This jam (marmalade?) is kinda bitter cause they left the orange rinds in but... I think I like it?
Intense to be sure, not what I'm used to for a jam, but it's still sweat too and if nothing else it's interesting
Also it's from costco so I have 4.4lbs of it, but like... interesting to be sure, and I do like interesting things. Plus I like hops at this point, so I've a history of acquiring tastes for bitter stuff (and I don't hate this at all, which is very different from my first hoppy beer)
Not the kinda thing I can scarf down, and I get how this probably sounds like sunk cost, but like... I can point to a history of me feeling similarly with this. I mean I've drunk and enjoyed coffee beer or Turkish coffee despite not liking coffee just cause they were interesting experiences
Anyway, that's me and this jam (or whatever it is, most of the label is in Korean and it doesn't actually say it's jam as far as I can tell, just that it can be used as jam or in tea or like 5 other things... I legit can't figure out what it actually says it is though, just what it does)
No... I'm sitting here tasting the aftertaste and got some more on my plate, and I do think I like it... I just don't think I can eat much at once, and I'm glad I bought two normal jams (well, spreads... there was a chart explaining the difference on here, but I forget the nuances... something about if you leave the solids in)
(Decided in the tags while I finished eating it that I do like it, so that's good)

Dating the teacher P2 plsssss <3 (if you want to do a part 2)
I was actually thinking about doing part 2 I just wasn't sure when, thanks for prompting me to do it :)) also sorry this took me so long, my motivation is still slowly coming back, which also explains why this is so short
Tumblr media
"Mom I swear the hot cocoa's good! Just try it!!!" Denki tries for the 5th time? You think it's the 5th, you started tuning him out because you're nervous.
It's christmas break for Denki, and you decided that it's finally the time for him to meet your boyfriend... his teacher.
"I'm good hon, I promise." You offer him a smile and he returns it.
"Okay! Anyway, I'm excited to meet your boyfriend. He's nice right? If he isn't I don't think we'll get along. You deserve to be happy after being alone for fifteen years." Denki's been chatting your ear off about Shota for the past two days (since he got back home). He doesn't know it's Shota though.
Denki made one of those ugly sweaters for him, so he could match you and your son. He wants to be a "happy family" his words not yours, you thought the two of you were a happy family, but Denki had said, "we're happy but not complete! Do you know what I mean? I don't know just ignore me." His words repeated in you're head for awhile.
It's true that you're happy.. but are you complete?
You're pulled out of your thoughts when the door bell rings. You can feel your stomach drop, "I'll go get it!" Denki runs to the door, you spring up off the couch and follow after him. He opens the door, "Good evening, Denki."
"Mr. Aizawa?!" Denki yells in surprise. His body twists to look at you.
"Are you sleeping with him to get me good grades?" Denki asks, and you open your mouth in shock.
"Denki! What the hell are you talking about? You get good grades because of your effort!" Aizawa quirks a brow at Denki's question.
"I'm so sorry Shota, come in." Your child is still in slight shock at the fact that you're dating his teacher.. teacher!!!!
------
The first couple of minutes are awkward. Shota's sitting next to you on the couch and Denki's sitting on the single seater furthest away from the couch. He doesn't say a word while the movie's playing. Obviously he's not too interested in it, he must be thinking you presume.
Shota rubs his large, warm hand up and down your thigh, an attempt to comfort you. "He'll come around, don't work yourself up over it." He whispers into your ear. You really wanted to cry, in your mind you'd hope everything would go well but with the way your son is distancing himself from you... must mean he doesn't approve, right?
"I hope so, I really want him to like you, Sho." Those comforting arms of his wrap around you. Shota Aizawa is the world's best cuddler, and anyone who disagrees can fight you.
"Mom."
Those nerves which just settled jumped sky high once again, "yes, baby?"
"I'm uh- happy for you. Hope you didn't get the wrong idea. I was just kinda shocked y'know. Like, Aizawa sensei of all people.." he trails off not finishing that sentence.
"I can assure you Denki, that I treat your mother well. Just as I take care of all my students. I'm sure you must think I'd be the last person to be domestic." Shota's voice is smooth as always and you calm down a little bit. Nervous breath slows into something somewhat normal.
"That's exactly what I was thinking! You're always in that sleeping bag and stuff. And you're mean sometimes!" Denki whines slightly and you take the opportunity to slip into the kitchen.
You'll let them talk, man to man... or man to boy? You'll never accept time aging up your baby boy.
The kitchen smells delightful, it's just cold enough for chicken noodle soup, so that's what you've decided to make. It's a recipe passed down in your family but you like to add your own little twist which makes it special.
If anything goes with chicken noodle soup it's grilled cheese. The cheese melts perfectly with the bread while it's cooking on your greased griddle. It's only been about thirty minutes since you escaped the living room and you hear Shota and Denki laughing together.
That weight on your shoulders has suddenly been lifted and relief settles in. Thank God, you were scared things would go south.
"Mom, you have to keep him. He told me he took you sky-diving for your birthday! I would have never expected him to go sky-diving but he went because you wanted to." A big smile cracks on your face when you see that glimmering shine in Denki's eyes.
"Hey Mr. Aizawa does that mean I can call you Shota outside of school?!"
"Shota, dad, whatever fits the bill, kid." Shota wraps his arms around your waist and places his chin on your shoulder. (i think i have an obsession with men hugging you from behind)
"That smells so good, pretty mama." He breathes out evenly. Your own breath hitches at the new nickname.
But of course your ever loving son ruins the moment, "ewwwwww disgusting! Can you flirt when I'm not right here?! I might barf in my chicken noodle soup."
Somehow you and Shota roll your eyes in sync and Denki snorts.
"I love you mom and dad." He says softly.
That fucking does it, the tears spill. Happy ones at that. Your son has accepted Shota into his life. You expected it'd at least be a few months, maybe years before he'd start calling him dad, but you figure with no father figure in his life, having one right now must mean the world to him.
"I love you too my sweet little boy." Shota wipes those tears with his big scarred hand.
"I'm actually not little I'm about sixteen years old." He argues.
"You've still got a few months until you're sixteen."

FSR rambles 19 traumatic things Link experianced
Tumblr media
Pet him like a cat shadow.
At least Link's normal enough to get up now.
Tumblr media
Awkward...
Shadow's like "Damn this is weird"
Tumblr media
Link's selectively mute still but I'd struggle to talk with four dipshits screaming like cracked out squirrels in my head too so ya know, I don't even blame him for being shitty at communication with Shadow rn.
He's got his priorities in order: FOOD.
Okay but you know Link is mad his plan failed literally the day after he employed it.
I'd be pissed anyway XDDDD
The four of em fell asleep, wake back up and they're right back to square one, ground zero the shit storm he tried to escape from.
That's horrifying in a way I can't quite articulate. "Hopelessness" is the only word coming to mind. Like, everything he did, it didn't matter. It was all for nothing they're BACK to how they were.
His hopes that pulling the sword would fix it: Crushed.
The literal only difference is that Shadow's here.
Which, is BETTER but damn if the disappointment from Link isn't palpable. You can only imagine what's going through his head rn after all this shit, he's just defaulting to a LITTLE BIT of normalcy in making breakfast.
Shadow's back to defaulting to doing: well nothing.
He isn't helping Link and is just WATCHING. Smth literally just yesterday was ALL HE COULD DO.
They're both just defaulting to what they're used to because this shit is too weird.
Is nice of Link to make enough for Shadow though. XD
Tumblr media
Haha okay I can get into this:
Literally Shadow and Link simultaneously know each other and don't.
In cannon: Shadow said ONE SENTANCE TO THIS MAN. A SINGLE THING. AND IT WAS MOCKING HIM LMFAO.
Yes Shadow had interaction with the colors but Link and Shadow: Nothing.
So of course he feels awkward around him.
They spent forever together and yet still feel so far away.
It's a tough situation.
Link pulling out the "you sure are quiet" is imo, him trying to be funny.
he continues with "thought you'd be more comfortable with me...at least considering how many times we've kissed"
Obviously this is in reference to Vio lmfao (...Also green but uh we'll get into that later). With Link's eyes matching Vio's.
Link is completely fucking with him and it's funny to me at least. Like he's so deadpan but he's being such a goof rn.
Though it is interesting to note how Link directly says Vio is him without any separation here. Since Vio also thought he was Link last night.
Tumblr media
WHY WOULDN'T HE REMEMBER SMOOCHING YA SHADOW???
Shadow clearly not knowing HOW Link works is kinda hilarious but also, nobody knows how this works.
Link casually referencing what Vio said in the fire temple, it's much more obvious now he's goofing with Shadow rn.
Shadow realizing the obvious, that Link IS the same person he's been hanging around just mashed together is a small but good reminder. Like link isn't a stranger fully. He's still the four of them.
Shadow just asking "Is this for me" would seem weird but uhh remember:
He didn't have a BED. He's been a SHADOW for YEARS. Like. Shadow being neglected isn't new. So it's a sad notion but he is shocked he'd be given food.
Link kinda having a "Wtf u mean? duh it's for you." moment.
Also the bomb drop that Link knows about Dark Link...Oops.
Exactly what relationship/how he KNOWS about Dark is kinda, left open since he doesn't elaborate what so ever...
It can be assumed he just knows what everyone else does. Buuut. There's always that "but"
Tumblr media
"Link what are you blabbing for they can hear you" - Shadow continuing to not understand how Link works. XD
I don't think it was mentioned anywhere before this but haha Blue was also in on the splitting Link plan. Vio and Red are the only ones left out of some of the loop it seems...But they were mainly worried about Vio catching on.
Link accuratly noting this nightmare isn't anything like the first time. Sorry buddy it's cause you're in an unrated comic by a weirdo fan vs any official Zelda comic. XDDD Which wouldn't allow 90% of what's in this comic I'm sure haha.
Also reasonable train of thought thought Shadow buddy about reverting back into a shadow. What a terrifying thought.
Tumblr media
Aw Link's being sweet and- TRIFORCE
Tumblr media
Yeah Shadow's sweating bullets considering uh the little fact Ganon said "Here catch, you're evil triforce of power man now"
Takes Link a second to remember back on that convo Shadow and Vio had about the triforce in the flashbacks. PG 179-182 ish if you're curious on brushing up on that.
Oh hi Vio.
Tumblr media
I don't think a lot of people caught that this was Vio's design from FS. Which is why Shadow was SO DISTURBED to see him like that. Link's very all over the place mentally and it's showing with his appearance. He's unstable as all hell right now.
Blue chiming in with "Wait a damn minute" remembering Zelda ALSO has the Triforce on her hand.
Tumblr media
Vio and Red are being obtuse/ignorant while Blue and Green know smth's up and are getting pissy about it.
Which just makes Link: All over the damn spectrum of emotion about this right now haha.
I'd get tonal whiplash too Shadow.
Tumblr media
Link going down the list of things he thought Shadow would want haha.
and Shadow's gay lil confession that all he really wants is Link is sweet.
I mean what else does he have to strive for? He gave up on a lot of his old dreams as pointless after becoming apart of the endless cycle of hatred.
It's noteworthy that Link's outfit glitches to black again.
Tumblr media
The line "Which you" was a very fun one to come up with. Because it just, hits ya.
Link isn't one entity. He's multiple. And he literally can't tell who Shadow's talking to in that moment. Because the underlying assumption (To Link and this will become obvious) is that Shadow really only cares about Vio.
All of last night is probably a complete blur/emotional whiplash around Shadow For Link.
Shadow threw a sword at Blue and was VERY hostile, was ALL OVER THE PLACE emotionally with Green mostly being bitter as hell, didn't really acknowledge red and Vio had a complete meltdown over his guilt surrounding Shadow and their friendship and relationship as a whole was all over the place.
Cram that all back together and what is Link supposed to take away from all that. Overall dude had a net negative experience with Shadow and now he's telling him he wants him?
I'd be confused as hell too.
Hi Zelda.
Tumblr media
Safe to say that was inevitable given how badly Link was bugging out this entire time.
He couldn't handle seeing Zelda haha.
Tumblr media
I don't think people caught Vio is just in his "headspace" outfit. Except it isn't pastel color palette.
Tumblr media
Panic attack, featuring Blue. He was the most vocally insistent they draw the sword, was activly trying to force his way out of Link's mish mash body during that whole ordeal. The main take away is that: He HATES being In Link and that was just about the worst nightmare come to life for him.
He doesn't even want Red to touch him, which considering the way it's all but stated Link's magical body is just their bodies pressed together into one form makes the angle that they're all LITERALLY touching each other that much more...ehhh disturbing.
Tumblr media
It's okay guys he just needs a minute alone-
Hah. Everyone's leaving you Vio. Doesn't press on the ol anxieties or anything.
Doesn't make it easy for a certain someone to come visit you.
Tumblr media
Vio's insecurities focusing around being ALONE and himself are smth that's been fun.
He mainly wants to be Link out of pure selfishness and self hatred. Link is an escape from his own accountability, a way for him to keep himself in check. While Blue finds it to be an outright prison.
Everything Dark is saying about here Vio could also be applied to himself and even Dark says that. He looks miserable while saying it too since Vio's problems are starting to hit a lot closer to home.
At least we got Shadow to yank Vio out of his funk. But Dark has no one to do that for him.
Tumblr media
Shadow petting Vio's face here while in a headlock is just, funny to me. Shadow can't affection properly at all lmfao.
But hey he knows when our lil buddy is active. Oops.
Tumblr media
Oh the fun they have together alright. 😏
It'll be a real wet and fun time-
What the hell Dark is talking about is left pretty open for now.
But he is getting sick of just sad reactions to what he says.
Tumblr media
He's nervous when faced with women. Same bro.
Green and Shadow begging for help on wtf to do with their new squid monster is pretty hilarious to me.
Tumblr media
Vio's being perceptive.
"IT IS!?" yeah red. And if you were an interesting character I'd write you doing things. :D
Tumblr media
HAH. TRAUMA. DARK LINK RELATED TRAUMA.
Surely that won't bite us in the ass later or anything...
Vio's outfit is very covered up because he's emotionally closed off yada yads I've mentioned this before.
Tumblr media
This hasn't been brought up in the comic but Green is afraid of tentacles lmfao so his fear at Dark rn is warranted.
Shadow blatantly not caring what Dark is doing rn because he's busy
Zelda notices right away that Dark defied vaati which must have been weird for her in real time hah.
Shadow's instant response to what to do with Dark is "Murder"
Nice to see you've grown so much shadow lmfao.
Notice how Link being around isn't even the thinly vailed excuse dude just doesn't like Dark Link lmfao. Most of what he said to Dark last night imo was pure projection and again: Not because he cared about Dark. But now he feels like they have an easy to to get rid of him via Zelda. Doesn't have to confront weird feelings if the guy is gone ooomf.
Zelda isn't outright apposed to getting rid of Dark Link but is like "Uhh...But what about link tho-"
Tumblr media
Shadow noticed his hair change.
I'm sure he noticed earlier, it's right in his eye sight but background detail of him actually looking at it like "Wtf?"
Also fun pressure to put on Green when he's strung out to shit rn.
Tumblr media
HI DARK LINK! :D
Tumblr media
Uhhhhhh. Okay then.
So Green's got murder trauma.
He's also just sick of the responsibilities piling on him like a crushing weight.
There's smth to be said about how Dark isn't a murderer so, doesn't have blood around his feet haha visual metaphores haha.
Tumblr media
So clarity: Link as a whole person murdered the people who killed his father. And Vio and Green were the ones who had main control in that moment.
Hope that clears some stuff up.
Dark finds this shit hilarious because he's sadistic but Green snaps out of the panic to realize THIS GUY IS DARK LINK.
The moment Green switches from his helpless attire into his current fit was very fun emotionally cause this was the first time someone had ANY amount of control when facing Dark Link. (Excluding Shadow I suppose, in terms of the colors anyway)
Green being a badass is just smth I enjoy and the "Oh shit moment" was very fun to watch people react to haha.
Tumblr media
Dark was so excited when seeing Green acknowledge him.
It really goes to show all of his "Nyeh you're such a shitty person" talk is literally not even his own opinion when it comes to the four colors. He's literally just repeating their insecurities and nothing else. Those words have NO BITE to them because Dark doesn't even believe it.
He's so excited to see Green because Green's the ONLY PERSON Who's truly acknowledged him in the head space.
Dark being so overwhelmed with joy he vomits.
Dark really doesn't have a lot of emotional regulation emotionally or physically. Like. The idea here is he's just, so excited he literally physically cannot handle that shit haha. I made a shitpost about it once but it's kinda just, accurate. XD
Tumblr media
Green's like "Wtf is wrong with you"
because this isn't ANYTHING he thought he'd be dealing with considering how Shadow was acting/talking about him lmfao.
He was expecting Shadow 2.0 and got...This guy.
Guy who apologizes when acting goofy as shit
Guy who is excited to see him overjoyed even...After utterly destroying him not 2 seconds ago.
Just. A silly. Goofy guy.
It is fun to have Dark switch IMEDIATELY to depressed as hell thinking about how he's been so alone.
I would really describe Dark's excitement here as pure mania. because at the root Dark is a depressed individual.
Tumblr media
Dark gives no shits when faced with death.
No begging or pleading for his life just "idk do what you want to I don't care"
Which, Dark Link's lack of care for his own personal safety has been shown off before and will only be a continued trend.
At the end of the day it shows a clear lack of self respect or care for himself.
Dark doesn't value himself.
Green's mercy here is rooted in his own selfishness.
He doesn't WANT to kill Dark Link because he doesn't want to hurt people. Which him and Vio did.
Green is ALSO very exhausted. And what you get is two individuals who would typically be at each other's throats, who aren't interested in fighting each other because they're just so worn out. The drive just isn't there.
Which leads them to being able to actually talk to each other in a meaningful way. And I just find that interesting.
Under different circumstances, these two very well could have fought here. XD

Hear me out, Soapghost, Brahm's The Boy. Eh?? Eh??
I've been talking about this movie a stupid amount lately so... yeah, I'll eat this up. CW: This is based off a horror movie so it's the normal stuff, violence, stuff like that but also noncon voyeurism (Ghost watches Soap without him knowing but also listens to him) and Soap is just in general a bit of a freak
Made quite a few changes but it's the same premise
His interviewer had been a kind older man named Price. He was only in his 30's and was clearly capable of running the place, but he had been told to hire someone while he took a much needed vacation. Apparently, no one else stayed in the house but Price, which seemed a bit odd as he was clearly someone hired on, not the owner. Price had went through all of his duties and most importantly, he went over the lovely, lovely salary.
Soap had thought this job was just a bit too good to be true. He had to do some basic house sitting things and then he was clear. Also, he had to be nice to this doll.
The thing was... honestly kinda cute. His body was soft cotton over some stuffing and a skull design. Yeah, he wasn't the best of dolls, but he was a doll.
A cute doll. But a doll. nonetheless. His name was Ghost.
Regardless, he followed the rules. He had grown up Scottish and hearing of Brownies and other little folklore creature. Make breakfast. Give Ghost doll a kiss on forehead. Don't question any weird happenings, it's an old house. Make dinner, leave a section for Ghost. And always make sure to leave a cup of tea out at night. One cream, two sugars. Extra strong tea.
It tasted like tea, just rather sweet. Soap didn't like it. He had tried to make himself a cup to have with the mystery thing in the walls, but he ended up stopping and going to bed after a while. Each time, the food and drink was consumed.
Soap had... accepted that something was there with him. He was fairly certain it was a cat or something that could smell the cream. Most of the dishes were fairly meat based or had a lot of broth. It didn't make the most sense, but the alternate was a dog and he'd rather not think about some silent mutt walking around stealing food off the tables. Riley, the only dog on the entire property, was far too well trained for such behaviors. The little dog was odd, often staring at the walls for hours or sometimes disappearing around corners. Soap wasn't a big fan of dogs but he did make exceptions for her.
Things were a little spooky sometimes, but Soap never found himself being frightened. I mean... Ghost was a pretty good protector he always joked with the people that delivered groceries. Plus, whether it be ghost, monster or a dog, it hadn't come close to Soap yet. It occasionally made the floor creak or moved things, but nothing bad or mischievous.
The fact that he got to live in this huge house that sprawled out over acres of land and had it's own lake was excellent too. Every week on Sunday, someone would deliver groceries. It was clear they were being altered slightly, no two exactly the same although meals interlapped all the time, but Soap chalked it up to a delivery system that lets someone schedule different orders.
"Do you know anything about the man that hired you?" The delivery guy always spoke in hushed tones, looking around the home nervously, as if a man would pop up out of nowhere to bring death and ruin, but now, they werespeaking at barely above a decibel, glancing around feverishly.
Soap shrugged. "No. Just know how much I'm paid and what my job entails. Why?"
"Simon Riley was an odd guy, even before the fires. Some people insist he started them. He's an odd fellow. if he hired you, I'd tread lightly." The man looked at him uneasily before glancing at the wall directly behind Soap. His mouth fell into a grimace. "Fucking freak."
Soap felt a weird surge of protectiveness. Yes, he had never met Simon in person, but the entire place felt like a huge memorial to his family. Each room decorated like they'd come back to it and, if this guy was to believed, that meant he had to recreate each detail. He was also a very generous employer and he'd never wronged Soap or anyone that he'd talked to. Soap wanted the man out of the house, feeling a very strong sense of being watched thanks to the entire situation. "Haven't met him. Thank you."
The man looked at him with something strangely similar to pity before nodding. "See you next week, MacTavish." He left Soap alone to put the groceries away.
"Fucking asshole." Soap started to put the groceries away and quickly heard the floor creak. "Ghost?"
Complete silence.
He ignored it and put everything away. After stretching real quick, back popping and limbs burning just a little, he tried to decide what to do. His shoulder injury was acting up so most things were out. Damn thing had already gotten him discharged after only a year in the services, he didn't see the reason for it to keep tormenting him.
Riley seemed to have an idea so he took her on a walk. Most dogs preferred schedules, Soap knew, but according to Price, Riley was an ex military dog and had a mind of her own. Soap thought she was like him and after the military, they just liked experiencing each day as a new thing. Not just a repeat of the old ones.
She stopped at the edge of the property and kept glancing at him before trying to trot a little farther away. Soap whistled and she walked back, clearly displeased that he didn't follow her. Riley barked at him and circled him before tapping her nose against his thigh like she was trying to herd him. He laughed her off and motioned back inside. She followed, though clearly still upset about it.
Soap went and showered, letting the hot water filter over him. Price had assured him that the only cameras were on the outside of the house, but he always felt watched in here. Ghost, his little doll companion, always waited outside. It was silly, not wanting the doll to be able to look at him, but he couldn't help it.
Right now, the feeling wasn't there and Soap took a deep breath before letting his hand slide down. He had no way of knowing that Ghost was right on the other side of the wall, silently holding his breath.
His hand reached down slowly, just barely stroking himself. He bit his lip hard and stroked himself a little more earnestly, getting a tiny gasp that set Ghost's insides on fire.
Soap closed his eyes, going through a few different scenarios. The first thought was of being interrogated, but it felt a bit too harsh. His thoughts drifted to the masked men he had met in the army. The idea of their hands on him.
"Please..." He choked hard, thrusting in hands. "Oh, please." Soap tried for a few minutes, but the edge he needed wasn't there. He shifted his weight, spreading his legs a little so he could reach his hand lower down to press against his hole..
The name popped up in his head. "Ghost." Why he said it out loud was beyond him, but it made the person listening very happy to hear. And very hard.
With shaking hands, Simon undid his belt and tried to make his hand follow Soap's movements based on the grunts and noises he heard. He could turn his head and look through the small crack and watch. Really give himself a show, but he wanted to show some restraint.
Soap managed to get his finger inside and groaned. "Please, Ghost. It feels good."
Ghost's breath sped up and so did his hands. His hips moved of their own accord, jerking up and chasing the pleasure. He could only imagine how Soap would feel. Probably far better than his hand. As long as Soap stayed in his house, he'd take care of him. He got rid of that nasty delivery guy and he'd get rid of anyone else.
Soap was his.
His.
He whimpered and heard Soap stop immediately. Ghost held his breath again as Soap quickly turned off the shower and they both waited to see what would happen.
"John?" Soap called out, listening.
Ghost didn't dare move an inch. This particularly floorboard was creaky and he couldn't risk it.
After a moment, Soap turned the shower back on and quickly finished getting himself cleaned up. He didn't finish though, clearly too freaked out. Ghost scratched at his skin, pissed he had just fucked that up.
Ghost fixed the grocery list again and Soap was happy to get the groceries from the new person the next week.
They were very nice and handed him everything. One of the items was a bottle of lube.
Soap felt himself turn bright red. He had long forgotten about the shower incident, marking everything down as the house settling.
How embarrassing.
However, the lotion was a high quality kind and it looked... Soap had only had lotion and his spit, neither were that great for penetration.
Minutes later, after the stuff that would go bad got put in the fridge, he was using it. He was gagging for it, a little upset his fingers could only go so deep. Soap was rough with himself, liked it that way. His fingers kept going after he felt he'd explode from overstimulation before he finally let himself collapse.
Ghost enjoyed the show and wondered how Soap would feel about dildos. There was no way he'd be able to put that in the order without suspicion, but if ever came out...
No. It was a horrible idea. Despite how nice and inviting Soap looked right now.
Then he came. An ex boyfriend of Soap's. It made Soap stupidly angry just seeing him and when he tried to go in to grab him, he almost clocked him. However, it was clear he was drunk and he wanted to know how he found this address so he bit his tongue and let him in.
"Johnny! Johnny!" He moaned, stepping around and around before finally stumbling into the couch. "You disappeared on me, babe."
Soap took a deep breath to try to calm himself. "I broke up with you, Kent. Remember? I'm not interested anymore." Riley sat nearby, a watchful eye. She did not growl or bark or even announce her presence. She waited.
"Listen, I know I made mistakes. But come on. They were honest."
"Let's talk about this when you're sober in the morning, yeah?" Soap made sure to enunciate, not wanting to hear any snide remarks about his accent from him. "I have things I need to do. Just sleep here." He grabbed Ghost, always careful to hold him with both hands and to his chest. The doll wasn't the largest thing and he was sure he could handle being dropped but... well, it just didn't feel right to do so.
Kent sat up. "What's that thing?"
Soap paused and mulled over his words. "Nothing too important. Just part of taking care of the house. I'll put it away real quick."
"Freak owner wants you to babysit his dolls?"
Soap felt himself bow up, gritting his teeth. Instead, he just bit that back as well. "Don't be so mean to the owner. He seems like a nice guy. Just go to sleep and don't throw up on the carpet." He fled the room, torn between wanting to scream at Kent or just beat him. Regardless, he didn't want to deal with him intoxicated at all so he'd wait until later.
Kent finally noticed Riley. "Thought you hated dogs."
"I do but she's a nice companion."
"You must have to vacuum constantly."
Soap paused and frowned. "What?"
"German Shepherds shed a lot unless you groom them regularly. Do you groom her?"
Soap knew fuck all about dogs, but as he thought about it, yeah, he had always heard people complain about how much shepherds shed and he hadn't groomed Riley once. A few hairs had been stuck to his palm after grooming, but her coat remained pristine. "No. Go to sleep."
Ghost went to his bed and received his little kiss on the forehead. Soap like always pulled the blankets up to the dolls chin and then patted him before leaving.
He didn't sleep well. Kept feeling like someone was standing over him.
Soap made breakfast, two plates sat side by side. It didn't really register until Kent was thanking him for cooking and scooping up his plate that he had a guest. Explaining that he had a weird arrangement with the thing living in his house seemed... well a bit insane. As much as he willingly followed the rules, he wasn't sure he wanted to explain them to anyone else. So he stayed quiet and silently apologized to Ghost.
Soap made himself coffee and a cup of tea that he purposely put out of Kent's sight. "So how did you find me?"
"Your mom. Johnny, this felt a bit extreme don't you think? I understand if you hate me. But ditching your whole family?"
Soap swung around, gripping the spoon in his hand like it was it was an actual weapon that could do damage. "Fuck you, Kent. You don't get to fuck around with other people, take advantage of the fact I lost my job, my career, my passion."
"Jesus, Johnny. You lost the military. Big fucking deal. It's better than if you got blown up out there."
"Would've preferred it to dealing with you."
Kent scowled and grabbed Ghost. "So what? You prefer sitting up here, playing dolls than being in the real world? Your family misses you and"
"They can keep missing me. I don't want to talk with them. I don't want to talk with you. And I really think it's best you leave."
Riley snorted and put herself between Soap's legs to heel. Despite her relaxed appearance and peaceful nature, not even hunting squirrels in her retirement, she was tensed up. Clearly ready to maul if just given the order.
"Riley, stay down girl." Soap lightly tapped his ankle against her side in a move he had seen the K-9 units at work use. "Kent, put the doll down. I think it's a sentimental thing for the owner."
"No. This is ridiculous. You sit up here, acting like this. For what? Some guy? You two fucking or something?"
"No, I haven't even met the guy, just put Ghost down." Soap could hear the desperation creeping into his voice.
Kent paused. "Ghost?"
If either of them bothered to stop and listen, they'd hear the creaking of the floorboards. Angry tapping on the walls.
Soap paused. "Yeah. The guy who hired me called him Ghost so I just started calling him that. Just put him down."
Riley left her heel and Soap almost panicked before seeing that she was standing by the mirror she loved.
Kent stared him, suddenly seeming a lot more hateful than he did just a moment ago. He then grabbed the doll and tore it along the inseam on the back.
Cotton fell out but so did scraps of cloth and something metal that hit the floor with a clunk.
Dogtags. Soap would recognize the sound anywhere. It made sense. Simon was probably ex military, same as Riley and Soap.
They sat on the floor next to the cotton and then there was another crack, this time of the glass on the mirror.
Kent whirled around, freezing for a moment. The lights ahead seemed to flicker, but that may have just been his imagination. Soap watched mutely as Kent went to the glass and touched it, following the cut. "Weird. Probably change in air pressure or so-"
A gloved hand smashed through the glass to grab him. Giant fingers pressed into his face as he slammed him into the frame of the mirror, letting him go and making him stagger.
Ghost shoved through the rest of the glass and leaned down to step through.
Big.
Soap pulled back, heart fluttering from fear. He watched this stranger with a skull mask just like Ghost's grab Kent and wrestle him to the floor effortless. Kent struggled but this man was a lot bigger and more importantly, better trained. He struck out and broke Ken's nose, blood splattering on the floor.
"Ghost!" Soap quickly tried to get his attention. The stranger faltered and looked up. Giant brown eyes looked at him. Prettiest eyes that Johnny had ever seen. "Stop."
Just as well trained as Riley, Ghost pulled back. He stepped on Kent's hand as he walked to Soap, staring down at him intensely.
Soap backed up into the kitchen island.
"Johnny." Ghost... purred. The name felt foreign on his tongue, but the response it got from Soap made it perfect.
"Simon?"
Ghost's eyes crinkled from smiling. "Yes. It's nice to finally meet you." He kept advancing until they were pressed against each other. Soap was taken back by the size difference but Ghost fixed that by leaning down. His mask face rubbed against his jaw and along his throat before... sniffing him.
Soap gripped the counter and took a deep breath. He wasn't afraid. Not one bit and honestly that should probably scare him or even just bother him but....It didn't. It didn't at all.
"Johnny." Ghost pressed tight against him, hands finding their way to his hips before sliding them under his shirt. "Thank you, thank you."
Soap wasn't sure what Ghost was thanking him for but before he could ask, he heard the dull thwack of something hitting Ghost's back.
There was a moment of silence before Ghost caught the poker on it's second swing. He glanced at Soap, clearly pleading.
"Go for it."
Watching Ghost beat Kent should've done something. Maybe he should've ran. But Soap had missed the violence and he did not miss Kent one bit.
Watching Ghost move was alluring as well and Soap felt a flush get to his cheeks as his body reacted. He should tell him to stop. Kent wasn't moving.
Soap let out a sharp gasp and Ghost turned his head back to him, blood splattering on his mask now.
"I'll be good." Simon promised. "Better than him. I'll be your good boy."
Johnny stared at him. "I know you will. My good boy, yeah?"
Simon let go of the poker from the fireplace, letting it slide. "Sunshine, do you mind giving us the room?"
Riley ran, knocked her head against his leg, and then quickly ran out. Tail wagging.
"You call her sunshine?"
"Course. She's my sunshine and you're my love." Simon said it so earnestly. So big and so hot and then he was pressing Soap against the island again. "Kiss?"
Soap swallowed and kissed his cheek, making Ghost whine. "Please... Please..." He tilted his head, making it clear what he wanted but letting Soap lean in. Their lips meet, the soft fabric between them getting in the way but Soap could still feel Ghost's lips moving against his own.
Simon pulled away, eyes hazing and adoring. Almost obsessive. He rubbed his cheek against Johnny's. "I'll be your good boy."

fuck it. ethan hair ranking
it's saturday im bored i don't want to practice mozart anymore. let's go
I'm gonna rank bottom to top this time and include visual aids. none of my choices are going to be much of a surprise to anyone who knows my particular tastes I think.
7. Dead Reckoning Part 1
Tumblr media
Ethan is just gorgeous in this movie but his hair doesn’t do it for me. It’s short enough that it can’t have the same personality as it does at Fallout or MI1 length. It looks good on him! But it’s kinda flat. It's just fine. Also it doesn’t strike me as being a character choice so much as a “McQ likes TC’s hair better short” choice
6. Fallout
Tumblr media
I would like to formally apologize to arc @callmearcturus i am sorry for slandering your boy like this. I love him too. fallout ethan is objectively the finest look that ethan has ever had I love him even above my dearly beloved MI1 ethan. He's deeply beautiful and i love him so much my heart hurts. but for me it's not the hair it's the Vibes. the vibes are here but the hair is just. it's a haircut. It's just normal to me, it’s floofy which I appreciate but. still. It’s a nice looking cut. Good for cosplaying a man. Utilitarian. It works well on Ethan but it doesn't capture my fascination.
5. MI3
Tumblr media
it might also be time for me to formally apologize to mar @malewifebillcage for slandering her boy.......mi3 ethan's hair is also just a cut to me. and objectively i think the fallout cut even looks better on him. but I love MI3 hair dearly and deeply for character reasons because it’s such an aggressively rom com cut it really feels like Ethan googled “house husband” for reference pics. so i like it better cause it amuses me
4. MI1
Tumblr media
I'd like to formally apologize to myself for slandering my own boy. (Also Luther in the back hi Luther I love you.) Ethan's hair in this movie is also excellent characterization and provides a perfect baseline for all my Ethan Hunt hair meta thoughts. And it’s so expressive! I love how spiky it is! That being said while it has a lot of personality it is simply not as aesthetically gorgeous to me as some of the cuts I ranked higher. MI1 Ethan I’m sorry
3. Rogue Nation
Tumblr media
rogue nation Ethan literally takes my breath away at times with how beautiful he is. I am obsessed with the subtle length and swoop and the way it falls over his forehead. It’s the kind of hair that says “I had my gender crisis years ago and decided my gender was Gorgeous”. And yet it isn’t Character Driven enough for me to have it at the top
2. MI2
Tumblr media
mi2 hair i think about you all the time.
both rich in Character Implication and mind-blowingly pretty. This is his hot girl summer hair his cherry bomb by the runaways hair it’s his ‘blew up my dad who wants me’ hair. It’s so far from the MI1 ingenue that it leaves manwhore in the dust and wraps back around to ingenue again. This is the hair of a man (????) who is trying so very hard to be absolutely anything other than what he is that he becomes exactly what he doesn’t like being. Every single image of him with this hair is like a masterclass in gender and rebellion and trauma and self discovery. and I Want To Run My Hands Through It.
But! there is something about the MI2 hair that feels. Styled and calculated and superficial. Hair for an Effect. Which is part of what I love about it! It’s also why this hair isn’t my absolute favorite. That title goes to:
Ghost Protocol
Tumblr media
Ghost Protocol hair my absolute fucking beloved. What tips this hair over the edge for me is the way it looks when he’s tired and disheveled, in the prison breakout scene, in the car after the Kremlin, etc. This hair feels so natural for him, it’s a bit wild and floppy and makes him look kinda like a Creature instead of a man (I mean this in the most flattering way possible). He’s not trying to claim gender the way he is in MI2 or MI3, he’s…doing his own thing. It’s somehow both a utilitarianism and an indulgence. He’s not trying to fit in anywhere, he’s not trying to be anything, he’s in his base state and it’s fucking gorgeous. I guess for me this is the thing—MI4 is the movie where Ethan doesn’t have to function as a member of society, and has been free of functioning as a member of society for a while now. And this is the result. I could stare at him forever<3

What if HS Sammy had an identical twin no one knew about?
Imagine the drama it could start! The possibilities! The confusion! The funny events!
ImAgInNnNnEe-
(there's not many stories out there with identical twins and I need this for my fav comfort character pls-)
Yeah, sure!
----------------------------------------------------------
There was a man who looked like Sammy in the studio. But he was not Sammy.
At least, people were pretty sure this wasn't Sammy. For starters, he spoke with a Southern accent. It was a thick one too. None of them could place where it was from, exactly, but it was very different from Sammy's normally flat accent.
Second, he was friendly. Incredibly friendly. He'd walked into the studio and immediately struck up a conversation with the employees who had been milling around in the entrance area. Sammy never talked to anyone until he'd had his coffee. And even when he had, other people usually had to initiate conversations. Sammy didn't just walk up and start talking to people unless it was about work. This action had thrown all of the employees for a loop, except for Susie, who had immediately responded as if this was completely normal.
"This is kinda freakin' me out, man," Wally whispered to Henry as the two of them watched this strange Sammy lookalike cheerfully chattering with Susie. "I never thought I'd see Sammy's face lookin' so...happy."
"It is... a little weird," Henry admitted. He was having a bit of a hard time wrapping his head around this, partially because of how tired he currently was.
On one hand, he was pretty sure this wasn't Sammy. It wasn't like Sammy to play a prank like this. But on the other hand... Sammy had been known to do unexpected things when pushed by spite.
He was about to go ask this Sammy lookalike if they could help him with something when Bendy suddenly entered the room. With Sammy behind him.
All of the employees froze, staring between Sammy and his lookalike with open mouths. Aside from Susie, Sammy, and his lookalike. Even Bendy looked shocked.
"...I'm not the only one seein' this, right?" He said. "There's two of 'em, right?"
"We see it too," Henry confirmed.
"Hey, Sam!" The lookalike gave a big smile, waving to Sammy. "Hope you don't mind my droppin' by."
"It's fine." Sammy waved a hand dismissively. "You seem to have broken my coworkers, though."
"Who is he?!" Wally yelled, pointing at the lookalike. "Why does he look like you?!"
"Oh, this is Sammy's brother!" Susie supplied brightly. "His name's Peter!"
"You have a brother?!" One of the other workers exclaimed.
"Can't believe you have a brother and you never told us." Bendy shook his head in exaggerated disappointment.
"Sam does like to keep his cards close to his chest," Peter laughed. "Been that way since we were kids."
"People don't get to know things about me unless I want them to." Sammy folded his arms.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Peter." Henry stepped forward, extending a hand. "What brings you by the studio?"
"Nice to meet you too!" Peter replied. "I was just droppin' by for a visit." He paused before adding, "And because Mom and Dad are worried about Sam."
Susie looked over at Sammy, eyebrow raised. "You haven't been calling them, have you?"
Sammy pointedly avoided looking at anyone, arms still folded. His silence spoke volumes.
"Tsk tsk, Samuel." Bendy continued to shake his head,. "You can't go makin' your parents worry like that."
"I just forget, alright?" Sammy grumbled. "I have a lot on my plate. Calling gets... lost along the way."
"Which is why I'm here to remind you." Peter closed the distance to put a hand on Sammy's shoulder.
Sammy slowly turned to face him, his eyes narrowed. "You came here on purpose to embarrass me, didn't you?"
"Not specifically to embarrass you." Peter's smile widened. "I wanted to meet your coworkers too!"
Sammy let out a long sigh, rolling his eyes. "You're lucky I have good coworkers."
"I wouldn't have done this if you didn't."
"Oh!" Susie clapped her hands together. "While you're here, we have to show you the Music Department!" She didn't wait for a response, immediately grabbing Sammy and Peter's arms and beginning to drag them away.
"Wait, no! I need to show Henry the song!" Sammy protested.
"I'll show him!" Bendy assured him, arm snaking out to snatch the papers from Sammy's hand.
And with that, the Lawrence brothers were dragged away by Susie. There was a moment of silence before Wally suddenly asked, "D'you think he's got any embarrassing stories about Sammy?"
Bendy grinned, looking positively demonic as he rubbed his hands together. "If he does, we're gonna get every one of 'em."
Henry just smiled to himself. He had a feeling Sammy wasn't going to live this down for a while.

Hey guys. Sorry for being quiet for a month. Hopping on here to let y'all know that I do still have a pulse. Things have been... fine? I guess? Here's a bit of a wordy update on my situation right now, but the tl;dr is, I'm good, HE is still on hiatus, but I'll get back into the groove soon hopefully. Also happy holidays!
The mysterious and vague 'personal life stuff' is still ongoing, and I really don't know how long it'll be something that I have to deal with. I'm continuing to not elaborate because it is very much a personal life thing, but I can assure you that nobody's dying or anything grim like that.
On an only somewhat related note, my expendable income has shrank dramatically in the past few months, so I've been having to get a lot more stingy with what I spend money on. I'm not poverty stricken; I can still afford rent and bills and groceries and whatnot, I just gotta cut corners where I can so I can actually build up my savings.
What does this mean for Humanity's Endling? Well, it's... still on hiatus, technically. But really it just means I'm picking up more shifts than I'd usually care to, which means less time to actually work on it. If work were being done on it to begin with. I'm also cutting out my NSO subscription, which unfortunately means I will not be playing Splatoon 3 much at all anymore. Granted, I was kinda taking a break from it already, so it's not like I've been getting my money's worth of the subscription anyways. So if you were curious about my absence during this most recent Big Run, or the lack of a lengthy season observation/headcanon post like last time, that is why.
All of that said, it's not like I haven't been writing at all - just been hard focusing what creative juices I'm still able to generate given my situation on the accursed TTRPG I've mentioned in prior rambles, as that's an actively running thing that I kinda need to constantly pump stuff out for.
Speaking of which, I pulled a Super Mario Galaxy and wrote a whole ass children's book for the players to find as a lore thing. It was written with the intention of just being a normal children's book in a bubble, but when viewed with the context of the entire campaign thus far, takes on a completely different meaning. Which is to say, you don't need to know a damn thing about the campaign to appreciate the story - a theory I tested by having two people who aren't players read it.
One almost cried. The other actually cried. And when the players found it in our most recent session, one of them also cried, and we had to take a breather after the fact.
Not to pat myself on the back or anything, but I feel like that's one hell of an achievement. So I am pretty proud of myself for that. If you guys are interested, I might clean it up a bit and post it either on Ao3 as an original work or just straight onto this tumblr. It's only about 2k words, so it should fit nicely in a single post.
That's all I can really think of to say at the moment. Again, even though I might seem a bit quiet, I am still here. I take a peek at tumblr at least once a day to see if anyone's sent any asks or anything like that, so don't be afraid to toss something into my inbox if you have a question.
Oh, and for the anon who sent an ask suggesting me to upload what I have of Act II done already - I don't exactly plan my stories in a linear fashion, nor do I write them as such either. It's closer to me thinking of the major moments I wanna do, plotting out how to connect them, refining, refining, refining, rearranging, refining, scrap half of what I have done, rearranging, suddenly having an epiphany, scrapping another chunk... yeah, it's a bit chaotic. I see what you're trying to say though, and I do appreciate the suggestion, but it can't really be done with the way I go about writing.
That's it from me. Happy Holidays. Play Cyberpunk 2077. It's a good game, I swear. Or Undertale Yellow if you own a toaster. It's me, I own a toaster. I played Cyberpunk on my brother's computer. Thanks, bro. Love you.

Conversation
B104's Mike and Steph
Steph: Louis Tomlinson, welcome to the show!
Louis: Hello, thanks for having me!
Steph: Indeed. You know him, you love him, his song, Bigger Than Me, has been a big hit in our station and if we can get right into it, I understand that the video of the song was shot in Iceland and... Tell us about that experience, how did you decide?
Louis: It was amazing! I've been luck enough to be, been to Iceland before. The song, in my opinion, it carries a certain level of ambitious, kinda big song and chorus so I wanted something that kinda matched that vision, visually ambitious and Iceland, as a place, is just beautiful, every way you look, so kinda was the most appropriate place to create a video like that.
Mike: So, Steph, you were possibly thinking about taking your husband to Iceland?
Steph: He has always wanted to see the Northern Lights and yeah, I can only imagine you've seen them--
Louis: I haven't, I wish, I wish I had. No, I had, I've been, I wanna say three times? Two times? Three times now to Iceland and every time we've been...
Steph: It [lights] have just not shown up!
Louis: It's just, yeah, haven't been a good time to see 'em, unfortunately, yeah, but amazing, amazing place, it do look amazing. Are you gonna go?
Steph: Yeah, we're planning for our anniversary coming up, so probably the next two or three years.
Louis: Nice, nice! Big anniversary, is it? Is it big anniversary?
Steph: Well, next year is our 19th [anniversary], so it's been a while--
Louis: OHHHHH, OKAY OKAY!! Love that, love that! Congrats!!
Three: [laugh]
Steph: So BTM is the first song, of course, on FITF which comes out in November 11th and, can you describe your inspiration for the album? Maybe give us as a hint on the musicians you've collaborated with you...
Louis: Yeah, I was lucky enough on this album to work more artists than like professional songwriters, and you get a different kinda of duty of care with every single song, it's so important and has it's own importance whereas sometimes you go in with professional songwriters and it's not the case of everyone but people are kinda looking the singles and that sometimes the creation of the creative process and I find that really really fulfilling working with more artists in general across this record, and in the sense of inspiration, this whole album was written with the next tour in mind and by far the most excitement I've had as an artist is in those moments and I'm lucky enough to have an incredible energy and atmosphere with the fans at the shows so is just about trying to meet them [fans] in the middle, really, and create as much excitement through the music coz I know they're gonna deliver it as a crowd.
Mike: Will you turn the mic to the crowd?
Louis: [very excited] YEAH
Mike: Is that because you forgot the lyrics?
Louis: [laughs] Is funny you should say that because I'd say maybe one in four gigs I normally forget one of my lyrics, one of the One Directions one but hm, sometimes, I'm : take a breath, man... These days, I'm not used to sharing the stage with me own like, you get a little bit knackered so every now and then you be like 'alright, you can sing it'. That's why I'm blessed, because they [fans] always singing back to me, it'd be pretty awkward holding the mic out there and getting nothing in return! I'm, I'm lucky like that, man!
Mike: OMGosh, that'd be the worseeee
Louis: It would be horrible, man!
Mike: You hold the mic and they go, 'I don't know what you're talking about'
Louis: Exactly!
Mike: That's when you know the crew is going in the wrong direction
Louis: Yes! Maybe time to hang your boots then!
Mike: Hey, talking about something you do with the fans, this Away From Home Festival you do, which is pretty incredible, tell us more about that.
Louis: So the first year was, last year was the first year we did it, and I had the idea for a while, it's always been a dream of mine to put out a festival, an event, of that size. The first gig we made was free, was basically just a thank you to the fans for how incredible they've been but also me and meself at the time, at lockdown was missing live music massively so was kinda a celebration of like music being back as well and hm, I mean, was a dream of mine, to do it every year but I didn't know how it was gonna go the first year and first year was a success. We just done the second year, which was in Spain, and the, the level of growth from first year to where we are at now already feel pretty drastic, so, something I'm really really proud of, it allows me to be able to a) give a platform to, you know, up and coming bands to, maybe wouldn't have access to that kinda of opportunity at that time in their career but also [b] this has been really exciting and really enjoyable for me, I get a real opportunity to say to my fans 'This is what I love listening to', and I actually find it really fulfilling now that the festival just gone this year, watching the reaction from the fans, loving the music that I also love, that obviously fills me with pride. Definitely.
Steph: We're following our twitter feed and all the fans from various countries that were putting hat like a committee 'Come to our country'--
Louis: [laughing] Yeah, yeah, yeah!! Exactly!
Steph: So, do you have an idea of where you'd like to do the next AFHF?
Louis: I... I've got a couple of ideas, but all depends on specifically what direction we wanna take next, for example, I'd love to do it over 2, 2 days as oppose to one day next year, so it might be where the most appropriate place to pull off something like that is, I'd like to to bring it here, to America, but I don't know about next year, might be a year after but at some point, definitely. Be a shame not to bring it here.
Mike: I think you just pick the place you wanna vacation in, and go there!
Louis: That's a smart idea, maybe I'd start with that. I'd like to that, I like that! Yeah!
Mike: How do you find the bands that you bring in... It can be a very though start, [Louis: nods in agreement] its a though business, you know it is [...] How do you find the bands that you bring to these festivals? To give them a little leg, a little start up?
Louis: Lot's of different ways, really, something I'm, something that's always been really important to me is bands on the up and kinda helping in whatever way I can in the development stage of these people's career but also lots of different ways that land them a lap. It might be a banda I'm a fan of and maybe supporting that band kinda peak my interest, or there's loads of like in the UK, there's this thing called BBC Introducing, they have a massive support for like up and coming bands so its just, its just, I have my own ways now and every now and then and is a choice, you kinda have to go out and find these bands but if you spend one hour a week, you'll definitely find some great, great, stuff and sometimes it just lands on your lap
Steph: Now, we were talking about having the fans sing back to you when you hold the mic but do you think is the most beautiful thing that your fans do, or have done, for you?
Louis: Do you know what? I, I, I, do get asked this every now and then but it's hard to put it into one thing, really, wow. I feel immensely lucky, is any opportunity that my fans have to kinda show me their love and dedication, they come in tenfold every single time! So, for me, it's just the consistency of like from the start of my career, right now through to me doing my solo stuff, just the level of passion, that I see from the fans at the shows, around release times, wherever it might be, it still blows my mind. It really does.
Mike: It's a pretty crazy idea and this is such a... I don't know how people handle it. You went for a song contest--
Louis: Yeah, the XFactor
Mike: And the next thing you know, your career was skyrocketing like a roller coaster and everything's happened and now you're on your own, I mean, how do you handle that at such young age?
Louis: Well I-- No, go on
Mike: Coz what age you discovered that?
Louis: 18
Mike: 18??
Louis: And I was the oldest in the band as well
Mike: I've a son who's 18 and I have a daughter who's 17 and 18, crazy age, everyone asking 'what are you gonna do with your life?' and suddenly you have this coming rash. How do you handle that?
Louis: I will say where we were lucky and obviously it was very quick rise for us in the band, but where we were lucky, is that we had each other and we often used to speculate when we were younger, what it would be like going from this experience on your own. Now, we're all obviously going through it now on our own but with the experience we've had with the band, and also, a little bit older now, it was just having for all the like minded people going through the same experience, people that you could actually talk to about what was going on your life. That helped massively, and I think if you were kinda tacking it on your own, I've had a lot of ?? for every solo artist, especially young ones, because it does, it can be challenging at times and that's why it was good to have the lads to kinda lean on when you needed to
Steph: We're talking to Louis Tomlinson, his album FITF is coming out on Nov 11th, the single BTM you can hear on the station and the beautiful video shot in Iceland, and I'm doing that because we have a lot of questions from fans. Who is your favorite football player at the moment?
Louis: Uh, good question, ehh, I would say lets go with Jude Bellingham, plays over in Germany at the moment, English lad, great prospect, so will go with Jude.
Steph: Ok. And [...] what's the best topping-ice cream combination? That you enjoy the most, perhaps.
Louis: Now, topping or flavour? Coz... I don't really do toppings but mint chocolate ice-cream. That's the one. That's the one.
Steph: And you can't never have just one little cup, it has to be like a tube.
Louis: Massively, yeah, yeah.
Steph: Performing live gets a little bit less nerve wrecking as time goes on? What do you tell yourself before performance to keep your nerves from getting to you?
Louis: I'd [sigh] It's a difficult question because you definitely still get nervous before every single gig. I'd say live TV is kinda like 10x more nerve wrecking than actually a gig, but I do think that as time goes on you become more comfortable and once you build up a consistency where I've been lucky enough to do my tour routine 80 times, on the last show I was still really nervous, but you got the muscle memory of 79 shows before that and you know you're going to be able to get through and you can do it to a good level so I think that consistency in time has a way in the nerves a little bit. In terms of what I say to meself before I go on stage not a lot, really, I normally just have a deep breathe and get like 10 seconds to meself in me head just before I walk out and then... Coz, the thing is: there's nothing you can thing in your head, it's not very human, really, to be out there and have that kinda level of attention and hear the screams, so you kinda just gotta cross your fingers
Mike: You still get nervous? I think, in a way, is kinda good?
Louis: Oh yeah, man but yeah, definitely, definitely. My vocal coach always says there's not really a big difference in terms of feeling nervous and excitement and I think if you didn't get nervous before those situations, I think it would make it all feel a little bit more dull. Part of the pay off, is part of the pay off!
Mike: DO you feel the energy from the crowd?
Louis: Massively. I've done a lotta shows this year and and 90% of the show is where it tells you where it's going. Shows you're tired, or a little hangover, or whatever it might be, and what is incredible is when you feel you're not really ready for the show and you walk out there and you're hit around the face with that incredible adrenaline and reaction from the crowd is undeniable. You really do feed of their energy, specially in those moments where you really need it. You really feel it.
Mike: Do you ever sneak into a bar and do a little karaoke?
Louis: Do you know what the funny thing is? About karaoke is? I really do NOT like karaoke. Not gonna lie, the thing is, Im tryina think of a decent analogy, but can't think of one at the top of me head, but when I spend all me life singing, to go in socially and sing, on me down time, it's a little bit excessive. I enjoy watching everyone else, definitely, but singing meself? Nah! Do enough of that in my life.
Steph: Are you planning going on tour?
Louis: Yeah, definitely, it's my favorite part of the job, I'll do as many tours as the fans allowed me for to be fair, so yeah, definitely, at some point next year, I think we're just finalising all that
Steph: Can we play Charlotte [a fan]'s question? No, so I'm going to pretend to be Charlotte from Arizona
Louis: Have you got the accent? [laughs]
Steph: What color do you think I should paint my nails?
Louis: Great question. Hm... What color do I think you should use? Sounds like a question to yourself, really, whatever you think you should. Never painted me nails, so I don't know.
Steph, impersonating the fan: What's your favorite color? Maybe I will paint that color?
Louis: Let's go red. [To Steph] Very nice, very nice!
Steph: Some of the more ?? questions fans have asked you? Can you even share?
Louis: There's, there's... What did I get asked the other day in an interview and I was like ?????? I don't know if it was a fan question or not, but who's the nicest smelling person you've ever met, that's what I was asked the other day and I don't go around smelling people, you know? So I have't got an idea, man! [laughs] Yeah, there's often some more random questions. Me least favorite question is when people ask me if I was a super hero, what super power I'd have [laughs] [Steph: that's one of Mike's go to] YEAH YEAH HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA
Mike: Got some quick questions for you. Cat or dog?
Louis: Dog
Mike: Do you have dogs at home?
Louis: I have two dogs. I'm not a big fan of cats. Don't trust them.
Mike: The other one slipped me mind...
Steph: It didn't, it was the superhero question!
Louis: EXACTLY, EXCTLY! [laughs] YEAH YEAH, at least we know! [laugh]
Mike: What do you do on your down time?
Louis: Hm, just really normal things, really. The other night [???] we went out to the bar to watch boxing. I mean, just really obvious social things really. When I'm back home I like to spend time with me mates, maybe go for a drink, maybe watch the football, just pretty normal. I watch a lot of rubbish TV
Mike: Any reality show?
Louis: I ain't got much time for any reality show. Ironically, I came through one, TXF, other than that, I got no time for that. I like a lot of crime stuff, there's a lot of stuff on Netflix. A lot of mysteries.
Steph: How do would you like to be remembered in the future?
Louis: Hm, that's a big question, as an honest person, I suppose I kinda fit both: I'd like people to remember me by doing the right by people and 9 times out 10 I always try to, so yeah, that would be nice.
Mike: I think it's a nice birthday gift to release the album on your [Steph's] birthday.
Louis: Is a nice gift, isn't it? [laugh] You're welcome, you're welcome!

Hello! I wanted to ask about a disabled character I’m writing and if this is correct!
My character is around 15 and has chronic pain with his legs (since he was 6), usually it’s not that bad but his friends made up a scale based on how he comes to school. If he walks to school just fine, the pain feels like pins and needles but manageable with painkillers, if he uses a cane, he’s limping most likely and the pain is slightly unbearable, one of his friends will always offer to hold his backpack if he can’t. The worst pain is when he doesn’t come to school at all because his legs can’t move without him crying or they hurt so bad that he needs a wheelchair.
He also goes to physical therapy and it’s talked about pretty casually. Sometimes the character will tackle their friend and the convo kinda goes like this
“Huh?! Weren’t you in therapy?”
“I waaaass!! But we finished early!!”
Like it’s not something that’s hush hush. It’s just part of his life. Sometimes the character does ask for more painkillers than usual though, so his friends are conflicted since they don’t want him gaining an addiction:
Idk if I wrote this character well enough so any tips on how to improve?
Hello, and thanks for your question!
I'm going to address your ask in two parts, the first being the way the character's friends respond to his variance in pain levels.
I think your approach to handling this sounds pretty appropriate for this character. It's natural for our friends to interpret our visible pain signals and respond to them in different ways, especially when we're struggling with mobility. I think having his friends proactively offer to help him without him having to ask or thinking of this as a burden or a favour is a nice way to have them accommodate him, and I like that you're depicting natural variance in pain levels for someone with chronic pain without making people question whether your character is "actually disabled."
Casual reference to physiotherapy is also pretty realistic--it's just a normal part of life for plenty of disabled people and there's no need to make it into a big deal, especially if your character's friends have known him and been aware of his disability for a long time.
The second part I'd like to talk about is where I start to get uncomfortable. This will be a little long, but I'm hoping the clarity will be helpful not just to you but to others who may have considered similar elements in their own writing as well.
You mention that when your character requests more painkillers, his friends are concerned about him becoming addicted to them. Firstly, I have a few logistical questions about this. It's unclear to me from your description who exactly is dispensing his medication, since you mention he is specifically asking for a higher dose. Why are others dispensing his medication for him? What happens when he's alone and needs medication? If these are controlled substances, how do they have access to collect it for him? Or is he asking his doctor(s) for a higher prescription dosage, and his friends are uncomfortable with that?
The fear that he will become addicted to his painkillers is an element that I would strongly recommend scrapping entirely. There is immense stigma towards disabled people who rely on painkillers. Countless disabled people are denied medication by medical professionals who label us "drug-seeking" and think it's worse for us to take medication than to be in debilitating pain, or argue that we're seeking the painkillers in the first place "to fuel an addiction" rather than for their intended purpose... which is to manage pain. This attitude has had disastrous consequences for many disabled people who have been denied access to or forced off of their medication by doctors.
Reliance on painkillers to live a happy, functional life is really not as big a deal as most abled people make it out to be. It's hard enough just for us to get our painkiller prescriptions in the first place if we need anything stronger than your average over-the-counter medication. Remember that we take painkillers because the alternative is often physically and psychologically unbearable; judgment from our abled loves one on this front is neither helpful nor appropriate.
To be frank (and this not directed at you but rather at society as a whole), it really bothers me that many abled people worry more about addiction than us spending our lives in real, immediate and severe pain. It also further stigmatizes people with addictions by framing "becoming an addict" as the worst possible outcome for someone. They deserve empathy and support rather than being shamed and dehumanized, and I don't think they should be pitted against disabled people as though their needs are any less legitimate or important than ours.
Overall, I think you're on the right track with the way your character's friends respond to his needs in a practical way, but I'd suggest either removing their concern about his medication entirely, or reframing their concern to be about something else. For example, they might be concerned about the degree of pain that he's in and whether it means his disability is progressing, etc. I don't think his friends should be commenting on his medication use at all, and especially not actively denying him access to his medication.
Other disabled people feel free to add your thoughts!

Statement of Grian... no last name, huh. Statement of Grian, regarding luring fishing experience. Original statement was given 12 of February, 2024. Audio recorded by [static] the head archivist of [static]. Statement begins.
I've never been quite into fishing before. Not much of surprise, I probably don't look the type, I know. And I don't think I am "into" fishing now, to be crystal clear. Actually, I think that I won't be able to even think of fishing after all this is done. I will just try my best to forget this ever happen and come back to the architecture.
It was meant to be a break, okay? I was in quite the burn out recently. Work, work, work and more work just piled up my back, not giving me any room for breathing. More projects, more calculations, more designs, more thrown out expensive paper. More awful people I have to deal with to explain why their idea of the architecture and exterior design not only majorly impractical, but also dangerous. And I was having none of it.
Of course, when I saw that damn advert, I didn't hesitate to throw it all far away for some needed pause. Here, I wrote down exactly what it was saying.
[There's an attachment to the file of a small paper, on which was written down the words "Stillwaters Paradise - the best place to relax and take it slow, while the time swirls around you". There's also some artistic rendition of what the advert looked like in a rather sketchy drawing of lake and forest]
The next thing I know I was at that park, paying for my stay. I remember the woman that met me at the counter. Something about her gave me the willies, maybe it was her almost white grey eyes, that seemed a bit big for her face, that stared at me with distant expression. Her hair were sticking to her face and neck in way they would if they were wet. She reminded me of a dead fish, holding her lips slightly open.
She asked me if I'd like the fishing equipment go into my check. At first I tried to refuse, but her eyes made me feel dizzy as she was talking about how great this park is for all fishermen, so I reluctantly agreed.
At first I was just taking a nice stroll around the park, taking in the nature, since it was beautiful, haven't visited that many natural resources in the UK, or anywhere, for that matter, but the place was gorgeous, full of different trees and flowers. What I did notice however was that it was quiet. Uncanny quiet, I mean. No birds, no flies, no mosquitos, no anything. Just the sound of leaves moving on the wind.
It weirded me out a lot, but I wrote it off as me being stressed and overworked or something. Coming to a lake, I noticed multiple sets of fishing equipment in the shack nearby, I remembered that I actually payed for it, so might as well make my money worth, I figured and took one. I know, it sounds kinda stupid in hindsight, but I didn't know at the time that it's not a common practice. As I said, never was a fishing guy.
There were a couple of people who were fishing there already. None of them greeted me or even glanced at me, when I came down to a shore. Weird, but I just thought it's because they were really concentrated on what they were doing. They still creeped me out so I took a place as far of them as I could. I tried to make sense of the fishing equipment stuff I got, it seemed pretty straight forward from sidelines. And soon the float was in the water, innocently bobbing around.
At first it was somewhat normal I caught a couple of small fish, no clue what they are, but they gave enough of rush of emotion to continue on fishing.
I was staring at the float, there it was making a small circles on the water surface, I felt my eyelids get heavier and it took me a lot of strength to keep the open. My stomach started making that weird feeling of my very insides rotating, like unsettled bad lunch. There was this float. Bobbing. With time the circles of waves it was making started slowly spiraling inwards. No, the whole water surface around it started bending in those shapes without a proper form, shifting, breathing. Same is for my fishing rod.
Well, the rod in my hands stood unchanged, maybe a bit sharper and pointy than it's supposed to, but it was still normal. It's the fishing line, it's spun on itself and then in the next moment there was two. Three, four, six, ten, all different, with the same float, but they bounced on those weird waves that made no sense in their own manner. A few of them were pulled down as if the were getting the fish.
I tried to pull, but to no avail, the fish, or whatever was biting the bait was far stronger than me, but I could pull the other ones with no problem. It is then I looked into the sky, I don't remember why, maybe because I needed to stop my eyes from hurting, or maybe it was my growing headache, but there was no relief for either of them up there. Because all of the sky was in those fractal impossible shapes. Even the sun, it looked cartoon almost, bright, but not blinding. Headache inducing.
I got up from my fishing spot and immediately regretted it, the wildest vertigo I ever felt made me dizzy, I closed my eyes, trying to find a balance, but when I opened them again, I felt even more sick. I was standing in the sky, fishing. One of the rods caught on the sky's fractal and I tugged. I wish I didn't.
When I pulled, the whole damn sky was swept away under my feet and swirled, becoming this mess of blue, orange, yellow, green and white, trying to mix with water and surroundings of the park. The colours were bright, the edges of this swirl were sharp and it cut me and my clothes in multiple places, I think it even broke one of my nails. But it called me. It hurt to look, to touch, to even hear, because the noise was nothing I ever thought was possible, but I stepped into it. And another step, going further and further.
Just like that it was over.
Another visitor of the park was shaking me violentely, as we stood in the lake, knee deep. There was no rod in my hands. Actually there was nothing on my hands or arms or anywhere on me for that matters those deep painful cuts that I thought was there a moment ago. I looked back at where my fishing spot was, where also supposed to be the fish I caught. There was no fish there.
After that with half wet pants I drove off, back home. Far from this weird place. I remember the look of something I can only interpret as hungry disappointment in the face of the woman at the front desk.
I had a several nightmares after that, all far too bright and confusing. I remember standing in the fishing store, looking at equipment, but I have no recollection of going in. I found a rod by my door in one of the mornings. Sold it immediately. I found myself even driving the road to this park at multiple times, but turned around as soon as I understood where I was going.
Today was a first day when I took a shower without feeling like the drain collected a swirling light with the water.

My DC Cinematic Universe: Superman (Part V)
Tumblr media
Chapter Five: A Support System
This section's gonna be a little different. Might seem kinda like filler at first glance, but it sort of is, in a way. After all, we'll need to fill out the normal everyday world of Clark Kent, and what better way to do that than with his supporting cast. Because Clark has quite a bit of supporting cast, and because we've got other things to focus on in this theoretical film, I'm not gonna go too in-depth this time. Buuuuuut, while this'll be light on character analysis, we'll still need to ask why these characters exist, and how they'll be seen in the film itself.
One more thing: we'll divide this section down by location, and I'll go into those locations just a little bit. After all, a city is its own character, so it makes sense to talk about the environments in which Clark normally finds himself. And so, without further ado...
Tumblr media
Smallville: Hometown Drama
OK, sing it with me now, SOMEBODY SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Smallville, Kansas is the town that made Clark Kent. It is and should be the most normal town in the United States of America. What I mean by this is that, unlike the TV series, Smallville, and even unlike the original Superboy comics, literally nothing should happen here. This should be an extremely average and boring place to live. I realize that that's probably a little boring, but...yeah. Fuggin' exactly. Smallville's biggest crisis should be that time the Johnson's cows got loose and interrupted the Smallville High homecoming game. And yeah, the official report was that the fence gate was left open, but everybody knows that Carl Draper snuck over and let them out on purpose just to mess with quarterback Kenny Braverman and the team. 'Cause, y'know, Carl blames Kenny for stealing Whitney Fordman from him, even though Whitney isn't even dating Kenny ever more since he started flirting with Lana Lang during-you get it, you get the idea, you get the point.
But, that said, there are a few people in Smallville who are a part of Clark's adolescent and adult life, so let's talk about them, as well as throwing them into this Cinematic Universe I'm making.
Tumblr media
Gotta start with Lana Lang, the girl next door. And I'd like to preface this by saying that the most famous version of this character, from Smallville, is the WORST FUCKING THING ABOUT THAT SHOW. Period. Nothing against Kristin Kreuk, she did well with what she was given. To bad what she was given was just a box of new Cap'n Crunch cereal variety called "Oops, All Cringe!" I fucking hate Smallville Lana Lang. Mostly because her overly dramatic life and persona are completely against who Lana Lang is. And who is Lana Lang?
Like I said, Lana is the girl next door. She and Clark are good friends, as well as unrequited love interests. And that's almost entirely on Clark, because Lana's not as timid or shy. And yes, Clark is extremely reserved in high school, mostly because he's nervous about exposing himself and being a freak. He was NOT the popular kid, and Lana absolutely was. But because Lana is genuinely a nice person with good morals, she really likes Clark. Like, she REALLY likes Clark. And yes, she was ABSOLUTELY his first kiss, and she absolutely initiated it. The Clark-Lana relationship should be sweet and cute, and the most stereotypical teenager love story you've ever seen. But, in the end, Clark went to Metropolis and she went else, and they parted ways. Oh, and for the record, Lana knows that Clark is Superman. Didn't figure it out until a bit after Smallville, but she absolutely knows, and she texted him IMMEDIATELY when she figured it out.
OK, who's next? In Smallville, the show creators gave Clark two best friends, so I think that makes sense here as well. In that case...
Tumblr media
Pete Ross, the childhood best friend! Ah, Pete, why do people remember and forget you simultaneously? You were a major supporting character in Smallville, but only for 3 seasons, then didn't appear again until season 7, and never after that. Which is super weird, considering the major role Pete had in the comics. The best friend of a young Clark, Pete Ross is also one of the first people to figure out Clark's secret, independently. In the comics, he figures it out and doesn't tell Clark until way later, but nah. Let's just make it a secret that the two of them share as kids; change things up a little.
My version of Pete is still best friends with Clark to this day. I realize that Jimmy Olsen often takes that role, but he'll be a little different in this universe. No, Pete is Clark's best friend, and I'm tired of people forgetting about him! Yeah, he made a small appearance in Man of Steel, but his role as support was shafted, in my opinion. Pete should be Clark's confidant, then and now.
In high school, Pete, Clark, and Lana are a trio of friends. They each roll in slightly different circles, though. Clark is the quiet loner who reads a lot (he's a library kid); Lana is definitely a theatre kid and a cheerleader; and Pete is the socially aware activist kid who always volunteers for various charity and conservation groups. He's one of the town darlings/annoyances. On a side note, why are the socially conscious activist characters in media always women? I dunno, it's a weird trend in media for some reason. Anyway, Pete will one day become a progressive senator for Kansas, with a lot of hard work and dedication. But for now, he's still Clark's best friend.
Tumblr media
Now, these two are the major support, but we can throw in some other main ones. How about Kenny Braverman, school bully? In the comics, he actually becomes a Kryptonite-wielding villain named Conduit, but this version of the character is a bully. Don't need much more than that; after all, this is a movie universe, not a TV series. How about Carl Draper? Draper is a weird one in the comics; he's basically a stalker who always hated Superboy/Superman, and made a giant death prison to kill Superman and impress Lana Lang, his high school crush. Yeah. Um...I'm just gonna make him another bully alongside Kenny, and a former friend of Clark's at the same time. 'Nuff said, I think.
And then, other than people like the Kents' neighbor Ben Hubbard...there isn't really anybody else to talk about. The name drop of Whitney Fordman up there was meant to be a reference to Smallville, but nothing more than...oh...oh, shit, Smallville. Right.
Tumblr media
Hoo boy, Chloe Sullivan. Again, given the fact that this is a movie and not a TV series, Chloe as a character really doesn't matter. a character created for Smallville, she was the journalism kid, as well as a cousin to Lois Lane, and meant to be the other girl next door love interest character for Clark. And she was played by...Allison Mack. Cult leader Allison Mack. Yeah. Yikes. So, I'll just say this: I like Chloe as a character and character concept, but she carries a LOT of baggage. So instead, we'll bring in character Billie Cramer, who is the same in concept, but named after a male character in the comics who later goes to Metropolis University with Clark. Sorry, Chloe. Allison Mack kinda fucked over your character for me.
From there, Smallville is basically covered. Small town, small stories, and not much happening. But still, the people there molded Clark. And so, by the time he heads out of Smallville, he'll be going into a much bigger world. And with that...
Tumblr media
Metropolis: City of Tomorrow
Where in the fuck is Metropolis? DC, you really need to make a decision here. Because the most common location for Metropolis is New York. Which, frankly, is dumb. New York has both New York City AND Metropolis? That's a lot of city for a small area, just saying. Plus, would Clark have wanted to go very far from home? So, where is my Metropolis? Easy: Illinois. "But what about Chicago," you say? Well, one, it's closer to Kansas, and Clark wouldn't want to be too far from home, for his parents' sake. Two, we can place the city along the Mississippi River, which forms the western coast of Illinois and gives us the water that we need for Metropolis. Three, this'll be at the very tip of southern Illinois, far away from Chicago, and in a place where no major city exists. And five, and most importantly for me, that's where the REAL Metropolis actually is. It is, in fact, maybe the real-world place that loves Superman the most. Let's give 'em some love back.
But OK, with that said and done, why Metropolis? Well, Clark wants to go to school for journalism, because he believes in uncovering the truth, and he wants to be in touch with all sides of humanity, both the good and the bad. Basically, journalism allows Clark to stay down-to-Earth in some very literal ways. And Metropolis University in this universe is a pretty big deal, especially considering that the city is the home to major newspaper The Daily Planet. After graduating from Metropolis U, Clark settles in the city and gets a job at the Daily Planet, his dream job. One of his colleagues is, of course, Lois Lane, but the people of the Daily Planet are an extremely important supporting cast. Considering Clark rarely goes anywhere else, we should talk about them a bit. So, we'll start with the most obvious.
Tumblr media
Jimmy Olsen, the new best friend! I was SO tempted to give Jimmy his own post, but this series is gonna be long enough; I dunno if I can talk that much about Jimmy. That's a lie, actually, because I can talk a LOT about him. Now, some of you may be wondering why I used this GIF of Olsen from Superman: The Movie, instead of Mehcad Brooks from Supergirl, or Aaron Ashmore from Smallville. And the reason is that NEITHER OF THEM WERE JIMMY. The latter was his older brother named Henry James "Jimmy" Olsen, which YES, is stupid. And the former? That is Jimmy Olsen in name only. And why? Because...ah, shit, I'm getting into Jimmy in detail. OK, then, let's do this.
Jimmy Olsen is a kid. He's a dweeb, he's kinda naive, and he matches Clark for sheer optimism. He's either the most likeable person in the room, or the most annoying, or somehow both simultaneously. He's not suave, like Mehcad Brooks' version of the character. Honestly, that's the least Jimmy Olsen-like character I've ever goddamn seen. You know who actually was a lot more like Jimmy? Winn. Winn was Supergirl's Jimmy Olsen, and I DEFY YOU TO TELL ME OTHERWISE.
Ahem. Anyway, back to Jimmy.
Tumblr media
Jimmy is the unpaid intern who gets hired, and is then surprised that there's a paid option for this job, despite that being his career. He's the kid in high school who took pictures of EVERYTHING, and then just never stopped. He's not entirely sure who the mayor of the city is, but knows in excruciating detail through experience and an overly detailed annotated map where the best goddamn hot dog in the city is, and every hot dog vendor in a ten-block radius knows him and his order by heart. Jimmy is a city kid who somehow seems like he came from the country. Jimmy should be a massive nerd, kind of a ditz, and definitely a clutz, but not only is he the best photographer the Planet has to offer, he's also somebody who you want to hang out with. Jimmy Olsen is maybe, maybe about to turn 21, but has not and will not drink. He is the most vanilla human being possible, and I goddamn love him for it. He's also gone through a TON OF INSANE SHIT in the comics, from being turned into a giant turtle Godzilla, to getting becoming a superhero in his own right MULTIPLE TIMES, to becoming the love-interest to a fledgling God for a hot second...a lot, is what I'm saying. Jimmy Olsen is my favorite Superman supporting character, and that is a hill I am glad to die on.
...Jesus. That was a lot of overly specific headcanon to vomit out, even for me. But really, all of that? That's my Jimmy Olsen. Clark's best friend in the city, even if he is a few years younger, as well as a damned good photographer and...well, a pal. There's a reason he's called Superman's Pal, after all.
Tumblr media
Perry White, the stern-but-caring boss! Editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, Perry's a strict traditionalist when it comes to this whole newspaper thing. Perry's actually had quite a lot of history in the comics, and while it is all genuinely interesting, I'm not gonna go into it here. Just know that Perry is a caring boss, but extremely strict when it comes to his job and those who write for him. One of the last great reporters and writers, as well as a genuinely good man with his own problems and troubles, Perry White is an understatedly important character in the Superman mythos. In truth, there doesn't need to be too much to Perry.
In terms of his relationship with Clark, he shouldn't be too involved with his personal life, but should be willing to offer advice if Clark looks like he needs it. He should choose his employees based upon their talent and their moral fiber, as he wants his reporters to find the truth, and nothing but the truth. If you lie, alter facts, or otherwise obscure the truth in your reporting, you're OUT, pal! And honestly, that's my Perry White: a classic reporter who expects only the truth from his employees and from himself.
Tumblr media
Speaking of the reporters of the Daily Planet, let's get into Clark's co-workers! Cat Grant is one of the best known, thanks to Power Girl, and as the gossip and fashion columnist, she makes her presence known basically immediately when she enters the office. While she's definitely a bit blunt, in person and in her writing, people actually do enjoy her blogs and writing, and she has a pretty good on-screen presence as well. She's a bit of an acquired taste, but Perry values her honesty. Also, she's a little bit of a rival to Lois in multiple ways, including initially for Clark's affection, but mostly in terms of her reporting and popularity. Cat Grant is considered by many to be the public face of the Daily Planet, and she doesn't shy away from that title, either.
Tumblr media
Steve Lombard made a VERY random appearance in Man of Steel, as was a very different version of the character than what we see in the comics. My version of Lombard is a massive blowhard, as well as the Planet's sports reporter, which aligns with the comic-book version of the character. He's hired by Perry because of his absurdly accurate sports reporting, and his sheer knowledge of the sport, as well as for his incredibly accurate predictions. The one downside about the dude is that he's the epitome of a meathead. His intelligence in in sports, and that's basically it. Still, he's VERY good at his job. Also, he THINKS that he's a rival to Clark for Lois' affections, but literally nobody else thinks that.
OK, last major person here is Ron Troupe, whom I can't find a GIF for. Makes sense; he's relatively obscure, and hasn't been in enough media for a lot of exposure. My version of Troupe is the politics and editorials writer for the Planet, as well as being one of the more serious and uptight members of the Planet bullpen staff. He tends not to go out into the field too much, but is well-known on paper. Perry hired him because of his objectivity and practicality, as well as a feverish devotion to the truth. And of everybody, Ron is the reporter most likely to succeed Perry White as editor-in-chief one day in this universe. YES! Not Lois, not Clark, RON. Somebody give Ron his day in court, please, he's way too neglected in comics and media nowadays.
Tumblr media
Let's get out of the bullpen, and into the city! Now, some people won't be featured in this first film, since it's a big city with a lot of parts to it. I actually do have some ideas for other films, but let's get through this first one before anything else. No cart before the horse, and all that. But since we're talking about the city, let's talk about Superman's predecessors: the cops.
The Metropolis Police Department, unlike the Gotham cops, are not corrupt and actually do their jobs. After all, Metropolis is a pretty safe city before Superman comes around. Supes definitely shouldn't be the savior from street crime, for should he be trying to replace the cops. Superman is there to stop the accidents, disasters, and large-scale crimes that the police can't handle on their own. This means that while the police are efficient, the villains of this movie are going to be a bit too much for them to handle. But, because Superman isn't a detective or a cop, he'll need to talk to and work with the police to stop these villains. So, who are our cops?
Tumblr media
The main liaison for Clark is Maggie Sawyer, a no-nonsense captain and leader of the newly-established Special Crimes Unit. As such, she's got a pretty good relationship with Superman. She prefers police work over relying on a vigilante, but Superman is hard not to trust in a lot of ways. So, she willingly works with him. Oh, and obviously she's happily married to her wife, Toby, who works for the Daily Planet alongside Clark. Maggie's one of the first out-lesbians in comics, and that ain't gonna end with me!
Maggie's the main policeman featured in this universe, but her partner Dan "Terrible" Turpin will also appear alongside her. Another hard-nosed detective, he grew up in the worst parts of Metropolis, and grew up to defend the parts of the city that don't get a lot of attention. Won't get too much of Turpin in this film, but we will use him to get across the idea that not all cops think Superman is necessary. He's not Superman's biggest fan, but he doesn't turn him away, either. Sort of like Harvey Bullock to Batman, if you get my drift.
Finally, I'll just mention that the chief of police is William Henderson, who respects Superman fine enough, and is on his way out, ready for retirement. Not much to say about Henderson, and he could honestly just be a name-drop by Maggie at some point. But with that, we move on to our final citizen of Metropolis...and one of my favorites.
Tumblr media
Meet the one and only Bo "Bibbo" Bibbowski. You might wonder why I included an image here when I didn't for Ron Troupe. And frankly, it's because Bibbo is too important. Because Bibbo, to me, is a representative of the civilian public that Superman is trying to save. The reporters of the Daily Planet are often putting themselves in danger in order to get the story, and they're supposed to remain objective. The cops are...well, the cops; of course they're in danger. But Bibbo is just...a guy. He was a sailor and former military man, he's a small business owner, and he's a guy on the streets of Metropolis. And, of course, he's Superman's biggest fan.
Now, that's not to say Superman only fights for those people who like him, and I actually want to reflect that through my version of Bibbo. Bibbo'll actually be one of the ways we start the movie, and how we're initially introduced to Metropolis. And because Superman is a fairly new figure in the city, he's not a fan when the movie starts. He's not an active detractor, but he isn't exactly a fan of anybody with power who places themselves above the little guy. And Superman does that literally, so why would he like him? Just another person playing dress-up and pretending to be hero. He listens to local shock jock Leslie Willis, who regularly expresses the same sentiments, but he's not as harsh as she is to Superman. He just doesn't really care for the guy. Over the course of the movie, we'll check in with Bibbo, whose establishment, the Ace o' Clubs, is a regular haunt of Jimmy Olsen and his friend Clark Kent. And so, Clark will get an idea of how Bibbo feels pretty early on, and he'll have to reflect on that.
However, over the course of the movie, Superman will act in ways that begin to change Bibbo's mind. As we check in on him over the course of the movie, the change in his attitude will be noticeable, if somewhat subtle throughout most of the movie. But then, the last time we see Bibbo, he'll be wearing his signature Superman shirt. Because by the end of the movie, Superman will have saved the "little guys" of the city, possibly even saving Bibbo directly. And that makes him considerably different than the other person in Metropolis with power who puts themselves above the city. That person, the real focus of Bibbo's ire...is the topic of the next entry in this series.

Frank, what — in your highly accredited professional opinion — is the most fucked up Pokémon?
I can think of a few that don't involve real people (but are also pretty fucked up), so let's go with that instead:
Steelix. I don't really understand steelix. It's not particularly scary, it has no attacks of its own but it's slow, and it doesn't really do anything that other pokemon don't already do better. It's also much slower than everyone else, which is kind of interesting (why does the pokemon company put slow pokemon in the anime, instead of faster pokemon? Why does they make them slow enough for an anime battle to matter?). I don't think it's more fucked up or creepy than other slow steel types (lilligant and zorua).
Miltank. Miltank are very slow and cute and seem nice but they are definitely one of the pokemon that makes you go "man, it's kinda fucked up how fast those things are". If you want to have a fun, friendly battle with a normal type pokemon, then sure, but it's not worth getting attached to.
Koraidon. I feel like everyone thinks of koraidon as some kind of evil mon, right? It's not evil exactly — it just looks like the world's least appealing horse. Still, though, when you first see it in the anime it seems pretty scary. And then the anime just never shows it doing anything except standing there. It never even seems to eat or breath, it just stands there and does nothing.
Klefki. If I'm honest I can't remember much about klefki except that I remember seeing some fanart that made it look like it had an eye made out of some kind of gemstone and I remember going "oh man, that's way creepier than I'd thought" before remembering I was watching a kids' cartoon, and I didn't actually understand why I found that more creepily disturbing than like, almost anything else in the series.

This is a post about the current blog poll regarding ask games on this blog. You can find the original post and poll to vote on via this link below. Please do not send votes via ask messages.
Posts about this topic have the tag 'blog poll'.
https://www.tumblr.com/fictionkinfessions/724128639169544192/
This is long. Here is a read more.
Anonymous asked: sorry im not home and mobile search sucks or else id look myself, but is there a catchall tag for ask games? i think there is but bad memory lol. if not maybe there should be so people can block all games instead of each new one !
Anonymous asked: Suggestion for the ask game debacle: why not tag all those posts with one consistent tag like "kinfessions ask game" or something? Either in addition to or in place of the custom tags. That gives everybody's blacklist something to pick up without requiring someone to add a tag for every single ask game.
Anonymous asked: voted to keep ask games but consider just adding a catch-all tag alongside the specific game for blacklisting purposes maybe? the anon has a fair point with how many there have been lately that it can kind of drown out regular confessions but ask games are fun and it wouldn't exactly be fair to completely get rid of them. wouldn't mind a sister blog for them either though
There isn't a catch all tag, and that's a extremely good idea. I'm kinda kicking myself for not asking for feedback before making a whole poll about it. We'd still have the poll, but there would've been better options about what to do. Also for not doing that to start with.
Anonymous asked: i'm all for continuing the ask games, but can we at least LIMIT them? sometimes it feels like there's a new one every day, or like everything posted is a response to an ask game. it's obviously not stopping anybody from kinfessing normally, but it feels weird to only see ask game responses when the blog was originally intended for kinfessions
Anonymous asked: a suggestion about ask games: host one or two as events with loose but present time limits. kinda like this blog had for june, with mostly pride-themed prompts? it would probably require more moderation, so no pressure if you don't feel up to it mpc. we could even vote for favorite games but i can see it may leave someone upset bc their idea lost. right now it seems (to me. just a personal opinion) like this sudden overflow of different yet very specific prompts is a bit directionless. it's not necessarily bad for a community blog but could discourage a full "conversation"? of linked confessions, which i see as the point of ask games. this isn't to say there are no responses to posted answers - quite the opposite, actually! i just think having fewer themes would allow more unique experiences to be included, instead of splitting more subtopics.
True, there have been a fair amount, and it's been ramping up. Not a bad thing, it's nice that people have curiosity about other's canons and sources.
Seems like a lot of work, but doable imo. My concern would be actually getting people to vote for the ask games. Also if an ask game wins, but nobody plays it, then what? Do we just go onto the next one? Would there be a time limit? What if people send things after the time limit? I'd feel like such a dick for not posting it because they didn't send it in on time. This isn't really a final exam at school or your office job with time limits. Literally how do I explain it without sounding like a Super Serious Tool?
People do that for holiday things, you can't stop that from happening. The only reason I put a time limit for holidays is so nobody gets triggered after they remove a tag from their blacklist, assuming nobody celebrates Fathers Day 2 weeks afterwards. You know what I mean? Not to mention this blog is very active. People may not see prompts until long after the time limit, and they may still want to participate. Also who thinks up themes, if there will be any?
Though maybe we don't vote on them. Like you mentioned, people might get upset if theirs isn't picked. I suppose we could just do it chronologically, as they're sent in. I'm not sure how to manage this. Save the future ask games to drafts and hope I don't lose them? Probably.
Anonymous asked: Going to agree with the anon, there is a bit too many ask games ngl, like I like them but there is so many of them at this point and like I even blacklist the tags but they still get through. I just wish that there was a bit less of them or that there was a seperate blog :(
The thing about the auxiliary blog is that it won't have the same amount of traffic and might go dead. Not a bad thing, such is life. But I think part of the appeal of ask games replies and confessions is that this is a fairly high traffic blog. People want to be seen, even if it's anonymous. I wouldn't mind running a side blog, or at least getting it active enough to let someone else handle it.
Anonymous asked: Hello MPC! You don’t have to post this, but I saw that you were asking for opinions and I can’t actually find somewhere to vote on a poll (unless it was metaphorical? I can’t tell honestly), so feel free to delete this if it’s just taking up space- but I kind of agree with the anon who spoke up about the ask games. It’s not really a bad thing they exist, but when you have so many going at one time, it’s hard to keep track of and sometimes the pinned post/asks become incredibly long. It also feels like it goes against the whole ‘this is not a canon call’ mindset of the blog because it can and does spark up conversations between people, if that makes sense? It’s not a bad thing people are involved, but I feel like it takes away from the point of the blog a little. I think having the ask games be cleaned up and a new system put into place to make it easier to block the tag/find them would be super helpful, but I know that can be stressful. All in all, I’m sure everyone will support your decision!! Thank you for everything you put into this blog MPC 🖤
The voting poll post is here if you haven't found it already. Thank you for your input, you have some good points. https://www.tumblr.com/fictionkinfessions/724128639169544192 It's true that the ask game post is incredibly, tediously long. Even with tags, it's hard to ignore.
I don't know about the canon call thing, I haven't really seen people implying they should be contacted over x y z happening in their canon due to an ask game reply. Honestly I'm not fighting that battle very hard anyways.
I get the feeling that ask games are going to stay. But we did get some ideas on how to manage them better than their current form.
Summary of suggestions
Limit amount of active ask games per week or per month. Maybe 3 per week?
Create a catch all tag for ask game responses
Ask game topics per week or month. Maybe can be voteable as well?
Create side blog solely for ask games regardless??

You mentioned an idea for the horse ranch AU where Ink gets really bad anxiety and thinks everyone hates him/is mad at him… Do you have any other thoughts about that 👀 Because I’ve been constructing idea after idea in my head about when and where and why that would happen (yes I’m projecting, shush), and I need more information on such a scenario.
Does it cumulate in him trying to run away because he’s been convinced he makes things worse, potentially due to misunderstandings or bad luck?
Does he start shutting people out to keep from getting hurt by their rejection or disapproval?
Does he try and hide how much it’s affecting him to keep from worrying people while he’s internally having a mental breakdown?
I need to know the specifics of this hurt/comfort scenario, damnit. Please tell me he gets buried in a pile of dogs and cuddled by horses.
Oh sweetheart, we all project onto characters sometimes. I'm projecting too. Regardless of what I say, though, I'd love to know your thoughts about why Ink's like this and what happens. Tell me everything you've got hidden in that brain of yours.
I imagine Ink's always struggled with some anxiety in this AU, not just after the others arrived for their program (or whatever brought them here). That's just when it started becoming more active and detrimental. He's pretty okay when interacting with his family members and the animals, it's just... socializing with new people is hard. And Ink isn't exactly what you might consider "normal"... especially considering he's an animal whisperer in this AU, so he talks to the animals. A lot. As for when and why it started, that's a bit trickier to figure out, but I do think it had to do with some bullying growing up. Even without bullying, he was often isolated by his peers because he was perceived as "weird"... 'tis the unfortunate canon event of us autistics. Maybe it got so bad that at one point, they had to pull him out of public school and start homeschooling him. His family might not even know that he's an animal whisperer and might think he's weird for having "one-sided" conversations with the animals, but there's no harm in it. Unfortunately, the potential dismissal of Ink's closeness with the animals as nothing more than a coping mechanism (which it does help him cope with loneliness, but it's more than that) doesn't do very much for his confidence.
I think the only attendee that Ink wouldn't be so jumpy around is Epic, because he's Cross's best friend and has been to the ranch several times before. I think it'd be nice if Dream and Ink are online friends meeting for the first time, and while Dream's bursting with happiness, Ink's having all these suffocating thoughts about how Dream's surely judging him and how different he must be from what Dream imagined. It definitely doesn't help that Stretch and Red are kinda like the "bullies" of the bunch and are natural assholes, that Nightmare has a resting bitch face 24/7, or that Error's very quick to judge and very easy to irritate. Can you imagine how much worse it'd be if the Murder Trio was here? Especially Killer. I'm doing Ink a service by keeping them away from the main group.
I wasn't entirely joking when I said that the dogs at the ranch are Ink's emotional support dogs. At least one of them, maybe Glaze (golden retriever) or Canvas (corgi), was professionally trained to be his emotional support animal. All of the dogs are very protective of Ink and have imprinted on him, especially Paperjam. PJ is so territorial, they're definitely growling and just barely holding back when Error starts getting closer to Ink. Especially if Error and Ink have some not-so-pleasant first interactions.
I don't think Ink would be convinced that running away is the only solution, but maybe he does leave without saying anything and it causes a panic. Especially if he doesn't take Broomie or any of the dogs with him. As for what might lead to that situation, maybe he overhears some of the things the others say and misinterprets them as being about him? This could be helped by awkward interactions or miscommunications.
Even if he doesn't leave or anything, I do think it would gradually lead to him shutting down and just... changing. Even if he's awkward and anxious, he still wants to be around the others and be friends with them, with some support from his family to start making friends again. But everything else is just so discouraging... he's not very good at teamwork or anything that can actually help them, and some of them don't seem very interested in anything he has to say, so... maybe he should just stop trying. It's fine, he's used to not being wanted around anyway. He still has the dogs and the horses, he'll be fine. The others deserve to get the full experience, without someone as clumsy and awkward as him around to ruin it. It's slow, but he stops trying to strike up conversations and eventually stops showing up at all, just doing what he has to and then going back into hiding. Cross notices, of course, but he doesn't want to be insensitive to Ink's struggles and pushy, and he doesn't know what to do.
I know I probably have a reputation as an angst addict who spews tragedy and worst-case-scenarios, but I'm gonna say there are some limits to what angst I'll do for this AU. Or at least for what's canon to the AU. For example, Ink may very well have depression (ayyy depressed gang rise up), but I won't say he's suicidal or does self-harm. Or, like, deliberate self-harm. Did you know you can burn yourself in the shower? I didn't know that until my mom told me I was, I just thought the hot water was nice.
Matter of fact, the eating disorder episode is probably about Ink. Our angst baby. Angst punching bag. Because everyone was pointing out how it wouldn't even work with the horses, as stablehands would've found the food in Pepper's stall immediately. Cross and Ink are very proactive with keeping the stables clean and proper for the animals. But Ink... who would notice with him? The animals would probably notice first, especially the dogs that are practically up his ass lol. My dogs do it too, it's a sign of love. But this could actually work with him disappearing in the woods, maybe he ends up passing out from not eating while still doing the physical labor. Only, in this one, I'd say he takes at least one or two dogs with him... and one comes back to the ranch, barking and whining up a storm, trying to lead the others (namely Cross) to Ink's location.
Getting into the specifics is difficult because there's so much you can do. Stretch and Red can make jokes that are common for them, but end up hurting Ink a lot. One thing I do want to mention, though, is that the horses are aware of the divide and largely one-sided tension between Ink and the others, so they're gonna react to things their owners say and do. One of them can say something about Ink being too jumpy and a horse might nay or something, and so they joke about Ink "talking to their horses behind their backs" or "turning their horses against them", and if Ink overhears this... yikes.

HELLO i noticed you are a spamblue shipper mm yes this the GOOD shit ok so. i mentioned in a reply that i used to ship this hardcore and i have a ton of old dusty headcanons for their relationship and history together and i wanna hear yours
Oh I'd love to share, thanks for asking!
This is gonna be an incomprehensive unorganized list so. I'm gonna put it under a read more
Also a lot of this stuff I'm kinda just pulling from a fic I'm still trucking through, so go check that out if you'd like, it's long though
anyways
(btw im using he/it for spamton and they/them for blue. another name for blue is cerulean but im just gonna use blue here)
Spamton and blue always Kinda Liked each other, but they'd always been pretty good friends ever since they met
Blue was always nicer to Spamton than the other Addisons; that's what made Spamton like them so much in the first place
The others always just sorta let him entertain them as some funny little inconsequential guy that they let hang around with them, but Blue really did genuinely enjoy Spamton's company
Blue wasn't exactly too much better than the others, though. They prided themselves on being the nice one when being nice isn't exactly the same as being kind. They do grow to be kinder throughout their relationship with Spamton, though
When Spamton does finally fall for them, he completely disregards any faults Blue has and focuses only on the fact that they're nicer to him than they have to be. It's the type that when anything positive happens in its life, even the slightest thing that makes its life feel less awful, it clings to that
After getting feelings for them though Spamton is just absolutely zonked. Like it's gone. The guy is an absolute pathetic loser girlfailure who follows Blue around like a lost puppy
It like. Wants to do something meaningful for them but 1: it absolutely doesn't have the courage to and 2: it doesn't even have the money to try
And Blue is SO generous to him even though he doesn't quite understand why. He wants to swallow his pride and let them spend all their money on him but he ALSO doesn't want to feel like he's taking advantage of their kindness which. he also really wants to do
One of the things Blue does for it is make cookies! Like website cookies. They're an amazing cook too and cookies bring a lot of Addison-specific nutrition so Spamton really can't say no
Blue doesn't even know exactly why they feel like improving their demeanor towards Spamton and they aren't quite exactly the person to look inwards but they do it anyway because that's waht they feel like doing!
Blue realizes their feelings much later on and while they can tell that Spamton isn't Normal about them either they just. Feel so nervous about making a move
When they do Finally date Blue makes every excuse to spoil Spamton with as much love and affection as they can. They feel bad about having gone along with all the teasing and mocking that the other Addisons did, even though they didn't actively participate in it. And Spamton is just happy it got this far
Spamton likes taking Blue out on fun little novelty dates, like bowling or vintage shopping! Blue likes more sophisticated dates, like museums or concerts
And of course. Once Spamton starts getting money he turns the tables on Blue and buys them everything they could possibly want or need and more
Once he's on his way to big shot status, Spamton feels like he has to really prove he loves Blue, not just to Blue, but to himself, so he makes sure to flaunt his accomplishments in front of them. Isn't that what a proper Addison does?
Blue of course is so, so proud of it. They were with Spamton every step of the way and they're glad to see all of its hard work finally pay off
So like they're both in a generally content place at this point. For now
Aaaanyway thanks for liking my stuff! As you can see I am still amidst the vicious throes of this ship so it's nice to find somebody that Understands

Into The Night (SFW, Angst) Leon x Reader
Notes: This isn't exactly a song fic but it is based on 'Into The Night' by NERO I feel like the vibe fits him so well, someone please give this man a motorcycle. And again, probably completely OOC. This probably sucks at the moment, I might go back and either rewrite it or just spell check and make a few edits here and there. We'll see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was late and the rain had been steady. I sat, curled up in the corner of the couch with a blanket, a book and a nice hot drink sitting on the stand next to me. The phone rang, I contemplated answering it. I didn't want to get up, but what if I was him. We hadn't exactly parted on good terms last time I saw him.
Why would he call me anyway? I'm the one who caused the fight. I'm the one who should be calling him. Why am I treating this like a breakup? We were just friends. Drinking buddies, even though nether of us actually drank.
I let it go to voice mail, if it was important they'd leave a message. A minute later It went off again, this time indicating that there was a voice mail. I looked at the message for a moment before hitting play.
"Y/N? It's Leon. Look, I know you probably don't want to hear from me right now. After all, I lied to you. I lied about something as important and dangerous as being a Shadow Guard. You have a right to be mad. But, I just wanted to tell you... a mission went awry and I'm going to have to skip town and lay low for a while. And that..." He took a deep breath. "Being put in this situation has made me realize something. I've tried so hard to lock away my emotions and keep people out, but with you. I didn't feel the need for that. I felt that a weight had been lifted from me and I could be more... myself. I... I really enjoyed hanging out with you, getting to know you, being near you. I hope that you can forgive me for lying and that, maybe, sometime in the future, we can try again. Maybe... as... something more than... friends. . . . I love you. Good bye."
Tears streamed down my face as I listened to the recording. I messed up. I messed up big time. I shouldn't have gotten so mad at him. I was just scared. I love him.
I grabbed my keys and jacket and ran out the door. I knew most of the places he would normally be. I also knew which ones had pay phones at or near them. It was an unlisted number, he didn't want me knowing it was him when he called.
I ran through the streets in the rain. Going from place to place asking if any one had seen him. Turning up empty handed each time. I needed to find him. I needed to tell him.
I looked for almost an hour. Pointlessly. He had to have been long gone by now.
I curled up against a wall and cried. I didn't know when I'd see him again or if I ever would or if he would even still feel the same by the time he did. Maybe he would rebuild the walls I somehow broke down and shut me out. I didn't want that.
I heard foot steps approaching quickly as someone was running by, but I didn't look up. I knew my face would be red and puffy from crying and the person sounded to much in a hurry anyways. I only stood when their steps faded, not realizing that a group of people were just about to turn the corner.
One of them ran strait into me causing both of us to stumble. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" "I'm sorry. I'll get out of your way." I kept my head low and hood pulled up, hoping that they wouldn't want to cause any problems. That ended up not working as well as I had hoped.
"Hey, wait a minute." A hand reached out and grabbed my arm, spinning me around and removing my hood. "Hey boss, check it. It's that girl we've been seeing Leon with." Damn it. Of coarse he had enemies, he's a hitman associated with the Shadow Decree.
"Hey, you know, she's kinda cute. What was he doing with a pretty little thing like you? Certainly you two weren't an item, were you?" One of the other men tilted my head up and side to side, looking me over. "No. We weren't. We were hardly even associated with each other."
Their boss hummed in thought. "Darn what a shame. Well we can at least still have our fun with you. What do you boys think.? He began to turn towards the rest of the group, but stopped short as the sound of a gun clicking sounded behind him "You'll do no such thing to her. Let her go or you'll be joining the rest of them."
The sound of his voice had me in tears. It was Leon, he was here. He was saving me. Thank the gods.
The one man dropped his grip from my face and the other let go of my arms. "Good, now back away from her."
As they moved backwards, Leon stalked around them, coming to a stop at my side. He slipped his hand around my waist and pulled me flush to his side. "Y/N. Close your eyes and look away." I did as he asked with no question and nuzzled my face into his side.
Two gun shots sounded, scaring me into pressing deeper into his side, not wanting to look and he didn't seem to want me to either, holding me close to himself and guiding me away.
He led me for a while before gently pushing me away by my shoulders. My back hit a wall and he trailed his hands down to grasp my waist, holding me there. He leaned over and pressed his forehead to my own, closing his eyes. I stood there and watched the worried look on his face with lidded eyes.
Before now we had hardly come into physical contact with each other, keeping a respectful distance as our odd friendship unknowingly developed into something stronger. At that time I think we both knew deep down what would happen if we had even just brushed hands, the unacknowledged tension would have snapped. But... we were both afraid for different reasons.
Now, that doesn't matter anymore.
He moved his face in closer and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and closed my eyes, returning it whole heartedly. We each held each other closely as it went on, eventually developing into a make out session.
Sadly we had to part for air, but we continued holding on to each other after parting, not yet ready to let go of the other. "I love you, Leon. I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier. I didn't mean any of it, I was just scared" He smiled warmly. "It's fine. I'm just glad your safe."
He released a defeated sigh and his expression dropped. "But that doesn't change the fact that I still need to leave town for awhile. There's more than just those guys." "Can I go with you?" He looked surprised a my question. "But-" "But what? I wanna be with you. After listening to your message I searched everywhere for you. I've never loved somebody like this before. I didn't realize 'til then what this emotion was. I love you, I truly do. Please, let me go with you."
His gaze softened. "Very well. You can come with me, but you must be careful. I couldn't stand seeing you get hurt." He kissed the crown of my head and pulled away. Gently taking my hand, he guided me away once more.
I didn't know where we were going and I didn't care, as long as I was with him, I was happy.
