Reactions to S/O with Abusive Family

Characters: Levi Ackerman, Erwin Smith, Hange Zoe

Author's Note: The third and last part. Honestly these headcanons were so fun so I might do more hurt/comfort in the future!

Levi Ackerman

Levi, like Mikasa, is also not terribly surprised. I don't think any of the veterans would be honestly

They all are too used to what the world is like and how cruel it can be even to those who don't deserve anything like that. Especially Levi

Now there are two different reactions Levi might have depending on which Levi 

If its Levi from the Underground, sorry but your family is dead

Thug Levi has killed for much much less. Hell, he killed a group of thugs just for getting in Isabel's way and upsetting her. So the chances of actual abusers surviving after you told him what they've done? Not bloody likely

Levi will, of course, hold you close and bury his face in the crook of your neck all to comfort you

He's very emotionally repressed so you shouldn't expect much else 

Now Captain Levi?

Much different story. For example, unless they were an active threat, particularly in s3, he wouldn't kill them. But oh boy 

Levi is someone who can easily, and will without hesitation, calmly rip into someone just for wasting his time. After all, Levi is one hell of a composed and stoic motherfucker

Now, the worst he might do for non-threatening is harsh words and maybe his own threat, albeit empty

But an active threat? Much different story. Levi learned from Kenny and the Underground that active threats must be taken out

Now regardless of him killing your family or just making them hate him, he is dragging you into his office. The one time he doesn't sweat the potential filth on your clothes, simply pulling you into bed with him and burying his face in your chest

"I wanted to kill them."

His statement is meant to be reassuring, that it would always be you and never them in his eyes

But also Levi is one very emotionally repressed bitch 

Erwin Smith 

Honestly Erwin probably already knew you had a rough home life, not many parents would just sit by and let their children become Scouts under Keith Shadis

The Scouting Legion is still viewed poorly when he takes over, don't get me wrong, but we're talking about a man who had a mental breakdown in the middle of the street and in front of not only all his men but the public too

Erwin would never

Now Erwin knowing and being told is two different things. Erwin could probably only think about his own childhood when you told him so he pulls you close, into his lap and starts playing with your hair and massaging your scalp. As he does, Erwin tells you about his dream and the will of his own father way back when

Erwin has accepted what happened by the time he's Commander Erwin but he still doesn't feel great about it, obviously, so its a moment of weakness for both of you

And thats exactly what Erwin wanted you to see. That you opening up and being vulnerable didn't have to be so one sided even if he was your commander

Now Erwin has a lot of power to throw around, especially if your family weren't anyone like the merchants or nobles or the Wall Church

So Erwin uses that power, lets you see how beneficial he can really be with that always so polite smile on his face even if he's currently ruining the lives of those who ruined your own life

"There are some that simply do not know how to behave, those should either keep quiet or have every dirty little secret spread among their peers."

Like I love Erwin but dude lowkey manipulates a lot of things into happening. Especially when it was concerning Levi in the No Regrets OVA

Hange Zoe

Hange is probably the only shocked veteran when you open up

They are appalled 

"But why!? Titans should be the concern, not each other!" 

And you even almost hear them swear but when you only shrug, they pull you close and sigh. They are well and truly refusing to let you go for even a minute. Hange is very clingy during the night you tell them and even the following day

Only Levi, Miche, or Erwin would be able to pry them away. Maybe Moblit 

They just want you to feel reassured and comforted by their presence

Hange probably takes you out to train with the ODM gear just to give you a proper outlet. They know they like training when upset

Dear god if they see your family? It is one of the very very few moments you see them angry. Even Levi seems nicer in comparison. Hange storms right up to your parent, decks them and stands over them 

"If you touch them again, I will personally make sure you don't have a hand to do that with again."

You probably have to pull Hange off your parent actually

And afterwards, Hange is clingy all over again. They're wrapping their arms around you, shoving their face into your back and sighing loudly 

Hange probably spends the next week making sure you know how much they love you and how much they would do just for you

Normally, you're an average soldier but Hange keeps dragging you away from your squad to their own squad, doing science stuff with them and Moblit

Some more vaults of memory and dream variety

Gotta appreciate Memory vaults design tbh, perfect creature design that fitting for an abstract realm. They feel like they behave like dogs while looking like a pig to me 

And oh man Dream Vaults thoughts:

While memory vaults stick to the ground and typically hide and flee from intruders, dream vaults typically floats lazily around the air like figments but in no specific pattern

Usually found when someone goes into someone’s mindscape as they are dreaming. Usually slightly transparent like a cotton ball, they are most solid in those instance of vivid dreaming. They stay solid if the person remembers the dream when they wake up (less opaque the more the dreamer forgets the details of the dream)

They can appear in someone’s mindscape even when they are awake, but only if they are intensely daydreaming

if the dreamer is currently dreaming then the images can be seen on the dream vaults ‘wool’

They eat stray thoughts/string of thoughts that are scattered around the mindscape

Floating Dream vaults only eat and will not open up. The thoughts will become part of their wool

Grounded Dream Vaults are the dreams the person remembers and would not forget the details of. Usually helped if they have a dream journal. They can open up and share the dreams of the person through their ‘tongue’

sometimes dreams cluster up together because unconsciously the dreamer integrates previous dreams in their current dream. I like to picture memory vaults running around them like sheepdog herding uh sheep

Some dreams larger ager than others.

Some stay in a herd for a long time while some eventually drift off again

OK UHHHH so I might've decided in a fever dream state that I wanted to draw (most) Gen 1 Ghouls in their signature outfits. I wrote down them all and there's. So many. This is TECHNICALLY part 3??? Since I drew Batsy for that one post, and then Nef, Luna, and Gooliope for a diff one. I've been picking them at random in batches of 3 so UH part 3 of drawing (almost) every Monster High Generation One Ghoulie!!

For this post, I've done Jane Boolittle, Catty Noir, and Scarah Screams!! (I sincerely apologize for inconsistent lighting my lamp is WACK)

saint bernard wilbur animatic is so good it always makes me long for a plot where wilbur and dream actually managed to join ranks post-prison break or post-revival like. genuinely it could’ve been so fucking good. i also think it would’ve made inconsolable differences better (which inconsolable differences one of my top streams of all time so that is saying a lot) like the reveal of the tower, of tommy’s admittance to what really happened in exile, of wilbur’s anger toward dream also being a betrayal of dream, i think it could’ve gone so fucking crazy.

Veteran Trio General Relationship Headcanons

Erwin Smith

- Erwin is a major workaholic. He is a struggle to get to take a break but if you ask, he might fold and take a break

- He's poetic honestly. Erwin chooses his words extremely carefully and will often take a few minutes just to make sure hes saying exactly what he wants to

- Erwin 100% refuses to put you just anywhere during expeditions. He wants you close to soldiers like Levi and Hange, probably put you in one of their squads actually

- While you, like pretty much everyone, doesn't really know what hes thinking unless he tells you, Erwin is likely to tell you. He wants you to know, actually

- Your dates with Erwin often take place in actual restaurants. He wants only the best for you and both of you know just how down bad this man is

- Erwin at first struggles with growing attached, knowing the death rate of scouts. Especially new scouts. He would probably initiate but only after the first expedition

- Erwin probably ended up comforting you, lending you his bed and just. Being there with you. For you, really. He probably wakes you whenever you have a nightmare and then consoling you via holding you, talking through it with you

- Once you and him get closer and start dating, he's not one to shy away from telling you that he loves you. Albeit he's definitely not big on PDA and the only ones who know are probably Miche, Hange, and Levi

Hange Zoe

- Hange, unlike Erwin and Levi, just looks for reasons to stop working. Unless its regarding titans, of course. Not even you can get them to stop any work involving titans

- They often say the first thing to pop up in their head, not caring how blunt or eloquent it is

- Again, unlike the other two, they will drag you into their work. Going on all kinds of tangents. If you show a vested interest, Hange will probably be shocked for a moment and then stare at you as if you're holding the answers to the world inside of you. Hange will then probably get incredibly affectionate, dragging you into a hug and exclaiming some compliment 

- Dates with Hange are typically spent over a table somewhere, them talking your ear off. Again, probably about titans. Its a subject they never tire on, honestly. During these dates, they are extremely perceptive as to your needs

- You are one of the few that has been able to help Hange through their anger

- After your first expedition, they held you and they spoke about their own expeditions in the past. Just rocking back and forth, tracing shapes on your skin with their fingers

- Unlike Levi and Erwin, they get attached quickly and surprisingly they never grew to fear getting attached

Levi Ackerman

- Levi is a workaholic but for different reasons to Erwin. Whereas Erwin is one because he has a goal or is planning something, Levi is hiding from himself via working. That and its his job. You can normally get him to take a break or two

- Levi is very blunt and crass, uncaring how "unprofessional" he is. With you, he gets even more blunt. Despite that same bluntless that increases around you, Levi almost never says he loves you

- His way of stating his affections is mostly by noticing the tiniest things about you. Levi will then take what he's seen and pour it into something. Often this means practical gifts or words of encouragement or praise. Albeit the latter is rarer than the former

- Levi takes you on dates, more often than not, in the forested area near the Scouts' base or even "dates" that seem more like ODM training. He loves nature and loves you so, for him, the answer was both easy and the only one there was: combine two things he loves

- You are one of the few that ever got any details about his life before the scouts. He grew attached to you, after all. Which wasn't easy

- Unlike Erwin, his fear of getting attached wasn't just due to the death rate but also due to another factor. The most important of which was that he doesn't exactly trust easy

- However, once he did trust you? It was unshakable. No matter what, his trust was yours to either nourish or ruin

- After your first expedition, he was by your side. He had offered his bath, his bed. Levi didn't really leave your side  not really speaking like Hange and Erwin but providing the comfort of not being alone

I feel like the October 1st is The Day for Nix. She's decorating the house, she's making soup, she's getting the incense out, the candles, the pinterest pumpkin pie recipes, the cookies shaped and coloured like fallen leaves are in the oven, the vivaria have little pumpkins and skulls in them, the garden lights have all been changed to halloween ones, she's bought arthur an autumn bouquet... it's a whole thing. The house smells amazing and she's projecting happiness and is scary-focused on the task at hand.
