One Piece x Introverted!Reader (pt. 1?)

Thank you anon for this request! This is my first time writing headcanons, so I hope you enjoy!

Summary: Headcanons and drabbles for Zoro, Sanji, and Robin with an introverted partner.

Word Count: 1327

Rating/Warnings: SFW, Just Fluff, maybe a smidgen of Angst, Alcohol

A/N: I've had to start splitting my posts from the ask, tumblr was flipping out every time I was editing. I hope you don't mind I've started linking them instead!

Zoro

Zoro enjoys this part of you, and you find an easy rhythm with each other.

You can spend hours near each other without speaking, and it feels comfy and safe. Reading a book, or working on your own tasks while he works out is an almost daily ritual (taking plenty of breaks to watch him, of course). 

During the many feasts and celebrations that seem to occur, Zoro tends to loosen up more with booze, and he’ll wrap his arm around you during conversations. He’s gotten to know your body language well, and even drunk, he’d notice if you were uncomfortable or worn out. He wouldn’t even make an excuse or say goodbye to the group, he’d just drag you (or pick you up) and find a quiet spot to relax together. Preferably with a bottle of sake.

If Zoro notices you having trouble speaking to people in public, he might try to find ways to help you feel stronger without bringing it up directly, like teaching you breathing exercises, or power stances, etc.

“Why are you teaching me this?” “So you can feel, uh… Well, you’re a pirate. Pirates need to breathe… good.”

Drabble

“You okay?”

You pulled your hands away from your temples, the dull headache still creeping on you. Zoro sat beside you, spreading his legs out on the dirt, his back against the large tree.

The rest of the crew was laughing around the fire, another triumph to celebrate with the locals. 

“It’s just been a long day. I’ll be good in a minute.”

He hummed, setting his hand out between you in case you wanted to hold it. You did. 

“You don’t have to. They’re too loud anyway.”

Your lips pulled into a small, but grateful smile as you leaned onto his warm shoulder. His fingers squeezed yours gently, before his other hand brought a bottle to his lips. 

He gestured it toward you, and you hummed your ‘no’ before letting your eyes close.

Zoro’s quiet warmth beside you filled you up. You never felt like a burden with him. He would just join you, as if it was normal. 

“Thank you.”

He huffed a laugh, voice low.

“Like I said, those idiots are too loud. I’d rather be here with you.”

Sanji

Sanji prides himself on meeting your every need, but it would take some practice for him to figure it out, unless you’re clear with him.

He wants to spoil you, to show you off, to bring you out on dates at every island.

If you’re not open with him about your needs to recharge, and he sees you getting drained with him, he might get worried. He'd wonder what he’s doing wrong, and would overcompensate.

Eventually he’d connect the dots, but if you just tell him then he’ll cater to you. He wants you to feel cherished, and he won’t mind making changes for you, as long as he knows what you need.

But he will have a hard time not showering you with compliments all day, often in front of strangers and even enemies. 

“My sunshine, my darling. You look so gorgeous under the stars like this. Don’t mind them, I’ll kick their asses so I can get back to worshiping you.”

Sanji would take note of all the things that comfort you. Whatever items like books, sweaters, fidgets, etc, and he would make sure to have them in reach for you if he saw your tells.

He’d also love whisking you away from any situation. If he noticed your demeanor shift, or if you leaned against him and whispered that you needed to leave, he would make up any excuse to get you out of there.

“My sweetheart needs some tea, we’ll catch up with you later. No Usopp, you don’t get any tea, go away.”

Drabble

“My love, is this dinner not to your liking? We can go back to the ship, I’ll make you whatever you like.”

“No Sanji, it’s delicious,” you said with a weak smile, guilt riding you for your drop in mood in the middle of the date he’d set up in the local town.

The look of concern on his face made you sigh. 

Why do I always have to bring people down?

“Please, mon coeur, tell me if there’s something bothering you. Is it something I’ve done?” 

“No, Sanji, I’m so sorry. I just have a hard time around a lot of people for too long. I love our date, I just get drained sometimes. I’m sor–”

“Don’t be sorry, dear. How about we take this to go? We can eat at the park on the way, or back at the ship? Whatever you need.”

The hurt and concern was gone from his face, replaced by a soft smile that made you lift your eyes to the ceiling to stop the hint of tears from welling up.

“I’m sorry I ruined–”

“Mon amour, I won’t listen to another word of that.”

His tone was firm as he pressed a kiss to your knuckles, almost a fierceness in his eyes now.

“And I will boil anyone that’s made you feel this way before. I’m happy with you anywhere. As long as you’re happy.”

You bit your quivering lip, trying not to think of partners in the past that had gotten angry at you when you’d need a break, when you didn’t want to go out. 

Sanji was different. Now that he knew, he checks in, he makes changes, and that pressure you used to feel is fading. 

“Anything you need, my love.”

Robin

You’d never have to worry, Robin is always your safe haven.

Even around the rest of the crew, Robin seems to have a quiet little corner, and you can sit with her, recharging as she reads, sending you a gentle smile now and then.

At parties, Robin will catch your gaze, often pulling you away from the group to go explore the area on your own. Always hunting for books, pets, and cozy spots.

If Robin notices you’re uncomfortable with people near you, she’d literally spawn arms on you to push them back a bit. Usually would only do this within the crew, and everyone would laugh while she pulled you away from the more rambunctious crew members. (i.e. Luffy hanging on you, and yelling directly in your ear, lol)

Robin is an introvert, and she’s found a great balance for herself. She helps you figure out what you need, and what your limits are, and it feels wonderful to have someone understand and support you so well

She’s the best girl 🥰

Drabble

“Mmhm,” you nodded, sipping your drink as Nami and Usopp chatted with the group’s new friends.

You hadn’t been able to chat for awhile now, brain slowly slinking back in your skull with guilt as you tried to keep a friendly look on your face.

You coughed to cover a gasp, the group turning to focus on you.

“Uh, excuse me. I’m going to grab another drink.”

The arm that had spawned on your back to tap gently on your shoulder tapped again until you turned to that side. There was Robin, smiling at you as she sat at the bottom of a staircase.

Letting out a strained breath, you made your way to her, already feeling lighter.

“Care to take a break with me, darling?”

“Yes, please,” you breathed, kissing her cheek as you sat beside her.

Robin leaned against you, people watching as you closed your eyes for a while. Now and then she would let out a soft hum or a low chuckle, and you grinned. Robin saw so much, and you loved to hear what she learned from people just by watching them. 

There was no pressure to return to the group. You could stay and watch with Robin, you could head back to the ship. You could do whatever felt best, and Robin would still be Robin. She’d still smile at you, just like this.

which is exactly what happens thankfully

Robin is the gentle mommy kind of girlfriend

You don’t even realize it but she is gently taking care of you without you noticing most of the time

Her devil fruit makes this extremely easy for her, placing a blanket around your shoulders from across the ship, gently catching you with a hand to get you balanced so you don't fall off the ship, helping you haul the rope in the storm, finding your lost item by looking around with extra eyes, etc

Robin is someone who when it comes to her partner uses less gendered terms. Prefers using they/them or terms of endearment like “my sparrow” “the beauty” “my partner” “my lover” “Who? Oh welcome home darling”

She likes calling or referring to you as hers, it's not to be jealously possessive or scare others off most of the time. It is simply that she is so happy to know that you are the person she has fallen for in this lifetime. This queen is convinced that you are the only one for her for the rest of time, she would never if you split up look for another. You are her angel and no one would be able to replace you, or hold a candle to the flame that she burns for you alone

When she does use it as a possessive outside of endearment or wonder, its usually due to one or both of you being in a dangerous situation and to alert one another of such things and tell others they fuck with either of you and the other will make sure there is hell to pay for everyone involved

Robin enjoys having you lay your head in her lap as she reads for some quiet bonding time. 

Her fingers will always be resting on your stomach or carding through your hair (if you have ethnic hair or protective hairstyles she would switch to gently tracing her fingers over your arm to respect the hard work that goes into maintaining it)

This is also a way she asserts herself in private as the top in the situation, she will have you kneel and only let you rest your head on her plush thighs when she feels you’ve earned the privilege back from being a brat/tease

Part two for that, Robin will understand however if such positions are grounding to you in times of anxiety or after lovemaking. If laying your head on her thighs/chest/stomach etc is calming for you she will always be ready to set things aside and go find a comfortable place to do so with you

If anyone of the older Straw Hats knows how to walk their s/o through a rough time it's Robin. She will gently guide you with touch, or words, or a calming presence. Not huge on PDA in public, not that she has a distaste for it she just likes to spoil you in private away from anyone who might try to tease you for being so tender 

It also goes that she's more on guard for dangers when out in the open, so part of her attention is ensuring that you are safe, rather than trying to enchant you with sweet words and melt you with firm but tender touches

I really see Robin as being the dominant person in the relationship, preferring that of being more the caretaker, although she is fine if you flip the script sometimes. Its just in her nature both in and out of the bedroom to make her treasured lover melt into a puddle or dote on them

It's her love language, besides it's so much fun to tease you even if you do or do not dish it back to her she loves being the one you trust and go to before anyone else

This woman is not the biggest on presents, she won’t mind receiving them but not really all that big on buying you presents. If you like receiving them she would take note and surprise you with things sometimes but they're never trinkets they are always items with purpose like clothes, weapon upgrades, skin care-useful things

Celebrations like your anniversary are the exception, she will spend so much time having something made or finding the perfect gift for you.

Price will not be a question, if its 1 million berries she will spend it for this occasion for that gift

Would be happy to teach you whatever knowledge she has on any given topic including how to read the poneglyphs if you’d like. Or nothing at all if you do not have the interest

She will do her best to support you in your hobbies or passions, but she will struggle if it is robots for purposes like Franky

She will still try because it's you but may gently suggest you talk to him about it as he’d understand more 

Kisses are not lost on Robin, she adores them. Long slow meaningful kisses, she's never rushed even if a fight is about to break out. 

Small quick kisses would be more your thing than hers, if she's kissing you even on the cheek she's slow, cupping your jaw as she sweetly leaves a kiss there before pulling away with a pleased smile. You can give her quick pecks, forehead smooches, bunny kisses, fast little makeouts but she will always kiss you slowly and methodically. Claiming all of you in that one kiss, so if you kiss her lips expect her extra hands to hold you there until she's done with you

Dates are never rushed. It's rare for her to plan a serious date with you but those are some of her favorites. Mood lighting and a really nice restaurant or to a fancy place to slow dance to some nice orchestra/ band music, or much to everyone's surprise a day at an amusement park, spa, water park. Only because she knows you’ll love it, and she would love watching you get excited and dart about as she slowly follows right behind never too far away. Taking in every second of the happiness on your face

Otherwise dates are more sporadic moments of you both wandering on your adventures together and just trying things that strike your fancy in town like shopping, or looking for a book she can’t read. She has challenged you once to find a book with a language she didn’t know as a way of distracting you from something the others were trying to surprise you with AND as a way of showing off her skills to you

There are many more ideas I have for this lovely woman but I’ll wait and see if anyone wants those as they may learn much more nsfw~

You didn't even realize you were crying until you felt the tears begin to stain your shirt. You could hear your crewmates fighting with the marines. While at the last island, you had been captured by the marines, and for almost 2 months you were in their custody. You had almost lost hope that your friends wouldn't save you...lost hope that you would never see Robin again...but when you heard Luffy's loud yelling from outside your cell you knew you were safe.

You sat there on the floor of your cell, crying tears of joy, when you felt something....tapping your shoulder??? You turned and saw an arm coming out from the ground next to you. Robin. She was here. She was really here. The hand pointed towards the door as another appeared, holding a key. You took the key and opened the door to your cell. A path of hands appeared in front of you, leading you to safety.

You followed the hands and ran through the base till you reached the outside. It seemed as if the battle had ended, the marines were all laying unconscious on the floor while your crew stood in the distance. You called out to them and ran towards them, tears pouring from your eyes. You expected the first person to run towards you would be Luffy or Chopper, but when you looked up you saw Robin running straight at you.

As soon as you were close enough you fell into her arms, knowing she'd catch you. She pulled you into a tight embrace and held you close.

You both stayed silent for sometime, taking in each other's presence. After awhile, you heard a faint whisper leave Robin's lips.

"I missed you...so much..."

You’re closet is gonna be fire too. How could it not when you live with two of the best-dressed women in the world?? They’d even let you borrow their stuff, they don’t mind.

You’re given direct access to all the finances, whether that be a good thing or an awful one. You want something? Nami's giving you some extra allowance.

It’s wonderfully quiet in there most of the time and is honestly the perfect place to get things done. Reading, writing, drawing—literally anything you want to do, the girls' room is perfect.

There's probably a bowl of fruits (mostly tangerines) on the little coffee table in the room.

Sometimes, on the more casual days on the Sunny, Chopper will come in and lay on the bed with you as the four of you relax and lounge around.

You guys develop your own eye language where you can communicate through glances over the table at each other or across the hall when you hear something out of pocket.

You're gonna be forced to be a part of whatever petty theft the two conjure up. They'll sit you down, map out the plan, and boom—you're all pulling off mini heists on the pirate ships parked nearby around the island.

Flowers. Flowers everywhere, all over the room. It's quite literally the best-smelling room on the ship and Robin puts in the effort to make the bouquets look beautiful as well.

There's never a moment when the room is unorganized. Robin is really good at making sure the place is well-kept and clean at all times.

Zeus floats around the room like a cat and guards the room with his life. No one else but Chopper and whatever other girl or kid you guys have on the ship at that moment are allowed in.

Speaking of kids, Nami has little stuffed animals in one of the corners of the room for when you guys happen to have kids on board. She likes making sure they have something to distract themselves with.

Living with them is calm and playful. There's hardly ever a moment you're a part of the two and the three of you make one of the best trios out there.

✶ Luffy has always been your favorite member of the crew, but you'd never tell the others that.

✶ You find yourself clinging to him the most. His carefree way of life amazes you and you wonder what it feels like to have no fears. This wonder draws you to him more than anyone else.

✶ When enemies (or anyone, really) get too close, you find yourself getting angry and jealous. You try to suppress the feelings but they always cause your blood to boil until you lash out at the opposer. Sometimes it ends well, sometimes it doesn't, but Luffy always gives you a pat on the back that makes it feel worth it.

✶ You see him as the hilarious older brother you never had growing up. He helps calm you down in times of need and he tries his best to be patient with you, even if he often fails. It's the thought that counts.

✶ During heated battles you (very reluctantly) stay away from him. He’s always facing the danger head on and you know you can't let yourself get too involved with the fighting… Though sometimes if there's not enough time for you to make a safe escape, you'll end up with your arms wrapped around his neck holding on for dear life as he punches his way to victory. These are secretly some of your favorite moments. It gives you the sense of adventure you crave but are too fearful to seek out on your own.

✶ Luffy always saves a spot right next to him for you at the dining table. More often than not he'll unintentionally eat a good portion of your meal, but you're too timid to point it out to him. Plus, you're more than happy with what Sanji provides anyways!

✶ It may take a while (a long while) for you to come out of your shell a little bit, but once you do it's non stop goofy duets between you and the rubber man.

✶ He’ll never leave you out of the crowd. Even if you're trying to cower behind him, he'll pull you into the group huddle and make sure your voice is heard. It can be overwhelming at times, but you know it'll be helpful in the long run.

♡ Zoro ♡

✶ You don't talk to Zoro all the much. He's a muscular, straight-faced, sword wielding “pirate hunter” and all of those traits mixed together scares the hell out of you. Despite this, every interaction you've had with him as been nice, so you know deep down he's a kind soul (even if appearances make that hard to believe).

✶ Most of your interactions with him include trying not to trip over him while he's sleeping on the deck in the middle of the day.

✶ The other times mostly consist of his insanely quick reflexes saving you from falling off of high buildings or into the water.

✶ You can recall one time early on in your induction to the crew where he was on night watch and you sleepily stumbled onto the deck, still trying to get the hang of being on the ship. He bluntly invited you up and with a little bit of hesitation, you agreed. The two of you mostly sat in silence and simply looked at the stars in the night sky, but you remember feeling an odd sense of comfort from the man. Since this time, you often think about asking to do the night watch with him again, though your nerves get the best of you and you can never seem to spit out the words you want to. Maybe one day you'll have another nice night in the crow’s nest…

♡ Sanji ♡

✶ Sanji always makes it a point to make sure you're feeling as comfortable as you possibly can.

✶ He’ll bring you special snacks when you don't ask for them, he'll cook you extra servings since he knows Luffy always takes yours and you won't tell him to stop, and he’ll always makes sure you're full before you leave the table after every meal.

✶ You feel as though you can confide in Sanji a little more than the others. You don't know much of his past and he doesn't know yours, but you can tell you both have something in common, even if it's unspoken.

✶ His presence is calming and you never feel pressured to change while you're around him. He doesn't mind your stuttering or fumbling over words- he's always patient and caring.

✶ You'll never understand his crazy obsession with women and quite frankly, you never want to. It's something you've learned to block out and you try your best to avoid him when he's making a fool of himself.

✶ He’s always the first to rush to try to help you out of a sticky situation, he'd never be able to live with himself if something bad happened to you. He feels almost a parental sense of responsibility for you. Because he was cheated out of his childhood, he doesn't want you to be cheated out of yours.

✶ You view Sanji as your more responsible “older brother” or maybe even a little bit of a father figure. You've never had someone care for you so much and it makes you feel so welcomed.

♡ Usopp ♡

✶ You and Usopp are kindred spirits. You two always try to stay out of trouble and are probably the two most conscious people on the crew.

✶ You both notice the tiniest details in everything that's going on. An enemy mysteriously moved from one place to another? Both you and Usopp are keenly aware of it. The group split off into smaller groups to divide and conquer? This chills you and him to your bones. Everything that goes unnoticed by the rest of the crew in battle, is spotted out immediately by the both of you.

✶ You find comfort in Usopp’s nearly irrational fear of everything. Him making up fake illness names to try to explain these fears never fails to make you crack a small smile even when you're terrified. Him being scared of everything makes you feel less alone.

✶ In your free time he'd try to teach you how to draw if you wanted. You accept the offer every once in a while and even though it can be stressful learning to do something new. Luckily, he’s extremely understanding and doesn't mind going over one step multiple times until you've got it down. Many of these drawings end up being pinned up in the kitchen or in various Straw Hat’s rooms.

✶ During most adventures and fights, you try to stick with Usopp as much as possible. Though he may not be the most reliable in combat, you know his intelligence and slingshot can get him far. As a bonus, you know he's always going to try to stay away from trouble as much as you are. And it never hurts to have a like minded rational person around!

♡ Robin ♡

✶ Robin has essentially adopted you as her own child.

✶ Much like how she thinks of Chopper, she thinks you're absolutely adorable and will go to any length necessary to protect you at any cost.

✶ She has a talent for getting you to a place of serenity when things get extra overwhelming and she'll always take the time to work things out with you.

✶ She’s extremely analytical in her ways which can be frustrating at times when her points clash with your emotions, but the majority of her advice is extremely valuable to you. You never take her help for granted even if sometimes it's unwanted.

✶ After Usopp, you try to stay glued to Robin the most. You know she can and will protect you with her life, though the danger that comes with her name scares you a little too much for comfort. You know that following her will lead to trouble, but sometimes it's worth it.

✶ You love sitting on the deck and watching sunsets with her as she reads you a book or lists off random facts about whatever it is she wants to teach you. Before joining the Straw Hats, you hadn't learned much about the world and Robin has become your personal teacher.

✶ Most of your survival skills (excluding the ones you learned on your own before joining the crew) come from Robin and her well rounded knowledge. Her intelligence amazes you and you often ask her for help with common practices, to which she cheerfully provides.

"Woah watch it Y/N!" Franky shouted as he stopped you from walking into a wall. You looked up, a little shocked at what happened and took a minute to remind yourself what just happened. Oh, that's right. You were reading.

Now usually you weren't super into books, but you really wanted to impress Robin. The archeologist practically lived in the Sunny's library, so you thought that maybe if you also showed a interest in books, you could join her once and awhile. You had randomly picked a book you found laying around and started reading, only indulging to get close to her...but somehow you found yourself trapped within the story.

The plot, setting, characters, everything was just amazing. You never wanted to stop reading it...so that's why your crewmates have been stopping you from tripped while you walk around with your nose in the book.

"Thanks Franky," you sighed.

"Maybe you should sit down somewhere and read that, don't want you walking off the ship into the sea!"

Haha.

You waved off his concern and continued your reading. The main deck might be a nice place to sit in the sun and read...and maybe Robin would be there too. You left the kitchen and made your way to the stairs. You'd just be a little more careful...but this chapter was SO GOOD you couldn't keep your eyes off the page and this one part where-

You felt yourself start to fall forward, only to realize that you were falling down the stairs. The book flew out of your hands as you braced yourself for the impact...but it never came. You opened your eyes to see your book being held out in front of you by a....a hand sprouting from the ground?!?!?!

You took in your surroundings and realized there were a few other hands holding you up, insuring you wouldn't hit the floor. You heard a familiar fufufu as you looked up to see Robin giggling at you.

"Are you okay? Seems you were so caught up in this book you tripped," she said, taking the book and looking at the back of the cover. You honestly had wished you had hit the floor because the embarrassment you were feeling right now made you want to explode. As she calmly flipped through your book, you sat there staring at her while being tangled in her arms. If you tripping wasn't bad enough being in this awkward position didn't help at all.

While panicking in your head, you failed to realize the arms slowly lowing you to the ground. They carefully positioned you so you sat on the steps. Robin looked down at you from above as you covered your face. The embarrassment was so bad that your face looked like a tomato.

"You're really red right now," Robin chuckled as she handed the book back to you. You slowly uncovered your face and took it back, not really looking at her.

"That's by one of my favorite authors, it's such a great read. Would you care to join me in the library for tea later? I'd love to discuss it with someone."

You were kind of baffled by her request, you FALL and embarrass yourself and she still wants to hang out?!?!?! You immediately agree to meet her in the library later, and as soon as she was out of sight you did a fist pump and continued to read your book.

Little did you know a small eye sprouted next to you, watching to make sure you didn't trip again.

When I tell you it’s the sweetest thing, you bet your ass it is.

She’ll make sure you’re perfectly comfortable before moving you closer to her. She’ll play with your hair, and braid it. Your body is cupped up perfectly between her legs and chest. Letting her DP softly massages your shoulders, hips, back, legs, arms, feet. You name it, she’s gladly obligates. When I say you’re in perfect care, you are.

She’ll get everything for you, you wouldn’t have to get up an inch. “Need water? Food? A quick bath? To go to the restroom?” She’ll just slowly get up from her and yours position and slowly guide you to the bathroom. Regardless of how mobile you are. She also just holler for Sanji to bring you two food.

Mainly nudging him on the shoulder with her DP. Easily making sure she doesn’t disturb you. Either for requests or him to bring it over. He mostly obligates gladly and takes no time at all. So, knowing she has the best chef working for you, she relaxes a bit.

If you’re relaxed and okay, then she is. She’ll worry if she hurt you anywhere and keep reassuring you. When you finally tell her that she was the best part of her life, and gave great care to your body, you can see the visual relief. You would also lazily say “your aftercare is the best, mama.”

You can feel her softly tense up and chuckle with a flustered tone. Considering that after this, it’s been a long day, and you unraveled each other through intimacy. You’re both pretty tired and exhausted, and sleepily peering at each other. You both seem to have lost most interest in trying to keep your mind occupied.

You, of course are the one to fall asleep first. Robin watches you silently drifting from consciousness to sleep. Your head still laying on her stomach/chest. She smiles to herself while she still caresses your hair. She rests her head on top of the pillow, slightly facing up and leans gently down against you. Adjusting her leg’s position, and lifting you up more on her chest.

She quickly falls asleep soon after you. You two stay like this until Nami or Luffy wakes you. If Nami does it, it’s gently nudged against each other’s shoulders or upper stomach/chest. (Kinda like how you’ll wake up your mother?) she didn't know what to say or how to react, the last time you saw each other she kinda stealed your money, this happened before she met Luffy.

you never held a grudge against Nami, you just wanted to understand her motivations.

Later, Nami took the chance and went to talk to you privately.

she apologized and explained that she only stole your money to save her village and not because she is a bad person, and that if need be she would give you back your lost money.

you smile and say it's not necessary, you're just glad to see her again.

after that you get closer and more intimate, Nami is very happy that you forgave her, after all, how could you not forgive the girl who stole your heart?

always having to run away from the world government, Robin learned not to trust anyone, which made her a little paranoid.
