clark telling lex to drive slower because he could get hurt 🥺
“I think that’s your destiny clark, to help people, to save them from fear and darkness”
drowning in the corn tank… very a quiet place of them
107
AMY ADAMS??!!???!!?! what is going AWN
I have to admit I do see the appeal of clark/chloe and if I was watching this in 2001 I def would have shipped them
I can’t believe clark, lana, chloe and crew are genuinely supposed to be 14/15 right now and lex is like 20 asgjgkkf
clark making a drive in movie for lana at the kent farm for her bday— I’m not crying you are !!!
108
the candyman????? who was casting this show
awfully convenient that the next time clark had to save lex he was being affected by kryptonite… lucky this time
109
wow they’re really making chloe/clark/lana a triangle huh
110
clark interrogating lex about his new girlfriend saying ‘she doesn’t seem like your type’ and lex smirking at him for 5 seconds straight… what are they doinggggggg
I can’t even be mad at amy because I too would have an obsessive crush on lex if my mom was his housekeeper
111
clark liking chloe’s kiss… now they’re just taunting the chlark shippers
112
hellooooo shawn ashmore 😏

lex working overtime to do damage control (mostly with the kents) every episode is so funny, give that boy a break
115
honest to god some of the special effects on this show are better than ones nowadays
jonathan belching directly into lex’s face… absolutely the highlight of the season
pete and chloe were carryingggg the walk n talk scenes on this show… west wing who??
this episode is fun (except for the creepy sexualization of 15 year old lana part, very riverdale of them)
this lex/lana scene ooooh they have the SPICE and lex seeing right through her act 🥺🥺
116
ryan outing chloe’s crush on clark we love to see it
117
this is a good episode idk what imdb is talking about rating it in the low 7s… the jonathan/clark (+lex/whitney) father/son drama is so good

air force recruiter to clark: I see you in a uniform flying 💀
chloe using adam brody to make clark jealous… she’s living my dream
CLARK ADMITTING HE WAS JEALOUS 🆘🆘🆘🆘
THE PRINCIPAL HIT ADAM BRODY???????
not this lex/pamela family drama making me cry—
the oc showrunners probably saw adam brody with chloe and said ‘get a blonde with short spiky hair for him STAT’ and brought anna in
clark grabbing chloe’s hand !!!!!!!!!! I’M GONNA SPIRAL
120
damn they really loved making chloe a damsel in distress huh
chloe was clark’s first kiss 😭😭😭
ok so someone was def trying to lure clark out huh
I liked lex’s line about the stars’ light reaching them now even though they died a thousand years ago / the past always having an effect on the present
the way clark says “hey 😐 … HEY 🥰😊” every time he sees chloe
not this john mayer song during this clark/chloe scene——— they were made for me I fear
121
clark’s truck blowing up ahdhshshsh my jaw DROPPED
I’ll say it… clark and chloe are steroline coded
why is this lana/whitney goodbye scene making me tear up 🫣
REMY ZERO PERFORMING AT THE DANCE !!!! and he looks just like lex lmfao
oh the drama!!! they simply don’t do season finales like this anymore
lex not saving his father… that shit was scury
+ misc tweets of mine throughout the season:
I hope the music supervisor of smallville s1 has a cold pillow every night and they have everything they ever wanted in life
really struggling with the fact that I ship lex/lana so much already and it’s only s1 and he’s supposed to be 20 while she’s 15???? this is horrible. like how have smallville fans coped with this over the years? I can suspend disbelief to a certain point but damn. this show is the worst case of casting 20+ year olds to play high schoolers I’ve ever seen no doubt
smallville 1x07 just ended with hero by enrique iglesias and then 1x08 opened with pacific coast party by smash mouth… yeah this show officially has the best soundtrack of all time
I’m only on ep 3 of smallville but clark/lana/lex is feeling very much like stefan/elena/damon
no one told me the smallville soundtrack was gonna slap this hard

🐈‍⬛ 🌻 😇 👥️ 🎶 for the ask game <3
Thank you so much for the asks! <3 :D
🐈‍⬛ animal
My favourite animal is a cheetah! I'm just so impressed by their speed and how they run. If I had a mutant power, I'd want it to be super speed. So I want them to teach me there ways!
😇 blorbo
Right now, my The Wilds hyperfixation is so strong I can think of practically nothing else (oopsie). But yes! I love all the Wilds girls but Toni Shalifoe is my favourite <3. Honestly, she might have taken the crown of favourite character of all time at this point. Just gaaah. Such a softie underneath all that understandable anger. Cares so much for those she loves. I love her and all the layers of her character.
Tumblr media
Before I watched the Wilds I got really into Legacies again (by finally watching s3 and s4). Absolutely obsessed with Lizzie Saltzman! Very relatable in some regards. Absolutely hilarious! Has so much pain and so many deep insecurities.
Tumblr media
Alice Jones from Once Upon A Time, (my beloved) <3! A silly who has suffered too much!!
Tumblr media
Chelsea Daniels from That's So Raven. She's so endearing to me. The silliest of sillies. Raven is a very close second, though.
Tumblr media
Natalie Goodman from Next To Normal. Relatable in an ansty way.
Tumblr media
Peter Simmonds from Bare: A Pop Opera. So relatable. A Cinnamon Roll <3.
Tumblr media
Kate Dalton from We Are The Tigers. Sarcasm queen.
Tumblr media
Vincent Lin From Adamandi. They may be a murderous blorbo. But they're my murderous blorbo.
Tumblr media
Circe from Epic: The Musical. She's just so cool.
Tumblr media
Draculaura from Monster High. Again, so cool and I love how much she loves her friends.
Tumblr media
Chloe Sullivan from Smallville. Big influence on me growing up. Though I probably shouldn't have been watching Smallville at 9. She just cared so much about those she loved.
Tumblr media
Simon Tudor from Jeopardy. His character development is everything <3.
Tumblr media
Cloe From Bratz. The biggest drama queen ever and I love her for it.
Tumblr media
Kurt Wagner from X-Men Evolution (and just x-men in general). He's such a silly guy.
Tumblr media
Shalimar Fox from Mutant X. The most badass, protective queen to ever.
Tumblr media
And that's all I can think of, but they're in no particular order. Except Toni. Toni gets the number 1 blorbo badge.
🌻 flower
I don't know much about flowers but I really like the look of Plumeria.
👥️ otp
So many! I shall limit myself to one per show.
Shoni!! (from The Wilds). I think they have made it to number 1 otp status!
Tumblr media
Snowing from Once Upon A Time. But also shout out to Curious Archer!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mizzie from Legacies! Still can't believe they got to be endgame!! I thought it was just gonna be hopes and dreams but the way I screamed my head off!! I love an unrequited love storyline but I love it even more when it then becomes requited. He thought the world of her and then she realised she felt the same about him too and it was beautiful and I cried (and screamed).
Tumblr media
Natalie x Henry from Next To Normal. He's just so supportive of her and would do anything to make sure she's okay and that makes me want to cry into my cereal.
Tumblr media
Peter x Jason from Bare: A Pop Opera. Everything hurts. But their chemistry was of the charts and they were so in love and I am in pain.
Tumblr media
Cheer Wives from We Are The Tigers. They were sooooo bad for each other but needed each other? It was a mess but I was so very there for it.
Tumblr media
Quincent from Adamandi. I am once again in so much pain. I can't get over how beautiful the lyrics they sang were when referencing each other.
Tumblr media
Freffy from Skins. The way he cared for Effy D,:. He would haved moved mountains just to make her smile. My heart will forever be broken over what happened to Freddie. He deserved so much better.
Tumblr media
Dracudeen. Just the whole of 'This is Not How Or Story Goes.' There was no hetrosexual explanation for that and Clawdeen nearly died to save her!
Tumblr media
Chlark from Smallville. Next to Simon x Chrissie, they were one of my first otps. No one did friendship like them. But I always wanted it to be more. That whole unrequited thing that was never really given a chance to become requited.
Tumblr media
Edited to add: Chlavis! I now one cannot have 2 otps that include the same character but I always go back and forth between which I like best. Chlavis' story was so intense and traumatic but at least it ended up being requited this time around! Extremely requited!
Tumblr media
Simon x Chrissie. Tfw the two most terrible people you'd never wanted to be stranded in the wilderness with have the most beautiful, unrushed character development and learn to care for people other than themselves as they slowly fall in love, when there was merely the shallowest one-sided crush you ever did see there before. The way they became heroes <3. And the way Simon just didn't know how to be without Chrissie but persisted in trying to save her when chances were beyond slim. I miss them so much and need to rewatch <3.
Tumblr media
Harlan x Cyrus. They had so much chemistry and genuinely had a connection and now we'll never know what happened to them. I wish we got to know them better. Darn you Amazon!
Tumblr media
Cloe x Jade from Bratz. It was more of a case of all the unwritten fanfiction I had in my head for them as an 11 year old. But I only let it get as gay as Monster High 2 at the time, which is actually very incredibly gay, so I don't know who my brain was trying to fool.
Lance x Kitty from X-Men Evolution. They had a really interesting connection and were drawn to each other.
Tumblr media
🎶 musical artist
I mostly listen to musical theatre songs but my favourite band has always been S Club 7. I'm not sure I have an overall favourite solo artist. Maybe James Morrison!
Thank you again for the asks! They were such a blast to answer!

seeing clark and lois in this domestic setting: the family dynamic and their relationship to the community of smallville while clark is also doing superman on the sides and trying to balance both is sooo interesting! the characterization of clark and lois is just *chef's kiss*
JHI and Natalie are also my fav characters of the show. I love seeing Natalie, Jordan and Jonathan hanging out. ❤️

THE CW NETWORK SETS SUPER TUESDAYS THIS SPRING AS “SUPERMAN & LOIS” RETURNS AND “GOTHAM KNIGHTS” DEBUTS ON TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2023
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Superman & Lois” Season Three Takes Flight at 8:00pm ET/PT
New Heroes Will Rise When “Gotham Knights” Premieres at 9:00pm ET/PT
The CW Network today announced the third season of the hit drama SUPERMAN & LOIS—the network’s most-watched series of 2022—will premiere on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), followed by the series debut of GOTHAM KNIGHTS (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).
“The new season of The CW’s biggest show SUPERMAN & LOIS alongside our most exciting new series GOTHAM KNIGHTS will make Tuesdays a can’t-miss night of action,” said Brad Schwartz, President, Entertainment, The CW Network. “With the iconic characters and gritty streets that everyone knows, fans will experience the best season yet of SUPERMAN & LOIS and be introduced to a hunted group of crime fighters out for vengeance, following in Batman’s footsteps on GOTHAM KNIGHTS.”
In GOTHAM KNIGHTS, Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore), and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the GOTHAM KNIGHTS.
From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM KNIGHTS is written by Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams. Fiveash and Stoteraux serve as showrunners and executive produce the series alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman. Abrams also serves as co-executive producer. Danny Cannon directed and served as an executive producer on the pilot, along with David Madden. GOTHAM KNIGHTS is based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.
Season three of SUPERMAN & LOIS opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston. Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough. Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan (Alex Garfin) discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) searches for purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry (Wolé Parks) is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie (Tayler Buck). Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle (Erik Valdez) redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah (Inde Navarrette) explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh) reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.
Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERMAN & LOIS is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Todd Helbing, Sarah Schechter, Brent Fletcher, and Geoff Johns.

Okay okay okay okay okay.
I love this concept. It’s got my creative sparks flying and I just HAD to ramble!
So, the premise: the events of S2 were all caused by a mind-link dreamscape, which is why everything was so weird and so wrong.
There are things I really like about the original concept, and things I’d change if I were a Superman & Lois writer making S3. For instance, I would make it Clark, Jordan, Jon and Lois, JHI and Natalie, in the dream. I’d also probably go with the Black Mercy idea rather than Kryptonite, or some tech; similarly to the Dominator mindscape-tech.
We know that over the summer (between S1 & S2), JHI and Natalie left, and then Lois met with them, and they all returned to live at the Kent farm. Well, we never saw them INSIDE the house, right? My thoughts: when they entered, there was a trap that got them. Some instances of the dream are shared, but others only happen in one or two minds…
Additionally, the prison changed things—or at least, it felt like that to the characters. It made up the distant, cold and snappish Lois that they remembered over the summer. It made up Clark’s visions, and Lois actually being wrong about Ally and the Inverse Society, and it made Lucy insufferable.
It made up Candace, Jon’s girlfriend, since Tegan dropped him all over again.
It made up Sarah’s cheating, the idea having come from Jordan already learning she’s bi and his own insecurities about being able to keep her interested, and made him dream up a scenario where fake versions of his half-sister and brother would compare it to his own secrets, since to Jor, they’re similar.
It made up JHI’s injury, then moved on from it like it hardly happened. That’s why, when he gets another head injury, it was just fine.
But these are all just the tip of the iceberg!
Like, the source of the dreamscape is purposely praying on things that bring out strong emotions in each prisoner, as well as making them do things they never would: in typical Black Mercy fashion, it needs them to stay engaged and fueling the illusions.
Fears and desires are both fulfilled.
Fears:
Lois becomes a harsh mother, Clark a harsh father. Lois loses Clark, and isn’t reassured. Jon is immediately given up on by his dad, who also never listens, doesn’t ask about his health after XK, and is left behind while his dad and brother go flying. Jordan is losing Sarah. He loses his dad, and so does Jon. Micky attacks Jon, and he can’t defend himself. Clark is losing control of himself. Lois is losing her only friends and sister. Natalie repeatedly has to face the mortality of her dad. Clark’s mind conjures a new reason to feel guilty, even though it’s so unlikely: Lana’s lingering feelings for him; this is because the Black Mercy has once again created new memories (the retcons). Additionally, it’s being fed info about the real world, or perhaps future events: Lana being mayor of Smallville, and Daniel Hart quitting.
And there’s obviously more: Jon’s afraid, since he was wrong about Jordan/powers changed his brother, that he’d be changed just the same: enter one “evil” doppelgänger Jonathan-El with the powers of Superman.
Clark also fears who he might be if he ever lost his way. Enter Bizarro; Clark’s subcon. mind is aware of how he’s unintentionally been neglecting Jon, so Bizarro does, too. But as the Black Mercy learns their fears, it pushes them to act in ways they wouldn’t, in order to feed into the pain of the illusions. The real Clark goes back to Jon and makes it clear he loves him, but Jon’s false-dad then goes back to treating him as he’d dreamed…
Lois suddenly finds herself unable to move, despite the fact she always would, instead just watching as her family is hurt and hurt…
Almost losing Jon, almost losing her dad, almost losing Clark, almost losing Jordan…
And for Jordan, everything seems to be telling him he can’t ever be with Sarah, the girl he loves. Even Sarah’s own mom says it.
JHI keeps getting pulled into heroics, afraid to not be there for his daughter, but unable to do nothing, even as he tries to resist it…
And of course, this is a dream, so their minds conjure up more than necessary, weaving a story—Lana’s hurt at the lies, guilt after yelling at Jordan. Kyle’s infidelity. The Merging and splitting of the two worlds…
In the S3 pilot, we get flashes of moments as they happen inside the mindscape, of who they belong to; who saw what and who did not, as well as the Black Mercy growing…
But we don’t see anyone saving them.
When all hope is lost, though, the Lane-Kents and the Irons gasp and jerk awake like they’d just been drowning, and we do see. It was Chrissy, who was worried when Lois never came to work, and went to the farm. Who saw the alien parasite (ha, the REAL Parasite of S2), and, remembering Sam, had called and gotten him involved. The DOD, now run by Anderson, because Clark had met the man over the summer and that, at least, had been real, saved the “civilians,” with Sam staying apprised, due to relation.
(Bonus points if instead of the DOD getting them free, because it IS a giant Black Mercy feeding on multiple people, Jon’s powers emerge and save them, but only Jon knows—he obviously doesn’t tell the DOD, and the DOD doesn’t know what happened (but are very suspicious, maybe…?), however, Jon also isn’t ready to confide in his family; he doesn’t know how much of that hellscape was fabricated, and how much…wasn’t. Not to mention, he just dreamed up two not-so-great versions of himself, he’s very much not confident he can handle powers morally!)
Afterwards, the families need to recover. And, with only the Lane-Kents to get what they’re going through, the Irons decide to stay close by. They all help each other heal, and THAT is season 3’s focus; and maybe Intergang does come back, because yeah, obviously there’s gotta be a big villain plot.
Desires:
Jordan gets all his powers, gets to be the hero, no matter the adversaries. Clark gets to have his brother, even dreams up a Tal-Rho he got to grow up with, who was soft and dedicated and loved. Lois…I mean, did she get any wins? Her dreams were always her family’s wellbeing in the real world, so maybe we can say the Black Mercy could only really focus on her fears, and/or that she had so much fear it zeroed-in on it. JHI and Nat had their moments as they rebuilt their lives together, got a new home, a new family, became superheroes together. Jon…well, technically he had a girlfriend, briefly he had powers…yeah Idk; same as Lois…?
In any case, everyone is saved, S2 is (thank fuck) thrown in the trash, Clark is suddenly very aware of Jon’s struggling and is back to having always been a gentle, loving dad. Lois is also back to always being a good, loving mom, and has renewed focus to save Lucy, but this time there are no world-disasters tied to her sister being rescued. Jordan’s back to a BELIEVABLE hero-rising story, and also is abruptly back to dating Sarah, who’s always been loyal, and doesn’t know who and what he is. And Jon…well, he finds out that his dad DID have that flying lesson with Jordan, the real Jordan, BUT he only didn’t talk to Jon after almost dying because the Black Mercy kept messing with his mind—he did screw up, he did forget Jon, just like he didn’t think to take Jon to the Fortress or to meet Jor-El, but he isn’t the asshole who repeatedly dismissed hearing out his son, who didn’t care to check that Jon was healthy after taking Kryptonian drugs, ect. There’s a path forward for them. They heal.
And Sarah is back to being pre-S2 Sarah, who’s a good character, and can I stress again that Lois and Clark were always and return to being understanding, soft parents?
I’m rambling. But also: Lara is S1 Lara again. That is also a big thing. Anderson gets a re-do of his character, the Supermen may have never existed, but Tag Harris does again. The boys and Natalie are basically a year younger or whatever and we can get more school stuff. Jon is free to get a new boyfriend significant other, because Candace is…well maybe she exists, but they only dated for like two seconds before the dream-prison and now he needs to break things off.
There is no Everyone Can Have Powers drug flooding the halls of Smallville high, BUT, like Lana eventually becoming mayor, and Kyle (probably) also being caught having cheated (and his atonement now going on off-screen because we saw it already), we find out that XK is giving the members of Intergang quick and temporary powers—with similar side-effects to the personality as Red K did to Clark in Smallville the show—in Metropolis. And, the dead JHI was killed by Intergang.
And now we have to wonder, how’d the Black Mercy weave in future events? Or, things that were happening IRL in another city? Because the prisoners didn’t know!
Or maybe someone has some precognition…
Who knows?

Heaven or Hell?
Most people looked at Bruce Wayne and saw a stoic man that was always serious, stiff, and solemn. He rarely joked, and his smiles were few and far between. You'd be more likely to get a blank stare than a grin out of Bruce Wayne; more likely to get your hand smacked away with a growl when you put it on his shoulder, than have him subtly lean in with the smallest smile quirking his lips.
Most people weren't Clark Kent.
It started out simple enough, as most friendships do. Bruce tried to kill Clark with a spear made out of kryptonite; had a revelation when he found out Superman grew up on a farm in Kansas with a mother and father; let Superman live; saved Superman's mom from a psycho with a flamethrower; fought beside him to defeat an alien human hybrid; watched him die; watched from the shadows as he was buried; felt immeasurable guilt; gathered four other people to defeat another alien; figured out a way to bring Clark back to life; raised him from the dead; fought beside him to save the world again; bought the bank that foreclosed on his family home; etc, etc, etc..
You know; simple.
After all of that, their friendship was inevitable. It was only a matter of time before they fell for each other.
For Clark, it all started the first time he made Bruce smile. It had felt like he was walking on air, a feeling he was infinitely familiar with. He didn't think it was possible to feel any better than that; and then he made Bruce laugh. Clark can't even remember what he said, but it had clearly caught Bruce off guard and he let out a surprised laugh, eyes crinkling just so around the edges, and that solidified it. Clark was a goner.
~
"Oh, so you can laugh." Clark had joked, grinning at Bruce as the latter tried to school his expression back to it's emotionless mask. It was a good thing Bruce couldn't hear his heartbeat, because it felt like the thing was going to burst out of his chest, and he knew right then that he'd do anything to hear that laugh again.
"Only when people are funny." Bruce knew he said something wrong when Clark's smile grew.
"You think I'm funny?" Clark asked, reminding Bruce of an excited puppy as he leaned in close with a big grin on his face.
"Don't let it go to your head, Smallville." Bruce said, rolling his eyes and forcing down another smile at Clark's goofy expression.
~
Unbeknownst to Clark, Bruce was just as smitten as he was. He couldn't pinpoint the exact moment he fell for Clark, it was just a series of small things that culminated in what Dick called a "massive crush", Alfred called "infatuation", and what Bruce called "a bad idea". Bruce cherished his friendship with Clark too much to ruin it by selfishly talking about his feelings, so he resolved to stuff his emotions deep down inside and just savor his friendship.
Let it be known, Bruce Wayne may be an actual genius, but that didn't make him smart.
~
"How did you talk me into this again?" Bruce asked as a bowl of popcorn was deposited into his lap. Clark plopped down on the couch next to him and earned a glare from Bruce as he just barely managed to keep the popcorn from spilling all over the couch.
"I called Dick behind your back and asked him to cover for you tonight." Clark acted like Bruce would accept that answer from just anyone. Did he not realize how lucky he was that Bruce allowed him to do things like that?
"I don't even want to know how that conversation went." Bruce muttered, looking at the microwaved popcorn in his lap as though it had personally offended him.
"Are you sure?" Clark asked, signature goofy grin in place as he took a handful of popcorn and caught Bruce's attention. "He had some--interesting--things to say."
Bruce was 90% sure Clark was bluffing. He watched Clark with narrowed eyes, as though if he looked at him long and hard enough he could read his mind.
Clark humored him for a few seconds before huffing and shaking his head, dropping it. "Have some popcorn."
"I don't--" Bruce was cut off when Clark popped two kernels into his mouth. Bruce glared him as he reluctantly closed his mouth and chewed, scowling when Clark had the audacity to flutter his eyelashes at him.
"You're lucky you're invulnerable-"
"-To your charm?"
Bruce rolled his eyes and looked away, blatantly trying to hide the quirk of his lips. "Just put the movie on."
Clark hit play and they both settled in to watch Annihilation. Clark tried to get Bruce to eat more popcorn, but the stubborn billionaire refused, so Clark made quick work of the snack so he could get rid of the bowl. It had nothing to do with the fact that he wanted an excuse to sit minutely closer to Bruce without anything in between them. Nothing at all.
The two main characters are in bed together, Natalie Portman's character was teasing Oscar Issacs's and Oscar started tickling her, when Clark turns to Bruce with what Bruce is sure Clark thinks is an innocent smile. Bruce eyes him warily, having a feeling that that smile couldn't mean anything good for him. Call it intuition.
"Hey Bruce," Clark asked, looking like he was just dosed with The Joker's smiling gas. Bruce quirks an eyebrow in question. "Are you ticklish?"
"Am I ticklish?" Bruce repeats, looking at Clark like he'd just grown an extra head. Clark nods, excited, and brings his hand up to rest lightly on Bruce's ribcage. "I trained with The League of Shadows for seven years." Every instinct he had was screaming at him to slam his arm down and knock Clark's hand away, but that was ridiculous. He ignored the urge, leaving his left arm stretched along the back of the couch. "They taught me how to withstand literal torture."
"That's great." The way Clark said it made Bruce bristle, as though he were being mocked. "So...are you ticklish?"
Bruce only just refrained from rolling his eyes. "You're not going to let this go, are you?" Clark shook his head, his hand not moving from it's spot on Bruce's ribcage. "I don't know." Bruce admitted, his fight or flight instincts kicking into overdrive as Clark's impossibly wide smile turned sinister, for lack of a better word. "But I sincerely doubt it."
"Oh," Clark breathed, smiling turning predatory. "This is going to be fun."
Bruce had every intention of asking Clark how old he was, but Clark chose that moment to start rhythmically scratching his fingers over Bruce's ribs. Bruce clamped down on the smile that instantly tried to spring to his face. He held himself very still and refused to curl into a ball as Clark brought his other hand up to Bruce's right side and started giving it the same treatment.
"I can tell you want to laugh." Clark teased, stroking his fingers up and down either side of Bruce's ribs. "Just give in." It didn't escape Clark's notice that, had anyone dared try something like this, Bruce would have rained hell down on them.
"I-" Bruce's breath hitched as Clark's fingers danced down to the sides of his stomach. "-don't know what you're talking about." HIs voice sounded strangled as he fought to keep his breathing even. His left arm was still stretched out along the back of the couch, his right arm resting on the arm of the couch. Both of his hands were balled into fists, knuckles white as he refused to give in and shove Clark away.
"The sooner you laugh, the sooner this ends."
"This doesn't bother meeee--" Bruce sucked in a sharp breath, muscles tensing as his brain screamed at him to clamp his arms down. Clark had buried his fingers into Bruce's armpits without any warning, and was now slowly wiggling his fingers into the exposed hollows.
"Oh? Does this bother you?" Clark asked, amused at how red Bruce's face was turning as he clearly fought to keep his arms were they were.
"Hnh." Bruce grunted, biting his lower lip as a smile was forced out of him.
"Oh, right." Clark was now lightly tickling at the underside of Bruce's left arm, and Bruce was regretting wearing a t-shirt. He never wore t-shirts, why had he chosen to wear one today? (Because Clark asked him to dress casual "Regular people casual, B, not billionaire casual" and Bruce apparently couldn't say no to Clark.) "You can withstand torture, this is probably a piece of cake for you."
Bruce would have loved nothing more than to throw a withering glare Clark's way, but he knew looking at him would make him break. Instead, he chose to snap his eyes shut, thinking he could block out the sensation of Clark's fingers dancing their way over his collarbones.
That decision brought about Bruce's downfall.
Instead of blocking out the sensation, squeezing his eyes shut just amplified the feeling of Clark's fingers gently swirling abstract shapes over Bruce's collarbone. Without thinking, Bruce tried to squirm away from Clark's fingers, slipping down the couch cushions in an attempt to escape.
"Where are you going?" Clark laughed, letting up on his teasing touches.
Bruce cracked an eye open, ready to tell Clark off. His retort died on his lips at the look Clark was giving him. Deciding to finally listen to his fight or flight response, Bruce took off.
Well.
He meant to take off.
Clark chose that moment to become a cheating bastard and used his superspeed to gather Bruce up into his arms.
"Clark, wait-" Clark was sitting on the couch still, but now Bruce was sat between his spread legs, his back pressed firmly to Clark's chest. Clark's arms were wrapped around him in a solid cross body hug that Bruce couldn't wiggle out of.
"For what?" Clark asked, eyes twinkling with mischief as Bruce licked his dry lips.
"Uh-" Was Bruce's eloquent response.
Deciding he'd teased him enough, Clark finally went in for the kill. He dug his fingers into Bruce's ribs, fingers wiggling wildly. All the light and teasing touches from earlier were gone as he made it his mission to pull laughter right out of Bruce's soul.
Bruce tried to fight against his laughter, he really did. He bit his lip, trying to curl his body inwards, but Clark easily held him in place. Once Clark started lightly squeezing his sides Bruce's carefully construed walls came crashing down; though one could argue his walls had come down long ago, since he allowed Clark to get him into this situation in the first place.
"Cla-hahahahaha-ark" Bruce laughed, the dam breaking as deep guttural laughter was pulled from him. He made a sound of protest when Clark squeezed the spot just above his hipbones, his body jerking as much as it could in Clark's arms.
"That's a good spot, huh?" Clark asked, undeterred as Bruce shook his head as laughs wracked his body. He poked and prodded at the spot for a few more seconds, relishing in the sounds it drew out of Bruce, before letting up.
"When's the last time you laughed this hard?" Clark, ever the reporter, asked as he wiggled his fingers into random spots along Bruce's flanks as he let him catch his breath.
"I--don't know." Bruce admitted, squirming as Clark walked his fingers to the front of his stomach and tapped out a pattern on his abs.
"Did you really not know you were ticklish?" Clark asked, switching from poking to lightly scratching the skin through Bruce's t-shirt.
This new sensation caused more laughter to bubble out of Bruce as he clung to Clark's wrists in a desperate attempt to get him to stop. "No." He gasped out, doing his best to squirm away as Clark dared to slip his fingers under Bruce's shirt to tease bare skin.
"No, don't do this; or no, you didn't know?" Clark asked, mentally noting that Bruce easily looked ten years younger when he laughed.
Bruce had a feeling that talking only made the sensations worse, but he also had a sneaking suspicion that Clark wouldn't let up if he didn't answer his questions. "Bo-hahahahahaha-both?!"
It was endearing how Bruce was still trying to answer him, even as he tried to squirm out of his own skin. Clark only wished he could see Bruce's whole face, instead of just glimpses of the sides when Bruce managed to wriggle slightly in his grip.
"Well, what kind of friend would I be if I didn't help you discover your best spots?" Clark asked, switching positions in an actual blink of an eye.
Bruce let out an involuntary gasp as Clark deposited him onto the couch, stretched out on his back, with Clark settling down onto his hips.
"A really good one." Bruce said earnestly, hands held up in front of himself to ward off Clark's wandering fingers. Bruce fought with a smile, eyes sparkling as Clark grinned down at him. "That's enough." He said, trying to channel as much Batman into his voice as he could as he eyed the fingers that were about to descend on him.
"Oh, are we using our hero voices?" Clark asked, stomach somersaulting as Bruce's eyes met his own. "In that case," He switched into his Superman voice "Tell me Batman, does this tickle?"
Bruce laughed at the absurdity of that statement, but then ten fingers descended on his torso and he was laughing for a very different reason.
"You are-" Bruce paused, laughter making it hard to speak as Clark jammed wiggling fingers into his armpits. "--so-hohohohohoho- fu-hahahaahhahahaha-fucking dead!"
"It's cute how you try to keep up that bravado while you're being tickled." Clark's ears turned pink when he realized what he said, and he tickled harder to cover it up.
"I-hihihihihi- i am not cu-hahahahaha-cute, you di-hihihihi-dick!" Apparently, Bruce heard him.
Instead of responding to that, Clark decided to walk his fingers up over Bruce's collarbones. Bruce's shoulders hunched up at the first brush of Clark's fingers against the sensitive skin of his neck.
"Don't! Clark!" Bruce giggled and Clark's whole world came to a screeching halt for a moment. His brain short-circuited, his heart fluttered, and he felt he was in danger of passing out as the captivating sound spilled out of Bruce's mouth.
"Don't what?" Clark asked through numb lips, mesmerized not only by the sounds coming out of Bruce, but also by the pink staining his ears and cheeks.
"Ti-hihihihihi-tickle my neck, you ass!"
That snapped Clark out of his daze, a sharp grin overtaking his face. "I cannot believe you fell for that." He laughed, dancing his fingers along Bruce's neck with renewed vigor.
Bruce was in hell, he was sure of it. Not only was every nerve in his body lit up like he was being electrocuted, in the best possible way, but he was giggling. In front of Clark. The gentle touches felt nice, in a maddening sort of way, but the giggling was mortifying.
Bruce tried pulling Clark's hands away, squirming out from under him, shielding his neck with his own hands, but nothing was working. Clark wouldn't budge, and when Bruce tried blocking his neck Clark just tickled at the shell of his ears. That had made Bruce squeal, and now Clark was zeroed in on them and Bruce thought he was going to go mad, in the best possible way. Every touch felt so good, yet so unbearable. He didn't know how to react, not that he really had any control over his body at this point.
Clark eased up when Bruce's laughter started getting quieter, feeling a small pang of guilt when he noticed the tears gathered at the corners of Bruce's eyes. "You okay?" He asked, resting his hands on Bruce's rapidly heaving chest as he felt his racing heartbeat.
Bruce didn't say anything, squeezing his eyes shut as he fought to get himself back under control.
"Did I go too far?" Clark asked, suddenly doubting himself when Bruce remained quiet, eyes closed, as his breathing evened out. "Shit, Bruce, I'm sorry. I--"
Bruce's eyes snapped open to see Clark hovering over him, a nervous look on his face. Without thinking, Bruce surged up and captured Clark's lips with his own. Clark let out a muffled sound of surprise, causing Bruce to pull back, thinking maybe he had misread the situation.
"Sorry," Bruce said, breathless once again. "I--"
Now it was Clark's turn to cut him off with a kiss. One hand came up to cup the side of Bruce's face, gently holding him in place. Bruce made a noise of encouragement, parting his lips in invitation as Clark deepened the kiss.
When they finally came up for air both men were smiling, cheeks flushed and hair a mess. Clark shifted off Bruce to allow the other man to sit up.
"I've wanted to do that for a long time." Bruce admitted, reaching a hand up to run it through Clark's wild curls.
"Really?" Clark asked, all but melting into the touch.
"You think I'd let just anyone pull that shit?" Bruce asked, amusement sparkling in his eyes.
"I don't see why not, seeing as you can withstand literal torture and all." Clark did a passing imitation of Bruce's voice, and Bruce couldn't help but laugh.
"You're never going to let me live that down, are you?"
"I don't know." Clark had that look again, and Bruce braced himself, feeling a smile already tugging at his lips. "Maybe we should practice, get your skills up to par."
"Clark." Bruce warned, hands coming up to fend him off. "just because I let you do it once, does not mean this is going to be a regular thing."
"Hmmm" Clark hummed, advancing on Bruce who, he noted, made no move to escape as Clark boxed him into the corner of the couch. "You sure about that?" He asked, leaning in and capturing Bruce's lips in a kiss.
"Positive." Bruce breathed when they broke apart.
"What if I did this?" Clark asked, kissing down the column of Bruce's neck. He purposefully dragged his lips over the sensitive skin, feeling Bruce squirm against him as he tried to stop himself from pushing Clark away.
"That's...that's good." Bruce conceded, laughing as Clark gently nibbled at the spot just behind his earlobe.
"And this?" Clark asked, teasing the delicate skin of Bruce's collarbone.
"That's good." Bruce breathed, despite his squirming. His eyes fluttered shut as Clark teased and nibbled.
"But not this?" Clark asked, wiggling his fingers quickly over Bruce's ribs and effectively breaking Bruce out of his stupor.
"No, you ass!" Bruce laughed, once again squirming beneath him and trying to push his hands away.
The night went on like that, with Clark teasing and kissing Bruce in all the right spots, only to start tickling him wildly a second later. Bruce wasn't sure if he loved or hated it, but he knew he never wanted it to stop.

Superman and Lois Episode 2x04
Work has been kicking my butt, but I finally got a chance to watch the episode. Here we go!
——————————————————————
- Hi Jenna! Welcome back!
- Am I right in thinking “she is a parasite” is a callback to the comics? I don’t know anything about Ally Altman other than she’s obviously a cult leader.
- As worried as I am for Lois, I’m kind of glad she has her own villain this season. I know I’ll enjoy watching Lois take her down and save her sister. But not without a heaping dose of angst before that, of course.
- Very cool heat breath for Bizarro
- Always love Clark being a Dad
“Don’t use your super hearing on your mother.”
“But since you did...”
- Lucy, you got some splainin to do! As of now I liked you better when you were on Supergirl.
- Oh my god that mayor NEEDS to go. This guy is treating this like he’s the mayor of Metropolis instead of Smallville. I mean, going after Sarah? That is low.
Tumblr media
- I feel like we need more John and Clark just being dads and bonding over the farm. I’m just waiting for them to start in on the dad jokes.
- This Bizarro is certainly the most creepy looking of the versions. Was that crystal leeching off Superman to power him?
Tumblr media
- Always love Chrissy being an investigative genius!
- LISTEN TO YOUR WIFE, KYLE.
- Yeah, I’m still a little pissed at you, Sarah.
- Oh boy does Candace need to GO. She is a bad influence and SO wrong for just throwing around an “I love you” to get Jon to take freaking drugs!
Tumblr media
- Clark, how can you still not get it! YOU DON’T NEED TO DO EVERYTHING ALONE!!
- Love Jordan starting out just like his dad did by stopping a robbery, but OF COURSE the place has cameras! There he goes, jumping in without looking.
- “Cleaning this up is easier than Candy Crush.”
Seeing Sam golfing was a scene I didn’t know I needed. And he actually offered some sound advice.
- Chrissy can totally pull off a blonde look.
- It’s obvious, but Ally is WEIRD AF.
- Jon, you PUT THAT AWAY!!!! No drugs! Don’t listen to Candace!
Even though he doesn’t have any powers, he is still technically half Kryptonian. So taking X-Kryptonite cannot be good for him. Also, is Jordan even on the football team anymore?
- Natalie is gonna figure it out and lay into her new brother.
- Lucy isn’t looking to good, there. She’s looking... kinda drained.
- Very creepy that all those people turned to Chrissy at once on Ally’s command. Also creepy that Ally already knew who she was. I guess she did her homework.
- LUCY. That was LOW. Blaming your sister for your mother leaving even though she was only 8 and you were even younger? Low blow. Setting up this whole meeting just so you could set up your sister after she saved your freaking life?! Even lower blow. Girl is too far gone. If saving Lucy is gonna be a thing this season, she’s gonna need a hell of a redemption arc and a whole LOT of groveling to do with Lois. I definitely liked her better on Supergirl.
Tumblr media
- Wow. Kyle actually listened to his wife and they had an honest conversation with Sarah. And I can still be pissed at her and admire her strength in that scene, knowing that her “incident” as they’re calling it might be brought up. She handled it well.
- I like seeing more of Tag. And those kids are totally gonna get hurt.
Yup. Bizarro just snapped two of their necks like it was nothing.
Tumblr media
But crap Tag grabbed that crystal. I do NOT want to think about that in Anderson’s hands. Not good.
- Whatever happens, do NOT kill off Irons!! Don’t you dare!
- The kicked puppy look on Clark’s face kills me.
- That mayor is a SLIMEBALL!!
- I totally get why Jordan wants to train his powers and help his dad but we all know that his and Sam’s secret training is gonna be a problem later on.
- KYLE YOU ARE SOBER DO NOT TAKE THAT SHOT!
Of fucking COURSE he cheated on his wife with the bartender. Just when Kyle has a little sliver of decency we find out that he’s a dick all over again. I am not surprised.
Tumblr media
- Ok. Chrissy. I just know she’s smarter than this. First off, this is just one article out of how many hundreds if not thousands Lois has written over the years? Chrissy is a journalist in her own right and regardless of Lois’s involvement she has seen evidence herself that Ally can’t be trusted. I’m really hoping this is Chrissy playing Ally to get more info. I just don’t think Chrissy would be swayed so quickly without looking at every facet of the story. But then again, maybe Ally has some kind of power.
This ep was a doozy! And the next one isn’t until Feb. 22!

My Superman And Lois Fanfics:
So far... (Click on the title to read)
Why (Multichapter)
When Lois finds out she’s pregnant twelve years after the loss of the child they had been so excited to watch grow up, she wonders.
Complete (Multichapter)
An AU on what it would have been like if Lois and Clark hadn't lost Natalie. The early years in several chapters and just what it felt for the Kents to have their family complete.
Home (One shot)
After 1.12 Lois and Clark have time to reflect on being together again.
Love is Worth Fighting for (Multichapter)
Clark never imagined that having lost his mother would set him in yet another path in life he felt he wasn't prepared for: Moving his family to Smallville and having to deal with every challenge that it entailed. Specially when a man called Morgan Edge comes into town with suspicious intentions. Follows storylines for the show but took some liberties, specially adding some more Kent kiddos.
Lonely Hearts (Multichapter)
When Lois Lane moves to Smallville to finish high school, Clark Kent is the first person she meets and the boy just has something about him that intrigues her, ddly enough, Clark seems to have a hard time figuring her out too. This is the story of how the two of them fall in love.
Unprepared (Multichapter)
Natalie Kent's life had become extremely complicated the moment her family moved to Smallville Kansas. She guessed it came with the territory of being part of a Super Family. Even more so after that pod had landed at the farm. None of them had been prepared for what came next, even after everything they had been through. Spoilers up to 1x15.

Erik Valdez via Instagram: TONIGHT on #SupermanAndLois…Lana invites Kyle over for coffee and says, “there’s something I need to tell you…we got renewed for SEASON 3.” Kyle’s like, “congrats…sounds impressive…what does it mean?” Lana struggles to explain. Meanwhile, Clark is minding his own business, checking on his mason jars in the barn when John Henry pulls up like, “uhhh…there something you wanna tell me?” Clark’s like, “yo man, whooo…my super hearing didn’t pick up on you coming in here…bizarre. So yeah, I’ve been running this secret homemade moonshine biz out of the barn to make ends meet, but don’t tell Lo…….” JH shouts, “nah bruh, I don’t care about that…Kyle just texted me saying Lana told him something about a season 3 pick up!?” Crickets. “You need to explain this. NOW! And Nat needs to hear it too!” Into the farmhouse they go…. “Okay guys, look…there’s this whole other world where people all over their world, watch what we do in our world, here in Smallville.” Crickets. “See, what we do here plays out on these electronic boxes every Tuesday at 8/7c, and they laugh, and cry, and gasp…” Natalie’s like, “wait, wait, wait, waaaaiiittt…ANOTHER Earth!?” “Yeah…it’s called Earth Prime Time, and it’s super complicated,” says Clark. “There’s live viewings, then live plus 3’s and 7’s, oh, and streaming…” And as he continues to ramble on about what it all means, Nat just mad dogs him, her confusion drowning it all out. Later that night, she realizes Lois and the boys, were mysteriously absent from the farmhouse while Clark tried to explain it all. “This is super bizarre,” she says. Then, the warm glow of the street light pulls her to the window, and as she ponders what it all means for her future, Alladin’s ‘A Whole New World’ plays us out as the camera pulls and we fade to black…or something like that. 🤔 Episode 208 written by one of my faves, @kriskorzec & @jjbuttercups, and directed by my man, @officialsudzsutherland airs tonight!! Tune in at 8/7c on @thecw!💥

Reactions to Superman and Lois S01E14
OH GOD I AM FINALLY WATCHING THIS. Everyone said it's an emotional one and I am SO HERE FOR IT
Okay, so we left off with Edge shooting out into space to become the Eradicator.
Fast forward 3 weeks — are we going to find out what happened in those days? Domestic Kents is lovely but... 3 weeks.
Open house? And Clark surprised? Guess he's not that so close to Lana anymore...?
Jordan and Sarah getting serious... at 14. I'm sure saying it the 38th time to make "responsible choices" is not gonna help, but as parents they probably can't help it, have to repeat it once hundred times more.
Jon working with John Henry! Yes! (And also, yes to him not being a chaperone. Honestly, they are twins and the same age, I bet he would just go outside if Jordan would want to hit it up with Sarah... instead of stopping them or something. He loves his brother and if Sarah makes him happy, he will not interfere.)
"You're making too much sense" 😂😂 That is a parent who can't even pretend to argue anymore. Love dad Clark 🥺
Whoops, Sam is upset and this time rightfully so. He just can't seem to do the right thing, whether it is protecting Smallville or keeping Clark's secret.
Lana is Clark's best friend yet they haven't talked in a while. In a small town. I feel like this is a bit forced, even if they don't talk daily, they would run into each other more. Lois said 4 small businesses closed down. The number of shops in Smallville is shrinking, slowly it'll be one store, and that way you can't avoid people lol
Jordan is too cute, all hearteyes. And Sarah knowing what he meant, aww!
I wish we could see more of Wolé. He's really good in this role. Even if John Henry was just a dick to Jon, sending him off to bit bother him 😢
And Chrissy is selling the Gazette 😭
WAIT has Edge been in space for 3 WEEKS? The fuck...? 😅
Clois moment, aw yiss 😍
I like Kyle and Lana. I want them to be happy 🥺
Okay, the football dudes were nice, I just feel bad about everyone shitting on the Cushings.
I like that Lois and Sam finally gave some details to the people.
Uh oh. Derek Powell's mother and her proof. 😓
Aww Tamera supporting Kyle is nice. A tad late, but at least he got a referral and her support.
Oiiii. "You have no idea what it's like to lose a child." Well, Lois does. And yay for showing Clark's face, too, because it wasn't only Lois who lost Natalie, they both went through it.
Edge and Larr in Metropolis. Like in John Henry's Earth.
Jon and Jordan are 14. "Grab a drink." Damn, starting early. And Jordan not answering General Lane. Oops.
The Cushings are not leaving? Yay!
Fuck, they are leaving. 😭 And Sarah flipping out, damn, girl! Ripping the parents a new one.
IT IS STARTING, YUUUSSS. New Kryptonians. And Lois will report on it ahdghahajahdjau
"Telling me after doesn't help" JOHN 🤣😂
Clark has more stubble in this scene as Superman, and I can't focus on anything but the fact that his facial hair changed when he put the suit on 😂
The hammer is offline! 😱
That is a huge party these 14-year-olds are having. In other movies this is what a college party looks like, not a bunch of kids who just started high school.
TELL HER, JON. She tried to get information out of you. She moved from Central City, her dad is in prison 👀
LOIS IS STANDING EXACTLY WHERE SHE WAS KILLED IN JOHN HENRY'S VIDEO. AND HE SAVED HER!
And Edge is gone. Again. 😬
Big love confessions. And swearing to do long distance. At 14 😬
Shit, car accident. And Jon's right arm is injured again.
And Edge took Jordan. Finally getting exciting.
He's making Jordan the Eradicator or what? Nooooo, it is god damn Zeta-Rho 😂😂😂😂 I was hoping we would not have to hear from him ever again.

The American black comedy crime thriller A Simple Favor was released in 2018, and its cast members in it are extremely recognizable. The film, directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay written by Jessica Sharzer, is a suspenseful story based on the 2017 novel of the same name, written by Darcey Bell. The movie stars Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the main roles, among other notable actors in supporting roles. The plot centers on a small-town video blogger who attempts to solve the mystery behind her friend's disappearance.
A Simple Favor was released by Lionsgate, and the movie garnered critical praise upon its theatrical release. Most critics praised the chemistry of the ensemble cast, and also wrote enthusiastically about the movie's shocking plot twists and turns. The film ended up making $5.9 million on its first day alone, and grossed a total of $97 million worldwide, on a budget of only $20 million.

Indeed, the movie has an impressive cast led by its main stars, Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Linda Cardellini are some of the supporting cast members, as well as Jean Smart, Rupert friend, Eric Johnson, and Dustin Milligan, among other actors.
Tumblr media
Blake Lively takes on the role of Emily Nelson, Hope McLanden, and Faith McLanden in A Simple Favor, and her character's life is the most interesting part of the film. Viewers know Lively from teen movies The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Accepted, Simon Says, and other early-aughts flicks. Later, she appeared in movies ranging from New York, I Love You to The Town to superhero flick Green Lantern, which she starred in alongside her future husband Ryan Reynolds. In more recent years, Lively has appeared in The Age of Adaline, The Shallows, Café Society, and All I See Is You.
Following her success with A Simple Favor, Lively starred in the movie The Rhythm Section in 2020 alongside actors Jude Law and Sterling K. Brown. The movie follows a grieving woman who goes on a destructive path for revenge after learning that the plane crash that killed her family was actually a terrorist attack. To date, that is Lively's most recent role. From 2007 - 2012, of course, Lively starred as Serena van Der Woodsen in the hit show Gossip Girl, for which she won several accolades.
Tumblr media
Like Lively, actress Anna Kendrick, who portrays Stephanie Smothers in A Simple Favor, has been working in Hollywood for several years. She first became a familiar face for her role as Jessica Stanley in the Twilight movies. Following the franchise's end, Kendrick began to take on different roles. She played Natalie Keener in Up In The Air, Janet Taylor in End of Watch and voiced Courtney Babock in ParaNorman. In 2012, Kendrick reached full stardom for playing Becca Mitchell in the popular movie Pitch Perfect. After that, Kendrick appeared in a slew of movies from 2013 until A Simple Favor in 2018, including  What to Expect When You're Expecting, Drinking Buddies, Cake, Into the Woods, the two Pitch Perfect sequels, and The Accountant. She also appeared in the movies Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and voiced a character in Trolls.

Following her turn as Stephanie in A Simple Favor, Kendrick played Kendra Glack in the 2019 movie The Day Shall Come and portrayed Noelle Kringle in the holiday movie Noelle, released the same year. She also reprised her role in Trolls for the movie's 2020 sequel.
Tumblr media
Andre Rannells, who plays Darren in A Simple Favor, began his career in television. He voiced characters on children's shows, like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, as a kid, and the early aughts also saw his break into theater. He had numerous roles on the stage, and in 2011 played Elder Kevin Price in The Book of Mormon as an original cast member. Superman & Lois: Inside the Season’s Big Twists and that Finale Ending
https://ift.tt/3ANytYo
This article contains major Superman & Lois spoilers. Don’t read until you’ve seen all of season one!
Superman & Lois Episode 15
The Superman & Lois season finale, “Last Sons of Krypton,” has finally arrived and it’s as big as you might expect. For a series that started off teasing lots of family drama and that eschewed the traditional Metropolis setting for the (theoretically) friendlier confines of Smallville, it was full of blockbuster-scale action in the second half of its 15 episode run.
“Last Sons of Krypton” effectively wraps up the season’s blockbuster elements in its first two acts or so, before offering a series of codas that tie up nearly everyone’s arcs with a sense of finality usually reserved for a series finale, not just a season one. Well, with one major exception, of course.
And when you think about the journey this season took viewers on, that’s a lot to wrap up. From the Captain Luthor is actually John Henry Irons twist to the Morgan Edge is really Superman’s Kryptonian half-brother concept and everything else in between, the first season of Superman & Lois was unlike any Man of Steel tale we had seen before. It’s something that showrunner Todd Helbing says came out of an early desire to tell a “different” Superman story.
“There was nothing that was off limits,” Helbing says. “It was kind of like, we’re going to do this. Let’s just swing for the fences, and hopefully we connect on a couple of these.”
Let’s take a look at some of those big characters and concepts the show tackled in its first season, and talk about that multiverse-shattering ending.
JOHN HENRY IRONS
Those “big swings” Helbing alludes to came early on. The initial “Captain Luthor” reveal wasn’t supposed to be a fake out at all, and the idea that he was really John Henry Irons from an alternate Earth came along organically during the writing process.
“When we watched the first cut of the second episode, we knew that there was something missing that you could feel in the pilot,” Helbing says. “So we wrote a few new scenes and then a couple more for episodes three and four. From there on it kind of snowballed, and we brought up a lot of stuff that we were going to do later, and we paced up the show. I think when the John Henry Iron’s idea came, it sort of gave us this confidence, because we knew that it if we could keep it a secret, that it was really going to work.”
The secret was kept, and virtually all online speculation about the nature of Captain Luthor was proven wrong. And in the process Wolé Parks became the definitive live action version of beloved DC Comics hero Steel.
MORGAN EDGE, TAL-RHO, AND SUPERMAN’S BROTHER
Unlike the Captain Luthor/Steel thing, however, Helbing and company knew going in that Morgan Edge was going to turn out to be the malevolent Kryptonian Tal-Rho, and specifically that Tal-Rho would be Superman’s biological half-brother.
“That was part of the pitch,” Helbing says, before clarifying that not all of these elements were set in sunstone from the outset. “There were some things, some twists and turns…a lot of it was the writers and talking to Greg. The staff that I get to work with every day, they’re really talented people who love Superman, and we all just really clicked, so it was great.”

With Tal-Rho there are surprises within surprises, as DC TV shows aren’t known for creating original villains for a season’s big bad.
“We knew we wanted to tell a mythology that hadn’t been told in live action with Tal-Rho being the half-brother,” he says. “It was really just, how do we pace this reveal out?”
But Edge/Tal-Rho, despite being both unpleasant and immensely powerful (a perfect recipe for villainy) is an almost tragic figure, especially when compared to other supervillains.
“It would have been pretty easy for him to just become a mustache-twirling villain,” Helbing says. “But on our show, we want everybody to have a point of view, whether the audience agrees with them or not, and this includes our villains…The villain part of it is great, but it doesn’t mean anything unless you understand where they’re coming from, you can get into the emotion of it. And I think him being related to Kal-El and just all of his pains and struggle, that’s really where it worked.”
THE ERADICATOR
Despite the fact that Tal-Rho himself is an original character created for TV, the character eventually evolved into another important figure in Superman lore: The Eradicator, perhaps best known to fans as one of the “replacement Supermen” who appeared in the wake of the Man of Steel’s death at the hands of Doomsday.
But it turns out that the Eradicator wasn’t part of the plan, initially. Edge, of course, was taking humans and infusing them with Kryptonian souls and powers, turning them into “subjekts,” and there was one in particular who was going to tower over the others.
“Originally we started laying out these ‘subjekts’,” Helbing says. “We were going to build up the Subjekt-17, but it became very apparent that we weren’t just going to do 16 subjekts in a season.”
(NOTE: Subjekt-17 was a villain who only made a handful of appearances in the comics, an alien baby discovered by the Soviets and held in stasis for decades, before eventually wreaking havoc on Superman and friends. It’s part of an unfairly overlooked Superman storyline by Kurt Busiek, Carlos Pacheco, and Jesus Merino, and you should check it out. But I digress…)
Once the Subjekt-17 concept became unworkable, the Eradicator’s name arose.
“The Eradicator was brought up pretty early on, but that was one of the elements where like, okay, we’re going to see how this plays out and how we’re going to be able to make this land the best way,” he says.
Of course, bringing the distinctive comics look of the Eradicator to the small screen brings its own challenges.
“When you look at some of the art of the Eradicator, you’re like, how do we translate this? Do we give him Ray-Bans or something?” Then we just kicked that idea around and came up with the way he is in the show. I think it’s pretty cool.”
LOIS LANE AND JORDAN KENT
But amidst all the Kryptonian fighting and love for Superman lore, the finale’s highlight is the moment where Elizabeth Tulloch’s Lois Lane pulls Jordan Elsass’ Jonathan Kent back from the brink, after his personality has been “eradicated” by the soul of Tal-Rho’s evil father. Lois does what we’ve seen her do several times this season, which is (with the help of some Kryptonian tech this time) help Jordan “push through his darkness” in an emotional scene that’s as triumphant as any bit of high-flying action we’ve seen throughout the season.
For Helbing and the Superman & Lois writers, it was a moment that happened naturally when working on the final two episodes of the season.
“That stuff was all kind of by the seat of our pants,” Helbing says. “We knew emotionally what needed to happen. We knew the sort of format and structure that we wanted to do in episode 14, two acts of family setup, town drama, get all that stuff up and running and then it was four acts of action. But episode 15 starts with four acts of action, and then ends with two acts of the emotional landing. But that one particularly, there was just a lot of [writers] Kristi [Korzec], Mike [Narducci], Brent [Fletcher], me, and Greg [Berlanti]. Where are the places that we have to land emotionally? Let’s build the story around that, which we did.”
NATALIE IRONS RETURNS
The episode doesn’t quite wrap up everyone’s emotional arcs. We’ve known for some time that Irons is still dealing with his feelings for Lois, even as he has accepted that this isn’t the same Lois he was married to on his world. Just as he seems to have made peace with the notion of moving on, and that he can’t stay with the Kents any longer, the multiverse throws everyone quite a curveball…as a mysterious craft falls out of the sky and reveals John’s daughter Natalie Irons (Tayler Buck) has somehow survived and made her way to this world.
Helbing won’t give many details yet on what to expect for Natalie Irons in Superman & Lois Season 2, but he  does reveal that they’ve already written the season premiere.
“We knew Nat was going to show up, and we knew we wanted her in the show, because we want to explore a new family dynamic,” he says. “I’ll just say, in season two, there’s a lot that everybody is dealing with, having to get used to new members of a family, I’ll just put it that way.”
We’ll have more from Todd Helbing about Superman & Lois Season 2 soon!
