He and I are both avid readers, so we talk about books a lot. He walked past me today and saw me reading. He leaned over to my right and asked about the book. Later on in the conversation, he mentioned that I had read The Bell Jar. I don't remember telling him about that... so he saw me reading it and paid attention 🥹

honestly i think this job might be the closest thing there is to my ‘ideal’ job
living abroad
actually get to use my tl
utilising my love of language and linguistics
utilising my performing skills
kids think i’m hilarious (they’re right)
teaching the same lessons for a whole month so i only really have to do lesson prep for each one once
different places every week = different classes every week = lots of variety even though i’m literally teaching the same lesson 3-4 times a week
variety of ages and abilities
great work-life balance
rarely see my colleagues (not that i dislike them bc honestly they’re great i’m just introverted)
basically no need for anyone to contact me outside of working hours
i see mountains on my commute (and just. anytime bc i live in a city surrounded by mountains aaaah <3)
health insurance and pension and dental and all that jazz included
