My Guideline to Writing ✍🏽

1. NSFW Content: While I occasionally explore NSFW themes, my content leans towards the vanilla side. Any story I write that is NSFW will be labeled as 18+.

2. Smut Writing: Despite my username, I tend to steer away from explicit smut writing. I am open to oral r + g or 🖐🏽jobs but beyond that I am not really comfortable with writing. I mainly prefer more fluff, mature and angst based writing.

3. Canon Ships: I'm open to writing about already established canon ships, but if there's a particular pairing you'd like to see explored, don't hesitate to ask! I'm always open to new ideas and interpretations.

4. I prefer to write from the perspective of a main character (MC) rather than using the "reader" format. I have tried writing using reader but it's confusing for me, I am familiar with "y/n" but considering the history of that word in my days of reading fanfics I don't use that format either.

5. As a black writer, I value diversity and aim to reflect this in my stories. You'll find characters of various races and ethnicities in my masterlist, including Black MCs, White MCs, Latina MCs, Asian MCs, and Middle Eastern MCs. Authentic representation is important to me, and I try to strive for accurate portrayals of people from different backgrounds respectfully.

6. I'm relatively new to posting on Tumblr, and I have a life outside of the internet. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as I navigate this platform and find my footing.

Seeing how this blog is probably going to hit a major follower milestone soon and based on the most recent asks I've gotten, I thought it fitting to talk a little about how I handle:

Fanfic and Fanart Requests

As you know, my fanfic and fanart request box (aka, my ask box) is always open to everyone's ideas. I read your requests frequently and think about how to fulfill them to the best of my abilities. But, there are some conditions that make it more likely for me to pay attention to them.

I pick and choose and prioritize the ones I'm most excited about. Don't take this "ranking" personally. Whenever I have time and am in the mood to draw, I take a look into my ask box and see what stands out to me at that very moment.

My blog and its entire content are 100% self-indulgent. I do what I want when I want it. That's why I treat requests as suggestions and allow myself all creative freedom when I handle them. Should anyone ever be "disappointed" in what I did with their request, please be aware that I make zero money from this, and requests are not commissions.

My ask box is chronically full of new and old ideas. There are even some requests from the very beginning of this blog I haven't tackled yet because my goals for them are too ambitious for the little time I've got.

Now we tread into the psychological territory of how to phrase requests.

It's always nice if they include why you want me to draw a certain thing. An anecdote of how you found this blog, why you like it, or my art, makes my emotional heart beat faster and more likely to consider the request "worthy."

It also helps if they aren't sent on anon. I guess many of you out there don't have an account of your own, but anonymous asks easily blend together in my head and become indistinguishable from each other, the good and the bad. And for all I know, the requests I get could be from one single person.

These are my circumstances, and I hope you understand them to some extent. Please know that I can't give everyone a definite answer of when or if I'll get to their requests.

✨Welcome to my tumbler ✨

I just wanted to talk about the types of stories I post and some potential warnings.

So what I write is a character x an oc version of Y/n basically. Or character x reader meaning the reader of the fan fiction so the reader can invisinon themselves in y/ns shoes. (Y/n basically means your name but my versions of y/n are Typically their own character)

Most if not all of my y/ns or 'reader' is female.

And some warnings. I do talk about suggestive themes but primarily dark themes such as depression abuse and self harm, possible death implied, arguments or relationship problems. All of these things are considered 'angst' and if you're uncomfortable with these things there's probably going to be a warning on that fic in particular. As of now I don't necessarily take requests but I *might* take ideas for fics with certain characters into consideration. I would also consider character suggestions but nothing is Guaranteed and I have to know the character.

And you can request a pt 2 to pre existing fan fictions

Please note. I enjoy writing angst because of the comfort aspects it could bring to people. (Also I just enjoy angst) but my fics are all just fiction and to those who might know me personally do not take it seriously 😶

By 'suggestive themes' I mean that I might consider writing adult fanfictions (NSFW) meaning minors shouldn't read it. And to any one that might know me personally I would prefer you not read it. As of now I don't have any 'inappropriate' fanfictions. But I am considering writing for 🔞 head canons.

I might have a few suggestive themes in a few of my fan fictions where something *adult* may be implied.

Also some of my fanfictions are LGBTQ+ some is female x female character or trans. Homophobia will not be tolerated on my account.

This mainly just applies to anyone who may know me personally. My fanfictions are something I'd prefer remain private but if you're chill then welcome to my tumbler 🤗

In a recent staff post, tumblr staff said that only a quarter of tumblr is lgbtq, and I don’t think anyone’s really convinced of those numbers. Ik this post might not reach that many people but…

(Edit: oh my god guys ik the results are biased okay?? Unfortunately that’s just how polls work. Check my reblog tho gay, was literally the 2nd most trending tag last night. Even if you refuse to believe the statistical literacy of this poll you can still observe that tumblr is still largely very gay compared to the average social media. I talk more about this in a reblog but god. I get it. Polls have never been that good at gathering unbiased results)

An Unsexy Post About Censorship

Sooo...gumroad is shutting down NSFW content sales because of Stripe and Paypal. This is also why Wishtender has been down as well, if you weren't aware. And why Patreon is also cracking down on anything remotely kinky.

(If you're wondering why your favorite FICTIONAL sexual content isn't allowed on most platforms, it's payment processors.)

Please be extra kind to anyone who works with NSFW content right now, whether it be art, writing, audio, photos or video. Whether it be tasteful erotica, or the kinkiest BDSM porn you can think of, we're all in the crosshairs right now.

And, judging by trends from these past few years, this is only going to get worse.

Support NSFW creators where you can, whether by tipping or buying our content (where you still can) or just helping boost content on sites where algorithms want to drown us out.

Call representatives where you can and complain about payment processors acting as arbiters of what YOU are and aren't allowed to pay for and enjoy.

This may be about porn right now, but censorship of this caliber doesn't just stop with porn. Any transgressive (read: non-conservative) media is fair game.

Fight against it where you can. Support creators where you can.

Art is important. Reflections of our sexuality are important. We don't want a world where people aren't free to make or see the things they love and enjoy.
