noa could swear this wasn't her life. how many people could actually say they'd been double booked into an airbnb with a total stranger? the neighborhood didn't seem safe and she'd gotten there too late to just look for something else. she had never been to the area. never been to the city. she was just there to interview for a new job and maybe get a new life. she desperately needed to get a new life. thoughts like those consumed her as she looked at the ceiling, unable to blink herself into sleep and already having tried every possible thing to help her drift off. noa ventured into searching for her unexpected roommate on social media, though, before even actively starting, the idea left her iffy—had they maybe done the same to her? how would she feel about it if it was true? despite her instagram being a privated account, she could easily be found on linkedin where they could see she was a nice person. or at least that she was an intelligent one. either way, she wouldn't really care for it, after all, how much of a solid conclusion could she get of someone by looking at their accounts?

groaning inwardly, she decided the best way to get to know someone was to ask them, and judging by the light coming from under her door, it meant they were up, which meant, she could at least try to calm some of her thoughts if she was upfront with them. getting up, she put on a hooding and some sweat pants before heading to the living room, where the light was coming from. putting both her hands inside the front pockets of her hoodie—to prevent her nervous fidgeting, mostly—noa cleared her throat to get their attention. "so, i know we might have come off on the wrong foot with the whole double booking thing, but before i actively stalk you on social media to know whether you're a murderer or not—" she joked, or at least she hoped she could pass it off as a joke, "i thought we might actually get to know each other. twenty questions with some wine? think i saw some back in the kitchen."

Probably my favorite mclennon fic of all time. Paul dresses up in ladies clothes and lingerie so that it’s not gay when John fucks him. Incomparable. They’re both so dense in this but there’s so much love there. A healthy dash of angst makes this a full meal of a fic. I’ve reread it a dozen times at least!
