lowkey obsessed and kinda hyper-fixating on NPMD rn, but it's also making me feel badly nostalgic for some older Starkid shows....mainly Starship, my favorite show of theirs still so no surprise there lol. Sadly alot of the old shows of theirs (understandably) don't get the same kind of attention as the new musicals-unless it's something like the AVPM trilogy. Obviously, I get it, yknow, their newer stuff has more sincere and original stories to get attached to, and well, they are NEW...
But also I need more starship fanfics right neow

Well, I'm back on the Weird Tarot Project! I'll finish it, one day. Seventeen done, only, what, at least fifty to go? Ah.
Anyway! Time for the Hanged Man, alias, in this version, Aaron Burr. Sir.
Tumblr media
First Hamilton character on that project! He is my favorite, after all. But, but, you may think, fellow person who does not know what the hell tarot is about- why The Hanged Man?
Well, well, well. Let's start with upright. That card is here to remind you that, sometimes, you have to put things on hold before you take the next step (that you have, you know, to wait for it :D). It may also mean that your projects may be coming to an unexpected and abrupt halt, like, for example, when one Hamilton endorse a certain Jefferson instead of you. At last, it can mean that you are feeling stuck with your life. For all of this, the lesson is the same: accept the pause, the hold, as an occasion to reflect on yourself, and wait for it.
Don't go shooting your best friend between the ribs, for example.
Tumblr media
In reverse, tho, indicates that you feel like other people (mostly Hamilton, right) are responsible for the hold you projects are being submitted to. It also means that your are often content to wait around, that you realize the situation will evolve and you cannot rush it. But beware, Burr-like-person, as you should not want to wait forever; you should acknowledge that there will come a time when you must decide (and well, please don't shoot your best friend). Therefore, the Hanged Man Reversed signals that you are stalling a decision or a action, waiting to be perfectly ready- which you will never be. It encourages you to take the leap! Which Burr did.
A bit too late.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you read all that, you are now one of my favourite people ever. I hope the drawing pleases you, btw!

When Do The Good Things START?!!!
Tumblr media
You're a Good Man Charlie Brown is mostly my favorite musical since it's literally based on the classic & yet funniest comic strips in newspapers of all time THE PEANUTS. For Today's Musical AU I've decided to draw this sketch involving on some characters, Here's the cast down below.
Snoopy - Captain Barnacles Bear
Charlie Brown - Miles Callisto
Sally Brown - Luna Girl(Daytime Self & If become a good person)
Lucy Van Pelt - Princess Amber
Linus Van Pelt - Greg/Gekko
Schroeder - Captain Jake
Note: I'm still considered why did I had a polar bear/an adult to play a famous dog and hanging around with a couple of kids, but I hope he could sing very well and dance too. Hope you might like this AU...

Layla Veillon and Alexander Brandys, You Will Be Found || JGP Courchevel 2022
#layla veillon#alexander brandys#fskateedit#jgp courchevel 2022#sorry this is SO late but i've been thinking abt this program for weeks#like for technique.. look at the curve lift! and the second row gifs of the stsq#but also this is just a genius concept for a junior fd#obv the song in context of the musical is deeply disturbing and i have very real issues with deh as a whole but#as a standalone piece it's just straightforward and heartwarming. a little performative but without sacrificing any of its sincerity#and its perfect because theyre not trying to present themselves as 'almost seniors' by trying to act or be dramatic or mature#bc for gods sake this is their junior debut#but theyre also not going for a childlike or kitchy progam or just borrowing a warhorse without really interpreting it#like it takes the limits of their expression and polish (as nervous first year juniors fresh to the intl field)#that theyre probably not rlly able to present much more beyond honesty and dedication and finishing their movements#and turns that into a strength! like there IS no other acceptable way to approach a dear evan hansen program#(can you imagine a senior team... trying to skate to this....)#(they would get laughed out of the room)#for them its an easier presentation than anything else that would be memorable#and for the audience it is memorable! because of how disarmingly simple and meaningful and earnest it is in all its teenagedness#idk man i watched this live and almost cried. then got angry at myself for getting emotional over dear#evan hansen. then watched the on ice perspectives video and cried again#like it just breathes... the changes of edge in the ofst... the pause before the character step...#AND the ability to use one piece for the whole program despite the music tempo change restriction!!#genius im in love cannot wait to see how this develops

When Tina Turner left her first husband - who was also her boss, captor, and brutal tormentor - she snuck out of their Dallas hotel room with a single thought in her mind: "The way out is through the door." From there she fled across the midnight freeway, semi-trucks careening past her, with 36 cents and a Mobil gas card in her pocket. As soon as she decided to walk out that door, she owned nothing else. When she filed for divorce, she made an unusual request. She didn't want anything: not the song rights, not the cars, not the houses, not the money. All she wanted was the stage name he gave her - Tina - and her married name - Turner. This was the name by which the world had come to know her, and keeping it was her only chance to salvage her career. Things could have gone a lot of ways from there. She could have labored in obscurity for decades, maybe making records on small labels to be prized by vinyl connoisseurs in Portland. She could have stayed in Vegas, where she first went to get her chops back up, and worked as a nostalgia act. And, of course, given what she had been through, she might have … not made it. What happened instead is that Tina Turner became the biggest global rock star of the 80s. I'm old enough to barely remember this, but if you aren't, it was like this: The Rolling Stones would headline a stadium one day, and the next day it would be Tina Turner. A middle-aged Black woman - she became a rock star at 42! - sitting atop the 1980s like it was her throne. She managed this because of whatever rare stuff she was made of (this is a woman whose label gave her two weeks to record her solo debut, Private Dancer, which went five times platinum); because she decided to speak publicly about her abusive marriage and forge her own identity, and in doing so give hope and courage to countless women; and also because - in a perhaps unlikely twist for a girl from Nutbush, Tennessee - she had her practice of Soka Gakkai Nichiren Buddhism, to which she credited her survival. She remained devout until the end. Tina's second marriage - to her, her only marriage - was to Edwin Bach, a Swiss music executive 16 years her junior. Of him, she said, "Erwin, who is a force of nature in his own right, has never been the least bit intimidated by my career, my talents, or my fame." In 2016, after a barrage of health problems, Tina's kidneys began to fail. A Swiss citizen by then, she had started preparing for assisted suicide when her husband stepped in. According to Tina, he said, "He didn't want another woman, or another life." He gave her one of his kidneys, buying her the remainder of her time on this earth and perhaps closing a cycle which took her from a man who inflicted injury upon her to a man willing to inflict injury upon himself to save her from harm. Born into a share-cropping family as Anna Mae Bullock in 1939, she died Tina Turner in a palatial Swiss estate: the queen of rock 'n roll; a storm of a performer with a wildcat-fierce voice; a dancer of visceral, spine-tingling potency and ability; a beauty for the ages; a survivor of terrible abuse and an advocate for others in similar situations; an author and actress; a devout Buddhist; a wife and mother; a human being of rare talent and perseverance who, through her transcendent brilliance, became a legend.

Steve grows up playing piano, absolutely hates it, but is so good at it. His parents aren’t around enough by the time he’s a teen to force him to his practices, so he slowly stops going.
His music teacher happens to be Robin’s mom, who studied at Juilliard, and traveled for nearly a decade with various orchestras and bands before settling down with her husband in Hawkins.
She can see what’s going on with Steve from day one, but knows better than to interfere.
Until he quits.
She can’t stand by and let someone so musically gifted give it up.
She shows up at his house with a violin, her own violin that she hadn’t used in years.
He’s hesitant at first, but decides to give it a try as long as she doesn’t tell his parents. The last thing he wants is for them to find out he picked up a new instrument.
She can’t give him official lessons, so she shows up to his house twice a week and hopes that he practices in his own time.
He’s a natural.
He takes to it like a duck to water.
She encourages him to perform in a local talent show, all kids under 18, most of them not half as talented as he is.
He only agrees when she says she’ll be front row.
And sure enough, for once in his life, someone shows up when they say they will. She’s sitting front row with her husband on one side and her daughter on the other. She smiles as he takes the stage, nervous about people who know him seeing him and reporting back to his parents.
He performs with heart, something he lacked with the piano. He performs with talent, something he may have with any instrument he picks up.
But most importantly, he plays with a smile. He’s having fun.
He sticks around to watch some of the other people performing: Tammy Thompson singing a very out of tune rendition of America The Beautiful, some kid from one of his classes playing piano miserably, and some band performing very loud, very angry music.
Steve wins, and for once, it feels better than when he wins at a swim meet or basketball game.
He spends the next three years secretly practicing, only performing in shows out of town, never saying anything to his parents.
He doesn’t want them to ruin this for him.
He applies to Juilliard, not thinking he has a chance in hell, not with his academic grades.
Luckily, they see that he’s “exceptional with the strings” and “plays with emotion that can’t be trained.”
He gets in.
He goes.
He thinks he may actually be able to do this, use a gift he has to make his life better.
His parents even find it acceptable, mostly because he got into the best school he could have. They still don’t bother showing up for his shows, but Mrs. Buckley always finds a way.
In his sophomore year, Robin gets in, and they both move into a small apartment off campus together. He promised to look out for her.
She tells him that music wasn’t really her passion, she was just good with a trumpet. She really wanted to be an engineer.
In his junior year, Robin transfers to Columbia, starts doing what she really wanted to do from the start. He’s proud of her, but misses having someone on campus during the day to have lunch with.
Until he stumbles, literally, into someone vaguely familiar.
“Sorry, man. Running late.”
Steve pats the man on the shoulder and turns to get to his class when the man stops him.
“Harrington? You’re a student here?”
He turns back and finally recognizes the man in front of him.
“Munson? When did you get here?”
“I got in this year. Kinda fucked up my first audition last year and they were kind enough to give me another shot.” Eddie smiled. “What on earth are you here for?”
“Violin. You?”
“Guitar and songwriting.”
“That’s great, man. I’m just really running late. Catch up soon?”
Soon was two weeks later, when Steve ran into Eddie again while leaving class.
“We should probably stop running into each other like this,” Eddie smirked. “The universe is trying to tell us something.”
“What’s it trying to tell us?”
“Not sure. Maybe we should go grab dinner and find out.”
“Now?”
“Why not? Got better plans?”
Steve thought about how Robin was barely at the apartment due to studying for midterms. He thought about how his only other friend from here was busy rehearsing for their senior showcase.
“Nah. Let me bring this home first,” he held up his violin case. “Actually.”
Steve was on a budget. His parents gave him money, sure, but they thought he was living on campus so the money they sent covered rent and groceries and nothing else.
“I could make dinner. If you want?”
“Steve Harrington cooks? And plays violin?” Eddie fake swooned. “Be still my beating heart. How will I not be seduced?”
Steve rolled his eyes. He remembered Eddie’s dramatics from school and knew better than to feed into them.
“I can make some spaghetti. Nothing fancy.”
“Spaghetti sounds great,” Eddie’s fake swoon turned to a soft smile. “You want some help?”
Steve didn’t need help, usually didn’t even want any.
But something about the way his stomach dipped when Eddie stepped closer, and the way he thought about having Eddie in his apartment, made him agree.
“Sure.”
They walked to Steve’s apartment in a comfortable silence, though Eddie kept tapping the back of his fingers against Steve’s hand.
Eddie fit next to Steve. They cooked together, they ate together, they even managed to clean up together. It was easy to find something to talk about. He’d never clicked with anyone like this, not even Robin.
By the time Robin came home, Steve and Eddie were both passed out on the couch, fingers laced together as if they hadn’t been brave enough to do anything more before they fell asleep.
By morning, Steve’s head was on Eddie’s shoulder, Eddie’s arm wrapped around him loosely.
Waking up to a soft kiss on his lips was something Steve couldn’t have imagined when he first ran into Eddie, but he was pretty glad it was how he started his day.
And almost every day after that, whether he woke up to a kiss, or met up with Eddie on campus for a kiss, he started his day with love on his lips.
