I know my mom's in pain, but what she doesn't get to do is be disrespectful.

My mom's surgery for her Achilles heel is next Friday. The week is going too slow. She yelled at me for leaving the printer on. I tried to print something and she got mad at me. When I said, "You messed it up," she started yelling to unplug the printer. Mind you, this printer is only a few months old, and I bought it with my money. I thought she was going to get physical with me before I unplugged the printer and plugged it back in. I know that you're in pain, Mom. What you don't do is yell at everyone and be disrespectful. Frankly, I'm tired of turning the other cheek with her. Hopefully, when my friend's mom can help me get my waiver so I can get the hell out of dodge. I love my mother, but I don't want to be around her if she's just going to be rude and disrespectful. It's becoming clear that we need to distance ourselves for a while. I don't know how that will work seeing as I don't have a driver's license or car, but I may have to distance myself from my family for a while.

My cousin's baby shower is next Sunday.

She wants the highland cow blanket for her son. I'm afraid of cows, but I'll get it for her, but I'ma sneak a horse blanket in there, too. Especially, since the Kentucky Derby, the first of the Triple Crown races, is the day before.

There were certain genres of books that Adam enjoyed, now that Belle was around. Before, he wouldn't care about what was on his shelf. Now, that Belle has shown him the wonders of literacy, he can enjoy them again.

Once again, my dream horse gets away from me.

It was a distance issue. Where I live in Pennsylvania is too far from the farm, and the Sisters aren't able to meet us halfway.

So my mom needs surgery on her foot again.

This time, it's her Achilles heel that will be operated on. Her orthopedist wanted to give her time to heal from her first operation for her foot, back in September. She has a lot of torn ligaments in her Achilles heel and still has a bone spur back there.

So, the place I'm getting my miniature horse from is run by nuns.

I was baptized Catholic, but I stopped going to church in the 3rd grade. Churches make me nervous. The last church I went to was this year for my cousin's funeral. I want to make a good impression. I don't wear a t-shirt that would be considered offensive to them when picking up my miniature horse. Should I wear a dress with boots and put my hair up nicely? It's supposed to rain on Wednesday anyway.

Belle's enthusiasm for this new story excited Adam in his own way. He couldn't wait to read it.

My family is so close to losing their titles from me.

My parents will lose the title of "Mom" and "Dad," and be referred to as Jackie and Luis. My aunts who are her biological sisters will be referred to by their first names as well. Same with my one uncle. My aunt by marriage is the only one who will keep her title as "Aunt Jen." She hasn't done me wrong in the past few years. My biological aunts have. I don't know if I want to speak to most of them anyway. They are overly opinionated, and they make my mother do what they think is best for me when two of them are younger than her! I'm fucking done.
