First off, it's today so Eid Mubarak! Second, I'm so so late in watching this one. I've had to stay off of Tumblr and everywhere else just to avoid spoilers since Wednesday but here we are and here we go. I'm kinda excited to see if my theory from last week is what happens or not 🤞

Also, literal CHILLS as the newscaster mentioned bloody trains arriving at their destination. That used to be one of the most common things my grandparents (both paternal and maternal) used to mention about the partition. People used to leave under the cover of the night to avoid attacks

the partition.

ok first of all im not indian or pakistani, im sri lankan. so i dont know much about the partition BUT i know the struggle of being under the british rule cuz my country was also invaded by british for over a hundred years. and lemme tell ya it was bloody, lot of dirty politics and LOT OF innocent people died. in conclusion british rule messed up south asian countries ALOT.

so as i said idk alot bout the partition but dude.... watching it in ms marvel was hard, like i know this was real and having lived through a 30 yr long civil war.... it was triggering. BUT i cannot imagine how hard it was for everyone who had to go through that struggle. i mean having to say goodbye to ur loved ones not knowing whether ull ever see them again... its fucking hard. and now knowing if ud survive the night and the uncertainity? just- no. and im thankful for marvel for showing the partition story without sugar coating it. overall marvel did a good job of showing everyone just how much the british rule messed up our countries. and this is just the surface. we learn bout how the british killed our people and the unspeakable stuff they did to our families at school and its very rarely the western countries get to know our struggle (NO HATE TOWARDS U GUYS CUZ ITS NOT UR FAULT AND UR GUYS R AWESOME)

marvel did a good job with showing the life of immigrants and the partition.

It was so good to see Fawad Khan after such a long time and he played such a wholesome character and let me tell you the speech that he was giving was so so awesome and it was so good of the writers and all to portray that speech in Hindi and all the little Hindi elements along with the whole partition scenes were just *chefs kiss* Hats off to the writers and everyone who put together this amazing series

MARVEL DOES IT AGAIN

The song that played in the Marvel intro of episode 5 in Ms Marvel was ‘Tu Mera Chaand Main Teri Chaandni’, sung by Suraiyya, the only Muslim singer-actress who DID NOT leave India to got Pakistan during partition. She stayed in India, like Hasan wanted to. 

It also has a line ‘Jab tak chamke chaand sitaare, dekho chute na saath’ which means till the moon and stars shine, we shall never seperete. Funny stars were the ones which brought Sana and her Abbu together. Smh.

Hope the Tail of Emily Windsnap movie can have an emotional flashback scene like Episode 5 of Ms. Marvel.

 Imagine the feels seeing Jake’s only moment with baby Emily, before he’s ultimately separated and kicks off the events of the series. And just like Aisha gave Sana her bangle as a keepsake/protection, I could imagine the same with Jake giving Emily or Mary P. some keepsake jewelry that he made.
