"why would you even care?"

he stared in slightly confusion at brunette in front of him, scoffing as he immediately knew he wasn't joking. levi took one last inhale of his cigarette before allowing it to hit the ground, grinding it into the concrete with the bottom of his shoe. he took a step towards the taller male and wrapped his slender digits around a slim black fabric of a tie, yanking it towards his direction.

eren would've flew into levi if he hadn't caught himself in time, the only consequence was being centimeters away from the man's face, steel blue eyes gazing into sea green.

"what a dumb question coming from an even dumber person." levi concluded, casually watching eren's eyes flick between his pair of dark eyes and gingerly pink lips. music exited from the bar, fading out into the lit up streets of the city. the fluorescent lights mirrored themselves off the dark, wet asphalt as the 2 men gazed at one another. levi's fingers let go of eren's tie, making their way up to his nape.

the ravenette tilted his head slowly to the side, their noses quickly touching whilst guided eren even closer. eren rose a palm, resting it on the wall behind and above his coworker, his opposite hand hesitantly but almost knowingly resting on levi's hip. eren leaned in even more, sharing each others warmth under the dark, calming night sky and outside neon bar lights. the foreplay was borderline starving the two men from each other's touch. levi, finally having enough fun, leaned into a pair of smooth lips, brushing his against his. he whispering his last few words for the night before closing the gap.

You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).

Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.

#rambles #if you are a person who is into delicate skills #like lacemaking or printing or sewing #you will know fair well just how non expansive the knowledge online is in comparison to written guides from like the 50s #there was a time where at least one person in the household had to know a constructive skill #but in the modern day there is just less ans less demands for comprehensive guides #library propaganda #im stuck doing an essay rn but bc i have covid i cant go to the library and its totally fucked me #i want to source a lot of the stuff i read irl but i just cant go and get it and theres no online ver

seriously have been thinking about this all night long. call me autistic but the fact that 90% of workplaces the point is not to get your work done and then be done doing it but to instead perform an elaborate social dance in which you find something to do even when you're done doing everything you need to do in order to show your fellow workers that you, too, are Working . because you are at Work . disgusting why cant we all agree that if there is no work immediately to be done. we just dont do anything

#i personally like to not be doing things constantly at all times. it stresses me out #i know there are ppl who thrive on cosntant activity #but me i like to chill out.#and the problem then becomes that i only ACTIVELY remember to do work and Find More Work To Do when im stressed #at the thought that others might want to see me working #if im ever relaxed i just dont look for stuff to do #catch 22 of modern work culture which permeates even ostensibly noncapitalist structures like public libraries #for instance: will it really kill anybody if the books get shelved by me now after a very busy day?#or shelved tomorrow morning by. well probably me since i'll be the one at the desk #not in the slightest #but it was work that wasnt being immediately done by me. therefore it was incorrect behavior #that i failed to identify because my instinct is to relax when not immediately presented with a Situation #this got me labeled as 'having no initiative' by my dad from a very early age #and even as an adult i still feel like im a child with no initiative
