The selection of the Swedish Frida Johansson two posts before and its unbelievable almost...100 000 notes (!!!!) is the opportunity for me to speak about a problem. It deserves to be in YWAMag and that’s why it is here. But, without any offense to Frida, a very good Swedish photographer who has often been in the mag for years, it has nothing revolutionary. I’ll take several brilliant photographers who are on Tumblr and who have big YWAMag galleries :

-Me (sorry ! By the way, you haven’t seen me in the mag since a Tumblr change about 4 years ago for a technical reason) : I have never had more than 200 notes or something like that, during my first Tumblr years (2 015, mainly) when I was not boycotted yet especially by Lensblr, so my rare selections there reached that score. My notes’ amount is usually between 25 and 80. I have exhibited about ten times, in 4 capital cities. This to say that Tumblr/web success has nothing to see with real value, and with the stuff you do for your professional work and recognition.

-Peter Solarz (USA) : his Tumblr has started to have success only about three years ago, with some images reaching thousands of notes, always processed nature images. A specific photographer like me, not aiming what is called the extraordinary, but mainly composition and to transcend the things people don’t see.

-Purple Time Space Swamp (USA) : as Peter and me, based on composition. Unknown here and there, except by the mag. Usually has between 0 notes and 5.

-Peter Pollmanns (Dothob, Germany) : comparable to all of us, especially to me and Peter. Brilliant, kind of same notes’ ratio as me. Counter-example : the young Finnish Mila Mai, spectacular landscapes, huge amount of notes, often thousands. Harassed by a young Finnish looney, finally erased her Tumblr and disappeared about three years ago. It seems that she came back with a pseudonym but I couldn’t swear. "I fail to see what you find so upsetting."

"Do you really?"

"You knew who I was when you married me."

"You're right. I agreed to marry a paranoid ex-spy with no respect for his husband's privacy or boundaries. My patients didn't."

"I didn't harm your patients."

"You cannot possibly believe that I would excuse your extremely illegal and highly unethical accessing of hospital files, tracking down my patients, and interrogating them because you have this ridiculous idea that I've been hiding an affair from you."

"It was hardly an interrogation. When I was in the Obsidian Order-"

"I want a divorce, Garak. Oh, so that's what shuts you up, is it? I mean it. You've absolutely crossed the line. You've destroyed my professional integrity and quite possibly the hospital's reputation. People need to be able to trust us in order to receive care, and you've jeopardized that. You've compromised the healing of people who know exactly what kind of interrogating you did in the Obsidian Order, and are terrified to be on the receiving end of it again. If you've convinced yourself I'm fucking someone else and lying to you about it, fine, I figured out that you were never going to trust I love you. But you don't do this. You go and- and- I don't know, call Ezri on subspace and ask for a counseling session or get drunk and read terrible poetry or blow up your damn shop again. You can self-sabotage as much as you like, and you've shown very well that I'm powerless to stop you. But you do not get to sabotage my patients."

"If I apologized..."

"Was that unfinished sentence your idea of an apology?"

"My dear, I'm sorry."

"I'm sure you are! I'm sure you'll go and wallow in self-loathing and enjoy it very much, but that can't be how this works, Garak. I shouldn't have to ask for a divorce in order for you to admit you did something wrong. If this is what our marriage is going to be now, then I... I can't, Garak. I don't know what it is that would help you, but whatever it is, I can't provide it."

A black screen awaited any viewer who dared to tune in. Judgement here was long gone, it being passed onto the unrighteous. A sizzling, static noise struck the shadow-filled display, absent of any empathetic touch.

"OW!"

A shriek of pain interrupted the solitude.

To follow the yelp, a long, quiet rustle was audible on the other end. Though whatever waited on the other end wasn't visible, the panicked, hurried sounds spoke for them all the same. Rustling and rummaging hissed through the blackened screen. The mental picture could easily be put into your mind.

...After a minute or two of agonizing and awkward waiting, the camera finally took focus, colors flooding the screen. What stood in plain view was a short gentleman with tanned, bronzed skin and short, black curly hair. They smiled sheepishly, smoothing back their hair and brushing off their suit. "...It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." They nodded politely, putting a gloved hand on their heart. "We don't know each other yet, but... I hope we will come to. I'm Mila Law Young, a detective at the Royal Court Agency."

"For a back of a better word, I have gotten wind that thing's have been... risque, around these parts, wouldn't you say? An assortment of crime running in these dark, shaded backstreets, hiding under our noses... And I simply cannot live with the idea that innocent civilians are getting mixed in the middle of it."

"So... that's why I'm here!" Mila beamed, grinning from ear to ear. "To protect and serve! To get to the bottom of these terrible sins that are haunting our youth! Whatever you need, please don't hesitate to contact me. Please remember that I'm a resource, an ear to listen, and, hopefully, a friend."

The sleuth bowed, looking up with a wink. "...I'm at your service."

Almost a before and after (I had started messing with her lips already in the 'before'). The eyes changed because I broke the first ones lol. Everything is done with acrylic paints.

Milas stepped into the bedroom, where the two men were talking. They had stopped yelling, now, though their voices were stern. They were speaking in a language Milas didn't recognize. Neither Petra nor the blue-haired man seemed to notice him entering, and abruptly the language switched again. Sinnohan. Milas could pick a few words from that.

Vague words drifted by Milas. Hurt. Inappropriate. Stupid. 

The blue-haired man said something, then. A string of words hissed sharply, ones that Milas couldn't recognize. Petra jerked on the bed, gasping in pain but leaning forward regardless, and grabbing the man's shoulder tightly. The language switched once more. Tiksan. Milas understood that better than any of the others they'd spoken in. He'd taken classes online, and Petra had given him a few phrases and words.

"..Not fucking going, Archer," Petra spat. His free hand grabbed at his own side, where the gash lay. Milas wanted to stop him, to make him lay back and rest and stop because he was hurting himself, hurting Milas.

Archer smacked Petra's hand away, grabbing his wrist and leaning forward into the other man's space. He was going to say something, when Milas rushed over to the bed and pushed him over.

It was surprisingly easy, all things considered.

The man let out a rather offended and confused screech before catching himself, stumbling backwards.

Milas inhaled, stepping back so he could stare both men down. "You're going to tell me what the fuck is going on now. Both of you. Why the hell you-" he pointed at Petra- "came in with a huge fucking gash in your side, and why you have a Rocket uniform, and you-" he pointed at Archer- "are even here. Who you are. Why you're fucking... Yellling at him, when he's hurt- And until that shit happens, nobody is going anywhere."

Petra's shocked face slowly morphed into the grin of a madman. Archer, in turn, looked utterly exhausted.

Just had therapy today after not going for a couple of months and it went so good??? Like??? I mean, while i was telling her stuff i realized that i did had a few bad weeks during summer but it also had good parts and i got back into contact with a couple of friends and made a new one and trying to keep in contact (i have so many pending messages, i'm so bad at answering on time i swear, especially bc my convos always end up having super long messages on each side and ay i need to get organized and don't overwhelm myself with being social bc then i need a while to recharge and like talking requires so much thinking and i have already done enough of disappearing for months, how do people handle so many aspects of life omg i don't even have to get a job yet) and the new school is amazing with really supportive and kind teachers and omg this is so weird but also happy??? Like i'm actually doing better???
