How many works do you have on ao3? Officially 8, but I have one on anon and one currently unrevealed in a fic exchange

What's your total ao3 word count? 61,996

What fandoms do you write for? So far I've written for Death Note, Tangled the Series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Haikyuu, plus a couple of crossovers. Haikyuu is definitely my main rn though

Do you respond to comments? Yeah, I love to! I don't get a lot so they always make me happy :)

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? probably the anon fic sdfsk but other than that, Midnight Coda is kinda bittersweet because of what happens later

What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? hmm idk but the sappiest is definitely Frosting and Freckles

Do you get hate on fics? Not so far, thankfully! I don't think I have a big enough readership for that haha

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have not; not sure what kind it would be if I did

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I love writing crossovers! A PJO/HP crossover was actually what got me into fanfic. Unfortunately most of them are merely concepts or abandoned (for now), but as for crazy, I think my Lunar Chronicles/PJO one is the craziest in terms of how the plot grew out of control from a simple "what if these two characters interacted" to "I could rewrite most of this series," which is why I got stuck and put it on hiatus lol but I do want to get back to it someday. Maybe once I finish my other active crossover

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not to my knowledge

What's the longest you've spent working on one fic? And the shortest? Uhhh well if we count "working on" as "having it in the back of mind to get to but haven't worked on in months," probably Sent from the Heavens lol. If not, then Varian Is Not a Wizard (just over two years since I published the first chapter). Shortest is definitely Midnight Coda, since I wrote that pretty much in a day iirc

Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but it sounds like it could be fun!

What's your all-time favorite ship? From all fandoms? Dude I have no idea how to narrow that down. Best I can give you is my current fave is Tsukkiyama from Haikyuu

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Probably my "Leo Valdez ends up in the ATLA world" one :sob: It never made it past the word doc and about three pages of story and I haven't looked at it in like two years

What are your writing strengths? I like to think I'm pretty good at dialogue and grammar/spelling

What are your writing weaknesses? Everything else (jk). I am awful at describing scenes/settings; I get bored writing them so I don't put as much effort in as I should haha. I also tend to ramble and use passive voice too much

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I haven't done it, but I think it's fine as long as it fits the context

First fandom you wrote for? Published: Avatar: The Last Airbender. Unpublished: Percy Jackson

Favorite fic you've written? I think it's still Bent Out of Shape. It's so niche, but I had an idea and I executed it, and I'm proud of what I accomplished. Although once I finish Varian Is Not a Wizard, that might take the top slot.

I do! Unless I just genuinely can't think of a reply (i.e, someone makes a request for what they'd like to see happen in an In-Progress fic, and I know it's not gonna happen but don't want to accidentally come across as rude. If there's nothing else for me to reply to, I won't respond to that comment. Sorry!)

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

For IZ, it's Post-Blue for sure. For Silent Hill, despair and die has the worst ending of the two fics I wrote by far. Sorry Henry <3

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Weirdly enough, I think most of my fics have happy endings? I say weird, because I'm not actually a happy ending kinda guy, but I do like to provide some sort of resolution since fic is predominantly something people turn to for entertainment.

That being said, I'd say Suck is probably my most hopeful ending, and that things genuinely stay pretty good for the lads in that AU barring the light kidnapping incident that occurs in the sequel.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I have been wonderfully blessed so far, which means now I've written that and manifested it into the world, someone is gonna leave me an absolute ripper of a hate comment. Worst thing someone ever did was ask for an update on Suck after less than a month, while also calling me stinky.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nah.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Oh boy. Yes, I actually do enjoy writing crossovers, even though I never read them. I wanna write an actual IZxSilent Hill crossover sometime soon, but for now Prisonic Fairytale is the closest to achieving that (and desperately needs updating soon, sorry orz)

BUT, my first ever IZ fic was actually technically a crossover. The plot of Love Is A Verb is based on the film Wristcutters A Love Story, though things diverge a lot and the ending is very loosely based on both the film and the original novella that was based on called Kneller's Happy Campers. I only don't have it tagged as a crossover since I diverged so much from the film's plot halfway through the fic, and no characters from the film appear (or do they...?)

If you check that fic out, please mind the tags. There's a lot of very heavy themes in that fic.

Oof. Honestly, my Foodcourtia fic Enemy of the Fugue State. Because I started writing that as a total stream of consciousness kinda thing with zero outline, and my brain put on the breaks half-way through a goddamn sentence and I'm not sure how to get to where I wanna go next.

This isn't to say it's abandoned by any means! Just that I might need to go back to the drawing board with that one.

I like to think I'm good at writing dialogue?

I could be way more descriptive tbh.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

All about it. Alas, I'm monolingual, so that's not something I can experiment with myself. Unless Dib or Zim ever go to France or Germany and need to ask to borrow a pen or something. In that case, I'm all set.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Final Fantasy 7. It was terrible, and no longer exists. Cloud and Vincent got married at the Gold Saucer and that is literally the only details you'll ever get out of me. I was 13 xD

Tho getting super technical, the first 'fic' I ever wrote was a class creative writing assignment in Year 5, where I wrote about Digimon.

I love all of my fics, else I wouldn't have written them! That being said, my favourite published fic is definitely Love Is A Verb 💚

this is only my opinion but I think we shouldn't put too much thought into anything related to Marauders bc...well.. jk mostly wrote their characters for the sake of Harry's story.. not the main plot ...ik i don't make sense here but take Sirius for example. When he escaped Azkaban.. he had no family, no lover, no one. Initially I was like, "Yeah, okay " and that was and is ok. But the thing is later it occurred to me that maybe he was written that way bc he had to be solely for harry. Like... he shouldn't care about anyone but harry.. shouldn't love anyone but him. Why isn't Wolfstar canon? idk but I think one of the main reasons (aside from, ummm hello? it's 1999! No one should be gay :/ ) is that Sirius isn't allowed to prioritize anyone over his godson that's why james financially supported Remus but Sirius didn't.

I also think that's why she emphasized the James/Sirius friendship more and wanted us to believe that Sirius cared so much more about James... maybe he did but atp many fans srsly believe Sirius didn't give a damn about Remus when we all know they became Animagi just for Remus. Being an unregistered Animagus is a crime... they didn't do it for fun. But yeah whatever. And don't even get me started on Teddy... OMG. I think Remus abandoned his wife and unborn son JUST because the writer wanted to give Harry a godson. those are my thoughts ik maybe i'm wrong..I only brought this up because in the past, I used to cry a lot over the Marauders and I hope no one feels any sadness about anything that person wrote. and sorry I'm not really good at englisch:(

Also whether you ship prongsfoot or not, it’s very obvious they are close best friends. Sirius would do anything for James and vice versa. But people who disregard Remus’ friendship might have not have many irl friends who regularly physically interact together as a group which is fine! but. I have a very close friend group, but my best friend and I would do anything for each other, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about my friends. I want to spend time with them and I love them and they all make me piss myself laughing. Like we go camping regularly, we always have birthdays together, we love each other. Idk. The marauders all did love each other. To me it’s complex and nuanced and I like that.

Unpopular opinion: Kim can fuck right off.

😥✨ Part 2 ✨ Jk, but also not really. I just want to see Macau fall in love and be filled with teenage adoration for Chay, have his heart and mind captivated by the lil angle. At the same time witness Chay get his heart broken by Kim and step in to hold him close and show him what they could be. They then proceed to save each other from all the future emotional damage and torture that would come their way, mafia and all. Chay chooses a happier path and doesn't follow in his father's dark footsteps. And Chay receives all the affection he had lacked, because I have a feeling Macau isn't the silent lover kind. He goes big and they take such good care of each other. All I'm asking is for a chance for what they could be 😥.

No hate to the authors of the novels, they did a phenomenal job and I would recommend everyone who’s interested to give the novel a shot. it’s worth every infuriating and anxious second that you spend cursing out the universe to just let all the characters be happy for once.

Now onto my MacauCahy complex.

Hear me out, I'm absolutely delusional but refuse to allow my baby Chay to be associated with Kim and his handy work against his brother (both Kinn and Porsche). I've read the novel and know exactly the kind of person Kim could turn out to be. 'could', that's right, the person he could be. Everyone wishes for his redemption arc through Chay, manifesting that he cares and wants to protect Chay. Not gonna lie, initially I was a sailor on that ship, but then I finished the novel and realised Kim could have ended it all. I'm not gonna get into specifics, cause those would be huge spoilers that lots of fans didn't consent to. That and I don't know how true the series will be to the novel. But, I personally believe Kim to be nothing but bad news for Chay, if you've read the novel you know what I'm referring to.

Now coming to why I ship Macau with Chay. Honestly, it's just my hopeless abandon to save Macau from the future path he's creating for himself. I say hopeless cause I also know it would never happen, but I'd like to think of what could have.

Everyone knows that Macau and Chay attend the same high school, we've seen it in the series (uniform) as well as heard it from Macau (referring to how he knows about porsche's love for bikes and dreams). There is a possibility that Macau keeps tabs on Chay, if asking for them being friends is too much. Macau and Kim have that in common, approaching Chay with the same intention. His family.

Though the intentions were similar, the action plan is where it sets them apart. They both are spies and informants for their families, with their own personal agendas. And sure, you can argue that Kim eventually develops feelings, but he directly approached Chay with manipulation in mind. He initially takes advantage of the infatuation that Chay is wrapped up in. Then later on he takes advantage of Chay's affections. (and no, I don't think this just cause he hesitates to voice his feelings for Chay). If Kim had indeed had feeling for Chay he'd find some other way to 'protect' his family and get his information. Kim doesn't seem like the guy to lack resources.

Now, back to the rant.

I don’t want this to be about how toxic the KimChay relationship is, so I’ll stop bashing Kim and get on to Macau.

Macau, the poor kid. Raised in the Mafia under the sole of his father’s rage, not only that but having to live up to the legacy of both his father and brother. sure, you could say that Kim’s in the mafia too. but, he really isn’t. He had left to pursue his own life, with his father’s blessing. unlike Kim, Macau will never have that chance. Korn might be a fucking bastard, but at least he doesn’t abuse and manipulate his own kids. Kan has always been second, as we’ve seen, and his thirst for vengeance is what will eventually ruin both his children’s lives.

Macau has lacked most of the parental affection his whole life, never once being considered or brought into perspective. It’s always the Main family, and even when it isn’t, it’s Vegas. he’s been sidelined his whole life. Vegas being the only person who cared enough to protect his baby brother as much as he could. but how much could he shelter his brother from. In the novel Vegas tries his very best to shield his brother from the dangers of the mafia world, but eventually must conceit to raise him to fight the darkness himself. The nature of Macau's arrogance and entitled air is due to the fact that he just wants to be heard and seen, for once in his life. It’s no excuse, but it’s how he thinks he can be feared and powerful.

It’s all a façade to appear important in a world where no-one cares about him.

I personally believed he can be saved from the hell he’s been in his whole life. He just needs one person’s affection. Just one, anyone, someone to tell him he’s loved and cared for. and that he is important.

Who better than our lil sunshine shortcake?

Not saying that Porchay could magically take away all the pain and ingrained agenda that was forced down Macau’s throat, but I truly think he could change Macau for the better.

Chay gives unconditionally, his efforts, his heart, his feelings. everything. he does everything wholeheartedly. that’s just him. Beautiful, Wonderful Chay. He forgives and is always willing to give everyone a chance. or chances, plural.

Here’s my two cents on how that could go down - (there will be some rearranging of events, bare with me)

Having Chay and Macau cross paths through their school days couldn’t just be some odd coincidence. Porsche works hard to give his brother everything he’s never gotten the privilege to have since their parents’ passing, which may include a high-end education (I say this because I don’t think Kan’s ego would allow him to send his son to some second or third rate school), meaning the gap between both the boys are even wider. One comes from Power and loneliness (Macau), and the other from innocence and struggle (Chay). they’re bound to naturally repel each other, just like the social brigade that oppresses societies.

Macau, probably wouldn’t have a lot of true friends. Mainly due to the fear his father’s reputation has instilled into everyone around him. I’m no expert but i’m sure there were rumors about him and his family flying through the halls of the school. it’s high school kids, kids talk a lot. Anyway he’s got a reputation that proceeds him, and that either scares everyone away or entices them to use him. He may like the attention at first, but he’s not daft, he’s bound to realize that once again, no one actually cares for him. it’ll hurt. he’d harden himself further, create his own armor. Arrogance, he figures. if no one wants to see the real him, they’ll see the him that he’s willed himself to become.

As he goes through his school life, faking interest in everything, he’s one day tasked by his brother to find out about some kid named Porchay Kittisawasd. He’s never heard of the name in his life, but it’s the first task he’s ever been given by anyone in his family. It’s his time to shine, he thinks.

Determined, he sets his sights on Chay. Going around asking about him and trying to find out what he can. Intimidation works wonders when you have a father who can have someone shot with a snap of his finger. He finds out which class Chay is in, makes it his life’s mission to unravel the boys entire life, because he can’t let his family down - no, he can’t let Vegas down. He’s going to do this without any mistakes.

He’ll probably dare himself to talk to Chay personally. It’ll be the first step to his ungraceful downfall. Dramatic, I know. But which Theerapanyakul offspring isn’t dramatic?

It’s Chay’s smile that first gets him, has him off balance, tipping on dazed. It’s so unadulterated. captivating. that’s ugly, he thinks. why does he smile so much? what’s wrong with him? He still continues to fake befriend Chay.

Then it’s the realization that Chay only talks about two things, his brother Porsche and some idol named Wik. Macau rolls his eyes, his cousin isn’t even that great. he sucks, actually. He tells his brother everything about Porsche.

Wrapped up in being the best informant has it’s cons, though. He has meticulously trained his eyes to follow every move that Chay makes. Where he goes, Who he’s with, When he goes to the music room, When he gets the bus to go home. Everything, Macau sees it all. What he doesn’t see though, are the times his eyes seek out Chay even when he’s not there. All it takes is the mention of his name, and you’ve got Macau’s full attention. He doesn’t tell his brother that.

One day he realizes that he’s followed Chay and his friends to some place familiar. It’s Vega’s university. He follows the boys to the Department of Music and sound, it clicks. Maybe this is where Chay wants to study, he makes a mental note. He stands to the side behind the pillar, eyes fixed on the smiling boy in the third row. he can’t help but snort when he sees Chay roll back and forth on the balls of his heel. He’s excited, he thinks.

They get briefed about the department by some seniors and Macau swears he nearly dies of boredom. nearly. Chay’s expression is his only form of entertainment, until he notices Chay’s body go tense.

He straightens up instantly, tensing himself, looking around to see what could have been the cause. Then he sees him, fucking Kim and his stupid leather jacket.

He wills himself to deflate, only Chay the ultimate fanboy would comically freeze in the presence of his favorite idol. He can’t help but smile as he sees Chay’s enthusiasm over answering the questions about Wik.

Then for a brief second his eyes land on his cousin. He tenses unconsciously. something irked him about the way his cousin looked fixated on Chay as he answered the last question. He leaves, telling Vegas that he visited his University today to see if there was a course he wanted to join.

The next day is a Saturday, Macau puffs out in annoyance. He’s bored from playing video games the whole morning. the staff tense and rush to his side, inquiring if there’s something he’s unsatisfied with. he looks visibly irritated, no one knows why, not even Vegas could coax an answer out of him. It’s not his fault though, he himself doesn’t know why he’s irritated.

He needs entertainment, and the first thing that pops into his mind is Chay’s smiling face. That’ll do, he thinks and tells his brother he’s going to the skate park. Vegas looks at him strange, but says nothing. Later when Vegas goes to the park, he snorts when there’s no Macau in sight. He gets on his bike and rides to Porsche’s house. He sees Macau standing near the small milk stall, eyes trying to peer into the garden of Porsche’s house. He smirks as he sneaks up behind his brother and scares the ever-living crap outta him.

They head home, neither brother saying a word.

Weeks go by, and all of Macau’s information now only consists of all of Chay’s favorite food, music, Nintendo games and tv series. He doesn’t tell Vegas any of that.

Vegas later assures him that he’s done with his task and they have all the information they need. He praises his brother for a job well done, and Macau puffs his chest with pride. He’s done well.

The next day when he sees Chay, he walks up to talk to him as usual. makes new mental notes on how Chay is feeling and what he’s doing today. Then Chay says something along the lines of ‘Wik teaching him’ or some rubbish, Macau couldn’t remember - watching Chay’s lips move weirdly made him deaf.

It takes him a full three minutes to grasp what Chay said. Rushing to clarify what he was sure he heard wrong. His cousin is a narcissist and couldn’t care about anyone else. He would never volunteer to help anyone in his free time.

Macau is now pissed the whole week through, avoiding Chay as much as he can. He’s asked his brother to look into why Kim would bother to talk to Chay and give him his time. Vegas blinks before he smirks, telling Macau he’s really good at being an informant. Macau is confused, what did he tell him? Vegas tells him Kim is smart and that he’ll find out soon. Macau is annoyed. his question is unanswered. Why is everyone suddenly interest in Chay?

The next day there’s a meeting in the main house, he’s beyond annoyed now. why wouldn’t anyone tell him anything? unbeknownst to him, a guard approaches him as he’s letting his frustrations out on the koi pond his eldest cousin loves. to add to all his irritation, he’s called the son of a maid. He lashes out, only for his world to be flipped upside down into the pond.

He sees red, and yells that his father will have the guards head for pushing him. It’s only later when he hears stupid Kinn yell out Porsche’s name, that he puts two and two together. but It’s too late, his father is booming out accusation and he’s starting to feel dizzy. Porsche falls to the ground limp and he suddenly feels extremely guilty.

I don't know if the bracelet thing was a gift from JK to JM or from PolyC to Jimin or if he bought one because JM liked it or let him have his because he weren't wearing it at the party but I just find it so sweet how jikook seem to somehow always know overall what the other is doing or intrested in or linked in a way or sharing some friends. They seem to have a similar taste in things and always end up involved in a way with what the other is/was doing so I assume they talk a lot and trust each other a lot and exchanging opinions. I don't really like it when people say dumb things like "well Jimin didn't let JK hear his songs so of course they hate each other" comments when he also didn't let him hear serendipity at first (I personally believe Jimin is very perfectionist and has a slight confidance issue and he might feel flustered sharing it if he does not think it's perfect with JK. Jimin seems to think so highly of him. And who knows, if they are a couple it's really flustering to let the person you are with and write about hearing the entire writing process when it's not still perfect in your eyes. To me Jimin looked like he was blushing more than avoiding while JK looked teasing more than upset) . Someone described them here once as a unit within a unit and I tottally still see it. So far the one thing that truly amazes me is the jm tattoo and how it got retouched because that to me screams commitment. I sometimes try to find faults and doubt some things to see if I see it clearly but no mattar how hard I try I can not not link that j/m tattoo back to Jimin and his presence in JK's life.

All valid takes, and so reposting with very little additional commentary, besides this: until the JM tattoo retouch, I figured because Jungkook never came out and said the J was for Jimin (instead of Jungkook, or 4J), I couldn't fully be sure. But to retouch ONLY the J and the M suggests heavily those two letters are meant to be taken together, as initials. It's crumbs. We are in the Jikook Quiet Crumbs Era, methinks. It will be hard to avoid the temptations of subscribing to conspiracy theories about why or abandoning ship without as much in-your-face content. I really hope my fellow Jikook fans calmly take in all evidence, concede when something doesn't point to our ship, and celebrate honorably when it does.

Above all, let's behave in a way that would make Jimin and Jungkook proud.

There’s also this one indie book that I don’t even remember the name of and,well, I just have to explain it.

So we start with this sad guy who has been abandoned by his parents, kept away from his little brother and lost his last boyfriend to drugs (not dead; just really loves drugs). Very sad.

So now he devotes himself to a charity pit bull rescue and he can do that because his family is rich enough that he’s independently wealthy. But his life is sad because all he has is his dog.

Then we have this other guy whose girlfriend is into hair and makeup and stuff, so he’s disdainful of her. And the plot is like “you’re right: girls who put time into their appearance are all sluts.” So he breaks up with her.

So then other guy finds some pit bulls at a construction site he’s working at and calls sad guy. And sad guy comes out to get the dogs and they immediately start making eyes at each other. But other guy is like “wait, no, I’m straight” even though he keeps referencing this not straight thing he did in college.

But then these guys show up randomly with bats and chains to steal the pit bulls and you know they’re PoC because they call sad guy a white boy and they’re so one dimensional and leave quickly and never show up again that you’re just like ??? Also, they’re later referred to as thugs, so racist on multiple levels. But I guess they were just there to show that sad guy can be brave and also that pit bulls are protective? Even though the book makes noises like it’s going to be about how pit bulls are misunderstood breed and not dangerous, it kind of forgets about that.

So anyway, both guys go into one of the houses that are being renovated and its just so cluttered with unspecified stuff that sad guy trips and oh no! They fall on each other! Who would have guessed! So they’re just on each other getting turned on and other guy is like “I’m not gay!”

So then they rescue the dogs and one is a cute puppy that other guy thinks is cute, but it has a hurt paw and might have to be put down! Oh no! And other guy is like “no, must adopt!” So he does, but that part isn’t even shown.

What’s shown is he invites the dog rescue workers, including sad guy, to his friend’s bar where they all hang out. And sad guy’s friends are immediately like “I ship these two” and start trying to push them together, as so often happens in these novels. Also, all the friends are introduced in the narrative with a long paragraph detailing their personalities that they then do not follow through the rest of the book. Also also, sad guy’s female friend has a habit of going to gay bars with him and staring at the men dancing together while talking about how free they look in a way that is totally not creepy or objectifying.

So anyway, they push sad guy and other guy into running together and they become friends. And sad guy is like “I’m so horny for this dude” and other guy is like “I’m horny too, but straight, sorry.” So there’s delicious pining for a single page and then other guy is like “jk, I guess I’m gay.”

Also, meanwhile sad guy keeps finding ways to hang out with his brother and their mom keeps finding out and stopping them. And then other guy is like “I’ll help by giving your brother an internship” so sad guy can come by and see him.

But also, other guy’s brother finds out about their relationship and turns out to be a homophobe. But that’s stopped when bartender friend chews him out by referencing a heretofore unmentioned pictures that is apparently a super important picture of bartender’s heretofore unmentioned dead brother, so we have to pause the confrontation to explain that because we couldn’t just casually mention it when we were first introduced to the bar. No, bringing up plot elements anytime before they become important is for good writing! So other guy’s brother is like “nevermind, I’m completely on board now and will defend your boy in the future.”

So then other guy introduces sad guy to the rest of his family and they all love and accept him and the little sister sexually objectifies them, so yay he has a family again!

This is 50% of the way through. And I’m like “what’s left?” And the answer is “So much!”

So now that things are going smoothly, other guy is like “time to doubt my relationship!” And has to be talked into it by previously homophobic brother.

Meanwhile, he ignored his boyfriend for 2 days and sad guy is rightfully hurt and tells other guy to go, but other guy refuses and also starts taking off his clothes and it’s like whoa this is really unconsenting! But it’s not because sad guy is like “fine, we’ll do the makeup sex.”

And by this point, they’ve already done half a dozen blowjobs and the standard I do you and now you do me and by this point it’s boring. And we’re only 60% through and have many more boring blowjobs to go!

So anyway, they get through that and then sad guy’s mother confronts him about hanging out with his brother and he’s stood up for by other guy’s formerly homophobic brother.

Meanwhile other guy goes to confront sad guy’s father and it turns out he was just an also sad guy who was being manipulated by his evil wife!

And sad guy’s weird friends are having a baby and he gets offered a new job and his ex boyfriend comes back to reconnect and he (sad guy) threatens to let a pit bull eat him (ex), but other guy gets jealous of the ex anyway.

And then they remember this is supposed to be about a pit bull rescue, so they have a charity gala and gasp! Sad guy’s dad shows up!

Then it skips to a year later with no warning and there are more boring blowjobs, but outside this time when sad guy’s dad and brother are also said to be outside and within view of them and it’s like ??? Then we learn they’re getting married.

The THE WEDDING

This section seriously has a header when nothing else so far has. And other guy is doing sad guy’s tie for him even though in the next paragraph it’s revealed he hasn’t worn a tie in 10 years while sad guy wears ties multiple times in the book for his job. And then it’s a wedding that could be cute if I wasn’t already checking my watch like “how long is this thing” several hours ago.

And they grab a bottle of champagne before sneaking off to go be horny together, but the author forgets this because on the next page they grab a bottle of champagne and NEITHER BOTTLES IS MENTIONED AGAIN. So then there is, thankfully, our last boring sex scene.

And then the epilogue! Because it wasn’t long enough!

Now it’s two years later and they have a baby and everyone is happy. Except sad guy’s mom because unlike every male villain in the story, women don’t get redemption arcs in this.

It’s so bad and yet I was coming off a really intense book, so it was exactly what I needed at that moment.

There’s something about Ace that makes you so attracted to him. You couldn’t really pinpoint what it is. You aren’t sure if it’s his boyish smile, cocky smirk, lovely freckles, lean figure, easygoing and carefree attitude, the generous compliments he gives, or all of the above.

The dynamic between the two of you is almost like how a moth is attracted to a flame. But then again, Ace isn’t merely a flame. He’s more likely the sun — bright, warm, and all-consuming.

However, you can only ever get so close to the sun before you actually burn.

It was only in hindsight that you realize you should’ve kept your distance with Ace.

Maybe you shouldn’t have gotten through all the trouble of fighting against the bandits that started a brawl with the Spade Pirates at your hometown. Maybe you shouldn’t have fallen for Ace’s compliments on your skills on using knives as weapons. Maybe you shouldn’t have accommodated his curiosity on how to wield it. Maybe you shouldn’t have held his hand as you tried to show him the proper way of handling the knife. Because quite frankly, that one touch had sparked something in you. And it was that touch that started this whole mess — the mess of falling truly, madly, deeply in love with Portgas D. Ace.

But Ace only sees you as a crewmate of the Spade Pirates and later on as a subordinate when he became the Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates.

Unfortunately, you know that’s all you’ll ever be.

You can tell that Ace has no interest in falling in love — at least not yet; not until he achieves his goal. And you hate to admit it, but even after all the years you spend following him, you still have no idea what his true goal is. You aren’t even sure if you’ll ever find it out. Because unlike you, Ace knows how to keep a safe distance from people.

There’s only one time that Ace allowed himself to blur the lines of friendship, and it was when you were both too drunk after celebrating a successful mission together. Somehow in the middle of your conversation, in a drunken haze, he leaned into you and kissed you on the lips. And as expected of you, you kissed him back with equal fervor.

That night, you have learned that fire is quite a fitting power for Ace. If his lips were fire, then your blood was gasoline. His kiss ignited everything in you until you’re fully consumed by him.

The next day came by way too quickly, but… he had no memory of what had transpired, and you wished it was the same with you. It would’ve been easier to live in blissful ignorance, but instead of that, you’re left to treat the burns that Ace unknowingly left in his wake — not physically, of course, he would never hurt you that way, but it doesn’t exactly hurt any less.

No matter how hurt you’ve been that night, you didn’t really stay away from Ace. You’re just so stubborn and unrelenting that you continue to tredge the line that Ace has so clearly drawn.

And it’s because of that attitude that you have taken it upon yourself to find Ace and stop him searching for Teach. Marco couldn’t stop him, maybe even Deuce wouldn’t, but you might be able to, because you aren’t afraid to burn, at least not any more than you already have. And this makes all the difference between you and Ace’s friends, although he has yet to realize that.

You find Ace in Mock Town. He’s walking the street with his back to you.

There’s no doubt that you’re extremely worried about him but with how long you traveled just to get to him, you have started to feel angry because of his reckless actions.

So instead of calling out his name to get his attention, you grab one of the daggers strapped to your legs and throw it at him. With Ace��s logia-type power, it only goes through him. Ace doesn’t even stop walking.

Since his back is facing you, you couldn’t tell what type of look he has on his face, although you’re willing to bet your life that he has an arrogant smirk on his face. You’re tempted to throw another dagger at him and use your haki, but that would be too much; your intent is to get his attention, not to hurt him, no matter how annoying he can be.

The dagger lands a few feet away from Ace and he walks up to grab it. He tenses a bit after he crouches down and picks it up. You know he recognizes the unique handle of the weapon. Before you know it, he turns his body around to find you, sporting that awfully breathtaking smile that makes you go crazy.

For a moment your anger dissipates while your heart stutters across your chest. You wonder, “Why does the sun still bother rising when Ace obviously shines so much brighter?”

But your thoughts are cut off when all of a sudden you’re tackled into a hug by Ace. Your mind automatically goes blank.

You have no problem with skinship and Ace doesn’t mind too, but a hug certainly isn’t how the both of you greet each other.

The hug is short lived as Ace pulls away before you can even wrap your arms around him. He then proceeds to throw his arm over your shoulder. He starts walking with you across the town, the grin on his face never leaving. “Ya know, I just saw my brother a while back in Alabasta!” He happily tells you.

You’re happy for Ace, you really are, but you have to admit that you’re a tad bit disappointed. You’re disappointed that his excitement isn’t because of you; it’s more like leftover enthusiasm he had after seeing his little brother. But you chase those thoughts away immediately, knowing full well it’s unreasonable for you to expect something like that from Ace.

He continues telling you about his brother and his crew with that proud expression reserved for talks about Luffy. With the way he’s animatedly speaking, you couldn’t help the smile form on your lips. It’s at this moment that you realize that you’d do absolutely anything and everything for Ace to be happy and remain happy.

You’re listening intently as he recounts every single thing that happened during their encounter. By the time he’s done, he turns to you and asks, “Oh, by the way, what’cha doing here?”

You shrug. “I came to get you,” you casually say.

He retracts his arm that’s draped on your shoulder. He drops his smile as well. “No.”

“Stop making a fuss, Commander. Pops wants you back on the ship.”

“I said no. I’m going to find Blackbeard and teach him a lesson.”

You grit your teeth at annoyance while Ace stares you down. Noticing the people listening in on your conversation, you stride to Ace, use your haki to grab his wrist, and then lead him to an abandoned alleyway. The touch immediately quickens your pulse rate, but you don’t let it waver you.

You let go of his wrist once you reach the alleyway. When you turn to face him, you can instantly tell that he’s taken aback by your actions. It’s not often you act like this when things don’t go your way after all.

“Commander, come back to the crew,” you say once again.

“No!” He stubbornly says. You can tell he’s getting angry by the flames that started appearing on his shoulders. “Teach broke the iron rule in the ship! Thatch won’t be able to rest peacefully and Pops—”

“I know, Commander!” You raise your voice. “I know this!”

“Great! Now let me be,” he says as he turns his back to leave.

“Goddammit Ace! Why are you doing this again?!” You exclaimed, clenching your fists in the process. Ace stops in his tracks upon hearing you. He’s surprised that you’ve addressed him by his name. “Why are you so dead-set on carrying the burden alone? Can’t you see how reckless you’re being? You’re diving headfirst into something dangerous!”

“Do you think I’m weak?” He asks, still with his back to you.

“No.”

“Then trust me on this.”

You scoff. “Not everything is a matter of strength.”

Ace pivots his body so he’s facing you and then he leans against the wall. He crosses his arms and gives you a look to continue your speech.

“Has it ever crossed your mind that we want to avenge Thatch as well? I know you two were close since you’re both Commanders, but we were close too!”

“I’m Teach’s Commander, that’s why I have to—”

You don’t listen to him speak, opting to continue what you’re saying. “Thatch was like an older brother to me. But I lost him. I don’t want to lose you too,” you whisper almost inaudibly. “Because I love you…”

Ace freezes at your declaration, but he’s quick to recover and says, “You know I love you too.”

You sigh and look at him in the eyes. Tears are forming in your eyes, making Ace look blurry. “But not in the same way, right?”

Ace goes silent. But his eyes could communicate with you in ways you’d never understand. His eyes never lie, and from them you can clearly see the guilt of not being able to reciprocate your feelings.

Oh, how things change so quickly. Back then, you’d be ecstatic whenever his eyes would land on you. Back then, you’d do anything to keep his eyes on you a little longer. But now, you just wish he stopped looking at you with those eyes.

“I’d die for you,” he says after a while, as if it’s the answer you’re searching for.

This would’ve been such a romantic thing to say for others, but it doesn’t hold the same weight if Ace says this. You know he would risk his life for anyone on the crew, not just you.

“But that’s the thing. I don’t want you to die for me, I want you to live, even if it’s not for me or with me,” you exasperatedly tell him.

Ace’s eyes widen, almost as if you’ve reached something deep inside him with what you’ve just said.

“I knew it from the beginning that you don’t love me the same way, so it’s fine. But that doesn’t matter.”

You try changing the topic in order to shift your focus, “Listen, Commander, I’m not telling you to sit still and forget about Teach. You said so yourself, you’re his Commander, but you’re my Commander too, along with the rest of the Second Division. And right now, we need you. Hell, even Pops needs you.

“I know Pops won’t let Teach get away with this either, but he knows this isn’t the right time yet. Let’s gather intel first, before doing anything.”

Ace remains silent, obviously thinking about what you’ve just said.

“Does that sound good, Commander?” You ask quietly.

He nods his head slowly.

You hum. “Alright. Now that that’s settled, let’s head on to your Striker.”

The walk back to the port is unusually silent. Ace has one of his hands in his pocket while the other on his hat. You, on the other hand, are staring straight ahead, recounting the conversation that has just happened.

Truthfully, the conversation didn’t go as you planned. You’re certain that convincing Ace would be so much harder. In fact, you’ve readied yourself to pick a fight with him if he didn’t want to go back to the crew.

You’ve prevented the fight from happening at the expense of your stupid confession. And you aren’t sure if it’s for the better or for the worse.

A part of you knows it’s for the better, because this way Ace would be safe. But the pain coursing all throughout your body and the tears that you’re trying so hard to hold back makes you doubt it a little bit.

By the time you both reach the port, you head on straight to your boat and grab the supplies you have already separated for Ace. You throw the sack at him and he catches it with ease.

“You have Marco’s vivre card, right?” You ask.

He nods.

“Good. Just follow that. With the Striker, I’m sure you’ll reach the crew in a week or two.”

“You aren’t coming with me?”

You shake your head. “No. I actually have another mission to do,” you lie. You raise your right hand to point to the town. “Actually I’m heading there right now,” you say as you slowly walk backwards away from Ace. “So, see you in a month, I guess?”

You turn around to head back to the town, but Ace grabs a hold of your hand. “Wait!”

Ace isn’t using his powers, but why does his touch burn?

You look back at him, but your eyes refuse to meet his, so instead, you stare at the knife safely strapped on his hips. It’s the knife you originally owned but you have given it to him as a sign of your loyalty when he became your captain.

He removes his hold on you.

“What?” You ask.

“I can help you with it and we’ll—”

“No, don’t,” you sharply say.

Ace flinches at your tone.

You internally scold yourself for your hostility. Ace doesn’t deserve this. It isn’t his fault he doesn’t like you the same way. You sigh, “I’m sorry. I’ll just… see you off first before I go do this mission.”

You don’t leave any option for him so he has no choice but to comply. You can only watch in silence as Ace prepares to leave.

The truth is that you don’t have any mission aside from bringing Ace back to the crew. But you know Ace, you know that he’s not going to be able to stop thinking about Blackbeard and his deed. He won’t ever be able to rest properly and peacefully if no one’s going to continue this search. So for once, you’re shouldering this task for him.

It’s a dangerous mission, you’re aware. Espionage isn’t exactly what you’re best at. But for Ace you’d do this. For him, you’d set yourself on fire if it meant keeping him safe. For Ace you’d even die as long as he lived.

Once he has safely boarded on his raft, you both bid each other goodbyes. Even if you’re determined to get back to him, somehow it feels like this goodbye is going to be the last. And yet, you watch him go along with the sun.

In this story, cellphones, apartments, TVs, and movies exist for the sake of plot, I'm sorry if this is a bit trashy, I just wrote this in 4 hours. Also i know that Viktor's the only person from zaun who lives in piltover but for a lil spice, you are from there too ✨

- Jayce knew you as a very happy-go-lucky and selfless person, you were always on the positive side on every situation and it was hard to bring your spirits down despite always putting other in front of you.

- You and jayce knew each other since you were kids, though you weren't as close to him as caitlyn, you still managed to stay in touch

- Your relationship with him grew closer when he started studying in the academy. You sometimes stopped by his family's workshop to hang out and watch him work

- By the time you both grew into adulthood and he found his place in the council after hextech, you became even closer due to your jobs overlapping from time to time

- Your job was transporting goods between nations, which included required supplies and tools for Hextech. You usually meet up with Jayce at the gates of piltover for pick-up and whenever you do, one of you treats the other to a day outside.

- You usually take turns on who gets to plan out the day, all while Caitlyn keeps shipping- i mean politely setting you up with Jayce in the background

- During these outings, you'd be the most physical out of the three of you, always hooking an arm around Jayce's shoulder after she won something at a carnival and holding his hand as you explore distant, abandoned areas in piltover.

- This particular day was a complete catastrophe, a shit-astrophe, one might call it from how much you went through. Almost every delivery was delayed, which led to your superior, Hoskel, give you a full and loud lecture about the schedules right in front of the counsel, making a big scene leaving you to exit awkwardly out of the room, apologizing quietly and holding back tears.

- He was practically screaming, "What do you mean it'll be held back for another week? That milk would mold into rocks by the time they reach the other traders!" You tried to reason, tried to make something of such an awful situation, "I'm sorry sir, but with the Hexgates down-" "Don't remind me! Just return to your post and do whatever you can to get my trading back on track! I swear, this is why we shouldn't hire mongrel bottom-dwellers like you..." You leave, whispering a sorry

- Jayce, not being in the room at the time, was with caitlyn outside, waiting for your shift to end. You called him and apologized, saying weren't in the mood to go today. He was about to brush it off as you being too tired, but then he heard a crack in your voice right before you ended the call

- He goes to your apartment and sees you open the door with a tear-stained face, glooming on the floor unable to reach his face.

- Jayce heard what happened from Heimerdinger, he met him on the way to your apartment as he asked about your delivery that day. He may have had a talk with Hoskel after that but he wanted to focus on you

- He comforts you about what happened earlier and decides to spend the night at your place watching a movie

- "What happened to you wasn't fair in any way, I'm sorry I wasn't there. It wasn't your fault, Y/N, it's all okay now. Rest for me."

- You fall asleep in his arms with your head on his chest. He was busy watching the movie while you were off into a dream where you're lying down in a garden with him on a picnic, laughing as you watched the clouds drift through the sky

- You grinned and mumbled, "Flower crowns for you, Jayce... love you"

- His face was undescribably red and was frozen in place on the couch (not that he can move with your position)

- Let's just say you're gonna have a sweet chat with him when you rise from your dreamland 😉

How did you know that Jean and Mikasa would be together before 139? I'm a JK fan and never noticed that Isayama was planning to leave them together haha, I feel kind of silly

Well well...

For me, figuring out JeanKasa endgame was the last step of figuring out Mikasa’s character arc. Like the final puzzle piece that in itself might not be super important but it finishes the picture. It was a very long process and I honestly don’t think I can remember it all but I’ll try. I’m putting a cut because it’ll be long and by that I mean LONG.

Funnily enough, few years back when I was discussing AOT with a friend he suddenly said Mikasa and Jean will end up together. I was very surprised because I had never considered it. But more importantly, I didn't want to consider it because I still had a bit of hope left for EreMika. In fact I got into a fight with him, not serious fight but a fight. The thing is EreMika is the central relationship of AOT (not necessarily in a romantic sense) and as its rival ship JeanKasa always remains in its shadows. So for me to see JeanKasa, first I had to give up on EreMika and accept that the narrative was not painting Mikasa’s over-attachment to Eren in a positive light. Which I wasn’t able to do until the table scene in 112.

Eren and Mikasa’s relationship has had questionable elements since the very beginning of the story, but they were easier to ignore back then. Also, there’s always a chance that things will change. Shounen romance often involves girl in love and guy who doesn’t seem to care but they still end up together (my other favourite ship lowkey falls under this trope). So I was like maybe? But post Marley arc the narrative was making it more and more difficult to overlook the problems in EM anymore. So it was around that time I finally accepted EM wasn’t happening and Eren was most likely dying and figured out Mikasa was gonna live on and have her own family in the end. So the question was with whom? And the only option presented by canon was Jean. So I considered it for the first time. But I wasn’t very convinced.

Then, I think it was in chapter 125 or 126, where Armin and Mikasa have the argument and she goes to help Jean. It was not a romantic implication but they were being set together as characters which caught my attention. Also, interaction between romantically paired characters doesn’t have to be strictly romantic. But my problem was I wasn’t sure Jean still has romantic feelings for Mikasa. I knew he loves her and cares for her, but the romantic feeling plotline hadn’t been brought up explicitly in a long time, so there was a chance it had been abandoned? Therefore, I had my doubts. Then, chapter 127 came out and that was where I was finally convinced. I think when it comes to ships, your personal biases can affect your reading. Shippers tend to see things that are not there and ignore things that are clearly there. I was able to see JeanMika only after giving up on EM (and I wasn’t even that much into EM, so I can very well understand why hardcore shippers were so surprised to see JK). And for me it was easier because both Mikasa and Jean are my favourites. Anyway, the reason 127 convinced me.

Firstly it answered my question regarding Jan’s feelings. Which was introduced very early in the story and never played any role. But Yams was telling us that it was still relevant to the story. That most likely meant its role was yet to come. If you put an element in a story, it must serve a purpose, otherwise don’t put it there. At least ideally you shouldn’t.

Another interesting thing. I had always thought Mikasa was gonna have kids of her own. Her backstory begins with her mother passing down her family’s tattoo to her and asking her to pass it down to her children. And we have little Mikasa asking her parents how babies are made. Seemed like a pretty obvious implication. This topic is brought up again later when Kiyomi is introduced. Also in Marley when Eren kills children, Mikasa condemns him for that. In fact that was where I pretty much knew that Eren and Mikasa are not having kids together, aka a traditional ‘happy ending’ for them is out of the window. I just wasn’t ready to accept it yet. Now coming back to Jean’s dream. I didn’t notice the scar btw, still I could clearly see she looks very much like Mikasa. And she is holding a baby. Jean is outside, looking at them through the window which makes sense since it’s his dream. But the idea presented was once again, Mikasa as a mother. Which caught my attention. That’s when I went back and re-read the manga from the beginning and actively compared Eren and Jean’s characters and their respective relationships with Mikasa.

Their first meeting drew my attention this time. No other canon couple’s first meeting has been highlighted like that, YumiHisu, AruAni, Falbi, none (you could say NiccoSasha but NiccoSasha hardly feels like a couple). Only EreMika and JeanKasa. And unlike EM where the setting is a bit disturbing and has a tragic undertone to it, JK’s is rather normal and more importantly, it’s set as a romantic scene.

Another interesting element for me was Mikasa’s scar. It drew my attention for two reasons. Firstly because Yams made Jean the first person to address it. Could have used anyone, Armin was right there, but he chose Jean to bring it up and confront Eren. So the pattern felt like Eren gives her the scar (not intentionally) and Jean is the one questioning that. Tbh Mikasa getting the scar was one of the earliest red flags for me and the reason I tried to keep my attachment to EM to a minimum. You see, I have ships who have actively tried to kill each other but the thing is none of them actually managed to put a scratch on the other. They almost did, but something or someone always came between and stopped them. Almosts can be very important in a story, they tell you a lot. The fact that Yams let Eren cross the almost and actually hurt Mikasa and he put a permanent scar literally on her face, did not make things look very promising for EM. Secondly, it felt like a parallel between Mikasa’s feelings for Eren and Jean’s feelings for Mikasa. We have Mikasa blindly trying to cover up for Eren and Jean who despite liking Mikasa, is calling her out on her nonsense. He is being rational, she is not. To me at least it felt intentional. Like being up to date with the story, I knew the narrative was actively highlighting the problems in EM’s relationship and I could see how JM, the rival ship, was free from said problems. So figuring out JK will happen was basically figuring out why EM won’t happen and as its ‘better’ alternative as presented by the narrative, JM was the option.

Another prominent moment I remember is in Marley where Jean shoots a thunderspear at Falco. And he misses it. The way I interpreted it, he tried to do his duty but in his mind he wasn’t prepared to kill a kid. Another almost. He almost does it but in the end he doesn’t. Which paralleled imo Mikasa’s disapproval of killing kids and contrasted Eren’s killing of children.

You see, the difference in JK and EM is like the difference in Jean and Eren. The former is presented by the narrative as a ‘better’ version of the latter. But the thing is Jean is a side character while Eren is the MC, JK is a sideship while EM is the main ship. So Jean and JK will always be shadowed by Eren and EM. Comparisons are easier to notice when it happens between equals and since that’s not the case here, unless you’re very attentive there’s a good chance you’ll miss it. I mean I did for most of the story. But the contrast was there from the very beginning.

Jean has been set as a foil to Eren’s character since he was introduced. When the story begins, we have Jean who is very self centred and doesn’t care about the world. And we have Eren challenging that ideology. We love Eren there and idk about others, but I disliked Jean at the beginning lol. From there, at 127 we have the roles reversed. Jean has had a positive development and is now putting the world before his own selfish desires while Eren has had a negative development and has become a monster by his own definition of a monster. And their bonds with Mikasa have also gone through a similar pattern. By the final arc therefore we have a very confused Mikasa, who has lost her faith in Eren. He feels like a different person altogether. And on the other hand we have Jean, who has become one of her closest friends and someone she can put her faith in. Especially since even Armin is very confused about Eren and Jean kind of stands out as the only one who is able to think clearly. In the time her bond with Eren fell apart, her bond with Jean (or say Sasha or Connie) built up. Bit by bit over time. That’s how human bonds are supposed to form. While with Eren, he was a complete stranger who saved her life and wrapped the scarf on her and suddenly out of trauma response she held onto him with everything she had. In a moment, he went from being a nobody to being her entire world. That’s not how human relationships are supposed to develop. Eren and Mikasa’s bond has been faulty since day one. If I get into these details it’ll become long so I won’t because it’s not relevant to this ask. All I’m trying to say is once again, JM does not have the problems of EM. It’s not just JM, Mikasa’s every bond except the one with Eren is free from said problems. So you could ask why am I singling out JM? Simply because we’re talking romantic pairings and canonically JM is where the romantic potential has been placed.

The nature of EM and JM imo are very well captured in their first meetings. EM’s is tragic yet beautiful, both beauty and cruelty are present together and there’s too much of both. It almost creates a conflict. It’s exactly how Eren and Mikasa’s relationship is. Too tumultuous, a lot of pushing and pulling going on at the same time. While JM’s meeting is a rather normal one with romantic implication. So is their bond. Just two people getting to know each other and becoming friends, and one of them being romantically interested in the other. It doesn’t have the extreme highs of EM but also doesn’t have its extreme lows. It’s as if JM remains stable somewhere between the extreme fluctuations of EM.

Mikasa and Jean’s characters are also very compatible with similar dreams and motivations etc. To quote my own post, Jean is everything Mikasa wants, except he’s not Eren. And Eren is nothing Mikasa wants. In fact, more than Eren, Jean is closer to the person Mikasa thinks Eren is. Which can all be just a coincident in a real world setting, but in a story where everything is set up by a writer, they most likely won’t be. So, I was pretty much convinced that JeanKasa was happening.

Anything I can mention post 127 comes from that belief. You see, once the idea is in your head, a lot of things can look like a clue but if the idea doesn’t exist in your head, you’ll totally not see it as anything important. The one important scene post 127 for me was 136 when it was Jean who finally succeeded in making Mikasa agree to kill Eren. It also drew my attention when she was showing concern for Jean and Reiner as they were going for Eren. But to me, more than Jean, her concern for Reiner was a greater focus since Reiner had been an enemy she had fought against in the past, when Eren was her ally. Jean had always been on her side. Around 137 is when I became a shipper so from that point everything I thought should be taken with a grain of salt. I personally liked the way she was holding him after he came from literally blowing Eren’s head off and in 138 I felt like Yams drew them next to each other in many panels. I mean he was putting them next to each other the whole rumbling arc but chapter 138 had too many panels imo. None of these is very solid proof of anything. Like in original 139, people were making JK endgame theories based on their hairstyles which now looks valid but at that time it was nothing more than a theory. There was nothing solid to either support or refute it.

The thing is I never felt that the romantic aspect was a big part of Jean and Mikasa’s bond. It felt more like a future element sneaked in there to give us readers a hint. Even now when they’re endgame, in the timeline of the story their relationship still reads to me as just friends and comrades. Jean had clearly given up on Mikasa. To me his dream in 127 is just a moment of weakness. It’s like an impossible dream. We all have those dreams we know 99% chance is won’t come true but sometimes it’s fun to dream about the 1%. So I saw it happening, but only in a timeskip, as it did. And it felt rather natural to me. Given Mikasa’s character, it made sense for her to find love again. Her character theme is about going on, and keep finding beauty even after you face cruelty. So if she gives up on her dream of a family just because Eren is gone, to me it felt like a contradiction to said theme. She must not stop. She’s broken but she must pick up the pieces and continue her journey. What she thought she could only have with Eren, her having it with someone other than Eren seemed like a perfect conclusion for her. Her biggest fear, the fear that paralysed her for years, coming true and yet, it’s not the end of the world like she had thought it would be. Now I didn’t think Armin had to have a family, or Reiner. Because it’s not part of their character arcs. But a family and peaceful life are Mikasa’s biggest motivation and also Jean’s so thematically it felt like a perfect closure to both of their arcs. Of course Jean isn’t as important a character so the deciding factor in my case was Mikasa. In fact I thought the guy in the infamous ‘last panel’ was Jean with his and Mikasa’s baby. I even drew Jean with a baby like that panel but thankfully I never posted it so at least I didn’t embarrass myself lol.

In follow-up tweets, Robertson claims that he's not trying to "cancel" Leavitt. None of this information is particularly private, but he felt it important to share to help people make more informed choices over whether to support Hogwarts Legacy.

Yeah, mhm. I believe you. Totally. Your intentions were 100% pure. For sure. Yup. Funny how one minute it’s “cancel culture isn’t real” and the next it’s “I’m not trying to cancel anyone!! Honestly!!!”

Many fans have expressed concerns over Leavitt’s involvement with Hogwarts Legacy since his YouTube history came up a few days ago, spurred on by the controversies already surrounding the upcoming game.

I can almost guarantee you that not a single person genuinely interested in this game after JK Rowling’s mishaps is expressing concerns over this. If they actually cared about this, they would’ve abandoned ship after the JK thing. No fan cares about this. Not a one.

Several users on popular gaming forum ResetEra have asked moderators to ban Hogwarts Legacy discussion altogether due to both Rowling’s influence on the franchise and Leavitt’s work as lead designer, a request moderators seem to be taking seriously.

Define “popular” because again, no one legitimate actually uses ReeeesetEra. You couldn’t have picked a worse sampling of “gamers”. I’d have taken a subreddit more seriously than anything from ResetEra.

Video games are made by massive teams of people with vastly different backgrounds, viewpoints, and opinions. Even as lead designer, it’s very unlikely Leavitt has single-handedly infected every aspect of Hogwarts Legacy with an anti-feminist agenda. That said, it’s obvious why folks might be wary of interacting with a game developed by someone with his beliefs, adapted from works that have been sullied by their creator’s own bigoted worldview.

I`m not a jikooker or shipper but sometimes i lurked to read what you think it`s interesting. About V...I have had some thoughts about him. He's handsome and funny, but I have noticed lately that he seems a little self absorbed. It seems that it needs to be all about him. I noticed his behavior in the Vminkook vlive, I noticed it on stage, I noticed it during Hobi's vlive where he brought up having dinner and "adult conversation " with JK and saying that Jk says he's happy with some type of look on his face that implied something.. but I don't know what, I wondered what the point was of reporting this in the Hobi live stream. To make it clear that yes he and JK also spend a lot of time together off camera?..and now with posting pictures of him and JK several times. I don't think he understands how all this make the shippers of tkk hate on Jimin even more. However It feels like V is envious of Jimin's relationship with JK and their closeness. I feel like when JM and JK show attention towards each other that V seems to do something to take that attention away and put it back on Taekook ship. I mean, I know that V and Jimin are close, but I feel that JM is closer to JK.

I think in recent months Tae has become a master at staying in the spotlight no matter what. That being said, I don't think the company is behind every post and telling them what to put up or not. Like him deleting post was his decision too imho. I've noticed over the past few months that he's been "feeding" the shippers fantasies unintentionally or not. I think Tae likes to be the most loved member. Since Taekook is the most liked ship and a picture of him and JK gets millions of likes, theories, love stories and most importantly discussions (not always in a good way though), what better way to stay in the spotlight. Especially when JK abandoned his beloved to go back to Korea with his "big brothers", what better way to get the message across than to post two innocent photos to make it clear that you miss someone alot? He could post pictures with his soulmate or Jin, but out of 4 posts, 2 are with JK.

A while back he was asked to post a selfie and he posted on weverse a picture of baby Bam and him with the words "I raised him". I don't think that was innocent either.

Some weird Jkkrs are celebrating the fact that Taekook is real. And now I'm taking a holiday from the networks because it's all beyond me. I just wish Jimin would go through all this hate without realizing it, JK and Tae too. But as much as I didn't find Tae's behavior in his last vlive natural, his behavior of the last few weeks reinforces my feeling. He's very aware of all and very clever.

You're definitely not the only one who has noticed these things, and I agree. I mean, I've noticed and I've seen other people say the same, people who geniunely like everyone in BTS and have never said anything remotely bad about them, I've seen them say the same about Taehyung lately, more especifically since the end of 2020. I do think he can be self absorbed and confident to a fault. Most of the times I feel like he's doing things on purpose and then just playing dumb about it which is literally the worst I can notice in someone. I don't care if you want to be mean or something, but don't pretend like you don't know what you're doing. That type of stuff bothers me from anyone, whether it's my family or V from BTS.

I've said before that sometimes to me it feels like he wants to be included. I think taekook might be his way of being included. I don't know if he's jealous of the in real life friendship between Jimin and Jungkook but he probably wants people to gush and swoon over them as they gush and swoon over jikook. People think fanservice is all about making out on stage or sitting on each other's laps but fanservice is also rookie groups saying "we're a family" when they've just met each other a year ago. It's about showing people how "close" you all are, and how supportive of each other and how much you love each other and it works! People, fans of these groups look at them and actually say "I want what they have". Taehyung knows this well. He has SAID IT himself that part of his work is to show his chemistry with the other members. Why is it only Jungkook that he shows, who knows. Maybe Jungkook is an easy target because he's the maknae, I don't know. I don't doubt tho that Taehyung and Jungkook love and like each other. I don't think Taehyung's gonna post pictures with anyone other member tho.

The photo with Bam too was so obvious but well. It was like when he said he fed Jungkook or something like that when he was younger and that Jungkook can’t live without him. He seems to like making himself look indispensable at times, but then he’s begging people to cook for him lol. And I remember his letter to Jimin on BV Hawaii saying how Jimin is always the one taking care of him and apologizing for being on the receiving end of Jimin’s attentions without giving back much. So he’s probably just overcompensating with “I took care of him” thing.

I also think that he’s probably still trying to make up for the conversation they had in ITS and trying hard to show how close he and Jungkook they are now. Honeslty, that conversation only made things worse. And they are close, but yeah there’s that feeling that he’s overcompensating again.

What I believe is that Taehyung had a crisis, a professional crisis where to me it felt like he didn't want to be in BTS anymore or was too tired to go on. Early last year the members kept telling him to talk to them if he was sad, then around dynamite/BE they kept praising him for even showing up to schedules, or for being in time to schedules. They literally just kept thanking him for showing up to work. It was really weird and nothing like that had ever happened with anyone else. All of this added to what he himself said in ITS that he didn't feel loved and that he would go online just to feel like armys loved him. I really think he had a crisis. And when he came out of the crisis, he was more confident than ever and ready to take the world by storm, which is that cocky/self-absorbed/extra confident attitude you're talking about. He's never cared much about consequences, and he's acted "bratty" and defiant towards the company and staff all the time, so I honestly think that even if he knows about the hate and everything surrounding taekook, he wouldn't stop. He just doesn't seem to care that much... about anything at all lmao.

Me too, I’m just waiting for season greetings because I wanna see the pictures but after that I’ll be staying away from everything BTS related for a while.

G. Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?

i usually write in order from the first chapter to the last. for each chapter, before i do any actual writing, i write out everything that's gonna happen in the chapter, like a synopsis. and then once i have every chapter sorted out, then i physically write them out one by one.

if it's a one off fic, i might write out some dialogue randomly if i think of it and want it to occur but don't know where yet. i've learned to do this just bc i have the memory of a spoon lol

i see every fic i write as movie or show, so it's easy to go "scene" by "scene" rather than sporadically.

N. Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?

yes. the sequel to "give your heart a break". it's up for grabs yall lol jk

S. Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?

honestly, idk if this is a trope, but i love when ppl write colby as sarcastic and dry and a bit broody. especially the sarcastic part.

i write colby as a lot more sarcastic than i actually think he is. i usually write colby kinda like how my humor is irl, but i don't think that's really realistic. i feel like my humor (or how i write colby) is probs closer to sam rather than colby lol

um... not a trope, but solby. i don't read or interact with fics that have solby in them. and i think the reason why i dislike solby in fics so much is bc some fans read those stories and then believe it. like, if you enjoy reading solby fics, that's fine. but don't ship them irl. they clearly love each other dearly but only in a PLATONIC way.

i mean i have a problem in general with fans taking two guys who are just friends, and that are real ppl, and trying to find some weird way to see if they're gay or secretly dating. i've seen it in so many fandoms, it's ridiculous.

F: What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? What fandom was it?

I'm struggling to answer this one because before starting to post my works on AO3 and starting to be active here on Tumblr I was writing fics in my native language (which isn't English as you know lol). And when you don't have a big population of people speaking the same language and being into the same media, you don't have such a harsh line between different fandoms. Sure it's usually one thing that brings people together, and the biggest fandom was the Harry Potter universe that brought us together. But even the site I used to post, which was mainly a Harry Potter fanfic site allowed fics from different fandoms. And then again I barely wrote a Harry Potter fic or two so I wouldn't consider that the fandom I've been in the longest. After a while I started posting my fics on LiveJournal and we had a pretty nice community of people but even then it was a bit of a mix and match who liked what show/book series. Those people got me into Teen Wolf and I've been very active in that fandom for multiple years, so that might technically be the longest. However, I'm pretty sure the OL/LJG fandom is starting to rival that by now 😉

J: Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr.

Black Sails! That was a Tumblr influence and what a great influence lmao I ended up reading many great fics in that fandom.

Q: A ship you’ve abandoned and why.

This is a tricky question as well. Because you can naturally shift away from certain fandoms altogether with time. So for example, I don't read/write Teen Wolf fanfics anymore. But that doesn't mean I abandoned any ships there in my opinion.

I was such a Steter shipper btw in case anyone is curious and I'm still shipping them so I wouldn't say I've abandoned them. If I heard correctly, they are making a movie and who knows?

So maybe this question refers to a case where you are still active in the fandom but you don't really read/write a ship that you used to? And I'll be completely honest with you: the first ship that popped into my mind when I saw this question was John/Jamie. 😬😬😬

I know that might upset some people and it's not *quite* true that I've abandoned them. I still read a lot of fic with that ship that my very-very talented friends write and I enjoy them a lot 😘 But I don't go out of my way searching for fic with them. And unless Jack is also in the mix I also don't really write with them anymore.

Maybe I just said everything I had to say about them and now I'm sailing next to the big ship on my small floaties/pool noodles.

Or maybe canon!Jamie has just been an asshole to John long enough that I think John deserves better. 😬😅😹 (/jk. or am I?)

Introducing the girlfriends: the looks.

Hello puppets! In this post I’d like to show how I imagine the OC Girlfriends in terms of face and looks, mostly in terms of fashion.

I won’t state how many times my self esteem abandoned the conversation as I made this post, so let me do a disclaimer before I make y’all suffer with me (sorry). These pictures come from my Pinterest board called “Simply incredible people”, which contains mostly photos of people that have very unique facial traits and that I use for reference. Now, ALL OF THESE ARE MODELS. They were photographed BECAUSE after hours of makeup and hair and clothes chosen perfectly for them, a set made up specifically to enhance their good looks, a fair bit of photoshop and unfairly good genetics they were put in the position of being beautified. Don’t think that these gorgeous folks are The Thing: I picked them because of specific reasons explained under each picture, and in my opinion all the guys are pretty far from dating perfect young women with perfectly symmetrical features and flawless complexion and... all of that. However, yes, in my mind they date regular, “unbeautified” versions of these women. If your self esteem can’t handle disgustingly beautiful models, then please, don’t open the “read more”. Also, you’re absolutely free to keep imagining your ideal girls and not check out this post, no hard feelings ✌️😘

However, if — like me — you are incredibly attracted to girls with pretty unique facial features, then do open. If you’ like girls, I’m sorry, you might have one (or more) new crush(es) after this post.

Now, all of the girls have Asian traits — because according to my plots and headcanons, (which you can find in my masterlist) the guys have always met their s/o while in Seoul/Korea and also because I’ve always imagined the girls Asian. However, I’m not saying that they like these specific types or looks, or that they’ll end up with a person with traditionally Asian traits: I am simply assuming in statistic terms. Also, since I write memberxFem!reader, they’re obviously all girls.

I only know two of the people inserted here (that is Vixen and Kitten). I might have accidentally inserted someone famous, however that was not my intention. Also, the girls have been chosen exclusively for facial features: there is no shipping going on between real people here.

Baby face: yes

Doll lips: yes

Very intense, borderline scary, November-baby glance: yes.

This is Vixen, with her baby cheeks, her sharp, refined looks and a doll-like face that mixes innocence and seduction. Top that with deep red lipstick and artsy jewellery. Her eyes show ten thousand different feelings and her face is suitable for acting, being extremely expressive: every little sensation and emotion can be found in a quirk of the mouth or an arching of the eyebrow, a little curl of the nose or a pursing of her lips.

— The Look —

Total black winter look, basic and classy, thigh-high boots for her long legs, simple, plain bags and purses, and finally a long coat to keep her warm over her dresses usually characterised by a high neck and a generous slice of leg. But don’t let that fool you: her favourite looks are oversized sweaters stolen from Namjoon’s wardrobe — that obviously fit like dresses on her —, fluffy woolen tights or stockings and comfy shoes when they go on breakfast dates, but also thick jumpers, large jeans and comfy sneakers when they go for walks and bike trips.

Angel (Seokjin)

— The Face —

Traditional Korean Beauty: yes

Big eyes: yes

Soft pink lips: yes

Angel is the definition of Korean Beauty, looking young and innocent. She could easily have the face of an idol, with the purest of charms. And her cute bangs... yes.

— The Look —

Even though her job requires a total black look, which often means pretty flats, black trousers and a turtleneck, in her free time she likes wearing preppy looks, with lots of plaid prints and cute dresses that match Korean standards, with not-too-revealing necklines and a skirt that hits just above the knee. Match it all with cute, warm coats and small bags.

Kitten (Yoongi)

— The Face —

Intimidating look: yes

Angular jaw: yes

Plush lips: yes

Kitten has angular, almost aggressive facial features, characterised mostly by the rectangular shape of her face and her jaw, and quite jutting cheekbones. She has a rough, tough beauty which can be difficult to understand but absolutely charming to observe.

— The Look —

Another one with total black, but unlike Vixen, who likes coloured clothes once winter ends, Kitten keeps the black look all year round, inserting tiny splashes of colours with accessories and jackets. Expect a lot of turtlenecks and blazers for her work attire, but also fancy shirts for more elegant occasions, mostly silk blouses that offer a generous view of her bosom.

Giggles (Hoseok)

— The Face —

Strawberry blonde: yes

Freckles: yes

Too cute: yes

I’ve always imagined Giggles with a mop of messy reddish-blonde hair, may it be natural or dyed. I know the combo is pretty rare; still, she’s a fictional character so... a girl can dream.

— The Look —

A vintage mess of prints. She messes around with flowers and stripes and plaids and colours. You could most definitely spot her in a crowd. Even when she’s working (remember she’s a vet), she has very colourful scrubs and bright coloured clogs/nurse shoes. Overall too cute and tiny for her good, her being so small makes it easy for her to shop in the children department and find even more coloured, fancy prints.

Princess (Jimin)

— The Face —

Overall cute: yes

Gaze to command a photo shoot: yes

Borderline scary both in terms of beauty and power: yes

This small girl has the power to supervise everything, you can read it on her face (remember she works for a fashion magazine and organises photoshoots). Sheer calculating, organising force. And with a gaze like that, ready to make you wither and die were you to deny her, you see specifically why I chose her.

— The Look —

Smart attire, comfortable flats or slippers to dash from a place to another. Comfy, fashionable, practical. She’s always on a rush from an appointment to the other and she uses bags big enough to hold a skirt and a pair of heels in case she needs more elegant attire for a last-minute evening appointment in fashionable clubs and restaurants. She’s more than happy to play Barbie for Jimin, letting him choose how to dress her.

Lace (Taehyung)

— The Face —

Louder big dick energy than your ex: yes

A neck to die for: yes

Eclectic charm: yes

Honestly, I think Lace is too particular — strange even — to find someone who could possibly embody her. What made me pick this specific woman was her very incisive choice in clothing and accessories, but I’ll update her sooner or later, I think. As me and my friend said: you don’t find Lace, is Lace that finds you. (Also, if anyone has a Lace to suggest, please send links 💖)

— The Look —

Black tight dresses, all the time. Tight pencil skirts and anything that screams Fifties housewife; lots of robes, unusual cuts and premium fabrics — she is a designer and lingerie maker, after all. She doesn’t follow trends, she makes them. She is literally one of those people who looks good even with the most hideous, unfashionable things on. However, the moment she wears a silk slip dress, her power intensifies by a few thousand times — do not expect Taehyung not to get weak in the knees. In the house she’s absolutely comfortable wearing a robe with nothing underneath — and sometimes she doesn’t even tie it close. Taehyung is perfectly okay with that.

Candy (Jungkook)

— The Face —

Biggest smile: yes

Cutest lil nose: yes

Very squishable: yes

The small happy bean is a very gentle bean too. She is a graphic designer and a cartoon artist and it shows in her whole being, even in her facial features. I imagine her hair not too long, soft and wavy — though the most valuable asset to Jk is their scent. And look at those sweater(shirt) paws!!! Adorable.

First rule of Candy and Jk’s relationship is “my flannel shall be thy flannel”. Their wedding rings will probably be flannel shirts. Candy likes to pull them off with oversized sweats or coloured jeans. She also wears oversized sweaters — probably stolen from Jk’s wardrobe — together with leggins and mid-calf socks, especially since her workplace is not too strict with dresscode. She likes oversized and layered fits, using light cotton shirts and tank tops in the summer and fleece/flannel shirt and warm woolen turtlenecks in winter. Comfort always comes first. Expect her to use biker shorts and giant T-shirts and bulky shoes in the summer on her spare time.

Sora Choi and Yoon Young Bae are the two models that I immediately spotted respectively for Kitten and Vixen and the fact that they posed together made me super soft (I literally fell in love with both of them). Oh also!!! Yoon has posted on her insta the sweetest picture of her with a snow bear and it was like... a sign, but also so endearing and I’M SMITTEN, HEAD TO TOE IN LOVE WITH THIS SMALL CUTE LIL POTATO. She’s a cutie and Sora has the prettiest smile I swear to God I’d give the world for these two. *bisexuality upgrades*
