Chai and Watercolour
Cuppa: Mighty Chai with milk and sugar
View: watercolour work in progress. I'm really enjoying learning watercolour, it's challenging in just the right way.
Snack: home made Irish-style wheaten soda bread (made in the slow cooker! I'm so proud) with butter.
Hopefully this marks a new start of actually posting regularly! Apologies to those of you I abandoned in the middle of Kyoto.

I launched FFXIV and 5 minutes into new content I was already drooling. Zero’s curry looked delicious 🤤 I made my first garlic naan today with some chicken tikka masala since I was super lucky and had all the ingredients at home! I did order Kashmiri chili powder for next time though. Still, craving satiated and I have leftovers too! The second picture is the game version of what I saw. Now, let’s see if I can play some more and not drool every time. 🤣

Today was the first day of my Board exams and my parents bought me these when I was at school from a nearby shopping mall:
And also day before yesterday, my uncle and aunt had sent me this beautiful bookmark as a gift of well wishes for my exams:
@sofiathehooman , you may like the above picture because it contains too much chocolate.
@shorukarts , you may like the second one because there is a butterfly.

It doesn't work all the time but ususally my doomerism can be a temporarily righted by eating a portion of tikka masala and then mopping up the leftover sauce from the bottom of the dish with naan that I've torn into pieces. I think about the thousands of years across generations of people in nearly every culture using a starch to deliver the last bits of flavor and also so they don't have to scrub the dishes as much after dinner. Using bread to get sauce makes me feel connected to my fellow man in a way no religion ever managed.
