Friday the 13th (2009)

Friday the 13th begins with a nighttime thunderstorm with extreme strobe effects related to the lightning. A storm with that same effect happens very late in the film, as people escape from below ground level. Important plot points happen during both of these scenes. A few other moments show police lights at night.

The camera shakes violently during a few action scenes.

Flashing Lights: 10/10. Motion Sickness: 6/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: Jump scares, and bloody violence with some gore.

Music Rec Monday Tuesday

Wintersong by Marcus Warner

So, I kinda skipped a couple weeks of music recs, sorry guys. IRL work was kicking my ass and I couldn't even write very much and time just got away from me. But I have the week off and I'm catching up on stuff.

So, the current song is this one. I've been listening to it on repeat for chapter four of Project Zander. The trio is stuck in a snowy, foresty landscape having a Hell of a Time. You'd think the enchanting beauty of this song would be a horrible choice to write something like that, but it actually captured a lot of moments I imagined pretty well.

Beyond that, I've always loved how ethereal and emotional this song is. It's so full of majesty and wonder but there's an undertone of sadness and longing to it. It's a good multifaceted song to immerse in and let it slowly uncover the different layers of a story.
