So, you've talked about a lot of the relationships in Moor on the Hill, can you give some headcanons on them please?

I think I've told some of these to @blackbutlerfandomnerddomain so I may steal some of those back idk lol

Idk if I'll mention this in the AU itself but Scourge x Ashfur is actually a poly of Scourge, Ashfur, Ravenpaw, Bone and Brick

Sol is dating Little'cloud and Blackstar, which took a while, especially for Little'cloud who knew all along that Sol was manipulating Blackstar, but Sol loves their bfs

Longfire is very much a thing and I love it so much

Mapleshade, Snow'tuft and Freckle'wish have been a thing for as long as anyone can remember

Ivybreezeant got together a few months Antpelt was killed

Flamejaykestrel dance together a lot in the dream world

Tallstar is the reason the Windclan has gay rights, he is married to Barkface and Jake

Pine'star and Goose'feather married once they died because Goose'feather was finally comfortable enough to be married since he didn't have to deal all of his mental problems now

Blackstar has missed several apprentice naming duties or had them late because Sol and Littlecloud (mostly Sol) were tired as shit from a gathering/moonpool meeting/etc

Barley doesn't know of Raven'paws relationship

Mapleshade has adopted all the gay dark forest cats/trainees as her children

Antpelt will cling onto Breeze/Ivy non stop

Scourge and his bfs are the whole reason Ruggie knew what polyamory was at first

Ravenpaw will just walk into meetings that Scourge is having, give him a kiss and take a short nap on the couch Scourge has in his office and Scourge is 100% fine with this

Darkstripe and Tigerstar's first date was breaking into Starclan and stealing food, very romantic

jay'feather really likes stuff like rings and necklaces cuz he can fidget with them so Flame and Kestrel go and make him so fidget necklace and rings and Jayfeather loves them so much

Berry'nose was so flustered when he was asked to join the poly because behind that big, jock exterior is just a blushy bisexual who didn't know his joke-y flirting would go anywhere

Longtail had to go and meet Jake, Tallstar and Bark'face when he first started dating Fireheart/star and he was so nervous but they liked him pretty well

Blossomfall and Mistberry are the most recent couple in the series, only getting together a month before the canon takes place

So, the first kiss of a dark forest cat to a living leaves a marking, well so do more after that too so now Breezepelt and ivy'pool have more black spots on them then anything, which they actively encourage

Lionblaze is dating Toadstep and Lionblaze hypes him up so much and its just the cutest

Frecklewish brushes Mapleshades hair despite her protests

Snowtuft makes sure that any of the dark forest apprentices have the best clothes for any of their dates

Warrior Cats Twenty Questions

Figured I’d answer these, since it’ll be pretty long I’ll put it under a read more

1. How did you get into Warriors?: I can’t really remember at this point? It was some time in middle school. I think my cousin was interested in them and showed them to me in the library. All I remember is that the first book I read was Eclipse and I was hella confused.

2. Favorite Arc: I’ve only read up to like half of oots but I think I have to say the first one? It’s just the best written and a majority of my favorite characters are in it.

3. Favorite Book (excluding mangas, super editions, novellas): This is hard considering how long it’s been since I read the books but I think it’s a tie between Fire and Ice and Forest of Secrets.

4. Favorite Super Edition, Novella, or Manga: Tallstar’s Revenge. Literally no contest, it’s probably the only warriors book I’d actively recommend to someone else.

5. Favorite Clan: Windclan. Mostly because of Tallstar’s Revenge, but I also really loved the Windclan cats in the first series. They just seemed much more passive and connected then the other clans.

6. Favorite Character: Graystripe. Admittedly, I’m just very very nostalgic for who he was in the first book. His introduction was the whole reason I kept reading and ended up falling in love with the series.

7. Least Favorite Character: Tigerstar the first. Fuck this guy. Enough said.

8. Most Aesthetically Pleasing Cat: I really love how people draw Dovewing actually, like very fluffy and short with the little mask. Ferncloud, Squirrelflight, and Frostpaw are all very cute too.

9. Favorite Leader: I want to say Tallstar but I think I just liked him a lot as a warrior. I guess Firestar? That feels like a lame answer and he didn’t do much as a leader but I still think he was a good leader which I can’t say about... most Warrior Cat leaders.

10. Favorite Villain: Mapleshade. Say what you will about her outside of her novela but Mapleshade was nuanced and way more interesting then ‘brown tabby 700.’ Also Snowtuft? I’m not sure if he even counts but he’s my skrunkly.

11. Favorite Medicine Cat: Cinderpelt. Listen, I love a lot of medicine cats, but Cinder is literally one of my favorite characters in the whole series. Like, she’s my daughter and I love her.

12. Overrated Character: Daisy. She hardly shows up? And all I remember about her is that she insulted Brightheart basically immediately and that she was a den mom. Like I don’t understand why people love her so much.

13. Underrated Character: Deadfoot. Most people only remember him from that prologue in Midnight where he pulled nepotism and picked Crowfeather for the journey but in Tallstar’s Revenge he was actually fucking adorable. Interesting enough he was born with the twisted paw and he’s one of the few Warrior Cats I can think of who became a warrior even with a disability (because the Erins are ableist-), also Tallstar and him are half-brothers. I find him fascinating and I really wish he’d been a leader.

14. Favorite Minor Character: Does Swiftpaw count? I mean- he wasn’t exactly in the story for very long. I’m gonna say he counts. Anyway- yeah, Swiftpaw. He’s one of those characters I wanna stick under a microscope and study.

15. Favorite Pairing: Squirrelcrow (Squirrelflight x Crowfeather).

16. Least Favorite Pairing: Firetiger (Firestar x Tiger(claw)star) just... no.

17. Favorite Friendship: Crowfeather and Feathertail as friends is the highlight of my life (honestly there’s a lot I could put here but I don’t have a lot of friendships I don’t ship in some capacity so...).

18. Favorite Moment: The training scene in Into the Wild where Ravenpaw ends up catching an snake. Listen, I’m so nostalgia blind, but I love the main trio in that book so fucking much. Peak Warrior Cats.

19. Most Tragic Death: The death of Mapleshade’s kits really messes with me. All kit deaths do but those especially because it was completely avoidable and they had no idea what was going on.

20. Favorite Battle / Fight Scene: The end of Into the Wild with the raid on Shadowclan was iconic.

spottedleaf, bristlefrost, and ashfur start off as roommates. spottedleaf had her apartment to herself before the two of them show up

snowtuft and antpelt are also roommates, and they grow close to redwillow

the three of them are like bristlefrost’s cool uncles/big brothers who look after her along with spottedleaf

tigerstar and hawkfrost live together

darktail is an enigma - no one knows if he even has a room

darkstripe wants to be tigerstar’s roommate

spottedleaf leaves to move in with her girlfriend frecklewish

then, bristlefrost is taken in by snowtuft and antpelt (and maybe redwillow too) where she’s much happier

ashfur is left alone to confront his issues (and the dirty dishes)

and that’s where we’re at so far!

P.S. I know a duplex isn’t an apartment complex - the name stuck and I was originally imagining a duplex. that first post was something I typed out and posted without a second thought before work one day, and now it’s snowballed into this big beautiful story and I’m thrilled!

there was another v v generous donation on my kofi !!!!! so here’s the blue version designs+ the pink characters during the pink/blue scenes that I can post now that the amv is finished and up!!!

some fun design tidbits!!:

if u look..at mapleshade’s pink design ver.... pink maple has three sharp arrow marks (pointy..danger...mm) and blue maple has three hearts... and each kit has one arrow/heart mark (larchkit on his right cheek, petal on the left cheek, patch on the chest) I wanted to symbolize how both her love and her hate is (in her eyes) all for her kits

dark forest characters have pink scarring (if it was healed over in life it reappears pink in death, other random scars they had in life are just regular skin scars) for a significant part of their life/death kinda marking their evil, or whatever wound killed them.

mapleshade has the wound frecklewish gave her when she was driven out of thunderclan (kinda where her evil all started so I figured it’d work), hawkfrost has the foxtrap wound, tigerstar the belly wound scourge gave him, brokenstar has the wound on his eyes and also blood dripping from his mouth cause of the deathberries, I ended up giving thistleclaw scars from the riverclan patrol he attacked, darkstripe just has his death wound(from when he ended up fighting on bloodclans side lol), snowtuft has that really long scar

darkforest leader’s star marks are broken! I wanted to give em a diff mark somehow and I sort of jokingly just drew an X over the regular star but it. turned out looking like a cool broken star and not just like an X fjksdlfjsdlh so I kept it hehe
