pushing your akaashi talk button — spill ! tell me whatever you wish about him, perhaps headcanons or selfship lore? whatever your heart desires !
THANK U MANON MY SWEET FOR PUSHING THE BUTTON I AM FROTHING AT THE MOUTH FOR HIMMM
lately ive just been thinking abt … soo many aus of akaashi just!! hes so :3
but im gonna talk abt some selfship lore for now cuz and im still organizing a lil akaashi royalty au and also bcs vikei is so overshadowed by viesho >_< under the read more bcs this might get a lil long, i love to ramble 💗💗
me and akaashi met in high school, highschool sweethearts trope ueueue <33 same year, we shared an elective!! psychology to be exact:3
and i was having a weee bit of a trouble during a unit but i didnt know most of the people in my class sooo i vv nervously asked him for his notes and he agreed!! surprisingly!! >_< like omg cute boy gave me his psych notes what a lucky girl i am … and i thought that’d be the end of our interactions (sadly)
but!!! class seating plans (which SUCK for me usually..) got changed and he got put beside me!! like wow what my luck again huh.. coincidence? it wasn’t BUT i was still too shy to talk to him so i just used asking for his notes all the time as an excuse ..
eventually we opened up and started eating lunch together and talking outside of class (gave me his number “for class notes”) and our respective friend groups were like hmmm who are u talkin to??? we both denied anything between us (everyone sighed cuz we were a lil obvious) but everything abt us was soo… gf and bf like we didn’t realize how fast we were falling!!
so then one day my friends are going to the mall and are like ohh u wanna bring ur bf? and im like HES NOT MY BF BUT ALSO WOULDNT THAT BE WEIRD TO ASK HIM TO COME W ME BUT ITS A GROUP THING SO— and they shut me up and got me to ask him >_< and i guess(?) that was our first ‘date’ of sorts.
two awkward, nervous lil love birds surrounded by their friends making kissy face sounds and jokes bcs we were the ONLY two people not sitting at the group table and w each other… we were in our own lil world wahhh 😖💗

2023 Accomplishments, 2024 Hopes
I did a lot of stuff this year, so I'm gonna talk about stuff I'm happy about accomplishing this year!
Art
I made the most money ever for commissions! Almost $900 I hope to make more next year!
I finished quite a few comics as well as Cherry's first journal! Comics have always been quite difficult for me to finish, so I'm proud of being able to do a handful of them!
I got to be a featured artist in an app! That was a pretty cool experience getting to test out and draw in an app! Also getting paid to do so!
Next year, I would like to try an improve on some things with my art, finish more art, and maybe get another art job!
-----
TTRPGS
I played a LOT of DnD this year.
In my Monday game, we're closely approaching our 100th sessions and possibly the end of our first campaign! I love Cherry so much and I hope she gets through it all with the Flockless! This is the longest campaign I've ever been in and the highest level I've grown to as well. Cherry went from level 3-13 so far, how my baby has grown! We also got to play some Kids on Bikes and Pathfinder 2e which was very fun! I hope to do more games after we finish campaign 1!
With my Tuesday group, I got to make so many fun characters and also try some new TTRPGs too! I'm excited for all the fun little things we'll get to do next year! I love Manon and hope we figure out the nature of this world.
I hope to finally run something next year for my friends next year, but we'll see how it goes!
-----
Video Games
I played a fuck ton of games this year. I got really into simulation games because I find them relaxing and nice.
The games I beat this year:
Garden in!
Paradise Marsh
Flying Neko Delivery
Unpacking
Lumbearjack
Terra Nil
Alba A Wildlife Adventure
Mail Time
Katamari Damacy Reroll
We Love Katamari Reroll
Frog Detective 3
Sticky Business
Pikmin 4
Garden Buddies
Pizza Tower
Loddlenauts
Moonstone Island
Frogsong
Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe
I'm excited for a fuckton of indie games coming out next year and for the Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door remake. I need to beat the original before it comes out but we'll see how that goes.
My favourite games this year were Pikmin 4, Pizza Tower, Loddlenauts and Moonstone Island for sure!
-----
Life
No major changes happened in my life this year. I'm hoping next year I have more luck in finding an art job, but overall, I'm pretty ok with where I am.Working at a grocery store will always suck, but I'm at least making enough money to buy things I like and help my family out a bit.
I went to my first Pride parade this year. When I was sitting at the subway waiting for my friends to arrive I almost cried because seeing the sheer amount of queer people around was just heart-warming and made me feel like it was all gonna be ok. I got my first ace flags, one of which is on my desk near Rawhide. I also got handed a paper for black queer people which was a lil funny. I also got a lot of compliments on my outfit which felt very good.
Mental health wise, it's also been very ok. I'm hoping to get more support in terms of my ADHD meds since I've been on the same dosage for a while and things could be better.
-----
Lastly...
This is a lil sappy, but I wanna say thanks to all my friends and my sister for making this life worth living. I haven't been in a depressive rut in a long time because of those I love, the things I love, and the things I'm looking forward to. Life for me isn't always rainbows and sunshine, but I'm always happy about the small things that make it worthwhile. I'm looking forward to making and sharing more art with my friends, playing video games and TTRPGs, and just doing what I enjoy in life!

((Session 34-B is wrapped!))
We’re back together in the Wearbear Inn, and Lex’s player is here today!!
Lex has named their horse ‘Pork Buns’. He’ll be great friends with Ena’s horse Chicken Fried Rice!
New NPC Request: A Centaur shopkeeper who pulls his own cart, and if you try to haggle with him, he kills you.
The party all gets settled at their chosen table, and the bear waitress, Selena(rctos thibetanus) came back over to take their order.
“Delicious, delicious mucus.”
Asahi’s Player: “I was only having inside thoughts!”
Me: “In public.”
August is rolling out the bear puns and none of the other party members are enjoying them.
Ena: “I’ll take one of everything.”
Selena the Bear: *affirmative bear noises as she circles something on her notepad*
Ena’s last allowance portion was a chocolate coin, an electrum piece, and five Hucky Heese tokens left in Asahi’s boots.
Lex’s player is jealous of Ena’s moss cat and wants one, as well.
My players gave me half a chance to expose my Transformers shame and the chat devolved into who was better: Shattered Glass Soundwave & Ravage or normal G1 Soundwave & Ravage.
“I am not a licensed robot gynecologist!”
Bagelby tried to use the planatir to find robot wizards within the world, but couldn’t make out any details.
He then tried to use it to see into the kitchen to see if the food was good. All he saw was a bubbling pot of soup.
Bagelby: “The soup looks delicious, so I’ll have that, please.”
Babelby is now going to use the planatir to make all of his decisions.
Thiori alone tipped 50g to the servers.
“When you guys get back to Kendara, your tab is cut off. You need to start spending your own money.”
Thiori made a valiant effort to get plastered, and finally discovered the class feature that prevents him from getting drunk.
The innkeeper approached the party after Asahi made mention of “always needing a bit more coin” to ask them to go out into the woods and find his husband, and remind him that he needed to be back to help with the dinner rush before the Bard Five was ready to get up on stage.
The party bartered for pay in a few gold and a bottle of semi-illegal liquor that may or may not get Thiori drunk, and set off to find the innkeeper’s husband.
Said husband is a cameo character of August’s player’s PC from an older campaign we were both in, so they took over his narration from here.
The party walked for a while before starting to find bits and pieces of zombies, and the overwhelming stench of rotting flesh.
Ena threw up.
The party can hear the sound of bells in the trees, as well as heavy footsteps and the breaking of bones.
Well…most of the party can hear it. Bagelby, Sir Carl Jaeger, and Lex are all distracted by a super-cool bug.
The party finally finds Galthor, 8ft Firbolg Bard-Barian, as he finishes off a small group of shambling zombies.
Asahi wants all the teeth that have been knocked out of the zombie skulls, purely to send them to her royal patron, Manon-Val.
“You know, eventually, he’s going to start seeing these gifts of teeth as a threat.”
“Manon-Val? No. He’s too nice to ask you to stop. His advisors, however, are starting to get concerned.”
Galthor is an absolute sweetheart who is mortified to realize he was out too late chasing zombies and his husband is getting impatient.
Galthor: “I could use y’all’s help putting these lost souls to rest.”
Asahi: “Good news! We have a cleric!”
Lex: “Oh, fuck, I have to do shit?”
Asahi and Galthor both like to collect teeth, though Galthor is more about collecting monster teeth than humanoid teeth.
Asahi: “I’m NOT mailing a skeleton horse to my-…although…?”
After some debate, vampire teeth are in fact monstrous enough to be considered compatible with Galthor’s collection.
Asahi, to the party: “All in favor of fighting a zombie hoard, raise your hand.”
Thiori: *raises all four of his arms*
The party plus Galthor heads out for a nearby tomb where the zombies have been starting to wander out of, trading small talk, introductions, and descriptions along the way.
Galthor: “Unlike my husband, I am not a werebear. I only invoke their power in battle.”
Ena: “But you did fuck one though.”
Galthor, coughing awkwardly: “ANYWAY-”
The zombies have an AC of 8 and only 22 HP. They’re really only here for story purposes and to give Lex’s player a safe taste of first-time combat without risking serious confusion or character death, and I plan for them to just keep coming until everyone seems satisfied.
Ena destroyed a zombie with her dual-hit eldritch blast, and exploded him like an overfilled water balloon.
August chopped up a zombie Galthor hit but didn’t quite put down like she was chopping lettuce for a salad.
Thiori fried a zombie like a chicken wing, and then we took a quick hydration break.
Bagelby: “What tomb is this? Who did these zombies used to be? Why are they so restless?”
Galthor: “Listen, child, I just like hitting things.”
Asahi pummeled a zombie like Star Platinum from JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure, but missed on her very last hit.
“It’s time for the Bagelby show!”
Bagelby’s Player wanted to understand the undead more, so he approached a downed one that Galthor hadn’t quite killed, stole a medallion off of it’s armor, and used his kleptomancy to power-up a Suggestion spell, and asked the zombie to tell him its secrets.
Instead of a ‘how do undead work’ kind of answer, he got a much more vivid and cryptic “I stole something from a mythical entity” kind of answer.
I have a lore side quest that needs to be seeded and this is my opportunity.
“Bagelby is fREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW-“
“Bagelby has experienced death by many hands, with all those magical rocks you’ve licked.”
Sir Carl uppercut one zombie, but it collapsed faster than he expected, and his second punch whiffed.
Lex cast Guiding Bolt and incinerated a zombie for her first D&D kill!
We’re back to the top of the order, and since I’ve managed to drop my lore and get Lex her first kill, I think we can have one more zombie for everyone, and then wrap up the combat.
In a Rage, Galthor ripped the stone slab door off of the tomb and crushed five of the eight zombies with it.
August chopped up another zombie even more finely, but then failed a Constitution saving throw, and threw up on the body parts from the burned smell.
Thiori tried to fry another zombie, but despite rolling 20+’s to hit, rolled less than 10s in damage.
Ena used Eldritch Blast to take out the last remaining zombies - including the one Bagelby was standing over, which almost fried him.
August’s Player: “Nooo! Don’t toast the bagel!”
Bagelby: “Maybe we should put these bodies back…”
August, looking down at the diced zombie at her feet: “Oh….”
The party decided that if Bagelby, of all people, was too uncomfortable with leaving the zombies outside of their tomb, then they should probably put the bodies back in their tomb.
Bagelby’s Player: “Soli…I would like to rob the tomb.”
With the party distracted putting all the bodies back, Bagelby quickly dug around the tomb and found a hidden drawer in a shelf that was opened by a button bearing the same symbol as the zombie’s medallion.
Lex left immediately - she’s seen “The Mummy” (it’s canon now) and does NOT want to be party to a curse.
He successfully stole the item inside, but Asahi and August immediately clocked his guilty look.
Asahi: “….Bagel. Bagel, what do you have? What’s in your mouth? Give it here!”
August: “What’s in your slime pouch?”
Asahi dragged him out of the tomb in a headlock, which alerted the rest of the party.
Bagelby: “So I did a weird thing with one of the zombies…”
Sir Carl Jaeger: “You didn’t lick any of the bodies, did you?”
Bagelby: “NO!”
The party is scheduling a Mummy Movie Marathon now, bc neither I nor several other party members have actually seen “The Mummy” outside of memes and clips.
With the zombies defeated, Bagelby chastised, and Galthor in tow, the party hiked back through the forest to the Werebear Inn.
Asahi gives Galthor several pamphlets for her business, and he asks her if he can commission her to make some glass animals for the inn.
“At this point, you run a cult rehabilitation center that uses glass blowing as therapy.”
Galthor wants glass bears for his husband, and a shark for himself.
Asahi’s Player to Ena’s Player: “I am not making sEXUAL BEAR THINGS OUT OF  G L A S S.”
Asahi, excitedly: “I finally have some glass work!”
Bagelby, also excitedly: “And it only took a year!”
The party returns Galthor to his husband just in time for the dinner rush, and the innkeeper passes Ena a small bottle of super-strong liquor that Asahi absolutely told him not to give her.
We left off with the party once gain settled at a table, enjoying a free dessert of acorn cake as they listened to the Bard Five start to play…and Bagelby wondered what cursed item was burning a hole in his slime pocket.

Her sweet bunny villain
I thought about it for a while and decided that I wanted to do a fic where Mari is dating Izuku Midoriya who is a villain... Hope you all like it!
Mari always wondered why her boyfriend decided to do crime, she never really asked him but she does wonder about it at times, Izuku Midoriya entered her life when she went to Japan for a week to destress from what her class was doing by believing Lila to this very day, she was only walking around when she found him in an alley injured, from the way he dressed it was obvious he had a terrible taste in style and it was all bad quality so after taking care of his injuries she helped him get back close to his home before making him promise to contact her for clothes.
Since that day she had been designing his clothes and then it began there long distance relationship, Izuku who decided to go by the name Usagi when he’s working was happy to have her call him Deku... And while she knows it means useless and worthless, the way she says it makes him happy and not mind it at all, she also did meet through video calls the rest of his team, like Dabi who has a blue flame quirk, Himiko Toga who when she drinks someone’s blood can look like them... And many more after that, she does worry about him at times but he always calls once a mission is done with so she knows he’s alive.
One day, Mari came to school to overhear Lila claiming that she’s dating Katsuki Bakugo, son of fashion designers Mitsuki and Masaru Bakugo, she talks about how she used to model with him and all kinds of things but Mari simply ignored it and headed to class... This was the new normal for her now, no longer was she greeting her classmates, no longer was she invited to things, no longer was she making them free things... It didn’t really matter to her that they were mad at the fact she wasn’t making them free things anymore, she had a website where she sells her designs and is happy to having good paying customers.
Lila claimed that her designs were cheap looking and claimed that Mari was being a brat by demanding money, miss Bustier even tried to make Mari bake and design for free again and when she refused she and her parents were called to the principals office where he was chewed out by her parents for trying to drain her by forcing her to spend her well earned money to buy fabric, threads, buttons and baking ingredients to make free things for a class who doesn’t even help or thank her anymore.
Needless to say... He and Caline were threatened with being put to court if they made such a demand on Mari again...
After that, the class simply glares at her whenever they bring up wanting baked goods or new clothes... And she would ignore them the whole time, it made them angry because they would then need to spend money on new clothes that even though they show it off she doesn’t react, they also need to spend money to buy baked goods and then complain at school because it was expensive and Mari doesn’t say anything, instead she focuses on her homework and designs for her paying customers to get there approval... And prepare to message her boyfriend about some clothes she was sending his way.
Alya was just about to stomp over towards Mari to demand free stuff but Caline had just walked in to reveal to everyone that the trip that Mari had prepared for them to go to Japan for two weeks was approved “Now I just need everyone to get there parents signature for this try by tomorrow so I can confirm who will be coming” she explained as she handed out the paper for the signature of a parent, Alya squealed and pointed out how Lila would see her boyfriend while the liar internally winced as she would need to have the class avoid anything connected to Katsuki.
Mari smiled as she packed the paper and then began to listen and take notes in class like Adrien and Max were doing... While the others were either on there phones or doing something else then listening to the lesson, when the day ended Mari walked into the bakery and handed the paper to her mother who quickly signed it for Mari to hand it to her teacher tomorrow, she then took back the paper and went straight to her room to get to work on sending pictures of the designs to her clients, then as she waited for there replies she took the box of clothes to mail while sending a message to Izuku about how she was sending the clothes now, then once she was told how long it might take she estimated the delivery date for him.
All the while she was seen by Lila sending the box...
By the time Mari got to the bakery, the delivery company she dropped off the box at called her, they said that a girl with tanned skin, green eyes and hair tied in three sausage style came claiming there was an error with the box she dropped off and asked for her to explain “I don’t know why she’s lying to you, I brought the box over because I wanted to get it delivered so she’s lying to you simple as that” she replied making the man claim he would take care of Lila and then hung up making Mari smile as she went up to her room... To find Alya there rummaging through her things “What are you doing in my things!?” she demanded loudly making her parents hear and dial for the police.
Alya glared at Mari as she focused on her task, Lila had claimed that she had gotten a dress from Katsuki and brought it at school to show... But Mari had taken it, she described it as a lightly ruffled white dress with light blue flowers flowing on the dress, Alya promised to get it back so after picking the look of the house door she snuck into Mari’s room to look for the dress, after a while the police arrived and forced her outside with questions while waiting for her parents to arrive, but Alya refused to answer the whole time when her parents arrived as they promised to bring her down to the police station for questions... And claimed she wouldn’t be going to the Japan trip in the end.
Alya went pale and the revealed what Lila claimed, her mother lost it and asked if she ever asked Mari about it, the pigtailed girl then said she had made a dress of that style for Manon... The girl she would babysit, Alya was shocked at those words as Mari then pulled out her phone to reveal a picture of the little girl wearing the exact dress Lila claimed was her’s, her parents took her home for a bit to make sure that Nora could watch the twins before taking Alya to the station to answer further questions, Mari with her parents then walked back inside and up to her room to clean up the mess Alya had made of her clothes, she also checked on the responses of her clients and reply from her boyfriend making her smile in excitement.
The next day, Mari arrives at school to be glared by her classmates, turns out Lila was told by Alya what happened and Lila decided to hide the fact that she lied about the dress and claimed Mari got the police on Alya for no good reason, so when in class and class was surrounding her in anger she revealed the lie about the dress Lila claimed with a picture of Manon that her mother Nadja sent her... It made them all turn to look at Lila in shock, Caline then walked in and asked for the paper signed... Everyone but Adrien and Alya handed there’s, it turns out that Gabriel had a few things set up for Adrien to do so he refused to let him go to Japan while Alya was banned from going on the trip by her parents... This angered Lila as she called the man during class break to get him to sign the paper and have it brought at lunch.
He just had to make sure that Lila is happy during the trip...
A week later they arrived in Japan, they quickly got to the hotel to rest but the class decided to listen to Lila and walk around while Mari being smart decided to stay in her room to sleep a bit... Adrien decided to do the same and ignored Lila, she woke up a while later from a text from her boyfriend asking if she was awake so she replied that his message woke her up, he felt bad which he wrote but asked her to come outside of the hotel making her smile and walk out, Adrien had been awake for a while and heard her room door open and close so he decided to follow her outside to see her talking to a guy wearing a hoodie with green eyes, curly green hair and freckles.
Adrien wasn’t sure what to do at the sight, as he watched them walk away... All he could was stay at the hotel and hope nothing bad happens to her while she’s out there...
Mari smiled towards her loving evil boyfriend, Izuku smiled as they walked around before slowly entering a coffee shop and heading to the back... Where the LOV team was living, to hide who they really were the team opened a coffee shop and used Mari’s work to hide and look different and to blend in like it was nothing, right now Himiko and Dabi were working at the front while the other’s were in the back “It’s great to see you all again” Mari smiled making them smile in return, they prepared her a cup of coffee making her smile and thank Kurogiri who was happy of the praise he gained as they spoke together until Himiko and Dabi walked in as they closed just now... Meaning Mari would need to head back.
By the time the class came back, it was with the police, turns out that the hotel had not been informed that the class would leave all of a sudden to go around unlike Marinette who did before leaving so they called the police to get the class found, the police found them after a while and gave a stern talking to miss Bustier about how she needed to be an actual adult and have the class follow the plans... And not allow them to leave the hotel all of a sudden outside of there plans, because of that it was decided that another teacher will come to assist on watching over the class... While Adrien watched in shock from the hall.
The next day a lady named Nemuri Kayama arrived to assist in watching over the class, she was supposed to be teaching at the prestigious school called UA but instead was asked to help with a class who decided that leaving the hotel without telling someone was a good idea, so with that they got going, Adrien did watch Mari as he was worried on where she went yesterday but with Lila keeping close to him... He wasn’t able to ask her about it, Nemuri began showing them around and correcting things each time Lila tries to spin a tall tale about something... And then glares at Caline for allowing the girl to lie like that and does nothing to make her stop.
Slowly they walked over to UA making the class get excited to see the place as then class 1-A comes to view as there training, Mari then noticed a certain blonde named Katsuki Bakugo... Her boyfriends bully who told him to take a swan dive off of a roof and pray that he get’s a quirk in the next life, because of that she hated him but acted like she knew nothing about him at all... But she was planning something, she and her classmates got to meet them and then watched as Katsuki yelled at Lila for lying about them dating and swore he would sue her for that... Which led to all of her lies being uncovered making Mari smile at the sight as none of her classmates or even her teacher thought about there actions towards her and went to apologize.
She also didn’t notice Katsuki watching her with a faint blush...
The day continued like that, her classmates angry at Lila for lying, forgetting about the fact that they bullied Mari because Lila claimed she did something to her, nor did they remember that they would get mad at Mari because she wasn’t making them free things anymore, there was also the fact that Katsuki was keeping close to her... She didn’t like it and decided to ignore him, her plans couldn’t start just yet of course so instead she was going to relax and enjoy her time in Japan, she did have a few things planned with her boyfriend already during there free days so that was a good thing of course, when lunch came she sat alone at a table away from everyone while texting Izuku with a smile.
No one from her class tried to go over to talk to her, she did faintly notice Adrien looking at her but she decided to ignore the look as Katsuki walked over and sat at her table “Can I help you with something?” she asked while not looking at him, instead focused on her phone, Katsuki didn’t say anything and simply began to eat his spicy curry making her then begin to eat while texting Izuku before she had to join the class once more to look around the school before they would need to head back to the hotel to either relax or to enjoy the rest of there free day walking around or shopping... Mari couldn’t wait to go on a date with Izuku for the afternoon.
Katsuki still followed until they got to the hotel, Mari never spoke to the blonde and instead focused on the tour of the school and going to her hotel room without a word to get cleaned up before waiting for Izuku outside the hotel for there date, Katsuki waited for a while before sighing and heading back to school... He could tell he didn’t do something right with Marinette so all he could do was wait until tomorrow to try again, once Mari was ready, she walked down to the lobby and then informed the lady at the counter that she was going to walk around before heading outside to wait for her amazing boyfriend.
Without knowing that Lila was watching her from afar with a glare...
Even though she worked so hard to destroy Marinette's life, that everything she told them wasn’t true but she worked to make them believe everything... She still believed she should win somehow against Marinette, because of that she decided to try and confront the girl once they get back to the hotel about it but the pigtailed girl was to fast for her and she was gone to her room before she even noticed, now she watched as the girl walked out of the hotel alone making her angry as she rushed of to tell there teacher about it, Caline was a little angry and the two went to the counter to get the police involved but the worker refused.
“Your student informed me of her using her free day to tour around Japan, she has the right as I was informed” she explained and then went back to work while ignoring them, Lila was furious about that as Mari smiled while holding hands with her boyfriend as they enjoyed there date together, Izuku was actually claimed dead, after Katsuki told him to kill himself and All Might telling him that a quirkless person can’t be a hero... He jumped to end his life, it was then that he was found by Tomura who promised him a better life, so he was claimed dead, even though his coffin had no body, Izuku was trained to be the best in combat even though he didn’t have a quirk.
Then he became friends with Himiko and Dabi... He also met Mari and then slowly fell for her and ended up dating her, the girl didn’t even care about the fact he was a villain, instead she helped when she could by making them clothes, she did however did something different, clothes Izuku would wear will have her signature, but the clothes he and the league wore didn’t and instead looked different enough from her usual work that no one would notice unless they saw her working on clothes and were with knowledge in fashion designing, so with that she was safe, Izuku also needs to be careful since even though he is claimed dead... Someone might figure it all out at some point.
Slowly there trip to Japan got to the last few day of there second week, some complained that time went by too quickly while Katsuki felt anger because he failed with Mari every time he had a chance to talk to her, so he decided to try and simply ask her out on a date, but he failed horribly, when they got to pick up the class from the hotel to go to the mall, he tried asking Mari out and she flat out rejected him and then walked away from him to do some shopping alone, his friends were a little surprised at that but still believed that things would get better so they helped him by encouraging him to try again at a later time.
And it still failed... But it was worse because he felt like he was going through déjà-vous all of a sudden...
She was alone heading back to the hotel early so he walked her back, once at the door he asked her out once more until she spoke “Why don’t you take a swan dive off of a roof and pray in the next life that i’m single when you ask me out... Or even interested in a bully like you” then walked back into the hotel while leaving him outside frozen in place... Those words... To kill himself... Were the same last words he told Deku before he killed himself, it made Katsuki slightly sick as he ran back home and into his room while ignoring his parents to curl up in his bed, his mother walked in to try and get gently some answers but all he said was “She said the same words I did” and it made no sense to Mitsuki so she simply left the room.
After that, he kept away from her because of the pain he felt in his chest when her words echoed in his head, she then went back to Paris without another word from him for two months before he and his class came to visit for two weeks... And Katsuki saw a living and breathing Deku holding her hand and being happy with her as they walked around Paris... She was dating him, he faked his death to escape him and now he was living the life he wanted but away from his bully.
All the while not knowing that Deku is Usagi... The same villain he has a hard time in capturing.
So there you go guys! Another BNHA crossover to miraculous ladybug! I’m hoping you all enjoy it and are excited for my next fic with these two universes!

The Letter
Thank you to @nothingwillsuffice for betaing! Written for MWG's April Event. Can also read on AO3.
Alya stared at her two friends in disbelief. They had gone from having limited contact to practically snuggling with each other in front of the whole class!
"I know you two finally started dating but how are you so affectionate already?" She demanded to know, waiting for her best friend to immediately spill the details.
"Isn't this how all couples interact when they love each other?" Adrien asked innocently.
Marinette leaned slightly away from Adrien, so she could whisper in Alya's ear without being overheard. "He gets his romance from anime. Don't tell him anything!"
Adrien Agreste, the famous supermodel, was into anime? Alya raised a disbelieving brow at Marinette who nodded at her in all seriousness. Adrien rested his head on Marinette's shoulder just then and Alya had to control herself from whipping out her phone and snapping a picture.
"Hey, dude and dudette," Nino greeted them as he walked in, fist-bumping Adrien and tossing an arm around Alya. "Hi, babe," he greeted her with a smile. Then he took a double take as Adrien went from resting on Marinette to full-on snuggling into her.
"What are you, a cat? Keep climbing like that and Marinette will be too tired to do anything," Nino shook his head at them.
"It's fine," Marinette waved Nino off as Adrien pouted and snuggled further. "Marinette's warm and if I let go, I'll miss her too much!" Adrien whined in protest. Marinette simply patted his head with her free hand as Alya gaped in disbelief.
"I always knew this day would come but this is too soon. Even for them," Nino lamented and Alya turned to her boyfriend in confusion.
Nino dramatically looked up at the ceiling and shook his head before turning to her. "It's time we face it, babe. We're no longer the romantic ones of the group," Nino said mournfully. Alya's jaw dropped in indignation.
"Nino! Of course, we're the romantic ones. We're very romantic!"
Nino simply gazed at Marinette and Adrien in response. Alya sighed in resignation. "Okay, fine. No one can be as romantic as these two, but we're still plenty romantic."
"These two have me thinking we're not romantic at all."
"Okay, that's so not true," Marinette disentangled herself from Adrien to lean forward. "You two are my favourite couple." Beside her, Adrien nodded solemnly in agreement.
Nino gave them a grin as he played with his hat. "Yeah, you're right. We're an awesome couple." He gave Alya a quick kiss on the cheek as Marinette slid out of his seat. Alya smiled at Nino as she headed towards her own seat but what he had said was starting to get to her. An uncomfortable feeling grew in her stomach and she turned to Marinette, who was watching her carefully.
"Girl, I need you to tell me the truth. Are Nino and I really not that romantic of a couple?"
Marinette sighed. "You two got akumatized for playing "Super Penguino" on a class trip and we all know you weren't playing a video game. You two are very romantic and so clearly in love."
"But what if Nino doesn't think that's true anymore?" Alya whispered, anxiously picking at her nails.
Marinette frowned. "If he thinks you two aren't being as romantic as you used to be, why don't you just do something extra romantic for him?"
Alya tilted her head, thinking it over. That was an intriguing idea. "Like what?" She asked, a little lost for ideas.
Marinette hummed thoughtfully. "Oh! You're an amazing writer, especially when it comes to the facts."
"That's true. Any journalist worth her salt has to be a good writer," Alya pointed out before pausing as she took in the smirk on Marinette's face.
"Why don't you write Nino a love letter?" Marinette whispered excitedly.
Alya blinked having expected something unnecessarily big and complicated. "A love letter?"
"Old-school romance, I think it's the sweetest thing ever. Getting that love letter would just make your heart flutter, especially when it's from someone you love more than anything." Marinette confirmed, sighing dreamily at the idea of receiving a love letter.
Alya quirked an eyebrow at her. "And how exactly do you know this?"
Marinette smiled. "Maman was telling me stories about how Papa courted her, yesterday."
Alya couldn't help but gush at that herself. That must have been so sweet. She paused, replaying the emotions that had just overcome her as Marinette looked at her triumphantly.
"So, you doing it?" Marinette asked innocently, though she couldn't quite hide her smile.
Alya simply rolled her eyes at her best friend. "Nobody likes a gloater," she said, turning to pay attention to Mlle. Bustier's lesson even as Marinette quietly squealed in anticipation.
xXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxX
Alya held up her freshly written letter and squinted at it. Marinette sighed at her from where she was lying on Alya's bed.
"This is like the tenth time you've rewritten it!" Marinette protested when Alya turned around to give her an annoyed look.
"I have to make sure it's perfect!" Alya smiled, her competitive nature coming to life. "He'll regret thinking we're not romantic, if it's the last thing I do!"
"Okay, tone it down over there with the possible supervillain origin story," Marinette laughed. "Alya, Nino loves you. He'll see how romantic it is no matter what you write, okay?"
Alya pursed her lips. "Maybe if I just change one more thing," she mused, reaching for the eraser. Marinette caught her arm before she could get to it and gave her a hard glare.
"No. No more editing," Marinette commanded. Alya looked up at her pleadingly but Marinette was not swayed in the slightest. "Put it in the envelope, Alya." Grudgingly, Alya folded the letter and put it inside the rose-scented pale pink envelope they had specifically picked out.
"Now, seal the envelope," Marinette handed Alya the glue stick, dashing Alya's hopes that she could just take the letter out again later. But Alya didn't argue, knowing Marinette was right to force her into it.
"It's done. It's official now," Alya groaned, resting her head on her desk. Marinette giggled at her. "Not quite, you still have to give it to Nino."
Alya's eyes widened. "Like hand the letter to him? In front of everyone?"
"That'd be so bold and romantic," Marinette gushed.
"Are you sure you haven't started getting your romance tips from anime too?" Alya asked dryly.
Much to Alya's surprise, Marinette blushed. "I had to! Adrien would keep flirting with me anime style and I wanted to know the best ways to catch him off guard."
Alya stared at her best friend. "Never tell me anything about how you and Adrien flirt, got it?" She ordered, inwardly shivering at whatever would cause Marinette to blush so furiously. Marinette opened her mouth to protest but Alya waved her finger at her. "Never," she repeated.
This time it was Marinette's turn to pout at her but Alya also did not give in. After a few moments of an intense staring contest, Marinette gave in with a huff. Satisfied, Alya turned back around to consider her letter.
"Why don't we mail it to Nino instead?" Alya asked hopefully.
"What if his parents or Chris find it and open it before Nino sees it? That would ruin the romance aspect," Marinette pointed out.
"Well do you have a better idea? Because I am not walking up to him and giving it to him at school. That is way too much pressure."
Marinette gave her a mischievous look. "What happened to the fearless journalist who doesn't back down from the truth?"
"She's on vacation," Alya deadpanned making Marinette laugh.
Marinette picked up the letter, her eyes moving around the room. Then she blinked, a slow smile appearing on her face. "I have a plan," she informed Alya.
xXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxX
"For some reason, I feel like you came up with this plan just so you wouldn't have to babysit by yourself," Alya commented as they watched Manon play with Marinette's handmade dolls, as they sat on the park bench.
"Would I do that?" Marinette asked, curled up on the bench. Her eyes kept drooping and she let out a gigantic yawn.
"Based on how tired you are, you most definitely would. Girl, are you not getting enough sleep? You didn't use to be this sleepy." Behind all of Alya's teasing, she was worried for her friend.
"I'm okay, I just get behind on school and whatnot. You know what they say about vicious cycles," Marinette shrugged. "Come on, let's go over the plan one more time."
Alya nodded determinedly, as she pulled out the written she had so carefully written. "Nino will like it, right?" She asked her best friend, a small niggle of doubt making her hesitant.
Marinette beamed at her. "He'll love it," she confirmed. Then she sat up looking more attentive than she had been in hours. "He's here!" She whisper-squealed as she pointed in a general direction. Alya followed her finger to where Nino and Adrien had sat down. Clearly, neither boy had noticed the girls.
"Manon!" Marinette called out to the little girl, who looked up curiously at the sound of her name. When Marinette gestured for her to come over, she quickly abandoned the dolls and ran to sit on Marinette's lap. Manon had turned expectantly towards Alya.
"Is it story time?" Manon asked innocently.
Alya shook her head. "Not yet. Do you see that blond boy, the one you took pictures with once Ladybug got rid of all the ice?"
Manon's eyes lit up in recognition and she nodded eagerly. "Well, can you give this letter to the boy sitting next to him?" Alya held out the letter for Manon, who was frowning. "If you do, I'll tell you all the stories you want."
"Deal!" Manon exclaimed happily, quickly grabbing the letter from Alya and heading towards the two boys. Marinette and Alya watched with bated breath as Manon went to go talk to the boys. Soon enough, Manon was running back to them.
"There! Now a story!" The little girl demanded, plopping herself into Alya's lap. Alya wanted to keep watching the boys but a deal was a deal. Marinette only laughed as Alya began to spin tales of unicorns battling robots.
She'd gotten all the way up to the climax when Marinette interrupted her, by tapping on her shoulder. Adrien and Nino had come up to them. Nino was frowning while Adrien looked extremely uncomfortable.
Marinette winked at Alya before getting up to give Adrien a hug. He hugged her back but not as tightly or lovingly as he always did. Instead, his arms came up hesitantly while his gaze remained trained on Alya. Meanwhile, Nino refused to look at her.
Exasperated, Alya turned to Marinette hoping she would have some idea of what was going on. But Marinette looked just as puzzled as Alya felt.
"Adrien? Is something wrong?" Marinette asked, gently laying a hand on Adrien's cheek which caused him to flinch. A look of surprise and hurt crossed Marinette's face as she took a step back from him.
"Nino? What's happening?" Alya frowned, as she put Manon down to stand next to him. Her boyfriend simply fiddled with his hat, like he always did when he was upset with one arm crossed across his chest defensively. Adrien gave Marinette a regretful look before taking in a deep breath.
"Alya," Adrien said, his voice was hard and unforgiving. "Why would you give this to me?"
Alya looked at Marinette instinctively. She hadn't given anything to Adrien. That was when Adrien reached into his pocket and pulled out a pink envelope. A very familiar pink envelope.
"Why do you have that?" Alya asked as she threw a hurt glance towards Nino. Even if he hated the letter, her boyfriend could have had the decency to keep it to himself rather than pass it on to his best friend.
Then she registered what Adrien had said. "W-what do you mean, give it to you?"
In the corner of her eye, Alya could see Marinette slapping her hand to her forehead before crouching to speak with Manon.
"Manon said it was for me," Adrien defended. "And it has your name on it!"
"You said to give it to the blond boy!" Manon piped up, helpfully.
"No, we said to give it to the boy next to him," Marinette corrected, a relieved smile on her face. "You weren't listening, were you?"
"What?" Nino stuttered, his arms falling down as his eyes met hers. Marinette rolled her eyes.
"Obviously, the letter was for you, Nino. Why on earth would it be for Adrien?"
Adrien and Nino gaped as Marinette scolded Manon for being so excited about a story she ended up not doing her job properly. "Only responsible little girls get stories!" She finished making Manon nod sadly.
"Sorry for making a mess," She apologized before running to hug Marinette's leg for some comfort.
Adrien was visibly relieved as he handed the letter over to Nino before going to Marinette. Alya shook her head at both Manon and Adrien before turning her gaze back towards her sheepish boyfriend.
"Hey, Alya, I just–," Alya didn't let him finish, swatting him on the arm. He yelped before rubbing it to soothe the pain.
"How dare you?" Alya hissed. "I pour all my time and effort into making you the most amazing and romantic letter possible and you think I would send it to Adrien?"
Out of the corner of her eye, Alya saw Adrien open his mouth to protest but Marinette elbowed him in the gut before he could say anything.
Nino wrung his hands together. "I didn't really know what to think, I just...it was your name on the letter and Manon insisted it was for Adrien, and I…"
They turned towards Manon, who gave a little shrug. Alya supposed she should let it go, Manon was only five years old, making her younger than even Alya's twin sisters. And they would have made the mistake much worse than just giving it to Nino's best friend.
Nino's lack of trust on the other hand…Sensing she was about to yell at him again, Nino took her hand in his. "You know I love you, babe. The idea of losing you hurt me too much." He gave her a soft, pleading look.
Alya raised an eyebrow and Nino sighed. "I panicked and acted like a complete idiot. Please forgive me?"
Alya rolled her eyes before pulling Nino into a hug. She could feel her boyfriend grin against her before he pulled back just enough to kiss her. When he pulled away, Alya couldn't help the wave of disappointment that had washed over her.
"Nino? Read the letter," Marinette advised. Then she turned to Alya. "You know, all the movies say that couples that go through misunderstandings like this are the most romantic. But I guess that's just my opinion."
Alya's bestie scooped Manon into her arms before dragging Adrien away. Alya sent Marinette a grateful look before turning back to her boyfriend.
"It smells nice," he said lamely.
"Wow, so nice of you to notice," Alya snarked. He seemed to wilt under her gaze as he carefully opened the letter and began to read. Alya was rather gratified to see the myriad of emotions crossing Nino's face as his eyes misted up.
"I love you too, Alya. I love you so much, babe. I'm so sorry I'm such an idiot." Nino said, at last, his hands trembling as he gripped the letter.
Alya rolled her eyes once again. "And we're an extremely romantic couple, I was completely in the wrong," Nino added.
A smirk crossed Alya's face, making her shrug. "I suppose I can forgive you, just this once," Alya mused out loud making Nino laugh. Before she could react, he pulled her into a kiss and Alya decided there were more important things to care about.

Positivity protocol! Please list three (or more!) things that you like about either yourself, your writing, your portrayal, or all three! Thank you! (Idk if I sent this already - my apologies if you have!)
Bonsoir, m'anon! Did you know "manon" is a French diminutive of Marie, but in Welsh the name's meaning is "beautiful queen"? I shortened it from "my anon" in French but that's what it is, so depending on if you're named Marie or want to be a beautiful queen you may take that knowledge with you.
Here are three things I like about me! Thank you for sending the thing <3
I try to be fair to my friends. It is an active thing, being fair does not happen passively! It's good communication, and checking in, and offering honest "I need"s as well as honest "I can give"s. Lots of it is about not assuming that people... dislike me... which I have to Refuse to do very loudly sometimes bc an anxiety disorder is like that, but it is work I am happy to do. I have some really nice, really supportive, really good friends here (and in the rest of my life!) and it is because I try to be one of those, myself.
Connor's pursuit of truth and refusal to be lied to is very true to his character. When I first started out there were... hmmm, there is less of Connor characterisation-wise than there is either of Markus or Kara and it's because we largely see him prior to deviating. There's a lot to Piece Together about who he is and why he is that way, but I think. Genuinely. That all of him is there, if you pay attention for it (he was always Real), and I am very happy actually with how he has shown up on this blog personality-wise. I... miss writing with Hanks more consistently (this is my own fault)... but his smirks, as well. He even has the right smirks in the right places. The understated sense of humour. The does-it-on-purpose flash of his LED that you have to be looking, to catch.
My pacing and ability to hold a tone! Especially on this blog, Connor's ... hmm, Connor's 'tone of voice'/attttmosphere? isn't my go-to tone of voice. It doesn't come naturally for me the way other roleplay characters' voices have come to me in the past, but the tone is there (I hope). I Think My Connor Comes Across As Believable, and I love that about him & about writing him.
Thank you for asking, it is always good practice to do some self-love things 💞 I hope this is not meant as a chain-mail-y thing because I do not send those on but ... if you are reading this and would like to tell me three things you like about you, please absolutely do! Self-love is underrated. 🌿

Cruel Summer, Part 18
Tumblr media
cruel summer masterlist
AN: This chapter is almost 4k words... whereas most of them have been just over 2k, so -- we had a lot of things going on. And some hopefully insightful revelations. Anyway, thank you all for your patience while I struggled with this one. I hope you enjoy learning a litttle bit more about Aelin. Okay, ONWARDS!
Aelin glances at her buzzing phone and silences it. It rings with another phone call from her dad that she sends straight to voicemail. It’s been almost three weeks since her blowout fight with her mom, and her dad has tried in vain to get them to reconcile – she’s just not ready yet.
“Your dad again?” Rowan asks, coming to sit on the couch with her. Rowan has been an undeniable pillar of strength through it all. He hasn’t pushed her to talk about the fight – he’s simply let her exist in his space, giving her a wide berth to process everything. Which is ironic, because Aelin has refused to process a single thing. She’s pushed all her discontent to the back of her brain, easily compartmentalized and boxed away to be dealt with at a later date. It’s Aelin’s most impressive ability. But, regardless of “not dealing,” she knows that without Rowan’s silent support she would have fallen apart already. She can’t even begin to express her gratefulness to him. Though, she’s tried. With her mouth. And other parts of her body.
Rowan’s fingers gently dance against the bare skin of her shoulder, and she leans into him and nods. He pulls her tighter into his side and kisses her forehead, and Aelin melts into him further.
Their moment is interrupted by Manon entering the small apartment. She takes a look at the couple on the couch and attempts to reign in her scowl, but Aelin spots it anyway. She’s come to realize that Manon might not be her biggest fan.
“Oh, you’re here…” Manon says, tossing her bag onto the kitchen counter.
“Not for long,” Rowan replies, and Aelin perks up, curious. She’d assumed they were just going to hang out in his room, like usual. Rowan looks back down at Aelin. “I was thinking we could go take some photos on the beach before the sun completely sets.”
Rowan’s favorite activity makes Aelin smile. He received a brand new Nikon and zoom lens from his mother in the mail, and she’s never seen Rowan so outwardly blown away as when he pulled it from the box. He’s snapped more pictures than she can count over the last few weeks, most of them of Aelin, which she pretends to be annoyed by but secretly loves.
Aelin glances down at her outfit – comfy leggings and one of Rowan’s old college t-shirts. “I’ll go get changed.”
He squeezes her hand as she gets up from the couch, and she makes her way into Rowan’s room to sort through the pile of clothes Dorian pinched from her room at home. She throws on a dark blue maxi dress and pulls her hair from its top knot. She fluffs her hair in the mirror, feeling more camera ready.
Rowan smiles when he sees Aelin emerge from his room, and her stomach flutters at the sight of his contented face.
They wave goodbye to Manon, who replaces them on the couch with her dinner, looking relieved to have the place to herself.
“Where to?” Aelin asks as Rowan ushers her down to his truck.
“Know any good private beaches?” he asks, and she frowns. She does. It just happens to be a very short walk away from her backyard. Rowan sees her face and squeezes her hand over the center console. “We don’t have to see your family. But. I thought maybe you’d want to.”
Aelin scrolls through the many texts from her father, which she’s left unanswered.
Fireheart, we understand you need time to cool down, but please call us when you’re ready.
Please, Aelin. Talk to us.
Your mother is sorry. She didn’t mean what she said. She was just emotional. She loves you so much. It’s upsetting her every day to know that she hurt you so badly.
Do you plan to stay with Elide indefinitely?
Are you really going to miss out on our family park day?
Gavin and Evie asked where you were today.
Dorian stopped to get your clothes. He says you’re doing well, but I’d really like to see for myself.
Fireheart, I understand that you’re hurt, but cutting us out isn’t going to make this better.
We return to Adarlan in less than a month. Let’s not have this argument ruin the rest of the summer.
The texts feel endless. And Aelin does miss her dad. She just can’t believe her mom hasn’t tried to reach out and apologize to her. After everything she said… Aelin shakes it off, not willing to think about those hateful words and shrugs at Rowan.
“Sure.”
“Really?” he asks cautiously. Aelin nods. He’s right. Their private beach is the perfect place for a sunset photoshoot.
They park at the Playland, which is still bustling with activity, and walk down the beach until they get to the pale sand behind the Ashryver’s estate. Aelin glances up at her room balcony in the distance, half covered in twining roses, and her chest clenches uncomfortably.
Rowan surprises Aelin by wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her back against his chest, and she relaxes into him. He leans down and sticks his nose against her neck, and Aelin releases a shaky breath. As his chin finds a place to rest on her shoulder, Aelin’s eyes slide toward him, taking in the periphery of his tanned face and messy hair. She can’t help but smile.
Click.
The shutter of the camera whirs as Rowan takes a picture of them.
“Test shot,” he says, straightening up and looking at the display. Aelin peers over his arm to look, too, and she gasps at the casually beautiful photo.
It’s a closeup of their faces – with a soft pastel sunset out of focus behind them. But the thing that really shocks is the way she looks at Rowan. And the way he smiles back at her. She looks so happy with him. Aelin is so happy with him. She wants to print that photo out and keep it forever so she can remember this feeling long after this summer ends. Her stomach rumbles with something akin to sadness, but she pushes it far, far down. She knows her feelings about her mother aren’t the only thing she’s decided to compartmentalize – but she’s not going to unpack those either.
“I think that’s the first picture you’ve taken of us together,” she comments coolly, and Rowan lifts an eyebrow.
“I guess it is.” He looks down at the display screen again, then back at her with a confident smile. “We look pretty good together.”
“You’ll send that one to me, right?” she asks, and Rowan’s green eyes glow brightly as he assures her he will.
He leans down and kisses her forehead – his new favorite place to kiss, and a blanket of warmth and joy caresses Aelin’s face. Rowan directs her down to the water, where the small waves crash against the sand, and Aelin pulls up the long skirt of her dress, so as not to get wet. As she skips through the waves, her feet dancing in circles across the darkened sand, Rowan snaps pictures.
Aelin lets her heavy worries about her mother and their fight and the impending end of summer float away as she enjoys living in this moment. The setting sun casts shadows of deep magenta and purple and orange across the water, shimmering across the small ripples in the water. Feeling the cool sand beneath her toes, Aelin tilts her head back, closes her eyes, and grins.
She breathes in the salty sea air, especially pungent with the evening tide, but her moment of calm is disrupted by a large wave, which knocks against the back of her thighs, breaking all over her skirt, drenching her up to her waist.
Her eyes shoot open as she squeals loudly, and her peals of laughter float across the beach as Rowan continues taking pictures from the dry safety behind his camera.
Aelin runs out of the water and drops her dress skirt to the ground. It’s completely soaked.
Rowan finally lowers his camera, and she can see him biting his lip in an attempt to hold back his laughter.
“Shut up.” Aelin pouts as a cool breeze whips through the air, whirling around her and making her skin prickle with goosebumps.
“Come here,” he says with a soft smirk, and she happily obeys.
Rowan rubs his hands up and down her bare shoulders, trying fruitlessly to warm her as the sun completely descends behind the horizon. As she tries to wring the water out of her dress, Aelin shivers. Searching for more heat, she tries to pull herself closer to Rowan, but he takes a large step back.
“You’re dripping everywhere,” he laughs, and Aelin winks.
“You didn’t seem to mind that last night.”
Rowan’s cheeks redden, and Aelin cackles, loving how easily she can fluster him, just with the mention of sex.
He stares at her, and she watches as his bright eyes darken as she takes a large step toward him. He steps back again.
“Aelin, no…” he warns.
“Aelin, yes,” she decrees as she leaps into his arms, pressing her wet body against his as she attacks his face with kisses. He laughs against her lips, and she tightens her grip around his neck, pulling him as close as he can get to her.
“You’re evil,” he mumbles between kisses, and Aelin thinks he’s far too coherent if he’s able to reply so easily.
She squeezes her legs around his waist and drags her mouth to his ear. She scrapes her teeth down his strong jaw and lets her tongue snake out and taste his skin. Aelin’s efforts are rewarded with a pained groan and the feeling of Rowan’s fingers sliding through her hair and caressing the nape of her neck.
She reaches back for his lips and she hums happily as he lets her deepen their kiss. After she’s sated, she slows and pulls her face back to catch her breath. She smiles and kisses his lips softly.
Rowan smiles back, and as she looks into his eyes, she sees the depths of emotion that truly terrify her. Her box of emotions threatens to open and spill everywhere, and she can’t have that. She closes her eyes and kisses him one last time before sliding down onto the cold sand, awash in guilt. And not just for dampening his clothes with ocean water.
“Should I sneak into your room and grab you something dry to wear?” he asks, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. “You’re freezing.”
Aelin lifts her nose as the faint traces of cigar smoke waft through the air. She would know that smell anywhere. It smells like summer nights on her back patio with her dad. Her stomach clenches.
“No,” she whispers. “Let’s just go.” She bolsters herself by plastering a cocky smile across her face and squeezing Rowan’s hand. “You can warm me up when we get home.”
“But that means you’ll be getting wet all over again,” Rowan deadpans, and Aelin’s feet stop moving in shock.
“Rowan Whitethorn,” she says, eyes wide. “Did you just make a dirty joke?”
His cheeks flame with a dark blush, and she drags him back to his truck quickly, so he can follow through on his promise.
He does, and then some, and Aelin wakes up the next morning sore and satisfied.
She stretches out and frowns at the cold spot next to her where Rowan should be. He’s up early today. She hears voices murmuring outside in the living room and decides to get dressed and join them. She’s stepping into her shorts when she hears Manon’s sharp voice ask, “And what about our no live-in girlfriend rule?”
Aelin moves closer to the closed door and listens as shame rises within her. She knew she’d overstayed her welcome.
“It doesn’t count if she’s not my girlfriend,” Rowan quips back, and Aelin bites her lip, worrying the skin there. She can hear the anger in his biting tone, and it unnerves her.
“Oh please, you gave her apartment keys, Rowan.” Manon says with an undignified snort.
“So she doesn’t feel like a prisoner, trapped with nowhere to go!”
“Come on, dude,” Manon drawls. “If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…”
“We’re not ducks,” Rowan insists, and Aelin almost laughs with Manon at his reply.
“You are ducks, and also liars,” Manon insists. “Quack, quack, bitch.” A long beat of silence.
“I’ll talk to her,” Rowan says, his former anger turning into resignation. Aelin knows this means she needs to start thinking about where she’s going to go next. She knows Aedion and Lysandra would let her crash, but she’s not sure she’s forgiven Aedion for everything he said about Rowan, either. She definitely can’t stay at Dorian’s; his father gives her the creeps. And with Elide and Lorcan just getting together, she has no intention of being a cockblock to one of her best friends. Maybe it’s finally time to go home.
She remembers the faint smell of cigar and sighs. As if on cue, her phone buzzes with another text from her dad.
Can I take you out to lunch? Anywhere you want. You won’t have to see your mom.
Aelin finally responds.
Okay.
Her dad is ecstatic, and replies back quickly, arranging details to meet at Aelin’s favorite sandwich shop in town. A small little hole in the wall Italian deli called Rinaldi’s.
When Rowan enters his bedroom, he clutches at his hair nervously, and Aelin decides to put him out of his misery quickly. She doesn’t need him to explain why she needs to leave.
“So, I finally texted my dad back,” she says, and Rowan’s eyes widen in surprise. That is not the conversation he was expecting to have.
“Wow. Uh… what prompted that?” he asks, looking at her seriously.
She shrugs. “Maybe being at the house last night. Maybe it’s just time to get over it.” She looks around the room. “I know I’ve been here way too long.”
Rowan looks alarmed. “No, no. I told you you could stay as long as you want, and I meant it.” He pauses and swallows nervously. “I’ve really enjoyed having you here.”
“I’ve enjoyed being here,” she admits, and her heart beats faster at the blinding grin that takes over Rowan’s face. “But, we’ll see how convincing my dad is.”
“Okay,” he says nervously. She kisses him softly and smiles.
“Now go, before you’re late to work.” She grabs him by the collar of his polo and kisses him again, and she loves the way the tips of his ears turn pink – the first tell tale signs of his arousal. She likes leaving him flustered and wanting more. Plus, it’s nearly impossible for her to keep her hands to herself, so it works out nicely.
Aelin lazes around Rowan’s room for the rest of the morning, too scared to run into Manon, who works from home. She finally sneaks out and makes her way to the restaurant. She hopes to get there with time to spare, but when she arrives, Rhoe is already waiting outside, arms crossed nervously.
Aelin resists the urge to hug him, nodding tightly instead. She leads him in and orders her favorite sandwich – prosciutto and provolone with hot peppers and vinegar on a roll. And her dad’s – hot pastrami with swiss and mustard on rye – and then finds a small table near the window.
Rhoe looks tired. If the bags under his eyes are any indication, he hasn’t been sleeping much.
“You look good.” He reaches out a hand across the table and then retracts it, nervously, unsure of what to do.
“You look terrible,” Aelin replies. Her filter must be broken this morning. Rhoe laughs, despite her comment.
“The two loves of my life are fighting,” he says quietly, and Aelin is torn between wanting to scream at him or cry. Either way, she’s about to unleash three weeks worth of feelings she’s been ignoring.
Crying wins out. Moisture stings the corners of her eyes as her eyes fill with tears. She blinks rapidly, trying to keep them in, but a rogue tear drips down her cheek. She swipes at it hastily and breathes deeply, trying to get her emotions back under control. But she can’t. And she suddenly feels very, very small.
“Is that really what mom thinks of me?” Aelin asks, her voice barely a whisper through the thick frog in her throat. “That I’ve been a waste of her time and money?”
“No, Fireheart,” he assures her, finally reaching for her hand across the table. Aelin lets him.
“I’m sorry I don’t like Sam, but he’s not nice, Daddy.” Another tear falls from her eye. And another. Aelin can’t swipe at them fast enough. “He’s so spoiled. And entitled. And…” Her voice breaks. “And I don’t want to be anything like him. But… she likes him, and she hates me.”
“Oh, baby, she doesn’t hate you,” Rhoe insists. “She loves you. So, so much.” He pauses. “She just doesn’t understand why you don’t want the same life she has.” Rhoe sighs. “Believe it or not, this is a fight I’ve had with her many times before. Every time she enrolled you in etiquette classes or ballroom dance lessons or cotillion…” He sighs.
“Aedion was just so eager to fit in,” he continues. “He wanted to follow in the Ashryver footsteps. To join the business. But you have never wanted that.” Rhoe laughs, recalling a memory. “I remember the first time you came home from your etiquette classes. You pulled those little white gloves off your hand and said ‘YUCK’ so loud. You were disgusted by the fact that you had to touch some little boy’s hand.”
Aelin remembers those lessons. The girls stood in a circle on the inside, while the boys stood in a circle on the outside, facing them. They’d learned how to give a proper handshake, and curtsey and bow. She was only nine. She had hated every second of it. The dance lessons were even worse.
“They were sweaty,” Aelin chokes out, and her dad smiles sadly.
“When you started dating Chaol,” he begins again, and Aelin tenses up. She’s not sure she’s ready for the commentary on her five year long failed relationship. “Mom was so excited. Long time friends with the Havillards. In your college class. Destined for business, just like his father. But, you never quite fit with him. And I watched you try and change yourself, contort yourself to be the partner Chaol wanted. And we all saw your light dim.”
Aelin doesn’t bother swiping her tears as her father talks. They run in steady streams down her cheeks and down her chin, dripping onto the table.
“But since you’ve been free of him, you have bloomed again. You have been glowing this entire summer, and I’m sorry your mother hasn’t seen it.” He looks her straight in the eye. “But I do.”
Aelin sniffles loudly. The waiter places their sandwiches in front of them, looking terrified at the scene in front of him, so Aelin waves him off, assuring him she’s fine.
“So, you’re not going to sell me off to the highest bidder just because I don’t know what I want to do with my life yet?” she asks.
“All we want you to do with your life is be happy,” Rhoe says and takes a large bite of his sandwich. “Whatever that means to you.”
“What if what makes me happy doesn’t live up to her expectations?” Aelin fiddles with her napkin.
“We’ll deal with that when we get to that,” Rhoe says, patting Aelin’s hand comfortingly. “So, will you please come back home?” he asks, and Aelin nods.
“On one condition,” she says, and Rhoe clasps his hands, waiting patiently for her to continue. “I want to go on the staff overnight next weekend.” She clears her throat. “Elide has been talking about it for years. That it’s her favorite weekend of the summer, and I’m friends with all of them anyway, and I want to go.”
Rhoe chuckles. “That’s the condition? Not… an apology from your mother?”
Aelin shrugs. “I only want her apology if she means it.”
“Fine,” Rhoe replies. “I’ll have your mom talk to Lorcan about adding you to the list of attendees.” He pauses. “You know there’s a ropes course, right? And hiking?” Aelin nods. “It’s just… you’re not much of an outdoor girl, honey.”
Aelin frowns. Her father’s right, she’s not much for hiking and trust activities, but she doesn’t want to lose a whole weekend with Rowan either. Not with so little of the summer left.
“I’m going.”
He holds up his hands in defeat. “Your condition is accepted.”
The pair finish their sandwiches in relative silence, which is good because Aelin can’t begin to process everything her dad just said to her. She feels somewhat reassured, but she can’t stop hearing her mother’s shrill voice repeating, “You have been a waste of my time and money!” over and over in her head. And she knows without a doubt if she really told her mom what was making her happy this summer, she’d be saying much, much worse.
Her dad is right – she has never wanted to be part of the family business, nor has she wanted to be married off and slip into high society life. And those are the only paths her mom views as viable.
Aelin can’t allow herself the privilege of thinking of other possible paths. Other paths with other people. She has no idea what that life might look like, but she knows it’s not allowed for her. If she even barely contemplates the possibility of that future, she knows she will be crushed when she can’t have it. Her chest tugs, wanting her to open that box, and see what that option holds for her, as dead ended as it might be. But she ignores it.
This is nothing more than a summer fling, she reminds herself. When she gets back to Adarlan, she’ll recalibrate and figure out what her life’s purpose is. But for the next few weeks, she’s sticking with what makes her happy. Here. In Terrasen.
She pulls out her phone and texts Rowan:
My dad was pretty convincing. I’m headed back home tonight.
I’ll leave the window unlocked for you ;)
“Everything alright?” Rhoe asks, wiping the crumbs from his mouth.
“Yup,” Aelin assures him, far too brightly. It is. At least, for now.

Why the statue scene in Puppeteer 2.0 is good actually
Okay, first of all: I know a lot of people who hate that scene because it causes them to cringe and feel massive amounts of second-hand embarrassment. As someone who often feels that too and dislikes a lot of popular television because of it (fucking 30 Rock…), I can sympathise. If you feel that way, that is a valid reason to dislike the scene and episode, even if I personally don't. And I'm not even going to try to change your mind here.
That said, I've always found it interesting how Miraculous Ladybug handles "cringe". The show constantly creates scenarios where you expect cringe, but then resolves them in ways that are wholesome and heartwarming. Consider:
The girl wants to give her crush a scarf and is really bad at it, and throughout the episode, things go wrong for her at every turn. If you've watched enough american TV then you might expect a resolution where the scarf gets destroyed, or he hates it, or he thinks Chloé gave it to him, or… but it's none of that. He loves the scarf, and it gives him the (sadly mistaken) hope that his father might actually care for a few hours. The plan failed, but in a way that was heartwarming and nice (and Marinette agrees with that).
Marinette leaves an embarrassing voice mail on his phone. Expectation: Shenanigans ensue, and at the end the entire class hears it. Reality: Theft ensues, and Marinette successfully deletes the message.
There is an opportunity to do a photo shoot with him. Expectation: Something embarrassing happens to Marinette, and Chloé ends up being Adrien's partner. Reality: Manon is the partner, and everyone agrees it's cute and wholesome.
Marinette accidentally deletes an important video from Alya's phone. Resolution: It's okay, Alya has already made a backup, because she knows stuff like that happens around Marinette and she still fully loves and supports her.
Marinette sends him an anonymous love poem (by accident). And he receives it and loves it.
The list goes on. It's arguably even more fundamental than that. The whole concept of the love square could so easily be super-cringy, if you set it up so that Adrien is actively annoyed by Marinette and Ladybug is actively annoyed by Chat Noir. Which is of course not true (no matter how often salters claim it is). Ladybug loves to flirt with Chat, while Adrien is head over heels for Marinette and just hasn't noticed yet.
Even the whole part where Marinette is often clumsy and bad at expressing herself is generally played in a friendly, wholesome way. Marinette is sometimes embarrassed, but the show goes out of its way to convince us that she's never truly humiliated.
Until the statue scene, of course.
But while the statue scene does have a lot of cringe factor, I think it's really important and actually positive for Marinette's and Adrien's relationship. It is basically their first couple's fight, and it shows how they recover from it. The key elements for this are:
It is not a joke. Okay, Marinette's speech to Assumed!Statue!Adrien is. But when Adrien reveals himself and Marinette is humiliated, her humiliation is not a punchline; it is a very serious deal and Adrien immediately tries all in his power to apologise and make up for it.
They're both at fault. Well, fault may be the wrong word here. But this is not a Marinette plan that backfires, nor an Adrien plan that backfires; it is both at the same time. Adrien doesn't just apologise to Marinette out of pity, he is actually responsible, because he made a stupid joke. Yes, he couldn't know that Marinette would react that way, but neither could she know that he'd do that. Nobody is at fault, but both are responsible, and both recognise that.
It happens because both of them care for one another. Marinette is of course in love with Adrien, but also just plain wants to be more comfortable around him. Adrien loves spending time with his Very Good Friend™ and wants her to be comfortable. It ends up clashing because both of them lack essential information, but everyone involved came into it with the best of intentions, and neither of them was selfish (the general standard for selfishness being, of course, whether Tikki approves).
The resolution may not bring them closer together, but it still deepens their relationship. Adrien opening up about his crush (even if it is just a tiny bit) to Marinette does end up hurting her, but it is also a giant sign of his trust in her. He doesn't talk about his crush on Ladybug with anyone but Plagg - and now, Marinette. And for what it's worth, while Marinette is sad, she doesn't seem uncomfortable around Adrien either, nor is she trying to pull away. This same weird duality where Marinette both loves hanging out with Adrien but also hurts is, of course, on full display later in Love Eater.
So with that out of the way, I would posit that the statue scene is not the worst thing ever, but instead actually a good thing if seen in context (though that doesn't make it any less cringy).
The thing that actually makes the episode suck is that the wax figure museum gimmick is a stupid ploy to sell tickets for a tourist attraction that partnered with the show. And it is yet another victim of whatever budget cut caused season three to often lack new villain designs (see also Gamer 2.0, Chat Blanc, Stormy Weather 2.0, Félix, Ladybug…). Manon deserves better. She should get a Miraculous once she's old enough.

Nesryn x Sartaq baby headcanons
Meet all the hot royal people! There’s a lot of them!
- So you see, with all the other royal people it was different
- They just have to produce one heir. One.
-For Nesryn and Sartaq? at least two
-Preferably way more
-The current Khagan is in good health, though, so they have a bit to wait
-Which is good, because Nesryn is still mildly freaked out about the whole 'might become empress of the mightiest kingdom in the world' thing
-With her whole family living in the Southern Continent now, Nesryn is content
-She and Sartaq spend a lot of time in the mountains with the ruks
-And she actually has a part in Borte and Yeran's wedding. Nesryn and Borte pretty much become bffs.
-However, duty calls, and Sartaq must return
-And though he says she can stay in the mountains, Nesryn decides to return with him
-All of the royal siblings have pretty much accepted Nesryn as their new sister. (Some more than others, cough cough Arghun)
-And so they don't mind letting her sit in on important meetings.
-In fact, her advice is often valued
-Although the current empress is a very quiet woman, she takes a liking to Nesryn quickly. She can be seen sometimes, whispering to her son about what a good choice he made in wife
-Though she is very happy in the Southern Continent, Nesryn does miss her friends a lot
-She writes, but it can take months for mail to reach the mainland, so sometimes she just doesn't even try
-When the first Peace Ball is held, Nesryn is over the moon
-But it just takes so much time to get there and back that she and Sartaq admit they really can't go every year. Instead they settle for every other year
-Duva has had her baby, a little boy named Taran
-After his birth, Nesryn mentions that Sartaq should probably tell his siblings what the two of them have planned
-Which he insists she must do as well, since she helped him think of what to say
-So the future empress and emperor tell the other royal siblings this:
-They will break the tradition of killing the opposing siblings. They will leave them to live their lives, so long as they never pose a threat of any kind
-And it hurts Sartaq's heart, but he must say his conditions
-If either of them find out about scheming or betrayal, all the siblings and their children lose their lives. They will not tolerate anything of the sort
-But, thankfully, even Arghun and Hasar, notorious for their scheming, agree to the terms
-Nesryn and Sartaq get married about a year later
-Hasar, Duva, Renia, Delara, and Borte are all there to help her get dressed, and Nesryn has never felt happier
-At least, until she is officially married to the love of her life
-Chaol and Yrene actually make it just in time, and all of Nesryn's nieces, nephews, and little cousins are running around. They've even adopted one-year-old Taran into their group
-The two retreat to the mountains for a month-long honeymoon, because they can
-And they spend a long time in just pure marriage bliss
-Eventually, they return
-And Nesryn gets to work helping out
-She quickly becomes a favorite of the people. Neith's Arrow, their own future empress
-Thankfully, with the Southern Continent having such a casual culture, nobody minds Nesryn wearing riding leathers or sparring clothes around the palace. So long as she dresses up nicely for formal events, they couldn't care less
-She is able to spend a lot of time with her family, baking sweets in their kitchen
-Their sugared almond puffs can put even the palace cooks to shame
-Everything is good, peaceful, and happy
-When they attend a Peace Ball, Nesryn manages to find herself enamoured with the little Fae babies running around everywhere. Aelin and Rowan make some damn cute kids
-And Nesryn can't really help herself
-On the trip home, she gets a terrible case of seasickness
-But when it doesn't stop, even after being home for weeks, she and Sartaq start to suspect something is up
-And, sure enough, Nesryn is pregnant
-To say they are ecstatic is an understatement
-It isn't long before everyone in the palace knows
-Everyone congratulates them, even Arghun, who looks very slightly pissed off the whole time
-Sartaq is a bit of an overbearing mother hen throughout the whole thing, even though Nesryn promises him she's fine
-She spends a lot of time with her sister, because Delara has had four kids already, you know?
-And also she's craving sweets 24/7
-Nesryn actually goes past her due date, and that sucks because she feels like a whale
-At this point she's like "Sartaq I can't believe you did this to me"
-When she finally goes into labor, it's a blessing
-Duva is there, because despite her vapidness, she has had a baby and knows what Nesryn needs
-Delara doesn't get the message until later, and arrives right before Nesryn starts pushing
-With her sister and sister-in-law coaching her, Nesryn has the strength she needs to give birth
-It's a beautiful baby boy with his father's face
-Sartaq is so in love with his new son and with his amazing, incredible wife
-They name him Kasem, which means 'happiness'
-Kasem grows up with tons of aunties and uncles. He always has someone to watch him, no matter what time of day
-They take him to the mountains when he is six months old, in the middle of summer so he doesn't have to spend the night in the cold
-Kadara and Salkhi love the little babe a lot. They are gentle, even when he tugs on their feathers
-Borte is absolutely in love with her little nephew
-A year after Kasem's birth, Duva and her husband have a baby girl named Haya
-And when Kasem is two, Borte and Nesryn both become pregnant
-Nesryn spends most of her pregnancy in the mountains with Borte, and the two are practically joined at the hip
-Her second pregnancy is much easier, though she still has awful morning sickness in the beginning
-Borte gives birth first, to a baby girl she names Indra
-Nesryn is not far behind, having her second baby barely a week after Borte
-It's a girl as well
-She is named Dara, which means 'pearl of wisdom'
-And sure enough, little Dara is very wise
-She always seems to be very smart and mature for her age
-Around the same time Nesryn and Borte have their babies, Arghun's wife has their first child, a girl named Maleia
-Dara likes her cousins a lot, though she is always closer to Indra than Maleia
-In the coming years, more babies are born
-Borte and Yeran have another little girl named Varsha, and Arghun becomes a father to another daughter, who he names Vanida
-For Nesryn and Sartaq, they are content with their little family, for the time being
-Dara loves books a lot, and when she goes to her first Peace Ball, she becomes best friends with Aris, Dorian and Manon's daughter
-She is also the darling of the public. She loves people and attention at all times
-Kasem is a very confident little boy, often boasting that he can beat anybody at anything
-Needless to say, he gets a few lessons in losing graciously
-Kasem and Dara are best friends as well, and they love to be around their (much) older cousins and baking with their mother's side of the family
-When Kasem is eight, Nesryn finds out she is pregnant again
-Since it's been a while since her last pregnancy, this one is fairly difficult. She stays in the palace a lot and is tired all the time
-But she thankfully delivers a health baby girl she names Dhyana, which means 'meditation'
-She's only just getting used to having a new baby when...
-Nesryn finds out she's expecting again
-She isn't sure how to feel. She's happy for another baby, but she doesn't know if she's prepared to have two little ones at the same time
-But, she knows she's going to have a lot of help
-I would also like to add... Sartaq is an amazing father
-He is so very patient, with his kids and with others
-No matter what, he always makes time for them
-He grew up feeling distant from his parents, and he doesn't want that for his children
-And Nesryn, she's a great mom
-She's definitely the fun parent
-The kids love to watch her because everything she does is just so mesmerizing
-And she's a great singer
-When she's on the mainland, people often ask her and Rowan for duets because they have amazing singing voices and they sound pretty good together actually
-But she always sings her kids to sleep
-And every single time Sartaq falls in love with her all over again
-No matter what kind of day they've had, whether they argued or they just cuddled all day, Sartaq can always count on hearing her sing to their kids
-The next baby they have is a little boy
-His name is Ronin, which means 'warrior'
-Ronin is the shyest of Nesryn and Sartaq's children
-He gets along well with Dara, because he likes to read and create
-The same year he is born, Kashin and his new wife have a baby boy named Haider
-Sometimes Nesryn will just find him wandering around the palace halls, lost in his own little world
-Two years after Ronin's birth, Hasar and Renia announce that they are going to have a baby
-The man who did it is kept a closely guarded secret, but nobody really cares about him
-Hasar and Renia have a baby boy named Rangsey
-And Nesryn... wants another baby
-Which she never thought she'd say, seeing as she has four kids already
-But Sartaq agrees wholeheartedly, and Nesryn finds herself pregnant again
-This pregnancy... is tough
-It's the hardest one she's ever gone through
-She's terribly exhausted all the time, sometimes even so tired she can't tuck her kids in. Sartaq is not a good replacement singer
-Thankfully, though, the terrible pregnancy leads to an easy birth, with a beautiful, healthy baby girl at the end
-This baby is the last one Nesryn will ever have. She is sure her family is complete
-The baby is named Akira, which means 'intelligent and bright'
-Akira is a little warrior. She adores watching the soldiers train
-When she is two, her family travels out to the plains of the horse-people to visit Kashin's new son, Kiran
-After taking one ride on a horse, Akira never wants to leave
-Of course, she must, but there are a lot of tears that day
-All the kids grow up in a palace full of aunties, uncles, and cousins everywhere
-They are adored by the people, and by their parents
-And every time she looks at them, Nesryn can hardly believe how far she's come
-A lowly guard patrolling Adarlan's slums, and suddenly she's in line to be the empress of the strongest empire in the world, with an incredible husband she loves with her whole heart and five amazing children
-Nesryn has found her place
-In the story Worlds of Fire and Darkness, Kasem is 18, Dara is 16, Dhyana is 9, Ronin is 8, and Akira is 5. There are so many other kids but know they range from 22 to 3.

ML: Isolation Chapter 8: Deals
Arien walked into class the next day to see a crowd had gathered around Ivan. He decided to follow suit. The reason why became apparent, as Ivan had some scars on his face. “Ivan, what happened?”
Ivan smiled and said “Buster did it.”
Adrien was confused. “Allow me to explain,” Mylene said. “See, Ivan asked to help volunteer with me yesterday. I was going to the animal shelter, and I thought I had a good idea. See, some of the bigger dogs get a little too energetic, so I thought Ivan could play with them for a bit to help calm them down. And he was doing a great job, but Buster, one of the biggest ones, got too into it and scratched him.”
“I see,” Adrien said.
“It was a complete accident, and Buster even felt sorry about the whole thing,” Ivan said.
“Yeah, Ivan’s been really forgiving about this whole thing” Mylene said.
“Why don’t you show them the pictures?” Ivan asked.
“Pictures?” Alix asked.
Ivan nodded. He looked at Mylene. “Oh, alright,” Mylene said. “I was worried because they were all from before the scar, but since you say it’s OK…” she took out her phone and everyone gathered around her. Mylene showed off a series of photos of Ivan playing with dogs. It was completely adorable.
“I gotta say, I didn’t think you had it in you,” Alix said.
Ivan blushed. “I wasn’t sure I had it in me either. But honestly, it was a lot of fun.”
“It’s all thanks to Adrien here,” Kim said.
Adrien blushed. “Who me? I didn’t do anything.”
“That’s not true,” Ivan said. “Your talk inspired me to help, and I want to thank you for it.”
“Oh, well, thanks,” Adrien said.
“You’re a natural,” Kim said.
“Yeah” said Alix. “I mean, Lila’s been great and all, but I’ve never seen a result this dramatic this fast. Maybe she could learn a thing or two from you.”
Lila was surprised. She blushed, rubbed the back of her head, and said “Maybe.”
“We’ll see,” Adrien said. “I mean, I imagine we’re both pretty busy. From what I’ve heard, after school, your life is an adventure!”
“I’m sure we can make the time,” Lila said. “I mean, you’ve gotten to know the class, and you’ve only been here for a week or so.”
“That’s true. A lot has happened” Adrien said. What would happen if Lila and I were alone? She can’t know I’m on to her, can she? If she doesn’t know, I don’t think she would cue me in on her goal just yet. It’s still too early. Still, I should be on guard for that meeting. “Well, if our schedules allow for some one on one time, I guess we could talk.”
Lila blushed. “I’d like that.” Shortly after class began for the day.
During break, Ivan met up with Adrien alone. “Hey, thanks again man” he said.
“No problem” Adrien replied.
“I mean it” Ivan said. “I know I only asked to try and get closer to Mylene, but the whole experience was rewarding.”
“I’m glad you liked it,” Adrien said. Ivan then grew concerned. “What’s up?”
“Well… If I tell you something, can you promise not to tell anyone else?” Ivan asked.
Adrien smiled. “Of course.”
Ivan smiled back. “Thanks. ...It’s just, you kind of remind me of Marinette. You know, before she...well…”
Adrien was surprised. “Huh.”
“It’s just, she used to be so helpful,” Ivan said. “I guess she was, even when she was jealous of Lila. Don’t get me wrong, she shouldn’t have bullied Lila, or stolen from her, but if you were to talk to her outside of Lila, it was like talking to you right now.”
“I see…” Adrien said, pondering this.
“I mean, Lila’s been helpful,” Ivan said, “it’s just...uh...how do I say this? She is a nice person, but she’s not as good at it?”
Adrien smiled. “It’s OK. Remember, this is staying between the two of us.”
Ivan smiled. “Thanks. Well, we should get going.”
“Alright,” Adrien said. Ivan left. Adrien looked around and saw Lila standing by herself. He decided to walk over and say “Hello.” Lila looked at him curiously. “Looks like we’ll get that chance to talk sooner than we thought.”
“I guess” Lila smiled. She looked sad. “So, how do you do it?”
“Do what?” Adrien asked.
“Well, you heard the class today,” Lila said. “How do you help people so well?”
Adrien had to tread lightly. I don’t want her to undermine me on any future attempts to deconstruct her web. I still don’t even know how big it is yet. It would be foolish to make it bigger before my eyes. I just have to give a vague answer. “Well, I just listen and give positive reinforcement,” he said.
“I try to do that too,” Lila said. “But you’ve helped Ivan in a way I couldn’t. Why is that?”
She’s trying to get a more specific answer. Just keep it vague, and we should be fine for now. “Well, I guess that’s just because we’re different people,” he said. “We have different experiences, and as such, we would have different ways of helping people.”
“Huh” said Lila. “That wasn’t what I was expecting, but I guess that makes sense.”
Adrien smiled. “Tell you what. If you’re helping someone out, why don’t you text me or something? That way, we can work together! You showing off your strengths, and I showing off mine. I mean, two heads are better than one after all.”
Lilai was taken aback. She blushed and said “I’d like that.”
“I’d like that too,” Adrien said.
“Well, we should get back to class,” Lila said.
“OK” Adrien said. He started walking when he noticed Lila grabbing his arm. “Um, Lila?”
“Huh? Oh” Lila said. She let go. “Sorry. I just get nervous easily. You know, ever since the incident. And you just seem so brave. So, I just kind of…”
Adrien smiled. “I understand. Just make sure to ask. I’m not great with people touching me unexpectedly. Between my fans and Chloe, it started feeling uncomfortable.”
“Oh no,” Lila said. “Don’t worry. I’ll have a nice chat with Chloe about this.”
“You don’t have to,” Adrien said. Lila was surprised. “What I mean is, I’ve already talked to her about it, and she’s gotten better about it.” Lila smiled and nodded and the two walked off.
OK, I don’t think she’s on to me, and I’ve laid a trap. Sure, it’s double edged, and whether or not she’ll spring it is up in the air, but it’s still worth trying. Still, she knows one of my weaknesses now. It’s not a weakness she can use well, but I should be careful regardless.
After school that day, he hung out with Nino at the dance club. They taught each other more about the dancing styles they knew, and had another good time all around. However, when it came time for Adrien to leave, Nino rushed him out again. Once could be coincidence, but twice now? Something’s up. I just need to find a good time to ask about it.
He then got out his phone. He was going to message his bodyguard but decided to do a quick check of Noir Notes to see if there was anything new. He had now got in the habit of bringing his costume along, so if there was something he could do, he could do it.
Nothing around him looked like he was needed, and anything new on the site was more speculation, which was wildly varying, and more requests. Again, most of these requests were trivial in nature. But there was a new one that caught his eye due to how odd it was.
“Hello? Cat Noir? Um, I have a note I want to deliver to someone, but I don’t know how. Could you possibly do it for me? I’ll be in the TV station lobby tonight until 6:30. Thank you.”
Adrien was puzzled. He checked the time stamp. Today. And it’s about 5:45 now… He realized the Kids+ TV studio wasn’t too far from here. Well, let’s just hope this is the right one… He messaged his bodyguard saying to pick him up there at about 6:25, and went on his way.
Once he got there, he hid on the side of the building and dressed up, leaving his bag behind. As Cat Noir, he walked into the building. He approached the receptionist and rang the bell. The receptionist looked up confused and surprised.
“Pssst! Over here” said a voice. He looked over to see a young girl waving at him. Adrien was now the one who was confused and surprised. He walked over. He saw she had a lot of paper and some crayons for drawing. “I knew you’d make it!”
Adrien smiled. I love her optimism Although, she is a child, so she probably doesn’t know it was dumb luck that brought me here. I won’t tell her though. He grabbed some of the paper and a black crayon and decided to write his statements, stylizing them like a child. “How did you get onto Noir Notes?”
“Um, I saw mommy doing some research on there. She’s a news reporter! She gave me this” she said, holding up a tablet, “to watch some videos on, but I really needed to get this note out” she now held up her note. “So, I logged on and tried my best.”
Adrien smiled for her. “You did good kid. What’s your name?”
“Manon” she said. “Anyway, can you deliver this?” She held up the letter.
“Who’s it for?”
Manon looked sad. “It’s for my old babysitter,” she said. “I don’t know if you know her, but her parents run the bakery you went to.” Adrien was surprised. “Mommy said she did something bad, and that she’s not allowed to babysit me anymore. I know she didn’t do it though! She’s so nice! I wanted to deliver it to her, but I don’t know how to get there without getting a ride, and mommy won’t help me mail it. So, please?” She held out the note again, this time with her baby-doll eyes.
How could I say no to that face? He wrote “Do you need to get it to her ASAP?”
“A...SAP?”
Adrien silently chuckled. “As Soon As Possible. It means does she need it right away?”
“Oh. Well, I would like for her to get it right away, but as long as she gets it, I’ll be alright.”
“OK. Thank you. I will pass it along to her.”
Manon’s face lit up. She was so giddy she was just about to charge in for a hug. She then stopped herself and asked “Um, can I give you a hug?” Adrien nodded. Manon rushed in and hugged with vigor. Adrien hugged back.
Adrien hadn’t even considered something like this. I promise you, the two of you will be reunited. It may take some time, but I will do it. He let go and took the note. He did a two finger salute to say his goodbye and left.
He went to the side of the building to grab his bag. However, he bumped into someone. He looked up to see that it was his bodyguard, holding his bag. The two looked at each other for a little bit. Adrien surmised that he came by and saw the bag on the ground and went to investigate. Despite his appearances, Adrien knew his bodyguard wasn’t stupid. There wasn’t really a lot he could do in this situation. He sighed. “Can you at least not tell my parents and only talk to Nathalie about this?” The bodyguard was confused, but nodded. Adrien changed out of his disguise, and put it back in the bag. The two went to the car and headed home.
On his way back, Adrien messaged Marinette. “Hey, we have a bit of a situation. I got caught as Cat Noir by my bodyguard. I managed to convince him to only tell my family’s assistant, but I can’t lie to them. Could I just tell them about you? If that’s alright? Please get back to me ASAP.”
Later, Adrien was meeting with Nathalie. Adrien’s costume was on the table, along with his phone. Nathalie was rubbing her eyes. “Adrien. Please tell me you have an explanation for all of this.”
“I do,” Adrien said.
Nathalie put her glasses on and glared at him. “And?”
“Oh. Oh you want me to TELL YOU my explanation” he said. “Well...um, this is gonna be difficult.” Marinette hasn’t gotten back to me yet. I don’t know if I can keep this up.
“I can’t in good conscience hide this from your parents,” Nathalie said. “Please explain to me what possessed you to do any of this.”
“Ummmmmmmm...”
Suddenly the phone rang. Adrien reached for it, but Nathalie grabbed it first, as if her hand was as fast as hurricane winds. She noticed it wasn’t a registered number. She answered “How did you get this number?”
“Um, Adrien gave it to me” Marinette said timidly from the other line. “You’re the secretary right?” Nathalie was alarmed. “You’re talking about him being Cat Noir… Well, that’s kind of my fault.”
Adrien was worried about what was happening on the other end. He tried reaching for the phone, but Nathalie blocked him. She continued to listen to Marinette. “I see...Thank you. Have a good day.” She hung up. She sighed. “Adrien. I know you can be a bit of a problem child.” Adrien remembered several times in which he attempted to sneak out or run away just to be on his own for a little bit, causing his parents, his bodyguard, and Nathalie to worry. “But THIS just takes the cake.” Adrien looked worried. “I’ve heard what your friend Marinette had to say. Now let’s hear you explain it.”
Adrien was puzzled. “Well, so, you know how Ladybug is my favorite designer for father’s company?” Nathalie nodded. “Well, I’ve been wanting to meet with her for a while now. I figured out her name, but not much else. Then, when I went to school, I caught her catching a glimpse of me. I learned that Marinette was considered a bully, and then later, I was told by father that Ladybug had new designs for me. I knew then they were the same person.”
Adrien explained the rest of the story. How he couldn’t be seen going to the bakery, and how he felt so desperate to meet with her. The origin of the disguise. The whole Lila thing. He hoped that it got through to her.
Once he was finished, Nathalie composed herself. “Well, at least the two of you are good at corroborating, if nothing else.”
“But it’s the truth!” Adrien said.
Nathalie smiled. “I know. I can tell when you’re lying.” She sighed. “Alright, I won’t tell your parents about all of this, at least for now. But I want you to promise me something.”
Adrien was confused. “What?”
“I want you to talk to your parents more about what’s going on,” she said. “You don’t have to explain everything, at least not yet. Don’t get me wrong, I want you to, but I understand why you won’t for now.”
Adrien looked sad. “Adrien,” she said. He looked up. “They’re your parents. They care about you. They want to hear about how you’re doing. Perhaps they can even help you. Of course, I’ll be willing to help you too.” Adrien looked excited. “If what you said about this Lila person is true, then I wish to help you. I know a thing or two about behind the scenes work. Your bodyguard will also be able to help. Isn’t that right?” She looked at the bodyguard, and he nodded. “Just be sure you’re keeping up with school, and all of your other stuff.” Adrien nodded. “You’re going to be really busy. Are you sure you can handle it?”
Adrien grinned. “When you’ve had nothing to do for most of your life, there’s a lot of pent up energy to do all of this.”
Nathalie smiled a silly grin. Adrien was perplexed, because that smile was rare. “You know, I sat in on some of the meetings where your parents were discussing you going to school. Your father was worried about all sorts of things. I thought he had run through every possible scenario. I guess I was wrong.”
Adrien smiled. “Oh yeah” he said. He took Manon’s note out of his pocket. “Um, I’m supposed to deliver this to Marinette. Is that alright?”
Nathale smiled. “Don't worry Adrien, I’ll take care of this. Your father wanted me to investigate the bakery anyway. You know, after your little stunt.” Adrien blushed. Nathalie grabbed the note. “Alright. Just do whatever you were going to do when you got back before all of this. And remember what I said.”
Adrien nodded. “Thank you,” he said.
Nathalie smiled. “Let’s go!” she told the bodyguard. The two of them headed out.
Nathalie and the bodyguard had managed to get to the bakery before it closed. Nathalie walked in alone. Sabine and Tom turned to her. “Um, hello. How can we help you?”
“I know this is a bit sudden,” Nathlie said, “but I work with Gabriel Agreste. Because of the recent attention brought upon you, he wants to know about his place. I know that you’re closing now, but is there a good time to set up a meeting?”
Tom and Sabine were shocked. “Um, what would this meeting be about?” Tom stammered out.
“Mr. Agreste likes to consider a lot of possibilities” Nathalie said. “He was wondering about using your bakery as a set. Or barring that, using some of your goods for a baking motif.” Tom and Sabine looked at each other, not sure about what to do. “I will tell you, a lot of this goes nowhere. But, if you’re interested in the possibility, here’s my card,” she said, handing it to them. “Also, I found this outside your door. It’s addressed to a Marinette.”
“That’s our daughter,” Sabine said. “I’ll make sure it gets to her.”
Nathalie smiled. “Thank you. Also, if it wouldn’t be any trouble, could I get a box of cookies.”
“Oh, it’ll be no trouble at all,” Tom said. He left to get them.
“You know, Mr. Agreste’s son came in and he also got cookies,” Sabine said.
“So I’ve heard,” Nathalie said. “He told me they were delicious. I’m curious.”
“Here you go,” Tom said.
Nathalie paid for them. “Thank you.” She left the store and got in the car. They pulled off. Nathalie started eating the cookies. “Want one?” she said, offering one to the bodyguard. He rejected. She continued eating them.
The bodyguard then gave her a stern look. “Don’t look at me like that,” she said. “Look, I know it’s crazy, but I really want to help Adrien here. Was he foolish? Of course. But being young is all about making mistakes. I’m just here to make sure he’s making the right ones.” She smiled. “Besides, can’t you tell?” The bodyguard raised his eyebrow. “Our little Adrien’s in love.” The bodyguard thought about it, and then nodded. “I’m just not sure he knows it yet.”
Adrien went back to his room as soon as the meeting was over. He headed to the computer and saw Marinette messaged him. “Adrien! Are you alright? What happened?”
“I’m still trying to process that myself,” he replied. “But basically, not only has Nathalie agreed to not tell my parents, she’s willing to help me.”
“...? Why?”
“I’m not sure. But I’m glad she is.”
“Well, I’m glad things worked out for you.”
“Sorry about dragging more people into this…”
“It’s OK. This was sudden. I get it.”
“By the way, the mission I was on as Cat Noir involved you.”
“Me?”
“Yup. I was to deliver a note to you. But Nathalie’s taking it to your place. She said she needed to scout it anyway. You should be getting it soon.”
“Thanks.”
“You’re welcome. Good night.”
“Good night Adrien” she typed. She saw Adrien log off. She then spoke to herself. “What could that be?”
“Marinette!” her mom called. “There’s a letter for you! I’ll just slip it through the door as usual.” Marinette rushed over and opened the hatch door. Sabine was surprised to see her. “Marinette?”
“Uh, yeah. I just wanted to get this from you.” She took the note. “Thank you, mama!” She kissed her mom on the head, and closed the door.
Sabine was surprised. “Well, it’s good to see she's getting better.”
Marinette went up to her bed and looked at the note. “Manon?” she said, recognizing the handwriting. She opened it up.
“Marinette, Mommy says you did something bad, and you can’t be my babysitter anymore. I don’t think that’s true though. You’re so nice and kind. I can’t believe that you would do something so mean.
Mommy says you haven’t left your house much since got kicked out of school. You taught me that sometimes people just need to be alone sometimes. But I do want to see you again. I want to show you how much I’ve grown since the last time I’ve seen you. Please come out soon. Once they realize you didn’t do it, I’m sure they’ll forgive you. -Manon”
Underneath was a drawing of the two of them. Marinette was impressed, and at the same time heartbroken. Manon still believed in her. She couldn’t believe it herself. Manon looked up to her so much, and wanted her to leave. Meanwhile, here she was wallowing in self-pity. Marinette began crying. “I’m sorry Manon.”

can u please write something about how lucas loves being held, kissed and picked up by his mec...bc it’d reduce the global warming, thank you so much
-------------------------------------------------
Eliott thought that he was an expert at knowing if someone has bipolar disorder. His experiences would make him recognize someone or at least symptoms from a mile away, but he was wrong. Or he was too busy with himself to see what was right in front of him.
If someone asked for an honest answer, Eliott would say he actually enjoys his highs way too much so, whenever Lucas was being a little too high he never thought it was a symptom, that was just sort of how Lucas is constantly. Full of energy and wild ideas. And they’re crazy about each other so having sex for hours and hours and hours would never be a problem between them.
He started noticing it when their relationship started to feel like the worst roller coaster he could ever ride and Lucas was right by his side, having his highs and lows.
It became too much and Eliott needed some days away to recover and be alone. He made up a last-minute trip to see his parents and left Lucas behind. It had only been a few hours and he received the first text from Yann.
to Eliott: What’s going on? Where are you?
to Yann: On the train, going to visit my parents for the weekend. Why?
To Eliott: I don’t know...Lucas said you two broke up.
Eliott feels his heart contracting way too much inside his chest. They didn’t break up, obviously, but he can see how Lucas thought that after their conversation. Eliott said he wasn’t feeling ok, Lucas had been crying about anything for the last week and he started again when Eliott told him he was going away for the weekend, without Lucas. They usually go everywhere together so to not invite Lucas was a conscious decision he made and he saw that Lucas was hurt because of it.
His phone locked while he got lost thinking about a crying Lucas that he left behind.
to Yann: We didn’t break up, I just needed to come to my parents alone. If you can, please check on Lucas for me this weekend? I’ll be back on Monday.
To Eliott: ...Ok…
Now he’s worried. Maybe it was a mistake to just leave like that, without an explanation or without properly talking to Lucas about what he’s been worrying about. Eliott hates when people try to give him advice about his mental health when he didn’t ask for it so he couldn’t say to Lucas: you should go see a doctor.
He’s not in his perfect state of mind either, so he just thought it was for the best to step back for a few days. Maybe he was being selfish and his lack of tact to deal with Lucas’ emotions would only make it worse for the other one, but his mind was still deciding to stay selfish when he put his phone on airplane mode until he was back in Paris to deal with Lucas. He would have a few days to think on how to say it to Lucas that he should also look for a treatment.
-
The time doesn’t pass fast enough, the train seems to be taking double the time to do the same trip back to Paris.
How could you be so fucking dumb? Lucas probably hates you now. And Yann too and all the others. You’ll be lucky if they let you see him.
Eliott knows it won’t work, but he tries calling Lucas, again and again, he hears the voice mail and hangs up without leaving a message. The train finally stops and he’s the first one to get out, holding the shoulder strap of his backpack tighter, running out of the station.
While he’s inside the taxi he checks his phone again, all the unread messages from the weekend that he only replied two hours ago weren’t read yet, but from what he can understand from Manon’s and Yann’s messages, Lucas is probably in the flat, probably surrounded by all his friends.
Lucas hasn’t read his messages yet, but Eliott sends another one anyway.
to Lucas: I love you and I’m sorry. I’m on my way to the flat now.
He’s ready to wait for as long as they let them outside, ringing the bell. They probably expect him to give up at some point if they ignored him, but he needs to see Lucas right now.
He puts his backpack on the floor, looking up, the balcony door is open, the white curtain floating outside with the wind. Eliott finally rings the bell, biting his nails, thinking on what he’ll say the one second he’ll have before whoever picks up the intercom realizes that it’s him outside.
Whoever it is, Eliott doesn’t even let them say hi.
“Hey, hm, it’s Eliott-” He hears the door unlocking and he looks at it. They let them in. He grabs his bag and rushes upstairs before they can change their minds.
The door is already open and Manon is there, holding it for him.
“He was asking for you, so…” She says like she’s reading his mind about why they would let him see Lucas after everything that happened this weekend.
“Thank you…” He passes by her, looking for his boyfriend already. The common areas are empty and weirdly quiet, but it doesn’t matter. Nothing else matters when he finally sees Lucas in the hall, using some comfortable clothes, but he doesn’t look too happy. He’s so different from the Lucas that Eliott left three days ago.
There’s no light in his eyes, he looks at Eliott like he doesn’t feel a thing for him, but he’s there and he was asking for Eliott so he can’t hate him...
Eliott can’t let Lucas hate him or just don’t care about him. He made a mistake and he’ll fix everything for his boyfriend. Lucas stays still as Eliott walks to him, bending down just enough to hug him by the waist, nuzzling against his neck and Lucas finally responds, wrapping his arms around Eliott’s neck, turning his face and burying his nose on his temple.
“Putain, I love you so much, Lucas.” He whispers against the warm skin of his neck and Lucas slowly climbs on him and Eliott holds him tighter, walking to his bedroom.
Yann and Mika are still there and Eliott looks at them just for a second, noticing the death stare from Yann, but they’ll talk later, not now. Mika gently pushes Yann out of the bedroom and Eliott waits for them to be out to lock the door, taking Lucas to his bed, cuddling with him, running his fingers through his hair, saying that he’ll be ok.
Maybe he’s being pretentious, but he knows how much Lucas likes his touch and to be as close to him as he can, so today he just hopes it’ll make Lucas feel just a little bit better, to have him around, holding him tightly.

I havent seen skam fr season 4, and I've heard that it was a mess. Could you tell me what went wrong
ok, im going to say why it was awful to me personally, and im going to specifically address skam france not any other remake's s4. take in mind please that i am not muslim and i do not mean in any way to speak over anyone.
since you haven't watched it i'll give you a summary: imane's in love with a guy named sofiane. since sofiane doesn't believe in Allah, she can't be with him because of her religion. therefore she keeps her feelings hidden, which up until then, yeah, it does seem like something imane would do, but then manon comes into the story and that's where it gets fucking stupid. manon and sofiane sort of have a thing going literally nothing too serious. imane gets jealous so, like some sort of cheap telenovela, she takes advantage of the fact that she was studying with lucas at the flat, manon lent him her computer, so while lucas is distracted, imane e-mails charles (who DEFENDED his brother after what he did to manon) posing as manon asking him to come back. this leads to a lot of briefly mentioned background issues start to happen and they are all imane's fault bc of her completely out of character actions, let me give you a short list
- sofiane and charles get into a fight (a physical fight)
- everyone in the flat (lucas, mika, lisa and manon) fight bc no one knows who e-mailed charles
- lucas and eliott fight (ill get into this later)
- and ofc all the emotional stress manon is put through when she was obviously not ready to face charles much less fight with him (and they do, and it's really bad)
obviously when they find out (and about other thing with a dance contest, but that one i guess is DEBATABLE when it comes to being in character, the problem is that added up to the first thing it makes her look AWFUL) the girl squad DROPS HER as a friend, like straight up, it's not even implied. the girl squad unlike le gang is AWFUL this season they don't even TRY to be understanding and talk things out.
and that's where lucas and the elu part comes in, where, i don't know if the skamfr crew wanted to show us he was changed this bad because he's literally the only salvageable character in this season (out of the original characters, not including sofiane and idriss/imane's brother) and im not saying this as a lucas stan, because i fucking HATE the elu drama this season has, id much rather have him not show up at all, and even eliott pissed me off.
basically eliott and idriss have a bad past, eliott hides it from lucas, lucas misunderstands an interaction with idriss, brings it up with imane, and again, OUT OF CHARACTER, instead of bringing up this issue with eliott because, "hey, your dumb lie made my brother look like an homophobic asshole to my friend who is also your boyfriend!" was apparently too hard for her to say somehow, she made a vague comment that would make lucas feel upset and confront eliott and cause a fight.
anyway lucas is the only one that actually tries to place himself on imane's shoes and supports her in the little appearances he has, even after his drama with eliott. of course the girl squad eventually comes through and manon gets back together with charles because why the fuck not lmao! imane and sofiane end up together and i love them and in any case this season wasn't real they just met and fell in love!
tldr: the skam france crew did her character incredibly dirty by making her do out of character shit for the sake of drama. and it has so much background shit that is not about her!!! like the manon drama and the elu drama!!!! its like they just put all their focus on s3 and then just half assed s4. it sucks bc after s3 your expectations are really high, specially after how horrible og's s4 is.
p.s.: to anyone reading sorry if i missed anything i literally never rewatched that season and i never will
