There was no question between them when their eyes met for the first time, smoldering heat and unashamed desire. Not once would they break contact, dare to look the other way - there was nothing better to be seen. He knew in an instant that he wanted this man - right there, right then, and surely, after, he would want him again.

He smiles as his eyes land on the man across the room, and waits for him to turn.

There is no question between them now, in the same place they met six years ago their eyes still lock and they don't need words, they don't need gestures. They still gravitate towards each other, desire still burning low and steady, as they move to close the distance between them. He reaches for the harness and smirks as he tugs on the leather, pulling him in for a smoldering kiss.

5. Do you respond to comments? Mostly

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I prefer fluff and smut but I guess Absent Heart (Spartacus)

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most of my fics have happy endings, really can't tell. One of the fluffiest might be Five Weddings (CSI)

8. Do you get hate on fics? I've gotten a strange comment about MacDalton being platonic but that was on a piece of art and not an actual fic

9. Do you write smut? Absolutely

10. Do you wrote crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written? My Mandy/Jill series (Mandy from CSI and Jill from MacGyver) And I've done that odd little The 100/Spartacus crossover once

13. Have you ever co written a fic? Yes, multiple times and it's always been a blast

14. What's your all time favourite ship? Nick x David (CSI) and Lugo x Auctus (Spartacus) and actually all my ships from Spartacus

15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Well there's the sequel to Savages East of the Rhine, my Spartacus Brothel AU, Duro adopting Varro & Aurelia's kid after they die and a number of Star Trek Discovery wips... and then some 

16. What are your writing strengths? Tough. I think I'm good at getting into a character's POV, making the reader feel like they're right with the character. I also consider myself a fairly decent smut writer. I've been praised for my canon language skills in Spartacus fic, which I pride myself on. Generally dialogue, I always put great effort into making the characters sound in character and close to canon.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? World building, plot, getting from a to b. I tend to visualize scenes but then I need to get the characters there and I often struggle with "greater picture" parts.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I've used some German phrases in a fic where there was a German character. I don't feel comfortable using a language I'm not fluent in (English is already my second language) but if the show has a conlang or a character uses phrases in their native tongue a lot I'll try to incorporate that. Might wanna try to find a native speaker to proof read though.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written? Please don't ask me that, there are so many. I'm probably most proud of Savages East of the Rhine though

More than Six Sentences Sunday

I have actually written more than six sentences today. Yay me :)

Thank you @telltaleclerk for tagging me. This is from my Lugo x Auctus WIP which is essentially just a giant draft of half sentences, but I found a paragraph that reads halfway smoothly.

Auctus briefly considered engaging in conversation, but soon realized Agron’s attention was yet again consumed by his lover, who was sparring with Lugo mere feet away from them.

He shook his head but decided to follow the man’s example. The pair was most entertaining to watch. Despite recent injury and contrary to his slight form, Nasir showed promising skill. He was fierce and determined, eager to learn - and to impress his lover, Auctus noted with a wry smirk.

His opponent came with obvious experience, a warrior weathered by numerous battles. Yet, as all the men that had hailed from the ship, he fought with more vigor than finesse. If both stood just slightly more prudent they could well profit from each other.

What made you ship it?

Honestly, I don't even remember how it started. As it goes with crack ships it was just a spur of the moment funny idea and then it just made so much sense and now they live in my head rent free (and fuck a lot)

What are your favorite things about the ship?

This ship is purely a headcanon thing, they never even appeared in the same season, which allows for a lot of creative freedom. I feel like they'd compliment each other very well because they're both a little rough around the edges, but have a sense of humor and a caring, loyal side. I think they'd genuinely make each other laugh and they wouldn't take themselves or their relationship too serious, while they'd still be absolutely loyal to one another.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Is there a popular opinion on this ship? Does anyone actually ship it?

My favorire headcanon is that they call each other asshole, but endearingly, does that count as unpopular?

End of your creative year in review

I was tagged to do this by @jencsi and @panchostokes and I've been putting this off for a while because I've been struggling with my creati vity quite a bit lately. But it wasn't all bad, so I'm finally doing this on the last day of 2021.

1) What is your favorite thing you created? Which work are you the proudest of?

Starting off with a tough one... The beginning of the year has been quite productive actually. As it goes when you dive into a new fandom and a new ship. I'm proud that I wrote a total of 27 fics, even if some of them were just short little drabbles. I can't really pick a favorite to be honest.

2) Is there anything else you are proud of that you achieved this year?

Well, I haven't caught covid, that's something...

3) Did you explore anything new this year? (A new way to be creative, a trope you didn’t write before or an idea you hadn’t thought of earlier, etc.)

I wrote my first AU, does that count? And I did explore heterosexuality (fictionally, lol)

4) Which work gave you the most difficulty? What was your biggest creative challenge this year?

I can't single out anything as "most difficult" but there's a reason that I have ten or more unfinished wips flying around. I'd say writing has been my biggest challenge, especially in the later half of the year.

5) Which work brought you the most joy?

Drawing has actually brought me a lot more joy than writing this year. Faster results and all that. Plus it gave me an excuse to look at my favorite faces for hours.

6) Which of your works do you think people should check out?

Depends on what they're into. If you want to make me happy support my rare pair stuff though.

7) Do you have creative plans for next year? Is there anything exciting you are currently working on?

I'm surrently working on a fic with a deadline, so there's that. I'm also still very invested in my Lugo x Auctus fic, but my actual plan is to stop putting pressure on myself until writing feels like a hobby again instead of a chore.

8) Lastly, any words of wisdom or anything else you would like to share?

Whatever you hear: Wine doesn't make you creative. It makes you sleepy. Also, don't take advise from others - find out what works best for you.
