From "Loyal and True": "If your chosen die’s value is less than your equal to your current Stress, your Knight becomes temporarily indisposed, and is unable to act for the remainder of the current scene; you may still participate in play if the circumstances of your indisposition permit, but may not roll dice." Did you mean "less than or equal"?
(With reference to this post here.)
You know, you're the first person in the three years since I posted that to notice that typo. It should be fixed now.

🌟 with Billy Kane!!
Aaaahhhhhh billy my friendo 🥺🥺🥺
Gonna do this with both Fatal Fury!Kiki and KOF!Kiki (but tbh i have something more solid with fatal fury kiki jdjskssnsk)
So Fatal Fury!Kiki and Billy have a sibling-like relationship. They were both taken in by Geese when they were young and were both trained to be his bodyguards. They're pretty close, and Billy would often talk about his sister Lilly with Kiki.
KOF!Kiki on the other hand talked to Billy only once or twice during a few KOF tournaments here and there. After she found out Billy and Iori were on a team together in the '95 tournament (and that Iori attacked Billy while under Orochi's influence), Kiki seeked him out to apologize for what happened on Iori’s behalf, but Billy was having none of it.

Something just got me thinking...
Suibian is a truly loyal sword, it refused to let anyone else use it and did what was only ever heard of in legends and sealed itself away when its master died!
The sword is monogamous. It only connected with one person and no one else would do. No one else could compare.
Spiritual weapons have a deep connection with their wielders, they are constantly permeated with their owner's spiritual energy. They are, in a way, an extension of their master.
So, it makes perfect sense that Suibian is monogamous. Because it's quite obvious that WWX is as well. WWX only ever had eyes for one person, he only ever connected to one other person in such a deep, life changing way. No one else would do, no one else could ever compare to that boy that stole his undivided attention on the Cloud Recesses rooftop the first night they met.
It was always LWJ for him, just as it was always WWX for Suibian.
Like master, like sword.

Honestly, it is so funny remembering that Annabeth Chase's literal, stated, canonical fatal flaw is hubris.
Rick Riordan was like, "This clever, neurodivergent preteen girl believes that she is smarter than the gods, and she will get the chance to prove herself right," and he was correct. 😌

There's sometimes a misconception that Feng Xin is totally subservient to Xie Lian or afraid to say no to XL but FX often scolds/nags XL and has on multiple occasions told him to do or not do something.
FX has his own convictions and mind of his own too. He trusts XL's judgment on major decisions, following XL's call for serious matters, but imo it's not subservience, but rather loyalty borne out of a firm belief and conviction in XL's moral compass. FX's loyalty is bc of FX's own righteous principles and own moral code too.
In bk 4 FX argued with XL and questioned XL's decisions, and was even openly angry at XL, like when XL almost killed a commoner just for disrespecting XL and called the commoner a derogatory term. FX was angry at XL and yelled at XL for that bc FX has his own strong moral code that includes not harming innocents or doing unscrupulous things. He's not just blindly loyal. He has his own convictions too.
And he's certainly not a people pleaser or someone who follows rules to the letter. It's considered rude and unbecoming for heavenly officials to be too vulgar in the heavenly court, yet FX cusses openly all the time without a care. Would a people pleaser who was scared of breaking the smallest rule do that? FX is simply not someone who is afraid of saying no.

Y'know if Yosano and Dazai are the mistakes made trauma kids then out of the three characters we know Mori has personally taken to mentoring/grooming, Chuuya's probably his success story.
Think abt it
Forced into the mafia at a young age
Put to work in the black market jewel trade instead of the guerilla forces to make him a more *multifaceted* criminal
Is monitered to make sure he doesn't try to defect (even if the flags were a positive support system, mori still used them for ulterior motives)
Like the entire deal about "get to executive status and THEN i'll allow you to know about your past and family." Bribery much, mori-sensei?
He thinks there's no place for him in the light and accepts the port mafia as his family (even though he's been noticeably isolated from any outside connections?)
Literally everytime he shows up out of his own will in the main manga is either on mori's order's or with mori on mind

I forgor if you've mentioned this, but does Vasco stay with machete up until the very end ?
or does he eventually get to a point where he can't, in good conscience, support him ?
Vasco is very torn of course, but he stays and does his best to salvage the situation. Machete tries to self-isolate, refuses help and begins to burn bridges when things start to look grim.
