Loved ones in spirit go above and beyond to connect with us! Usually, they choose to connect when relaxed, tired or alone, so that we really notice the signs and aren't distracted. As a psychic medium, you would probably think that I am always open, looking for signs. I am not. When I am not working with clients, I "power down" and protect myself. So, when my loved ones on the other side send me messages, they have to be pretty loud for me to hear them. My father passed many years ago, on Thanksgiving. The night he passed, when I returned home with my mother, we were in the kitchen talking. The next thing we knew, the radio on top of the refrigerator turned on, blasting opera. (My parents were both opera singers). We laughed for a moment and said Hi to my Dad, who had obviously learned very quickly that he could turn on radios from the other side. Now, the most important part of this visit is that the radio was still plugged in but, hadn't worked in over a decade... and the dial was tuned to a rock station, not tuned to the classical station. "Grief is love not wanting to let go." — Earl A. Grollman We have all experienced loss. It impacts each of us differently. There is no rulebook about grieveing. No perfect way, no expectations. You must allow yourself to go through the process of healing. Honor this process and be patient with yourself. My experience with loved ones passing away is not some amazing, wonderful experience because I am spiritual and talk to spirits. I'm still human and experience deep emotions and grieving after someone leaves. The interesting thing is that sometimes, someone passes who might not have been very close to us but, we react more than we think we should. Give yourself permission to feel what you are feeling, don't judge your reaction. My parents both passed unexpectedly so, I usually have larger reactions to unexpected passings. This is my biggest trigger. I am sharing this with you to help you and also, because I had a client who was proccessing the unexpected loss of a parent years ago and had a session with me to work through the emotions. Also, to have a conversation with the parent who had passed. During the session, I realized that even though I have done a lot of work on my healing after my parents passing, there is always more work to be done. Be gentle with yourself, allow your feelings to be felt, seen and expressed. Don't judge yourself or the process! Have you lost anyone recently? I always say that signs are everywhere from our loved ones in spirit. Today, a message came through loud and clear from my parents. I ordered some perfume for myself for my birthday from a great store I found in Chicago @intense_oud along with my perfume was a beautiful handwritten thank you note and a gift for me.... a bracelet. Not just any bracelet but, one that says "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine" which my parents used to sing to me as a little girl. I'm a psychic medium but, also a human and some days I need a message more than others, today was one of those days. Full disclosure, I have anxiety and sometimes even though I know all the things to do to control it, I forget and have a rocky day. So, when I opened the package, I was excited to get my beautiful, imported perfume from the UAE and then the bonus message from my parents brought such a sense of comfort, it was beautiful. Are you missing your loved ones in spirit? Today's card of the day reminds us that our ancestors are always with us, we carry them in our hearts. We also, have memories of them, photos, lessons they taught us, favorite recipes, etc. Instead of getting caught up in a feeling of missing them, flip the script, celebrate them! Share a silly story. I believe we always have spirit guides and loved ones watching over us. We are never alone. In this case, the angel over my shoulder was drawn by my mother in 1952. Mom drew this angel for her best friend. When that lady passed on, her son gave it back to my mother. It was a beautiful gesture to return the drawing to the artist. In 2013, when my mom passed, I became the happy owner of this angel! I believe she bears a striking resemblance to my mother.
