Send a 🌟 + name and I’ll talk about my self-insert’s bond to that character! - I'll do this in relative order of closeness, if that's alright~

So, first of all, we have Hapi, who.. Catarina does definitely have a very close bond with, by virtue of Hapi being one of my romantic F/Os. The two share a lot of opinions on things, though I would say that Catarina is not quite as apathetic as Hapi tends to be - even so, the two enjoy each other's company greatly, as both of them feel that they can just be themselves and not have to worry about things when the other is around. I think it would take some time for Hapi to trust her with knowledge of her sigh, but when she does, the fact that Catarina responds with wanting to find ways to adapt to it (e.g. taming the monsters), instead of just ways of mitigating it (e.g. killing the monsters), stands out a lot to Hapi and is a strong catalyst for the pair really becoming closer.

Next, I think I would say Catarina gets on best with Yuri, because the two have a number of comparable personality traits - in fact, even their Crests have the same effect in-game, in that they prevent enemies from counterattacking. I'm also thinking of tying part of her backstory to his, in that both of them ended up in Abyss for the same reason/as part of the same incident (since Yuri was also in the Blue Lions house, which is where Catarina would also have been placed initially - and his retailation at what his group were asked to do would most likely have been something she supported him on). So, all these similarities are what lead the two to have a strong bond of friendship.

Following this is Balthus, who is not generally the sort of person Catarina enjoys the company of very much, given his more rowdy personality. However, they actually have a closer bond than might be expected, because Balthus first attended the Officers' Academy in the same year as her older half-brother, Tobias. The two of them (plus Holst) had a fierce friendship, even despite Holst and Balthus being Golden Deer whereas Tobias was a Blue Lion, so Balthus knows a bit more about Catarina's younger self than the others as a result - and sometimes struggles to see her as any older than she was when he went to school with her brother, which leads him to both be caring towards her and also sometimes be unintentionally belittling.

Finally, we have Constance! I wouldn't say that Catarina and Constance dislike each other by any means, it's just that she gets on least well with her compared to the other three. Constance has a habit of turning everything into a competition, particularly when it comes to unconventional magics, whereas Catarina does not enjoy being competitive whatsoever. So, this can leave her rather exasperated at her. Even so, there can definitely be moments where the two are able to bounce off of each other very effectively and get on brilliantly - it's just generally a case of whether Catarina's bluntness clashes with or act as a fun foil to Constance's theatrics.

I do find it very amusing that two of my more cold and stoic self-inserts - who are actually pretty similar in some ways, being nobles in a somewhat unfamiliar situation compared to the nobles around them for example - are for two of the F/Os who manage to make me most flustered simply by existing (or saying certain lines, more specifically)

Okay, I'm gonna need your headcanons on Cornelia and what she thinks of the rest of TWSITD (as well as FE4 Hilda)

Okie I'ma be real with you and admit that the stuff I know about Hilda is only based off her lines in FEH and things my FE4-loving fren told me about.

Cleobulus on the other hand I got plenty to say, so here goes:

Most important one outta the way first: Cleobulus is a woman. Whether you wanna HC her as a trans woman on top of that is up to ya'll.

She dislikes Thales. Like, a lot. She views him as a total relic of the past, believing that HER way forward will lead to a stronger future for Agartha.

Odesse is Cleobulus' right-hand man and experiment buddy, essenitally he's version of Myson. Her and Odesse' experiments on Hapi eventually led to him gaining that ability to summon monsters that we see in the Lysithea, Hapi and Edie paralogue and the last map of Verdeant Winds.

One of her previous experiments was unleashing the plague in the Kingdom that Cornelia helped to cure. Cleobulus didn't take kindly to that as one can imagine.

Speaking of Cornelia, Cleo really hates her. To the point of pettiness (ever wondered why Cleo doesn't ditch the disguise in either game? Spite's a hell of a thing).

Ability-wise I envision her as a Trickster, combining Dark Magic and Swordplay. (Maaaybe she steals Thales' sword "Ridill"? :3)

Cleobulus has a soft spot for Kronya and enjoys doting on her.

She is mostly indifferent to Solon, but probably doesn't like him that much cuz of his loyalty to Thales. Likewise she views Myson as nothing more than Thales' lapdog.

Oshiete Kudasai Fujishima-san - this is GOOD. Consent is great, the male lead is hot, the sex is actually really good and not the same scene repeated 50 times! But... the female lead... this one comment sums it up:

2. Hapi Mari - This one is really nice! I like the character dynamics, it is not super explicit but the characters are sketched out pretty well. Slightly dumber female lead, but its not as bad as the previous one!

3. Osananajimi Bartender to Hajimeru Kaikan Lesson - short I think, the art style is not to my liking. But the characters are so nice, and the side characters are sweet! And they have this 'cocktail language' that is very cutely used hehe, good read! And CONSENT!!!

4. Tada no Renai nanka de Kikkonai: Kojirase Joushi to Fetish na Buka (We Can't Do Just Plain Love: She's Got a Fetish, Her Boss Has Low Self-Esteem) - The title is pretty funny lmaoooo and I love this manga the most of them all!! This female lead is TO DIE FOR. The concept of this manga is really fun, so this is honestly such a hidden gem. I highly recommend this.

5. Talk To Me - this is actually a manhwa, so the art style takes some time to get used to. Also a little slow, not much happens each chapter, but its a very cute light-hearted read, smexy smexy though! The 2 couples are written very well, so I am currently enjoying this quite a bit ehehe

As for anime, my recommendation of Kaichou Wa Maid Sama still stands!! It's a good anime, and the manga left me in tears <3 Other than that, here are some of my favs that fit your taste (none of these are erotica like the mangas, but they're still very funny):

DLC Ch 2

Playing Ch 2 of the DLC now. I want to finish this before Three Hopes drops. Also, weird formatting again for the same reasons as the first chapter.

STORY

Hapi or Balthus is my favorite so far, they're both funny. I'm still deciding if Constance is annoying or not and if I buy into Yuri's character or not yet. I can't help but remember how I felt about Dimitri at the start vs now though, lamo.

It's funny how Edelgard is saying almost nothing. I wonder if she's like - oh, god, what if it's TWSITD or Jeritza or Hubert?

God, Dimitri and Ashe are both like - someone in danger!!! must protect!!! Precious, both of them.

Byleth can say "we have no choice." It's really amusing to me how many "I don't wanna!!!!!s Byleth is getting. I'm picking them all.

So there's something up with Hapi's sighs? Oh - that's why the monster showed up. What a random power. I must sigh like every 10 minutes when I'm at work. That would SUCK.

Side note, it's so funny when there's a group of people standing around in this game and they just . . . don't really move.

GAMEPLAY

They really just love pulling out the Death Knight, don't they? I wonder if these people are working with TWSITD then? Or does he just join any rando group of baddies that let him kill stuff.

Didn't manage to engage the Death Knight. He just sort of stayed on the second level, and I couldn't really get to him. Next time.

Name: August

Class: Valkyrie

August had short black hair with a long fringe which fell into her eyes. Her skin was a light brown and her eyes a sharp green. She had a slight snaggletooth and a generous helping of freckles. She was short and a little chubby, which filled out her cheeks enough to make her look younger than she was. She was fiendishly clever but a little bit clumsy and forgetful. She took to horse riding and magic immediately, excitedly practising all hours of the day. She is extremely close with Hapi’s child Seraphim, they’d often steal sweets from the Abyss tavern together and play with the stray cats and dogs.

August was two years old when Yuri found her. She had been abandoned at the side of the abyss and was screaming for so long her throat was raw. Yuri had no idea how to raise a child at this point, but he still pulled her into his arms, dried her tears, got her some clean clothes and warm food. He didn’t realise at the time that two years later she’d be calling him Papa and he’d be referring to her as his daughter. Thankfully he wasn’t alone, the rest of the Ashen Wolves helped since they had children of their own by then and so did the elders of the Abyss. No one ever knew where August came from, and she doesn’t remember. Even her name was chosen by Yuri since she didn’t know her own or could even speak much. Yuri’s theory was that she was the abandoned illegitimate child of an Almyran noble - maybe with a sex worker from Fodlan.

She likes animals, reading, climbing, sweets, and staying up far too late. Being on her own makes her extremely anxious and she has a phobia of the dark. She hates it when Yuri sings because she can tell it makes him sad.

Hapi (using headcanon that Hapi is a trans fem who uses it/itself pronouns)

Name: Seraphim

Class: Dark Flier

Seraphim had short pink hair, similar to a messy pixie cut, and brown eyes. Their skin tone was a little darker than Hapi’s, and they were a good few inches taller. They were less muscular and much preferred more masculine clothing. They had a crooked nose from when they fell on their face as a child running away from the baker with August from who they had just stole a lot of sweets. They also had lost some of their hearing in the right ear due to an incident from some particularly brutal members of the Church.

No one was entirely sure who Seraphim’s other parent was. Hapi was fairly open about the fact it was impossible for it to get pregnant, and open about why. It referred to itself as Seraphim’s Life Giver, and Seraphim even referred to it as LG quite often. Of course sometimes people insisted on using mother or parent, the latter was significantly more preferable. When people asked about who Seraphim’s other parent was, they had a series of jokes lined up. For example: “well one day LG sighed and a particularly handsome monster showed up”. Seraphim and Hapi were both very close, they both dedicated themselves to looking after the Abyss, especially the more vulnerable folks and the stray cats and dogs.

Seraphim likes scary stories, ghosts, magic, sweets, animals, playing pranks, and taking care of their loved ones. They dislike being away from Hapi and/or August, tea, spicy food, being away from the Abyss, and the Church.

Balthus

Name: Layla

Class: Trickster

Layla is an optimistic, happy, young woman with a bright smile and a sharp tongue. She has tight black curls and brown eyes with light brown skin. She has a gap between her teeth and is blind in one eye due to an illness as a child. She’s small and thin, making the work she takes as a thief and assassin significantly easier. Yuri tries to take care of all the Wolf Packs kids, so looks after her and her mother and keeps Layla in work. She and her mother have a nice house on the edge of Faerghus, they have two dogs and a small farm.

Layla and her father have a difficult relationship, it’s strained and Balthus was far more absent than he would have liked. Having a daughter can be quite difficult when mercenaries are hunting you down. As a result Balthus tries to keep moving and not stay in the same place as her. He visits as often as he can and sends as much money as he can to her mother, he’s the first to admit he’s not the greatest dad but he tries his best.

She likes sparring, spicy food, playing sports, running, and dogs. She dislikes hunting, fishing, tea, and has a phobia of large pools of water.

Constance

Name: Armand

Class: War Monk

One look at Armand and you could tell he had nobility running in his veins. He was tall, broad shouldered, had a prominent nose, blonde curly hair, and a crooked smile. His eyes were bright blue and he had a birthmark on his Adam’s apple. The only thing that gave him away were the scars on his arms from his mother’s experiments. He fit in with the other nobles perfectly, he could speak and act like one. But he never really fit and he knew it. He felt as if everyone knew looking at him that his father wasn’t nobility, and that whilst his mother had been granted back their house by Emperor Edelgard, she still wasn’t regarded with the respect she should have been. Armand knew how to charm the right people, but he could never relax in their presence. He was most at home with his friend Layla and running around with one of the gangs Yuri controlled.

Constance tried to push him into the life she felt he deserved and he would be happiest in. She had him attend the right parties, gave him horse riding, dancing, and etiquette lessons. He was good at all of it, but he only did it to please his mother. He was happiest with his friends, sparring, gambling, playing games, and everything he felt normal people did. He never quite did well with the types of magic Constance preferred, and he found combat magic quite frightening given what she’d done to him through out his life. However, he did like using magic to heal… almost as much as he liked using his fists.

He likes gambling, board games, sports, sparring, history, and star gazing. He dislikes being watched, being touched by people he doesn’t know, and he has a phobia of thunder and lightening.

i don’t know if this dialogue here would’ve been different had you not already done hapi & hubert’s a-support, but, i love that this is just an established thing between them now

that hubert will go out of his way to make sure the sudden appearance of monsters in camp isn’t blamed on hapi, even when it’s technically their fault. it’s sweet! he wasn’t asked to do that, he does because he cares about them and wants to do something to help regarding their curse. and with him it feels a lot more honest than say, linhardt’s c-support with hapi in three houses, where he’s pretty blatant about being kind to a frustrated hapi solely so they don’t have to fight a monster from their sighs

not to mention, things are different in hopes. there’s no professor byleth and therefore no cindered shadows or ashen wolves recruited into whichever house is chosen by the player. as a result, people around the camp don’t really know about hapi. while they do confirm that yeah there’s still some level of rumour floating around regarding their ability to summon monsters, lysithea mentions as such just a few dialogue boxes earlier, it’s likely nowhere near the level it was in houses at the monastery (take hapi’s b-support with byleth, where they admit it’s something that genuinely gets to them, and further still in their a-support with ashe)

so even though they’re still having to fight in a war, it’s at least in a much better atmosphere than it was in three houses. here they aren’t as scrutinised for their curse and how it endangers others because most people just don’t know

Also what got you to ship Hapi X Dimi , is it the shared past trauma with cornelia/cleobulus and knowing Anselma/Patricia ?

Answered the D/M stuff here since it was long!

With Dimitri and Hapi, it's more their personalities, but the shared trauma could definitely help bring them together.

Hapi is very relaxed and casual, and Dimitri often brings up that he prefers being treated that way and not like anything special. I feel like they'd be able to talk each other very easily with no worry about titles or any of that. Dimitri also does not care that Hapi is considered "dangerous" because of her curse and talks to her without worry. Their conversations are more two-sided as well, because Hapi is often so concerned about her curse in other supports that she worries about being near other people. Granted, I think Dimitri is also strong enough to deal with monsters if that ever did that happen (he thinks he is too lol, he's a cutie!), which I think would be/is reassuring for Hapi as well.

There's also the fact that Dimitri is very open to emotion, which Hapi doesn't express much of. I think it would be nice for her to have someone who wouldn't dissuade her from expressing her feelings.

I also think it's really nice that their past ties up into a nice bow. It's not just their past with his step mother, but their general backstories involving TWS as a whole. Dimitri has much deeper ties to TWS than most of the characters because of the whole Duscur story. Being able to defeat them, which in Hapi's ending with him she does, and he also has an active desire to help her get rid of her curse. I think it's nice that at least in one ending Dimitri gets some closure regarding Duscur, because normally in AM he doesn't really get full closure like he does in Hopes.

It's kind of a combination of like... their personalities matched with their ending and that at least what the story itself couldn't get to, at least one ending did fulfill. They seem pretty earnest around each other too, and Hapi doesn't really have that generally. I do think having someone around with similar knowledge to her is very helpful for her (and helpful for him too), because they have a very supportive friendship but I think they can also really help each other because of their respective histories. They can learn more and get more done with each other because they have that connection. Dimitri's lack of fear regarding her condition is also very important imo, because it's biggest insecurity she has and he's not bothered in the least.

Imo they just make a really good pair and I love the strong drive they both have against the same enemies and how that's part of what helped bring them together. In a way they fought for their ending together, and I feel like they could take care of each other emotionally very well. Other than Byleth, Hapi is also my other favorite canon potential ending for Dimitri.

Mmm.. Yeah, I'd say there were lots of things! One is the way that she talks about stuff. Cat's not the kind of girl who just pretends to put up with stuff when she hates it - she'll just say it to you straight that she's not happy with it, and bring up why, too. It's just refreshing, you know? She's not a people-pleaser, but she's also not just mean for the sake of it or anything. And because she's so blunt about the things she doesn't like, you can be a lot more sure of what she does like. ..Like me. Which is nice.

Other than that, uh - well, the clue's in the nickname, honestly. Kitty-Cat's way more tactile than she looks to most people, especially when she's tired, soooo we tend to kinda crash out with each other after battles or training. It's a good reminder that we're back somewhere safe. We put some beanbags and blankets and cushions and stuff in our old classroom, just for when we're all hanging out together down in Abyss, and you'd be surprised how much the two of us get to just chill out and be cosy together, either there or back in our room. It's so nice! And it's comfy in both senses of the word. Also, Cat's the only person I know who can still look intimidating while curled up in a ball and looking up at you from the middle of a beanbag. Y'know, just like cats do sometimes? Coco doesn't count, she never sits in them. Yuribird just lounges on top of them like a chair. And B's never intimidating.

But, I guess the biggest thing is.. again, it goes back to her logic. You know about my sigh, of course, but.. As soon as I let slip to Kitty-Cat about it, she immediately started thinking about whether there was any way to tame the monsters I could summon. Most of the time, people just insist they'd be happy to help take stuff down, if I made it appear. Which is fine! This is a render I made.. sometime near the start of summer, I think! It’s essentially a screenshot redraw (albeit it’s a render, not a drawing), replicating a scene from the Cindered Shadows story with my self-insert, Catarina, in place of the character who’s normally doing this betrayal bit. I spent a while working on this and trying to get it as close to the in-game cutscene art as I could, and I like to think it turned out looking pretty good in the end!! ^-^

On the other hand, she does not enjoy people bullying her because she is no typical girl, and feels like she also needs to prove herself in some way to make people accept her, even when often claiming she would not care about such things

Memories of their real life : of course her growing up before the Luca movie, and then everything that happened during the movie until the end credits, aka the race in her town she wants to win, meeting Luca and Alberto and finding out about the whole sea monsters topic....

What was their fake life like : 

Giulia was raised as the youngest child of the family with 3 older siblings - all boys. So, of course, her mother was hapy to finally have a girl. And dreamed of pretty pink clothes and braids and pigtails with ribbons…..

It did work for a while, however, when Giulia was around six years old, she would prefer to play soccer with her brothers in the garden or ride around on her bike instead of drawing cute pictures of flowers and butterflies and her braids would end up being a mess thanks to rolling around on the grass.

In her teenage years, her mother got worried Giulia would not find a man to marry him with a behavior like this, so she hired a private teacher for the girl. However, also this dod not really work out. Even more when G outright told her mother she was not interested in getting married.

G was still having male friends, though. In fact, it was easier for her to befriend guys, and she often hang out with the gang of her brothers who would often make fun of the girls in school.

Though, despite this all, G loves her mother. It is just that the woman was raised in old-fashioned ways, and Giulia had decided to break out of those. Like her goal now is to go to university to study instead of just finding a man she could marry….

Medium length post abt why I like Azure Moon - prompted by Just Hit The Timeskip For The 7th Time Syndrome - below the cut lol

To preface this, I might be forgetting important things abt the route bc I haven't played it all the way through since shortly after the game came out (it was my 2nd route)

But ANYWAY so I just got to the timeskip again and it reminded me just how different AM is from the rest of the game. Obviously, every route is different, but AM is an entirely unique and deeply character-driven story. I'm not going to even try to say it's better or worse than the others, because it's just so different. (I would rank the other three in relation to each other, but I would get yelled at if I said VW is my least favorite, so I won't be saying that in public. I will keep my opinion about VW being my least favorite route to myself.)

Every student in the game has a background story, obviously, but the BLs are packed with connections to specific events in the main storyline. Ashe and the Western Church. Sylvain and Conrad Tower. Annette, Ingrid, Felix, Dimitri and the deaths of their loved ones in the Tragedy of Duscur. Dedue and the genocide. Mercedes and the uhhhh crest system? A deep devotion to the church bc they gave her and her mother shelter when they fled the empire?? At a loss on this one, lmk if I'm missing something. Hell, even Hapi has her connection to Cornelia and Patricia.

Playing all the other routes, they all tell good stories and I love them, but this tells a different story entirely.

AM is missing TWSITD, but of course it is! TWSITD isn't the story; the story is revenge and compassion. This Edelgard is different, too - this version turns herself into a monster rather than face defeat. In this story, TWSITD is an ally to the empire and nothing more, and the route doesn't suffer for it. Hubert doesn't leave any messages ensuring they are destroyed because they aren't the same threat in this story. It's not *ignoring* the Real Big Bad, it simply doesn't matter - not because it doesn't exist in Fodlan, but because this is Dimitri’s story. In this story, Cornelia gives him hints about who was really responsible for the Tragedy, but he's not seeking revenge anymore, he's seeking the liberation of Fodlan.

I love it for that. Some of the themes are present in other routes as well, and again, it's not better or worse, it's just so different

So anyway. Sorry for yet another long post abt this game, it will happen again (in like two minutes bc I'm about to Post Thoughts on silver snow lol)

It was a fine day in the Dreemur Household. Asgore was tending his garden, Frisk was playing in the backyard with the other monster children, and Toriel was writing up a new lesson plan for the next weeks classes at her school. 

The MonSchool.

She really shouldn’t have let Asgore name it.

The door opened and shut. Toriel beamed, thinking Asgore had come back in. “Oh, dear, you’re just in time. The latest pie has just finished!” She got up and retrieved the pie from where it had been cooling.

“Now, you can have one piece now, but we must- AAAHHHH!” she cried. The pie fell from her hands and crashed against the floor as she saw WHO had entered the house.

Chara stood there, their face carefully neutral. “Hi mom.”

Toriel couldn’t speak. She couldn’t even think. She couldn’t comprehend that Chara, one of the children she had lost was standing there before her.

The door flew open again. “Tori!?” cried Asgore. “Is something wrong?! I heard a scream! What is-” Asgore skidded to a halt as he saw Chara standing there.

“Hi dad,” said Chara stiffly, standing between the two monsters who had loved them when no others would.

“C-Chara?” said Toriel, tears beginning to prick at her eyes.

Chara nodded. “Yeah. It’s me.”

Toriel loosed a strangled cry as she surged forward and wrapped Chara in a hug. Chara stiffened like a board in her arms but she didn’t care. Her child was here. They were HERE. Somehow, someway, they were here, in her arms right now. She was vaguely aware of Asgore sagging to his knees, but she was only aware of the child in her arms.

“Mom... I can’t stay.”

The words broke the illusion, and Toriel pulled back, confused. “Wha- what do you mean sweetie? You’re here!? You’re home. You-”

“No I’m not,” said Chara, refusing to meet her eyes. “I’m... this isn’t my home. Not anymore.”

Ther words were like a dagger to her heart and Toriel shook her head. “What on Earth are you talking about Chara? We are your family!”

“No! You’re not. Not anymore,” said Chara, finally meeting her eyes, and she nearly recoiled. Their eyes had always been strange, but something about them had changed. There was... a fire in them now. A blazing terrible light that shook her to her core. “Because I’m not Chara. At least not the Chara you knew.”

Asgore pushed himself up. “What are you talking about Chara? You- you’re here! You’re you! How can-”

“I’m not human anymore!” bit out Chara, wrapping their arms around themself and walking a few paces away. “I’m not even a monster. I’m... I’m a demon. A devil.”

Toriel shook her head. “N-no. No! You’re our-”

“I killed you,” they snapped out, stopping the Dreemurs up short. “I killed everyone. Over and over again in timeline after timeline until I got bored and manipulated others into doing it for me. Then... Then Frisk came. At first I manipulated them too, but then they overpowered me and set everyone free. I guess their DETERMINATION was stronger than mine. And they left me alone, imprisoned in the mountain. Until... until my new family found me.”

Toriel rubbed her head trying to process the information. She was aware from little hints dropped by Sans and Frisk that their emancipation from the Mountain had been more... strenuous than what she had originally been lead to believe, but this... this was a whole ‘nother nightmare.

Chara continued mercilessly. “I’m... I’m here to say goodbye. Once and for all. I’m leaving for good and staying that way. Dad promised to leave this world alone, but it means I’ll never see you again. And I wanted to set the record straight.”

They turned to the Dreemurs. “I... I don’t know if I still love you. I really don’t. I know the human Chara did, but I’m not them. I’m the Fallen Angel who Made the Underground Empty with my Knife and my LOVE. But the human Chara loved you with all their heart. And for that I’m leaving you for good. I’m saying goodbye and keeping you safe. I’m sorry I’m not what you wanted, but this is for the best.”

With that Chara tore themselves away and stormed towards the door.

“Chara!” cried Toriel after them. Chara froze and slowly turned to see Asgore and Toriel holding each other, staring after Chara, heartbroken. “Are... Are you happy? Wherever you’re going?”

Chara paused, their hand on the doorknob. And they thought of Ganondorf, their adopted father and his mighty bellowing laugh. He thought of Joker, always dragging them into some new shenanigan. He thought of Captain Falcon. And Hapi. And the rest of his father’s weird love shape relationship.

Slowly, Chara nodded. “Yeah. I am.”

“That’s- that’s enough for us,” said Toriel, her eyes heavy with tears.

“And even if... this version of you doesn’t, we love you Chara. Remember that, please,” said Asgore thickly.

Chara, their throat thick with some emotion they didn’t want to name, nodded and flew out the door, not trusting themselves to stay longer.

Ganondorf waited at the top of the mountain, at the entrance to the Underground. He stood as he saw Chara approach.

“All go well?” asked the Demon King.

Chara shrugged. “’Bout as well as it could have.”

Ganondorf nodded. “You did well. They will be safe.”

Chara nodded. “Yup,” there was a long silence before Chara shook their head and stormed towards the portal. “Let’s go. Before Frisk and the smiley trashbag get wind of us.”

“Chara,” said Ganondorf firmly but gently. Chara stopped. “I am here, if you need me. And I’m sure your siblings would be willing to help as well.”

Chara smiled. “Thanks... dad.”

With that they left through the portal, never to set foot in that realm again.

I like Yuri and "Balthie" is ok, though I feel like the girls were badly written and rushed. Hapi has a wonderful design and could've had a really good story, but it's ruined by the weird sneezing thing. Poor Constance was pretty executed poorly. She seems to have some PTSD that gets triggered by sunlight but it's not pulled off well at all. I like Three Houses but it deals with character trauma so badly. Dimitri seems to be the only one that gets it close.

I do agree that Hapi and Constance could have been characterized a bit better.

For Hapi, it would have been nice to learn more about her 'curse' as well as her home village a bit more. The curse explained the most in her support with Dimitri, which is route locked of course. I wanna know more about why she left her village, what her village was like, what the deal was with her imprisonment, all that sort of stuff. I know it's mentioned in small details here and there in supports but I love Hapi and I wanna know more.

I think the sighing thing is kind of interesting, but it would have been even cooler if we got to use it in battle! Like being able to summon a monster, even if it was hostile to the player and the existing enemy, would have been so fun.

Constance has a really interesting background and I agree that her 'condition' could have been handled better. I feel like it was done more for comedic purposes than to show her reaction to trauma. I do like her quirky magic and all that, and I feel like her background was fleshed out a bit better but yeah, could have been a bit stronger.

AND, one flaw that was given to ALL the wolves is that they barely have any supports. It would have been awesome if they had the same amount of supports as the non-dlc characters.

I returned to Fire Emblem: Three Houses, only to realize I still had yet to complete the DLC side story. I'm only a couple of hours in but I have some totally very professional and completely 100% valid thoughts:

I wanna know where Yuri's getting his eyeshadow. It's a really nice color.

Constance seems to have a highly fantasized variant of bipolar disorder. I was not expecting that, but I like the way it makes her character stand out. Her dynamic with the others is really great as well, and I love that they just roll with her mood swings.

Balthus is now Hilda's self-appointed big brother. I approve of this arrangement.

Hapi is my favorite. I want to have tea with her. I don't know what's going on with her and summoning monsters, but she's chill, and I love her.

Oh Byleth's mom is named Sitri....Why exactly didn't they mention this in the base game...? That seems like an odd thing to reserve for the DLC.

Well, weird storytelling choices aside, I am happy to get a little more info on Byleth's origins, even if it's just expanding on what we already know.

So I was told that my resources during the side story would be severely limited, but so far I haven't really run into any major issues with keeping everyone geared up. Having the abilities and combat arts locked from the beginning provides for an interesting challenge, though.

The downside of this is that I'm not getting the same sense of accomplishment and reward from completing the missions. Since my units cannot level up their skills or learn new abilities, the payoff for successful battles feels much smaller than it is in the base game. I think I only noticed this because I'm a very reward-motivated person, though. Probably won't affect most people.

The Abyss is very cool. It reminds me a little bit of Rogueport Underground from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and that makes me happy. Yes, I'm aware that correlation hardly makes any sense, but it is there in my brain nonetheless.

Oh so this is where they were keeping all those missing classes! Geez, I can't count the number of times during base game that I thought "I think this character would work well as a Dark Flier," only to find out that class wasn't even listed in the exams.

Trickster Class is a little OP in this game, but I love it.

Anyways, enjoying it so far. I don't think I like it as much as the base game, but it's a fun way to shake things up.

Ainz, to his Floor Guardians, is a merciful and fair being, striking any who oppose Nazarick down, always seeing the bigger goal ahead, and is perfect in every way. Ainz is cold and calculating, and extremely pragmatic.

To everyone in the Monastery, it’s very clear he has no idea what he’s doing, but no one says anything due to not wanting to be murdered by his group.

When not around his group, they tend to see the real Ainz, which is just a regular person, skeletal appearance aside. He is respectful, but is absolutely brutal to any enemies of his fellow students and his own House. 

Ainz sees Fodlan as a bizarre world, not at all similar to Yggdrasil, the DMMO-RPG he played almost religiously before being teleported to a new world. While he doesn’t particularly care about the politics in it, he at least cares somewhat for his classmates.

Albedo

Closest Friends: Dorothea, Hilda, Manuela, Petra, Hubert

The first thing that everyone noticed about Albedo was that she was absolutely beautiful. The next thing was that she was a succubus. The fact a literal monster was at Garreg Mach was unnerving, but she seems to get along mostly with everyone. She is seems to be polite, but is terrifyingly in love with Ainz, and would definitely kill every one of them if he ordered it.

Sylvain and Lorenz have been the only ones to make her genuinely mad, and extremely close to murdering them. 

Despite her disdain for humans, she doesn’t seem to dislike most of the humans at Garreg Mach and in her own House. Mostly due to the interactions from the last classroom environment, and finds House Isekai with the most tolerable to likable humans.

Shalltear

Closest Friends: Edelgard, Hubert, Mercedes, Linhardt

Being an undead vampire makes mostly everyone stay away from her, but she doesn’t appear to be malicious. At least at first.

Those who spent any amount of time knows that she is sadistic, just as kinky as Darkness, and absolutely terrifying. She has a distaste for humans like most of Nazarick, but seems to keep it under control at Garreg Mach, going so far as to like a few people here.

Demiurge

Closest Friends: Edelgard, Hubert, Shamir, Claude

Whenever Demiurge enters the room, everyone gets a cold chill running down their spine. He is even more cold-blooded than Ainz, and calculates things down to a brutal efficiency. Everyone is convinced he has a plan to kill the entire Monastery. Which he does.

He is one of the most loyal to Ainz, right behind Albedo. The church keeps a close eye on him, and he returns the surveillance in kind with his magic.

While he prepares and plots against his classmates, he doesn't harm them and gets along fine with them, especially Hubert. He enjoys working in this new environment, and seeing those in awe of his great ruler, Ainz Ooal Gown.

Cocytus

Closest Friends: Felix, Ingrid, Ashe, Caspar, Leonie, Catherine, Jeritza, Dimitri

Everyone pulled their weapons on Cocytus when they first saw what he was. After a bit of time, people are still not used to him, but his classmates see him as one of the few nice people from Ainz’s group.

He is a warrior through and through, and has an honor system that would humble anyone, especially those training to be knights.

Cocytus specifically likes training the students, seeing such young warrior spirits waiting to unlock their full potential. He genuinely likes a lot of the students at the Monastery, along the Knights of Seiros.

Pandora’s Actor

Closest Friends: Flayn, Annette, Marianne, Yuri, Dimitri, Ashe, Ingrid

Even though Nazarick’s group has literal demons and monsters walking about, everyone finds Pandora’s Actor the weirdest of the bunch.

He is a shapeshifter, but that is not what makes him notorious. He is extremely flamboyant in his speech, actions and even poses. Despite his flashiness, he is generally a nice enough person, albeit annoying sometimes. Ainz does everything in his power to avoid him, and to prevent him from embarrassing the group further.

Ainz’s attempts do not work.

A exaggerant and jolly figure who wishes to do all to help his creator, Ainz. Be it from getting his attention to even fighting him if he has to. He's prone to be rather embarrassing to Ainz yet Pandora’s Actor does not care.

Sebas

Perhaps the most normal and kind one of the group, he is fairly popular around the Monastery. While not human himself, he does not hold contempt for them, in fact its the opposite. Willing to help train the younger students to hone their skills and being an advising figure for all, he was voted to be an Instructor for House Isekai. He is a brutal fighter, able to punch people’s heads clean off, making him loved and feared. 

Sebas likes the enthusiastic natures of the Youths of Garreg Mach, and is more than happy to spend time with them, making sure the rules are being kept and helping those in need. Sebas is the first person of Nazarick that people go to for advice, followed by Cocytus.

Despite his overall friendly and respectful manner, his absolute loyalty is with Ainz, not anyone else.

Aura and Mare (Respectively)

Aura is a very cheerful, tomboyish girl who is often straightforward and blunt with her remarks. Mare has a shy and cowardly personality, the kind which is a polar opposite to his sister, Aura. He often stutters when speaking and maintains a subservient demeanor during conversations. Despite their appearances, they are able to carry out the most cold-blooded orders without question or hesitation for Ainz, as their loyalty is unwavering towards him.

Even though they are very old (Around seventy in age), they often get lumped in with the younger students of the Academy, and their childlike-demeanor does not help make them seem like their age. They are completely neutral towards humans, and get along with the students relatively well.

The Monastery also notes Aura and Shaltear not getting along, though students with siblings point out that it’s more of a familial way of acting, as if they were actually sisters.

The Pleiades Six Sisters, left to right

Yuri Alpha,  Lupusregina Beta, Entoma Vasilissa Zeta, CZ2I28 Delta, Narberal Gamma, Solution Epsilon

They generally do not interact with the students of the Monastery, due to a majority of them hating humans, but can get along if ordered to.

Though due to a majority of them having to interact with humans in their own world and with Kazuma’s group, the Pleiades have grown slightly more tolerant of them.

Those of House Isekai are the only humans they get along with right off the bat, since some of them have been with Ainz before.

Universal Supports: Byleth, House Isekai

Yuri

Closest Friends - Byleth, Ashe, Ingrid, Lysithea, Leonie, Seteth, Edelgard

A dullahan (Undead who can remove their head) and leader of the Battle Maids, she is one of the two sisters that humans can “safely” talk to. She is the one of the few among Nazarick who do not outright despise humans, and likes them. Her behavior is strict and is like that of a teacher, but acts more like a tomboy in private.

Lupusregina

Closest Friends - Claude, Yuri, Hapi, Dorothea, Hilda, Mercedes, Annette, Ignatz, Raphael, Ferdinand

A werewolf and the most cheerful one of her sisters. She has a very bright and outgoing personality, but is able to act accordingly like a perfect lady. She is sociable and friendly towards humans. However she is brutal and cunning, and has an extremely sadistic nature, making her one of the most dangerous to humans.

Entoma 

Closest Friends (Used VERY LOOSELY) - Flayn, Cyril, Lysithea, Annette

Entoma has the appearance of a young girl wearing traditional Japanese attire. Her eyes and mouth never move, but that is due to her true form being an spider-human. In fact, she likes to eat humans, finding them delicious. 

Despite her literally eating them, she doesn’t particularly care for them much, if they don’t bother her, she doesn’t bother them. When she isn’t hungry, anyway. Though having to be at the Monastery, she instead eats any bandits or prisoners around Garreg Mach.

CZ2128

Closest Friends: Mercedes, Annette, Ashe, Hapi, Costance, Flayn, Dedue, Dimitri, Hilda

CZ2I28 is emotionless and usually silent, due to being an automaton. However, she likes cute things and likes to mark them with a one yen sticker. She normally does not respond to humans and ignores them, though there have only been a select few she actually responds to. 

She is the second of the two sisters that humans can safely talk to without the threat of being murdered for saying the wrong thing. 

Narberal

Closest Friends (Used VERY LOOSELY) -  Ashe, Edelgard, Hubert, Dimitri, Dedue, Felix

Narberal is a doppleganger like Pandora’s Actor. She views humans as nothing more than low-class creatures, always pondering to kill anyone who dares look down upon Ainz before asking his permission to do so. Ironically enough, she dislikes the thought of killing humans, she will not hesitate to do so if there is no reason to let them live, or unless given an order by Ainz. 

She is generally calm, but prone to anger quickly. It is also very easy to make her flustered.
