I made a render of the new self-insert I mentioned a couple of days ago, now that I've finally designed and constructed a reference model for her! This is Fioritura, or just Fiori for short - she's a siren inhabiting the waters around the town of Crop Haven, specifically being sighted near to the castle, for some reason. That "some reason" may or may not be a certain human servant who arrives there in the second year.. who knows?~

This render was quite tricky to get right, to the point that I actually had to try it twice with a different set of effects - but I was quite happy with how it turned out in the end. I hope it's therefore alright to use my tag list for this, even though it isn't explicitly a selfship render!

Today was the day that Alice's Adventures in Wonderland were first published - and as a result of this, I headcanon it to be the day Luna celebrates as her birthday! To commemmorate the day, I put together this little render of her having a nice moment to herself, using MMD ^-^

KH OC Week 2023: Day 1 - Introductions

Here is my post for the first day of this year's @khoc-week - it's an introduction to my OC, Clio!

Clio Arvense is a friendly and outgoing Keyblade wielder from the ancient age of fairytales, who lives and trains in Daybreak Town. She belongs to the Union of Anguis, as part of a high-ranking party called SAPPHIRE❧ (my actual in-game party from back when KHUX was still online!). The Sapphires, as they're called, are known for their dedication to taking down raid bosses - they even managed to gain second place in their Union because of this - but Clio still maintains her kind and light-hearted nature regardless of situation, and she's never afraid to be there for her friends and fellow party members!

Clio is a strong and versatile Keyblade wielder, mostly favouring upright- or speed-based Keyblades due to her agile fighting style; she's most often seen wielding Sleeping Lion as a result. However, she has an array of Keyblades in their fully-upgraded forms, from Starlight to Counterpoint to Bad Guy Breaker to Fenrir - yet after the Keyblade War's end, she's been seen wielding Missing Ache a lot, too.

On the note of the Keyblade War, Clio was lucky enough to be chosen as a Dandelion due to her strong light; her Chirithy and her pet Foxstar, Tea Leaf, were instrumental in helping her through the days that followed, and even now are often at her side. She's also never seen without the trademark crown of clovers that always adorns her hair!

My first proper MMD render for.. several months, ahaha, but also the first one of this year! It's of my Kingdom Hearts self-insert, Aria, being very comfortable yet ominous in the Realm of Darkness; specifically, the caption is her talking to Litas (@neuvilline's self-insert), upon meeting them again for the second time! I had a lot of fun trying to get the right vibes for this, even if actually deciding what Aria would look like at this point in time was.. somewhat of an ordeal, haha

Pro tip: if "Boycott (...)" is trending on Twitter, don't click it. 99.99% of the time most of the Tweets are incredibly bigoted and the boycott is related to the company supporting trans people. I have not once in recent days seen a Boycott (...) trend in which the boycott was actually a valid complaint.

#I saw that boycott planet fitness was trending and I wanted to see why and most of the Tweets were just calling out transphobia or people #making transphobic remarks #it took way too long to find an actual answer on why they were boycotting. it was mostly just people complaining. #from what I could gather there was a trans woman in the girls locker room and someone took a picture of her without her consent and then #that person got suspended for taking a photo #and people are saying to boycott Planet Fitness because they suspended someone who was breaking the rules #mate. you're not allowed to take photos of people in the locker room. even if the person wasn't trans you still would have been suspended #most posts were saying stuff about MAGAs making stuff up about the situation #if only the algorithm was made in a way that the top results would show explanations of the boycott #knowing why people are boycotting is much more important than dozens of posts of people complaining with no explanation #tldr most boycott related tags are rooted in some form of bigotry. mostly trans and homophobia but there have been other forms of bigotry #can't remember any specific examples right now but I'm sure there are #twitter #x #I hate twitter I just mostly use it for communicating with Japanese MMD users #some Japanese MMD artists don't want renders using their assets to be posted on sites other than Twitter and NicoNico #so I have no choice at times

To my knowledge, there is no Sapphic September event going on this year. But, I still wanted to do something to commemorate the month. So, what I decided to do was re-render and/or update each of my pieces from last year, possibly with a few new pieces in the mix too! This is the first one - it's Signora comforting my self-insert, Alectra, after the in-game cutscene where she appeared to be killed by the Raiden Shogun. She obviously doesn't die in my version of events, because.. well, that would make me sad.

Here is the alternate version! It depicts Signora without her mask or gloves, showing how I headcanon her body to look underneath them. The burn scars on her arms are from her overexerting herself and taking on her Crimson Witch form during the boss fight you have against her in the game, which is what happens shortly before this render, while her missing eye is something I headcanon to be the case due to the fact that her model's face is not symmetrical. If you try and "give her back her missing eye" by putting it into her face texture, it doesn't actually fit on her model properly; therefore, I headcanon that she doesn't actually have an eye under her mask anymore. And she canonically loses her mask after being defeated by the Traveller because they pick it up, so.. that's also why I made this.

To strike the mask from an Emissary is surely not an easy feat. But as something whose core ideal is defiance - something that has already broken both her own fate and her fate - that doesn't exactly faze Aria.

This is a scene from an RP that I and a few others are doing over Discord, called Fatebreakers, and I'd love to make more scenes from it if only I had models for every other character. I'm having a whale of a time with the whole thing so far~

I tried to edit the model I had of Ava so that the mask better resembled the one Emissary Avalyse is wearing in her artwork. She never fell over or anything - in fact, it was Aria who dove to the floor to steal her mask after it got knocked off - but I still liked this angle too much to not go with it. I think her Keyblade was also in the other mode at the time, but the red of the power mode stands out more than the blue of the magic mode.

The lighting on this piece was really not cooperating - Aria's hair is way too dark, which makes her skin look way too pale (it's supposed to be the same tone as mine!!) - but I wanted to make this quickly, so hopefully it still looks okay!
