|| I want to talk about the possibility that Furina could have loneliness syndrome, it's connection towards Furina's now minions. In furina's character stories , furina found an unknown book back then -- this is the book that inspired her to create the three minions now. && in the book , Craballeta is the main character. A maid who is young, care free && loved to sing, and it was mentioned there that craballeta's situation in the book is quite similar to hers ( She admired the happy lives of the maid and the other servants, and the maid's courage in facing down the ancient secret to defend that life.) , she even dreamed of her being inside the book , inside the mansion that was described in the book and she was ' Craballeta ' . Sounds familiar isn't it? well because it is the same with Zuria && her son , Furina is dreaming of a fairytale just like in the water imps in the new event. The story of Craballeta is after all a scary fairy tail since it was implied that the story has character death. ( Craballeta found the dead master on the second day when they are wondering why he is late ) , which is similar to the story of water imp, but furina having fixation of Craballeta , she wasn't terrified of her.
Another similar thing in the event && furina's character story is this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both paragraph points towards loneliness && companionship, even if it's different but the meaning of the sentences points towards it, depicting that those who suffer this sickness always imply their loneliness through stories. Another one that is the reason why i think furina has loneliness syndrome is when Zuria stated this.
Tumblr media
When furina gained a hydro vision , she had created those characters from the book into her own minions, she considered them her friends in fact, it was heavily implied that she created them so they will be by her side as seen in the final parts of her story .
Tumblr media
Though the question unto why furina didn't become delusional compared to zuria and her son , well because she was cursed as an immortal && i think her immortality has a benefit for her to not fully succumb into any sickness or -- wouldn't get worst , && after her becoming human again she received a vision which help her create this minions, which keeps her sane and not delusional . So yeah-- i really think furina has it.

Choi yeonjun x m!reader
Summary: yj kissing y/n to make him shut up.
Tw: none
Wc: 1.9k
New ver.
Tumblr media
"Baby I'm home!" yeonjun announced himself as he entered y/n's room, ready for some cuddling and soft kisses. But instead he found his boyfie not even paying attention to him.
His appearance in the room was only acknowledged by a hum. Sulking silently at the lack of attention, he dropped the take out on the carpet and went over to y/n, hugging him from behind.
He cheekily slid one side of y/n's headphones, kissing over the shell of his ear. "Want cuddles baby!" His jjuni said pulling y/n back a bit.
Y/n clicked the microphone off before continuing-
"Yes darling, but lemme finish this round real quick. Yeah? I'll give you everything you want" y/n said and returned to his game focusing more on the game.
On any other day yeonjun would actually leave his darling alone but today he was a little playful, a little mischievous so his next move was to annoy y/n till he gives him the attention and love he was craving for.
Jjuni went ahead and stood between the screen and his boyfriend, to this y/n just bent a little side ways ignoring his boyfriend who kept giving him pecks all over his face.
"Ahh baby! Not now please!" Y/n whined a little moving around to keep the screen in view. Yeonjun didn't listen to anything y/n babbled and sat on his lap instead.
Yeonjun chased y/n's lips trying to kiss him a bit more. For a moment y/n did kiss him back but returned his attention on the screen.
"Baby please just stay still now" y/n begged as he made yeonjun lay his head in the crook of his neck. For a while yeonjun was silent until he started tickling his lover.
Y/n wheezed trying to stop the latter. Keyword : trying. Finally y/n stopped playing when his character died in the game.
Y/n pouted and looked at the culprit who made him loose, he then just sat there folding his hands not uttering a word.
"Finally i have you all to myself" yeonjun said as he pulled y/n up and took his to their shared bed.
"but jjuni i was so close!" Y/n whined. Again not letting the topic slide.
Instead of answering, yeonjun kissed y/n shutting him up, this way he didn't need to hear the complainants and could enjoy his time with his boyfie.
When the two pulled apart, y/n smiled fondly.
"You can't just kiss my problems away jjuni"
"Really? It doesn't seem that way"
Was all yeonjun said before tugging y/n in for another kiss, food which got cold being long forgotten on the floor.

i’ve changed so much. From the very first post i’ve made on here, in comparison of the MOST recent post Today. like i’m honestly proud and still growing🥺. i can’t wait to grow better, and a more complete/clean image of myself i want accomplish the tasks i have listed ahead of me already, i’m so very excited to just reflect on what i’ve done. because it’s the most satisfying relief to take in.
It’s been so longg since i’ve ever vented like this in so so long, i’ve just been so lazy and unmotivated as much as i used to be. it’s definitely gotten worse now.
So now let me just start with the fact that i am now TWENTY, twenty years old🙂😳. i find it bizarre because i already left home ): and i honestly do hate how and why i did. i wasn’t ready let me get THAT off my chest i just went for it because i wanted to actually feel how i capable i am of living “on my own”. it may not be what i expected nor would i do it again (at all) however it really does build…. well nothing it doesn’t build anything just makes you go crazy, if i’m being honest this “new” home move in hasn’t been the most comfortable, living with your lovers mom and family is a whole game changer you really do see a someone’s comfy side… and not the good kind. It pushes me too wanna go back to my family, but then it’s just no difference i’m unhappy.
Oh how much of an emotion change that turned… I want to say so much and vent but i just tire my brain out from overthinking to much and cry, which i don’t need. i hate rushing so short but oh well it is what it isss.😕🤷🏻‍♀️

"ーcchi"
"(Y/N)-cchi"
"(Y/N)"
You snap out of your daze, only to look up to see Mikey staring at you. His dark eyes locking straight onto yours, as if he’s trying to figure out your thoughts. He’s stopped walking and is awaiting for your answer. Only the light from the light post illuminating you both as Mikey walks you home. You sheepishly smile before apologizing, “I’m sorry, what were you saying?” holding the straps of your school bag tighter. Mikey remains silent for a moment before straight forward asking you. “Are you okay?” Even if his expression did not show it you could hear a hint of concern in his voice. “I-I’m fine, just tired from school.” You reply hoping he doesn’t hear the stutter laced within. Walking a few steps forward “Come on!” you call out to him, with a smile on your face. “I see…” He replies his lips forming a tiny smile before stepping forward till he’s walking by your side.
Eventually, you both stop at the front entrance of your house. “Thank you for walking me home.” You thank him with a genuine smile on your face. Mikey returns your smile with his hands in his pockets.
"Good night, (Y/N)-cchi.”
“Good night, Mikey.”
You walk towards the entrance of your house one hand on the door handle. “Bye bye!” You smile and wave, only when Mikey sees you enter your home does he step back. He waves with a grin before walking towards the opposite direction you both came from. You step inside your home and shut the front door. Once you were in the safely of your own home, do you fall to your knees, your school bag dropping carelessly onto the floor. You could feel your body uncontrollably shake, raising your two hands to stare at them. You couldn’t tell him, about what was happening. You bite your lip as tears pool in your eyes. You couldn’t tell him about them, Yui and her minion of guys. How she would corner you at the back of the school, pulling on your hair as you sat on your knees while she viciously insults you and assaults you. Her minions laughing along, what could you do? You couldn’t fight back against three guys, you tried and you were glad Mikey did not notice the bruises that had formed underneath your long sleeved uniform.
You dreaded going to school the next day, knowing what would be awaiting you. You sluggishly button your school uniform, while the mirror reflects back the horrible bruises that have littered your arms and stomach. You hand lightly brushes against your skin only for you to wince and pull your hand away. They were the painful reminders your mind refuses to think about as it only causes more fear within you.
Putting your shoes on, you step outside beginning your walk to school. You were silent as you walked, more students appearing the closer you approach your school. As you were putting on your indoor shoes, you jumped back in surprise at the sound of your friend calling out your name. Yui blinks confusingly at you before greeting you with a smile “good morning (Y/N)!” Her light brown curls bouncing along as she spoke. Your eyes widen and your breathing quickens, “g-good morning…” you managed to stutter out, your back pressed against the shoe lockers. None of the students paying any mind to the both of you. Yui smiles before leaning towards you, “come to the usual place after school, I’ll be waiting…” she whispers menacingly into your ear skipping away with a wave of her hand. Your hold on your bag tightens as panic flushes through your veins. Her words echoing repeatedly in your mind.
.
.
.
Classes passed by in agony as your mind continues to think about Yui's words. None of the teachers words registered in your head. What was she going to do to you this time. You only prayed that it didn’t take long.
Students scatter as class ends as you slowly put away your notebooks and books into your bag, hoping to delay the inevitable. It wasn’t long until all the students left leaving you alone in the classroom with a shaky breathe you prepare yourself as walk towards the back of the school.
.
.
.
“What took you so long bitch?”
Yui immediately corners you to the wall as her sharp eyes glare into yours. “I-I" before you could even form a response she grabs you by your hair forcing you to kneel down. Your hands immediately reaches out to hers hoping she would let go. “What a bad girl, you’ve kept them waiting you know?” Your eyes immediately widen as you see three tall figures loom over you. Your breath hitches in your throat as Yui's minions menacingly smile while their eyes rake over your body. “P-Please no…!” You manage to stutter out as panic flood your body. Yui's smile only widens before she kicks you to the ground, the dirt and dust clinging onto your clothes as you wince in pain.
“Have fun boys.”
Immediately, the guy in middle jumps on you-pinning your arms to the ground. You feel your back hit the ground as your breath gets knocked out of you. “N-No stop..!” Yui let’s out an estranged laugh before pulling her phone out to record you. “Smile for the camera (Y/N)!” The guy towering over you descends upon your neck, harshly biting onto your skin enough to draw blood. You scream as you struggle to get loose only for a hand to cover your mouth, if only if you had been stronger-strong like Mikey then this wouldn’t be happening. The image of your strong boyfriend flashes through your mind as tears cascade along your face as you continue to struggle.
 Mikey…
In a flash, the guy above you was kicked away his body skittering before finally stopping-only for blood to ooze out of his nose and mouth. His body didn’t move anymore, simply lying on the dirt ground. Immediately all heads snap to a figure who had recently just appeared. The black jacket he was wearing and his blonde hair fluttering in the wind, his leg still raised in a kicking position before he lowers it down.
“W-Who the hell are y-you?” One of the two remaining guys questioned with fear in their eyes. You blink your bleary eyes as more tears fall, “M-Mikey…” you stutter out. Mikey remains silent as kneels before you, his face devoid of any emotion. He carefully pulls you up into a sitting position before draping his jacket over your shoulders. “Get him!” Yui calls out which snaps the remaining two guys action, causing them to run blindly towards Mikey with their fists pulled back. Before you could even blink, Mikey already has the two guys knocked out on the ground. “What just happened?” You knew your boyfriend was strong but this was unbelievable. It all happened in a flash.
Yui noticing that she has been outnumbered begins to tremble as her eyes land on Mikey. Mikey casually steps on the fallen bodies and approaches Yui until her back meets the wall, her phone clenched tightly within her hands. “Pleasー” Before she could utter the word a fist lands beside her head. In shock, Yui drops her phone. Mikey slowly pulls his fist away from the wall, leaving a crater in its place, remnants of the wall crumbling. Then he stomps on the phone laying on the ground crushing it to bits. “You’re lucky that I don’t hit girls…” Mikey stares down menacingly, his eyes devoid of any light. Yui could only cower as she begins to cry, mumbling incoherent apologies.
“Mikey, s-stop!” You manage to utter out as you try to stand, wincing in pain. You never seen your boyfriend like this, it was as if he was a completely different person and that scared you. “Mikey please..” Your eyes once again welling up with tears as you limp towards him. Before wrapping your shaking arms around his waist, placing your head on his back.
“P-Please…”
After a few moments of silence, Mikey finally speaks to you his back still turned towards you. “I came to pick you up but I couldn't find you then I heard your scream. I'm sorry I couldn’t protect you (Y/N)….” You buried your face further into his back, your tears wetting his shirt. “T-Thank you, for saving me…” You pull away as Mikey turns around to face you, an unexplainable emotion within his eyes. “Thank you, for saving a weakling like me...” You gently smile your glistening eyes meeting his. “You’re not weak!” Mikey exclaims as he carefully takes your bruised hand with his bloodied hand. “Not to me...” With his other hand he wipes away the blood on the corner of your lips.
“Let’s go home (Y/N)-cchi.” You nod as you both pull away from each other. You walk ahead picking up your dirty school bag, noticing how dark the sky has gotten as Mikey follows behind you then abruptly stops making sure you’re away from earshot, his head turning back to face the forgotten crying girl behind him.
“Next time you ever think of hurting her, I'll kill you…”

Waiting for the Worms- In the Flesh.
Part 16
No editing, we die like men: ill prepared and confused. Did I read this over even once before posting? Nope.
Warnings back fully into effect. Have triggers? Just go ahead and avoid this. Don't want to spoil anything, so I wont say which, but guys, you've seen my other chapters for this. You know better.
This was actually fun to write with my weird view point that's both in the moment and yet so disconnected.

~---~
Following Damian back into the living room, she saw the group all gathered around their phones, whispering amongst themselves. Approaching soundlessly, she peeked over Juleka's shoulder, catching sight of the screen at the same time Jason did.
The Joker. He had escaped Arkham once more and now held a broadcast, obviously attempting to get the attention of the Batman. Apparently he set up a new game for them to play. To make matters worse, the prize for winning? The return of Robin. A young looking boy in a different form of the Robin suit was shown for only a moment, glaring at the camera in his face. The timer was set and the broadcast cut.
That location, it was far closer to their own location than the Wayne manor. Bruce wouldn't make it. It was her and Jason all over again.
Jason.
Turning on her heel, she took a deep breath and swallowed hard to settle the anger rising in her throat and took command.
"Damian, see to Jason, keep him calm. The pit is about to take hold," she spoke calmly, Damian nodded and lead the taller man away as she turned towards the group watching her every move, "I'm setting out. Jason is likely to come with me. You'll watch over Damian in my absence. I do not expect any of the kwamis to wish to transform with me, but if you decide to, you'll need to be morally ambiguous unlike Tikki or Plagg. Neither of us will be held back or redirected. You'll have to accept whatever comes of this," looking away from the kwamis and to the bristling teens in front of her, she hardened her gaze, "Unless one of you has experience with the Lazarus Pits and their effects, you will stay away from either of us or that building. Judging by the gasps I hear from the kwamis, they will enforce this for me if you decide not to heed my words."
Stalking into her room once more, she started to drag out bags, open compartments in drawers, pull off seemingly decorative pieces from the walls. Longg approached her carefully from the side.
"I will transform with you. The others would feel more comfortable if one of you were superpowered and I'm morally gray unlike the main set."
Nodding, she took his piece carefully, "I need you to make my suit stealthy. I will not be caught due to bright colors."
"The suit will match your will," he reassured.
Transforming, she took in the multiple shades of grey and black lining her body in waves, selective holding pouches hidden within the fabric. Placing her knives about her body, she found a retractable bladed staff along her thigh. Perfect, one less large piece to carry.
Grabbing a mask, she slipped out to find Jason mostly calm. Taking his hand in hers, she led him to the bathroom and handed him his own clothes back from the league missions.
"He won't be transforming?" Marc inquired.
"His body is more riddled with madness. It's less than it would be had his soul been dipped as mine has, but I've had time to tame and curb the insanity. He hasn't. Add superpowers to the mix?"
"He'll level a city," Plagg spoke up.
"Exactly."
"And you're taking him with you?" Kagami growled out, obviously against the idea.
"Would you rather I leave him here so he can accidently kill one of you and hate himself for the rest of his life? Besides, he has no attachment towards Damian yet. I'm not risking it," her tone brokered no arguments and Jason emerged in that moment. He immediately went into her room and pulled out a gun from her side drawer, muscle memory letting him navigate the place as his own. He put it in the holster on his thigh and went towards her equipment, still out and waiting for him, sifting through until he found a larger set of machetes, grabbing them and a second mask before rejoining her at the window to the fire escape. With just a glance towards the other they knew their minds were in sync.
"Damian, stay and watch them," Jason ordered, the kid nodding at his given mission, turning towards the team with crossed arms.
With that, they climbed out and took off across the rooftops.
The run went by in a blur of motion neither could remember. Now they crouched on the edge of the building the Joker was supposedly in, scoping out the entrances. She could feel Jason practically vibrating at her side and traced spirals along his spine to keep him mentally in place.
"Shhh, focus on my instructions Jason. Those voices aren't as important as our own," she murmured, finding an unguarded door. The idiot never used obvious doors, so of course the clown wasn't focused on them as much as the windows, basement and roof access. The door she found looked like an old employee entrance, easily overlooked.
"Jay?" Before she could finish the inquiry, he moved forward and picked the lock, letting them in, keeping in front of her.
"Based on the lighting in that video, I'd guess they're keeping him further up. What do you think?"
"Likely midway up, seventh or eighth level."
They skirted their way up staircases, quietly knocking out anyone they found on their way up. Occasionally they stopped to practice deep breaths, as the further up they went, the more vivid the green in their eyes glowed. Both could sense the impending catalyst and tried to press the insanity back. They wanted this to be on their own terms.
At about the sixth level, Jason found himself having to hold Mari back, having almost torn out a guys throat for simply struggling too much in the takedown.
"Not worth it. Not yet."
Breathing heavily, the voices dropped back to reasonable levels, allowing their continued movement. Mari found herself meditating as they went, recentering herself. One of them had to stay fully self aware and she knew it had to be her. Jason needed someone to watch out for him in his first true rush, not to panic in the middle when no one could hold them back. She would be there the way Talia had been for her. As Damian normally was.
At the ninth floor, they found their target.
Marinette felt borderline insulted at the difference in treatment.
The current Robin was swinging upside down, bound in rope and gagged.
They had been chained to an operation table, beaten to a pulp with every moment too long the bat took. This boy didn't even have a guard on him. Sure, there were boobytraps set all over the damn place that they painstakingly dismantled one at a time, but even still. Not a scratch on the kid's face. Shaking the thought, Mari chided herself. Her anger was reserved for the people who put them in this situation, not some boy that was obviously dragged into the adults' personal issues. She knew when they escaped and the madness leveled out, relief for his unharmed state would course through her like a tidal wave. For now, she felt contempt and resignation. When the last trap finally fell apart, they heard his voice.
"Batsy! So you finally decide to show on time for one of your pretty birds?" It called, still not in view.
Jason bristled in her peripheral and she yanked him around quickly to focus in on her, aware of the hanging kid's eyes trained on them.
"Save Robin. He can't. He won't. We know this. Do what he didn't for us. Save. Him."
Jason's pupils blew under the mask and a growl tore from his throat as he turned towards the masked child, letting the anger direct itself into righting the injustice done unto him.
Marinette turned back towards the voice, creeping forward, bladed staff withdrawn and extended. She watched its shadow as it twisted along the walls. Finally, it turned the wrong corner and she slammed the side of the staff against him, letting the staff glide along their body as they were forced back, the tip catching their chest and opening a gash through his suit.
Joker jolted, gasping and confused, "You're not Batsy."
A feral grin grew upon her face, "No, but I'm so much more fun, wouldn't you say?" she activated wind dragon, blowing him further back across the room until he stumbled and fell onto his back. He quickly grabbed up a device and smiled maniacally, holding it up to view, starting a spiel about what it would do if he pressed this particular button, blah blah blah. She wasn't here for his rambling. Activating electric dragon, she launched herself into the device, shorting it out into a useless hunk of metal. Reappearing in front of him, she drew out her blades, only to hear quiet feet land in the room over.
"And what exactly did you have in mind, girly?" He asked, licking at the corner of his mouth in a weird tic sort of a way.
Placing a grin to rival his own across her face, she tilted her head, "It is not what I'll do that should concern you. Rather, what I'll allow him to do," she watched annoyed confusion flicker across the clownesque features as Jason appeared at her side, a second set seeming to approach her from behind. Reaching back, one hand grabbed a thin shoulder in a harsh grip to keep the kid in his place, the other went to her side to grip a broad shoulder in a more crushing grip to keep Jason from moving too soon. She turned and looked into masked, violently green eyes.
"Do you want to?" A nod. "Will you regret it?" A shake. "Will you take back your mind when it's over?" Another nod. "He's all yours, Bird. Get it out of your system, find me when you're done." A growl.
She let go and turned towards the kid, bodily backing him up into the other room, out of view.
"You don't want to see this."
"Who are you?"
"Does it matter?"
"No, I'll figure it out either way. Be nice if you made it easy though."
"Hmm, how does one become a Robin? Oh yeah, the previous one either leaves or dies."
"You don't mean," the kid's eyes widen.
"He shouldn't of allowed another one. Isn't one child dying for his cause enough?"
"It's not like that," he grew defensive.
"Isn't it though? Whether you wanted it or not, if anything happens to you, it's because he decided another child could fight actual murderers."
"That's beside the point, I need to stop them," he tried to push past her only for her to activate wind dragon and pick him straight up and out of the building to another rooftop, letting him go at the top, though grabbing his grapple as she reformed.
"Do you recognize this part of the city?"
"What are you doing? Let me back in there," he sounded panicked.
"Breath, little bird. Do you recognize where we are?"
"I- yes. I recognize it."
"Do you know how far it is from Wayne Manor?"
"What does that-" he attempted playing dumb.
"Do you?"
"Of course I do!"
"I know you do. You're a smart little bird. Very well learned. You know how long it takes to get here from the Manor as well don't you? And what time the broadcast went up?"
The kid's face darkened, and while he obviously didn't want to admit it, he could obviously make the calculations.
"He wouldn't have made it on time."
"It was on purpose. Joker wants to remind him of his greatest failure," the teen, she realized, rationalized.
"Batman isn't the only one Joker reminded. People don't take kindly to reminders of their dying day."
"So you two are?"
"Undead? In a funny way, yes. And absolutely riddled with destructive insanity."
"You don't seem it."
"I've had time to repress it. Learn control and stability. Him, not so much. This is his first relapse. There's no preventing it. Only directing it. I figure taking out an actual child murderer, who has tortured and ended the life of hundreds, including the sick and dying would be an alright outlet."
"It's immoral."
"We both know the only reason Bruce won't kill is that he wouldn't stop once he started. He'd lose control entirely. It's nothing to do with morality. Otherwise he wouldn't turn a blind eye to the select hits Alfred made in his time."
"How do you know so much?"
"How do you?"
"I figured it out on my own and decided for him."
"Very clever of you. But you didn't decide for him, he let you and took advantage of your determination. I'm sure in more ways than this one." She picked his arguments apart, remembering the way Talia detached Damian from herself. She didn't like the idea of manipulating a kid into disowning his own family, but a toxic situation was still toxic. She'd contact Alfred later to get back in touch as well as a better read on the situation.
As the teen became frustrated once more, he moves towards her to get back his gear only for Jason to drop next to them, breathing heavily with blood dripping down his arms and from the blades across his back, down onto his legs and the ground surrounding.
He seemed to slowly come back from the insanity, leaning into her, "I killed him. Fuck, I killed him," he gasped.
Marinette reached up and stroked his head in soothing motions.
"It's okay, Jay, it's okay. He deserved it. You hate taking another's life and feel the weight of it, but it wasn't a life that was regrettable to end," she whispered, remembering the words that assuaged her own guilt.
"The-the Joker is dead?" The teen before them whispered.
Jason peeked up at the little Robin before them, the green sparking for another moment, "He made another? Replaced us? The mantle should have died when you did. Dick should have stopped him," he groaned out, hatred and fear pulsing in waves.
"Oh shit, you're the last Robin. Jason," the teen's breath caught, half in awe, half dread.
"Yeah, the last. Why? You shouldn't be here," his voice quivered.
Mari handed the grappling gear back over, looking him directly in his hidden eyes, "I know you're going to tell him Jason's back. That he killed the Joker. I'm sure you'll even mention me. But I'm sure he'll notice our own message."
"And what would that be?"
"We were the ones to save you. Not him. Let me know if you ever need an escape from that nightmare."
With that, she lead Jason away, having heard his breathing even out and calm moments before.
"Let's go home," she whispered in his ear, getting a soft nod and taking off back across the roofs.

The Demon’s Bride (1)
So this is my first time using tumblr and my first attempt at fanfic. Any formatting or tagging advice would be appreciated.
So I fell in the sea of fanfic three years ago and the #Daminette ship was the one to pull me out and press me into labor. Good job all you wonderfully evil authors out there.
So, here’s to @ozmav and @bluerosette23 as creator and archiver of this ship. And @mindfulmagics for putting the seed of someone actually has this bug in their brain too that got me writing. I’m going to try to get as many people tagged for this story as I can, especially if I called upon your own stories for inspiration. This first chapter has a call back to @multifandomscribette because I could not imagine this story starting any other way after reading their story “Gotham for Two”. (GO read it it’s awesome).
Other sources of inspiration are @mochinek0 , @snowhirl , and @inevitableenquere . I can’t remember how but your stories have inspired me. Thank you.
Next Masterpost

Chapter 1
The whole situation was, in the words of her old schoolyard bully, “ridiculous, utterly ridiculous”. After Lila’s return and eventual take over of the Lycée class Marinette was more of an after thought to most of her classmates. The last minute call when a banner for some competition was happening, when treats and desserts were needed for a class picnic or costumes to film the classes newest movie.
The first and last were better as her closest friends had realized what Lila was doing to Marinette a few months in. After they apologized, Marinette accepted Nino, Kim, Alix, and Max back into her circle of confidence. Juleka was the only one of her circle in the classroom that was still in the sphere of Lie-la but that was planned with Marinette. She needed to know what the liar was saying and Juleka was able to use her sweetheart, Rose, as a cover for staying close.
Two years down the line and the classroom battle field hadn’t changed. Lila had most of the class in her thrall and only Nino, Kim, Alix, and Max were on Marinette’s side with Juleka working as their deep cover spy.
Adrien had insisted Marinette take a pacifist route to the Lila problem in the beginning and “be the bigger person” in order to keep Lila from being akumatized. At least they both knew she was a liar and he was on her side, right?
And he was on her side. In secret. For a week. Then he fell to Lila’s claws and joined in with the class’s ‘attack Marinette’ mob mentality. They would send her horrible texts about how no one liked her and that she should disappear. They destroyed one of the sketchbooks that she left in her locker. Then it got physical, suddenly she was tripping over feet and books were knocked out of her hands. And she deserved it for bullying Lila.
That lasted almost two months before Nino realized what the class was doing looked a lot like bullying Marinette. And then Kim, Alix and Max remembered that it was Marinette in their last year at Ecole who knocked out that bully who was targeting the younger kids. Marinette did not like bullies.
Nino and Alya broke up over his betrayal of Lila. He and the others were ostracized from the class as well but it was Marinette who still took the brunt of their attacks.
Adrien’s bigger person approach didn’t work anyways. As it seemed Lila was either getting akumatized or the reason for someone else getting akumatized every other week. Unfortunately, even battling Akuma’s wasn’t a relief from harassment for Marinette.
Chat Noir, her supposed partner, was getting worse in his pursuit of her. He refused to take no for an answer and planned dates she would decline to go to and get angry at her when she didn’t show anyways. In retaliation he would show up later and later to battles until eventually he stopped showing up at all. Once that happened, Marinette started searching for some permanent replacement heroes with the Guardians blessing.
Master Fu had begun training her to take on the responsibility of Guardian of the Miraculous. And as a test for her suitability as guardian she was given free reign to choose the new miraculous team. The first thing she had done was to retire Alya after the Lila disaster. Nino only maintained his place as one of the temporary heroes once he had apologized and the others were also on reserve for world ending Akuma’s.
But frankly, she had no trust in her classmates to have her back in the field.
So she had looked to her family for possibilities. The first she had tapped was Kagami. When paired with Longg and the dragon miraculous, Kagami became the offensive fighter that Chat had failed to be. Luka was next, paired with Sass and the snake miraculous he became their defensive player and strategizer. He watched the possibilities unroll and guided them when they were heading for danger. Juleka was last and she took to Trixx like a fox to her den. With the regular team decided upon and the temporary heroes settled battles with Akuma started to flow much easier and faster.
Which was great when they were in Paris. But she wasn’t in Paris right now. No, right now she was in America, in a strange city. After dark. Alone. Yay.
If that wasn’t bad enough that unfamiliar city just happened to be Gotham. The crime capital of the world. And it wasn’t a nice part of the city she was in, like the financial or fashion districts. No, she was in the district better know as Crime Alley. What even, was her life?
The class had traveled there as part of their extra curricular studies. They had gotten lucky (ha, lucky charm) to be chosen as one of the classes to participate in a training seminar at Wayne Enterprises with other schools from around the world. The flight had been uneventful, just Lila boasting about her connections in Gotham. They mostly centered around the celebrities like the Wayne family or the vigilante/heroes, Batman and his clan.
Marinette and her group had rolled their eyes but mostly ignored her and her slaves. They landed safely and made it to the hotel safely. And while not in the best neighborhood it hadn’t been in Crime Alley. So why did Ms. Bustier choose to take the class to a restaurant inside Crime Alley for dinner? Who knows? Marinette certainly didn’t.
It probably wouldn’t have mattered except that while Marinette was in the restroom the rest of the class disappeared. Now here she was, walking alone in Crime Alley, with nothing but a Kwami with her for protection. A Kwami she needed to keep a secret.
She sighed as the footsteps behind her picked up speed. At this point she was simply easy prey to the predators that stalked these streets. She opened her purse and glanced down at Tikki who was looking up at her. At Tikki’s small smile she looked around to decide on a plan of action.
Seeing her chance, Marinette started running. Instead of veering to the street she aimed towards an alley ahead of her. As soon as she turned she saw a brick wall ahead of her that was the rear of a building, and with buildings on either side of her she was boxed in. Perfect, she smiled.
She dropped the smile and turned as her stalkers steps fell silent behind her. One hand was holding a gun aimed at her and the other hand was held open and gesturing to her.
“Looks like you’re boxed in pretty thing. Just give me your money and I won’t hurt you,” he said in English.
Thinking quickly Marinette ducked her head as if she were cowed into obedience by the sight of the gun. “Do you promise?” she asked in the same language.
“I’m a man of my word, pretty. Your money gets you your life.”
But doesn’t guarantee my safety, Marinette thought as she fumbled with pulling her wallet from her purse. She held it out before her and waited.
The mugger walked towards her and reached for the wallet she held. As he touched it Marinette’s free hand wrapped around the wrist and pulled. Unprepared for her move the man stumbled forward and his nose connected with the elbow she raised. Pulling back with a yelp he dropped the gun when Marinette’s second grab and subsequent nerve strike numbed the hand holding it.
He looked up at the barrel of his own weapon held in Marinette’s hand.
“What was that about my life?” She asked calmly.
Before he could answer a thud behind her had Marinette turning again.

Hopefully people actually got tagged on this. Let me know if you didn’t. Again I’m new and don’t know the tagging system yet.
Let me know what you think. As they say comments are a writers wages and if I get enough (and I finish editing chapter 2) I’ll post it tonight. Questions are appreciated though I may not answer unless it won’t pop up in story but we’ll see where I go with this.

Scarlet Fever Ch. 4 Maneki-neko
LoganLight, AO3
Summary:
Convincing the Guardian... In theory.
Notes:
Hmm, so this fic is going to have transitional chapters in between the actual fighting (mostly).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kagami didn't like hiding. She preferred to attack her opponents head on. But there were too many minions and akuma around. She remembered the last time Papillon Écarlate attacked and didn't care to repeat it.
Plus, the kissing zombies tended to swarm. She'd almost been overtaken when the ladybugs restored their minds. Not that it slowed Zombizou much. Once she got traction her 'love' curse spread exponentially.
Kagami needed a better hiding spot than this tree. Honestly, she was surprised they hadn't found her yet... Though it might've had something to do with her mother mowing down zombies like so much grass.
Truly, Tomoe Tsurugi did not take kindly to their sword practice being interrupted.
"I'm surprised you didn't join her."
Kagami swung her bokken, pointing it at the intruding voice behind her.
"Hey!" Mister Bug protested, ducking his head back into his tunnel like a startled meerkat. "That any way to greet a friend?"
Kagami blinked in surprise as she lowered her weapon. "Chat Noir?"
"It's Mister Bug right now, actually." He rose out of the tunnel up to his shoulders and offered his hand, retracting the drill at the end. "Come with me if you want to live."
Kagami raised an eyebrow but turned back to her mother. Tomoe was tiring, it would not be long before she was overwhelmed. "Mother..."
"Kagami! Get back!"
"Mother, I can help!"
"Go, I said!"
Mister Bug's eyes softened. He didn't want to leave Kagami's mother behind but he was already pushing it with Sabine. Tomoe would insist on being with her daughter. "I'll save her," he promised. "I just have to get you out of here first."
Kagami nodded even as her grip tightened around her bokken in frustration. He backed up so she could enter the tunnel. It was big enough for them to stand in even if they had to walk single file. He pressed the ladybug shaped headlamp on his forehead, illuminating the path, and hurried foreward.
"Why does Ladybug not possess her Miraculous?" Kagami inquired. "Have you switched again?"
Mister Bug moved faster. He didn't glance back; not wanting to see Kagami's reaction. His thoughts returned to the locker room. To the way Marinette looked at him with such hopelessness. Her desperation as she called to him for help. If he had just acted faster. If he'd done more... Then maybe his Lady wouldn't be akumatized.
He shook the guilty thoughts from his mind. Those wouldn't help Ladybug now. He needed to focus. "Not exactly.  She's in trouble and I'm the only one whose used the Ladybug Miraculous before and I can't... I need your help."
The earthen tunnel ended in the city sewers.
"You need Ryuko again." Kagami had guessed as much.
Mister Bug turned to look her in the eye. "We need you to use a Miraculous, yeah. But not the Dragon."
"Would it not have been simpler to bring the Miraculous with you?" Kagami asked in confusion. Clearly, he didn't have it with him. That was quite odd.
Mister Bug rubbed the back of his neck. "Kind of dangerous to have both on me... And I might have jumped ahead without thinking. But you need to come anyway."
"... That does not make things clearer."
Mister Bug sighed. "Sorry. I'm all wound up. I'll explain once I get your mother to safety." He opened his yo-yo and pulled up a map of the sewer system. "Here. Follow this red line."
Kagami heard her phone ring and pulled it out to see the emailed map.
He stepped back into his tunnel. "I'll catch up."
Kagami placed a hand on his shoulder. "Be careful."
Mister Bug's eyes widened at the simple gesture. He grinned. The first one she'd seen since he appeared. "Don't worry. They'll never see me coming."
He ran back to her mother and she followed the map he'd given her.
--------------------------------------------------------
Sabine considered herself a patient person. Understanding, slow to anger, down to earth. But even she had her limits. And this here? This made her blood boil.
"You did what!?" Sabine fumed.
Master Fu winced. They sat on the floor across from each other using the folded tarp. Out of slapping range. "It is necessary for a Miraculous to bond with someone at a young age so they may grow into the role."
"And you chose Marinette for her quick thinking." Sabine felt conflicted. On one hand she was proud of Marinette's accomplishments as a hero. On the other, this strange man had invited himself into her daughter's life with a heavy burden Marinette had not asked for.
"I am too old to fight Papillon myself and he needed... needs, to be stopped."
"So, you chose barely teenage kids." Sabine decided she would be blunt. "That is irresponsible. Someone even a few years older might make sense but Marinette just turned fourteen and that young man can't be much older."
"As I said before there are certain conditions that-"
"Conditions that needed to be met. Yes." Her hands ticked. Sabine needed to do something with them, she kept reaching for tea that wasn't there. "And you chose my daughter. Whom you did not train. Whom you thrust into a relationship of blind trust with a stranger. Without any external support. And you expect me to-"
The sound of rushing footsteps interrupted her. They both tensed and Sabine stood, setting her fighting stance.
Mister Bug charged in, yo-yo whirling. Kagami followed, her bokken raised to strike. "We heard shouting! What's wrong?"
Sabine relaxed her stance and Master Fu stepped away from the box on the couch he was shielding. "Mme. Cheng and I were simply in a... disagreement."
Sabine thought it was much more than a 'disagreement' but... She looked at the two youths in front of her and walked towards them. "Are you both alright?" Sabine asked as she placed a hand on their shoulders.
Mister Bug smiled tensely as Kagami gave a stiff nod. She was surprised to see Marinette's mother here but held back her questions.
"About as well as can be expected," Mister Bug replied. He didn't sound convincing even to himself.
"Kagami Tsurugi," Master Fu greeted, bowing slightly to her. "I am the Guardian of the Miraculous."
Sabine stepped back from the youths and Kagami returned the bow. "An honor."
"Normally, we wouldn't meet face-to-face but these are desperate circumstances." Master Fu asserted. "With the both of you we'll be able to save Ladybug and-"
"I'm not letting them go alone," Sabine declared. "Marinette is my daughter and I will be there to help her."
Master Fu's brow furrowed. "Giving Kagami the Black Cat Miraculous is one thing..."
Kagami's eyes widened. Her? The Black Cat? She didn't feel worthy of such consideration. Then Sabine's words sank in. "What has become of Marinette? She is my friend. I will help her any way I can."
The other three looked at her in a mixture of surprise and unease. But it was Sabine who answered. "Marinette's been akumatized..."
Kagami felt the shock like a physical blow. "Then there's no time to waste! We must stop Papillon Écarlate!"
Mister Bug gazed in admiration at Kagami's conviction. Her reaction reaffirmed his faith in her ability to wield the Black Cat. If only they had someone who was better suited for the Ladybug.
"My sentiments exactly," Sabine agreed, turning to the Guardian with defiance in her eyes.
Master Fu was agitated. He needed to make them understand. "Mme. Cheng, in order to wield a Miraculous properly you must have certain characteristics. Mister Bug is already wielding a Miraculous he's unbalanced with-"
Mister Bug looked away, barely resisting the urge to make a sarcastic comment. It's not like he disagreed.
"-Having another mispaired wielder is risky."
Mister Bug looked between the two adults. Sabine wasn't going to back down. And Master Fu needed incentive to release the Dragon. "... You told Ladybug that adults can use the Miraculous without timing out, right? Mme. Cheng-"
"Call me Sabine."
"...Sabine. Would be invaluable backup out there. She could use the Miraculous's power as many times as we need." Mister Bug reasoned.
Master Fu glanced from Adrien to Sabine's equally determined features.
"We need all the help we can get," Mister Bug stressed.
Master Fu sighed, conceding the point.
He brought the Miracle Box to the center of the room and opened it. The other three present gazed with wonder at the sight and Master Fu was reminded that Adrien had not seen it before. "Sabine Cheng, Kagami Tsurugi, you are charged with the Miraculous of the Dragon and Black Cat to assist Mister Bug. You will return the Miraculous to me when your task is complete."
They took the Miraculous Master Fu offered and a blinding light flared briefly before revealing the Dragon and Black Cat kwamis.
Mister Bug gazed at Plagg as he introduced himself to Kagami. There was a question in the kwami's eyes as he glanced at Adrien. The same question Plagg asked almost daily... But it wasn't the time so Mister Bug gestured encouragingly at Kagami.
Sabine took in Longg's extensive explanation with practiced patience. She needed to know everything about the Dragon if she was going to help Marinette.
Kagami was not in a patient mood. "Plagg, trans-"
"Wait!" Mister Bug urged, remembering his side trip. He opened his yo-yo and pulled out half a dozen wheels of the transformation cheese. "We need an edge."
Master Fu's eyes widened as Adrien kneeled to set down the transformation cheese on the floor. "You went back to my apartment? That was risky."
"Good thing Papillon's an idiot who didn't think of posting a guard then, isn't it?" Mister Bug observed as he organized the cheese wheels, wondering which powers to use. "I didn't find any of Ladybug's power-ups."
"Ladybug made her own macarons once she learned how to make the potions," Master Fu explained as he knelt down beside Adrien.
Mister Bug paused. "... Oh..." He shook the distracting thought about secrets away and cleared the lump in his throat. "Flight looks like the best choice for fighting Princess Justice."
"Correct," Master Fu agreed. "We have a limited number of power-ups. We need to succeed on the first try."
"Wish we knew what happened to Viperion," Mister Bug thought out loud.
"We can't wait any longer!" Kagami cut in. "Papillon Écarlate grows stronger with each passing moment. Viperion could be akumatized for all we know."
"You're right," Mister Bug rose and gave a yellow wedge to Sabine and Kagami. "Give your kwamis this. I need to feed Tikki."
Mister Bug left the room and went in another down the hallway, out of sight.
"Detransforme-moi."
Adrien gave Tikki Camembert so she could recharge her energy. The potion laced cheese took too much out of the kwamis for it to provide any nourishment. "Sorry, I don't have any macarons."
"That's alright, Adrien. Not all kwamis are as picky as Plagg." Tikki soothed as she ate.
Adrien appreciated her attempt to lighten the mood. "... Plagg doesn't look happy."
"He's just worried about you," Tikki replied as she set a reassuring hand on his cheek. "He knows we need a Ladybug."
Adrien smiled as he wiped something from his eyes. "Yeah... We do."
His transformation call was echoed by his teammates from the other room. He took in the determination in their eyes as he entered. Noting that it mirrored his own. As the most experienced hero, they looked to him to lead.
He took a deep breath, banishing the doubts from his mind. "Let's go get her back!"
----------------------------------------------------------
Luka was terrified.
His sister, Reflekta, stood atop the mast. Firing from the Liberty as it sailed down the Seine. His mother Captain Hardrock, laughed as the unfortunate people became copies of her daughter. He was tied to the mast and forced to watch. Akuma fluttering around him.
But that paled in comparison to the blank eyes that stared at him from behind her mask. He tried to read her as she floated before him. She revealed nothing.
"Marinette-"
"I am Princess Justice!" She corrected. "Why aren't you akumatized yet? Your family's under his control. You're trapped and powerless. Your crush-" She placed a hand on her chest. "-has betrayed you. Why won't you give in?"
Luka's gaze softened. "Ladybug will save you."
Princess Justice threw her head back and laughed. The most emotion he'd seen from her. "Oh, is that what you've been holding onto? Let's get to the truth of the matter." She leaned forward to whisper in his ear. "I. Am. Ladybug."
Luka's eyes widened in shock. "Wh-what? No... You're lying!" The akuma swirled in response to his agitation.
"Justice doesn't lie."
"No..." An akuma flew towards the ring on his finger...
He heard the familiar whir of a yo-yo before all three akuma around him were captured. Princess Justice turned just in time to be tackled by a black blur. A guy in a Ladybug suit rushed towards him and broke his chains.
"Mister Bug?" Luka's emotional whiplash was leaving him disoriented.
"In the flesh!" Mister Bug gave a grin that didn't quite reach his eyes as he picked Luka up and flew away from the detransforming ship. Dodging blasts from Reflekta as he went.
Sabine removed her sword from the compass as an akuma flew out... Right. That's why they needed Mister Bug.
"Wind Dragon!" Sabine swirled around the akuma, keeping it from escaping until Mister Bug could purify it. Being fluid was odd but at least the akuma didn't have anything solid to anchor itself to.
She wondered how long she could keep the whirlwind up.
Princess Justice kicked at her assailant's chest, knocking them back and freeing her arms. Righting herself she studied the flying hero.
Her suit looked more like a ninja outfit than anything else. The hood had cat ears and the sash around her waist curled like a tail. Green bands wrapped around her forearms and lower legs. Between her arms and torso was fabric that gave it the appearance of a wingsuit. Only the mask and eyes remained unchanged.
The red butterfly mark flared across Princess Justice's face. "So, Mister Bug's found a little kitty to take his place while he plays at being Ladybug. How foolish! Take this inexperienced girl's Miraculous quickly and go squash that bug!"
Princess Justice unwound her whip. "You wish to be the new Chat Noir? Let me show you what he's best at!" She struck at the pretender.
The cat dodged easily and brought out her baton. Extending and splitting it in two. "Keeping the enemy distracted?" she offered.
Princess Justice blinked and looked back at the Liberty just in time to see Mister Bug break Reflekta's mirror. Her eyes hardened and she made to rush towards him.
A rapidly extending baton knocked her off course. The cat floated in her way.
"Very well," Princess Justice decided. "I'll take your Miraculous first, 'Chat Noir'!"
"Maneki-neko," she corrected, retracting her baton back to sword length. "And we'll see about that."
The hero charged with her batons raised as the villain lashed out with her whip.

Notes:
There will be more Dragon Sabine and Cat Kagami in the next chapter, I promise!
And Sabine isn't done with Master Fu.
(Yes, I know I'm bad at summaries.)

“Bloody pirates.” Peter murmured to himself searching for his sword that he couldn't find anywhere.
“Everyone is ready captain.” You teased smiling at Peter crossing your arms over your chest, jumping slightly at the sound of your voice he turned around to face you.
“I told you to stop calling me that.” he said huffing going back to looking for his sword.
“Old habit.” You shrugged looking around the room that was a mess from Peter looking for his sword. Walking to the other side of the room you grabbed the sword and wiped it clean with your shirt and offered it to Peter.
“Let’s go fight some pi-” Peter said and was quickly interrupted by a boom of a canon going off in the distance. Disappearing you were left alone god you hated when he did his stupid magic trick of popping in and out of places. You ran towards camp with the rest of the boys your sword clinking against your side.
“Okay boys we have to take down these pirates no matter what.” Peter spoke to the boys as you strode towards them, they all leaned against their weapons unsure what the big deal was about these curtains pirates. They’ve all taken down pirates before without a fuss in fact you’ve all made a day of it.
Peter dismissed them to go to their posts, leaning against a tree you stayed to watch him as he passed around before following the boys close behind. As soon as everyone was out of sight you turned around and headed towards where you all usually sat around a fire and ate.
“Well if it isn’t Captain Jack Sparrow.” You said tapping his shoulder with the edge of your sword.
“Ah yes hello my dear.” He said standing up straight smiling widely at you with a bottle of rum clasped tightly in his hand. “Well my don’t you look uh- not old.” He said stumbling over his words trying to find the correct ones.
“Always so very charming.” You said dismissing his comment and walking away to join Peter and the boys. He followed you closely behind both of you making your way to the beach. “So I’m taking that you’re not the pirates we’re killing today.”
“No but I do know the ones that are and let me tell you darling they’re not easy to kill.” He said pointing at you with the tip of the bottle.
“That’s what every pirate says about their crew.”
“Trust me lass the un dead are not dying no matter what.” He said taking a swig out of his bottle. “That’s why I’ve come to offer my assistance.”
“And why would you do that?” He said side eye looking at him.
“Well I’m a noble man now and have come to save Elizabeth and Will Turner.” He smiled widely at you stumbling over a overgrown tree root.Looking at him rather ugly until he met your gaze he gave a loud and exaggerated sigh. “Okay they have my ship.” He said taking another swig of the bottle making his stench of rum grow stronger.
The both of you made your way towards the boat were you could already hear the clanging of swords and the bombing of canons.
“My ship!” Jack yelled running towards the ship, discarting his half empty bottle of rum and taking out his sword ready to fight. Your heart breath quickly the adrenaline filling your body as you ran to catch up to Jack making your ways to the ship.
You stopped dead in your tracks as you saw the skeleton people fight under the moonlight, your blood ran cold but adventure didn’t shake as you hesitantly started running once again.
The clanging of swords rang through the air, frustrated groans coming from the lost boys wanting nothing more than to end this once and for all but how could you kill someone that is already dead.
You lost view of Peter and you couldn’t see him anywhere in the fight. Shaking your head you came back to fighting the skeletons that tried killing the others and the lost boys.
You swing your sword at the neck of one of the skeletons, its head falling to the ground as the rest of the body scrambled to the ground to retrieve it. Kicking it off the boat you saw the body swing itself off deck to go after it.
Great one down 30 more to go.
You saw a glimpse of a fish net that laid almost under Peter, you recognized the material immediately. It was rope enchanted with anti magical entrapment used to capture sirens or other creatures that lurk the ocean. You ran to Peter before he could trigger the rope to go off but before you could pull him away he stepped onto it, bloody pirates, knowing he would do himself and nobody any good if he was left magicless you ran faster.
Grabbing him by his collar you pulled him for a kiss. It filled your body with a warm feeling you couldn’t help but acknowledge, your heart filled with a weird kind of joy that you couldn’t remember the last time you felt it.
“See you later pretty boy.” You smiled at him pushing him off the ship before the trap went off and you were hurled up in the air in a fishing net. Peter looked up at you soaking wet as you were trapped in the air looking down at him. Anger started filling inside of him, he started swimming towards the ship again trashing his arms as quickly as he could. His desperation almost made him forget he had powers, he felt so helpless in those brief moments of fogginess. Just as quickly as he was thrown into the water he was out of it, two feet on the ship once more.
Before you could scream out to him to leave and return to Neverland he laid out cold in the deck. The cheering captain and crew proud of themselves as they made their way further into Neverland searching for what they came for.
“Jack! Come back here you bloody coward!” You called out to the ship your face pressed against the ropes holding you up. The sunrise swept across the ship the skeletal faces turning to normal faces right in front of your eyes. You looked from the disappearing ship to Peter who was stirring awake on the deck.
Before you could yell anything to the ship the ropes above you cut and you were being hurled to the ground. You crashed into the hardwood deck pulling the rope off of you and crawling your way towards Peter but stopping yourself as soon as the ropes pooled around your feet.
“Shouldn’t you go see if your captain is still breathing lass?” Captain Barbossa said making his way towards you as you stood there glancing at Peter from the corner of your eye.
“He’s not the captain.” You dryly said clenching your jaw and staring up at Barbossa.
“Is that so? Well then who is.” He asked his eyes narrowed looking at you.
“Me.”
“You? A mere lass, not even old enough to be considered a wench.” He laughed his crew following pursuit.
“Yes I am.” You said rolling down your sleeve to show the small ‘P’ that was branded on your wrist. “He’s a stowaway that snuck into my ship go ahead check his weapons, ask him anything.” You said extending your arm towards Peter that was sitting up looking at the exchange that was happening in front of him.
Without words Barbossa went over to Peter and picked up his weapons that were at his feet, grabbing his sword he inspected it closely.
“Rust.” Barbossa said throwing the sword to Peters side. Reaching for your sword taking it out of its scabbard, you took it out and was greeted with half a dozen swords pointed at you. You held out the sword to Barbossa for him to inspect, without hesitation he grabbed it out of your hands and inspected it.
“You should be hanged for questioning my rank.” You said as he handed you back your clean sword.
“Aye my apologies Miss. What shall I call ye?”
“Y/N. Captain Y/N Y/L/N.” You said offering your hand out to shake, he promptly took it and shook it with a confused look in his face trying to remember your name and if he ever heard of it even if it was just in passing. “The Devil's mistress.” You said hesitantly always hating that name, well it depends on which definition of mistress they went on. His face said it all as the slap of realization hit him, he’s heard stories about you long ago and about your disappearance.
“Blow me down is it really!” A crew member called out from behind the captain craning his neck to look at you.
“No it can’t be she would be about 90 years old now and she’s but a lass.” The captain said looking at you curiously. His eyes searched yours for any sign of deceit and he didn’t know what to say when he didn’t find none.
You rolled up your sleeve to further reveal a tattoo of a shellback turtle, the north star which was Peter’s favorite and a tattoo of a mermaid with devil horns sticking out of her flowing hair. The devil mermaid was how every tale described you a siren that lured men to sea if you didn’t kill them first.
“Anyone could get those tattoos.” Another shipmate called out, reaching for your pocket you took out the flute from a bag you had slinged across your body. Everyone waited in anticipation as you played it, you focused your gaze on a crew mate and played on. The man’s vision grew hazy as he began to stumble his way towards the edge of the boat, and just before he had the chance of swinging his other leg over the fence you stopped playing.
“Well blime me. How do you look like that after 90 years.” The captain asked hungry for your anwer.
“A curse.”
“By whom? Why are you in this Island?” The captain asked as everyone even Peter was hanging on to every word you were saying. After all these years of knowing you you only ever mentioned being a pirate in passing to him never going into much detail.
“I was looking for Captain Hook. A fellow that sails the Jolly Roger he’s the one that put this curse on me making me look like I wouldn’t even be allowed to set foot as a cabin mate. I won’t ever sail the seas again without the fear of Davy Jones himself rising and dragging me down with him for all eternity.” You lied through your teeth. “He has a pending dance with Jack Ketch and I want to see to it personally that he does so.” You smiled at the captain, glancing briefly at Peter who was confused as to what exactly you were saying.
“I heard he has a new wench he’s in love with. Love makes pirates be ever so careless wouldn’t you say captain.” You smiled at him “Last time I saw him he had a ship full of rum and treasure, I’m not interested in all of that I just want his head and his lady friends.” You said offering your hand out to him to strike up a deal with him which he agreed with with a smile.
Getting off the ship with Peter you waved goodbye to the ship, turning away and walking back to camp Peter walking closely behind you.
“Wait! The Devil's mistress?” He questioned running in front of you walking backwards to look at you.
“Yea means the devil's wife or the devil's lover depends on the story.” You said rolling your eyes and walking past him.
“Well just my luck everyone calls me the devil!” Peter shouted after you, you couldn’t help the smile that spread over your face.
