He hides under a shell of this version of himself that he wants people to see so they don't get too close because he is so vulnerable. These moments are rare overall, mostly come through when he's at his lowest points but I want to highlight he's a multi faceted character that is more than just an asshole. Other times we've gotten to see Rocket unfiltered is when Groot was about to die "Why are you doing this?!", with Yondu (several moments), talking to Thor in the pod, his moment of silence with Nebula, during their last meeting in vol 3, and the clip of Rocket leading the new Guardians. ///

every day i'm shocked seam didn't become a tumblr sexyperson. you're telling me that deltarune has a mysterious cheshire cat character with an almost permanent smile. who is implied to be extremely strong. who makes references to alternate save files frequently. who is tied to the ever-popularly-speculated-upon shadow crystals and secret bosses (and is THE shadow crystal character). who laughs ominously and constantly says mocking things in a very bemused sort of way. and they're not a tumblr sexyperson.
