lip taking the younger babies out for the first time while the older ones are in school, and amelia is just a chubby little baby in the stroller and ronan is just starting to run around and he’s like “this is nothing”
god he's such a dilf. his purpose on earth was to be a dilf and i stand by that.
he had so much practice with his younger siblings. he can change a diaper with his eyes closed, which comes in handy on the long newborn nights with freddie.
it kinda makes you insecure?? a little when you're a new mom and you feel like everything is falling apart and then there he is- just cool, calm, and collected. seems to know exactly what to do bc he's done it before with his siblings, and you feel like you're drowning at some points.
but he's such a good dad. it's the main reason you have so many babies with him. he's so good to them, to you. it's all he's ever wanted really, to have a family of his own.
definitely not one to get overwhelmed easy in the chaos. ronan's running stage is nothing like jude's (his was brutal, he was nearly a leash kid lol). he'll run ahead a little bit, get scared, and turn back to make sure lip or you are still behind him. the first time he does it tho, your heart drops, nearly screeching at him to stop, when lip just shakes you off.
"he'll stop, look," and sure enough, he does, checks to make sure you're behind him, then when you get a bit closer does it again.
baby amelia in her stroller, the hood up to protect her sensitive skin from the sun. he's a fucking vision with a diaper bag and a stroller, pushing it through the neighborhood.

illicit affairs | lip gallagher
summary: you and Lip are up late in the kitchen. content: female reader, insinuations of sex, unedited
"Starting to think you two are attached at the hip," Ian teases from his spot at the kitchen table.
It's late, nearly midnight, and you're not sure why you're still up. Actually, Lip's up which means you're up. Your arms are wrapped around his bicep as he makes you and himself something small to eat.
You send a glare over Ian's way and he laughs at you, "Not making fun of you, sweetheart."
It feels like he is. Lip huffs out what you think is supposed to be a laugh or maybe just acknowledgment of the conversation but he doesn't chime in. You tuck yourself further into him, laying your cheek against his arm.
"We'll go to bed in a minute," he promises, finishing up your food. He looks away from his task to press a kiss to your head, finger hooking underneath your chin to pull your gaze up to him. He smiles down at you, leaving a weak peck on your lips before his attention is away from you again.
"Thank you," you yawned. He hums in response, handing you over the snack he's made for you. Letting go of his arm, he frowns at you, wrapping his arms around your waist. His face presses into the comforting space between your neck and your shoulder. He can't help but leave a kiss there, sending goosebumps over your skin.
Ian bids his goodnights whilst mumbling something about the two of you being too lovey-dovey. You giggle when Lip spins you around, keeping you pressed between him and the counter behind you.
"You're very pretty," he mumbles, eyes trained on you. He backs away slightly, hands firmly holding your hips as he looks you up and down. Your face flushes underneath his watch and you draw your bottom lip into your mouth. "Nuh-uh, don't do that to me."
"I'm not doing anything," you whine, lips pushing out into a pout. He rolls his eyes, backing away from you with his hand thrown up by his chest. "What? No, come back."
"I don't know. If I come back, will you stop looking at me with those 'fuck-me' eyes?" he teases.
"Fine," you huff, turning your back towards him. Lip has to take a deep breath before he walks back over to you, hand moving around you to move your plate out of the way before the same hand is pressing on your lower back and bending you over the counter. "Did my 'fuck-me' eyes make you do this?"
"Shut up."
Maybe Ian was right, you two are attached at the hip.

you’re nestled in lip’s arms, high up on his rickety top bunk. somewhere between finishing your nails and kissing until you could barely breathe, you had fallen asleep right against his chest.
you stirred now, your cozy world interrupted a squeaky little voice. “are you in love with her?” debbie questions.
lip shushes his sister, “be quiet, she’s sleeping.”
you were wide awake now, but much too comfortable to move and make that little fact known. plus, you wanted to hear his answer.
“i asked you a question dummy. are you in love with her?”
lip stutters, “i-i dunno. i really like her, okay?”
you’re satisfied with that answer. “in love” was a little too much too quick. but “really like” was something that made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
“what d’ya like about her?” ian presses.
you can practically hear the gears turning in lip’s head as his siblings impatiently await a response.
“she’s- i dunno, she’s pretty?” lip replies. you hold back a scowl, annoyed at him for not having a better answer.
“yeah, great rack,” debbie comments.
“jesus, deb!” lip’s head falls back in frustration, one hand coming to cradle your head as not to wake you with the sudden motion.
“cut the shit lip,” ian interrupts. “tell us what you really think.”
you hold your breath as you wait for his response. his lips brush your hairline before he sighs. “she’s sweet, yeah? real kind.”
“a real woman of the people,” ian snorts, “princess diana type.” then “ow!” as you hear debbie shove him.
“and- and she’s real smart, too,” lip continues. “really, really fuckin’ smart. an’ she works hard. she just tires herself out sometimes.”
he strokes your hair gently, pressing a few more fleeting kisses to your forehead.
“you’re so whipped.”
you hear debbie shove her brother again, and this time ian fights back, the two making a ruckus as they push each other back and forth.
“come on guys, out. now.” lip orders his siblings around with that same stern voice you’ve heard plenty of times before.
debbie pouts. “but-“
“no buts. go on, she’s fuckin’ sleepin’ in here an’ you’re gonna wake her up. fuck off.”
“we were just-“
“fuck. off.”
“jesus,” you can practically hear ian roll his eyes. “alright, alright. we’re going.”
debbie yells for fiona as the two shuffle out of the room, not bothering to close the door behind them.
you smirk to yourself as lip groans above you, showing your cards. “you’re awake?”
you peer up at him through your lashes, a smirk planted on your lips that he’s just dying to kiss off. “can’t believe your little sister said i have a great rack,” you whisper.
lip laughs, loud and genuine. “yeah, she’s been stuffing fi’s old training bras. growin’ up an’ shit. i don’t like it.”
you’re quiet for a moment, admiring him. you know how important those kids are to him. he’d do just about anything for them, including the minor crimes you find him tangled up in on a weekly basis. he loves them like they’re his own kids, which honestly they kind of are. they may shove each other around, curse each other out, yell and scream at the top of their lungs, but at the end of the day lip has been more of a father to his siblings than frank ever was.
“you really meant all that?” you ask.
lip looks down at you, his blue eyes soft in the dim light. “yeah. yeah, i did. meant every word.”
you smile, leaning up to place a solid kiss on his lips. “for what it’s worth,” you murmur, “i really like you too.”

Shes like the designated driver caregiver and the gallaghers love her because after parties they all magically wake up in their beds and lip just really values her more than life, like hes so in love its insane
A million times yes to this!! I love the idea of soft!Lip. Hope you love it!!

Soft 4 You
Lip Gallagher x reader
A/N: This is told from Lip's perspective which I think just lets us get into his head and how he feels about you. If you see any mistakes, no you didn't.
~~~
Summer in the Southside means two things - sweating your ass off during the day and partying until you black out at night. For Lip, the getting drunk off of your ass was all part of the fun, especially when he knew you were around to make sure he got home safely.
The events of last night quickly fade away as the sunshine peeks through the makeshift curtain pinned to the wall. The whipping sound from the fan turns into a high pitch ring causing Lip to groan. His heartbeat pounding right behind his eyes as the beginning of a headache settles in.
The feeling of his brain wanting to burst out of his skull makes him grab his pillow, placing it over his face, half covering himself from the sun and the other half suggesting that maybe death is a better way to deal with this hangover. His arm stretches out to feel around the bed, but it's empty, the presence of you long gone on this painful morning, if you could still call it morning.
Pushing on the pillow more, the pressure lightly helping with the deadly headache. Squeezing his eyes tighter as the image of you begins to form inside his eyelids. Your smile, your voice, your laughter dancing around Lip’s head, the only solace from the raging migraine.
He wants to live inside his mind forever. The memories playfully swirl through his head as a warm, fuzzy feeling brews inside his chest. His heart beats faster just by thinking of you, the way you brighten a room, how you carry yourself, selflessly putting others before you. Caring for his siblings as if they are your own, stepping up to take the responsibility of the household on your shoulders.
Since Lip met you, he has promised himself that he will become a better man for you. Become the partner that you deserve, striving everyday to do so. Lip wants you to have the world, hoping one day he can be the one to give it to you.
Lip is so helplessly in love with you that he definitely doesn’t mind the fall.
The cotton mouth is too much to handle as he just lays there in his own sweat. He thinks if he waits here long enough that at some point you will show up, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead, fingers rubbing over his chest, your sweet scent engulfing his nose. But sadly he can’t wait that long.
Groaning as he lifts himself onto his elbows, blinking a couple of times as his surroundings become clear, the headache throbbing more with every move. His eyes trailing along the room before seeing the tall glass of water that sits on the dresser. Smacking his lips a couple of times as he wants nothing more than to drink something.
Pushing himself up, a small puddle of sweat lay underneath as he scoots to the edge, the bedsheet sticking to his legs as he fumbles to stand up. Using the dresser as leverage so he doesn’t fall.
The faint hint of a smile appears as he comes face to face with the water and next to it, two Advil and a little note that says ‘take these’ signed with a heart in the corner and your initial. His heart skips a beat as his fingers trace over your delicate handwriting. Barely being able to think straight because of the hangover and now you got his mind racing a million miles an hour with your love.
Quickly raking a hand through his hair before swallowing the pills and chugging the water. Closing his eyes to allow the medicine to relieve some of his pain, knowing it will take longer than a couple of seconds.
Tripping over himself as he pulls on a pair of jeans. Leaving his room to wobble down the hallway and descend down the stairs to the kitchen. The sound of chatter and laughter fill Lip’s head, wishing the happy sounds weren’t causing his head to pound more. Finally stopping on the bottom step as he observes the scene in front of him.
Deb’s and Carl’s laughter fill the small room as you are telling a funny story. Your voice erupts louder as the punchline comes, sending them into fits of laughter. Their faces tell how much they enjoy having you around, the way you bring a sort of calmness to the house. Turning it into a home.
The kitchen is a bit of a mess as the grand breakfast you made - pancakes, eggs, bacon - sits on top of the stove. The dining table is messy as Lip can tell you just finished eating. Taking your time with his siblings to bond with them and get to know them on a deeper level.
He couldn’t love you any more than in this exact moment. Without you knowing he was around.
Lip gets pulled from his thoughts when Ian comes racing down the stairs behind him, patting Lip on the shoulder while he passes by. Prompting you to turn towards them both, a huge smile forming on your face, the kind where your eyes grow smaller and your cheeks grow bigger.
And God did that damn smile light a fire inside of him that he will let burn forever.
starving — lip gallagher x reader
☄. *. ⋆
content warnings and genre: swearing, cunnilingus, face-sitting, nose-sitting, dirty talk, spanking — smut
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
synopsis: he's got the biggest, most appealing nose you've ever seen. all you wanna do it feel it inside you.
✧.*
lip gallagher loved eating you out—more than anything. he loved the sight of your pretty, sopping pussy catching the light in the rays of light that peaked through his bedroom curtains. he loved inhaling your sweet, intoxicating scent of arousal. he loved the glacé, delicious taste of your juices that flooded his tongue. most of all, he way your body trembled beneath his touch—how your thighs shook as he groped your ass, spreading your cunt apart to devour you the right way. or when he'd crawl in between your legs, legs shakily wrapped around his neck while you tugged at his locks. it was insatiable—he couldn't get enough of you.
on this particular day, you had chosen to do something different, something more vulnerable and compromising. he knew you loved his nose—the shape, the sheer volume and size—so when he called you into his room, you didn't know what to expect.
“i wanna try something with you,” you raised an eyebrow at his statement, curiosity awakening. “you've always had a thing for my nose, am i right?”
your cheeks flushed at the brutally honest question. of course, there wasn't a single gram of dishonesty in his inquiry—the both of you knew all too well what the answer was. you shrugged, almost casually. “i mean, yeah. you've got a pretty nose, lip.” he smirked at the answer, as if he was pleased with it.
“how would you feel about sitting on it?”
there was no rational way for you to react. the question made you shiver, his words shooting straight to your core. you scoffed, breaking into a nervous laugh. “that's ridiculous, lip.” he gave you a look, as if he was telling you he wasn't buying your act.
“is that how we're gonna play?” he fixed his posture, leaning forward as he straightened his back, sitting on the bed, just a few feet away from you. “gonna act like you don't want it as much as i do?” he could see right through your act, a malevolent smirk playing on his face. he analyzed the way your walls crumbled, the way you squeezed your thighs for an ounce of friction. he leaned back, propping his elbows against the back of his neck, using two fingers to motion you over.
while hesitant, you knew you couldn't resist him. his smile only widened when you crawled over to him, straddling his hips before pressing your lips to his. the world seemed to fade away as your fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer. his arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you even tighter against him. the softness of his lips against yours sent shivers down your spine, and you felt the heat between you intensify with each fleeting moment. as the kiss deepened, the world around you ceased to exist, leaving only the two of you lost in the enchantment of the moment.
“panties, babygirl,” he muttered under his breath. he licked a long stripe along your neck with his tongue. you let out a soft gasp as you obliged, hastily pulling down your shorts and panties, leaving your cunt bare as the cool air sent tingles down your spine. “just like that, keep going.” you followed his directions, tossing your panties aside.
you melted into his touch, bare cunt grinding against his clothed boner. he let out a soft grunt, hands gripping your ass, pulling your cheeks apart as he pressed you further into his boner. with a free hand, he tugged his shorts off, proceeding in nothing but his boxers.
“c'mere, baby,” he cooed, motioning you to position yourself above his face. you grew more shy by the second, but you listened to him, holding onto the headboard in order to hover above his face. “look at my girl, dripping all over my face already.” you whined, knowing there was some truth to his statement—you were wet and it was an understatement, slick dripping down your thighs, drops forming and threatening to spill onto his face.
lip was a dedicated boyfriend, and he knew just how to please you. that was precisely why he wasted no time, hands wrapped around the back of your thighs to slam you onto his face, your arousal practically drenching him. you moaned out his name, a string of curses passing your swollen lips as he went to work, tongue pushing past your cunt. he lapped at your juices, tongue wrapping around your clit as he gave it a few aggressive sucks. his tongue was way past your entrance, lapping at your tight walls, sucking at your sensitive bundle of nerves. “lip, fuck—too fucking much,” your moans only encouraged him, your eyes locking as he swirled his tongue around. that wasn't the end, though. it was only the beginning.
when he grabbed onto your hips to lift you up, you were taken aback, but the shock didn't last long. he slammed you right onto his nose, hips holding you in place as he began to bounce you—up and down, up and down. your cries of ecstasy were like music to his ears, his nose acting as your own personal sex toy. it didn't go deep, but it pushed well past your entrance, the width caressing your inner walls. he brought you back up, nose pressing harshly into your clit as he inhaled your sweet slick, right before he began to bounce you once more.
“you like it, don't you? using my nose to get yourself off?” his words were hard to make out, but you understood him. at a certain point, you didn't need him doing all the work anymore—you found yourself bouncing willingly, your orgasm creeping up on you as he groped your ass, leaving definite bruises. “so good lip, 'm so close,” you cried out, your bounces growing quicker and more aggressive as you found yourself grinding onto his nose, loving the way it made you feel.
when he stuck his tongue out, the pleasure only doubled. the strong, wet muscle gave him leverage as much as it gave you pleasure—you swore you could see stars. you pushed harder against his face, his tongue caressing your outer bits while his nose did all the inside work. when you came, you did it was a sob, fingers grabbing onto his hair for dear life, pushing him even deeper into your wet cunt. he groaned from beneath you, lapping up all the wetness you had to offer him as you rode out your orgasm.
you were a fool for thinking this would be the last time.
The pounding on the door never went away, despite Lip ignoring it for about five minutes now. If he didn’t do something about it soon, everyone in the house would wake up and he’d have a bigger problem to deal with.
He sits up from his lying position and stands up from the couch, making his way towards the front door with an irritated look on his face. Swinging the door open, he was met with the annoyed faces of your friends, Daneel and Marissa. “Fucking finally,” Marissa muttered and it was then when Lip noticed your slouched form. Your arms were draped over your friends’ shoulders as you struggled to stand up properly. “Ever heard of opening a door?”
“I just did,” he replied and narrowed his eyes at the way they were both doing a piss poor job at keeping you upright. “What’s wrong with her?” He tried to hide his concern, but there was no denying that he was more than a bit worried at the state you were currently in.
“She can’t handle alcohol to save her life,” Daneel grunted as she pushed your arm off her. “That’s what’s wrong with her.”
Lip glared at her as he instinctively reached out to grab your wrist before you were sent stumbling back. “How much has she had to drink?”
“Not a fucking clue,” Marissa laughed as she pushed you into the arms of your ex-boyfriend. “I lost count after her third beer.”
“Fuck,” he muttered as he held your nearly limp body against his chest with one hand. The other one reached up to brush away the messy strands of hair from your face, and his gaze softened at the sad expression you wore as you refused to meet his eyes. He looked back over at your friends and furrowed his brows when he saw that they were halfway down the stairs. “Hey, where the hell are you two going?”
“Back to the bar,” Daneel called back. “We just wanted to make sure Boozie over here got home safely.”
“Yeah, but this isn’t her house,” he pointed out, but his words didn’t seem to affect the two girls.
“Right, you guys broke up, didn’t you?” Marissa laughed quietly and gave Daneel a shrug. “Maybe that’s why she was so depressed tonight.”
They both laughed at that before waving at Lip and walking down the street.
“Fuck’s sake,” he muttered as he wrapped your arm around his shoulder and guided you inside. He sat you down on the couch where he previously was, before heading back towards the door and peeking out at the retreating forms of your friends. He scoffed and flipped them off before shutting the door loudly. He usually didn’t bother with locking it when it was just him and his family there, but since you were only a few feet away from him and drunk, he found himself twisting the lock.
Back in the living room, Lip finds your shivering form still on the couch. He noticed the way your arms were wrapped around yourself in an attempt to warm yourself up, so he took it upon himself to grab a blanket from off a pile of magazines that was near the window.
He draped it across your shoulders and watched as you gave him a drunken, grateful smile, before he sat down next to you. He tried not to think about the last time he was on the couch with you, back when the two of you broke up and you left the house in tears. It was hard to think that the time before that was when he had the house to himself for once and fucked you into the very cushions you were sitting on.
Lip had to hold back a groan at the memory of it. You were drunk and very clearly upset, and he needed to be there for you, despite it being just over a week and a half since you broke up.
“Thanks,” you murmur softly as you bury yourself in the blanket. As you inhaled the scent that was the Gallagher’s, your brows furrowed and your eyes closed a bit more. “Wait, why am I here?”
Lip shook his head and leaned back on the couch, his elbow pressing into the armrest as he huffed, “Because your so called friends are fucking idiots,” he muttered and turned his head to look at you. “I’ve told you that before, I don’t know why you hang out with them.”
You refuse to meet his eyes as you give him a pathetic shrug. “Because they’re my friends,” you offer weakly and don’t have to look at him to know he was rolling his eyes.
“Friends don’t pull the kind of shit that they just did,” he mumbled and desperately wanted to light a cigarette right now, but he didn’t want to leave you unattended. “Fuck, I mean…we’re fucking friends, and I wouldn’t do that to you. I wouldn’t leave you.”
Lip wasn’t actually sure where he stood with you. You were exes, sure, but friends? He had no clue if you were even friends at this point, but the whole relationship had originally started out as a friendship, so it wasn’t like you two couldn’t go back to that, no matter how much he hated the thought of just being your friend.
“I was ruining their night,” you weakly tried defending your friends while also calling yourself out.
Lip scoffed. “They told you that?”
You shake your head and inch closer to him, your body beginning to feel weak with fatigue. “They didn’t have to,” you mumbled. “I could tell I was being a wallflower, and they shouldn’t have to babysit me all night long just because I can’t get my shit together.”
He shook his head at your words. You were always one to defend the fucking idiots in your life, himself included whenever you stuck your neck out for him when you were still together. He tried to ignore the way you leaned even closer to him and was barely able to keep yourself upright. “They shouldn’t have invited you out in the first place when they knew you weren’t in the right state of mind to drink as much as you did,” he said, before quickly adding. “Which was fucking dumb, by the way. What were you thinking? You can barely handle one beer, let alone three.”
You look down at his lap, embarrassment washing over you at his tone. You felt like he was your parent and lecturing you about sticking to your limit when out at the bar, but he really wasn’t much better. “I was thinking about you,” you mutter and see his head turn to face you out of the corner of your eye. “I’m always thinking about you, and for one night, just one fucking night, I wanted to forget. I want to forget you.”
Lip felt his heart deflate a bit at that, but he knew you were completely wasted, and he held onto that fact. There was no way you meant that, right? You had been together for nearly two years before calling it quits, and he’d hate to think he hurt you so much that you were beginning to regret getting with him in the first place.
He wasn’t able to wallow in self pity for much longer, as you continued before he could even think about how to respond to that, “I still want you, still love you and I wish I never met you,”
Your words caught him off guard, and he really wanted that cigarette now.
He looked over at you and felt his shoulders tense up at the sad expression you wore. You weren’t making any sense, and he could only hope you would feel up to talk to him about this in the morning, when you were sober.
For a minute, Lip let himself go back to when you were both so happy and together. He found himself getting lost in how it felt to be so close to you again, and how much he missed being around you, how much he missed you. “You should get some sleep, baby,” the name slipped past his lips before he could even stop himself, so used to calling you that, but you didn’t seem to mind as you just nodded. “You’re going to feel fucked up tomorrow.”
You closed your eyes and leaned towards him. He was about to stand up so you could lay down properly on the couch, but stopped when you blindly reached out to push him back down. When he is sitting down again, you wrap the blanket further around you before laying your head down on his thigh and using it as a pillow.
Lip couldn’t move now even if he wanted to, and he really didn’t, as you fell asleep almost instantly. He sighed as he ran his fingers through your hair and glanced at the clock. The time read 2:35 in the morning, and he wondered just how much of this you would remember when you woke up in a few hours.
-
He woke up the next morning when Fiona had made her way down the stairs, her being the first of many Gallagher’s to wake up. He lifted his head up from where it had tilted back against the top of the couch sometime last night when he fell asleep, and groaned quietly at the stiff muscles in his neck.
As his older sister passed by the door frame, she stopped and backtracked when she caught sight of you with your head still resting on his thigh, and your arm draped over his knee. She furrowed her brows as she mouthed, “Are you back together?”
Lip shook his head and watched the glimmer of hope fade from her face as the sound of Ian bounding down the stairs was heard throughout the house. “Oh, shit,” he said in surprise when he, too, saw you on the couch. “Are you guys back together?”
Fiona answered for her brother, “No, they’re not,”
Ian looked confused as he asked, “Then why is she sleeping on you?”
“Her fuckhead friends dropped her off here last night,” Lip said and looked down at you, the movement making his neck ache but he didn’t mind it as he caught sight of the way your lashes fluttered against your cheek. “Apparently she ruined their fun by drinking too much.”
Fiona cringed as she grabbed a mug. “Poor girl,”
Debbie was next to walk down the stairs, and her loud morning voice was what woke you up. Lip’s thigh was sore as you slowly lifted your head from it, and he decided that he liked it when you fell asleep on his chest a lot better.
Your eyes are barely open as you sit up and immediately cover your ears when Debbie notices you. “Is that Y/n?!” She asked excitedly and ran over to you. You had no time to process anything as she threw herself at you in an embrace.
“Hi, Debs,” you mutter, clearly confused as you hardly return the hug before she pulls away.
“Knock it off,” Lip says as he tugs his sister away from you, knowing that you weren’t at all a morning person and were probably refraining from going off on the kid for waking you up.
“Yeah, Deb, lay off the sugar before bed,” Fiona says sternly as she hands you a mug. You take it from her and sip the coffee, grunting in disgust when you were met with a bitter taste. “Black coffee is the best way to reduce a hangover. Take it from me.”
You slouch back against the couch as you hold the mug with both hands, still in the process of waking up. Glancing to your right, you notice Lip still sitting next to you. “What happened last night?” You ask as you try to recall how exactly you ended up on your ex-boyfriend’s couch.
“You got drunk, like, really drunk, and Melissa and Danielle dropped you off here,”
“Melissa and Danielle?” You ask with a furrowed brow before realizing who he was talking about. “Oh, you mean Marissa and Daneel?”
“Same difference,” he muttered just as Carl came flying down the stairs in a mess of limbs.
He reached the bottom and shot up when he walked by the couch. “Oh, hey, Y/n,” he greeted you as if your presence here was a normal thing, and up until almost two weeks ago, it was.
You give him a half-assed wave before closing your eyes tightly and praying that you will survive the pounding in your head.
Fiona must have felt bad for you as she quickly gathered up a few lunch foods before throwing them in a couple of disposable brown bags. “Okay, time to let the drunk girl rest,” she said and guided Ian, Debbie, Carl and Liam towards the front door. “Time to go to school. Lip, I take it you’re staying home to look after her?” She nodded at you and he waved her off as he stood up.
“Yeah, yeah, I got her,” he said and walked into the kitchen.
Soon, the house was empty except for you and Lip, and you cower further into the couch as you listen to him rummage around in the next room. After drinking half of the gross coffee, you felt well enough to sit up properly and shrug the blanket off of you, hating how it smelled like your ex.
You place the mug on the coffee table just as he exits the kitchen with a plate in his hand. He sits next to you again, though a bit further away than before, and holds the plate out to you. “Toast?” You ask as you eye the food, ignoring the flutter in your heart at the fact that he had made you some form of breakfast, despite him not needing to.
“With jam,” he corrected with a quick smile before it was gone and you were shaking your head. “It’s all we have.”
“Thank you,” you take the plate from him and lift the toast up to your mouth, taking the smallest bite possible out of it.
“So,” he starts as you chew the lightly toasted piece of bread, hating that he knew your toast preferences so well. “Do you remember anything from last night?”
You put the toast back onto the plate and think about it for a second, before shaking your head. “Not really,” you answer and set the plate down on your lap. “Why? Did something happen?”
“Yeah,” he said, lifting his hand and massaging the stiffness out of the back of his neck. “Your scummy friends ditched you with me because you got drunk.”
You rolled your eyes and shove the plate back into his hands before grabbing the mug and standing up. “Just because you don’t like them, doesn’t mean they’re scummy,” you mutter and walk into the kitchen, finishing off the coffee and setting the mug down in the sink.
Lip scoffs as he bites into the toast he made for you. “No, them dropping you off at your ex-boyfriends house so they don’t have to keep an eye on you and to go get drunk makes them scummy,” he calls out to you and sets the half eaten toast on the plate, leaving it on the couch as he gets up to go after you. He finds you leaning against the counter, your arms crossed over your chest as you stare at him.
You were still in the black dress you wore to the bar last night, and he was pretty sure that it was his favorite one, as he recalls complimenting you every time you wore it out with him. “They’re not so bad,” you say quietly, and Lip was about done with hearing you defend the people who abandoned you.
“They’re the fucking worst,” he said, fed up. “I asked you this before, and even though you didn’t give me a decent answer then, I’m going to ask you again. Why the fuck do you continue to hang out with them?”
You shrug pathetically as you avoid eye contact with him. “Because they’re all I have,”
Lip shakes his head at that, not happy with your answer at all as he leaned against the fridge across from where you were. “That’s bullshit,” he grunted. “You had me, you still have me. Why do you let them treat you like that? In all the years I’ve known you, you’ve always let people walk all over you. Then you get pissed off with me when I call you out on it. Why?”
“It was too much,” you mumble and shake your head, crossing your arms tighter. “It felt so right with you, too right. You made this fucked up place seem. You, Fi, fuck, even Carl. You guys are a real family who look out for each other. I never had that, never felt like I deserved it. You know where I came from and what my life was like before I met you. That’s what I deserve, not this. Not you.”
Lip had never heard such nonsense in all his life. He had never heard you talk like that about yourself, and he quickly decided he didn’t like it. “You think you deserve to go back to that life? To how things were before I took you away from all that shit? You don’t,” he crossed his own arms, mirroring your stance as you lifted your head to meet his eyes. “You’re smart, but you’re also fucking dumb if you think I’m going to allow you to go back to that part of your life.”
You tried not to let his words affect you, but you couldn’t ignore the way your heart skipped a beat at how much he still clearly cared for you. “It’s not up to you,”
“Damn it, Y/n,” he ran his hand through his hair, frustrated at you now. “Why can’t you see yourself in the way that everyone else does? Daneel or Danielle or whoever the fuck she is dosn’t give a shit about you, and you shouldn’t give a shit about her, either.”
You knew he was right, you knew that Daneel and Marissa were the definition of fake friends, but you didn’t have much experience around those who cared for you. Between your friends, parents and your siblings, none of them treated you like how Lip and his family did. Could you really be blamed for believing that you weren’t worthy of him? “They’re all I have-”
“They’re not, baby,” he slipped up and called you by the name once again, but didn’t bother correcting himself as he stepped forward and grabbed your right hand in both of his. “They’re not and you know it. You have me, and my own fucked up family. You have us. You and me.”
You felt shy suddenly as you asked, “Still?” He places your hand flat against his chest so you could feel the steady beat of his heart, something that calms you down as you clarify your question. “I still have you?”
“Yes,’’ he answered and you don’t bother holding back a sigh of relief. “You still have me.”
“I’m sorry,” you nearly whispered, despite the two of you being the only ones in the house. “I missed you.”
“I missed you,” he said back, moving forward to press his forehead against yours. “Fuck, breaking up was the stupidest thing we’ve ever done.”
You hum in agreement as you bring your other hand up to rest against his chest while his reach down to grip your waist. “You regret it?”
“Are you kidding?” He scoffed before pressing a quick kiss to the skin of your neck. “I haven’t been able to sleep without you, that’s why I was on the couch last night before you even got here.”
Your face heats up at that, as well at the feeling of his lips on your skin. “Really?”
Lip hummed as his forehead returned to yours.
“Well,” you trailed off as you slid your hands up his chest and set them on the back of his neck, your fingers tangling in his hair. “We might have to do something about that. When was the last time you slept for more than a few hours?”
“When did we break up?”
“A week and a half ago,”
“About a week and a half ago,” he answered and you grinned for a second before he was closing the distance between you, pressing his lips to yours for the first time in nearly two weeks.
Unlucky | Lip Gallagher
Tumblr media
Summary: Lip Gallagher has a shitty life, but he still has a chance of a happy future with you. [2.4k]
Fluff, comfort, slight angst, insecure Lip
Lip Gallagher has always considered himself unlucky for as long as he could remember. If you asked him to describe his life in three words he’d use shitty, shitty, and extremely shitty.
He was dealt a crappy hand since the beginning not standing a fighting chance even as a kid.
There was always so much crap to deal with, whether it was bills that needed to be paid, kids that need to be taken care of, or anything dealing with Frank and Monica, sometimes he felt as if the weight of the world was resting on his chest and the only breath he’d be able to take peacefully would be his final one. He’s grateful for all the help he has because everyone pulls their weight as much as they can, but sometimes he just wishes life was just a little bit kinder to him. He wishes that he was able to do something with his high IQ, make something of himself and finally get out of this hell hole, but that didn’t roll over so well. But just as he was slowly losing hope the universe finally took pity on him and gave him you, so now he’s hanging onto you with everything he’s got.
_
It’s quiet in the Gallagher household when Lip shuffles out of bed. He can’t remember the last time he was able to sleep past 7am, so when he wakes up to birds chirping at 9am instead of the usual yelling and chaos, he’s surprised and even a little scared. He makes his way towards the bathroom getting ready to fight whoever is next in line, but finds it empty and even clean. He’s shuffling around, looking through doors to find a sense of life in his otherwise loud home when he hears a squeal from the backyard. He doesn’t think twice before grabbing a nearby bat and hurtling through the backdoor towards the pool, but he stops once he sees the atmosphere is anything, but fearful. Frannie is being tossed back and forth between Carl and Mickey in the pool, Fiona and Ian are chasing Liam with the garden hose and Debbie is bringing in watered down lemonade from the kitchen.
He has no idea what caused this change of pace, but he isn’t mad about it. Just as he’s about to make himself known, he feels a soft touch caressing his back.
“Hey baby,” you whisper, brushing your lips against his neck.
He turns his head at your sweet voice finally fully awakening his sleepy trance. Lip tugs you towards him by the belt loops of your, too short, cut off shorts and breathes into your neck. Hands slowly creeping down towards your ass to grab and pet, not socially acceptable in front of family, but he couldn’t care less.
“Hi, sweetheart,” he rasps into the valley of your chest, slightly picking you up to hug you closer. “What’s going on out here?”
“Thought everyone could use a day off especially in this heat, so Debs and I planned a pool party. Wanna join me?”
He pulls back on slightly to finally get a look at your face, your eyes are kind and happy followed by a mischievous smile.
“Sure, let me get my trunks on and I’ll be down soon.” You reward him with a soft peck on his chapped lips and an arm squeeze before moving out of his hold and grabbing some leftover toast.
The day goes by without a hitch. Everyone enjoys the much deserved break filled with laughter, junk food, and only a few fights. You’re nearly on top of Lip as you cuddle as close as you can basking in the happiness before you get ready to go out. There are only a handful of days that you and Lip both get off at the same time, so any day given is taken as a golden opportunity to spend some time together, leaving your worries at home. You plant a small peck to Lip’s cheek before untangling yourself from his hold as he answers the ringing phone.
You don’t hear much of the conversation, just faint hmms of acknowledgement as you're flying past rooms trying to get ready as fast as you can. You’re struggling with your heels as Lip comes over and steadies you, your smile meeting with his frown.
“Sweetheart, they called me in to cover someone else’s shift and you know I hate to do this, but they’re offering me time and half..” he trails off.
A quick look of disappointment flashes on your face, before you cover it up with a reassuring look. You’re disappointed, sure, but not at Lip. Never at Lip. Just the shitty circumstances that forces the both of you to work as much as you can just to make ends meet.
“It’s okay, I get it. We can always reschedule, don’t worry about it.” You pull him in and hold on to his waist hoping to ease his guilt, but your efforts go to waste as his eyebrows stay furrowed and his frown deepens.
“I’ll make it up to you, I swear it,” Lip murmurs against your lips before squeezing your arm and letting you go.
You watch him leave, slowly pulling off your heels and plopping yourself on the old couch, sighing already missing Lip. Your eyes shift trying to think of things to do now that your night opened up, but your mind keeps drifting back to Lip. You had eaten dinner earlier with everyone, skipping out on dessert and opting to get your fill when you go out, but now that plans have changed you were now missing both your boyfriend and something sweet to nibble on.
You quickly change out of your clothes and put on a pair of old shorts before deciding to make a batch of brownies. Lip works hard and if you guys couldn’t go out for dessert tonight, then you were going to bring dessert to him.
He’s halfway through his shift when he spots you coming in, hands holding a tupperware to your chest.
“Honey, what are you doing down here,” he shouts from across the room.
“Wanted to spend some time with you before I leave for my shift. I made some brownies since we missed dessert, care to join me?” you plead hopefully.
Lip’s heart aches with love and a lot of guilt. He can’t believe you would go through all that trouble just to see him. He calls out to say he’s taking his break before leading you to a secluded corner.
“I’m really sorry about today,” he hugs you from behind swaying back and forth, mouth opening occasionally as you feed him a chunk of the sweet treat.
You squeeze his wrist in response, “s’lright you can’t help it. I just like spending time with you.”
He smiles softly for the first time that night, stress immediately leaving his body. “Though, I love that you did all this for me, I don’t love the idea that you were walking alone this late at night.”
“Guess I’ll have to keep you company until you can walk me home then,” you compromise.
Lip’s shift goes by somewhat fast now that you’re here to keep him company. He’ll leave his station sporadically to check up on you and to keep you from falling asleep. He’s in the final stretch now, only 30 more minutes before you get to go home and fall asleep holding each other, after a long day. He looks over hoping to catch your eye and send you a smile when he feels his face slowly morphing into a glare. A glare aimed at the guy standing way too close to you, a guy whose intentions go beyond a friendly conversation, and a guy who on paper was everything you deserved, but Lip couldn’t be.
You finally glance at Lip sending a small wave and smile as you keep nodding along to the fucker next to you. He had fluffy brown hair and honestly looked quite plain if it wasn’t for the gleaming rolex on his wrist and the shiny Gucci emblem on his belt. He was a rich kid, probably from the nearby university, wasting away mommy and daddy’s money, chatting up pretty girls and sweeping them off their feet with his money. Lip’s never felt insecure about your relationship, you never gave him a reason too, but once he compares his ratty jeans and stained shirt to the pristine polo of Richie Rich he can’t help but wonder if he’s good enough for you when you can do so much better.
_
Lip was struggling. He never learned how to tie a tie before and now that the time has come, he’s racking his brain trying to get the knot perfect. He knew you couldn’t care less about a stupid tie, you were anything but superficial, but since that dreaded night when he witnessed you being chatted up by Richie Rich, Lip’s come to the conclusion that he was going to try his hardest to give you the perfect life.
When Lip proposed going up to the north side for dinner, you were shocked. You’ve been there a few times mostly on walks or running errands, but you’ve never been there to spend actual money considering neither of you could afford it. The most you and Lip would do is windowshop and daydream about the things you would buy if you had the money, before being chased off by the glaring sales people.
He picks you up at your door, pecking your cheek softly and telling you how beautiful you look. He takes your hand and leads you to the borrowed car before pulling out an expensive bouquet from the backseat. Your hands flatter as you mutter a quiet thanks. You’re a little confused at the grand gesture since Lip’s never gotten you flowers before, at least not without reason. He’s gotten you flowers exactly four times since he’s known you: the first on your first date, the second for your graduation, and the last two times for your anniversary. And all those times the flowers were below 5 bucks, something he picked up from the corner store. But the bouquet he gave you now had to be worth at least a day’s salary, you and Lip had a mutual understanding since the start that since money was scarce you wouldn’t spend it on materialistic things for each other, but lately it seems like he forgot that promise. He’s been taking you out to eat nearly everyday, always putting money down and never letting you pay, surprising you with little gifts, but worst of all he’s been running himself haggard, taking up as many shifts as he possibly could.
He notices your quiet demeanor as he starts driving, “You okay, baby?”
“Yeah, I just…” you hesitate, not wanting to offend him. “I’m grateful for all of this Lip, really I am, I love everything you’ve gotten me, but I’m confused about where you’re getting all the money from and why you’re doing all this in the first place.”
Lip tightens his grip on the wheel, “Isn’t this what you want? Isn’t this what all girls want?” Lip scoffs the memory of Richie Rich slowly coming into picture.
“I don’t understand what changed, everything was fine before, why are you spending money you don’t have? You don’t think I know that you’re working yourself to death trying to afford this shit?” Your voice raises in annoyance.
“Yeah, well that’s my problem, it’s none of your concern how I get all this as long as you get it.”
“It is when you’re burning money on materials that won’t even last the year instead of investing in our future.”
Lip pulls to stop as the words leave your mouth. “Our future?” He asks.
You lick your lips, trying to think of a way to backtrack but his eyes plead with you to tell the truth. “Yeah, our future. You know when we eventually move out, get a place of our own and have a kid or two?”
Lip smiles at the thought, “You want all that with me?”
You nod incredulously, “What did you think this was you idiot? That we were just playing boyfriend/girlfriend? Look I appreciate all these gestures, but the way I see it you’re burning 50 bucks on flowers that are gonna wither in a week instead of spending that money on something like our future house.”
Lip cups your chin in endearment before pulling you in for a quick kiss. “I’m sorry, I let everything get away from me.” He huffs in frustration before letting your chin go and clenching his fists. “It’s just when you visited me at work a few weeks back you were talking to this guy. This very rich guy who… I don’t know… I know you aren’t like that, but I couldn’t help but think this is all I’ll be able to offer you, at least right now. I will never be able to whisk you away on a private jet or buy diamonds just cause.”
You giggle as you hold his face in your soft hands, his head tilting to lean into your palm. “Lip Gallager, for someone with an insanely high IQ, you are so incredibly stupid, ” He huffs out a laugh in embarrassment as you continue, “That guy, that fool was annoying as fuck. I was just trying to get him off my back. And not to mention incredibly fucking stupid. Everything that was coming out of his mouth made me cringe and thank the stars that you’re nothing like him.”
He kisses your palm before pulling you into another kiss. “Can we skip the fancy restaurant now?” you ask as he presses kisses to your pouty lips.
“Where do you wanna go instead?”
“Family dinner, and then out for ice cream?” you suggest. He nods before putting the car back in drive.
_
Lip Gallagher was all sorts of fucked up. But somehow in his fucked up life, he managed to find you, his light at the end of a dark, narrow, and gloomy tunnel and he thinks, maybe, he isn’t so unlucky after all.
You’re tired, unbelievably so. You can’t fathom being in this class for another minute. When you slowly direct your gaze to the clock on the wall, you thank whatever higher power is at work that you only have a few minutes before the class ends.
The professor can barely bid his farewells before you’re out the door. You don’t remember ever moving so fast, but you can’t wait to be in the comfort and safety of your room.
Walking to your destination, you notice how heavy your body feels. It seems like you’re carrying double your weight as you drag yourself. The only thing getting you through is knowing that soon enough, you’ll be able to toss your books aside and rid yourself of the clothes that feel far too tight and warm and-
You groan, suddenly feeling oh so overwhelmed. Once you reach your shared campus apartment, you can’t help sighing in relief. The tension almost dissipates as you rummage through your bag for your key, letting yourself in. What greets you, however, is nothing short of comforting. Your roommate is currently on the couch, looking like they’re about two kisses away from having sex.
Your annoyed sigh catches their attention, and they separate from their partner long enough to send you a sheepish smile. “Sorry, I thought I texted.” The person underneath whispers something in their ear. You barely hide your disgust when your roommate giggles. “We’ll be quiet.”
You must look skeptical - as you should, taking into consideration the many times when they have, in fact, not been quiet - because your roommate lifts their pinky, “Promise.”
You ignore how they barely wait for you to take your leave before starting back again. Your only focus is quickly entering your room and stripping yourself of those ultra-suffocating clothes. You let out a breath of air, inhaling and exhaling and exhaling and inhaling.
Burying yourself in your blankets, you lay your head on your pillows and feel yourself start to drift off. The day’s stress fades as you close your eyes, welcoming sleep.
And you do just that until a loud thump wakes you from your daze. You go on high alert, thinking something is awry. Only when you hear moaning do you pinpoint the disruption.
That fucking liar, you silently seethe, attempting to block the increasingly loud moans from reaching your ears. Of course, they weren’t going to be quiet. It was like they had no sense of privacy or respect, for that matter.
Based on previous experience, you knew that sleep stood no chance against the literal bumping and grinding of your roommate and their partner right outside your room. With a frustrated sigh, you pull yourself out of bed, slipping on a hoodie and sweatpants. At least these clothes don’t feel so suffocating.
You move around your room in the dark to find your shoes. You weren’t sure where you’d kicked them when you came home, hazardously tossing your clothes off so you could dive into bed. You think about turning the light on, but considering the headache begging for stimulus, you decide against it.
You finally come across a pair of shoes - well, correction: slippers. Better than nothing, you think as you slide your feet inside. You bring your hood down over your head, practically shielding your face before leaving your room.
The sounds are even louder as you walk past the couch, and you mentally note to rearrange the living room the next time you don’t feel like shit.
You practically stomp over to the door, not even caring to be quiet. If your roommate doesn’t give a flying fuck, neither do you. They pause long enough for your roommate to apologize with what you know is another sheepish smile.
“Whatever,” you roll your eyes as you open the door, “fuck both of you.”
You close the door behind you and almost laugh when you remember they were doing just that. You’re not sure which is worse: staying in the apartment with your roommate being extremely loud or having nowhere to go. You think about it for a second when you realize that both are equally as bad.
You’re about to start stressing again when you think of something, someone else. As you meander through the apartment hallways, grimacing at every loud noise you encounter, you flip out your phone and text the one person you know won’t disrespect your privacy like your roommate.
hey, can i come over?
The elevator dings, and you pocket your phone, boarding the chute. You grimace at the bright lights and the loud chattering of the two people in the corner. While you realize they don’t mean to be so obnoxious, you sigh heavily, waiting to reach your desired floor.
Just when you think you’ll combust if you hear one more hyena-like laugh, the elevator dings again, and when you sigh this time, it’s in relief.
Your phone vibrates in your pocket, and you check it as you step off, beginning your walk down the hall.
aww, u missed me, didn’t u?
Your eyes roll as a smile tugs at your lips. You’re about to respond when another text comes through.
come on over since u just can’t live without me
The cocky bastard, you muse, not bothering to text back when you approach the door you’ve been desperately waiting to see. You go to knock when the door opens, and you perk up a bit, only to frown when you notice it’s not the person you came to bother.
Tyler, you think that’s his name, grins at you and opens the door wider for you to step inside. “Hey, Lip, your girlfriend’s here.”
Lip emerges and greets you with a sly smirk. “That was quick. Bet you were racing to get here.”
Upon seeing your favorite cocky asshole, you feel your stress relieving. With a scoff and roll of your eyes, you deny the accusation. “One, I wasn’t racing. And two, I think we both know who can’t live without who here, and just a hint: it’s not me.”
Lip bites back a laugh, dipping his fingers into the waistband of your sweatpants as he brings you closer. His lips are pressed against yours before you even register him leaning in. When you do, he’s pulling away, leaving you chasing after him.
The brunet laughs then, “What was that again, babe? Something about you being able to live without me?”
You huff, the corners of your mouth tilt down, and your brows crease. It was such a Lip thing to rub it in your face. If the roles were reversed, you know for a fact Lip would be all over you.
“C’mere, you baby.” Lip pulls you closer to him, smirking as he kisses you again. You press into him, sighing softly against his mouth. It seemed like with each kiss, your stress was slowly melting away.
You felt the brunet’s exploratory hands caressing the skin beneath your waistband. Before they can reach any further, a laugh comes from behind you. “Aren’t you two just so cute?”
Shit, you flush with embarrassment. So caught up with him, you forgot Tyler there by the door. You go to move away from the brunet, but he holds you still, one hand cradling your head and the other raising his middle finger to his friend.
It’s a simple ‘fuck you’ that only sends the other male into boisterous laughter.
“Okay, okay,” Tyler snickers, “I’m going.” The door opens once more, and right before it closes, Tyler calls over his shoulder, “Don’t have too much fun, kiddos.”
If you think you were embarrassed before, it doesn’t surpass now as you finally separate from him, face burning as you plant it on his chest.
You feel the brunet’s chest rumbling as he attempts to contain his laughter. “C’mon, let’s go to my room before Tyler starts creeping on us.”
You follow behind him like a lost puppy, allowing him to pull you along. You don’t realize your eyes are closed until you fall on his bed. Shooting a glare at the brunet, you right yourself on the bed.
His response is a cocky grin, and if you weren’t feeling like crap, you might rip him a new one. Instead, you roll your eyes, laying back on the pillows.
“So, what’s got you in such a pissy mood?” You hear shuffling next to you and direct your gaze to the brunet, who is pulling his tee over his head. As shitty as you feel, you allow yourself to keep your eyes on how his muscles shift and contract.
“My eyes are up here, baby,” You can hear his sarcastic tone, and you slowly drag your attention away from his chest and arms to his face.
“I know. I guess you can say I was,” you pause, pretending to look for the correct word, “admiring the view.”
You hear the bed creak before you feel it dip as Lip hovers above you, a smirk tugging at his lips. “You mean you’re having a bad day because you want my dick? Aw, princess, you could’ve just said so. I’m more than happy to help.”
“Fuck you, Gallagher.” You try to sound annoyed, but your breath of laughter betrays you. “And I’m having a shitty day because I’m tired as shit, and my roommate is fucking.” Lip looks confused, so you clarify. “Like actually fucking, which sucks ass. So I’m here because I need some TLC.”
“Thick Long Cock?”
A laugh rips through your chest as you push the brunet away. “You’re fucking awful. You know damn well I meant Tender Love and Care, not fucking Thick Long-” You can’t even finish your sentence through your laughter.
When you’ve calmed down, you look up to see him staring down at you with a genuine smile, not a smirk or a grin. The quickening pitter-patter of your heart is interrupted when the brunet leans down to peck at your lips. “Got you to laugh, didn’t I?”
The sneaky bastard. You shake your head, unable to hide your simpering grin. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you pull him down for another kiss. Then another. And another. And just once more.
You’re satisfied now, and you let him know just that. Though, just because you are doesn’t mean he is. The next thing you know, your face and neck are peppered with kisses that have you squirming away.
“Lip…” you groan as his kisses become more frequent and sensual. He pulls back only to look down at you with that motherfucking cocky smirk you’ve come to love and hate.
“Thought you wanted some TLC?”
“You’re the most awful person I’ve ever known,” you sigh, pretending to be annoyed. Lip could read right through your facade.
One hand slides under your hoodie, prompting goosebumps despite the warmth, as the other holds him up. Lip’s fingers trailed up to your breast, but he paused. “This okay?” He asks, stroking the skin just below.
You’re sure he can hear the quickening beat of your heart as you nod, “Yeah, yeah, it’s okay.”
“Just my luck then, huh?” is asked as his hand encompasses your breast, eliciting a shaky breath from you when he presses against your nipple. He squeezes and palms and pinches and pulls, alternating from breast to breast until you’re moaning soft and quiet, digging your teeth into your bottom lip.
When you had come over, you hadn’t been expecting this. But you can’t complain. And as much as it would stroke the brunet’s already enormous ego, you can’t deny that Lip’s fingers are incredibly skilled.
Your hoodie is pulled higher, so you lift yourself to help him remove it. If he was giving you the front-row seat to his show, the least you could be is a pliant audience member. You’ve barely closed your eyes, laying your head on the pillow, when he licks at your nipples. The cold air and his earlier ministrations have increased your sensitivity, and you can’t stop a choked whimper from escaping.
“Fuck, Lip!” His teeth scrape against the hardening buds, and you can’t remember why you were so on edge earlier.
A breath of laughter sounds above you, prompting your eyes to flutter open. “Feels good?” If your brain wasn’t so muddled by the pleasure he gave you, you might ask why he asks questions he already knows the answers to.
Instead, you add fuel to the fire, maintaining eye contact as you look at him through your lashes, “Yeah, it feels good.”
A slight dimple appears as he grins, “You know, you’re kinda hot when you get confident like that.”
During the pause in pleasure, your brain clears some, and you raise a questioning brow. “Kinda?”
Lip corrects himself, “No, not kinda. I mean, so fucking hot that it gets my dick all hard.”
Your eyes widen at his vulgar choice of words. It takes a second to regain your composure, “Screw you.”
“I’d like to screw you more, princess.” Lip says as he adjusts to sit on his knees, still hovering above you. His hands find themselves home on your thighs, “So, how about you let me give you some more stress relief?”
An ear splitting noise startled me awake. I shot up, my eyes flinging open, only to discover that my bedroom was completely dark.
Was that my alarm?
No, there is no way in hell it was eight in the morning already.
I groaned in frustration and reached for my bedside table. As my eyes adjusted, I ran my palm along the smooth wood, my bedroom gradually coming into view. Unfortunately, my vision was not properly adjusted to perceive the small black box. My hand pushed a mysterious object, and a soft thud echoed.
“Shit!”
I exclaimed. I threw my torso off the bed and inspected the carpeted floor for my phone.
Whoever was calling me at this hour was gonna get it.
When I realized I didn't have much time before the call went to voicemail, I quickened my pace, grunting from the unexpected effort.
“Yes!”
The artificial glow burned into my retinas as I flipped the phone over to expose the screen. I was forced to squint so I could see who had the audacity to call me at such an inconvenient hour.
I rolled my eyes.
Of fucking course.
With a sour attitude, I accepted the call. I was miffed at Lip for ruining my perfect night of restful sleep.
“What? This better be good Lip, or I’m gonna be really pissed.”
I flopped onto the bed and fixed my gaze on the boring ceiling. On the other end of the line, there was a cacophony of voices and screams. It was so loud that it resembled a roar. To prevent going deaf, I moved the phone a few inches from my ear.
“Heyyyyyy Y/N. How are ya?”
Every syllable lacked clarity. Oh, come on, why did I have to be the one getting booty called tonight? I disregarded his inquiry and instead put forth my own.
“Lip, what time is it?”
I inquired in part to gauge his level of inebriation and in part because I was too sluggish to remove my phone from my ear to check the time.
“Uhhhh- that’s a great question.”
There was rustling from the other end of the line.
“It’s 9 oh 3.”
I cocked a brow.
“You sure about that?”
“Uh-hold on. Gimmie a sec.”
Rustling.
“Do you read from left to right or right to left?”
I couldn’t help but laugh. At the very least, this would make a good story in a few days after I recovered from my extreme sleep deprivation.
“Left to right, at least in English.”
“Okay, thanks. You’re so smart.”
Rustling.
“Okay, it’s 3 oh 9. Well… 3:10 now.”
I tried to shake the sleep from my brain by closing my eyes and gently kneading my soft eyelids.
“That’s just perfect. You do remember me saying I had an 8 am class today, right?”
“Yes I do. I just-I lost my phone, and yours is the-the only phone number I remember.”
He had never been this drunk before. Lip had a very high tolerance for alcohol. The number of drinks he must have consumed to get to this point is beyond my comprehension. His speech was becoming more slurred by the second, almost as if he were nodding off.
I completely ignored the fact that he used his phone to call me. He was comprehending very little at this moment.
“How many drinks have you had, Lip?”
Silence.
“Uh-that’s another great question…”
His voice trailed off. I sure hope he didn't doze off on me.
“Alright Lip, don’t fall asleep.”
I threw myself into a sitting position and switched on the bedside table lamp. The room instantly filled with bright light. My eyes watered. I squinted to accommodate the abrupt change.
“Where are you? I’ll come pick you up.”
I tucked the phone between my shoulder and ear as I reached down to put on my slippers.
“Uh-I don’t know the address.”
I rolled my eyes.
“Alright, well, can you give me any information that could help me find you?”
I stood, the phone pressed to my ear. I threw a light jacket over my shoulders to hide the fact that I wasn't wearing a bra.
“Uh-it’s down the street from an old gas station.”
I knew exactly where he was. There was only one party host who lived next to an old gas station.
“Are you at Christian’s house?”
“No. Well, actually, I don’t know.”
I walked to my front door, shaking my head in disbelief. I plucked my car keys from the wood tray by the door, twirling them between my fingers. The silence that engulfed my apartment complex was deafening compared to the soft jingle.
“I’ll come and get ya’. Just give me ten minutes. Don’t move a muscle.”
“Okay. I’ll be waitin’ for ya on the front lawn.”
“Perfect.”
I drove slowly, not in a hurry to arrive at Christian's house. Lip could handle himself when he was drunk. Sure, he said stupid shit at times, but if I truly believed he was a danger to himself, I would increase my urgency.
Not even a meek flicker of light could be seen in the windows of nearby houses. My car was engulfed in darkness. Everything was pitch black save for a few street lamps that did little to penetrate the gloom. The world was still and silent.
It reminded me of the twilight zone. I was imprisoned in an environment where time did not exist. I was alone. There were no people who could guide me. I was trapped.
That was the impression I had up until I arrived at Christian's house. The street was lined with parked cars. There were sober individuals mixed in with those who were stumbling drunk. Christian’s house was bursting at the seams. People could be seen congregating on the lawn, in the upper windows, shoving their way inside, and shoving their way out. I stopped my car in front of the grass. Sure enough, Lip was standing on the front lawn, gazing at the street with a blank stare.
I giggled. He looked lost.
I opened my car window and protruded my head outside.
“Lip Gallagher! Your chauffeur is here!”
I shouted sarcastically. My joke elicited a few giggles from various partygoers. A stupidly uneven smile appeared on Lip’s face as he awoke from his stupor.
“Oh hi, Y/N! I didn’t even know you were coming!”
“Get in Lip. I’m gonna take you home.”
Lip walked over, nearly tripping ten times in the short distance he had to cover. I laughed at his erratic behavior.
“You're gonna sit in the back, Lip?”
I caught a glimpse of him in the rearview mirror. His head was leaning against the headrest, and his eyes were closed. He looked serene. Lip jerked awake. His half lidded eyes hurriedly scanned the back of my car as if expecting company.
“Uh-no. I’ll sit in the front.”
I anticipated that he would exit the vehicle and move to the front seat. Instead, he launched himself over the center console.
“Jesus Lip!”
I exclaimed, a flurry of limbs obstructing my view. His body relaxed as he sank into the passenger seat.
“That’s better. It’s much more comfortable up here.”
I scoffed and decided not to participate in this pointless conversation.
Lip didn't speak once during the entire drive back to his apartment, which surprised me. His breathing evened out. I could only assume that he had dozed off. His head would softly crash into the window when I crossed a bump in the road. Although the position didn't appear to be comfortable, Lip was too far gone to bother.
I parked in front of Lip’s dorm complex.
“Lip.”
The mere mention of his name caused Lip to instantly become alert, his hands fumbling all over my car.
“Yes?”
I grinned.
“Do you need help walking or can you manage?”
“I got it.”
Lip stumbled out of the vehicle and looked up at his run-down dorm building. Thank God he was at a dorm and not in his chaotic home. Only occasionally have I had to pick up Lip from a party. Yet, I always seem to run into one of Fiona's conquests who is using the cover of night to elude detection.
“This isn’t my house.”
“Yes it is.”
“No, it’s not.”
“Lip, you moved. You live in a dorm now.”
Lip squinted, still not convinced.
“Oh!”
His eyes widened as his face relaxed.
“Yeah, I remember now.”
We moved slowly as we ascended the stairs. Lip kept stumbling forward, tripping, falling, then shooting back up. The cycle was then repeated ten steps later. Eventually I caved and slung his arm over my shoulder to quicken the process.
“Are your roommates home?”
I wanted to ignite a casual conversation because I could feel Lip growing heavier. I was struggling under his weight and quickly ran out of breath.
“Yes. Actually, no. I don’t think so. I think they left town.”
“Where did they go?”
“They went… to- somewhere.”
Thank God. I could throw Lip on his bed, tuck him in, and leave without any awkward encounters.
I threw Lip’s dorm room open and reached for the lightswitch.
“Noooooo. Don’t turn on the lights.”
I reconciled.
“Alright. Whatever you say.”
It was the home stretch. Lip’s bed was in sight.
I threw him onto it. Under his weight, the springs groaned loudly, disturbing the peace.
“Alright Lip, looks like my work here is done.”
I couldn't help but smile as I turned to leave. Even though I adored Lip and knew this would make a great story, I was eager to crawl into bed.
“Wait…”
He said meekly.
I turned, exhaling an exasperated sigh.
“What now?”
In the ten seconds that I was looking elsewhere, he had somehow gotten himself into a seated position.
“Come here.”
With the most threatening voice his inebriated mind could conjure, he demanded. I rolled my eyes as I approached him.
His expression was sluggish. He seemed to be in a drug-induced coma. Lip’s eyes were half lidded and the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned in a silly manner.
I came to a halt about a foot and a half in front of him.
“Come closer.”
I scoffed, crossing my arms over my chest and taking a step forward.
“Closerrrrrr.”
He was undoubtably fucking with me. But whatever, I’ll play his stupid game. I took another step forward, our knees brushing.
A slight smirk appeared on his lips as he glanced at me through his thick lashes.
Shit.
What have I gotten myself into?
Lip encircled my thighs with his large hands, tugging me forward until the waistband of my shorts was level with his nose.
The air hitched in my throat.
“Lip!”
I exclaimed.
Lip began pressing tender kisses to the tops of my bare thighs, maintaining intense eye contact.
“Come on Y/N, live a little.”
I chuckled, my face flushed with embarrassment, despite the fact that Lip was completely unaware of his actions.
“Lip you really are drunk out of your mind.”
Lip chuckled against my skin.
“Maybe.”
He mumbled.
“No, not maybe, definitely.”
His voice was remarkably crisp and clear. Lip was in his element. He was truly demonstrating his ability to woo any woman, even when his mind was under the influence of alcohol.
“Okay, I’m a little drunk.”
I couldn’t deny that he looked unbelievably sexy with his hot mouth trailing along my thighs.
“But I bet you’re already wet just thinking about me inside you.”
His tone was sultry.
How did he manage to flirt drunk better than I could flirt stone cold sober?
Smug bastard.
“I-“
I couldn't refute his accusation because he was completely correct. I could already feel the wetness pooling in my panties and all he had done was kiss my thighs.
“Come on Y/N, just let me fuck you.”
He pushed the hem of my shirt upwards, exposing a thin strip of my stomach. Lip’s fiery touch ignited an expanse of goosebumps along my soft skin.
He pressed several hot, open mouthed kisses to my lower abdomen.
I shuddered.
My knees began to shake.
Jesus.
I placed my hands on his shoulders and meekly pushed him away. Lip resisted, his mouth remaining pressed against my body.
“You’re so tense all the fuckin’ time.”
I gulped, squeezing my eyes shut. If I continued to maintain eye contact, I would never have the strength to put an end to this.
“You need to relax… and I can make you relax. I can eat you out and make you cum all over my face- I can fuck you real slow- make you feel really good-“
His warm mouth was hovering just above my waistband.
“Lip, we’re friends-“
“Friends fuck. Friends fuck all the time.”
He moved a hand forward, rubbing soft circles into my clothed clit.
Jesus, he was touching me through two layers of clothing and I was still getting insanely hot and bothered.
No.
Hell no.
“Sure, but sober friends don’t fuck drunk friends.”
I was more assertive in my actions. I pushed him away from me. Lip's mouth disconnected from my stomach with a soft pop. His hands landed in his lap.
“No?”
He asked with a sarcastic pout.
“Maybe another time.”
I said despite knowing Lip wouldn’t remember this tomorrow.
“Okay. But I got ya thinkin’ about it, didn’t I?”
He asked smugly.
“Yes, you did.”
Lip fell to one side, his head hitting the pillow.
“Will you stay with me?”
I chuckled.
“What are you, seven?”
Lip groaned, his eyes shut.
“No-I’m at least 10.”
Despite my jokes, I wanted to be with Lip. I'd possessed a small crush on him for the many years we'd been friends, but I wasn't sure if it was something I should pursue. It was always a minor nagging thought in the back of my mind, never something to take seriously.
Until tonight.
“Well, you’re not wrong.”
I crawled into bed with him, slinging an arm around his waist.
“Love ya Y/N.”
His voice was slurred to the point where his words could barely be understood. But I recognized what he was saying. When it was time to say goodbye, he always told me he loved me (platonically, of course). I'm grateful that drunk him still clung to our traditions.
“Love you too Lip.”
Lip smelled like stale tobacco and cheap alcohol. It wafted into my nose in waves, lulling me to sleep.
Tumblr media
warnings - smut. cursing.
my first ever lip fic!! i've loved shameless for YEARS but I always felt like there wasn't much of a fandom on here for it. but, we're in the JAW renaissance after all. lip girls unite!!
3k celebration post here. 3k masterlist here.
Tumblr media
You catch his gaze across the room, and you know you're done for.
Everyone's dancing, singing, drinking. Celebrating Mickey and Ian, at long last. You should join them. But you can't tear your eyes away from Lip Gallagher.
He rises from his seat and walks over to the bathrooms, not looking back once. He knows you'll follow.
You do. You stand up and slink across the floor, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. You knock twice before slipping through the door, locking it behind you.
He's on you immediately. His hands grab at your ass as you gasp, allowing him to slide his tongue into your mouth. He crowds you against the wall, hips rutting into yours.
"Can't stop lookin' at you in this fuckin' dress," he murmurs against your lips.
"Can't stop looking at you in that tux," you whisper back. "You clean up real nice, Gallagher."
He grins at you before kissing you again, hands slipping underneath your dress to pull your underwear down.
Lip spins you around so you're bent over the sink, dress rucked up around your waist.
"I want you to watch," he tells you lowly, body draped over yours. "Want you to watch as I fuck you."
You hear the telltale sound of his zipper coming down, before you feel him pressing at your back. He slides home in one smooth thrust, both of you groaning in unison. He grips your hip with one hand, the other anchored at the back of your neck.
Lip sets a frantic pace, very aware of the fact that his entire family is still on the dance floor outside. You moan when he shifts his hips upwards, entirely too loud for the situation.
"Shhh, baby. You don't want them to hear, do you? Want them to hear how filthy you are?"
You shake your head and he chuckles, low and mischievous. Lip snakes a hand around your body to rest over your mouth, effectively shutting you up.
He doesn't let up, hips snapping into yours as you both get closer and closer. You wrap your fingers around his wrist, holding onto him for dear life.
"Come for me, baby. That's it. Good girl, that's it."
You fall over the edge as his honeyed words meet your ears, stars dancing behind your eyelids. He finds his release as soon as you do, groaning lowly against your back.
Suddenly, you laugh, amusement vibrating your body.
"What? What's so funny?"
"You're a cliche, Gallagher."
"Oh yeah? How so?"
"Best man and maid of honour. You've just fed into every wedding stereotype ever."
He grins at you, buttoning himself up as you fix your hair in the mirror.
"It's not cliche. It's tradition."
lips absence making ronan just not having a connection with him. and ronan is 1000% mamas boy, so even when your super pregnant ronan still needs to be held and when lip tries to take him it’s ww3 getting ronan away from you
i don't think it would be an absence with the kids because he knows 1) you'd leave him right then and there, and 2) he wouldn't be able to live with himself genuinely. he never actually leaves (unless you kick him out to cool off bc you're both fighting) but he's not leaving leaving. he's absent more in the way of just not in the moment. always looks like he's somewhere else. might be there physically but not emotionally.
still, ronan is such a mama's boy, he picks up on it subconsciously. he'd still so little when you get pregnant, a little over a year old when you're pretty heavily pregnant. he just wants to cuddle and cling to you all day, but it gets pretty hard to with your growing bump.
lip tries to take him to bed one night. you're supposed to be on bed rest, not moving a lot- definitely not lifting a baby. ronan sobs- wails for you.
heart broken "ma-ma!"'s all the way down the hall, and you're emotional as it is, but it tears your heart right down the middle.
lip is in hell trying to get him to settle. all he wants is you. he's not a very mean baby, never super fussy or dramatic (not like freddie and jude) but he is then. agitated, angry, upset, won't settle at all.
"just let me have him." you whisper after the last hour of ronan's sobs.
"hey, no. you're not supposed to be up-" lip frowns.
you roll your eyes at him, reaching for ronan who stretched for you. "no," lip turns. "you can't lift him. the doctor said-"
"-i'll be fine." you huff. "jude and freddie have school tomorrow, and he's going to make himself sick crying like this. i'll be alright."
lip's still not giving in. his ego is hurt, his pride too. why he couldn't get ronan to settle, he wasn't sure, but it was driving him insane.
he finally agrees to keep him in the bed with you two for the night. keeps you in it, and keeps ronan happy.
sweet escape | lip gallagher
summary: Neither you nor Lip can focus on anything else except each other. content: jealously, established relationship, f oral (insinuated m oral), unedited
He can't but watch you as you talk with your friends. You're wearing the dress he had hoped you'd wear. Every time he sees you in it, there's just no way his focus can be on anything else.
"If you're gonna keep eye-fucking your girlfriend, Lip, then I'm gonna go find Trevor," Ian says, eyes rolling simultaneously and it snaps Lip back into his actual being.
"Sorry, man. What were you saying?" he stammered, hand rubbing at the back of his head. Ian just walks off and leaves him standing there. He isn't completely opposed to it. Now he can focus all his attention on you without interruptions.
And he does just that. He finds a good spot on a couch near you, close enough for you to notice him without being close enough to draw you over just yet. You look over and smile at him, he nods at you, legs spreading out on the couch. The action makes your mouth dry and you quickly look away, suddenly flustered.
He laughs to himself as he watches you regain your train of thought and rejoin the conversation. His tongue darts out, wetting his lips as you look over at him again. Your bottom lip is immediately drawn into your mouth and it takes everything in himself to not go over to you right now. He's having fun making you really want him.
He slightly waves at you, barely lifting his hand and his nonchalance is making you want him more than ever. You see the girl before he does. A pretty blonde girl in a tight dress stopping to stand right in his line of sight, blocking him from your view and you from his view.
"Hi! I'm Caroline," she introduces herself, her hand moving out to shake his. He does and gives her a tight-lipped smile.
"Uh, Lip," he greets. She beams, giggling slightly.
"That's a different name, I like it," she smiles, taking the empty spot beside him. Her thighs touch his and Lip isn't sure how your burning stare doesn't set her on fire. He gets an idea, a way to really make you come over to him.
He doesn't stop the way Caroline starts sliding her foot up his shin and it makes you furious. He's your Lip and he's not doing to show this random girl that he's yours. You decide to play just as dirty, excusing yourself from your friends and finding a lonesome guy even closer to where Lip is sitting.
You flutter your lashes and poke out your chest a little more than usual. Lip wants to kill the guy that has a perfect view down your top. He cracks when he watches you lean in to whisper something in his ear and the random boy's hands move to your waist.
He's stomping over, hand stretching over your back to guide you out of this house party. You don't speak as you walk to the car.
The tension is thick as both of your car doors shut loudly. He doesn't move to start the car, idly sitting there staring out the windshield as you look over at him. You want to apologize, and as soon as you open your mouth he's throwing himself at you, lips pressing onto yours.
You moan into his mouth, hands grasping at his hair. He sighs into yours, hands feeling over any inch of your body he can get.
"Never do that again," he grumbles.
"Wouldn't have done it if you weren't letting that girl flirt with you," you huff back, pulling away from him. He knows he shouldn't have but he loved seeing you riled up. It was just unfortunate that you got him back this time.
"Never again," he agrees, starting the car. His hand reaches out, landing on your thigh. The car ride is just as quiet as your walk as he massages at the bare skin. You're glad he doesn't live far, you need him now.
Both of you are immediately stripping each other of your clothes as soon as you step into the house. No one is home as he pushes you up the stairs to his room.
"Fuck, you can't wear that dress ever again," he teases, teeth nibbling at your ear as his hands run down your sides. Your back is pressed against his front and you're completely intoxicated with him. "You look gorgeous in it, baby."
"Thank you," you giggle as his lips move down to your neck. He presses firm kisses onto the delicate skin, hands traveling up to cup at your braless breasts. "Lip, need you."
He obliges, turning you in his grip and helping you out of your panties. Another one of his favorite items on you, a cute black, lacy pair that you had bought for him on your anniversary. He pushes you onto your back on the bed as he rids himself of the rest of his clothes.
Your eyes are trained on him as he undresses. He smirks at you as he takes off his boxers. The way your breathing increases and your thighs press together has his head filling with fog. Yours is practically a cloud with how foggy you are by the time he's crawling up the bed to hover you, hand brushing a stray hair out of your face.
He's slow with the way he kisses you. It's delicate like he's savoring every little bit of it. His tongue explores your mouth messily, saliva sloppily covering your lips. You lick at his lips desperately when he pulls away, just wanting him back.
Lip doesn't say anything as he moves down the bed, kissing down your body as he goes. He stops at your core as he presses kisses onto your inner thighs, hands grabbing at the skin to hold them apart. You think you could pass away when he finally licks up your pussy, tongue briefly dipping inside of you.
"Oh, Lip," you moan out, hands tangled in his hair as he continues. No man should ever be could ever be as good at eating pussy as Lip is. He knows just how to have your back arching off the bed, hands pulling at his hair, and his name falling out of your mouth.
He's messy with it too, lapping noisily at you. His lips suction around your clit as he teases your hole with two of his fingers. You squirm underneath him and his grip tightens on your hip. He has you pressed so firmly into the bed it makes your head dizzy.
"L-oh, fuck! Holy shit," you whine, tears brimming your eyes as he looks up at you. This is his favorite view in the entire world. You falling apart simply because of his mouth. His ego is huge as you choke on your words. All he has to do is look up at you with those wide eyes, big hands holding you down and it throws you over the edge.
You moan out his name as he licks at you. He's not ready to stop when you finally push at his head. He kisses your thighs as your breathing evens out.
"Good?" he smirks, moving up to lie beside you. You turn into his body, resting your head on his chest. You huff, squinting your eyes to look at him.
"Shut up." You kiss him, being able to faintly taste yourself on him. You reach down and he huffs pulling away to rest his head on your shoulder. "What's wrong? Why aren't you hard?"
"Uh, I- I, holy fuck this is embarrassing, I came when I was eating you out." He expects you to laugh at him, but your eyes somehow glaze over even more.
"Well, can I help you out?" you ask, moving down the bed. His hand subconsciously moves the hair out of your face as he takes a breath. He's already getting hard again.
"Course, baby. Go for it."
Lip Gallagher would fuck his girl so good after coming home from college and then be all domesticy
i fucking agree !! heres a little blurb for you <33 nsfw 18+. rough lip, unprotected p in v, praise, aftercare, domesticity
it's been so long since you've seen lip. five weeks, three days, and eleven hours. but who's counting anyway? it doesn't matter how long its been, or how much you missed him, how much you thought of him when he was away at school. he was here now. that was what mattered.
his hands and lips have been all over you since the moment he stepped off the L. you're alone in his room now, bent over his desk and crying from it. tears leak down your cheeks as he grips your now-messy ponytail in one hand.
"good fucking girl," he growls in your ear, thrusting sharper so that your hips are banging repeatedly against the desk. you whimper and press your ass back into him, you try to speak but all that comes out is a garbled moan of his name. he smiles at this, sharp and wicked as his fingers dig into the meat of your ass. "o-oh shit- missed this, jesus."
you manage to pant out, "fuck! missed it so much," before you're clenching around him and arching your back in a white-hot wave of pleasure.
lip coos in your ear, "so fuckin' tight f'me. tha's my girl." his hips speed up and his thrusts become erratic, his teeth biting down softly on your ear as he comes inside you.
you let out an exhausted whine and crumple into the desk, feeling his chest press against your back. he pulls out with a soft hiss, fingers trailing patterns over the expanse of your back as his lips map a trail of kisses across your nape. he really had missed you.
"lemme get ya some clean clothes," he murmurs, standing and cleaning himself up with a spare tee before searching his drawers for something of yours. he finds a loose tank top of his and a comfy little pair of shorts for you, cleaning you up with gentle hands and helping you to stand as he dressed you.
you smile warmly and lean yourself against lip's chest. his heartbeat is soft and quick under your ear, a stark contrast to how soft and sated you feel. his lips kiss your hairline with gentle fervor, smattering small pecks to whatever he can reach. "missed you," you murmur, to which he laughs softly.
"missed ya too, sweetheart." he replies, pulling away and finding a cozy sweater to wrap you in. "ian an' mickey are downstairs, an' i'm fuckin' hungry. c'mon," he tells you with a grin. he locks his fingers in yours and pulls you down the stairs, a sweet giggle floating effortlessly from your lips. he's here. he's home.
mickey wiggles his eyebrows at you suggestively, and lip swats his head, grabbing two beers from the fridge and tossing one in mickey's direction. lip hands the other beer to you and grabs the pack of cigs on the counter. he lights it from the stove burner as you crack your beer and grab a pan, all between pressing a kiss on his cheek.
"quesadilla?' you ask, holding up tortillas, cheese, and a bag of peppers. you watch lip's face break into a wide grin, reaching out and grabbing your waist to pull you into his side. he lands a kiss on your lips, his presence so warm all around you.
"yeah, babe. missed your cookin'" he murmurs, resting his cheek against your own for one quick, sweet moment. then, of course, the aura of peace is shattered when mickey speaks up.
"yeah sweets, lip can't cook for shit!"
lip moves to the doorway to bicker with mickey in the living room, and you can't help but laugh at their antics. they're annoying, but you love them to death. regardless of it's flaws, you wouldn't trade the current moment for anything in the world.
end.
Fingers digging into your hips as you continue on your euphoric ride, your juices dripping down his balls as you grind against his length. Your head is fuzzy, your thoughts scattered as Lip holds you down tightly while he increases his speed. His throbbing tip hits your sweet spot repeatedly, twitching under his grasp as the feeling is mutual. Lip watches as your face contorts into pure pleasure, riding the wave of pleasure as you both cum.
A whiny moan escaping your lips as Lip pounds hard into your core. Your heart pounding in your center as you roll over onto the bed. Falling softly onto the mattress, the sound of heavy breaths quickly overtake the room, replacing the moans that once littered the space.
Turning your head to look over at the man who just rocked your world, once again. The sun hitting his face perfectly as it shines brightly through the window, watching the sweat trickle down his temple and a playful smirk dancing along his face. His thoughts are foggy from the amazing time you two just shared.
Rolling over onto your side, your left hand snaking its way along his chest, fingers grazing over the soft skin, goosebumps trailing not far behind.
Lip takes your hand in his, giving it a tight squeeze as his other hand reaches for the loose strands of hair that fall into your face, tucking them neatly behind your ear. Then pulling you closer by the chin to place a soft kiss on your lips.
You are in love.
Lip has your heart so deeply that you cannot fathom feeling anything else. His touch, his voice, his laugh, his everything making you completely head over heels for him.
Unfortunately for you, the two of you are just friends who happen to have sex with each other. Though you definitely yearn for something more.
Taking a deep breath as you work up the courage to ask, “Do you ever think about being more than just friends?”
Lip’s eyes are still fixed on yours but his face changes to an indescribable stare. The question obviously makes him think more than you would like. Humming before answering, “Uhh, not really.” Dropping both of his hands as Lip looks back towards the ceiling.
A wrenching punch to your fragile heart.
“So you just want to have sex and that’s it?” You question, your tone becoming venomous as you push back from Lip. The feeling of love slowly dissipates.
“Pretty much yeah.”
Pretty much?
Pretty much?
Has Lip Gallagher completely lost his fucking mind?
Your body begins to shake, your blood boiling inside your veins as his words repeat over and over and over in your mind. You want to scream, yell, push, punch…cry. All of these emotions build in your body as you stare at Lip who doesn’t even look like he gives a shit.
“Fuck you Lip Gallagher.”
It is all you can muster up the courage to say. Immediately following the words by getting off the bed. Grabbing your underwear off the floor, murmuring to yourself as you struggle to put them on.
Lip groans as he lifts himself up, “Don’t be like this.” Scooting himself to the edge of the bed. Reaching out his hands towards you, his fingertips brushing against your bare waist and arms. Grazing along the skin until he reaches your hand, squeezing light with sincerity in his eyes.
He makes your heart flutter, but you can’t shake his words, “Lip, be honest with me.” Your free hand gripping the cotton fabric of your shirt, “Do you ever want this to go further than just sex?”
"Like a relationship?"
"Yes a relationship."
Hesitating before answering you, “Not really.”
Dropping your hand from his instantly at his hurtful words. Heart sinking to the very depths of the holes in your stomach, the burning sensation tickles the back of your throat as you hold back your tears. “Then we’re done.” Your tone is quiet, continuing to fight the urge to collapse, to cry into his arms as you hurry to put on your clothes.
Lip tries, but fails, to get your attention. Reaching out towards you to talk to him, but every time you take a moment to just stare at him. Your stare no longer holds the spark of love that radiates for him, but the resentment you now hold towards him. The way he just let your heart hit the cold ground without any care in the world.
And as soon as you have your pants on, you are out the door of his room. Practically running to get out of the house, away from him, away from the heartbreak.
You can hear the heavy footsteps behind you, knowing he is following close behind. His voice follows as it pleads for you to stop.
Finally able to grab your arm at the end of the staircase, the argument is in full display of his family that occupies the living room. “Why do we have to ruin what we have now?” Lip whispers.
“We don’t have anything now, Lip.” You harshly say, louder than your normal tone of voice, “It’s just sex, all we ever do is fuck and I want more.” You can feel the burning sensation come back, your eyes shifting downwards as the tears start to become too hard to hold back, speaking softly, “I deserve more.”
Ripping your hand hard from his grasp. Pausing just a brief second to look at Lip, wishing this day turned out differently. Wishing you never had sex with him in the first place. You leave without saying another word, the door slamming loudly behind you.
Lip is beyond furious with you and how you reacted. He couldn’t believe how childish you were being over something so silly, over something that wasn’t even serious. He shakes his head before departing up the stairs, before anyone of his siblings can make any sort of remarks about the shit storm that just happened.
Lip ignored the world for the first couple of days since your break up, that wasn’t really a break up, at least not to him. He constantly replayed the fight over and over again until his head hurt. Trying to understand you but he couldn’t he could fucking understand you at all.
Why did you get so mad?
Why did you want to ruin what you both currently have?
Why did you want more?
Why couldn’t he give you more?
After a couple of weeks, Lip wasn’t mad at you anymore. A little annoyed but not mad. More mad at himself and frustrated with how he always handles these situations. If anyone shows just a little bit of feelings towards him, he completely shuts down, shutting anyone and everyone out. Anyone who could break him.
Lip’s life eventually went back to normal, or as normal as a Gallagher’s life could get. But there was definitely something missing, and he knew it was you and your laugh and your smile and the way your eyes light up when you look at him.
Lip finally realized that it was never about the sex, even though it was definitely great. It was you, it was always going to be you.
He was just too much of an idiot, too heartbroken by other girls to see that you are perfect for him in every way.
He is in love with you, and finally ready to admit it.
The realization hits Lip like a ton of bricks on this hot, sunny Tuesday afternoon. The puzzle pieces finally click into place as his mind is no longer questioning his feelings. He understands how he feels and he needs to tell you right now.
No more waiting, Lip thought, it was now or never.
And he couldn’t face forever without you.
His heart beating faster, the adrenaline pumping through his body as he practically runs to your house. His feet moving quicker than ever before, his body rushing on the pure thought of love coursing through his vein.
The high races in Lip's head, sending him higher than any joint or orgasm ever could.
Lip is in love.
The rapid pounding on the front door shakes you from your slumber. It’s been a couple very hard weeks since your stupid, little break up with Lip. God, why couldn’t you get him out of your mind?
Taking a pillow to place over your head as the pounding becomes louder and louder, more and more frequent. You groan aggressively throughout the quiet house, wishing the person on the other side will just go the fuck away.
Huffing as you begrudgingly take your little heartbroken body down the stairs to answer the door. The knocking still at full volume, shaking the windows. Unlocking the door to see him…the boy who broke you. The boy who wants nothing from you but sex.
You can barely look at him, making the quick decision to shut the door. Wanting to leave him and everything about him far away from you. But before you can close the door completely, Lip jams his shoe into the open space. Pushing to try to stop you from shutting the door, shutting him out.
“I just want to talk.” He states, sticking his hand to help himself keep the door open.
Now leaning your whole body on the heavy door, attempting to close it on him, but unfortunately Lip is far stronger than you. “I have nothing to say to you,” Pushing hard until he finally loses his grip and in one final push, you close the door and lock him out.
Chest heaving as you watch him on the other side of the fogged glass. You can feel your body start to give in as he calls your name. Begging for you to talk to him.
But you physically can’t. You won’t let yourself be hurt by Lip again. You deserve better than that and if that means never seeing him again, then so be it.
Walking away from the door, back up the stairs, continuing to hear him call your name. Each time is like a knife being twisted deeper into your heart. Plopping on the bed, grabbing a stuffed animal and crying, because at this point there is nothing more you can manage to do.
Lip huffs as he tries to figure out what to do. Obviously his first attempt at talking to you didn’t work out very well but he can’t just leave and hope that some day things will work out between the two of you. He needs you to know how he truly feels.
Puckering his lips as he walks out into the front lawn, looking up towards the second floor at your bedroom window. And that’s when the idea hit, just like every classic 80s movie, just needs a little bit of romance. He looks around for a couple of rocks, taking two or three of them in his hands before tossing them at your bedroom window.
The tapping sound clicks through your room, hearing it in between sobs. Looking up to figure out where the noise is coming from as another rock hits your window. Wiping away the snot from your nose and the tears from your eyes as you stumble over to the window.
Peering out to sit Lip down below, waving up at you. Opening the window to shout, “Go away Gallagher before I call the cops.” Your voice still reminisces of hurt as you try your best to sound tough.
“I just want to talk.” Lip yells back, picking the dirt off of the rock in his hands.
“Well I don’t.” You begin to shut the window until he yells for you to stop. His voice is about to break, tugging at your heart strings. You can see his cheeks start to get rosy and the strain in his eyes as he holds back tears.
“Please stop,” He feels like he can’t catch his breath, “I just need to talk.”
You pause, staring at him as he begins to break down in your front lawn. Opening the window again, poking your head out and nodding for him to continue.
“I was- I am a fucking idiot. Because I didn’t see what we had, b-but I do now. You have to believe me.” Dropping the rocks in his hand as his palm wipes away the lone tear that runs down his cheek.
“I LOVE YOU Y/N!” His whole heart is in his words. “I am so madly in love with you.”
You can’t help but smile, smile at him for being such a dork who is shouting his love for you. Smile because it feels like you can actually breathe after so many weeks of being under water. Your lungs so full of air they could burst at any second.
“Please come down here and talk to me.”
Rolling your eyes playfully as you make your way out of your room, down the stairs and out onto the porch. A little laugh catching in your throat as Lip continues to shouts to the neighborhood how much he loves you. How much he adores you.
Only stopping when he notices you are outside. “I’m serious, y’know. About us.”
Crossing your arms over your body, as you so desperately want to give yourself to him, but after what happened between the two of you. You can’t help but want to continue to build your walls. “I don’t know, Lip.”
“I was scared. Wh-when you told me that you wanted something more. I didn’t think I could feel this way after- well after Karen. But here you were, here you are making me feel fucking stupid and like over the moon for you.” Lip rants, “I could be doing the most interesting shit, and somehow the thought of you will pop up in my mind, uncalled for, and then I end up thinking about you for the rest of the day.”
“I am in love with you. I am always going to be in love with you.” His eyes are soft as he tries to study you, tries to indicate what you are thinking. Hoping that you will forgive him.
A small smile creeps onto your face as you can’t help but understand where Lip is coming from. You know what it’s like to not trust people, to want to close yourself off from others. Hell it’s easier than falling in love. But you can’t help who you fall in love with.
Taking a couple of steps closer to him, hand extending to touch the buttons on his shirt. Eyes, doe-like as they bat behind your eyes lashes. Heart fluttering as you pinch the soft fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer towards you.
Inches away from one another as Lip grabs your face with both hands, kissing you deeply, needing you more than oxygen.
friends — lip gallagher x reader
and what the hell were we?
tell me we weren't just friends
this doesn't make much sense
synopsis: going from the best of friends to the best of friends with benefits shouldn't be a problem—at least, not until one starts to catch feelings for the other
✧.*
the southside streets were a tapestry of dimly lit alleyways and faded dreams. you found yourself perched on the stoop of the gallagher house, a half-empty beer bottle in your hand. the night was alive with whispers of city life, the distant sounds of sirens and laughter merging into a symphony of chaos. the air carried the sweet tang of uncertainty, a reminder that anything could happen in these streets.
lip gallagher, a mix of charm and raw edges, emerged from the house. his presence was magnetic, drawing you in with a lopsided grin that spoke of countless adventures. “fancy seeing you here,” he remarked, his voice a cocktail of amusement and intrigue.
“fate or coincidence, you decide,” you shot back, the corner of your lips curling into a playful smile. this was your ritual, a dance that had become second nature between you two.
he leaned against the porch railing, his shoulder brushing against yours in a way that felt more intimate than accidental. the conversation flowed effortlessly, a rhythm that only the two of you understood. stories of the latest flings and mishaps unfolded, the honesty between you a testament to a connection that ran deeper than the surface.
as the night stretched on, the dialogue tiptoed along the line between flirtation and confession. every word carried a weight of promise and potential, each laugh a step closer to crossing a boundary that neither of you had dared to name.
lip's gaze held a mixture of challenge and curiosity, his words dipped in a shade of daring. “so, what's the most daring thing you've done lately?” he asked, his eyes never leaving yours.
a smirk tugged at your lips, a telltale sign that you were about to unveil a carefully guarded secret. “well,” you began, drawing out the word for dramatic effect, “i may or may not have found myself in a rather intriguing situation with a certain gallagher.”
His eyebrows arched, his mask of nonchalance slipping just a fraction. “oh, really? do tell.”
you leaned in, your breath mingling with his as you whispered your confession. “let's just say, friends with benefits has taken on a whole new meaning.”
his laughter was a melody that echoed through the night, a mixture of surprise and something else that flickered in his eyes. “you're something else, you know that?” the unspoken truth hung between you, the acknowledgment that this game you were playing had stakes neither of you had anticipated. but as the night drew on, the allure of the unknown kept you tethered to the porch, the city's heartbeat matching your own.
it only took a second for him to close the gap between your lips. the kiss was a collision of pent-up tension and unspoken desires, a fusion of emotions that had been simmering beneath the surface for far too long. his lips were warm against yours, a promise of more to come, as if the touch of his mouth held the answers to questions you hadn't even asked.
the world around you seemed to fade into the background, the distant city noises reduced to a gentle hum. all that mattered was the taste of him, the sensation of his fingers tangling in your hair, his body pressed against yours. as the kiss deepened, so did the complexity of the emotions it unearthed. It was more than just a physical connection; it was a revelation of the layers you'd both been hiding. the hands that had been exploratory in their touch grew steadier, more purposeful, as if mapping out the contours of a future neither of you had planned for.
when the kiss finally broke, you were left breathless, the weight of what had just transpired settling between you like a secret too heavy to bear. lip's eyes bore into yours, a mixture of uncertainty and longing, a reflection of the storm that raged within him. “we should probably go back inside,” he murmured, his voice a low rasp that sent shivers down your spine.
“probably,” you agreed, though neither of you moved. the unspoken words hung between you as he smashed his lips into yours once more, the kiss more feverish than ever.
his fingers trailed along the fabric of your shirt, dipping under the hem as he tugged on it aggressively. you smiled into the kiss, complying as you helped him out, the shirt landing on the floor beneath your feet. the air felt electric, every touch igniting a spark that set your senses ablaze. lip's touch was both urgent and tender, his hands mapping the expanse of your skin as if committing every inch to memory. the porch became a canvas for a connection that had transcended its boundaries, each brush of skin a brushstroke in a masterpiece of vulnerability. as his fingers danced along your spine, you leaned into his touch, savoring the way his breath hitched when you traced the contours of his chest. the unspoken words that had lingered between you now found their voice in the language of touch and sensation.
his lips found your neck, trailing soft kisses that sent ripples of pleasure through you. the world around you seemed to fade, leaving only the two of you in a bubble of stolen intimacy. the night held its breath, as if aware of the gravity of this moment, of how it would reshape the landscape of your connection. “really need this,” he murmured into your neck, his veiny hands finding their way onto your chest, gripping at your boobs with an aggression that made you moan. “had such a shitty fuckin' day.”
you couldn't help but smile as you pushed his hands farther into your tits, giving him all the leverage he needed to grope them harder, unclipping your bra before letting his mouth help him out. “well, what are best friends for?”
he let his teeth sink into your nipples, tongue circling the hardened buds as you shivered under his touch. you were busy yourself, fingers eagerly pulling his jeans down, boxers catching up to them in an instant. you were both bare, nothing you hadn't seen before—but it never got old. his hands traced your toned stomach, rubbing soothing circles into your hipbones before making their way south.
the sensation in his dick became even more unbearable as he ran a sole finger along your slit, picking up all the moisture you had in store for him.
“so fucking wet,” he groaned, admiring the way your sweet slick dripped onto his fingers. “all of this for me?” you nodded in response, your fingers wrapped around his wrist as you pushed upwards, encouraging him to go further. you didn't have to tell him twice, his index finger pushing its way into you, meaty walls clenching in an instant. you couldn't help but moan, his finger long and sturdy, hitting you where you needed it to.
“let's see how well you take them tonight,” he mused, his pace quickening as the tip of his finger brushed against your sweet spot. you find yourself with your fingers tangled in his hair, pulling on his curly locks. he pushed a second finger into you, the burning pain of being stretched out so nicely clashing with overwhelming pleasure. in no time, he had pushed a third finger into you, all three mercilessly pounding inside of you, curling and twisting so that he could prepare you for a bigger treat. “that's a good girl.”
when he slid his fingers out, you whined at the emptyness. he pressed his lips to yours once more, fingers soaked with your arousal. you kissed him back just as hard, just as needy as he trailed his wet fingers up your body, caressing your stomach, tits and neck—before he pulled away, substituting his lips with his fingers. you obliged at the silent demand, swollen lips parted to make way for his thick fingers. he shoved them in carelessly, watching you suck on your own juices to clean him up. he groaned at the sight of you all pretty and desperate for him, he couldn't hold out any longer.
you had your face propped up on your elbows, back arched for him with your ass in his face. he brought down his hand against the meat of your ass harshly, watching it riccochet and bounce back. you mewled at the stinging sensation it left behind as you pushed up against him, eager for another taste. he smirked, knowing you were just as desperate as he was.
when you felt the tip brush past your walls, there was no shutting you up. of course, you've had countless encounters like this with your best friend, and you've seen a considerable amount of dicks in your life—but nothing could compare to him, nothing could make you get bored with him. you let out a cry of ecstasy once he pushed himself in balls-deep, the feeling making you tense up completely.
“so fucking big,” you purred, his hands gripping onto your ass for leverage. “can't take it.” the grip on your ass intensified as he leaned down to your ear, dick pushing into you even deeper than before.
“oh, yes you fucking will,” he argued, hot breath fanning your lobe. “gonna stay there and let me use this pussy like a good little bitch.”
you felt yourself clench around him at his degrading words, a string of disgusting moans leaving your mouth as he fucked you—and he fucked you good. he made sure you felt the way every vein pressed against your walls, the way his tip cruelly slammed against your cervix, the way his balls would slap your ass roughly. neither of you were there to make love—you were there to fuck. you were there to let loose and let go of your stressful issues, and being best friends, you were determined to help each other out.
when he came, he didn't do it quietly. one hand was gripping at the flesh on your ass, sure to leave marks. the other was in your hair, pulling your head towards him while he fucked you, longing to watch how your eyes rolled back at the brutal pleasure. he came with a loud groan, dumping his cum into you, along with the problems the day had in store for him. you followed just a few seconds after, tears rolling down your cheeks as you soaked him, the nirvana positively ecstatic.
“i'm gonna get going,” you breathed out, quick to get back onto your feet after coming down from your high. lip shot you a look as he tucked his elbows behind his head. “no, you're not,” he countered with a yawn. “you're gonna get us some beer and stay over so we can talk about shit.”
the low hum of the room was accompanied by the afterglow of your connection, the air still heavy with the intimacy you'd shared. with a reluctant nod, you slipped into your discarded clothes and made your way to the small kitchen, returning shortly with a couple of cold beers. you settled back onto the bed, the mattress dipping under your weight as you handed lip a beer. the cans clinked together in a silent toast as you both took a sip, the casual gesture feeling strangely intimate after what had transpired between you.
“so, what's on your mind?” lip asked, his gaze fixed on the ceiling but his attention clearly focused on you. you took a deep breath, the words tumbling out before you could second-guess yourself. “you remember that guy from our school, sam?”
lip's eyebrows furrowed as he turned his head to look at you. “oh, yeah. captain of the football team, real dick.”
“yeah,” you confirmed, your fingers tracing the rim of the beer can. “we were fucking for a while, but it kind of fizzled out.”
lip's expression was a mixture of curiosity and concern. “what happened?” you shrugged, trying to keep your tone nonchalant. “just the usual stuff. real small dick.”
silence hung in the air, a bridge between what was said and what was left unsaid before you both broke into laughter. it was your turn to ask, “what about you?”
lip's lips quirked into a wry smile. “my sexcapades aren't as bad as yours,” he took a long sip of his beer before continuing. “well, you remember mandy milkovich?” your heart skipped a beat at the mention of her name, though you tried your best to hide it. it was nothing personal with her, she was just a huge cunt. “oh, yeah. real bitch.”
lip's gaze was distant, as if he were recounting a distant memory. “fucked her longer than i counted for, real intense.”
“intense how?” you couldn't help but ask, your curiosity piqued. he let out a soft chuckle. “mandy's got this way of getting under your skin, you know? we were good together, but then we weren't. she wanted more than i was willing to give at the time.”
the honesty in his voice resonated with you, reminding you that the emotions you'd been navigating weren't exclusive to you alone. as you continued to share stories, both trivial and significant, the barriers that had once separated you seemed to crumble, replaced by a newfound understanding of each other's vulnerabilities.
the hours slipped away in a haze of laughter and candid conversation, the connection between you growing deeper with every word exchanged. it was a respite from the chaos of the world, a haven where feelings could be acknowledged without judgment.
eventually, as the night gave way to the early hours of the morning, the two of you lay side by side, the beer cans empty and discarded. the moment was a tranquil pause in a story that had become increasingly complicated, a pause that allowed you to savor the newfound intimacy that had emerged from the ashes of your casual arrangement.
the morning sun filtered through the blinds, casting a warm glow across lip's disheveled room. groggily, he rubbed his eyes and shifted, only to find an empty space beside him. confusion settled in as he searched for any sign of you, his mind racing through fragmented memories of the night before.
had you left? or maybe you'd ended up in someone else's bed? of course you left. the thought gnawed at him, igniting an unsettling fire of emotions he wasn't prepared for. lip's fingers brushed against his temple as he attempted to piece together the events of the previous night, the truth feeling elusive.
days turned into a slow build-up of anticipation and anxiety. the absence of your usual banter and casual encounters weighed heavily on him. the evening approached, and you had found yourself at the bar, nursing a drink and trying to settle in for a night of fun you'd been anticipating the past dew days.
as the hours ticked by, a vision of confidence and allure. the room seemed to shift its focus to you, a magnetic force that drew glances from all directions. men couldn't resist approaching, their intentions clear, but their advances met with a firm dismissal.
at the bar, kevin watched with amusement, recognizing the game you were playing. with a sly grin, he intercepted a particularly persistent suitor, delivering a curt “fuck off,” that sent a clear message. unbeknownst to the onlookers, the stage was set, and the tension was building, like the calm before a storm.
the whispers among the patrons painted a picture of longing. it seemed like you were waiting for someone, and in their minds, that someone was lip gallagher. expectation hung in the air like a palpable thread, weaving through the dimly lit space as the night deepened.
as the door swung open, a collective breath held, only to release in a surprised murmur. it wasn't lip who stepped in, but carl, his presence strikingly magnetic. a slow grin curled on his lips, a silent acknowledgment of the role he was about to play.
his entrance was like a bolt of electricity, charging the atmosphere with an undeniable energy. his eyes locked onto yours from across the room, a silent invitation that you couldn't resist. with a smirk, he made his way over, sliding onto the barstool beside you.
“looks like you really showed up,” he drawled, his tone dripping with flirtatious charm. you laughed, a mixture of amusement and anticipation. “you gave me a reason to.”
he leaned in, his lips brushing against your ear. “good, because we've got shit in store for tonight.”
the double entendre hung in the air, and a shiver ran down your spine. “is that so?” you teased, meeting his gaze with a challenge. carl's hand found its way to your thigh, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through you. “absolutely, only if you can take it.” you and carl have known each other as long as you and lip have—as long as you and all the gallaghers have. granted, none of you were as close as you and lip were, but carl wanted nothing more than to form a close bond of hia own with you.
the playful glint in his eyes told you he had no intentions of keeping that promise. as the night wore on and drinks flowed, the conversation between you grew more intimate.
“you always knew how to keep things interesting,” you mused, your fingers tracing the rim of your glass. carl's foot brushed against yours under the bar, a subtle touch that spoke volumes. “life's too short for anything less.”
the chemistry between you was undeniable, each word and gesture a part of an intricate dance. his laughter mixed with yours, creating a bubble of shared secrets and hidden desires.
leaning in, he whispered, “you have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this.” your breath caught in your throat as his lips grazed your earlobe. “oh, really? and what exactly have you been looking forward to?”
carl's fingers traced a path along your arm, sending a shiver down your spine. ”getting to know you better. much, much better.“ the words hung in the air, heavy with implication. the bar seemed to fade away as the night deepened, leaving only the electric connection between you and him. the chemistry crackled, a tantalizing push and pull that was impossible to ignore. the bar buzzed with activity, but your focus was solely on each other. With every touch, every whispered promise, the tension between you grew, until it became a force that couldn't be contained.
when he took you home, everybody was asleep. everybody, except for lip, who was nowhere to be found. you chose not to ask questions and ignore the feeling that grew in your chest. you knew he was out elsewhere, possibly in someone else's bed, but you didn't care. why would you? you focused on carl, on the way you were straddling his lap on his bed, your bodies closer than ever. his fingers brushed against your cheek, his touch gentle yet charged with an electric undercurrent. the weight of unspoken words hung in the air, but there was no need for explanations.
his breath mingled with yours, a rhythmic symphony that seemed to echo the racing of your hearts. the chemistry between you crackled like electricity, each touch igniting a wildfire that spread through every nerve ending. his lips brushed against yours, a soft tease that sent tremors of longing through you.
“you drive me crazy, you know that?” he murmured against your lips, his voice a husky whisper that seemed to send vibrations straight to your core. a smile tugged at the corners of your mouth, your fingers tracing the outline of his jaw. “and what are you planning to do about it?”
carl's hands found their way to your hips, his touch possessive yet tender. “i think you already know,” he replied, his gaze holding a promise that was impossible to ignore. the barriers that had once separated you from this moment felt like distant memories. in the dim light, the layers of pretense were shed, leaving only raw desire and the unspoken connection that bound you together.
as your lips met in a hungry kiss, the world seemed to fall away. the sensation of his mouth against yours was intoxicating, a heady mixture of need and vulnerability. your fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him impossibly closer as the kiss deepened, a silent exchange of emotions too complex to put into words.
in that moment, you chose to let go of the questions that had been nagging at the back of your mind. the feeling that had grown in your chest, a mixture of unease and longing, was pushed aside in favor of the intoxicating present. you straddled the line between reality and desire, a place where the only thing that mattered was the connection between you and him.
“you gallaghers sure know what you're doing,” you breathed out in exasperation. your body was pressed real tight against his, tits spilling out of the top of your dress against his chest—he couldn't look away. the bulge in his jeans rubbed against your lace panties from under your dress, soft moans leaving your mouths.
after the words left your mouth, he was quick to flip you over. “talking about lip, aren't you?” you couldn't form a response, only being able to nod as he kissed your neck. “he's a real cynic. forget about him, at least for tonight.”
it was easier said than done.
the first crack of dawn filtered through the windows, casting a pale glow across the room as you stirred from your sleep. you were naked next to carl, his arm placed messily against your tits due to the uncomfortable sleeping position. the hushed rustle of clothing and the creak of the bed were your attempt to leave without disturbing anyone, especially carl, but just as you were about to slip out, your heart stopped.
there, standing in the doorway, was lip, his eyes locked onto you with a mixture of shock and anger.
time seemed to stand still as you both stared at each other, a tense silence enveloping the room. then, the dam broke, and lip's anger burst forth like a storm unleashed. his voice was a roar, laughter hysterical, his words a torrent of rage as he accused you of betraying him with his own brother.
“you really couldn't help yourself, could you?” he spat, his voice dripping with venom. “fucking around with carl? are you that desperate?”
the accusation hit you like a punch to the gut, and before you knew it, you were on your feet, a fiery retort on your lips. “don't you dare act like you have any right to be angry, i get to fuck who i want, lip.”
the room became a battlefield, words like weapons as you hurled accusations at each other. the tension that had been building between you for so long finally exploded, the frustration and hurt pouring out in a torrent of anger. objects were knocked off surfaces, the crash of shattered glass punctuating the intensity of the argument. it filled you with fury, how he thought he had any right to be angry at you, despite your agreement.
lip's face contorted in a mix of disbelief and fury. “you think that gives you the right to fuck my brother? to act like nothing matters?”
“nothing does matter,” you yelled back, your voice laced with desperation. “we had an arrangement, lip, and you knew exactly what you were getting into. don't play the victim now.”
the fight raged on, a storm of emotions that neither of you could control. the boundaries you had carefully established had crumbled, leaving you both exposed and vulnerable. the accusations and hurtful words flew like daggers, each one cutting deeper than the last.
“whore around all you want,” his voice cracked as he spit the words out, right in your face. “just spread your poison somewhere else.”
eventually, the anger began to subside, replaced by a heavy silence. panting, your chests heaved as you glared at each other, the residue of the fight hanging in the air like a bitter taste. with a final, seething look, you turned on your heel and stormed out of the room, retreating from the chaos you had unleashed.
as you left the house and retreated back to the familiarity of your own space, a mix of emotions swirled within you. the confrontation had left scars, wounds that ran deeper than the surface. the lines had been crossed, the arrangement shattered, and the tangled mess of emotions was impossible to ignore.
the sun painted your room in gentle hues of gold as you slept, oblivious to the turmoil that had transpired the day before. unbeknownst to you, lip stood outside your window, a conflicted figure bathed in the soft light. the memory of you, peacefully asleep, stirred something within him, a mixture of regret and longing.
he knew he had to make things right. climbing onto the windowsill with a mix of determination and trepidation, he moved silently, careful not to wake you. his eyes lingered on your peaceful face, the lines of your features softened in slumber. his fingers traced the curve of your cheek, the touch featherlight as he stroked your skin. regret and tenderness intertwined as he watched you, his heart heavy with the weight of his emotions. he had to apologize, to make amends for the pain he had caused.
and then, your eyes fluttered open, startled by his presence. the initial confusion in your gaze gave way to surprise and a hint of vulnerability. before you could react, he spoke, his voice a quiet confession.
“i'm sorry,” he whispered, his gaze locked onto yours. “i let my jealousy get the best of me. it wasn't fair to you.”
the sincerity in his voice struck a chord within you, and as you took in his remorseful expression, the tension from the previous day seemed to fade away. you shifted in your bed, sitting up and giving him space to come in.
"i appreciate your honesty," you replied softly, your voice carrying a mix of caution and warmth. "but we can't keep going like this, lip. we need boundaries."
he nodded, understanding in his eyes. “you're right. i messed up, and i don't want to lose you.”
the vulnerability in his admission resonated with you, and you found yourself considering the possibility of something more. it was a risky leap, but the connection between you was undeniable.
with a determined glint in his eyes, lip reached out to take your hand. “i wanna try something different. something real. can we give this a shot?”
the air seemed to hang heavy with the weight of his question, and as you looked into his eyes, you saw a genuine desire for change. a flicker of hope ignited within you, and you found yourself nodding slowly.
“let's take it one step at a time,” you replied, your voice steady. “but we need ground rules, lip. no more secrets, no more jealousy. just honesty.”
he nodded fervently, a renewed determination in his expression. and so, as the light bathed the room, you and lip embarked on a new chapter, one that held the promise of something deeper and more meaningful.
Morning Affirmations
Lip Gallagher x female!reader
Requested: no
Summary: Lip walks in on his girlfriend singing to the younger kids while she gets them ready for the day. Takes place in season 4 after Liam gets home from the hospital
Warnings: few curse words, mentions of drug use (Fiona in jail) but overall, it’s just tons of FLUFF
A/N: inspired by “I love my body” by @mothermoon on TikTok. Might rewrite something similar for dad!lip, lmk what you think. Got bored before lab and wrote this
The floorboards creaked under every step Lip took to get down to the kitchen. He wasn’t too concerned with anything too wrapped up in his mind until two sweet voices pull him out.
“I love my body from my…”
“Head to my toes.”
Liam’s voice was hard to hear, even in the quietness of the unusually empty Gallagher house. Everyone was already at school or wherever they ran off to today—leaving Lip home alone to take care of some things.
Liam has only been home from the hospital for two days, leaving Lip and the rest of the family still scrambling without Fiona running the show. Lip had school off today, some random college holiday that didn’t make sense for a lot of people, but they took it anyway.
Lip had been out of bed since 5 that morning, unsure if it was considered a late night or an early morning due to the fact he hadn’t slept for more than a few hours the night before. His mind was going a million miles an hour, mixed with him worrying himself sick about Liam and going to check on him every thirty minutes. Every time he would get up from his bed, y/n would sit up, too. Her concerned look was always dismissed with a quick “go back to sleep” or “I’ll be back soon” from Lip. The “soon” in question was around five to ten minutes of Lip just sitting in front of Liam’s bed, watching his chest rise and fall.
Y/n stayed up and waited for Lip the first few times, but soon enough her eyes got too heavy for her to ignore. Even with the extra sleep, caffeine would be her best friend today.
Lip’s mind was still groggy as he trudged down the stairs, stress and sleep deprivation felt like chains were strapped to the back of his ankles. He barely made out the words y/n and Liam were exchanging.
“I love my face…” She lingered for a second, allowing Liam to think about the next verse. She smiles and continued on. “My-”
“Eyes, my mouth my nose.” Lip could help but smile at the sight of Liam touching every body part mentioned. He clearly knew this song, yet Lip couldn’t think of any of the words. When ever you would sing it to one of his younger siblings, all he could do was hear your voice. The kindergarten-teacher-like tone was enough for him to abandon all of his thoughts and focus on you.
“I like the way I look when I look in the mirror.” Liam didn’t have to wait for y/n this time, he sang it with her. Their voices both were quiet, almost scared to wake anyone up, but the house stayed quiet. It was just those three in that house, the outside world didn’t matter.
“I stand a little closer just to see a little clearer.” Both of their smiles were beaming. Liam giggling at y/n’s little tickles all over his belly and neck. Lip’s grew too. Y/n was so amazing with the kids, Lip could’ve sworn it as always been this way. Y/n and Lip, Lip and y/n. They belonged together.
Everyone in his family loved her. Carl made her a gift out of melted spoons and forks, Debbie demands they have a girls day at least once a month. Shit, even Frank called her “one of the good ones.” Technically it was after she downed a shot of vodka without even wincing, but he still liked her non the less.
Y/n turns around smiling, it only growing when she finally sees Lip.
“Good morning babe.”
“Morning babe!” Liam repeats immediatly, causing Lip and y/n to giggle with him.
Lip pours two cups of coffe before heading to the kitchen table. “Good morning to you.” He sets the coffe right in front of y/n while kissing her cheek. He carefully set his down too and kissed Liams cheek. “Good morning little man.”
