Authors Note: I didn’t update for two and a half months and said “lemme give you guys the best chapter yet” (imo). Thank you for being patient with me. I restarted school, closed one musical, opened and closed a 30 performance long run of another musical and literally fell in love with a man 16-years-older than me in that time lol. Also I wrote this in one sitting and I’m starting chapter 7 now 🫡. Its unedited be nice.
Also please do not make fun of me for using a Leah Michele song for this chapter its so good and it works really good so just shut up. Kloveyoubye

The summer starts to get hotter. A week passes and nothing changes, neither of them ever address the hand holding, Link is fixing the hole in the roof and Zelda is reteaching herself how to fix a clock, an activity she originally learned at the age of seven. Everything is so normal, the sun starts to set a little later, and the fireflies have started hatching.
Link never really thought he would end up in a position to do housework. He tried to get Bolson to fix the hole before Link bought it, but it would take a certain number of wood piles and when Link went out to get them he got a little distracted. And by distracted he means ending the sandstorm in the desert caused by the Divine Beast. It just got put on the back burner, and now here he is, using basic tools to hammer in new shingles. He wipes his brow, his shirt off again. He takes a look at the hammer in his hand, thinking about the savage Lynel sword that same hand has swung.
The passage of time is weird.
Maybe he does want to go back to work. Going from Demon slayer to roof repairman in two and a half weeks is a little jarring.
He hears a groan of frustration from inside the house, and makes his way inside, where it's much cooler.
“Everything alright?” He asks, looking at the girl who’s hunched over the kitchen table.
“No, this is absurd.” She slams the machine on the kitchen table. “I can’t remember how to do the most basic thing in engineering ever.” She frowns.
Link chuckles and places a dirty hand on her shoulder as he walks past her. He moves to the water basin and wets a cloth that he wraps around his neck. “I don’t know the first thing about that stuff, so you have me beat.” He shrugs. “Man, what I would give for an hour at Lurelin right now. Or better yet a weekend at Tabantha. I bet the weather there is a comfortable 60 degrees.” He sighs. Trying to slyly put the worm in Zelda’s ear about a possible trip.
Zelda groans, “I agree. I don’t remember it getting this hot.”
“This is just the beginning, wait until it’s the midsummer festival.”
“A festival?” Zelda’s face lights up.
Link nods, “It’s something they started about thirty years ago. It’s right here in Hateno. People from all parts of the kingdom will travel for it.” Link drinks some water, leading against the counter at the hip. Zelda makes special effort not to admire how his obliques curved. “There’s music and dancing, it’s quite fun. I was invited last year as a special guest. The “chosen hero” or something like that.” Link shrugs.
At that moment they hear a sharp knock on their door. It startles both of them. Link moves to answer it, setting the rag and cup down.
“Dantz, what is it?” Link says as he opens the door to a distressed farmer.
“Master Link, so good to see you,” His voice is shaky, “I didn’t know who else to go to.” Link listens more intently, Zelda even stands. “Two more of my cattle have been killed. When I heard you were back in town I knew you could help me. I don’t know who—or what—is killing them, but it's not a moblin. It’s something darker.” He’s speaking a mile a minute.
“Slow down,” Link stops him, “When did this happen?”
“In the night, I came here as soon as I could. They were covered in something… unnatural. Please, Link.”
Link turns back to look at Zelda. “Stay here.”
“What? No. I’ll come with you!” She moves to him and Link stops her. If this is anything like what Cado saw at the castle, he didn’t want her to be anywhere near it.
Link completely turns around and puts his hands on her shoulders, “Zelda, you cannot.” He stays sternly.
“Why? You don’t have to baby me. I can help you.”
“Zel-“
“I’m better! Please don’t leave me-“ Before she finishes the sentence she’s falling back down, like she was going to faint again. She had gotten herself worked up and now her heart was weary again. Link catches her before she falls, her knees knocking together.
“Oh, Goddess.” Dantz says. “Should I help?” He asks and Link snaps, telling him ‘no’ a little too forcefully.
“Zel, come on, let's get you to bed.” He wraps her arm around his shoulder. “Dantz, I’ll be there within the hour. I’m sorry.” Link says in a calmer tone.
“I understand, Link.” He nods and turns to leave.
Zelda can’t get up the stairs and Link picks her up, carrying her up to her room. He places her in bed as she starts to cry.
“Hey, hey it’s okay.” He brushes her hair out of her face. She takes his hand.
“No. It’s not.” She replies. “Stop telling me it’s okay.” She groans. “It’s ridiculous that I can’t do anything without this happening.” It was the second time this week.
“I have to go help them.” His hand is held back by her, but she eventually lets it go.
He turns to leave her, pulling his green tunic over his messy hair, and getting ready for combat. He isn’t even anticipating a fight, but he wants to be ready. He puts his gloves on, and straps both his sword and shield to his back. He even gets his bow ready because he has no idea what it might be. It sounds serious.
It’s the first time he’s been entirely suited-up since the castle. He forgot how natural it feels. He forgot how much he felt like himself.
Zelda has gotten up and stands at the railing of the loft. “Be careful.” She says in a weak voice.
Link looks up at her, he wants to stay here with her and hold her and let her know that it's going to be okay. “Please rest.”
He walks out the door.
The cattle are lying dead in the corner of the pasture. Flies buzz around them. Dantz and Link examine the scene, a pit in both their stomachs.
“What could it be?” Dantz asks.
Link crouches down, getting a closer look. The gunk is a deep maroon color, almost like malice but thinner, almost like a glossy serum as opposed to a thick slime. Link takes a risk and touches a bit of it that was strewn across the grass, rubbing it between his fingers. It didn’t seem to hurt him the way malice did. He sniffs it, it’s rotten and foul. He gags almost immediately. Link wipes his hand off in the grass.
“I’ve never seen anything like this.” He admits. “And I’ve seen a lot.” This was only confirming his worst fears.
“The other ones that were killed were left like this too.” Dantz explains, “There isn’t even any meat taken out of them, only their eyes are gouged out.” He points out.
“Whatever is killing them is doing it for sport.” Link stands back up and folds his arms. “This is bizarre, I must say.” It was starting to be late afternoon, he still had a few hours of sunlight. “What did you do with the other ones that were killed?” Link asks.
“We tried to clean them up and butcher them for food. But the meat inside was rotten, like it was poisoned under the skin.”
Link hears a giggle from behind them and turns around to see the two daughters of the rancher watching them from behind a post. When he catches them staring they both hide.
“How old are your girls?” He asks.
“Siva is eighteen and Catli is sixteen.” Dantz replies. “They are my pride and joy, I can’t let anything bad happen to them.”
Link advances towards them, “Girls.” He smiles, charming as ever. They both sneak out from behind the post, sheepish and giddy. The older steps forward.
“You’re the hero.” She puts her hands behind her back. Link nods.
“Can you girls show me the edge of your property?” He asks, wanting to test a theory. They both happily nod and start to lead him, he notices especially how Siva looks at him as she walks by. She was very agreeable: long, dark and curly hair and alluring eyes. He follows them. They take him past the fence and through the forest, the younger chatting and asking questions about his quests and whatnot. He just smiles and nods, answering with basic “yes’” or “no’s”.
Link’s theory starts to prove right, he sees a set of two acorns on the ground, then a pair of two foot tracks, and eventually, at the end of the property, where two songbirds lay dead at the bottom of a tree, both covered in the same strange goop. Whatever this is, it’s looking for things in pairs. Like two sisters.
Link would never imagine putting these girls in danger, and would send them home in about an hour or two when it started to get dark, he just wanted to lure out whatever was killing with a pair.
He sat down at the base of a tree, and listened as the girls talked themselves up, clearly competing with one another for who can be the most impressive to the hero. Link decides to let them have their fun, it’s not like he was getting this attention from Zelda.
Zelda.
She’s all he could think about. He listens to the girls for a full hour, but doesn’t comprehend a word they’re saying because all he can do is think about the woman he left at home. He wishes he hadn’t left her home, she’s probably sad and lonely. Or maybe she isn’t, perhaps she’s enjoying some alone time. He doubted it, though. He was sure she was fuming at him for just leaving her, for going in such a rush. Proximity can cause problems, maybe this was good for them.
Link must have zoned out because all of a sudden the younger sister was gone, and he was left alone with Siva. This was dangerous territory.
“Where did your sister go?” He asks, clearly uncomfortable.
“Oh! I told her to go get her tapestry to show you! Of course.” Siva says in a tone that was a little too flirty for Link’s liking. She sits next to him, facing him. Link knew the look on her face, and he knew he should stand up and put an end to whatever was about to happen. “Because you know… now we’re alone.” She sighs and leans in.
Stop. Stop. Stop. He tells himself but doesn’t move, he lets her place her lips on his.
Link is not an experienced kisser. He’s had a few drunken nights in the last three years where he ended up in a Gerudo’s bedchamber or a stable-workers hideout, and while those were all agreeable experiences, he’s never actively sought them out. It was always nice to get the tension from his journey off, though.
Link makes the mistake of kissing her back, and she’s sighing into his touch and he’s pulling her in. Being alone with a woman he’s been in love with for three years and not being able to touch her or talk to her the way he wants to has left him with a lot of pent up energy, it felt good to get it out.
Link puts his fingers through her hair, and starts to kiss down her jawline and neck and she’s letting out the prettiest little sounds.
And then he starts to think about Zelda. The sounds Zelda would make, the feeling of her hair intertwined in his fingers, how her lips would feel against his…
Zelda.
Zelda.
“Zelda.” He sighs, and then Savi is pulling away.
“Hm?” She asks, and Link is dazed and confused, thinking with anything other than his brain. He doesn’t know how long they were kissing because suddenly it's much darker outside, and if Dantz caught them like this, Link would be the one hunted down and killed, not whatever monster is out there.
Link immediately feels stupid, this was a rookie mistake. He shouldn’t have let it happen.
“What?” He responds to her, and then out of the corner of his eye, he sees something run behind the tree. “Shit.” He jumps up. “You need to go. Right now.” He pushes her back towards the house. It wasn’t far, she’d be okay. “Please don’t tell anyone about this.”
She nods, also remembering their reason for being out here. She runs back home and Link shakes his head, trying to refocus. He sees it again, it’s fast, moving from tree to tree, but further away. Link grunts and starts to slowly follow it. He isn’t sure if it saw him. It’s tall, and it’s dark. He would guess it’s a Moblin by its size but it's much too fast to be a moblin. Perhaps a wizzrobe? But he could hear its feet on the grass. Link starts the stalk, prowling towards it like a predator.
He doesn’t think it knows he’s following, because he’s able to follow it halfway up Madorna Mountain before he accidentally steps on a branch that snaps loudly. Again, a rookie mistake. Link was out of practice, rusty. He silently curses himself for that. The beast turns around to look at Link, but he’s able to hide behind an oak tree. It was still a little light out, and the lights from down were getting smaller and smaller as they worked their way up the mountain.
Link stayed vigilant. It’s been a long time since he’s had to fight a new enemy, and he wasn’t sure how powerful this was going to be. It gets quiet, he doesn’t hear it move. Even with Link’s impaired hearing, he had a knack for the details, but not today, not now. A cricket chirps but it’s silenced halfway through its sound. The wind goes still. A cloud covers the moon.
He girds up, and moves from behind the tree to keep following it, but he’s met with a horrific sight.
The creature is standing there, about six feet away from Link.
It startles him. He’s met with a feeling of dread.
It’s tall, probably seven feet. It’s hunched down, a humanoid-sort of beast that looks like a shadow covered in the same maroon gloop as the animals.
Link freezes up, he is paralyzed with fear because he knows exactly what it is.
He knows who it is.
It opens its eyes, those awful, yellow, glowing eyes. He chuckles at Link and it fills his skull. It wasn’t quite human, like it was a pile of goo that was regaining its strength and slowly rebuilding itself into a human. Into a phantom.
They stare at one another, his laughter taunts Link. Link can hear his heartbeat in his ears. His palms start to sweat. He is met with the images of three weeks ago. The battle, the castle, the evil.
Ganon.
Or at least some form of him.
He doesn’t move, he just laughs at Link. The boy swallows, and he wants to run, but he rolls his shoulders back.
“Courage and Bravery are two different things.” Zelda’s words ring in his memory.
He grabs his sword.
The Master Sword unsheathes with a light ring, and it glows in the darkness.
In an instant, the monster is screeching and howling like a Lynel and melting away from the light of the sword. The pure power of the holy blade made the beast slowly melt into the ground, like an ice cube in the desert. It covered its eyes, and screlted into the forest, echoing no doubt into town.
Link walked closer to it, waving the blade, spinning it in his hand until the creature was completely put away.
Whatever that was, it isn’t very strong. It will surely get stronger, though. Link had a feeling this was not the end of it. It left behind a puddle of goop. Link’s stomach dropped when he realized why it was killing for sport and in pairs of two. It was probably seeking Him and Zelda. Unable to differentiate what living things were hylian and what was cattle or animals. The stealing of the eyes surely had something to do with it regaining its strength, but what?
How did it know to come look in Hateno already?
After sheathing the sword and thanking the Goddess, Link took a moment to bury the secretment. He still felt sick to his stomach. Why did he freeze up like that?
Maybe that final battle had more of an effect on him than he thought.
He heads home, explaining to Dantz what had happened and what he saw, sugar-coating it a little and just saying it was a ghost. Link wasn’t sure how long it would stay away for, but hopefully long enough he could talk to Impa about it. Clearly the Master Sword was protecting him. He made a special effort to avoid Savi.
When he gets home, he drops his equipment off, pulling his gloves and boots off and leaving it all in his little corner downstairs. He pulls his shirt off. He would sleep out with Epona again tonight, he would need to to avoid the nightmares. His Mare had that effect on him. The feeling of safety and home.
Zelda was asleep, snoring lightly in her bed. He stayed quiet and went to sit at the table, grabbing a baked apple to silence his rumbling stomach. Guilt washed over him as he remembered what he did today. Savi came onto him, but he knows he shouldn’t have let that happen. He was ashamed of his conduct.
The laughter of the phantom rang in his ears. Flashes of its grin and glowing eyes projected in his mind. He felt ill.
Link disassociated. He sat at the table for three hours and it went by in minutes.
What snaps him out of it are the screams of terror he hears from upstairs.
His mind immediately jumps to the worst possible situation. He grabs the master sword and sprints upstairs. He sees nothing but a scared girl, crying from a nightmare.
“Zelda, what is it?” He asks, setting the sword town and running to her. He kneels by her bed and takes her hand. “I’m here, what’s wrong.” He whispers.
“You’re here?”
“I’m here.”
“B-but. The guardian, it got you. It killed-”
“It was just a nightmare, it wasn’t real.” Link reassures her. “I’m here, breathing, alive as ever.”
Zelda shakes her head, she’s clearly so traumatized that she cannot differentiate dream from reality anymore, she probably thinks him saying that is the dream.
“Here, feel.” He grabs her hand and places it against his chest where his heart is. “Feel that?” He asks, “Bum-bum. Bum-bum.” He whispers. “That’s my heart. Its pumping, it's beating.” Zelda sobs and he pulls her into his chest. “It’s okay, I got you. I’m here.”
He holds her for a moment and then stands up, “I’ll get the stool if it will help you sleep.” He turns to go.
“Stay with me.” She asks, tears wetting his collarbone.
“I’ll be right here, I’ll grab the stool.” He says.
“No, stay with me.” She says, and gestures to the bed.
“What?”
“Please. I cannot sleep without you by my side. I’m too afraid I’m going to lose you again.” She sniffles.
“Zelda I can’t-“
“Why?” She asks. “Because of decorum? Because I’m royal? Because you don't want to get caught?” She picks up her hands ‘None of that matters anymore’ she signs.
Link nods, “Are you sure?”
“Please.” She pleads.
Link moves back to her, trying to control his racing heart. Zelda scoots over to she’s closer to the wall, and Link carefully crawls into the covers of the bed. There wasn’t a ton of room, there would be no way for them to lay in the bed without being in full contact. “Is this okay?” He asks as he pulls the covers up.
She nods.
“Hold me?” She asks.
Link looks at her and it takes every ounce of his self-control not to kiss her. He nods and lays his head down, his chest facing up. He pulls her into his chest, wrapping his left arm around her shoulders and his right arm over his stomach to her waist. She tries to control her breathing, and it gets easier as their hearts begin to sync up.
Link wants to cry too, because this is the safest he has felt in a hundred and three years. This is the most at home he has ever been. He mentally-pinches himself because he’s sure he’s dreaming. But he doesn’t wake up, in fact, he starts to fall into the deepest sleep he’s ever had.
Every muscle in his body starts to relax, his eyes get heavy, and the scent of the girl on his chest fills his dreams with images of fairy forests and gentle ocean waves and the time of day when the sun moves into twilight.
This is home.

Fierce Deity AU
Masterlist
I'm going to respond soon, this was in my drafts and I wanted to post something before I go out again my sweetlings!
Fierce wanted to buy this outfit after seeing Wild wear it once and he wanted to try it out, turns out it's more comfortable than he thought it would be and forced Wild to take a picture of him posing with Furious Deity weapon with its own little design!
I'm thinking of adding some powers similar to the inflamed Vengeful Deity Mask's in Hyrule Warriors! Make it spicy!
I wonder how Wars would react to seeing the weapon be as its full potential from its true master seeing he knows the weapon from Hyrule Warriors...👀✨
Just don't tell the others that Fierce likes the fashion of Wild's hyrule and the fact that he threatened Wild by wanting to tell the chain the secret about the Vai outfit Wild has-

The Vigilante
Tumblr media
BOTW Link x Hylian! GN reader
Warning: Mentions of blood, slight angst
I do not own any gifs used
for the purpose of this story I added some things
A Hero is born to protect, but even a hero needs protection....
[ reader pov ]
I was one of the few selected to protect Princess Zelda, but also to aid Link.
I was trained by the sheikah and also alongside the knights of Hyrule. I was skilled and one of the few who could keep up with Link. Not only that, I had also had a marking of a great protector of the hero of time. So began my story.
When I was not protecting Link and Zelda, I was a vigilante, silent in the night awaiting for the Yiga clan to strike once again. They had failed multiple times when I had been on patrol but soon enough talk about a infamous vigilante rose.
" I wonder who they could be, we may want to even recruit them." said Princess Zelda as Link and I had followed her to Gerudo desert. The air was dry and we were covered in sweat.
" Perhaps princess." I lazily replied, the infamous Gerudo outfit clinging to my skin due to the glistening sweat.
" We are almost there, these clothing are perfect way to blend in with the Gerudo. "
" Except our short stature."
Princess Zelda could not help but giggle. at my statement. We continued onward entering the city and exploring while Princess Zelda had met with Lady Urbosa. Link was closely following me observing my every movement.
" What is it ?"
I thought he was mute when I first met him, but he was just a man of little words.
"Where were you last night ?" He asked.
" I was asleep."
" No you were not."
" How would you know?"
" I went to your bedroom and you were not there."
" And why did you come to my bedroom ?"
He stayed quiet and turned away from me, I could not help but smile. I had developed feelings for the knight, but sometimes I feel like these feelings develop purely out of my duty to protect him. I dislike fate, but it feels as if my path has been chosen for me, it also seemed more fitting for a princess to be with a knight.
I heard yells from the outside of the town, I quickly ran, Link in pursuit to see some guards fighting the Yiga who had seemingly snuck into the town and seemed to be running with many expensive goods.
poof !
They disappeared.
" Link, go to Princess Zelda, I have a bad feeling about this."
He nodded and ran towards where she was as I quickly climbed up the buildings and spotted many Yiga heading towards the town. Gerudo women are strong but there seemed to be more Yiga and some Moblins ?
"Tsk." I quickly loaded some bomb arrows and started shooting the large groups. One by one yells were heard.
" {y/n} ! " I heard my name, I put a hood on and quickly ran towards where I heard it. There I saw Yiga surrounding Link who had been wounded. They are coming from every entrance.
I grabbed soem shock arrows and began shooting.
" The Vigilante !" I heard as I kept shooting and hitting them one by one, soon enough they were no longer surrounded.
" Where are they ?! " Yelled Zelda. Link was worried, holding his wound as he tried to look around while covering Zelda from danger. Then in that instant he made eye contact with me, the vigilante.
He showed relief in his face but then fear as he yelled " Watch out !" I quickly turned to see a Yiga member.
" The Vigilante is in trouble !"
" Seize them !" The Gerudo women tried to get both Yiga and I but I quickly got away into the alley way to completely stip myself of my very poor disguise. As I left the hood hidden I turn to face Link.
" Link the princess where is she ?!"
" I am right here."
" um..."
" You're the vigilante. "
" ....unfortunately."
" you were brilliant ! I have never seen you in action until today !"
Zelda seemed excited at the discovery that I was the Vigilante. Link furrowed his eyebrows as he lifted his hand to smack the back of my head," You could have died."
"OW ! why did you have to hit me ?!"
" For lying. "
Zelda was smiling at our interaction and spoke," Well I will be with Lady Urobosa in the palace speaking about private matters, and perhaps about strengthening security." She walked away and there I stood awkwardly.
Link then grunted and I remembered," Link you're hurt." I put his arm over my shoulder and we walked towards the Guards barracks so we could fix him up.
" Do you need me to wrap her ?"
" no no its fine, she's very shy." I smiled and helped Link into the room and closed the door.
" Phew, we wouldve been kicked out."
He took off the top and I began to clean his wound, it was not deep but I could tell it was painful.
" I wonder why those Yigas decided to plan an attack."
" Many work alongside Ganon."
" Link...are you scared ?"
" Scared ?"
" Yes of the Calamity ?"
"..."
His silence spoke for him. After I wrapped him, I placed my arms around his shoulder and embraced him close to me.
I whispered," I will always protect you, even if I wasn't bound to you, I will always be there by your side."

Summer Camp - Part Two
Tumblr media
Pairing: Link x Reader
Words: 2600+
Hey, lovelies! I apologize it’s been a while since I’ve posted a fic. My headspace has been very funky for the past few weeks. I thought about doing a part two of Link’s summer camp au when I was re-reading it. You can read the first part here. I hope you guys enjoy! xox
One Year Later
You pull into the Crescent Lake Summer Camp parking lot, looking aimlessly for Link's vehicle. A frown comes to your lips when you don't see it, wondering if he backed out of his promise.
"You're going to come back next summer, right?" You ask Link as the two of you stand next to your vehicle.
The dirty blonde sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "Oh, Y/N, I don't know-"
"Oh, come on! You changed so much over the four weeks," you playfully pout, resting your hands on his forearms. "Plus, I don't want to think I'll never see you again."
Link chuckles and wets his lips. "I have your number. I'm pretty sure you'll see me," he reminds you with a smirk.
You roll your eyes and lean against your car door. "Can't you just humor me," you sigh, crossing your arms over your chest.
Jack walks past your car and both you and Link glance in his direction. Link finds himself leaning forward, his chest inches from yours.
You shift your gaze to Link, your cheeks blushing at how close he is. The cologne he's wearing fills your nose and you find yourself leaning closer to him.
"I'll come next year if he's here," he whispers into your ear, one of his hands moving to your hips.
"Yeah?" You whisper back. "You promise?"
Link pulls back from you and smiles down at you. "I promise," he laughs.
You turn your vehicle off after parking your car. You exit the vehicle before grabbing the backpack from your passenger seat. You release a huff of breath and glance toward the group of counselors.
This year there are ten counselors, the most this summer camp has ever had. Thankfully, there's a good assortment of male and female counselors. You grab your luggage from your trunk before grouping up with everyone else.
Leia notices you first and you're shocked when she doesn't run to you. Your brows furrow and you wonder if you've done something wrong.
Jack suddenly walks up to the group, causing your back to stiffen. You reach for the phone in your pocket when you notice him walking towards Leia. What the hell? You think to yourself as he wraps an arm around her shoulders.
The meeting doesn't last very long before everyone disperses. You travel to the cabin you'll be staying in, glad to have the one that houses only one person. You plop down onto the bed and run a hand through your hair.
"Well, this year is going to suck," you sigh loudly and glance towards your luggage.
A knock rattles against your cabin door, snapping you from your daze. You stand up from your spot before walking over to the screen door. Kathleen stands on the tiny porch and gives you a wave.
"Hi, Y/N," she smiles at you. You smile back at her and invite her into the cabin.
"Hey, Kat. Nice job getting a good amount of counselors," you plaster on a fake smile while sitting back down on the full-size bed.
Kathleen laughs and nods her head. "Yeah! I'm very surprised at the turnout this year. Although, I was hoping Link would've come back," she mentions with a sigh.
"You and me both," you mumble while fiddling with the ends of your hair.
"If things become too much just let me know, okay?" She reassures you.
She must've noticed how close Jack and Leia were as well.
"Yeah, sure," you give her a smile and a firm nod.
Kathleen claps her hands together and releases a deep breath. "Alright. I'll leave you be. See you in the morning," she smiles down at you before making her way towards the door.
You bid her goodbye as she leaves your cabin. You tuck your hair behind your ears before getting up, deciding to unpack.
Hopefully, these next four weeks fly by.
-
Night falls at Crescent Lake Summer Camp and you look out the screen door. The cicadas are as loud as ever. You tuck your beach towel under your arm before walking out of the cabin.
You trek along the wooden trail that leads towards the small beach. The flashlight on your phone shines against the stained wood as a thousand scenarios run through your head of how this summer will play out.
You shake your head when you reach the private beach and you decide to turn on some music to distract you. You set your towel onto the sand and place your phone on top of it. You strip your tank top and shorts off before making your way into the water.
The tips of your fingers glide against the surface, a little relieved that the water isn't too cold. You walk out far enough before lowering yourself into the lake. You float on your back and look up at the stars.
Why would Leia hang around him? She knows what you went through… Your brows furrow as you try to figure out what possibly could have happened.
"Haven't I told you that you shouldn't be out here alone?" A familiar voice startles you, causing your limbs to flail in the water.
You quickly pick yourself up and glance towards the shore, seeing Link standing beside your stuff. "Link!" You gasp and rush towards the dirty blonde.
Your body crashes into his, wrapping your arms around his neck. Link circles his arms around your waist and lifts you off your feet. You nuzzle your face into his neck, your fingers combing through his hair.
"I'm so glad you're here," you mumble against his skin.
"I promised, didn't I?" He mentions and you pull away from him. Link smiles down at you and moves the wet hair out of your face.
You smile at him as your hands rest on his shoulders. Butterflies swarm around your stomach, not surprised that he still makes you giddy and nervous.
"Where are you staying? Does Kat know you arrived?" You fire off a couple of questions. Your gaze moves to the shirt he's wearing, noticing the large wet spot. "Shit, I'm sorry about your shirt."
Link laughs and glances down at his shirt. "It's fine. By the time I arrived everyone was asleep, so I came right here," he informs you.
You're quickly getting dressed as he explains his situation to you. The two of you start to walk back towards the cabins when you finally say something. "I-If you want, you can stay with me tonight. I don't have any roommates and I have a full-size bed," you offer him while jabbing your thumb in the direction of the cabins.
He smirks and casts his gaze towards the sandy ground. "You want me to sleep with you?" Link teases you.
Your eyes widen and your cheeks blush. "I-I- No, t-that's-"
"I'm kidding," he cuts you off with a chuckle, bringing his hand to your shoulder. "I know what you mean, and I will gladly take you up on your offer."
You roll your eyes at the dirty blonde before releasing a scoff. "I hate you," you laugh and smack his chest.
Link catches your hand and pulls you into his chest. A gasp leaves your lips as you fall into him, your free hand moving to his torso. "C'mon, you don't hate me," he grins, "who else would you hang out with this summer?"
A tinge of hurt spreads throughout your body at his words, remembering that Leia hasn't spoken to you since you arrived. "Yeah, you're right about that one," you sigh before removing yourself from his grip.
He catches onto your sadness and a frown replaces the smile on his lips. "Hey, what happened?" Link asks and lifts your chin.
You meet his honey-brown eyes and feel his hands gently rubbing your forearms. "I-I think Jack and Leia are together," you tell him your suspicions before giving him a fake smile. "She hasn't said a single word to me since I arrived earlier."
"Shit, really?" He mutters with furrowed brows. You hum in response as the two of you begin to make your way back towards your cabin. "I thought Leia wasn't a fan of him?"
"Yeah," you snort while shaking your head, looking down at your feet as you walk, "I thought so too. People change, I guess."
Link keeps his eyes on you. He wets his lips as your last sentence sticks with him. People change. You changed me… He wraps his arm around your shoulders, bringing you into his chest.
You wrap your arms around his waist before nuzzling your face into the shirt he's wearing, his steps begin to slow and the two of you come to a stop. "I brought something that could take the edge off," he mumbles before glancing down at you.
"Oh?" You ask while taking a step back. Link slips his hand into his pocket before pulling a small zip lock bag out. Your eyes widen, seeing the perfectly rolled joint sitting in the plastic bag. "You brought drugs to a kid's summer camp?!"
You slap his arm and Link moves away from you, avoiding your slaps. "Hey! It's only one!" He defends himself with a laugh. "I forgot to take it out before I left."
Link slips his free hand into yours, lacing your fingers together before leading you away from the camp. "Link!" You hiss, stumbling after him. "You can't be serious!"
He looks back at you, a smirk on his lips. "Oh, I'm one hundred percent serious, baby," Link winks, causing your cheeks to blush.
The two of you stop after walking for two minutes. The moon shines brightly in the sky as you watch him remove the joint from his baggie.
You grow nervous, having never smoked weed before. You chew on your top lip as Link places the joint between his lips before lighting it.
He blows the smoke past his lips and makes eye contact with you. That's… attractive. You think to yourself as he passes it to you. You stare at it for a good minute before lifting your gaze to meet him.
"This is gonna sound so stupid but I-I don't really know what to do," you mutter, stuttering over a couple of words.
Link chuckles and lets out a hum. "That's cute," he says while stepping closer to you. The blush on your cheeks darkens, feeling the embarrassment run up your spine. He points to the filter at the end. "Place this between your lips and suck in."
You take the joint from his hand, holding it between your thumb and index finger. Link's free hand rests on your waist, gently stroking your clothed side. You take a hit from the joint, the smell of it filling your nostrils.
"Suck in again before blowing out," he whispers with a soft smile.
You do what he says, feeling the burning in your throat as the smoke blows in his face. A smug smile comes to Link's lips, and you start to cough.
You cough into the crook of your elbow, handing the joint back to Link. "Jesus," you mutter, your eyes watering. "You do this a lot?"
Link shrugs his shoulders and takes another hit. "Eh, mainly if I stressed," he mentions and holds the joint towards you.
"I don't think I could do that again," you laugh while tucking your hair behind your ear.
"How about this-" he cuts himself off and takes a long hit. He brings his free hand up to your neck before pulling you closer.
Your breath hitches, not really knowing what he's doing, as his lips get closer to yours. Link blows the smoke past your lips and whispers for you to inhale. You suck in until your lungs start to scream, blowing out immediately after.
His tongue pokes through his lips, wetting them before smirking. "You blow my mind every time I see you," he whispers to you, his gaze dropping to your lips.
A soft chuckle leaves your lips, your body slowly growing heavier. "H-How?" You stumble over your words, feeling his breath fanning the lower half of your face.
"I never would have guessed that you'd be here, sharing a joint with me," Link elaborates.
"I certainly didn't think I would either, to be honest," you mention while fumbling with the hem of your shirt. "There's probably a lot of stuff I wouldn't have done if I hadn't met you."
The dirty blonde's fingers make their way to your cheek, stroking it gently. "Is that a good or bad thing?" He asks in a hushed whisper.
"I don't think it's a bad thing," you shrug your shoulders. Your cheeks warm up under his touch as you find yourselves getting closer.
"I really, really want to kiss you," Link mumbles loud enough for you to hear.
Your heart pounds against your chest as your body begins to feel lighter. "You want to kiss me?" You ask in disbelief.
Link wets his lips and he nods his head in reply. "Of course I do. I have for about a year," he confesses to you.
You bring your hands to his face, gently trailing your fingertips along his skin. "You can kiss me if you want," you whisper while staring at his lips.
"Yeah?"
You nod as Link pulls you onto his lap. You straddle his hips, moving one of your hands into his hair. Link slides his hands up your back, feeling his nails dig lightly into you.
His hand rests on the back of your neck before pulling you in. You tug on his hair when his lips meet yours, and you moan into the kiss.
The kiss doesn't last very long before Link pulls back from you. You follow his movements, not wanting to stop just yet. A chuckle leaves his lips and one of his hands cups your cheek.
"So eager," he hums, placing a quick kiss on your lips. He smirks at you while stroking your skin, his eyes shifting from your lips and meeting your gaze.
"We should head back," you mumble to him before attempting to get up from his lap.
His honey-brown eyes stay on your figure the entire time, a sloppy grin sitting on his lips. You wipe the grass and dirt off of your knees before meeting his gaze.
"Do you need help?" You giggle while holding out your hand.
Link grabs your hand and you help him off the ground. He stumbles a bit and you move your hands to his waist, steadying him as best as you can. "Thanks, cutie," he grins, pressing a sloppy kiss to your cheek.
Your heart feels like it's beating a million miles per minute as the two of you begin your trek back towards camp. You glance towards him during the walk, your hands brushing against one another every few seconds.
"I'm really glad you're here," you whisper loud enough for him to hear, your pinky finger hooking with his.
The dirty blonde looks down at your hands for a few seconds before he laces his fingers with yours. Your heart flutters in your chest and you squeeze his hand.
"You're truly a miracle, Y/N," Link sighs, the corner of his lips tugging upward.
A smile graces your lips and you lean your head against his bicep. "Would you wanna grab dinner after summer camp is over?" You ask him shyly, tilting your head to look up at him.
Link shifts his gaze towards you and smiles. "Yeah, I'd love to," he mentions while dragging his thumb across your bottom lip. "As long as I get to pay."
You scoff, shaking your head. "Fine, but I'm paying next time."

I WROTE A SAD LINK FIC!!
Tumblr media
All hurt no comfort, link is very depressed and having an existential crisis when he finds a certain Poe at the secret spring of revival.
Collecting Poes was something new, but Link treated it the same as everything else. A task he was given because they knew he would see it through. He was a reliable person. It’s just how he’s always been, or at least what he’s been told he was like.
It was difficult to not remember things, but it was refreshing in a way. He was given a completely new start, in a new world. He didn’t really know anything but post-calamity Hyrule and the now upheaved Hyrule. Having Zelda far away was extremely difficult, but Link was able to push through it knowing that he was simply a person who could overcome all odds. After all, he had been dead and fully resurrected before. What’s a better comeback story? A hero who faced his death, only to come back to life and defeat the same evil that had killed him. Impa thought the truth behind his death was something that Link wasn’t ready for after he first woke up, but after he learned the truth, he was overcome with even more courage and bravery. Perhaps not knowing more than that was good for him.
Link snapped out of his thoughts once he approached the cluster of souls. He tossed a brightbloom seed onto the ground to light up his surroundings. He didn’t want to face another surprise run-in with a frox. He was enjoying his menial task of collecting lost souls and thinking about his own soul.
He was mostly sure he has one. He is allegedly the reincarnation of the legendary hero, and a soul would have to carry that reincarnation, wouldn’t it? But still, Link couldn’t shake the feeling that something might be wrong with his. Insecurities crept into his mind about his resurrection. Why had he never felt complete, like a huge part of him was missing? Is it because he is missing the memories of his previous life? Is that just a part of being resurrected, never feeling like a regular person again? Was something left behind at Fort Haento on the day that he—
Splash. Great. So lost in his thoughts, he’s waded into the water. The warm bubbling water tickles his boots. Link blindly throws another glow seed, this time higher up. It catches on a wall and illuminates his surroundings.
“This is… a… spring?” Link says to himself, reaching down to feel the warmth. He’s soaked in many hot springs across Hyrule, but this one somehow feels the most… refreshing? It looks like it was built by the Zoni, with carvings and structures built around the body of water. He pulls out his Purah pad to check his location; he’s mainly been just wandering around the depths, avoiding monsters and beasts, following the glow of Poes. Looking down at his map, Link sees where he is.
He’s underneath the Great Plateau, and more specifically at the Spring of Revival.
Underneath where the Shrine of Resurrection once stood.
His mind started racing, and he begins to feel intense emotions, like he did when he first awoke. Deciding it’s only from the exhaustion of aimlessly traveling for a few days without rest or eating, Link takes the somewhat comforting surroundings to set up camp for the night. He makes a fire, cooks a quick meal, and sets up his bed. Before resting, he decides there’s no reason not to enjoy the spring and strips down.
He floats in the water for what must be an hour, and during that time, his mind is completely empty. The water makes him forget everything. It’s the most peaceful he has ever felt, or at least as far as he remembers. No particular emotion or reasons pull him out of the spring, other than him deciding he is done soaking. He looks around at the Poes surrounding the spring. Some are larger than others, and different colors. A huge, very bright Poe floats above the middle of the spring. Link is sure that the bargainer will reward him well for a Poe of that size.
“They’re not going anywhere. I’ll collect them when I wake up.” He tells himself before laying down and drifting off.
Link is no stranger to nightmares. Since he woke up, it has been pure terror every night. He doesn’t understand most of them, but the ones he does have very heavy symbolism that would be hard to miss. But tonight, Link has a good dream for the first time in, well, ever.
He is a little boy, probably 3 or 4. There is a blonde woman whom he feels nothing but love and gratefulness for. She is cooking something over a pot. She picks Link up, puts an herb in his hand, and asks, “Are you ready to add the special ingredient?” In the sweetest voice Link has ever heard. Link throws the plant in, and she squeezes him tight and kisses his cheek.
“You know, I came up with this recipe just for you!” She says as she puts him down. She grabs a spoon and scoops a small amount of liquid from the pot, being sure to blow on it before offering it to Link.
“Want to try it, hon?” She says beaming with joy. Link slurps up the contents before she’s even finished offering it; it’s the most delicious thing he’s ever tasted. A thick and hearty soup; he can taste the meat, carrots, tomatoes, and the herbs.
Link wakes up before he’s ready to leave the dream, feeling disoriented over seeing his surroundings in the depths, and not the brightly lit and comforting home he was just in. He takes a few minutes to adjust, before the shock hits him that he had a nice dream. It’s far more disorienting than waking up sweating, heart pounding from a nightmare. He almost thinks that he would have preferred the reoccurring dream where he’s eaten by a frox, and his bones are crushed by its teeth before he has a chance to pull out his sword. At least that one is consistent, and the symbolism remains clear.
His stomach growls. To be fair, he had a very light dinner the night before, and it would do him well to eat again. All he wants is that soup. He pulls out the ingredients. It had meat, carrots, tomatoes, and… an herb. He makes the soup, using Hyrule herb. Nope, not it. Amorath? Nope, wrong flavor. Saffina? Absolutely not. He’s made 3 types of soup by now and admits defeat. He eats all 3, enjoying them all, even though it wasn’t exactly what he wanted.
“It’s soup from a dream, that flavor probably doesn’t even exist,” he tells himself as he looks at the shimmering spring water.
The Poes. Wandering souls, patiently waiting for Link to collect them. He starts his rounds, collecting the clusters of smaller blue ones first, then the larger ones. The last Poe to collect is the massive one that’s in the middle of the spring. “Ah, I guess I have to go back in the spring,” Link jokes to himself as he takes off his clothes again.
Into the water, the calming, perfect-temperature water. The dream is gone from his mind now, along with everything else, leaving him in a tranquil serenity. He revels in the static sensation and effortlessly drifts on his back once more. He closes his eyes and savors each breath, inhaling and exhaling, in and out.
When he opens his eyes, he finds himself suspended in the heart of the spring. The colossal Poe hovers mere inches above him, radiating an ethereal glow and shimmer. Link reaches out, and the moment his fingers make contact, everything comes back.
It's an overwhelming surge of emotions, a cascade of a lifetime's memories and feelings. He recollects everything. A tsunami of confusion, sorrow, and fury inundates his senses. He momentarily believes he's drowning, but realizes he's still floating on his back.
He kicks and splashes vigorously until he's out of the water, where he simply lies for a moment, still entirely in shock. With trembling hands, he delves into his pouch and retrieves the ingredient. He haphazardly empties its contents into the cooking pot, vigilantly observing as it gently simmers. His heart pounds so forcefully that he fears it might burst, the rush of blood echoing loudly in his ears. With tear-filled eyes, he scoops out a spoonful and cautiously tastes his soup.
His mother's special ingredient was mighty thistle.

Link Fanfic - The Beginning of Something
Part 7
Of all the places in Hyrule Maari had wanted to see, the castle had not been top of her list. And the impression it left her with was not a pleasant one. For one thing, it smelled. Everything was damp from where there were holes in the roof. The stench of ancient monster nests permiated the remnants of tapestries and flags, which hung lifeless and gloomy against the walls.
"Bit different to what it looks like in my day," Wars remarked quietly, holding out a torch to light their way along a dingy corridor.
"You mean besides the fact that we're hundreds of feet in the air in a gravity defying building?" Maari replied, with just a hint of sarcasm.
"You're secretly funny aren't you," Wars teased.
"I have many secrets, I'm a spy remember."
They chuckled at one another until they reached a large archway where one and a half sets of stairs lead down into an enormous room. In the meagre light from the lantern and the fading light through the ceiling, Maari and Wars could make out the rows and rows of shelves lining the walls.
"Well, I think we found the library," Wars said, stating the obvious. "Watch yourself on the stairs and start looking for signs of the researchers."
Although there was no one arround they both remained silent as they moved about the room. Perhaps it was simply because it was a library. Even without any books left on the shelves it seemed the compulsion to keep quiet was still strong. Maari would say later that it was probably their silence which saved their lives.
The first thing Maari noticed was a sound like a wooden cane tapping on stone. It was rhythmic but also sporadic at times. As though someone were tapping out a tune but then rushing through segments. She counted beats of eight. On the other side of the room Warriors was sweeping his torch across the floor looking for clues. Maari managed to catch his eye and tapped the side of her head, hoping Wars would understand she meant listen. Luckily he had spent enough time coming up with silent signals that this one was obvious enough.
They both stopped where they stood. Listening to the lifeless castle around them. The tapping paused, then all of a sudden it continued and Maari was alarmed as she realised it was getting louder. She pointed quickly to a large bookcase in the middle of the room and made a bee line for it. Warriors did the same and the pair squatted on the floor together, torch extinguished.
Maari drew the two ring daggers from her belt and listened. Beside her Wars drew his long-sword and pulled a shield off his back. They waited, listening to the tapping sound growing louder and louder.
Something entered the library.
Maari could hear more than the original sets of eight taps now. Whatever it was, it wasn't a stick and there was more than one of them. She glanced beside her at Wars. She wanted to ask him if he had a plan, but was too afraid that any sound might give them away and spoil their element of surprise. He seemed to read her expression, he nodded to her left and then to his right. Seeming to suggest that they should go in different directions. Given he had his hands full he couldn't sign anything to her, so that was all he could do.
Maari started to count, wordlessly mouthing the numbers.
"Three, two, one... Go!"
On go the pair span out from their hiding place to come face to face with three horse sized spiders. Ignoring her initial shock Maari dashed at the nearest beast and ducked to avoid a leg which came crashing towards her.
Wars held his sword ready, shield up to protect himself. The spider on his side of the room raised its head and hissed at him. Big mistake. It gave Wars the opening he needed to jam his blade up into it's head through it's mouth. A wash of green sludge poured down his arm and a small ammount of bile tried to climb up his throat. But he swallowed and pushed it back down and kept going.
Maari slid on a wet patch of floor and ended up on her back underneath the first spider. Rather than scramble to her feet she stabbed upwards into the creature's thorax, leaving two deep gashes where she hoped there might be some vital organs. The creature screamed something terrible, like the sound of nails on a chalkboard. Maari winced and rolled out of the way before the spider slammed into the ground, it's legs curling in on itself.
Unfortunately she rolled right into the path of the third spider which stabbed it's mandibles down towards her. In a split second Warrior's shield was between her and the spider's fangs. She looked up to find his face inches away from hers, leaning on his sword for support.
"Hey," he said, nonchalantly. "How you doing?"
"Not too bad, you?" She replied, amazed at his ability to appear candid even mid battle.
In their moment of distraction however, the spider standing over them regained its balance and kicked at them both with its front legs. Wars went spinning into a bookcase while Maari crashed into the remains of a display cabinet, dropping her draggers in the process. The spider took a moment to choose its target, having launched them in opposite directions, and opted for Warriors. Maari took the opportunity to pull the katana from her back and suck in a full breath of air.
She waited until the spider had fully rounded on Wars before pushing off the floor and charging towards the creature. Using a chair as a spring point, she leapt forwards, high enough so that she was above the spider. In a swift movement she plunged the sword down into it's head, pulling as she rolled forwards. The spiders head split in two, spilling green sludge all over the floor and a little over Warriors too.
Coming to a rolling stop beside Wars, Maari glanced behind her to check that all three spiders were dead before breathing a sigh of relief. Wars was left to stare dumbfounded at her handiwork.
"I'm starting to think nine heroes is eight too many. I'm pretty sure you and I could solve the monster problem in just a a few days given the chance!" He exhaled in a few quick breaths. Maari stared at him for a second before she burst out laughing.
She quickly stopped however as the laughter caused her a great pain in her torso. Her hand flew to a spot on her left side beneath her ribs.
"Argh," she hissed. "Damn glass, I didn't feel it cut me."
Wars looked over at the display case she had collided with and at the broken glass littering the floor. He thought all things considered, Maari had come away fairly unscathed.
"We should probably clean that before we get going. Who knows what's on that glass, not to mention whether you got any of that stuff on you," he remarked, pointing at the green goop oozing from the remnants of the spiders head.
"I'll be fine. I can get cleaned up when we get back to town," Maari brushed him off. She felt fine and it was only a cut. She'd had worse in training.
"Oh no you don't. We might not get out of here until morning and who knows what other monsters are lurking around up here. Is these foul things found a way up here I'm sure other monsters might have as well. Besides, I want to take a look at that and maybe stitch you up," Wars insisted.
Maari relented, but insisted they find somewhere less exposed and full of monster guts. Having retrieved her weapons and cleaned her blade on some old parchment, they set out from the library. It wasn't long before they found a small chamber. Which appeared to be the armory.
"Take a seat and take your clothes off so I can have a look at you. " Wars instructed, before his own words hit him in the face and he realised what he had just said, and to whom.
Maari could feel her ears growing red under her scarf and she quickly looked away from Warriors.
"Sorry! I didn't... You know I meant so I can examine your wound. I just... fell back into old habits there," he stumbled over his words as he tried to apologise. "I'm used to dealing with the boys."
"No it's alright. I understand, you're just... just doing your job!" She laughed weakly talking over Wars, as she found a bench to sit on.
Warriors stood and waited for Maari to undress herself. She pulled down her mask and untied her scarf. Though her hair was pinned into a tight bun Warriors still liked the colour. Maari reached up and undid a few fastenings at the back of her collar, allowing her to shimmy out of the top part of her body-suit. She gasped as the fabric came free from her wound, where the blood was already sticking to the fabric. Wars couldn't help but let out a short hiss as the cut was exposed to the light and he could see it clearly. Sitting down on the bench beside Maari, Wars glanced up to meet her gaze.
"I'm going to have a look to make sure it's not too deep, okay?" He asked cautiously.
"Okay." Maari nodded, bracing herself.
Wars poured some of his water over his hands to wash them quickly. Gripping the bench with both hands, Maari fliclnched as Wars grazed her skin with his fingers.
"Sorry," he said hurriedly.
"No it's okay, your hands are just cold."
Wars quickly rubbed his damp hands together a few times before turning his attention back to Maari's wound. He tried to ignore the pained expressions on Maari's face as he gently felt along the edges of the cut. It didn't appear deep and the blood was already starting to ease off. Also, thanks to the glass the edges were clean and straight. However there was some dirt and a little monster goo around the wound, which he really wanted to clean up.
They hadn't brought much with them up to the castle. Only their weapons and the bare essentials. But Wars always carried a med kit with him wherever he went. Too much time spent on the battle field had taught him that someone is always bound to get hurt. Often that person was him but that was beside the point. He pulled out a needle and a small spool of thread.
"Can I borrow a knife?" He asked and Maari hesitated just a second before handing over one of her daggers. Wars quickly cut the thread and handed back the dagger.
"Could you thread this while I make a quick fire?" Wars passed her the needle and thread then set about lighting a new torch. He lit the tip with a flint and steel while Maari focused on threading the needle. She knew it was to give her something to focus on in case she felt like passing out. Although she felt mostly fine she appreciated the gesture.
"Okay, I'm going to clean it up a bit first. So this will sting."
Wars used a clean rag soaked in water from his canteen to gently wipe away the dirt from the wound. He also poured a little into the cut for good measure, soliciting a full on groan from Maari.
"Right, I'm ready to start sewing now," he said, reaching for the needle. Maari handed it over, examining his work so far. Wars held the needle in the flames of the torch for a few seconds then let out a long calming breath.
Gently pinching the edges of the cut together he began to stitch the skin together. He knew it didn't have to be pretty, it just had to last until he could get Maari a potion. Or even better, get her to Hyrule and his healing magic. Wars was impressed by how still Maari managed to keep herself, making his job all the easier. As he grew close to finishing his task he became aware of just how close they were. Of the warmth of Maari's skin beneath his fingers. A little bud of heat blossomed within his chest and he preyed to the three that it didn't show on his face.
Impressed with the dexterity of the Captain's fingers, Maari found herself staring at him as he worked. She told herself it was a good distraction from the pain. She let her eyes wander over the tops of his slightly pink ears, his tousled blond hair, and his deeply focused blue eyes. She should have felt embarrassed that she had been wounded in their very first encounter. That Wars was having to fulfill the role of field medic on her behalf. But she didn't. His presence was comforting and nothing about the things he'd said or done had made her feel embarrassed. Except when he had asked her to take her clothes off. She would admit that had made her blush beneath her mask.
At last Wars tied off the end of the thread and used Maari's knife to neaten the end.
He looked at his work for a moment then allowed Maari to take a look.
"I'm impressed Captain, who knew you Links were so multi talented."
As Maari looked up from her inspection they came face to face. Her heart was beating in her ears as she felt Link's warm breath so close to her. Imperceptibly, she leaned in just a little. Link found himself staring at Maari's lips, then her eyes and something in him wanted to close the distance. The spell was broken when Maari shuddered. Bringing her back to her senses and the realisation that her arms and torso were bare. Except for the wrappings around her breasts.
"Sorry, I should get out of your way, you must be getting cold," Link excused himself. He quickly got to his feet and started packing away his things, keeping his eyes off Maari.
Pulling her suit back up over her arms and body Maari examined the hole in the side, and wondered if Link could sew as well on fabric as he did on skin. Reluctantly she left her head unwrapped and her mask down. She tried to lift her arm up to her head to reach but instantly felt the stitches pulling and relented.
"Don't push yourself," Link insisted. I know it's not a bad wound but if you rip those stitches you could make it worse."
"I know, I've got a scar on my back that taught me that lesson." She replied with a tilt of her head. "Guess we should find the others."

Pairing Link x Female!Reader
Request: Hi hello lol, I saw your requests are open and I've had this idea in the back of my head for a while... Can you do a Twilight Princess Link x female reader (in a pre-established relationship) where she wants to surprise him with a little picnic date or something to give him a break from having to save Hyrule and the Twilight Realm and the stress that comes with it? She brings all his favorite foods in a cute little basket and blanket, and wears a cute little sundress and looks all cute for him (if you know what I mean👀),, also idk how important it would be but if you'd write anything that would imply heights can the reader be a bit taller than him, not like, a ton, but a noticeable amount..
Game/Version: Twilight princess
Declaimer: I headcanon Link as mute and that’s how i write for him. In my fics he uses sign language
Tumblr media
You had gotten pretty used to waking up to Link's side of the bed empty, some days you'd catch glimpses of him before he would leave again. Today however he was still asleep when you woke up. You decided to get up and make breakfast, when you noticed how nice the weather was you decided to make some sandwiches for lunch and put everything in the basket. Not only was the weather nice but it was also really hot,Link was still asleep but the rustling of you rummaging through your closet woke him up.
"Y/N"
"Well,good morning"
"Is it morning already? I feel like I just closed my eyes"
"Come on,I made breakfast" when you saw him he was back in his green tunic. "Why are you dressed?"
"I have to get back to-"
"No no No,you're taking a break today. Hyrule isn't going to turn to dust if you take a break for a day"
"Okay I'll take a break. That dress is beautiful, you're beautiful" You pulled him closer and kissed his forehead and cheeks.
"Thank you"
***
It didn't take long to find a beautiful place for the picnic. He put his head on your lap and immediately fell asleep,he had barely been up for a few hours. Running your fingers through his hair,he moved closer to you. You kept running your fingers through his hair until he woke up. You handed him one of the sandwiches you made, they were one of his favorites. Whenever you asked what he wanted he'd always say the same thing. It was good to see him like this, ever since he found out he was the one who needed to save Hyrule you barely saw him. He always had this look on his face whenever he was eating,he looked so happy,in the last few weeks you hadn't seen that look. He noticed you staring.
"Something wrong?"He asked
"No,it's just good to see you"
"I missed you too,but I need to do this" You tried to say something but he quickly stopped you "Alone,I can't risk anything happening to you"
“Just try to come back home,I just wanna know your safe”
“I’ll try to stop by more,I promise”

I'll see how it turns out and then decide!

If it isn't to much trouble could I please get some angst for revail and link? Maybe something where they have a fight with their s/o and leave to become a champion but feel bad the whole time and come back after a few months to ask for forgiveness and them back. Only to find their s/o has moved on with someone else??
If it has a happy ending or not that's up too you! I love your work so much! Thank you!
A/n : I also slightly changed it up a bit so sorry if it is not to your liking. I love requests they are actually fun and sorry guys I’m a huge over thinker when writing stories so I tend to always need to tweak it which is my reason for why it takes some time to complete.

[ Reader Pov]
" Let me tell you a story"
" A story?"
" yes, a story about two people who are not destined to be together in this life."
" [ parental name], is this a true story ?"
" yes."
.
.
.
I was a young hylian in Hateno Village. I worked alongside my father in the local clothing shop and spent time herding sheep. That's when I had met the most beautiful boy, Link.
He had a beautiful horse and often would be riding around the fields where my sheep would be frolicking
" That is a beautiful horse." I said as I looked into his blue eyes and he cracked a smile, " Thank you."
Such a small interaction turned into daily occurrences.
We would sit by the fields watching the sheep, overlook the beautiful waterfalls and even fight Bokoblins who dared to enter, they were dangerously close until one day, he didn't show up at all.
" Father, have you seen Link , he was supposed to meet me."
" No, I'm afraid not, have you tried asking his sister ?"
" no."
I walked toward their house across the bridge and knocked on the door. The door swung open to reveal one of the local ladies whose husband owned the small convenience store.
" [y/n], hello, is there something I can help you with ?"
" Yes, Ma'am, I was wondering if you have seen Link around ?"
" Oh my.. Did he not tell you ? "
" Tell me what ? " I asked as I became more and more concerned.
" I am overlooking their home, they have been sent to live near the castle, Link has been appointed as the Princess's Knight."
" Princess Zelda ?"
" Yes."
I simply smiled and thanked her as I left back to my home. I felt a pang of jealousy as I walked back, but part of me felt hurt that he never mentioned this to me.
A month passed before I saw him again... he was different, we were different.
I heard a knock at the door and opened it to reveal Link himself. I was in shock as I came face to face to the boy whom left me blind, but I could not help but throw my arms around his neck and pull him into a hug.
" I missed you..." I said but never received a response.
Did he not miss me ?
We hung out everyday for that week, he hardly spoke to me anymore about anything but he had apologized for his lack of presence.
On the day he left, he held my hand and placed a kiss on my forehead telling me that he will be back. It was unexpected when he had seemed to be distant the entire week, but part of me began to see the old Link resurface, MY link.
We still sent letters to one another, but while I sent a letter every day of the week I would only receive one. I rationalized that it must be because he was training to protect the princess and the kingdom.
But our town was small and the princess so happened to visit and that is when everyone spoke about how good they looked together that even I had begun to agree.
I remember walking towards the waterfall, sitting on the bridge and dipping my feet into the water. It was a nice day and Princess Zelda was the talk of the town, but 2 ladies who seemed to be the biggest gossip spoke about how Link would visit Zora's Domain almost everyday and spend time with the Princess, Mipha.
I felt pathetic that I felt jealousy.
" [y/n]", spoke a soft voice and I turned around to see the princess and Link. I quickly got up and bowed and she began to shake her hands ," no no , please, I have heard many good things about you from Link."
" You have ?" I looked to see lInk's face beet red. I smiled to myself as she sat next to me and put her feet into the water as well.
" I wonder how you put up with him ?"
" With Link ?"
" Yes, he can be quite a nuisance sometimes, follows me around and never talks."
I had began to laugh," he was like that at first, but with time you will see that he will never shut up." She smiled at me.
" you know...I may be a princess, but...I am sorry."
" Sorry ?"
" Yes, I can imagine how lonely it can be in this village, I was alone in the castle until the champions came along, and I feel as if I took your friend." I looked into her eyes and shook my head," Link...he seemed to always want to be a knight, when we were kids he had played swords with me and we used to fight many Bokoblins, but I never realized it would become a reality."
I felt his gaze on my face as he had began to walk away from us to let us speak in private.
She looked into my eyes and spoke," do you like Link ?"
" of course I do." I replied quickly.
" But do you love him ?"
" I- yes." I had confessed."
She smiled warmly, " He speaks highly of you, he also visits you almost everyday so I believe-"
" Everyday ? He doesn't seem me everyday its like a few times a month ."
" What ?"
" He does not see me as much as you think."
" Then who-"
" This town is small, so when travelers come by and see Link, they often talk about how they spotted him in Zora's domain."
" Princess Mipha.." whispered Princess Zelda.
I looked down at my hands nodding and I heard her stand up and walk away. It was silent, the confirmation was there and despite my feelings for him, I felt the need to swallow It.
I began to get up and walk back towards my house as it was becoming night until I heard my name.
I turned around to come face to face with Link
" Yes ?" I had not spoken to him much anymore and he seemed to increasingly become more mute upon every meeting.
" Are you going to talk or just stare ?" I asked a it harshly. He seemed to open his mouth and then just sighed and shook his head as he left. I gripped my clothing and walked into my house, I could not shake the feeling that I would no longer be seeing him for a long time.
minutes...hours...days...weeks...months...years.
They all went by, I had not seen Link not since that night 7 years ago. He no longer visited Hateno Village, his home seemed to slowly decay as the entire village stopped their regular maintenance after realizing everything inside had been emptied.
I came to the conclusion that he Is no longer coming back, his home was not here..not with me. I cried nights..wishing I could turn back time and speak to him that night.
Until I met them... A traveler was passing by Hateno and they were gentle and sweet. They explored all of Hyrule and we met on the very same field I had met Link. When he left the village I felt this sad empty feeling but he never stopped coming back. He always brought me small little trinkets from other villages and always shared his adventures with me. He then asked me to accompany him to travel and so we did. We traveled all of Hyrule and Link was far behind my mind as I felt myself falling in love with [travelers name].
We built a home near the lab up a hill where we could see all of Hateno, and the village had celebrated our relationship and welcomed them as a new member of the village. We spent time opening a tiny shop where we sold many goods from all of Hyrule.
.
.
The door to the shop opened making a small 'ding' sound due to the bell. I turned around to come face to face to someone I thought I would never see again.
"Link.."
"[y/n]"
I was in shock until I heard [traveler's name] come down the stairs to greet me.
" Hey love, where is th- oh hello welcome !" and there stood two people who were big aspects of my life staring at one another.
" Can I speak to you ?" asked Link. I nodded and sent a reassuring smile to [travelers name]
We walked out towards the very same field
" I.. I came to apologize, for not coming back enough, for not telling you anything, for not seeing you."
I stared down at my hands and spoke," you... you had 6 years to apologize yet you decided to only do it now-"
" Within those 6 years I never stopped thinking about yo-"
" I know I have no place to be jealous since I was not your significant other, but to hear you going to see Princess Mipha on a regular basis knowing the distance from the castle to Zoras Domain just confirmed that I was not the one in your heart."
" You wer-"
" Then why.. why did you not see me once within those 6 years? "
"I...I"
" You have no answer...and I have moved on, so should you." I began to walk away this time knowing I would no longer see him ever again.
.
"and I didn't see him..." I got up and turned off the lights and walked out of the room. The princess and the champions did not make it...I felt tears once again well up into my eyes
" I hope you're somewhere up there Link..."
[narrator's pov]
100 years after the calamity, Link rose once again and slowly regained his memories and rebuilt the home he once had 100 years ago. Yet within the very same village where he grew up he seemed to always find himself walking to an empty field where there laid a stone carved with the name, [y/n], the name was hardly readable and grass and moss had began to cover it.
"[y/n]" he whispered to himself hoping perhaps a fragment of a memory would come to him once again..
.
.
and it did, yet it was not a happy memory but instead a memory that led to a cycle of pain and regret. He who hopes that within his next life may [y/n] and him be one.

Summer Camp
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"You realize I'm too old to go to summer camp, right?" Link asks his parents with a glare, tossing the piece of paper towards them.
His mother releases a sigh and crosses her arms, looking to her husband for help. "Son, you're not going there as a camper. Are you that stupid?" His father asks him, not putting up with his bullshit.
Link scoffs and he shakes his head. "Rich coming from you," he snaps at him.
"Do you hear yourself right now?" His mother asks him, hearing her voice crack. "You're going to this camp to learn responsibility. Link, baby, this'll be good for you."
"Good for me. Ha, yeah. You're sending me to the middle of nowhere to look after some brats that I don't know," he mentions while furrowing his eyebrows.
His mother and father glance at one another before she walks away. Link rolls his eyes at her behavior and he crosses his arms over his chest.
"Why are you like this? Where did we go wrong with you?" His father asks him. Link doesn't answer him and the father releases a deep sigh. "Be ready by seven am. You'll be gone for two months."
He follows his wife upstairs, leaving the dirty blonde by himself in the living room. Link runs his hands over his face before pushing himself off the couch.
"Stupid fucking summer camp," he mumbles to himself while heading to his bedroom. "Yes, because sending me to a place I don't want to go is going to make me better. Fucking stupid."
Link plops himself on his bed, resting his hands underneath his head while looking up at the ceiling. God, this summer's gonna suck.
You zip up your suitcase and place it by your bedroom door, having it ready for tomorrow morning. This year will be your third year counseling at Crescent Lake Summer Camp and you're pretty excited.
One of the head counselors called you earlier in the day to inform you that a new counselor will be joining this year's team.
You couldn't wait to see everyone again. You also wonder who the new person is going to be. Whether it's a guy or a girl. If they're attractive, nice. You release a deep breath and shake your head.
"No relationships, remember," you mumble to yourself. Your mother yells your name as you exit your room and you quickly make your way downstairs.
Your father sits at the kitchen table as your mother places the various pots and pans in the middle of the surface.
"Smells great, ma," you mention while sitting in your seat.
"Thank you, honey. At least someone appreciates my cooking," she jokes and glances toward her husband. "Are you all packed and ready?"
You nod your head in response as your father tosses the newspaper onto the counter. "Are you excited?" He asks you while scooping some mashed potatoes onto his plate.
"Yeah, I can't wait to see everyone again," you exclaim with a smile, waiting for your parents to get food first. "Kathleen called me earlier and said there's going to be a new counselor."
"That's good. You guys were short-staffed last year, weren't you?" Your mother asks before placing a fork full of potatoes into her mouth.
You plate your dinner and nod your head. "It was horrible last year. Derek and Giana ended up skipping out, leaving us shorthanded," you clarify with an eye roll. "So, I'm hoping this year they'll be there and the new person. We'll be decently staffed this year."
"Well, that's good, honey. I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back."
-
You drive under the Crescent Lake Summer Camp sign, seeing the main cabin in the distance. A smile graces your lips as you pull into a parking spot. You turn the vehicle off before getting out of the car.
The heat smacks you in the face and you can't wait to take a dip in the lake. A car pulls in behind you and you glance over your shoulder to see a dirty blonde guy. He must be the new counselor. You think to yourself as you grab your suitcase.
You make your way towards the group of counselors when you notice the blonde hasn't left his car yet. "Y/N!" A familiar voice calls out to you and you whip your head around to see Leia running toward you.
She crashes into you, almost taking you out as chuckles leave both of your lips. "I missed you too, Leia," you laugh while hugging her.
"I'm so glad you're here. Derek and Gina ended up getting together and I feel like a third wheel," she groans while pulling away.
"God, did they really?" You scrunch your nose as the two of you walk towards the others.
Leia links her arm with yours before stopping you from continuing further. "There's also something I need to tell you," she says grimly, causing your eyebrows to furrow. "Jack's back this year."
Your heart drops into your stomach and you swallow thickly. "W-What? They let him come back?" You ask quietly, and Leia nods her head in reply. "Great."
"I'm sorry. Kathleen should've told you," she frowns.
"It was two years ago. I'm over it," you lie to her and yourself, shrugging your shoulders.
Link sits in his car, wishing he could just turn around and leave. The threat his father gave him before he left the house replays in his head. He looks out his driver's side window, seeing you hugging another woman.
Well, the girls are hot. He thinks to himself as his brown eyes roam down your body. He releases a deep sigh before turning his vehicle off. He steps out of the vehicle and grabs his bag from the backseat, sliding the strap onto his shoulder.
He joins the rest of the camp counselors and an older blonde woman smiles at him. "You must be Link, right?" She asks while stepping toward him.
"Yeah," he replies bluntly and shakes her hand a couple of times.
"Nice to meet you, Link. I'm so glad you could join us this year," she says with a grin. "I'm Kathleen, one of the head counselors here at Crescent Lake. Guys, you wanna introduce yourselves?"
Derek gives his usual two-finger wave. "Hey, I'm Derek. It's nice to finally have guy counselors here again," he introduces himself before draping an arm around the girl next to him.
"I'm Gina," the brunette next to Derek introduces herself.
Link's eyes move to the next person. "I'm Jack. Nice to meet you, bro," the black-haired man says and holds his hand out for Link to shake.
"Don't call me bro," Link states while ignoring the handshake, moving his gaze to the girl you were hugging earlier.
You're shocked at how Link spoke to Jack and you have to hold back a laugh. "I'm Leia," your friend introduces herself to the dirty blonde.
His eyes finally land on you and your breath hitches in your throat. Holy shit he's beautiful. You think to yourself before realizing you haven't spoken yet. "S-Sorry, hi, I'm Y/N," you smile softly at him.
A smirk comes to his lips and he lifts his hand to wave. "Hey," he mutters before diverting his gaze back to Kathleen. "So, how does this work exactly?"
"Well, tonight won't be too difficult. It's more of a chill kind of day before the kids come in the morning," Kathleen begins to explain while motioning for you all to follow her.
You cross your arms across your chest and follow the rest of the group. Leia glances back at you and makes sure you're doing okay before looking forward.
Jack slows down to walk beside you and you wish you could disappear. You didn't want anything to do with him after what happened two summers ago.
"You look great," he compliments you before nudging your arm. You take a step away from him, not saying anything. "Oh come on. Talk to me."
You let out a scoff, shaking your head. "Leave me alone, Jack," you mutter and walk away from him.
Link glances down at the feeling of something brushing his arm, seeing you walking beside him. His gaze moves from you to the man walking behind him, noticing the scowl on his features.
"You two have a history?" He asks you quietly, and you lift your head.
You hum at first while rubbing your arms, taking a quick glance over your shoulder. "Uh, yeah," you mumble before clearing your throat. "It's not something I like to talk about."
The dirty blonde raises his hands with a small smile on his lips. "Then I won't ask any more questions," Link tries to cheer you up. A smile comes to your lips as you tear your gaze away from him. "Although, if it makes you feel better. He totally hates the idea of me standing next to you."
"No way," you whisper and look back up at him. Link nods his head, motioning his head towards the brooding man behind you. You discreetly look back at Jack, noticing the angry look in his eyes. "He's ridiculous. He doesn't even deserve to be back here."
"How come they let him back?" Link questions with narrowed eyes, his gaze settling on Kathleen.
You shrug your shoulders. "I don't know. All I know is that I intend to stay far away from him as possible," you mention.
-
Night falls at Crescent Lake Summer Camp and most of the cabin lights were out, indicating that whoever's staying in there is in bed or already asleep.
You tie the straps of your bikini top, securing it around your neck before grabbing the towel from your suitcase. You quietly make your way out of your small cabin and you slowly close the wooden door behind you.
You pull your phone out of your pocket and turn the flashlight on. You make your way towards the lake and notice a text from your mother. You read the text over and chuckle at the message, deciding to text her back in the morning. That is if you remember.
The full moon shines against the water, and the splashing of the small waves fills your ears. A smile graces your lips and you slip your shoes off before stepping onto the sand.
"Peaceful," you sigh while walking closer to the water.
You're thankful that the water isn't cold as it splashes over both of your feet. You unbutton your shorts before tugging them down your legs. You place the towel far away enough so it doesn't get wet and you toss your shorts onto it.
You walk further into the lake, the water stopping at your waist. Just as you're about to dive in, you hear a twig breaking behind you. You jump and twist your body around, looking for another person or an animal.
"H-Hello?" You call out into the darkness, pressing your forearms against your chest. You swallow thickly as another twig snaps. "Leia?"
You start to grow paranoid as you walk closer to the shore, checking the space in front of you over and over.
"Jack? Link?" You call out a couple of more names, even though you hope it's not Jack.
"Y/N?" Link's voice emerges from the darkness and you let out a breath of relief.
You place a hand over your heart as the dirty blonde steps out from the treeline. You run your fingers through your hair before tucking some hair behind your ear. "Link," you repeat his name as he now stands in front of you. "What are you doing out here?"
"I could ask you the same thing," he laughs while shoving his hands in his pockets. "I couldn't sleep."
You hum and nod your head, having a similar situation. "Yeah, I couldn't either. I normally can't. I get too excited," you giggle. "Plus, I usually go night swimming on the first and last night every summer."
"Is that safe?" Link asks you with a raised brow.
"Most of the time, yes. There aren't any houses in the vicinity. I normally just have to look out for wild animals," you explain while making your way back into the water. "Do you want to join me?"
Link doesn't say anything as he starts to pull his shirt over his head. "Don't gotta ask me twice," he smirks while he unfastens his jeans.
You make it out to the deeper part of the lake, the water stopping at your chest as you watch him walk closer to you. "The water's nice, isn't it?" You ask as Link stands about a foot away from you.
"It is. Much warmer than I expected, actually," he mentions while gliding his hands through the water. "So, you called out Jack's name before mine. Were you expecting him?"
"No, no. I just- I didn't know if he'd continue to try to talk to me," you shrug your shoulders.
Link hums and takes a couple of steps closer to you. "Y/N, I'm not going to lie to you," he starts and you furrow your brows. "I saw Jack making his way out here during my walk."
Your blood runs cold and your breath hitches in your throat. "God, i-if I knew he was going to be here. I wouldn't have come," you sigh and look up at the sky.
Stars litter the night sky and the moon shines brightly. You can feel tears pool in your eyes as memories of two years ago start to resurface.
"Hey," he softly mumbles, feeling bad for you, as he grabs hold of your chin. Your eyes meet his and Link's thumb strokes your cheek. "I'll help you keep him away."
"You will?" You whisper with wide eyes, not expecting him to help you.
He smiles at you and he nods his head. "Of course. You seem really sweet and, even though I don't know what you went through with this guy, you don't deserve it."
Your eyes roam his beautiful face and you have the desire to kiss him. You swallow the lump in your throat as the space between you and him starts to dissipate.
Butterflies swarm your stomach when Link's nose brushes against yours. His hands move to your waist, fingertips digging into your skin as he pulls you closer.
"L-Link," you stutter out and you press your hands against his chest. "I can't…"
You put some space between the two of you and cross your arms over your chest. "Sorry," he mumbles.
You shake your head and release a deep sigh. "It's not you. You're- you're really cute and I would love to kiss you, but I promised myself I wouldn't get a boyfriend here again," you vaguely explain to him.
The dirty blonde connects the dots and his shoulders slump a smidge. "Jack?"
"Yeah. Two summers ago we got close and he ended up asking me out a few weeks before camp ended," you sigh. "And then a couple of nights before we left… he- I overheard him talking with a couple of ex-counselors. Apparently, asking me out was part of a bet."
"Wow, what is he twelve years old?" Link asks while rolling his eyes. "That's fucking childish."
"It is childish, but I truly liked him. So, I made a vow to myself that I wouldn't get a boyfriend here."
-
Jack helps the kids off of the bus as Link glares at him from the porch of the main cabin. Sure, he can be an asshole to women sometimes but making bets on women is something he's never thought about doing.
"Y/N!" One of the kids yells to you as soon as you step out of the building. Link's gaze moves from Jack to the little girl who's running in his direction.
You release a gasp and crouch. "Hi, honey!" You greet with a big smile as the little brunette crashes into your arms. "How was your school year?"
"It was good! I made a ton of friends," she boasts to you with a significant smile. Cute. Link thinks to himself as his eyes move to you.
You're fixing her pigtails when you feel a pair of eyes on you. You glance to your left to see Link standing at the end of the porch, his arms crossed over his chest.
"Bella, do you wanna meet our new counselor?" You ask her and she nods her head. You stand up and she grabs a hold of your hand. The two of you walk towards the dirty blonde and you notice his eyes widen slightly. "Honey, this is Link."
"That's your name?" She asks and Link nods his head, plastering a fake smile on his lips. "I think that's such a cool name."
You chuckle and rest your hand on top of her head. "It is a cool name, isn't it?" You agree with her.
"Thank you," he chuckles and runs a hand through his hair.
"How about you go join the rest of the kids, okay?" You smile down at her.
Bella nods her head before she runs off, grouping back up with the rest of the summer campers. You release a deep breath and you turn towards Link.
"She's cute," he says. "I'm not really a big fan of kids, but she's cool."
You giggle before tilting your head. "You don't like kids, but you signed up to be a counselor at a kid's summer camp?" You ask him with a confused look.
Link sighs and leans against the railing in front of him. "I didn't sign up. My parents made me come," he tells the truth, his eyes looking out at the large group. "They decided that I needed to learn responsibility and forced me to come here."
A frown comes to your lips at Link's story. "Oh, that's horrible. I'm sorry about that," you apologize to him and rest one of your hands on his arm. "Just- don't take your anger out on these kids. Some of them can be assholes, but the majority of them are sweethearts."
"I won't," he promises you. Silence fills the space between the two of you for a few moments before he speaks up. "There's one thing that's definitely made this whole punishment better."
"Yeah? That's great, Link. What is it?" You ask him with a smile, your fingers gliding down his arm.
"You."
Your lips part in surprise at his answer and your cheeks blush. "O-Oh, me?" You stutter out and smile.
He chuckles and he nods his head. "Yeah, you," Link confirms and brings one of his hands to your face, stroking your cheek.
"You're gonna be the death of me this summer," you chuckle while leaning into his touch.
