Hey! I tried my hand at trying to make LINE stickers ;w;
it's probably not gonna be super successful, but I learned a lot about the requirements that go into something like this! Check it out if you want here!
I really have to recommend LINE app for ppl who are visual communicators. They’ve got hundreds of free stickers, and there’s way more nuance to what you can convey compared to emojis, which can sometimes feel like code when you’re conveying more complicated information.
Take for instance, the range of expression you get for “cry.” There’s exhaustion, frustration, desperation, emptiness, brokenness, loneliness, and this is just the first three pages of results
Even “happy” comes in many different forms
Or the different types of “tired”
I know that GIF keyboards also offer a wide range of expression, but I find that it can be overwhelming to search through GIFs sometimes. Stickers and emojis have a visual simplicity to them that makes it easier (for me at least) to scan, process, and memorize the available options. And they’re just cute.
I also really appreciate the character Brown, who expresses himself with body language rather than facial expressions.
I will be honest and admit that I am biased towards LINE over traditional SMS or whatsapp, but I really wish more Westerners made use of it. I’ve been using it for 6 years now and it’s always a delight. My friend once wrote me a fic using nothing but Brown and James stickers. I love LINE.
