EDIT: (17. 5. 2021) I edited the ending with a lil continuation of the scene I previously deleted, because I thought it was unnecessary, but then I returned to it after few days and thought it should stay. It's not very long but I guess it's kinda important.

Then the world started spinning, Newt dragged him to his room somehow… which sounded farfetched, so maybe dad helped, he drew blank around that area honestly, probably because he stood up and all the alcohol began circulating faster. Then they talked… probably, and then Thomas fell asleep, since that’s all he could recall.

Not like he hadn’t been doing that in the last month of their relationship anyway, just... ignoring the problem until it went away (a problem named Thomas) and well, ultimately it succeeded. It would work now too, and Thomas refused to poke the wasp nest this early in the morning – judging from the clock at 8:04 – and just went with the flow.

Need coffee, he thought unhappily when the headache set in. And water. Maybe some alone time in a bathroom first.

Newt didn’t stir until Thomas slinked out of the bedroom, which was a complete lie.

“Dad, just drop it,” Thomas repeated for fourth time when his dad couldn’t stop haggling him about his childlike alcohol tolerance the moment he appeared in the kitchen, asking for black coffee. He couldn’t tell him he drank Newt’s portions and without that argument nothing would sound plausible anyway, so he just dodged it with an increasing headache. Newt got up about half an hour later and didn’t speak a word to him – Thomas would even say he avoided his eyes several times, which meant he was absolutely awake in the morning to witness all of Thomas’ struggle to even exist around him peacefully. Which he couldn’t for years, really, so this only proved it.

It was fine. Thomas learned how to deal with it, despite taking him two years to come in terms of being hated by a person he loved since he was 17. Well, everything around the breakup took a lot from him, but he dealt with all eventually, right? He could finally look Newt in the eye without having all the incoherent anger and frustration pile up and he could talk to him fine as well unless they breached one of the thousand forbidden topics. Like them. Like family. Like love. Like sleeping. Like breathing, existing and fucking just trying to live.

Anyway. All dealt with, of course. No hard feelings.

(Lots of them.)

“You dealt with the drunkard just fine, right Newt?” his dad chattered towards the blond, patting him on his back and Newt forced a smile and a nod. Thomas saw this particular expression too often to not recognize it and huffed while sitting down at the counter with his own coffee.

He was used to being a bad guy anyway, no matter how much of the blame he genuinely deserved. They both knew he didn’t get drunk because he wanted to get wasted enough to drop unconscious on a spot and Newt would be a hypocrite to badmouth him when he was pouring all his whiskey to Thomas’ glass with thankful expression yesterday. But then again, not even he could tell Thomas’ dad about it, so they just had to have this unspoken oh yes, Thomas is a real piece of work as always.

Which sort of sucked. But Thomas couldn’t care less what his dad thought about his alcohol tolerance, it wasn’t like he threw up everywhere or broke mum’s precious bowls set (again). Not that he expected Newt to defend him anyhow, but he could at least say nooo, he was fine, he just fell asleep or something. Not that it surprised him he didn’t, but…

“He used to drink majority of guys from my work under the table and now look at him,” his dad delivered his fifth Thomas can’t drink for shit jab. He sure loved to milk that. “At least he has you to look after him, huh.”

Thomas stared at Newt’s back with mild annoyance the more the blond refused to elaborate on anything, just smiling at his dad while making himself a cup of coffee, and then Thomas’s eyes suddenly fell on the nape of Newt’s neck with a vicious, red mark near the hairline, and his whole body seized up like he got paralyzed.

A hickey? Since when? From who? What? Wait, was Newt already dating somebody else?

Saying already like three years were short amount of time… Thomas mentally scolded himself and his body raised up on its own volition, like being pulled in by some invisible force towards the blond. He had no clue if it were a twisted need for revenge or vindication or just him being unable to come in terms of not being told or warned, or maybe all of it together, he just couldn’t stop and plastered himself all over Newt’s back, trapping him between his body and the counter, circling his thin waist like a vine (he got thinner for sure).

“Of course I have you, don’t I,” he purred into Newt’s ear, loud enough for his dad to hear perfectly, and felt how Newt’s whole body froze, his hand mid-stir of the coffee. Thomas could see how his Adam’s apple bobbed when he gulped. “Looking after me when I get hammered into unconsciousness.”

“Yeah.” Newt’s voice sounded small, and Thomas wanted to bite down at that red, angry place on his nape like an animal. His dad probably wouldn’t appreciate it, but his ego sure would. He let his hands slide lower, to Newt’s hips, grabbing a handful, and the habitual movement made him restless. He did it zillion times during the time they were together. He did less, he did more, naked, clothed, lying, standing up, in whatever situation, touching Newt was his privilege.

And some fucking horny prick just took it?

Just marked his boyfriend – ex-boyfriend, Thomas, ex-boyfriend for three years, pull yourself together, you’re not 17 anymore – like a property and he didn’t even fucking notice?

Newt’s breath hitched and the spoon he was holding dropped into the coffee, splashing the black liquid around it, dribbling down the drawers under, making the blond curse under his breath.

“Sorry,” he immediately said towards Thomas’ dad who was handing him a cloth to wipe it with, and started squirming. “Thomas, leggo. Can’t reach.”

“Don’t wanna,” Thomas refused, squeezing Newt even tighter. “I’m hangover and miserable and you’re supposed to take care of me.”

Thomas’ dad snorted but took the hint and retreated while calling at his wife the boys are being rowdy again, Anna! And the kitchen fell back into silence, except of their breathing, with Thomas plastered against Newt’s back like he wanted to topple him over (he sort of did).

“Do you enjoy being a bloody prick?” Newt finally broke the spell, pawing at Thomas’ hands to get them off, his voice an angry whisper. “What’s your deal, for fuck’s sake!”

“Hangover,” Thomas huffed, not letting go and to be completely honest, Newt wasn’t really trying as much, just slapping his hands half-heartedly. “Could’ve at least said I didn’t give you any trouble, I covered for you the whole night.”

“You gave me loads of it!” Newt started wiggling, and Thomas had to fight the urge to just bite down, mark any piece of skin available, to make the restlessness go away. “You were heavy as fuck, I had to carry you all the way to your room!”

“Yeah, and?” Thomas grabbed him lower, and Newt pinched his hand in revenge, which finally made him let go with sharp breath.

“Fuck you,” the blond barked at him with fiery eyes. “I don’t know what you are trying to prove but groping me is not on the bloody table, get it?!”

“Mhm,” Thomas rubbed the place Newt pinched him at. “Sure. No fun allowed, got it.”

“Fuck off!”

Thomas hated how Newt turned away and the hickey was so visible it made his insides churn. He used to talk about his problems a lot these past few years, so he could finally let go of whatever was holding him in place, unable to forget, and he thought he reached that point, that he was free.

Looking at Newt marked by another man… no. He was not. Still stuck, still the same.

Still angry and miserable.

Still… there.

The fact Newt refused to talk to him completely was an understatement. Thomas blamed his unsteady approach on the alcohol, because what else he could blame it on – his own feelings? He sodealt with those already, there was nothing that would make him see red.

Except of a hickey on his ex-boyfriend’s neck, that would do it. Apparently.

But still – it was the hangover that made him stupid, right. If he’d be completely sober and not aching anywhere and his mind clear, he would just… shrug at it. It was Newt’s business who he slept with or not, or who he let bite his nape like a dog (some young fucking idiot who thought hickeys are still sexy? Stupid shit).

Not Thomas’. Not anymore.

The more he tried to push it away from his mind, the more his mind pushed back, just pointing it out loudly every time he glanced towards the blond sitting on the couch in the living room, bundled in a fluffy blanket, fiddling with his phone.

He was fiddling with his phone a lot actually. Texting somebody?

The guy who left the mark?

Thomas felt the irrational anger seep into his consciousness again and he forced it back down with a frown. He knew asking Newt to help him to get his parents off his back wasn’t exactly a great idea (asking ex to be your bf again for a show just screamed trouble), but at the same time asking anybody else just felt… wrong.

Thomas had to admit he’d be able to go along with this only with Minho, probably. Because Minho was a born actor, he’d be able to breeze though this with ease and Thomas’ parents would like him for sure, because, well, everybody liked Minho, honestly.

Asking Teresa or Brenda was just… desperate. Because other than them it would be Newt and getting back together with Newt… well. Thomas could tell from the moment he saw him getting into his car in front of Newt’s workplace it was going to be tough for both of them.

Not much of a surprise so far climbing Mt. Everest would be easier than keeping his chaotic feelings under control.

“You need some fresh air,” his vision of Newt got obstructed by his mum in a frilly apron she wore unironically and he looked up to her with half-lidded eyes.

“I think I need chicken soup, actually,” he offered in response, because dragging himself through the snow outside now sounded like a death penalty.

“Air first,” she insisted, adamant, and turned towards Newt like an executioner. “Right, Newt? A walk would do him good.”

Newt looked at Thomas and Thomas just knew. He was doomed. Newt was going to betray him like Scar did with Mufasa and he’d enjoy it, he could see the glint in his eyes, just shining there, spelling revenge in big, neon letters.

Please, he mouthed at the blond in desperation and Newt tilted his head to the side and then his mouth curled up.

“Sure, that’s a great idea, Anna,” he signed the death certificate without an ounce of shame and relished in it.

Fuck you, Thomas mouthed again, and Newt sent him a condescending smile. Fuck him especially.

“You’re unusually quiet,” his mum casually pointed out like she didn’t just drag him out to cold ass weather while holding a knife (butter one, but that’s what made it scarier), despite his very vocal (or vocal sort of, too loud and his brain wanted out of his skull) protests.

“Hungover,” he reminded her bitterly. The snow under their feet crunched sharply and the noise was tearing his brain to pieces, like walking on a broken glass and he had no idea how much longer he’d be able to act like it wasn’t killing him.

“Well, it was nice of you to cover for him,” Anna shrugged like she didn’t just blew their cover with a killer one liner and Thomas probably shouldn’t have been as surprised. “Don’t think I’ve ever seen him drink.”

“That’s cuz he can’t drink for shit,” he mumbled with a frown. “Did dad notice?”

“No,” she shook her head. “He was too busy boasting about the partnership. It’s been some time since I’ve seen him so happy, you know how he hoards the whiskey otherwise.”

“Yeah, cheapskate,” Thomas snorted, and the noise sliced his brain painfully, like an instant karma.

“Think he was happy about Newt being back too,” she hit the nail on the head a bit too close to home and Thomas hated how his stomach lurched at it. “Well, you know him.”

“Sure is happy for not getting any grandkids,” he just grumbled and Anna patted him on his back.

“We still have Hannah,” she reminded him sweetly. “Maybe one day she’ll feel like having kids and force you to babysit for her two times a week.”

“Me? You’re going to be the grandparents, it’s your obligation to babysit!” The idea of taking care of Hannah’s kids made him scared for life, and they didn’t even exist yet.

“Pretty sure Newt wouldn’t mind,” she chirped happily, and Thomas loathed how right she probably was. Newt never really showed any kind of real interest in having kids or anything, but he never minded babysit for his own sister, and generally all the kids liked him.

Not that thinking about that had any merit anyway, since they split up with a point of no return. Maybe Newt already planned kids with the new person who left the distasteful hickey on his nape, or the person who he kept texting, and the more Thomas thought about it, the more his chest burned.

“Cherish him a bit more, would you,” she poked his arm. “Don’t think I didn’t notice you have some beef between you. Had an argument before coming here?”

Why the fuck is she so perceptive?

“A bit,” he answered quietly. “No biggie.”

“Set things right,” she plainly ordered him like he was ten again and had do her bidding. “I don’t want another sad Christmas.”

There isn’t going to be any Christmas for us, he wanted to tell her, but kept his mouth shut. At this rate, there wasn’t going to be anything for them, at all.

I really need some sleep.

Not very often did the morning come so peacefully, like a gentle spring washing over tired soul, leaving it invigorated. Thomas basked in the pleasantness of it, a quiet, warm and relaxed moment where he slowly woke up from a dream into reality still welcoming and soft like he never left the fantasy realm.

He took a deep breath, stretching, slowly coming to realize of contours of another body pressed into him, and under his hands and around his legs and under his chin. The soft blond hair came to view when he opened his eyes, with Newt draped around him needily, and his heart melted.

The first night in their flat. Their home. A place that only belonged to them, these walls and floors, and small kitchen and big windows, for them together. It came true, finally, inevitably, for Thomas to have Newt all for himself, to share his mornings, his evenings, his life with him. Nothing else could make him happier.

“You already up?” came a sleepy rumble from Newt’s chest, the hands holding Thomas’ waist slowly moved up, to his back, pushing them even closer together.

“Just woke up,” Thomas kissed the top of the blond strands, his own hands traveling over Newt’s back, right onto his butt, kneading it.

“Mmmm.” Approving sound doubled his endeavour and then Newt was slowly grinding to him, lazily, his lips stretched in a smile, reaching to pamper Thomas’ neck with small kisses. “This sure is nice, huh.”

“Love it,” Thomas agreed with the sentiment while grabbing Newt’s thigh and hiking it up over his hip. The blond softly moaned at the contact and Thomas pushed more into it, completely awake and needy and allowed. There was nobody that could hear them, scold them or gasp in shock like a puritan at them making out – just them, two lovers in their home, free to make love any time they wanted.

And Thomas wanted too much.

He never stopped wanting.

He woke to his room bathing in shadows, with the blanket twisted between his legs, his headache still present, even though in weaker state than in the morning, and his body wasn’t any less sluggish. The walk with his mum didn’t help him much, just added to his misery with freezing cold and nagging reality he couldn’t play this game any longer, which made him feel empty and unhappy.

He didn’t feel this unhappy in a while, it usually only came back when he heard of Newt about a year after the breakup. Every time his ex came back to his life, even when somebody only mentioned him in a passing conversation, Thomas’ chest set off that painful pang in it, like a trigger just waiting to be pressed, and he fell back into hollow kind of depression.

He got rid of it, somehow. He built walls around himself, he locked all of his twisted personality traits and pushiness and hateful behaviour away, he spent years searching for more he could fix, for all that made Newt unhappy with him, what made him leave Thomas after seven years without really talking about it.

He thought he managed to become a better person. He believed he could change the way he acted. He hoped if he ever talked to Newt again, at any point of their lives, he would be at least able to show him he wasn’t that ungrateful, lousy boyfriend anymore, that they could at least be friends. Somehow. Just talk normally. Just… exist in the same room without… Newt making that anguished face, like it hurt him still.

Thomas tried. But failed. Maybe it was just recurring theme of his life – to touch something wonderful, to taste true happiness, just to fuck it all up and lose it.

Maybe he was just obsessive. Suffocating.

Maybe making mistakes were rooted too deep in him to get rid of.

Maybe… it was simply impossible.

Newt was playing games with Hannah in the living room when Thomas came back down. Hannah made fun of him for sleeping all day like an old guy and his mum said something about hoping he didn’t catch a cold and gave him a bowl of chicken soup.

The strange, unattached feeling stayed with him since he woke up, and only doubled when he saw Newt’s neck marked by some fucker on display. His stomach churned at the implication there was this unknown guy waiting for Newt to come back home, who kept impatiently sending him texts that made Newt frown and smile in turns, like he just slowly sunk back into the problem they never resolved. Thomas felt disgusted with himself, and angry, and, when it came to it, immensely tired.

“Oh, you have the whole week free?” his mum asked suddenly, breaking Thomas’ bubble of trying to eat the soup like a mental case of lobotomy, and he realized there had been a conversation going in meantime and he didn’t catch any of it. Newt wasn’t playing the game anymore, though Hannah still furiously pressed buttons on her controller, and instead of it sat on the couch, turned towards Thomas’ mum at the table.

“Yeah, thought getting out of the city might do me good,” he answered her with a soft smile and the idea of another week like this sent Thomas into desperate mode. Even though it was him who forced Newt to take whole week off, because… he only had bad ideas, obviously.

“But there’s bit of a rush now, right?” he entered the conversation impulsively and Newt glanced at him with a raised eyebrow. “At work. Christmas and all that being close.”

“Yeah, it’s… a bit hectic,” the blond admitted, making Thomas’ mum go aww. “There’s lots of people taking vacations they didn’t spend yet, so we usually work crunch time.”

“Yeah, kind of same,” Thomas added. It wasn’t really a lie. But not the truth either. “And I know I said a week, but I’ve got some texts from work already, thought of going back tomorrow instead.”

Newt stared at him with an evident confusion, but Thomas knew at this rate they were going to crash and burn again if they stayed, and he didn’t want that. He couldn’t even trust himself to keep it civil when his blood boiled like in a bull taunted with red flag.

Except the red flag was an unknown nobody on the other side of the line of Newt’s phone.

And bed.

“Uh,” came from the blond. “No, wait. What? You…”

“We can visit again during Christmas,” Thomas offered a big fat lie, he almost bit his tongue at it. Christmas were a taboo, he knew mentioning it were already risky, but it gave him an out with his mum, so that worked at least. “When it’s calmer.”

“When is what calmer?” Newt still stared, Thomas said almost disbelieving, and he just prayed for him to play along and not act like he knew nothing about it.

“Work,” he answered stiffly. Too stiffly, he realized, since Newt’s eyes narrowed.

“Uh oh,” he heard Hannah interject, which meant he already failed in the mission to make this believable. Fuck.

“I need a smoke,” the blond announced instead of reacting and stood up sharply. Then shot Thomas a badly masked glare. “Keep me company?”

He wanted to say no but couldn’t when his whole family watched them like during tennis match. So he just nodded and followed Newt outside of the house while feeling like slapping himself.

“Care to explain or am I supposed to guess.”

The cigarette was lit, its fiery tip shone bright in the darkness of the porch once the automatic light shut itself because they weren’t moving like they rooted in the wooden floor. Newt was wearing his coat and Thomas only stood there in the long-sleeved shirt, which in retrospect was probably a mistake.

“I did explain,” Thomas said. “Just thought about work-,”

“No, you didn’t,” Newt stopped him immediately while crossing one of his arms on his chest while other held the cigarette like a weapon. “You said a week, so I took a week off. I’m not bloody leaving now. It’s my vacation.”

“I also said three days would probably be enough,” Thomas asserted. “And they are. I thought you’d appreciate it.”

“Why?” the blond demanded. “It’s not like I suffer here. I like this place. What’s your problem?”

That kind of question had no easy answer and Thomas held Newt’s eyes only for few seconds, before looking away.

“Am I the problem?” came another question, even sharper. “You just can’t stand me anymore, so you want to leave?”

“You know that’s bullshit,” Thomas scoffed. “Since when did I ever-,”

“No, I don’t know!” Newt interrupted him with raised voice and Thomas flinched. “I don’t bloody know anything about you anymore! You brought me here and expected what? War? Did you want us to fail?”

“Why would I want us to fail?” Thomas’ eyes widened in a shock. “What kind of fucked up logic would that be?!”

“I don’t know!” Newt barked. The cigarette he was holding was slowly fading away, the ash falling everywhere how he moved his hand. “But something’s up since this morning, so obviously you’re lying about work and I want to know why!”

Well, finding out his ex-boyfriend had a lover, or a sex friend or whatever the other person was definitely served as a wake-up call. Thomas couldn’t overlook it – he thought he’d be fine with anything, it had been years, but one fucking hickey and some fleeting texts and he just had the rising urge to tear the walls he built down and get angry and make Newt inevitably miserable, which he despised.

He fucking loathed it. And himself. And everything around him.

“Why did you even agree to come here?” he couldn’t help but demand. “Why did you even bother playing this stupid game when you have somebody home? You trying to make him jealous or it’s just your thing?”

Accusing – stupid Thomas, fucking idiot, just talk normally, what’s wrong with you – as always.

“What?” Newt’s eyes shot up, wide in honest surprise. His cheeks were red from the cold, or maybe embarrassment, Thomas didn’t know. “What are you talking about?”

“About that hickey on your neck?” Thomas pointed towards the incriminated spot and Newt’s whole body went rigid.

“A hickey…?” Newt’s free hand was touching the place now, his voice shocked. “You… ugh.”

“Look, it’s not my business, clearly,” Thomas rubbed his eyes tiredly, desperately trying to make an excuse for his own consciousness why he couldn’t look at Newt. “But obviously it’s causing you trouble with him, so. As I said. Three days are fine, we can leave now. Go back home. Forget about this.”

And forget about me trying to corner you, and me getting hard in the bed with you this morning, and me sounding jealous and lame, and me… just for being me.

“Are you fucking with me?” Newt’s voice sounded disbelieving. “Are you bloody serious right now? A hickey from some random guy appeared over night here? That’s what you’re saying?”

Overnight…?

“Overnight?” he asked a little dumbly, which forced him to look Newt in the eyes, where he saw hell unleashed. It made his throat squeeze almost hard enough to suffocate him.

“You think I just popped back home for a quickie, then back to your bed in the morning like a bloody Cinderella?” the blond seethed, the cigarette in his hand morphing into a protentional weapon of choice. “Where did that even came for, for fuck’s sake? You’d been seeing me for two days, never noticed anything, and then suddenly your Esmeralda syndrome got cured or what?”

“But-,”

“You bloody drunk fucker,” Newt took a step towards him and Thomas found himself hitting the entrance door with his back, when he automatically tried to back out. “Should have known your bird brain won’t remember anything.”

The realization hit Thomas like tons of bricks right in his face, able to cause heavy concussion if it were real.

“I did this?!”

“No, the bloody sucker behind you, who the fuck do you think?!” Newt’s voice was harsh, but Thomas could only hear the bare fact he made a hickey of size of Texas on his ex-boyfriend’s nape while spending the next day being jealous… of himself.

“What the fuck,” he breathed out with an ugly relief flooding his veins, which was all sorts of wrong. Being relieved over attacking his ex at night definitely did not count as a good point in anybody’s book. “What the fuck.”

“Calmer now?” Newt sighed in exasperation and Thomas couldn’t say he was. It just opened door to another set of bad he had to deal with.

“I attacked you when drunk?” he asked quietly, and Newt blinked in surprise.

“Attacked?” he repeated and then barked out a laugh. “No, you really didn’t. You were drunk out of your mind, for fuck’s sake.”

“I see.”

“Didn’t think it left anything,” the blond sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as if in memory, which was kind of hot – no Thomas, it was not hot, but embarrassing, shut up -. “I mean you just munched on me a little, then fell back asleep. No harm done.”

“You made a fuss about us sleeping in one bed but it’s no biggie when I leave a hickey?” Thomas couldn’t help but laugh a little and Newt’s face showed signs of hesitation.

“Look…” he tried after a moment, the cigarette in his hand nearly gone. “I… don’t know, you were just sleeping while holding me, it doesn’t mean anything-,”

“And that’s fine with you?” It was Thomas’ turn to interrupt him, and Newt looked a little lost for a moment.

“I suppose that’s fine with me, yeah,” he admitted slowly.

Thomas looked at his shoes, taking in a deep breath. He couldn’t deny the knot forming in his belly over the day already started easing off, for purely selfish reasons he had, but at the same time his head became even a bigger mess than before.

“So what does it mean?” he asked after a while. “I’m trying to do the right thing here, I thought… you’d rather leave than stay with me longer, after today, but…”

“I want to stay,” Newt answered immediately. “Unless you really don’t want me here. Then no, of course. I had the same problem the first day, feeling all kinds of weird and jumpy. I guess I just sort of dealt with it. Stepped out of my comfort zone and all that.”

“Sorry you had to.”

It wasn’t like Thomas wanted Newt to change anyhow by doing this favour for him. But he’d also be a hypocrite if he didn’t admit he wished Newt to feel good here. With him. Selfishly, hopelessly. Like before, like they were okay. Like they still… liked each other. At least a little.

He knew that kind of hope was self-destructive and harmful, but he didn’t stop loving this man three years ago, after going through an immensely rough patch, so he wouldn’t stop loving him now for no reason either.

“No need to be sorry,” Newt interrupted his thoughts with much softer tone than Thomas expected. “I mean even despite it’s you, you didn’t really do anything bad yet.”

“Wow,” Thomas snorted. “Way to ruin the mood, boyfriend.”

“I try,” Newt grinned, and it seemed like the tense mood dissipated and they both relaxed enough to breathe easier. Thomas possibly wouldn’t even notice he had been so strung up until now, if the huge boulder of irrational fear of fucking up didn’t fall off his shoulders with a bang.

“And just for the record,” Newt added while finally inhaling the last puff from the already burned-out cigarette before stubbing it out in the ashtray. “I noticed you digging into me in the morning.”

“Of course you did…” Thomas banged the back of his head against door in utter shame. “Because universe hates me, and you had to fucking wake up.”

“Yeah, well,” Newt let out a small shrug. “I got hard at night, if it makes you feel any better. Let’s call it even.”

“What.”

“Had a real nice dream,” the blond casually announced like he was ordering pie with no filling and Thomas was a stupefied cashier at Costa Cafe. “Woke up with you being handsy with me. Tried to scramble away, cue for you to make the hickey and fall back asleep.”

“Uh.”

“1:1, right?” The sly smile Newt’s mouth produced did things to Thomas’ underbelly and before he even caught himself, he automatically reached out and grabbed Newt’s side.

Fuck.

“Pretty lousy score,” he just said – bad Thomas, stop making a pass at your ex -, “That’s no match whatsoever.”

Newt glanced at his hand resting on his waist and then back to Thomas with a thoughtful hum.

“I’m not that good at sports,” he just said, looking back into Thomas’ eyes. “But you might be onto something.”

Thomas took a deep breath and risked the second hand grabbing other side of Newt’s waist, pulling him closer. The layers of clothing made him dissatisfied, no matter how cold it was and how his skin already felt like ice, he just wanted to get under the coat and the sweater and the shirt and make Newt react somehow. The blond just silently watched him, let him do whatever he wanted, and somehow it felt like a test and Thomas was scared of failing it.

“That’s it?” Newt broke the tense silence around them when Thomas just stood there, holding him.

“Thinking,” the brunet mumbled with a frown.

“About?”

“How to touch you without it being classified as groping,” he moved his hands a little lower as an experiment, getting no reaction. “Since it’s off the table.”

“Pfff.”

He hesitated, then gingerly let go of one side and reached for the zipper lodged under Newt’s chin, keeping the coat closed like a fortress. His hand barely cooperated with how frozen it was, but Newt still didn’t stop him and that encouraged him unfairly.

“Newt.”

“Yeah?” the blond’s voice was quiet and close to his face.

“What’s with all the texting?” He kept holding the zippier between his fingers like he couldn’t decide, and Newt made a soft huh? noise in the back of his throat.

“You were on your phone the whole day,” Thomas lowered his voice to almost a whisper. “Is there somebody…?”

A sigh. Thomas let go of the zipper.

“That’s Alby,” came a reply and if Thomas wasn’t already propped against the door, he’d take a step back. There was nowhere to run now, so he just let go of the blond completely, nodding.

“He’s my partner,” another string of words Thomas comprehended but wished he didn’t. “A bit demanding one.”

“Sounds like it,” he just commented, staring at his feet until Newt’s shoes came into view as well when he stepped closer.

Seriously testing me. That’s-

“A bit cruel,” he breathed out with a puff of white smoke and Newt pushed further and pressed his mouth against Thomas’. His cold lips lingered for a moment before parting, their breaths mingling, and Thomas’ heart fought really hard to get out of his chest and run away. The proximity was non-existent, Newt stood so close their chests were touching, and his eyes were so dark, and pupils blown wide Thomas got easily lost in them.

He always did. Nothing had changed.

“You look cold,” Newt whispered to his lips, hovering so close their mouths gently touched when they took a breath.

“Freezing,” Thomas answered in daze, holding back only by a miracle. He wanted to reach out and pull the blond man flush against him, to grind into him, to kiss him so deep his toes would curl, and he’d buck up, he just wanted so much it made him suffer.

“Alby’s my colleague,” Newt dropped quietly. “Funnily… you weren’t wrong about work being in a rush now. He’s struggling a little. Wanted to know my opinion.”

A colleague. And nothing else?

“Nothing else,” Newt answered like he could read his mind and then sagged against Thomas’ body like the energy just left him, resting his head on Thomas’ shoulder.

“I thought I can handle being this close to you,” he heard him mumbling into his shirt. “But the more I am, the less I can fight it.”

“I thought I can handle you dating somebody else,” Thomas added to it while letting his head fall back against the door with a dull thud. “But obviously not. It’s scary. I don’t want to fuck it up again.”

“Yeah,” Newt agreed with him. “Me neither.”

He wasn’t sure if this had been some sort of consensus they reached, or just a fling that happened because they were both lonely, but Thomas didn’t want to let go – even though he should have, logically, to protect them both. The pain they caused to each other three years ago was still there and festering under their skins, but the more Newt was pressed into him, breathing softly, the more Thomas noticed his reason slowly creeped away, like a thief in the night disappearing with loot.

But he wanted. For fuck’s sake how he wanted to just hold him close and promise him love and eternal happiness, and the scary part was he couldn’t promise shit. His love was real, but not unconditional, happiness was fleeting and simply relying on both of them and the rest of the world deciding whatever to fuck them up or not.

But…

“I give up,” he mumbled, weary to the bone. At Newt’s soft hm? he just sighed. “It’s fucking cold.”

The blond barked out a laugh, but nodded and let go of him, immediately taking all the warmth away.

“Then shall we assure them we’re not breaking up again?” he nodded towards the door and without waiting for Thomas’ reply he already reached for the handle. “Or not leaving tomorrow.”

“Yeah,” the brunet conceded. “Hannah’s going to be milking this for the rest of the week…”

“Serves you right,” Newt laughed quietly while opening the door and Thomas kept the answer to himself.

We’re not breaking up again rang in his head like a bell, deafening his reason even further. Newt didn’t protest when he reached for his hand on their way inside, and he wondered if his heart was ready for another trial.

He ignored the uncertainty and took a leap of faith.

So you are pretty one-sided, and are dominated by fire and water is kind of funny because those two elements contradict! One is full of passion, the other is notoriously detached. Not to mention your sun is in the very fiery Sagittarius you are kind of hard to pin down, both physically and emotionally. You enjoy new places, people, and ideas and tend to say yes to things because you think they may be fun in the moment, which can lead to trouble in your love life. But you are very caring and are always there for others. Helping people soothes your soul in a sense, I can see this in your Pisces moon. Your empathy is emphasized in your Cancer Jupiter which also makes you popular and optimistic. You are always fantasying about how things could be better and are a ‘things are always greener’ type of person. This can be seen in both your rising and your sun signs. There is an intensity in how you speak and write, and with your 7th house empty, it tells me that you face little trouble in your communication or relationships.

In love, you are a little complicated thanks to that Aquarius mars, plus it being in the fifth house. Honestly, everything is absolutely pefect in this movie… like when Mr. Darcy always look’s like he’s about to throw up everytime Lizzie is around, how Mr. Bingley is an absolutely sunshine, how Jane it’s his perfect match, how Lizzie is perfecly sassy and smart… I, obviously, and I can not stress this enough: THE HAND FLEX!!! (and when Mr. Darcy cofesses his eternal love to Lizzie in the rain and them they fight and them they almost kiss… AMAZING CINEMA!)

I loved the movie and I can’t wait to finally find time to read the book too…

When the movie was over, I felt like crying of happines... I so proud o f brazilian cinema and how it gets better and bigger each year!!

Thomas was in a great mood on Monday. So great a mood, his friends were passing alarmed looked between themselves—something he stayed completely oblivious to, looking forward to tonight.

Minho had told him to be at the Astronomy tower at eight. Curfew had been stretched to eleven for the seniors starting at 5th year, so Thomas didn’t suspect Minho was plotting something to get him in trouble. The funny thing is they weren’t even trying to hide it. Sure there was some sensitivity towards the issue, what with exposing their choice in partners, but it wasn’t some secret rendezvous. At the same time they weren’t flaunting it either, because of the Quidditch thing. There wasn’t anything to flaunt, Thomas concluded as he waited for a decent time to leave the common room. It wasn’t like they were boyfriends or anything. They screwed, and they spent time together. Everything was simple and straightforward and that to Thomas, was heaven sent. Once the clock turned close to 7:45pm, Thomas slipped out of the Common Room. Teresa and Rachel were having an argument over their homework and Aris was in the dorm room doing god knows what, so Thomas didn���t have to bother with them. Thomas stepped onto the flat balcony of the Astronomy tower, were Minho was already waiting next to a telescope. “Okay, what’s this about?” he asked, in way of announcing his arrival. “Right, well you may not know this, but I’m from a Muggle family and on our side of things, planets are pretty standard and uninteresting—but here,” Minho gestured at the telescope beside him, “—there’s so much going on, it’s insane!” Thomas crossed his arms over his chest and squinted at Minho suspiciously, “You want help with your Astronomy homework don’t you,”

“I don’t know how you could; I’m older than you,” Minho pulled Thomas over to him by the arm and he went easily, an amused smile inching across his face. “The particular constellations that make that Sun sign of that particular month actually move, but only on a specific time and it’s tonight.” “Okay…so what sign is going to move tonight?” Thomas asked, still not getting excited at this form of spending time together. He was hoping for some…getting physical shit…

“Mine,” Minho grinned. Thomas looked up at the dark sky, trying to figure out what the star sign of this month would be. He wasn’t that into astronomy…or was that astrology? “So how much time until—“ Thomas stopped when Minho pinned him lightly against the rough stone, staring at him unblinkingly. Thomas’ breadth caught in his throat; he had never seen Minho look at him like this—like a touch of tenderness, soft and…and something else. It settled something warm in his stomach that he didn’t want to over analyze, and Minho usually did an easy job in distracting him, but tonight it was different. Minho gave him his space for one, eyes travelling across his face less heated. And then there were his hands..the touch more of a caress, barely there but lingering and Thomas couldn’t help himself, leaning into it.

Minho’s fingers played across his features, over eyelids Thomas didn’t even recall closing. They glided down under his cheekbones up the bridge of his nose, then slowly to his lips, slightly parted, until a singular finger hooked under his chins, tilting his chin up slightly. This movement Thomas was familiar with but Thomas minded, only moving his neck forward rather than his body. He was slightly disappointed though receiving a chaste kiss, but not as much as he would have thought.

“If…” Thomas was surprised at how breathless he sounded, considering they hadn’t even done anything. Not really. He licked his lips and tried again, voice soft in the quiet night, “If we stay like this, we might miss your…your thing,” he sounded so winded but somehow felt high as well. It was hard to explain and as his eyes fluttered open, Minho’s gentle smile didn’t provide answers, just more hazy half words if that was even a thing… “How are you doing this?” Thomas should probably be embarrassed but he felt calm and safe. More things hard to explain and not enough mind to try.

“Only because you let me,” Minho whispered, cupping Thomas’ face and landing another chaste kiss. Thomas wanted more. He was greedy like that, always wanting more even as he was now, but Minho gently pressed his shoulders against stone and despite the lack of pressure—nothing really holding him down—Thomas stayed like that, but not without expressing the longing for Minho’s usual frenzied moments. Minho reached his hand out wordlessly, and Thomas took it, allowing Minho to intertwine their fingers together. When Minho adjusted the telescope, Thomas watched him, noticed the flush of excitement on Minho’s cheeks. When Minho gestured Thomas look into the eye piece, he did smiling softly at the feeling of Minho wrapping his arms around Thomas’ waist as he stood behind him. When that moment happened—the archer shooting his bow—Thomas gasped in delight and felt Minho’s arms tighten around him, sharing his awe. And when he looked down, turning his head to the side to look Minho in the face, he closed his eyes easily, receiving the kisses he knew Minho would give him. He was not disappointed.

Minho understood him so well, responding to his restlessness beneath the calm, because his fingers curled in Thomas’ hair and Thomas turned in his arms, tilting his face to the side, responding to this kiss with more fervour, one that carried longer, still gentle in nature but Minho’s hands were anything but. Thomas barely registered his own, roaming the expanse of Minho’s shoulder, running down both his arms until he was holding on to them, feeling boneless in Minho’s embrace.

He felt drunk but happy. And that was a combination that was more than welcome in his life. — Minho was sitting in the Great Hall with his team, gearing up for their game against Gryffindor. They left him alone during breakfast because they knew the Captain liked to keep to himself, getting into the zone. That and he would used this weird skinny device to listen to music. Some muggle thing.

Even his classmates left him alone; Minho appreciated it, head bobbing to the one song on repeat only he could hear because of the earphones. Being a sixth year student who had spent many a nights in the kitchens, he’d requested something special from the house elves today. Honey apple almond oatmeal. It was his favourite back home, and he’d given them the recipe and everything. The thing about house elves magic, when they sent the meals up, they’d sent his special order the same time too, so no one would suspect favouritism. Happily munching on his oatmeal, Minho couldn’t stop his eyes from sweeping the hall, gaze automatically going to the Ravenclaw table finding what he was looking for. What he saw actually made him pause in mid-chew. Amongst the sea of red, sat Thomas in green. Slytherin green. Minho felt an odd sense of pride and satisfaction, but something else too, and he couldn’t put his finger on it. It wasn’t the time for deep thoughts anyways, and his mind took him back to the formation strategies his team had been working on. Call it cheating, but coming from a muggle family, he had been brought up around muggle sports and his history with playing football, and watching rugby matches came in handy. Hey, it wasn’t like he was watching old matches of sports games, he was using what he knew from experience. That’s what made a great Captain anyways; the ability to use what you have and create more. There was a better more profound way of saying that, but Minho was quite happy with simple and easy. Kind of like him and Thomas’ relationship. His eyes strayed back over to Thomas, a small private smile lingering on his face. — “What are you wearing?!” Teresa hissed at him from across the table. All she got was a shrug from Thomas.

“Clothes?” he tried, knowing exactly where she was coming from, but today he was feeling a bit gutsy and decided to wear ‘enemy’ colours. Honestly the whole hate thing against Slytherin was a waste of energy. Whatever conniving people that house produced, were long dead. This was a new generation, new thinking. So why the same shit? He’d also purposely left his tie behind so as to not show which House he was from. It technically wouldn’t matter anyways, since everyone knew he was one of Ravenclaw’s Beaters. Thomas looked down the Ravenclaw table and spotted a couple other people wearing regular clothes or Slytherin colours, “Why aren’t you picking on them?” he asked, keeping his voice leveled. “THEY have friends in Slytheri—“ “Maybe,” Rachel cut in, her voice slightly raised to be heard over Teresa’s outrage, “Maybe it’s because of Gally.” Thomas sent her a grateful look. In the following weeks of acquiring a ‘lover’, Rachel had been watchful of him until finally asking him outright if he was dating someone when it was just the two of them in the library.  

The following conversation had been a bit awkward with Thomas immediately and unconvincingly denying the possibility of seeing someone. In hindsight, if he hadn’t made such a show of it, Rachel might not have prodded as much as she had. She had gotten it out of him eventually and Thomas hadn’t expected it, but he was pleased in the way he felt lighter, having told someone he was attracted to boys. “Seriously Teresa, what’s the big deal?” Aris rolled his eyes. “If Thomas wants to wear green, let him wear green.” “As a fifth year Prefect, I have to set an example and one of the ways is to ensure our values are passed down through the generations of Ravenclaws, is to show a united front between my friends too…” “Ahh…” Thomas nodded. There it was. The problem with letting go of prejudice came from his own family. He loved Teresa and the two cousins had always been competitive against each other, but sometimes she was just too much. “Just because you dislike ONE Gryffindor, you’re wearing Slytherin colours?” “That logic is flawed, Thomas,” Aris agreed. “Pick a side and stick with it.” Aris shrank in his seat when subjected to his girlfriend’s glare, and went back to eating quietly. “I don’t have to listen to this,” Thomas shook his head, getting up from the table, “What I wear or don’t wear has nothing to do with you, so shove off!” “Tho—“ Thomas didn’t hear the rest of Rachel’s words as he walked out of the big doors of the Great Hall.

Back in the hallway Thomas tried to calm down by taking a walk. He was tired of his friends’ behaviour—either they were all in his business or they completely ignored him. And nowadays Teresa was always arguing with him about Gally and to give him a fair chance…like what? Why the hell would he do that? “Hey Editton,” Ah! Speak of the fucking squashed tomato-nosed devil!! Thomas didn’t bother turning around and continued walking away. “Editton!!” This time a hand clamped down on his shoulder, forcefully turning him around to face Gally and the three boys that always seemed to follow him around. Thomas fixed him with a glare but otherwise kept his mouth shut. Lucky for him, before Gally could say anything, a new voice behind them asked mildly, “What’s going on here?” Thomas would recognize that voice anywhere. He looked around Gally’s bulky frame at Minho. Glancing back to Gally, he found the Gryffindor frowning.

“None of your God damn business,” Gally growled. Thomas personally thought he was an idiot to say that to a sixth year Slytherin who had more magical knowledge than he. “Well you’re in my way, so clear out or wrap it up. What’s it going to be?” Minho sounded like he didn’t give a fuck, but Thomas noticed his stance was guarded. Gally seemed to also sense Minho’s mood, because he relented fast. “I wanted to ask Thomas here, about his sudden change of clothing attire thing,” “Ah yes,” Minho flicked his eyes towards Thomas, “It’s hard not to notice the switch,” All the boys were looking at Thomas now, but he looked only at Minho. “Uh, I—I was told green brings out my eyes,” “You’re eyes are brown.” Minho said flatly. “Oh funny! I totally hadn’t noticed.” Thomas pushed his tongue against the inside of his cheek. God, Minho looked so hot right now…and those biceps.

“Anyways,” he ran his fingers through his hair, catching Minho follow the movement. Smirking, Thomas brought them down to his neck, and tugged on his collar lightly, “I’m rooting for you,” “For Slytherin or just me?” Minho asked. Thomas shrugged, “You can take it however you like, though…” his eyes travelled leisurely down Minho’s frame, taking in the flowing Slytherin Quidditch robes, “..I doubt you’ll be needing it, Captain,” The title was said in a lower key, and Thomas bit his bottom lip, already wanting Minho. Preferably with him on his knees, Minho’s fingers tangled in his hair, guiding Thomas’ mouth onto his hard cock and pushing it in, all the way to the back— Minho smirked, eyes darkening like he knew what kind of dirty things were running through Thomas’ mind as they stood in the corridor with Gally and his shadows. Actually Thomas had completely forgotten about them until Minho turned away abruptly and said, “There you go, an explanation.”

With that Minho pushed through them, and Thomas quickly made his exit then as well, before Gally could say anything else. He did stop to take a moment though behind a tapestry, willing his body to stop thrumming in arousal. Last thing he needed was to walk around popping a boner, especially if he was going to be sticking out like a sore thumb in the stands.

It appeared as though Minho had followed him, because suddenly he was yanked out of his hiding place, his lips crushed against Minho’s. Thomas gripped Minho’s shoulders, wanting to separate them because they were in the middle of the hallway without cover, but Minho’s hands strayed to his ass, grabbing it and pulling him closer to grind against his cock—and Thomas lost all concrete thought at the action, forgetting he was supposed to stay quiet, moaning into the kiss.

“Eager are we?” Minho teased smugly pulling away from the now messy haired brunette albeit grudgingly. No matter how much he itched to ravish his boyfriend, he did have a match against Gryffindor.

“Fuck, Minho,” Thomas said breathlessly, unsteady on his feet. Minho tended to do that; melt his brain, and rob him of sense. He hadn't even tried all that hard to pull them out of sight.

“Later, after we win,” Minho promised with a wink.

“Cocky much?” Thomas managed an eye roll despite the haze his brain was swimming in.

“You love it.”

Thomas made an agreeing sound as he leaned in for another kiss, which Minho allowed. When they parted, Thomas leaned against the wall with a sigh, knowing Minho should be going soon if he didn't want to be late. He wanted a good seat in the stands, but first there was a slight problem he had to take care of. It was like Minho could read his mind. “Don’t touch yourself,” Minho said in a slight warning tone and Thomas stared at him, a protest on his lips before he could think it through. “No! Minho you can’t—“

“It wasn’t a request. Now, be good.”  Minho smiled with satisfaction as Thomas’ arms fell to his sides reluctantly. Another chaste kiss later and Minho strode away leaving Thomas alone, horny and wanting. As much as he loved their game, Thomas wasn’t lying when he said Minho in uniform did things to him. Watching the Slytherin from the stands without getting to relieve himself? This was going to be pure torture, and Minho knew it. It was true though. Thomas let him. Let him take the lead, be in charge, and he loved it. Another thing not to over analyze. But what did it matter in the long run since they both got what they wanted: Slytherin winning the match, and Thomas on his knees, treating himself to the best view he could hope for.

a lot of what i have about drew’s family is Stolen.   her parents are high society ala emily and richard gilmore.   they’re very focused on their image and legacy and upholding both.   her brother,   eddie,   is the family rebel and the one who’s really straying hard from the Hospitality Buisness,   which makes her relationship with her parents better than it maybe could be.   she surrounds herself with the Gays of the greater carina area and generally just looks for people who can take a joke and blow off steam with her.

03. what is your character’s biggest fear? who have they told this to? who would they never tell this to? why?

drew’s biggest fear is wasting her life secretly being a Pawn to what her dad’s wanted all along.   she has plans to Steal his job one day,   and do things her way,   but until then,   she’s having to play along with him a little,   and she worries that she’s not fighting back hard enough.   she’s probably told eddie about this just because he Gets thinking their dad is a dumbass but that’s about it bc she doesn’t go into great Detail about her Career Plans with others.

04. has your character ever been in love? had a broken heart?

probably not 2 either.   she’s a casual dater.   she hasn’t really had a serious relationship before mara,   and i don’t know if we’ve established how Serious they are atm or at an In Love level.

05. your character is doing intense spring cleaning. what is easy for them to throw out? what is difficult for them to part with? why?

drew doesn’t have a problem getting rid of things.   she likes a good deep clean and tries to do one at least a couple times a year.   she has the hardest time getting rid of clothes and bags   ( specifically totes bags and backpacks,   her purse selection is much more Curated ).

06. it’s saturday at noon. what is your character doing? give details.

she likes spending saturday morning on the beach.   she goes for a run,   then sticks around for lunch with a book or her journal or something.   she likes just being outside and taking it easy.

07. what is one strong memory that has stuck with your character since childhood?

she remembers a winter her family went to spend the holidays with her mother’s parents in france.   it was a year where,   weirdly,   everyone got along,   and they didn’t bog themselves down with events and appearances during christmas,   and just focused on hanging out and being together.   she keeps meaning to make it back to visit again.

09. what is something that upsets your character? where do they go when they’re upset? 

drew’s upset by feeling like she’s being held back.   she thinks she has a lot of good ideas,   and doesn’t like feeling like they’re being ignored.   it’s a lot of what her problem with her family is:   her notes fall on deaf ears.   when she’s upset,   she likes to go for a walk or run,   or be around people who’ll let her rant and rave for a little.

10. when your character thinks of their childhood kitchen, what smell do they associate with it? why?

coffee.   she’s from a family of coffee people,   and moments they’d all spend getting out the door in the morning were sometimes the extent of the Family Time they’d all have together for the day,   so the smell of coffee brings back more memories of her childhood home and growing up with her family more than any food.

Astrology: Three Sun Signs That Will Have The Best April 2019 And It Feels Like A Brand New Era

April showers bring May flowers, but that doesn’t make the month of April any less significant. After all, this is the beginning of spring, which is basically the best season of the year, if I do say so myself. BTW, these three zodiac signs will have the best April 2019, and I personally think they deserve it: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.

Let’s face it, we all deserve to have a good month, but the reason I say that is, Pisces season has not been a walk in the park for the fire sign family, and well… for any of us. However, I’m pretty sure the water signs already knew how to swim through those waters.

Nevertheless, April is action-packed with transits, and my personal favorite… drum roll please… retrogrades! Yep, that’s right, stargazers.

Three planets will retrograde this month

No one likes retrograde cycles, although, I have good news for you all. Jupiter is one of the three planets kicking off its backward spin, and given that it is the planet of abundance and expansion, we probably won’t hate this transit as much as we’d think.

For instance, here’s how I see it: Imagine if Santa Claus traveled the world delivering gifts for a whole week, instead of in one night.

Meaning, when these two outer planets slow down, we are being asked to look inward at both our structures and limitations, while reflecting on the meaning of power, and where it has been taken away from us in previous occasions.

I know, it’s all very complex, but it’s important to take note of it, as these outer planets can ultimately affect an entire generation which is another reason why they’re often referred to as generation planets. Truth is, the slower they move, the more power they have. I mean, picture a slow-moving tornado.

Wouldn’t the after-effects be more potent? Well, same thing goes for the outer planets in astrology.

The Fifth House - The House of Pleasure

This is the fifth part of a twelve part series briefly explaining how the signs work in each house. Enjoy!

To start off, the Fifth House is ruled by Leo and the Sun. So when we think of pleasure it’s definitely a bit selfish. We are searching for what makes us feel good in all aspects of life. It is in this house where we find out that what makes us feel pleasure is usually through our creative self. This is when we showcase our talents whether it be in the arts, music, writing, or any field in which our pleasures are demonstrated. There is also a sense of innocence in this house because what makes us feel good comes naturally; we don’t have to force it, it’s a talent or desire we were essentially born with. The innocence is shown because as children we are genuine in expressing what makes us happy, and as we become older we tend to suppress those feelings in order to enter adulthood and make a living. If we are lucky, we are able to make a living out of our talents. Furthermore, since we are discussing pleasure, this house also represents why we have children and procreate. As humans we want to keep creating different versions of ourselves, and having children is another form of that. Where sex is pleasure, having a child is the result. And from this we can learn about our romantic affairs, hobbies, creative pursuits, and children. In life we ultimately just want to do what makes us happy and how we go about searching for that happiness and awaiting the pleasurable result is represented in the Fifth House. 

Aries in the Fifth House: Always a natural born leader, this Aries is no different than the rest. In your pursuit of pleasures you are a go-getter. You want to be the first one to make a move and if anyone beats you to it, you get a bit turned off. This placement can be too firey for more sensitive types so if you scare people away this may be why. You will come to learn, however, that happiness comes within so you don’t need people’s approval anyway. But it is important to try and see other people’s perspectives and not act so impulsively. Your hobbies, talents, and indulgences are the type to keep you physically active and you usually like to ride solo. Your children may acquire these traits as well. March Forecast for Sagittarius

Only 21 years old, this HUFFLEPUFF alumni works as a TINKERER FOR WEASLEY'S WIZARDING WHEEZES & COMEDIAN and is sided with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. SHE identifies as CIS-FEMALE and is a HALFBLOOD who is known to be DEPENDENT, RECKLESS, and SENSITIVE but also LOYAL, LOVING, and GENUINE.

NAME: Dominique Gabrielle Weasley. NICKNAMES: Dom, D-Money, Dominique the Dominator, Nic.   AGE/D.O.B./SIGN: 21 / Second of April / Aries BLOOD STATUS: Halfblood FORMER HOGWARTS HOUSE: Hufflepuff GENDER & PRONOUNS: Cis-Female, She/Her. SEXUALITY: Pansexual Demiromantic Polyamorus. Can be monogamous. OCCUPATION: Comedian, part time worker at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. Dom never really did well in school seeing as she was always either pulling dumb stunts that could’ve gotten her killed, or mouthing off and getting into fights to other students during class who dare insulted her family. She was always tinkering with some new ideas/inventions and her only true ambition for the rest of her life was to work at WWW, which she was perfectly content with. But more importantly, soon she realized she always found some way to make people laugh. So she ran with it. She is actually quite funny, but often times she feels as if she gets gigs because of her family’s name and who she’s related to — so sometimes she travels to open mic nights in Muggle London. She’s tried going by multiple alias’ but since she’s proud being a Weasley, she’s stopped trying.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:

Loyal: “You take care of everyone, my love, but who is taking care of you?” & “I like messy people; people who don’t fit in a box or stay between the lines, but who’s integrity is greater than any rule book and who’s loyalty is stronger than blood.” You will never have a friend or family member more loyal than Dominique Gabrielle Weasley Never. Sorted into Hufflepuff due to this trait ( and due the fact that she wanted to be near the kitchens ), Dom would die for you, she’d kill for you ( though she’d rather not but if it came down to it, she would ), but most importantly — she’d always be by your side. Growing up, she’d always try to get to know each and every family member and do something they loved. She never wanted any of them to feel like they were unloved, which translated into all of the friendships she had. Despite the fact that being part of her family feels as if there is a weight on her shoulders that may indeed break her back, her family means e v e r y t h i n g to her, the people she loves mean everything to her, and she makes sure they know it and proves it to them in some way — even at the sake of her own health or sanity.

Reckless: “I could never bear the idea of anyone expecting anything from me. It always made me just want to do the opposite.” & “Maybe you need to feel you’re falling, falling, falling into the abyss, in order to dare spread your wings.” Often times in school, Dominique has done stunts that could’ve easily compromised her life. People would think she did this for attention but the fact of the matter was and still is, Dom does them because she has the need to test herself. To test how far she can go, and not at all for attention. It gave her a weird, strange sense of accomplishment each time she didn’t die. She loves testing herself to the limits, because it’s one of the only things she felt she had control of to test herself in: herself and her body. At times she has gotten actually hurt, almost drowning in the Black Lake her fifth year and more recently almost getting alcohol poisoning — having to get her stomach pumped — which contributes to the idea that people think she does it for attention. Truly, she doesn’t, she just loves to test herself, though it goes deeper than that. Often teenagers, young adults feel as if they are indestructible and Dominique never really felt so. She felt always so breakable, always watched and was compared to her other family members for the great things they did. It helps her prove to herself that while she’ll never be a hero, she is in some way indestructible. That she’s worthy of being the daughter of Fleur Delacour & Bill Weasley, and often likes the confidence it gives her.

Low Self Worth: “And you make jokes because you’re afraid to take anything seriously. Because if you take things seriously, they matter.“ Though she’d deny it in a heartbeat, Dom has low self worth. Don’t confuse this with low self-esteem ( though this may also be true as well, still she’d deny it ), but she feels as if she is an expendable part of the Delacour-Weasley-Potter ( DelaWotter ) clan -- even though she had no basis for this feeling. There are so many people in the joint families, including the few god-siblings, her death, her dying, she feels as if would hardly make a dent. She’s really always been a major disappointment of sorts — and she knows it ( though they love her all the same, she feels like she’s disappointed them all ).  All the expectations placed upon her shoulders, she threw out the window like the joints at her house she wasn’t supposed to be smoking, and while she acts like it doesn’t bother her — it does. Still, Dominique will be Dominique, and logically she knows that ever living up to who her parents are, who her uncles & aunts are, would never happen — it’s not like there’s a war where she could prove herself in ( at least, there wasn’t ) not that she’d ever want to be a hero — but sometimes she just looks around herself at family gatherings and thinks they’d be better off without their disappointment of a child. Because really, Dom is brilliant in her own way, but she’d never apply herself truly, why start now?

Loud: "Well behaved women rarely make history.” & “ You’re only given one spark of madness, you mustn’t lose it.” Dom will be Dom, which includes her loud mouth. Dominique has never been one to hide her opinions as well as lower her voice. The type of girl you definitely hear before you see, Dom is loud. Boisterous and loud. With Dominique’s loudness, also comes her lack of a proper filter. In fact, Dom usually speaks before she thinks. You always know where you stand with Dominique, which may be a plus to this. Though, the things that are most important to her are the ones she thinks about and rarely shares. You’d think a girl so loud would have expressed her feelings about how she feels about herself, but she never has, unless it’s in one of her comedy routines or sketches. With this loudness, comes unfailing sass, often always having a quip or two in her pocket to use on anyone.

Self-Depreciating: “I’m just being self-depreciating for the sake of my own masochistic amusement.” Making fun of herself and her family, but mostly fun of herself has helped her make a living. In school. it was also her shield to any bullying, rudeness and the like. When she did so, she saw how it made people laugh, so she thought to herself, why wouldn’t it now? The more people laugh at her self-depreciative jokes, the more it confirms what she already believes about herself and attributes to her low self-worth. To her, all jokes hold truth, which is why they’re so funny in the first place, and the ones about her are no exception.

Blunt: “She’s mad but she’s magic, there’s no lie in her fire.” Like it was mentioned above, you always know where you stand with Dom and as well as mentioned she doesn’t have a real filter. In her comedy, practically no one ( friend, family, foe, even the Wizarding World ) is safe, and if you ask her for an opinion she’ll usually just give it. Unapologetically, Dominique shares her opinions and in her comedy bits makes fun of the world around her, as well as the people around her, not in a malicious way — just because her filter is so lacking in that respect, she can’t help but say what she does. Dom lives by the philosophy of “if you wouldn’t say it to their face, don’t say it at all” and with the tenacity she has, she easily lives by it.

Sensitive: “I give a fuck. I give lots of fucks actually. I’m a prostitute of feelings.” Deep down, R Dominique is a sensitive soul, but masks this with the rest of her personality. She’s not sensitive in the way that she feels everything but in the way that the little comments people make stay with her, and wound her deeply. The little comments have shaped her, things said even in passing that others have probably long forgotten. It’s easy to forget though, with the bad habits and vices she has, Dom tries to escape them all. No matter how many times Dom will swear up and down that she doesn’t care, there’s a part of her that does care, very very much.

Additional Traits: Loving, Impulsive, Humorous, Clumsy ( Dominique is clumsy in the way Peter Parker is, pre-Spider bite. Though, she’s definitely not as uncoordinated, if she isn’t trying to be coordinated she’ll easily stub her toes on things, trip over herself, just normal dumbass things. If she is trying, the three areas she really tries in are: food related things, pick up Quidditch — even then she just likes wacking the bludgers around at people — and when she does her “gonna get laid dance” in clubs. Even then, she sometimes fucks it up and doesn’t always have the right music. Added fact: that song is one of her favorite songs and she actually enjoyed the US version of Skins. )  Genuine, Gluttonous ( when it comes to food ).

Basics

Style: “A flannel a day keeps the healers, doctors and fuckoffs away.“ Flannels are her staple. If anyone was ever stuck on what to get her for Christmas or her birthday, all they’d have to get her is a flannel t-shirt. She’s never been the type of girl to need much, really, as long as she has clean underwear ( of course a few lacy thongs as well ), a good bra, and some sort of form of pants, a snack, she’s fine to go. Her favorite type of shoes to wear are anything slip on. Whether they be muggle Uggs, flip flops, anything that can get her out of the house quickly, unless she’s lazing around all day, she’ll wear special foot slippers which massage her feet. Her style is definitely something she needs to work on, though she just really likes comfortability and doesn’t really care what other people think about how she looks. As long as she likes it and is comfortable, she’s good. Dom also will steal other members of her family’s clothes, letting them know she did, after the fact, unless she weaseled the clothes out of them, asking nicely and promising they’ll come back in good health. It’s a gamble if they do or don’t, really.  

Bad Habits:

Burning things. Dom firmly believes that burning things can be a cleansing, badass, and empowering experience and things that are no longer needed or give her “bad juju” should be burned.

Putting an excess of peanut butter and cream cheese on any of her bread,even fancy schmancy bread. Her favorite bread is challah bread but she’ll still ruin any sort of bread with it.  

Practically binging on food then not eating for the rest of the day, sometimes day and a half or always eating. With Dominique, when it comes to food, her habits are nothing normal, but because she’s never really had to the food shopping before, she’s extremely forgetful when it comes to actually buying it. This will often times make her buy a ton of food in the hopes of being able to spread it apart of a number of days, but will end up eating it all in less than two days. She’s also prone to ordering take out.

Painting her nails then ripping off the polish right after it’s dry. Not only is it a waste of Lily’s nail polish, it’s really bad for her finger nails and makes it impossible for her to get a manicure.

Indulgences:

Flannels and pot. Dom had only dared try anything heavier than pot only a few times and decided it wasn’t for her. Still, she really does enjoy smoking weed, seeing as it has sometimes helped her come up with her best tinkering ideas for WWW and comedic ideas for her shows. Relaxing at school as well when she was at school.

She doesn’t like spending money on alcohol really seeing as it’s more expensive most of the time, and will barely do so, going to bars and letting people hit on her, then taking the drink and showing them how obnoxious she can really be. But, if she had an indulgence when it came to alcohol, it would be raspberry Vodka.

As a self proclaimed ‘foodie’, Dom loves splurging and going to new up and coming restaurants and taking pictures of the food. I headcanon that this is a thing she does especially to take her parents out to eat, as she spoiling them & also justifying her want to eat out.

Dominique also likes buying things for her family or friends, no matter what the occasion is even if there isn’t. If she sees something just walking down the street that she thinks or knows one of her family members or friends would like or need, she doesn’t think twice in buying it. It’s really not her trying to bribe them, or buy their love, she just really likes the feeling of giving things to them because they’re her world.

Hobbies:

Dance Dance Revolution, something she’s tried to get her grandpa Arthur to play in the past and could play all day and night. Something she’s tried to get everyone in her family to play.

Reading poetry by Maya Angelou, a secret pleasure she likes, poetry in general. But seeing as Dom has never been the intellectual type or at least never come off as so, she keeps this hobby relatively hidden. Dom knows her place, she knows how other people perceive her, and knows they might probably poke fun at it. Fleur showed her the literature when she was younger in an effort to help Dom learn to read. Seeing as Dom is dyslexic, reading regular texts never appealed to her, long and daunting paragraphs feeling like running a marathon but her mother was determined to get her to read. Maya Angelou’s works were what got through to Dominique helping her actually try at reading, and she’s kept the same book her mother gave her on her 11th birthday before she left for Hogwarts. Of course once she got to Hogwarts, there were accommodations for her dyslexia, but she’s kept the book ever since.

Pick up Quidditch, when Dom was in school, she got on the team in her fourth year as a Beater but was thrown off the team because she’d constantly forget to go to practices or not care enough to go. Truthfully, she didn’t like the level of competition, and knew that she’d never be as good as some of the people in her family so she quit while she was ahead. 

Though, her favorite one by far is talking to each and every one of her family members, catching up with them, doing things with them, anything.Whether it’s stopping by their work, their house, absolutely anything. She wants to make them all feel special in some way, wants to make them feel loved because of the fact that she doesn’t always feel that way. This didn’t stem from being adopted, not being part Veela or even comparing herself to her family members, Dominique just seems to have an inferiroity complex because of all the ideas she has about what her family MUST think ( even though they don’t ) about her and her actions. About what their name meant and her lack of ability to properly measure up. Though none of her family members have ever given her reason to feel this way, she does, so to combat this feeling that makes her guilty she spends as much time with them proving herself & her worries wrong.
