So I saw you helped someone with a fic search recently and I could really use some help 😅

So I fell out of my Witcher hyperfixation a while ago (I fluctuate and come back it’s the adhd of it all 💀) but I have had a vivid recollection of a fic I read but can’t find it in my bookmarks, and I bookmark every fic I read that I like so it’s surprising it’s not there!!!

I forget some elements, but Jaskier is miserable at his job and it turns out Geralt (who maybe he meets through a random hookup or BDSM thing possibly???) is the ceo of the company. Hijinks ensue, with a happy ending

I pulled out all my search hacks and skills but can’t for the life of me find it 😭😭😭 if this is familiar to you or any of your followers I’d appreciate the help

I think one of the reasons I don't like St*ncy is like... ok for one like on paper I think the idea of a ship of 2 people who love each other but can't make it work because they're both incapable of showing real vulnerability do they separate until they both grow up sounds good. it sounds great. but idk if that's what stancy is at the end of the day?

like I don't buy that Nancy loves Steve. I barely even buy that she likes him. Sure, she no longer thinks he's an idiot, but you don't marry every ex you think has improved. like what do they have in common, though? what are they going to talk about when they're no longer fighting for their lives? what are they going to do when she wants to move to the city to write and Steve wants to live in the suburbs and raise babies?

and like. ok Steve has improved in the emotional maturity department. has Nancy? jancy worked because Jonathan was sensitive and emotionally open and everything Nancy couldn't be and craved to have in a relationship. but now after years of trauma he's distant and pulling away. And they wanna present Nancy as newly emotionally open, too, but we haven't seen her work on it like Steve has so it kinda falls flat?

It doesn't feel like they're meant to be or that they both grew outside of the relationship to be perfect for each other. It feels like Nancy found what she needed with Jonathan, Steve worked on himself, and now when Steve is offering Nancy emotional intimacy that Jonathan can't, she's choosing Steve. Which is... valid i guess? craving emotional intimacy is common. it's not a criticism of Nancy for needing it. but like... the writing around it is so hollow and that feels like it's all it is and like. how long can Steve possibly sustain that? you know??

like it really feels like Steve and Nancy are attracted to each other bc they feel like they're supposed to be STILL and I kinda thought that was what both their arcs were teaching us is a bad way to make decisions. and like its understandable why they are drawn to each other. its incredibly human to want to revisit your past but Better this time.

I just don't know if ur endgame ship on one of the most popular TV shows of all time should be like. mirroring humanity's urge to return to situations that will never really work out for us.
