I think my university should pay me for emotional damages for having to write a thesis exposé. To the amount of whatever I need to go on a short trip to Helsinki to recharge from this bs and to get a tattoo and a coffin full of Fazer chocolates.

If you're doing "Send me a song/media/fandom and I’ll tell you my opinion of it through little doodles", I'm in too!
Soo, I won't be original (my Joker Out brainrot is brainrotting) and will ask about "Demoni" and "Vem da gres"
Also, I LOVE your works <3
Kinda doing it? I have a celebration ask going where I offer different things (it is the pinned post) yet I understand if you didn't see it since I forgot to specify in anon's post x'D
So I'll say welcome in :3 xD
Here's my take :3
Oh and thank you 🥺💚(hopefully these quickly drawn doodles won't taint your opinion of my works too much x'D hahahaha the dang horses I can't x'D)
Feel free to check out my 400 watchers' celebration linked in my pinned post and send me a prompt to answer with doodles

serbian/russian false friends*: verbs edition.
*false friend is an interlingual homonym, a word in a different language that sounds similar to a word in a given language, but has a different meaning.
љубити/ljubiti (to love; to kiss) - любить (to love).
играти/igrati (playing (a game)) - играти (playing a game/an instrument/a role).
слушати/slušati (to hear/to listen) - слушать (to listen).
сучествовати/sučestvovati (to participate) - существовать (to exist).
поздравити/pozdraviti (to greet) - поздравить (to congratulate).
мазити/maziti (to spoil) - мазать (to smudge).
потрошити/potrošiti (to spend) - потрошить (to rip, in, like, Jake The Ripper sense).
схватити/shvatiti (to understand) - схватить (to grab).
грабити/grabiti (to grab) - грабить (to rob)
хранити/hraniti (to feed) - хранить (to save)
this is not a full list, of course, but those are the most common misunderstandings in my experience.

hello everyone and welcome to the place that revolves only around me and my learning.
i grew up with a loving family speaking german and was first exposed to (active) language learning when i was 9 or 10.
at that time my uncle came back for good after spending the past 10 years in china, what surprised us all was his girlfriend that came with him.
simultaneously to that i started learning english i school as it was a mandatory part for the last year of primary school - at least at my school :3
now, almost a decade later, i am fluent in english, and know a little chinese which was deepent by a language course i took in my first year of university.
for the foreseeable future, i have relocated to oslo, norway for educational purposes and am signed into a norwegian course with an overly motivated teacher.
i have followed my uncle's food steps: left the country and brought a foreigner into my family. my partner and his family are the main reason why i want to learn serbo-croatian. my biggest goal and motivation is to say my wedding vows in his mother-tongue - but don't tell him that!! both of us are almost done with our bachelor's degrees, one of us in international business and the other in automotive engineering, so that's still going to take a while ;)
so yeah basically i am native in german, fluent in english and learning norwegian, serbian and a little bit of chinese.
i hope you can be patient with me trying to figure out this learning journey, balancing it with my exams, thesis, travels and social life.
stay tuned and see you soon :3
ps. my uncle and his girlfriend are now married with two kids, a dog and a nice house.

09.09.23 Life Update!
It has been a very long time since I updated this blog but I would like to start using it again so ill start with a quick update on my life and what's going on. The short of it is I still here and I am still learning!
two years ago I moved to Norway (again) to do my masters degree which I completed this past June! although I have been back here for 2 years, studying and working part time and life in general took up 99% of my time so learning [actively] Norwegian took quite a long pause - especially in the last 6 months where I was writing my thesis
I have at least one more year here where I hope to find a full time job! I am dedicating most of my time to Norwegian and the rest to applying for jobs
I am currently going through a breakup which has played a large role in my capacity or lack thereof in the past couple of months. I say this to say that for now I will no longer be learning Serbian because right now my main motivation no longer exists. I hope one day I can come back to it and I hope it won't be too painful but for now I have other things to focus on and thats okay.
this week I have recorded short videos (about 4 minutes) every day just talking about whatever I feel like
I also started making flash cards again focusing on the "625 most used words" - I think its been quite helpful so far as in a way it feels like im "starting over" even though that is far from the truth
I went to a language cafe today for the first time in a longggg time and probably had the easiest time speaking in comparison to times before!
my next post will hopefully be more comprehensive in what im doing and what my goals are that way I can start using this blog regularly again which is also a big part of my learning process
thanks for reading!

I just hope Filip Baloš decides to return one day to PZE. He truly deserves to compete, no less than Luke Black deserved this year

I’m not gonna do much to the blog itself at the moment. I’m just going through the Serbian witchcraft/paganism tags to reblog some stuff.
(Btw: I’m still a Lokean but as I’ve said earlier when I revived this account that I also want to get in touch with my roots, plus Veles has watched over my family for generations disguised as St. Nicholas.)
