when sakura is lovesick, she giggles. a lot. a lot more than she would have thought otherwise dignified. when she’s lovesick, her patience never wears thin around you, to the extent that chaewon thinks something must be wrong. then in private, she lets out one of her frustrated screams, loud and oddly endearing, because she thinks you’re so cute. then chaewon understands that kkura’s only illness is that of being in love.

when sakura is lovesick, she dotes on you like it’s what she was born to do. she doesn’t stop carrying around eunchae’s favorite snacks in her purse, but she does start carrying yours too. she has to make sure that you’ve eaten, that you’re not too cold, that you’ve had enough water to drink that day. kkura is lovesick, so she’d be worse off than you if you ever fell ill.

when sakura is lovesick, she stays that way, with no cure. she imagines not even you breaking her heart could lower her love-induced fever. but she’s so lovesick that she doesn’t think about that, she thinks about your lips on hers even when she’s felt that glorious piece of heaven a million times over. see, she just gets sicker and sicker with each kiss like your lips are her drug of choice. the fever rages when you become hers, not just her crush.

when sakura is lovesick, she smiles like she holds the world in her palms, because that’s exactly what she feels like when you’re in her arms. she’s calm and even though she’s an addict for your touch, she still sees clearly. she knows you calm her storms and that you’re meant for each other. that you bring out the best in her, you keep her on her best path and she couldn’t have found anyone better than you.

when sakura is lovesick, she whispers it in your ear at night when she’s all soft and sleepy. she tells you when she slips a hand into your back pocket and when she’s proud of you and when you’re proud of her. she says it when you call her sweet nicknames and it’s always written all over her face with the way that she looks at you. lovesick sakura is the most precious thing you’ll ever get, and it’s impossible not to know it. so you’re lovesick for her too.

the gentle rumble of the washing machines always reminded you of home. when you and your mother would travel to the laundromat just across the street to wash your clothes. you would talk to the old lady who ran that laundromat, beg your mom for extra quarters to use at the gumball machine and nap quietly to the sound of the clothes drying.

now, as a college freshman, washing your clothes was more of a chore. and spending your extra quarters that could be going to your awful student debt, was instead going to the weekly clothing wash. but yunjin always made things a little better.

you held the basket of your clothes to your waist, the plastic handles making small indents onto the palm of your hands. yunjin smiles as she holds open the laundromat door for you and you walk in, immediately setting down the basket on top of a machine that wasn’t running and yunjin follows suit.

it’s quiet, except for the clothes that are already running. you and yunjin have a routine every sunday. she would place her clothes in first and yours second while you grabbed the tide pods (thanks to chaewon) and popped them in as soon as she was done loading the clothes. sometimes her hand would graze against yours and it would send little shocks up to the top of your head. it was something you always brushed off.

you would then turn the nozzle and select the correct temperature and setting and then meet with yunjin at the seats in the corner, where she would have your favorite snacks from the vending machine waiting for you.

you settled in next to her as she handed you your share of snacks. but something felt different this time. the twinge of something new blooms in your heart, and you can’t quite put your finger on it.

yunjin nosily opens her chip bag, which gains the attention of an old man in the opposite corner and he sends her a silent glare, she apologizes and pops a chip into her mouth afterwards. “did you ever get that guy’s number? the one from your business class?” her tone is a slightly bitter.

you almost don’t hear the question with how hard you’ve been staring at her. the way her lips move capture you and her nose has a perfect little point, and you’re not sure you’ve ever realized that before. you clear your throat to try and cover your staring, she sees it anyways but doesn’t say anything.

“no, he didn’t seem that interesting.” you open the water bottle yunjin gave you earlier and down it, in an attempt to drown out the red that paints your cheeks. she hums in response as she finishes her chip bag quickly and folds it into triangles to busy herself.

something else travels in the air. the smell of something new. it gets in between you and yunjin, and you aren’t sure how to feel.

“did you wanna check on the clothes?” you ask, your voice filling the silence. she turns her head to look at you and there’s a couple chip crumbs near the corner of her mouth. without thinking, you reach out and brush them off with your thumb. yunjin jumps a little at the sudden contact but she sits still until you’re done. her eyes avoid yours and she isn’t why it’s so awkward. it’s not like you haven’t been this close before.

when you’re done, she gets up and mumbles something about the clothes. and it hits you. how could have you been so blind?

she was right in front of you.

a huh yunjin drabble !

genre : fluff, a tad bit of angst.

author's note : ah this was going thru my brain so bad that I ended up making another whole blog to upload gg fanfics 😭 the lack of yunjin fics at times is so sad :") anyways enjoy and lmk what you think !

The arena was filled with loud cheering, bright lights and very, very many people yet the one who you wanted to see seemed to not be visible at all.

It was the end of another successful concert, the girls' final greetings having been done and the arena going dark to let them come backstage.

You'd been at the back as well, staring in awe at the way they performed more specifically at the way she did. You don't think you once even looked at anyone else, though you knew and appreciated how hard they all worked but she was, well for you at least, different.

You were head over heels in love with the woman, you'd literally go and pluck the stars from the night sky or go in the deepest of oceans to find the shiniest pearl if she even simply asked you for it.

Huh Yunjin.

And by some miracle you think, she loves you too. Not that you weren't someone who didn't deserve her. You had your own accomplishments which ultimately led you to working as her personal bodyguard.

Though you were pretty sure if someone told you ,a few months ago, that you'd be in a relationship with said woman, you'd probably have punched them for making such an awful joke.

You didn't get on the right foot. Her being stubborn and not wanting a bodyguard to follow her around even if she wants to go to a simple trip to the store while you were just trying to do your job.

She acted like a menace that time but that's a another story for another time.

For now, you just wanted to check up on her. And as though the universe favoured you for the first time in a while, but you do think it did favour you when you somehow ended up with her, you spot her making her way after all the other girls walked in.

Her hair was slightly tousled, sweat covering her forehead and her face all red from performing but you still find her the most beautiful woman you'd ever laid your eyes on.

She seemed to look around for someone, and a small grin made its way on your face, realising she might be looking for you.

Her stylists and the crew were already helping the girls out by giving them water bottles and towels, she seemed to promptly ignore them as she still searched around.

You shook your head when she declined a water bottle and moved your hand to grab one from the person passing them around.

Once you looked up, before you could even call her, she spotted you and maybe it was the lights in the room but her eyes seemed to brighten up even more than they usually were.

You gulped as you realised just how much you loved to see her look at you like that, thinking about what you'd do if it ever disappeared.

She sprinted across the room and stood in front of you. You had to tilt your head slightly down as she was shorter than you. You bit your lower lip to prevent a grin from forming on your face as you saw the same excitement glow on her face each time she seemed around you.

"Hi." She breathed out as a smile formed on her face and you couldn't control your own chuckle as you shook your head.

"Hello." You said with your hands behind your back still holding the water bottle. You looked around briefly, noticing how the busy crew was tending to other matters, leaving Yunjin to her since she didn't seem like she needed anything at the moment.

Well not anything they would be able to provide because what she really wanted was who stood in front of her.

"So what did you think of the performance?!" Her cheery voice brought your attention back to her as she put her hands to her side, clenching her fists as though she was nervous and excited. But also to control herself from throwing herself at you like she sometimes would.

Being the observer you were, you knew she was out of breath seeing her chest rise and fall in quick breaths so you put your hand in front, prompting her to take the water bottle.

"Drink some water first bab— Miss." You coughed out before the nickname slipped, her eyes blinking when she recalled where she was.

"R-right! Water! Yes, uhm thank you." She grabbed the bottle, trying to open it but her hands were sweaty and the condensation on the bottle seemed to have made it slippery too.

"Here." You grabbed her hand and took the bottle back, opening the cap, and handing it back to her.

"Thank you!" She smiled at you as she gulped down a sip, almost moaning in relief as the coolness calmed her throat and mind.

Checking your surroundings, you made sure no one was paying attention before you, leaned in closer to her, just a little forward to not seem suspicious but also only say something she could hear.

"Anything for you, baby." You whispered sweetly as though it was the most normal thing, and it was but not at that time.

You stood straight in time to see her choke, and your eyes widened reaching for her water bottle as you briefly went beside her to pat her on the back.

"Wh-what did you—" Once her coughing stopped, she looked at you while glaring but you could see her cheeks turn pink.

"What? I said nothing." You shrugged innocently, as you put your hands to your side now standing beside her.

"You-!"

"Unnie?" Eunchae came up in front of you, calling Yunjin who was flustered and glaring at you.

"We're going back to the hotel and probably planning to eat out, joining?" She eyes you two, in suspicion but you just looked blankly, looking away from them.

Yunjing thought about it for a second though, because what she really wanted was to spend her time with you now. She was exhausted and didn't feel like going out, just wanted you to hold her until her world was just the scent of your cologne and warm arms around her.

Sighing, she just nodded, trying not to look too disappointed by how her plans seemed to go differently.

"Yeah, yeah, fine." Her tone sounded off but Eunchae figured it was likely exhaustion.

"Alright we'll be in the van!" She happily smiled at you both to which you returned a small grin and Yunjin waved her hand.

"Come on, let's go, they're waiting." You told her as you looked towards the exit door.

"But I wanted to just…nevermind yes let's go!" She shook her head, not finishing her train of thoughts as she moved forward, you trailing behind her in slight confusion as to what her sentence was going to be.

And with that you followed her out to where the van was and greeted the others as you pulled open the door for her.

The night went smoothly after that, having been told you could go on your own after you dropped off the girls at the restaurant, being reassured you weren't needed because it was just below the hotel and there were the other bodyguards there too.

But it took everything in you to not go and hug her when you were saying your farewell for the day, the disappointment and sadness that glimmered before appearing again.

Why was it so hard to just spend time with you?

She was quick to cover it, her smile, the one that was definitely not genuine, on her face as she waved her goodbye to you. She didn't even mouth anything to you, like she usually would when you'd leave and you knew there was something up.

Being the best partner you thrived to be, you got back to the hotel, to your room, changed into comfy grey sweatpants and a sweatshirt while putting on another layer of a black jacket, put on your cap and went about.

It was difficult though. To find a flower shop open at this hour but lucky for you, there was one downtown that sat in a quiet corner. You made your way there and scanned the variety of flowers, the middle aged woman greeting you while you politely greeted her.

Finally settling for a combo of red and white tulips, you got a bouquet made and quickly made your way back to the hotel so as to not seem like some sort of creep. You'd hidden the flowers in a paper bag that the lady gave you and it was better to hide them that way.

Going back to your room, you made sure you looked decent enough, threw the paper bag on your bedside table and got out of your room.

Lucky for you, both yours and her room were near each other. The privilege of a personal bodyguard you suppose. She messaged you a few minutes ago that they were back and she was headed towards her room.

Her last message to you read,

'goodnight :( miss u <3'

It was only two minutes ago, so you doubt she'd be asleep as you stood in front of her door.

You looked down to prevent your face from being visible, scanning the hallway to make sure no else was there before you knocked on the door.

You could hear some shuffling and then it was quiet for a moment before you saw the doorknob turn.

Yunjin was very confused when she saw someone hiding behind a bouquet of flowers, her brain being a little slow in processing due to her exhaustion but also distraction.

You moved the flowers beside your face, her coming into view now before you grinned at her,

"Hi." She had to blink once, she blinked twice and her mouth fell agape.

"Firstly, these are for you. I don't think I told you about your performance, like you were incredible as always and I just felt like bringing you these to show you since I'm not really good with words and—oomph!" You yelped when she leaped forward and into your somewhat open arms. You quickly put one hand around her waist to stabilise her and yourself while holding the bouquet in the other.

Her head buried itself in the crook of your shoulders as her arms wrapped around your neck. She felt a low vibration from your chest indicating you laughing,

"Seems like my surprise is appreciated."

"Come on love, let's head inside yeah?" She just mumbled in agreement as you slowly walked inside. She moved backwards as you guided her by her waist, careful to not bump into the door.

Placing the bouquet near a table by the entrance, you kicked the door closed as you wrapped your moved your hand to close the lock.

Finally you wrapped your arm fully around her as you continued to stay standing, just in each other's embrace. "Honey, is everything fine? Tell me, is there something bothering you?"

"Just…just you. Missed you. Wanted you." She whispered to you so softly, it made you feel the kind of warmth you do when the sun touches your skin on a cold day. It wasn't too far off anyways considering she was your sun, the brightest star in the sky.

"Well you have me now, want to get more comfy love?" Your hand automatically reached for her head and gently caressed her soft hair. She hummed in both agreement and relief as her previous thoughts of not being able to see you went away.

All she knew in that moment was the smell of your homely cologne, the familiar musky sandalwood and the way you engulfed her form in your arms.

She didn't even realise you were both lying down on the bed until she looked up to see you staring back at her. "Good?" Your voice was low making it sound slightly deeper than usual. Just the tone she secretly loved.

There you both laid, your arms around her body and hers around your shoulders, legs somewhat tangled as she looked up at you and gently grinned.

She nodded as you moved your hand up to her cheek, thumb caressing it as you leaned down.

You kissed her forehead as she shut her eyes, you then moved to her right eye, softly pressing your lips and the same to the other. You pecked her nose before finally settling on a longer peck on the lips.

When you pulled back, she made a noise of protest, which had you giggling at her, "What?" You teasingly asked, "More." and before you could tease her more she moved her hand and grabbed you by your jacket collar, promptly pressing your lips against her soft ones.

It was slow and nothing more, allowing you to taste the strawberry lip gloss she'd put on, the one she knew was your favourite, just happy to be with each other after rarely being able to see each other. You smiled into the kiss as she pushed herself more into you.

With the need of oxygen, you both pulled away from each other, her eyes hazy while yours were similar, her cheeks being pinker than usual and you certainly felt your own burning up.

"Feeling better?" She bit her lip before leaning in to brush her nose against yours before whispering three words that made you grin in delight,

"With you? Always."

she was your childhood best friend, your unspoken platonic soulmate. nothing could come between you. you were her crush of nearly 4 years, her forbidden love. this could possibly get between you.

growing up together as best friends with yunjin, you always had a stable support system. and so did she. your moms were best friends since their own freshman year so it was inevitable you two would be together.

growing up together, you witnessed eachothers highest ups and lowest downs. helping eachother through breakups, holding eachothers hair back during a nasty hangover, you always had eachothers back.

though, it was sort've hard for yunjin. it was hard seeing you get heartbroken by others who couldn't seem to treat you right. but why wouldn't it? your her best friend, and she feels for you.

but it's.. different for her. the tightness in her heart is different.

growing up together, yunjin saw you get thrown around by significant others like it was nothing. and you sure treated it like it was nothing. she reported every single red flag she saw in someone to you, yet you always had a bullshit excuse for it, and with time, yunjin finds it harder and harder.

the tightness grew harder as she found out your girlfriend of nearly a year cheated on for for half of the relationship, and yunjin had to see you pretend everything was okay despite your glassy eyes.

yunjin's heart could finally breathe a bit once she was able to hold you, hand caressing your back. but once she heard you hiccuping and felt a dampness on her shoulder, she tightness returned, and spread to her lungs.

one late night studying had led to her sitting on the floor by the toilet, feeling like she may vomit. yunjin pretended you were right next to her, holding her hair back, as she hovered over the bowl and felt something come up, all she saw when she opened her tearful eyes was a pretty red rose floating in the water.

something within her told her there'd be many more to come.

note : hnnn i dont know what i was rly doing w this i just wanted to take a shot at angst since i usually dont write it.... maybe ill make a part two (whether the ending will be good or not is undecided)

THINKING BOUT YOU! A HUH YUNJIN FF

Warnings: my humor, might be suggestive and by suggestive I mean VERY LITTLE since I don’t do nsfw!! Also angst towards the end of the series.

Genre: comedy, fluff, suggestive, but again very little!!! Angst

Synopsis: Yunjin tries to act tough when reflecting back on a past relationship, but ultimately still has strong feelings for her ex-lover, and wonders if they have been able to move on or feel the same way she does.

The sun shone just like the time you first met, Yunjin. The girl that came to California and left you.

It was a very hot day. What better way to cool down than with ice cream? I ordered my ice cream then sat back down at one of the tables. The girl a table ahead of me immediately caught my attention. She was stunning, blonde hair up to her white short sleeves. I must’ve been staring for too long cause the girl looked directly at me, eye contact and all. What the fuck oh my lord I want a fat bus to crush my face right now. I want a whole pack of people to jump me, any way to make me disappear from this awkward situation was alright with me. Surprisingly, she walked up towards me and sat right next to me. I froze. Eyes wide open as I stared at her. Watching her every move. “A bit bold of you to stare at strangers y’know?have some class!” She said jokingly as she folded her arms. “I’m sorry my eyes just follow pretty girls! Specifically you.” I said as I did finger guns. Lame. Oh my goodness that was lame. She giggled. “You’re very nerdy, in a good way.” She said, smiling at me. Waiting for my response. Love you!” She said as she practically ran out of the ice cream shop. Did she just say she loved me? I just made friends with a absolute weirdo! I said as I laughed,waiting for her to leave so we wouldn’t awkwardly go in the same direction and have to say bye 3828282 times.

It was another Friday night spent with your best friend Ryujin. “Im so bored!” You exclaimed. Catching the attention of Ryujin. You jumped up from your bed excited, “Bro, lets go on Omegle!” You said, already getting your laptop. Ryujin looked at you like you were crazy. “Now why would I wanna see old man dick? If I wanted to see it so badly I would go on po-” Ryujin was caught off by the loud thunder, making the lights flicker. The room turned silent. Too silent. “WE’RE ALL GONNA FUCKING DIE!” You said jokingly, hoping to break the silence. You received a giggle from Ryujin. You motioned to Ryujin to sit by you on the bed.

5 minute time skip 😋

You and ryujin grew bored by the second. “Doing nothing was better than this.” You said, rolling your eyes. “Hey” you heard a pretty voice, which immediately caught you and Ryujin’s attention. “Hi!” You said, grinning and waving at the sight of the pretty girl.

Yunjin’s POV

I smiled a sigh of relief, finally something better than old man dick. I gave the 2 girls a quick and short, “Hey.” But when they started talking I couldn’t hear them. Crap. I pointed at my ears, holding up a X hand signal shortly after, hoping they would understand. The girls both gave me a “🤨” face. I wrote down on the chat box that I couldn’t hear them. My dumbass should’ve thought of that earlier. However, as we were trying to communicate, a pretty girl caught my attention, she looked shy, I mean the only thing she ever did to me was a wave while the other girl gave more of a effort to talk to me. Of course I couldn’t hear anything they were saying but it’s the thought that counts. Right?I asked what there name’s were, they said “Ryujin and Y/N” What a pretty name, I thought to myself, I told them my name was Jennifer, just to keep it safe.

Your POV

I’m not usually a shy person but, this “Jennifer” girl is so pretty! Her smile is enough to save a orphanage, and that’s powerful! Right? I NEED to talk to her. I took the laptop from Ryujin and just as I was about to talk, the laptop turned off. “Shit!” I said out loud. The rain became heavier as the electricity turned off. Ryujin started laughing. “What’s so funny?” I said, crossing my arms. “Why are you so pressed over someone you didn’t even talk to?” Ryujin said still laughing. I didn’t know myself. “She’s so pretty! She could be my wife!” I said. “What do you mean, Y/N?” Ryujin said with a more serious tone.

“like crazy by jimin.” its my 3rd favourite song right now, like i like it so much that i wrote a fic inspired it, a quote for this song was my description. the “the moon embraces you.” part in korean is my favourite part in the song.

“blue flames by le sserafim.” its so retro and fun love it so so much. the “that that is faction.” part is literally my description right now its so cute the only part i don’t like is kazuha’s part at the end but other than that this song is certified bop.

“knock by chaeyeon.” it’s so cute. the pre chorus is so pretty. i’m just loving it so much. literally just because of this song she’s become my favourite soloist, can’t wait for her new comeback.

ADMIRING YOU ! — CHAPTER 09

9. study session (written + smau)

WRITTEN PART - word count: 0.7k

there you were, waiting for jungwon while standing in front of a cafe. you never knew where the courage came from, you just asked if he would like to study together. would you consider this as a date? maybe.

as you were scrolling through your insta feed on your phone, you receive a text message.

“look up :)”

You glance up immediately and saw the boy coming your way. Despite wearing a mask, you could still make out the crescent shape of his eyes. You couldn't help but get a warm sensation inside. Was it just that you'd never talked with any guys outside Beomgyu, Hyunjae, and Jake from Twitter that made you anxious? possibly. However, you thought that you couldn't have a crush on someone you just met a week ago.

You two were simply awkwardly giggling while standing there, acting like a newly dating couple.

“Let's enter, will we?” jungwon gently said. You smiled a little and nodded.

You two entered after he let you in by opening the door. Given that there wouldn't be many people there, you two decided to visit the library. You two chose to sit close to one another. You guys helped each other with problems and might have giggled a little too much during this working session.

you decided to take a quick break and ended up looking and jungwon. You grinned at him as you rested your head on your arm. you found him cute while he was concentrating and might have stared at him a little too long. His ears turned red, and you watched him abruptly clear his throat. You swiftly averted your eyes from him and began reading the study guide. You had the sensation that your heart was going to burst. Hopefully he wouldnt distract you from studying again.

THIRD PERSON POV

as jungwon was having difficulty solving this math problem, he felt something heavy on his shoulder. he quickly glanced over and saw yn, sleeping soundly.

“she must have been tired” jungwon thought to himself.

he grabs his jacket quietly and tries covering yn with it, trying to not wake her up. he moves parts of her hair away from her face while staring at her. how can someone be this perfect? jungwon stared at yn for a while. he gave a bitter sweet smile.

he wished he wouldve gathered the confidence to confess to yn but he couldn’t. He was too scared for the outcome. He feared rejection, particularly from someone he had liked for a long time. He worries that if he confesses, she will go and they will once more be strangers.

“Wait for me a little longer, yn; when I'm ready, I'll confess to you. Even though it will pain me, I'll just have to go on if you reject me.” jungwon whispered. he continued working until he fell asleep too.

BACK TO YOUR POV

After falling asleep on jungwon's shoulder, you got up. As you rapidly sat up, you questioned where the hell you were. You saw jungwon lying quietly against the wall. You gave him a gentle shake because it was getting fairly late.

You muttered, "jungwon, it's time to leave."

He rubbed his eyes while humming. You guys decided to take a pleasant walk home after hastily packing your belongings. Along the way, you two had a pleasant talk, and there were lots of laughs as you made your way home. You guys eventually made it to the front of your house.

"Jungwon, thank you for today; I appreciate it. Oh, and I want to thank you for letting me sleep on your shoulder” You smiled and added, "I hope we can spend more time together.”

“no problem yn! um i really enjoyed being with you! we had such nice conversations and um thank you for helping me with those math problems-“ he quickly paused, “oh im talking too much now am i? oops, bad habits of mines..” jungwon said quietly while scratching his head.

you chuckled. “jungwon its okay; i really enjoy listening to you anyways. you should head home now! see you tomorrow wonie :)”

You sprinted to your window as soon as you entered your home. He was standing there frozen until all of a sudden, he began jumping with delight. You chuckled as you watched him eagerly hurry home.

is this love? no way, it can’t be—right?
