"I wish we could go back to the way things were before.”

“I don’t.”

The two word confession had Lucy mouth opening and closing as though she was a fish underwater but only for a few seconds. She had been talking for the past hour about anything, nothing and everything that could lie in-between as the silence that filled the room became too much to bear. So of course as luck would have it, that particular statement was the one that had him finally providing some sort of input.

She pushed the report in her lap to the side as she stood, moving closer towards his bedside.

"You don’t?" Lucy rasped as the corners of her lips began to turn upward. She could have cried at the sound of his voice. She could have cried upon gazing into his stormy blue eyes. But she didn't. Because truth be told, she didn't have the energy to.

It had been two days since the call had been transferred to the 911 call center of Mid-Wilshire. A newer pick-up truck had been struck by a utility vehicle in an intersection but the accident wasn't the reason for the call…

'They're pulling a guy from the truck.

He's not moving.

They just put him in a van!'

The paper cup in Lucy’s hand fell towards the ground as the audio clip echoed throughout the room, leaving the remnants of her chai tea latte to splash against her polished boots and onto her ironed pants.

It wasn’t him. It couldn’t be him.

A promising thought had crossed her mind, maybe she could turn her head right now and find her former training officer, former partner, and current something more to be making his way across the bullpen with a teasing grin directed towards her. But in the end, she knew she was only playing herself. The truth could be seen in various forms after all, each of which were as crystal clear as the morning sky outside.

Tim Bradford had been abducted.

An eerie silence washed over the room, leaving the muted sounds of the bullpen to filter into the room as less than subtle looks by her coworkers were given. But Lucy didn’t care, she imagines the way she is feeling is not much different than how Tim must have felt during her own abduction, just with a few more added emotions.

It was by some miracle and a loose end on Rosalind’s part, that Lucy and the Mid-Wilshire crew manage to find him in the dead of night a few hours ago. Tim was found beaten, battered, and bruised but importantly, alive. Which was more than what Lucy could say about Rosalind Dyer who was on her way to the county morgue.

May the bitch rot in hell.

But none of what had transpired mattered right now.

It was probably the drugs coursing its way through Tim's system that had him in a relaxed state but Lucy could tell that there was still a part of that procedural side of him, turned on. She knows exactly how hard it was to turn that part of your training off, not knowing whether to fight or flight as your body comes down from the adrenaline rush, your safety net falling back into place.

She watches as he calculates the entryways and exits of the room. One door over Lucy’s shoulder, another at the foot of the bed with a single pane window off to his left.

Lucy takes it upon herself to make sure that he is comfortable as she pulls the hospital blanket that had fallen to his waist, up towards his chest.

"I don't want to go back to what we were before Lucy." It was a large feat when words failed her. But the declaration leads her to believe he's been awake longer than she had suspected. “How long have I been out?”

Mindful of his injuries, Lucy placed a hand on the center of his chest. His heartbeat was rhythmic and consistent thumping beneath her palm to match the sound that echoed throughout the room.

“A few hours. They had to order a light sedative." A ragged sigh fell past Tim’s lips as his head fell against the mattress behind him. She knew exactly how he felt, knew exactly where his frame of mind was, knew that he wouldn't want to talk in detail about the elephant in the room.

"Angela had a few things to take care of, but she said she would stop by later with a change of clothes and Kojo is at my apartment. Tamara sent me a picture of him sleeping in her bed last night, it was the cutest thing."

"He's not supposed to be on the furniture." Tim grumbled as Lucy rolled her eyes. Though, the soft grin on her face betrayed her reaction. "This coming from the man who feeds our dog salmon with eggs for breakfast and bribes him with steak to go on walks."

"It's healthy, Lucy."

"He's spoiled, Tim."

Tim scoffed. "I'm not the one who has him subscribed to four different dog boxes."

"Three." Three monthly dog box subscriptions was not spoiled, at most it was mild pampering. "It's three boxes. You're the one who pays for the fourth."

The grin Tim gave her was soft, maybe even a little exhausted or relaxed from the medication still running its course but the upturn of the corners was not forced in any way, a fact that had a weight upon her shoulders dissipating.

"You know he may be spoiled, but the boy is pretty good at giving comfort when needed."

"I'm sure he is."

Lucy doesn’t know what possessed her to do so, but she pulled her hand away from his chest to take his hand into hers, her thumb gently stroking the irritated and chafed skin of his wrist. There was a pain in her chest, behind her sternum as her gaze roamed over his form.

The hospital staff downstairs had told her that it was a miracle he was still conscious, let alone alive. When they found him, it was hard not to notice the discolored splotches from the abrasions and the multitude of lacerations that covered his ashen skin. But what she couldn’t see was the concussion, dislocated shoulder nor the bruising to his spleen, liver, and both of his kidneys. It was only after the emergency room doctor walked away, did Lucy hurry down the artificially lit hallway towards the closest bathroom, emptying what little contents of her stomach she possessed.

"Have you been here all night?"

“Of course.”

Tim rolled his eyes as he pulled his hand out of her hold. Immediately she found herself yearning for the warmth. “You need to sleep.”

“I will.” As if on cue, Lucy found herself yawning. She would sleep, just later. And maybe for a few days. A lot had happened over the past three days and she would rather find herself in a dreamless sleep, than experiencing whatever horrors her brain was likely to procure.

Tim gave her an incredulous look and sighed. Ok so maybe she was more than a little tired, something she's sure her face shows.

"Come here."

Lucy's head tilted to the side in bewilderment as she watched Tim grab at his ribs before slowly, carefully, moving his body towards the farthest side of the bed. He couldn't possibly mean…

A small space had been made, a gap no more than eight inches in-between his warm body and the bedside railing in a silent request for her to join him on the bed.

"I don't want-"

His voice was low when he told her, "You're not going to hurt me Lucy." The softness behind his words left no room for her argument.

And so, without another word she kicked off her shoes, climbing onto the bed where Tim welcomed her with an opened arm.

The bed creaked and her movements were slow as she attempted to not jostle the furniture too much. Awkwardly, she moved into the crevice of his arm where after a little more maneuvering, she fit perfectly.

Her cheek pressed against the gown covering his shoulder, the faint smell of his antiseptic dressings filling her nose as she wrapped her arm around his torso.

"I knew you would find me." He whispered against the crown of her head.

Lucy was unable to miss the wince that encompassed his face as the arm that was wrapped around her shoulders pulled her closer.

"You've done the same for me."

And she would always do the same for him.

Thank you so much! <3 Here is a sentence from a Ted Lasso WIP that I'm hopefully posting, like, tonight, if I could stop dicking around on the internet long enough to finish edits! LOL. The story title is "anchor; release." This part is about Michelle visiting Rebecca's house post-canon, the first "she" is Rebecca, and upon reflection I may break this sentence into two (it's been split and rejoined multiple times during this writing process.)

As if to prove her good cheer about the interruption of privacy, she bounded over to the espresso machine and promptly made Michelle a surprisingly good latte, followed by one for herself, the electric kettle abandoned in favor of amicable ex-wife/current partner beverage solidarity, then for Ted and Beard, which she accompanied with a stilted joke about whether she ought to whip some up for Henry and Clare while she was at it (honestly, it humanized Rebecca, knowing she made the occasional dumb joke like the rest of humanity).

One of Pedro's friends Michael Latt was shot and killed in his home. Omg! Pedro is in a picture for Thanksgiving on ML's IG. The post before the last one. How horrible. It seemed to be a random act of violance by a woman he didn't know.

I know, he was his manager Franklin Latt’s brother. 😔 Heartbreaking. And yes, Pedro spent Thanksgiving (or a party after that) with Franklin’s family in Los Angeles and that’s so fucking horrible and sad what happened to Michael just a couple days after those pictures! Unbelievable! I feel so sorry for Franklin, his family, Pedro and all their other friends. 😔😔 🌹

Stone had been working overtime, on Valentine's day no surprise, he didn't have much to do today anyway, so this was simply more of what he could give his doctor today. A small yawn before he got up to go make the doctor his late evening drink, for today he decided on a Red Velvet Latte (and topped it off with a heart with a mustache) he smiled before he went over to Robotnik's office, peeking in to see the doctor swiping away at the screen "Good evening, doctor. Your latte" Stone walked over, placing it down on the table beside him. Robotnik looked over with a raised eyebrow, nodding "Thank you agent" he said before waving him off.

Stone gave a quick nod and smile before returning to his small office, simply checking some emails before he had to pack up. Before he heard a faint "buzzing" and "whirring" coming into his office, he looked up from the screen to see a little badnik fly into the room, holding a little card and... a rose? The badnik flew closer, to his side holding the little offerings. Stone blinked, looking at the card and rose it held and back up into the lens of the little robot. Before smiling and taking them with a small "thank you" placing the rose on his desk before opening the card as the badnik flew away, Stone's smile grew as he looked at the card, it had a simple design, some flowers on the corners, but in the middle read "thank you, agent" in his doctor's handwriting along with a gift card for his favourite restaurant.

💥 ― a memory you wish you’d forget.

Gloves? He was... unsure about them. He didn't hate them. He liked his doctor's gloves! Those were nice. On Robotnik anyway. He doesn't know why anymore. That was so long ago. But rubber gloves were something different. He didn't like them, almost... repulsed by them. He would never wear them, always walk past them, never bother looking at them on the shelves.

It was a reminder. "A reminder that my mother was disgusted by me and never wanted to hold me, would always put these on because she couldn't bear the thought of holding me before they simply put me in that alley and drove away"

A reminder. A silly one at that.

A reminder he wanted to forget. But he couldn't. Of course, it was nothing compared to what others, such as Robotnik, had been through, so why even worry about one little thing. It's nothing. It's pathetic. Obviously, as everyone had told him, it was nothing. He stopped talking about it whenever someone brought it up if he accidentally visibly looked off when someone tried getting him to wear them. Change the topic. Look professional. Just smile, Stone. Put on that perfect assistant attitude. Be what everyone wants you to be.

Just go through your day, like every day. Ignore it, put him first. You know your worth to him, that's all that matters...

🗝 ― a memory you never want to forget.

Seeing his doctor happy was always the highlight of his day. It always was, but when he was in a mood, he knew to keep out of the way, unless he was needed. Or if he could tell the doctor needed him. Right now, the doctor's mood was kind of a mix between him needing Stone and him wanting to keep to himself. Stone could manage. So he brought him his latte, taking a deep breath before he stepped into the room. His doctor faced the floating screens as he typed away, in his own little world, slightly tilting his head as he heard the agent approach before resuming his activities. "Your latte, doctor" A shrug and a nod. Stone simply stood there holding it out as he looked at the doctor's features, eye bags and his hair was more messy than usual... he cleared his throat "would you- like a comb?" he asked with his usual smile as he pulled out a small black plastic comb from his pocket with his free hand, offering it to Robotnik. A pause, before the doctor stopped what he was doing with a sigh, swerving in his seat and looked up at his agent with an annoyed expression. The scientist snatched the comb, quickly brushed down his hair and then looked at the cup Stone still held out, he quietly mumbled something before placing his hand on Stone's "thank you, agent" he mumbled. Stone's eyes lit up when he heard those words come out of his doctor's mouth, a small smile and nod They stayed like that for a few seconds, before he took the cup out of his hand and dismissed his agent.

Of course, doctor. I'll always be here.

No matter what.

🌈 ― a memory you’re not sure actually happened.

Stone had just walked in on one of Robotnik's dancing sessions, as always. His doctor was just lost in his own little world and Stone was happy to see it. He stood off to the side, nodding his head along to the music, he wouldn't tell him what he came here to say- Not yet- Or maybe he already knew, it didn't matter. Stone was just enjoying the moment and before he knew it Robotnik had grabbed his wrist and dragged him over, setting a quick but simple pace his eyes closed as he held his assistant close.

Stone was at a loss of words, as he felt like he was in a dream. Dancing with his doctor! A smile made its way onto his lips as he got lost in the moment, enjoying the music as he followed Robotnik's pattern but just as the song was ending he felt a hand lower on his back and then he slowly dipped him. Robotnik's eyes looked as blank as ever as Stone looked back up at him, the agent was unsure of what to do next, but he just stayed silent, looking back up at his doctor as he held onto his shoulder. The lights in his lab hopefully hiding his heating-up face.

This truly was a dream.

🙊 ― a memory you don’t ever talk about.

The gloves, the gloves his doctor had left him before his disappearance were something Stone would always cherish, much like the other things Stone managed to bring back to the base at the Café- But the gloves were something... Different. He knew his Robotnik wouldn't mind if he used them in his absence, after all, he needed to get things set up for his return. If he even did... But would Stone cherish them with every inch of his soul, he would put them away accordingly in a safe and secure place once he was done in the secret lab and not put them down once he'd get to work. One thing he really enjoyed about his job was designing some new outfits for his doctor, especially with these newer gloves his doctor had left (supposedly on purpose?). Everything came together so perfectly. He stood in front of the screen eyes absorbed by the beauty in front of him, swiping, swiping, swiping. He hadn't taken his eyes off of it for a minute to proud of his work, he hoped his own Robotnik would feel the same once he came back. Stone slightly tilted his head, before a thought came to mind, of all the things he could put the doctor in, what was one he was most curious about seeing him in?... Oh no-

Stone's face turned a slight shade of red before he gave a curious look at the screen. What would his doctor look like in... that? If he indulged in his... Fantasies?- So, Stone got to work, swiping, choosing some beautiful dark grey fabrics, maybe a little white choker and white apron-

Ohfuckohfuckohfuck- Stone immediately swiped his hands to turn off the program, looking away. With wide-open eyes as he slowly started to take off the gloves.

Taking a mental note to never bring that up to himself, ever again.

If I can request, I would like to ask if you could write a aidan or five where their girlfriend has schizophrenia and she has episodes where the voices get out of hand and they hurts her by giving her a very bad headache and she crumbled down on the floor with her back against the wall and she rocks back and forth trying to make the voices stop, and how she tries to make them to stop is by screaming out “stop” “go away” “leave me alone” “shut up” “no” and when the episode stop it’s like she’s emotionless because it takes a lot 9f her and Aidan or five has to help her with everything since it’s like her mind and body has shut down. If you think you can’t do it can you do one where Aidan finds his best friend and crush writing a poem and when he tries to see what it’s about she hides it but one day she left her poem notebook at his house and he looks through it to find most of the poems are about him and he plan out how he’s going to ask her out and he uses lines from her poems that’s he thinks fits her but he put them in a song and he plays it for her in his way to asl her out

Just to name a few of the poems you've made. There are more, obviously, but these were what caught Aidan's eyes. He saw the many hearts you drew below each page with a "For Aidan" with them as well.

He saw how you loved him as much as he did you. He loved you so much he decided to use your poems as a way to confess his long lasting love for you. Days turned to weeks, which turned into months. After a good one to two months, he had finished everything and had a concert planned.

Being the good friend and crush he was to you, he gave you a ticket himself instead of having you buy it. “Awe, thanks Aidan, you didn't need to do that.” you smiled, taking the ticket.

“No worries on it. You will be there, right?”

“I wouldn't miss it for the world.”

The day of the concert, he sang his songs, leaving that one song he wrote for you, for last. An hour or so passed and now it was time for that song. “Hello everyone! This song is dedicated to a special someone of mine!”

He began to sang the song, until the words sounded familiar. Those were the words on your poems. It hit you. He's read your poems.

“I'm in a field of dandelions. Wishing on every one that you'll be mine, mine” he sang out the last part.

The song ended and he started to speak. “[Name]! I love you! Could- could someone please bring her here? Thank you!” You found yourself being brought by concert people on the stage, people cheering here and there.

“[Name], i love you so much. For a long time now. You're my best friend and i don't wanna lose you, but I'm taking the risk. Will you be my girlfriend, [Name]!” he shouts into the mic, his voice echoing around the place.

You stare at him. “I...Aidan..yes! Yes, oh my god! Aidan what? I-” he comes close to you, and puts the mic down. He whispers, “Can i kiss you?”

You nod vigorously, and he does. He kisses you, with gentle loving passion as the crowd whoops and cheers. “My beautiful poet. I love you. And i loved your poems for me. I hope you don't mind that i used them for the song though.”

Laughing out with tears in your eyes, you shooke your head, showing that you didn't mind. “Thank you for those beautiful poems, [Name].”
