He was handsome, but that only made Louis hate him more. Heart thumping heavily against his sternum and his hands balled into fists, Louis lifted his chin defiantly and plastered a coldhearted smirk across his lips. “Because I’m the best goddamn pilot here.”

If Louis thought being in love with his best friend was a knife that continually twisted into his heart before, it was nothing compared to when Harry started to go around talking about having fallen for someone else. Don’t provoke them.

He’d say it aloud, but there’s no chance the other two wolves wouldn’t hear it, no matter how soft. They’ve probably already heard exactly what he and Harry just said, but neither of them show any signs of it.

He’d tell Harry to calm the fuck down, if he could. Well, he could, because he just did, but Harry clearly didn’t hear him. The only wolf capable of reaching Harry now is the one wolf in this room too far gone from them to know what’s going on.

“Well you clearly didn’t run fast enough to get away,” the newcomer growls back at Harry, gaze pointedly dropping to Harry’s lap. “And trespassing into our territory is not ‘safe’.”

Niall’s hand, filled with black fabric, knocks into the man’s stomach, keeping him in place.

“Keep your shirt on, Zayn,” Niall smirks, arching an eyebrow when Zayn rips the fabric from his hand and shoves it over his head. “They’re not going anywhere until we decide what to do with them.”

First names in front of a different pack. They don’t see him and Harry as a threat. They definitely don’t see Louis as one.

It has to stay that way. They can’t find out who Louis is.

Niall closes the distance between them and crouches down, studying each of them one at a time. He lingers on Louis, long enough for a warning snarl to well in the back of Harry’s throat that nearly has Liam flinching. He barely keeps his face straight. 

“So,” Niall starts, “unless I’ve got me wires crossed, you lot are from the Tomlinson pack, aren’t ye.”

I can say with certainty that this work is one of the best I've read and has become one of my favorites 😿 since I started reading it was very easy to portray everything, also the author did an incredible job in capturing the characters’ emotions.

When I was reading I was listening to Religion by Lana del Rey and I think it could be a good soundtrack.
