One more loud banging on the bathroom door and Y/N could already feel her good mood slowly drifting away with every knock. She hasn’t been there for longer than ten minutes; yet Lando was behaving like she had been in there for a lifetime.
“For fuck’s sake, I’m almost finished!”, she shouted, getting back to her skincare routine.
“We’re going to be late!”, he responded from the outside. How dramatic. There was still an hour and a half until they were supposed to be at the grid. They already had their breakfast and Lando was always quick at the shower. But everything was a reason to start a fight between them.
So when she opened the door, Lando was fuming. Y/N pretended that everything was normal and went to get her outfit picked for today, ignoring the stare he had over her. “I can’t believe they didn’t book us two rooms”, he complained.
“Well, darling”, she called sarcastically. “We are supposed to be a couple. And couples don’t sleep in separate rooms”.
Lando ignored it and slammed the door behind him. And just like she expected, he took ten minutes to get ready. Meanwhile, she did a quick makeup and was now finishing a few steps while he dressed up. He wore the usual: McLaren bright orange shirt, black trousers, a cap from his merch collection and all the fancy accessories he loves wearing.
In contrast to his casual clothes for a race weekend, she picked a mini white dress, that definitely was a little more dressed up for the occasion. Totally contrary to his sporty style, but not overdressed for the event. Just enough to make him stop their banter and look her up and down with a smirk on his face.
“Don’t look at me like that”, she groaned, going back to the mirror to put on some lip gloss.
“Like what?”, he giggled, cheeks flushed by getting caught.
“Like I’m a piece of meat”, Y/N turned back to him, but Lando decided to ignore her words.
“You know I hate the taste of this lip gloss”, he commented, taking the tube away from her hands. “I’m going to buy you those minty ones. This one is just rubbish”.
“You’re not required to kiss me at all, Lando. I actually prefer no contact whatsoever with your filthy lips”, she smiled cynically before pulling the lip gloss from his hands. “Are you ready to go or not? You’ve been complaining all morning, but you’re taking forever”.
“Come on, let’s go”.
Today would be the first time Y/N stepped into the paddock as Lando Norris’ girlfriend. They have been out and about for a month now, soft launching on Instagram and popping out in different places all around the world. But today, walking into the race weekend together, would be a way to make it all official.
The response so far has been positive. Lando managed to finish P3 in a race after they popped up together for the first time, and a lot of people connected that with him settling down. Also, people seemed to enjoy them as a couple, considering Y/N is a super sweet celebrity that everyone adored. Them being together only made her popularity rise up so quickly. It was a win for both of them.
This weekend on the media pen, Lando showed up confident for the Miami Grand Prix. He was hopeful to do well at qualifying and have a great race Sunday, just like the previous GP. Then later that night, he was spotted out with Y/N for dinner, finishing their date at a bar, where they made out for hours and were photographed and commented on by everyone on social media. Lando Norris was in love, and it was making a good mark on his career, they all said.
But even with the good response for their relationship, Y/N was nervous about stepping into the paddock for the first time. She knew how many girlfriends of the drivers suffered from backlash from the public, and she feared she might have to go through the same thing. Also, knowing it was all a lie made her very nervous as well. In a few months, there would be a lot of gossip about her life and the reason why they broke up. Was it too late to back off this agreement?
“You okay?”, Lando asked, pulling Y/N out of her thoughts while she glanced out the window. She was being super quiet on their drive to the paddock, enough to make him question the reason. “You haven’t insulted me in ten minutes. Also, you look like you might puke anytime soon”.
“I’m nervous”, she admitted as she picked on her nails to keep herself distracted. “I mean, now I’m not sure this arrangement was a good idea for us. When it’s time for us to break up, there’s going to be so much speculation about our lives”.
“Welcome to the fame game”, he laughed sarcastically and showed no sympathy for her feelings. Lando was still pissed about this agreement, especially now that they were spending most of their time together.
The past month hasn’t been the easiest for them to pretend to be a couple. Every outing they had together was accompanied by a huge fight when nobody was looking. It sickened them both to have to pretend to be in love with someone they hated. As she kissed Lando, Y/N was constantly reminded of all the bad things he ever said to her. And on the other way round, Lando felt stupid for having to lie just for the sake of his career. Did he really need a girlfriend to prove he's any good?
Out in plain sight, Lando was a gentleman. He climbed out of the car and then opened the door for her. Y/N took the hand extended to her and laced her fingers with his. Both of their hands were clammy out of nervousness. Today, Norris had two things to worry about: getting a good position on qualifying and what people might think about his new girlfriend. Hopefully, they won't react badly like last time.
“Ready to be the new Mrs Norris?”, he asked sarcastically, as he pulled her under his arm so they would walk together.
“Don't even joke about that”, YIN was about to roll her eyes, but had to force a smile when she saw a few fans standing in front of them.
“Smile, first lady of motorsport”, he whispered in her ear.
"You're not that good to have me considered as first lady", she hissed back, but keep the looks for everyone around them.
Lando let go of her to say hello to some fans. He took pictures with them; signed photos, shirts and caps; and had a nice chat with all of them. Meanwhile, Y/N did the same with the people who recognized her, which was a fair amount. He was the rockstar of the moment, but she shined just as bright as he did.
“Lando, is that your new girlfriend?”, a fan asked while he was focused on perfectly drawing his signature on her cap. He cracked a big smile and nodded.
“Yes. She's pretty, isn't she?”, he looked back at her, and for some reason, she felt her cheeks heating up. Maybe it was the nervousness. Lando Norris would NEVER have the power to make her flustered.
"She is! My boyfriend and I love her show", the fan commented. “You make such a cute couple”.
“Thank you. Would you like a photo with Y/N? I promise she only bites when required”, he smirked, earning a smack on his arm.
“Lando, shut up!”, Y/N called out as she approached them, ready to talk to the fan.
And so they carried on with their parade around the paddock. All smiles and all the photographers and filmmakers attention. It wouldn't be a surprise if their “relationship” is featured on next year's season of Drive to Survive. Hopefully by then, their relationship will just be a story to tell.
By the time they arrived at the McLaren motorhome, Lando let go of her hand to say hello to everyone. As much as she despised him, Y/N was impressed with his politeness with his team. He knew everyone by name and made sure to say hello to every single person he crossed. Also, to keep up with the looks, he introduced his "girlfriend" to everyone. The team seemed happy that he had found someone to take care of him. It hurt Y/N a little to be lying to all of them, because everyone seemed so nice. Even the people who knew it was all an act treated her nicely.
“Are you enjoying being a WAG?”, her PR agent asked, trying hard not to laugh at the face Y/N was making.
“I think I might puke”, she admitted, making her agent not resist cracking a laugh.
“You know, he's not as bad as you think he is. You might have started on the wrong foot, but Lando is a nice guy”.
“Well, that's the problem with him. He's nice to everyone but me”.
The rest of the day was one of the best acts of Y/N's life. Lando dragged her up and down the paddock, showing everything she needed to see. She had been to races before, but was never shown around by someone who actually understands everything. So if she thought it would be a boring day, she was fairly wrong. Also, being able to keep up with the good looks and not fight was the nicest part of the whole experience.
Was that how it feels to date Lando Norris? Getting to know the awesome world of motorsports, laughing at his dumb jokes, having kisses pressed to her cheeks, collarbone, tip of the nose and lips now and then. Feeling like an absolute princess, as she had the best time meeting new people. It was too good to be true. Dating him would never be that nice. In the end, that was all an act, and Y/N knew that very well.
Eventually, he retreated to get prepared for the free practice before qualifying. Y/N took that as some time to get something to eat and drink. With that, she ran into Oscar's girlfriend, Lily. They have met once at an event, but Y/N wasn't involved with Lando yet. And as nice as she has always been, she approached for a proper chat as the boys had fun with their cars.
“I have to say, I never would've thought you and Lan would end up together”, Lily said. “But I get it. Lando has that glimmer in his eyes every time he looks at you”.
“Does he?”, Y/N sounded more ironic than she wanted. Was Lily lying to her face just like that?
“Well, of course! His eyes scream how much he admires you”.
Soon the conversation changed to a different subject, and you got to enjoy watching free practice while talking about life, sipping on champagne and bonding. By the end of the session, they had exchanged numbers and were now friends. Y/N felt terrible as she lied to her. Lily was too sweet for the truth.
When practice ended, Lando climbed out of the car and went straight to Y/N, stealing a big kiss from her. Confused by the action, she only came to her senses when she noticed the camera behind him. All for them.
“Enjoyed the view, baby?”, Lando asked, hand still secure on her waist.
“Yes, it was very nice”, she admitted, the nickname sickening on her throat. “Lily kept me company”.
“Papaya queens cheering for the papaya kings”, he joked, pulling her for a brief kiss before going to talk to his team post session.
Y/N knew it was all an act, but she was enjoying being around that Lando. The easygoing, always smiley and nice to everyone Lando Norris; not the absolute drunk dickhead she met a year ago. Also, not fighting with him is always a win. Even being alone with him in the driver's room didn't feel insufferable.
Lando was lying in his tiny bed with his eyes closed, trying to rest until qualifying. Y/N was keeping up with a few tweets about her presence in the paddock, feeling relieved with the good amount of nice comments on social media. The scariest part of this fake relationship was finally over.
“They like us together”, she broke the silence, making Lando open his eyes. “I guess there will be no hate for us”.
“Thank God! At least we won't have to deal with negativity this weekend”.
YIN didn't recognize that Lando. He had never treated her as an ordinary person. No snarky comment or insults. It was just him being an ordinary person. Maybe the good mood helped a lot. After all, later that day, he qualified P2 and would be starting on the front now on Sunday. Everything was working in his favour, and the way he was treating Y/N was a consequence of that.
When the next day arrived, they repeated every action from Saturday on the paddock; walking hand in hand, talking to fans and smiling for the cameras. Y/N also had an even better time by seeing some familiar faces that Sunday. Being in the Miami Grand Prix made everything easier, since a lot of Hollywood celebrities came to see the US race.
Lando's good mood carried on with him throughout the day. Anyone could just see his passion for the sport in his eyes. Sometimes, Y/N thinks that the way he acts with her on the paddock is a reflection of his love for his job. So him being in a good mood and treating her right brought mixed feelings to her chest. It was almost scary how comfortable it was to be around him this weekend, or how her heart softened every time she saw him just doing his job.
“I was thinking that maybe we could put on a show before you go in the car”, Lando suggested as he got ready for the race in his room. “Like a good luck kiss and a hug, maybe”.
“Yeah, that would be cool. The internet would love it”.
“And I also never had anyone do that for me, So I think it would be nice to know how it feels like”, he shrugged with a smug smile on his face.
God, she wanted to punch herself in the face because of all the mixed feelings on her chest. “So you never had someone giving you a good luck kiss before a race?”
“Never”, he admitted.
“I'll be honoured to be your first, Norris”.
And that's exactly what she did. When the time came, Y/N helped Lando close his suit and held his face between her hands. They didn't even look around for cameras, making sure it was all registered for their stunt. She just pressed her lips to his in a sweet kiss and smiled when he pulled away.
“Good luck, Lando”, she wished him, earning a beautiful and genuine smile from him. It was quite literally the first time Lando truly smiled at her.
“Thank you, Y/N”, he kissed her again before pulling her from a hug.
For a second, both of them forgot about their little agreement. Lando pulled her for a hug because he felt like he needed that power up before jumping into the car. Then, if the hug wasn't so confusing, he slipped a headphone into her ears and showed her a spot from where she could watch the race. She didn't know if it was for the stunt, but Lando pressed another kiss to her forehead and went into the car. Little did she know he did that out of impulse, not because they should pretend to be in love.
Lando only noticed the camera once he was in the cockpit. Y/N was left shaken by his actions in the back, with her mind anywhere else but at the McLaren garage. She was only pulled back from her thoughts when Lily sat next to her and put a hand on her knee, offering her some company for the race.
And what a race that was. Both Lando and Oscar were flying on the track, with an excellent pace and a chance for a double podium for the team. Norris had his P2 secured through almost all the laps, until the weather changed, and a sudden rain made him lose control of his car. His McLaren spun around, hit the wall and was immediately retired, keeping him from finishing the race.
It wasn't a bad, concerning crash; but it was definitely frustrating. After a quick stop at the medical centre, Lando came straight back to the McLaren motorhome, where he locked himself in his room. "I don't want anyone here, please", he mumbled to Zak Brown before closing the door. If it was frustrating for the team, it was even more frustrating for the driver. A really great weekend down the drain, all because of some rain.
"He won't talk to anyone", Zak said. “I knocked and tried thrice”.
All the eyes at the garage turned to Y/N, his ‘girlfriend’, who didn't think twice before speaking. “I'll talk to him”, she said, promptly getting off her seat.
She didn't knock before entering the room. Lando was sitting on his couch, hugging his legs, face hidden behind his arms. He wasn't a loud crier, but she could definitely see him sobbing. When he noticed a presence in the room, he looked up to tell them off, knowing it was probably Zak. He was taken aback when he saw Y/N by the door.
Her heart crushed at the sight. The tears streaming down his face, the lifeless eyes, the semblance of someone who has been defeated. That wasn't the happy and full of life F1 driver she had the opportunity to meet that weekend. What Y/N felt at the sight of Lando was too strong.
“Please, Y/N, now's not the time for a stunt”, he started, but she cut him off.
“Are you okay?”, she dared to ask, making Lando surprised with the question. And for some reason, he decided to be honest with her.
"No", he whipped a few tears from his face and snorted.
“I'm so sorry about the crash“, she dared to approach Lando and sit next to him on the couch. “You didn't deserve how it ended. You were doing so good”.
“Well, it doesn't matter now. It's clear that I'm a shitty driver, who's been having a shitty year because I can't properly do my job”.
The truth is that, deep down, what frustrated him the most was that he was finally proving everyone wrong. Proving he could get results and that he's a driver who belongs to stand on top of podiums. He didn't need anything else than results to prove that. And when he was finally getting there, the rain washed it down.
"Don't say that, Lando", she scolded him. “I know I'm not exactly friends and that I'm probably the last person you want to see now, but you're such an amazing driver. I got to see it all with my own eyes this weekend”.
“Liar”, he mumbled, face going back to its hidden place between his legs. “It hurts. It hurts that I can't win a race. It hurts that the team doesn't trust my reputation and is asking me to lie. Everything fucking hurts”.
Probably, Y/N is the last person he should be talking about this subject. But weirdly, it was too comfortable to blurt it all out with her. She understood him, and for some reason, even after all the hatred they felt for each other, she wanted to comfort him.
“I'm not lying, Lando. I know you don't trust my words, but I'm telling you the truth”, she said, resting a hand on his shoulder. And before she could continue with the speech, Lando wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her neck. Surprised with the action, Y/N rolled her fingers through his curls and let him cry as much as he wanted.
Frozen and taken aback by their position, she remained quiet as he continued sobbing on her shoulder. Maybe it was all he needed; a shoulder to cry on and some steam to let go off. What she wasn't expecting was what he said next.
“Talk to me, Y/N”, he asked, his voice bargained on his throat.
“What do you want to talk about?” She asked.
“Anything. Just… talk to me. Get me distracted”.
Lando wouldn't admit it ever, but her voice was calming him down from everything he went through. Her smell was keeping him grounded, and her touch was slowing down the heart on his chest. At that moment, he didn't care about the reason why she was making him feel that way. He just wanted to feel better.
“It was so nice to see you working today”, she admitted, making Lando’s heart skip a beat. “You can just see it in your eyes how much you love this sport, and how much you work to make sure you accomplish your dreams. Makes me feel really close to you, because I want the same things”.
Y/N was speaking from the heart. Without giving much thought into her words, she simply said what was on her heart. And it worked, because Lando had stopped crying. She could feel his fingers squeezing tightly around her waist, making her continue her speech.
“You did so good this weekend. P2 in qualifying and P2 through the entire race. Tell me about an impressive performance”, Lando looked up, now with a small smile on his face.
“I was really good, wasn't I?”, his thumbs were still drawing circles on her waist.
“You were! I was very impressed. The rain was just a big unfortunate”, She admitted. “So don’t let this unfortunate event, that wasn’t even your fault, make you feel sad about today. You don’t deserve this after such an amazing drive”.
“You’re right”, he leaned back and cleaned off the tears that were falling down. “But shit, this is so hard. I feel like an idiot. I could’ve finished that perfectly”.
“I know it’s frustrating, but you can look at it on the bright side”, Y/N sat next to him and rested one hand on his knee. “You're well, and alive. And you proved that, with a good car, you can do spectacular things”.
“You think so?”, his eyes were gleaming, like he adored her, and she smiled at him as she nodded.
“You’re a great driver, Lando. Don’t let those tiny bad things get to you”, Y/N rubbed her thumbs on his cheeks and whipped the few stubborn tears that still dared to fall. He smiled weakly before resting his head on her chest again.
It was strange to be close to each other like that. And it was even stranger how comfortable they felt with each other. But they let it be, because it was finally nice to be in each other’s presence.
“Come on, let's go back to the hotel”, she tapped his shoulder twice, making him get off her. Lando accepted the offer, too tired to talk to the media or his team, and took that as a getaway.
Y/N talked to Zak and he understood that Lando needed some rest, scheduling the debrief with Lando for the next day, when they would take a plane together back to the UK. Now free to go back to the hotel, Lando took Y/N's hand and they quickly sneaked out the paddock with the help of security.
They went back to their hotel room quietly, too scared that a single word would ruin the nice interaction they just had. Y/N had Lando into the shower the second they arrived and promptly ordered them burgers for dinner.
“You're a lifesaver”, he opened a tired smile and found a spot next to her in bed.
“This will make you feel better”, she patted his knee and got comfortable on her spot.
They ate in silence, as the sound of TV filled the room. But it wasn't uncomfortable. For the first time ever, they didn't want to jump on each other's throat. And somehow, just being in each other's presence made their hearts feel lighter.
The comedy show went on through the night, even when they found their spot in bed. Lando ignored the second bed in their room and found himself getting cosy next to Y/N. He didn't know what had got into him - maybe the crash left him needy - but he pulled her close and caged her between his arms and legs. He fell asleep tangled with her, thinking that the way his heart was racing on his chest was a problem for tomorrow's Lando.

Max Verstappen
Tumblr media
Everyone, people who weren’t even in Max’s close proximity, knew that he was impulsive and a little reckless. With you, on the contrary, Max was usually a think first, act later kind of a lover. That wasn’t to say that when arguments happened, they were a pretty sight to look at.
It was a single thing that you said which suddenly turned into a huge blown out argument, leaving your head throbbing as Max continued to vent his frustrations about unrelated issues.
"You're so hot-headed, you can't even have a normal conversation without blowing up."
"Attacking me now, are you?" Max retorted, his tone defensive.
He was quick to bite back and the ball in your throat made it scratch-y to talk. You were sure that your eyes were welling up with tears but he was too far away to see it.
"I'm just stating the truth.” You started after taking a shuddering breath. “Every time we talk, it turns into a fight because you can't control your temper."
"Well, maybe if you didn't push all my buttons, we wouldn't be here."
He was talking in the same decibel at least and for a second you had hope that everything would be better. Then his words registered and the hope vanished as well.
"I'm not the one who flies off the handle at the slightest provocation!"
You had to stop and take another breath, otherwise, you were going to start crying and this conversation was inevitably going to get left in between because Max wasn’t an asshole who was okay with his girlfriend crying just because he was angry.
"You know what? I'm sick of your constant criticism."
"And I'm sick of walking on eggshells around you!"
He took a moment to say the next thing. The silence indicating that he was thinking it over first. Max's next words hung in the air, heavy with implication.
"Fine, maybe we should just call it quits then."
The suggestion hit you like a punch to the gut. Was this really that easy for him? He just ripped your heart out and splashed it on the ground. Your chest hurt so much and he was just sitting there? Was he not at all affected by the way you looked close to crying now?
"Fine. Enjoy being single and available," you retorted, your voice trembling with suppressed emotion.
Your boyfriend rolled his eyes looking over at you, indicating how he didn’t really think that you guys were breaking up. Though in your head, this was the last time you were ever going to look into his eyes again.
"You're too sensitive, always getting upset over nothing."
You were already on the edge, not having even processed that you guys almost- probably did break up over you trying to talk something out with him.
“Us breaking up is nothing to you?”
The weight of his words crashed over you, the tears finally spilling down your cheeks. Max's expression softened, regret flashing in his eyes, but it was too late. The damage had been done, and the fragile bond between you felt irreparably shattered.
Lewis Hamilton
Tumblr media
How can one tell if they really are in a good relationship? Is it the security and sense of peace? Is it the frequent love confessions? Honestly, the explanation might differ person to person but one thing you always believed that made a relationship was being level headed even during arguments when emotions were running high
Needless to say, you were very glad you found solace in Lewis. A person who was prone to recognizing the impact of his words. Arguments between you two were rare, and when they did occur, Lewis prioritized finding solutions rather than escalating the conflict. His ability to remain level-headed during disagreements was a cornerstone of your relationship.
Everyone has those days though, when acting out of character seems more suitable than the usual. Moments when emotions override reason.
You were more worked up than usual. Your insides were burning with this desire to get answers because your boyfriend wasn’t there with you on the day you needed him the most.
You drove back home from your conference, dismayed despite it being a very successful session, given that your proposal got accepted as soon as you were done. You just wished your chocolate eyed man was sitting in the crowd looking at you with his signature proud smile.
After a shower, you sat on your couch to watch some show and just move on from the bittersweet day. It was an hour later, when your boyfriend showed up with a bouquet in his hand. Lewis walked over to you and leaned down to kiss your head.
“Congratulations, love," he greeted, oblivious to the storm brewing within you. “Saw it on the news, sorry I couldn’t join you. Got caught up with work.”
Usually, you would have avoided the argument till you felt like you could understand his side too. That was one of the things that helped you guys the most. You both waited to discuss stuff till you knew you were calm and ready to get what the other was saying.
“Aren’t you too busy with work lately?”
He gave a humorous huff in return, not catching on.
“You know how it is once the season starts.”
“You literally got home last night and you had to go in again early in the morning?”
“Missed me?”
He had a playful grin on his face and it killed you to spoil the good mood.
"Of course, after all you're more committed to your cars than you are to me."
The words left your mouth and you were too far gone to be caring about it at this point. Lewis has been such a passionate lover so this sudden shift was hurting you.
“What was that?” he responded, his tone sharp with surprise.
However, you were done and already up to call in early but his words stopped you on our track.
“Wow. You're so insecure, it's exhausting trying to boost your ego all the time."
Tears immediately welled up in your eyes but you didn’t turn around and with a deflated sigh, walked into your bedroom before locking the door while Lewis stood frozen in his place, not believing his own words.
It was like he was in a stance and all he could do was listen to you cry through the closed door on a day when you guys were supposed to be celebrating each other’s wins.
Carlos Sainz
Tumblr media
Carlos was the perfect man. His mature yet easy going demeanor was exactly what you needed in a partner. You hadn't been together for that long to be at the altar but just enough to know that you were going to last.
You understood the demands on Carlos's time, with his career in the spotlight of the racing world when you decided to say yes to a date with him. Carlos was left with very less time away from all the glam, media and the track. Making it precious because of how rare it was.
You mostly accompanied him and let him drag you around to wherever he wanted once he had the break. So imagine your surprise when the only time you made some pretty important plans and he refused to tag alone.
"I can’t believe you’re saying no to this," you protested, frustration bubbling beneath the surface.
“I’m not saying no to anything, Carina.” He kissed your knuckles to un-knot the strong fist you’ve made of them. “I’m just suggesting we do it some other time.”
"But this is the third time, Carlos!" You stood up, unable to contain your hurt and disappointment. “Sorry if meeting my parents is such a chore for you.”
“You’re putting words in my mouth now.” Carlos responded with a sigh, attempting to pull you into a hug, which you reluctantly accepted. “It's not about it being a chore. You know I'd do anything for you, Y/N."
"I do know that, but actions speak louder than words, Carlos. My family is important to me."
“I promise that I want to meet them. I do. It's just… the timing."
"I don't want promises, Carlos. I want actions. If you can't even make it to meet my parents, what does that say about our future?" You insisted with a heavy heart, putting distance between you two.
"You're blowing this out of proportion, Y/N." Carlos countered, frustration evident in his voice.
"Out of proportion? I just wanted you to meet my family, and you can't even do that!"
“Well, I don’t have time to waste on this! If you want to go, just go alone!” His words hung in the air, a sharp pang of hurt piercing through you.
You immediately took a step back and saw him do the same. Both of you standing there as the silence stretched, contemplating in silence what exactly the next course of action was going to be.
“Y/N, I…” He trailed off as you glared at your foot, trying to hold the tears in before one eventually slipped and fell down your cheek.
“Baby, no! Don’t cry!” He panicked about extending his hand, about to touch you but you flinched away and shook your head.
“Carlos, if you think I’ll just ignore what you said ten seconds ago then you’re very wrong.” You whispered, your voice thick and husky.
Guess you were the only one from you both expecting this relationship to last. A second later, you were clutching your bag in your hand and walking towards the exit, speaking up before Carlos could beg you once again to ‘sit and talk it out.’
“Don’t,” you interrupted, your voice barely a whisper. “Thanks for letting me know that our time together was time wasted for you.”
You walked out with his heart in your pocket, your own splashed on the floor of your apartment.
Charles Leclerc
Tumblr media
Charles was the love of your life, the very time you saw him smile at you from across the room igniting a spark in you that shaped your future together.
He walked over to you with a pretty girl hanging onto his arm, leaving the impression that they were more than friends. Everyone around you was also convinced at the time that they were dating but Charles bluntly flirting with proved just how different the real life scenario was.
Pippa was just his ‘best friend,’ someone who throws side eyes at you every time you and your boyfriend are in close proximity to her. Despite nearly a year together, her hostility persisted, the woman was a different kind of vicious. Hell bent on draining your energy.
It was physically exhausting being around her with her catty sarcastic tone that Charles always failed to notice. It was just another one of those days and Charles dismissed your concerns as usual, leaving you frustrated.
This time it was pissing you off greatly.
"Doesn't she realize we're together?" You rolled your eyes.
Charles remained silent and that drew your brows together.
“Charles, does she not think we’re serious?”
“I don't think so. She's always been oblivious to these things.”
And honestly? That fucking hurt. It hurt to know that Charles noticed this but was still rather quick to defend her every time.
"But we've been together almost a year?”
"Baby, she just never pays attention.” His arm pulled you closer to his chest. “Or maybe she doesn't want to see it."
"Do you think she has feelings for you?”
There it was, the truth out in the open. As much as it made you want to die to say it out loud and acknowledge it, your body felt lighter while the comforting arm around your waist began to feel heavier.
"I don't know. Maybe?” Charles’ chest heaved with a deep sigh, "It's complicated?"
The heart beating in your chest stopped for a long second because of how unconcerned your boyfriend seemed right now. Was he seriously just going to accept that a person he has shared so much history with wants to steal him from you?
“It’s not that simple, darling. she's been a friend for years.”
“Yeah, well, friends don't act like that. She’s just what? Waiting for the right moment to swoop in and steal you away from me?”
Charles did not like it because the arm was moved away from you in a second and he was sitting a bit straighter now. He looked furious and ready to defend his best friend and all that was running through your head was how he would probably not do the same for you in front of her.
"That's enough, Y/N. You're being paranoid."
"Paranoid? Or realistic? Face it, Charles, you're so blind when it comes to her. It makes me feel so small compared to her!"
Charles, frustrated and defensive, ran a hand through his hair and shot back,"Don't flatter yourself thinking Pippa gives a damn about you or me."
Lando Norris
Tumblr media
No one could deny the magnetic pull Lando had on everyone around him. It was, after all, what drew you to him in the first place. You had your biases but he broke through them all with his shameless at worst and awkward at best flirting.
However, as you stood in a quiet corner to hide from the crowd, you couldn’t find it in yourself to sympathize with Lando. He had brought you to this glamorous social event, flashes of camera and expensive drinks overflowing all around you.
You were extremely excited to accompany your boyfriend especially since he had such an amazing season but throughout the evening, Lando was constantly pulled away by enthusiastic fans and demanding media, leaving you aside feeling like an accessory rather than his partner.
Standing in a quiet corner, you couldn't help but feel a pang of envy as you watched other couples bask in each other's company. You didn’t even know where Lando was at this very second.
Then, suddenly, his arms enveloped you from behind, his lips pressing gently against your head. "I'm sorry, babe. Everyone here just wants a piece of me," he murmured, attempting to console you.
You sighed and tried to calm yourself so you wouldn't explode in front of everyone, "I understand, but I miss spending time with you."
"I promise, I'll make it up to you tonight." Lando winked, keeping the conversation light.
That was all he said before someone from your left approached him again and your safety haven spot under the stairs was crowded with journalists a second later. You rolled your eyes before walking away, with half a mind to grab a cab and leave.
It was on your way back home when your patience finally ran its course as you listened to your boyfriend go on and on about how much of a success the event was.
“Why did you even take me with you?” You interrupted, your tone tinged with hurt and watched as the smile on his face got replaced with a frown.
“What?”
“I mean… you barely clicked two pictures with me and then left me to fetch for myself? You didn’t even come stand with me for more than a minute?”
"Babe, I'm sorry, but this is part of the job."
"I get it, but it doesn't make it easier.” You felt your own body shudder because of how overwhelmed you felt. “You were there talking to everyone but me!”
Lando opened his mouth to say something but you weren’t done yet.
“They were all strangers to me and you didn’t even acknowledge this! I was standing there alone the whole time, watching others and wondering why my boyfriend wasn’t there for me!”
The weight of your words hung heavily in the air, and for a moment, there was silence. You stopped to take a breath and not start crying. Then, Lando spoke, his words struck like a knife to the heart.
“This isn’t… This isn’t about you. Why are you always making it about you?”
Your body froze after that and your mind went blank. You didn’t care that the tears were running out of your eyes or that apologies were falling from his mouth. His own eyes were welling up because he knew.
He knew what he said was unacceptable.
You were so zoned out that as soon as the car stopped, you got out of the car. Thankful to catch the glimpse of yellow among the traffic before you hailed a taxi, the distance between you and Lando growing with each passing moment.
He attempted to hold your arm, his own tears falling down his face. You just wanted to put your point across but with his reaction, you were certain you guys were done for.
I guess I expected a little too much from you, Lando.”
With a heavy heart, you walked away, knowing that sometimes love wasn't enough to mend the fractures in a relationship.

Sick days and Race weekends— LN4
Lando discovers that his girlfriend got sick while he was away for a race and didn't want to worry him. — Lando Norris x f!reader, fluff, comfort, reader has a bad case of the flu, no use of y/n word count: ca. 1.2k
Tumblr media
Ever since you were a kid you'd never been the type of person to get actually sick. Sure, a little cough and runny nose maybe, but nothing ever really drastic. Personally, you were pretty sure your immune system was simply a wonderful combination of good genes and growing up in the countryside.
Your parents had always told you that the fresh air and spending a lot of time outdoors with some exposure to animals had probably played some part in your never being sick as well and developed your immune system in a way people who grew up in urban areas would never have.
But when you moved to London for uni a little later in life, a huge city with tons of traffic, pollution and surprisingly little greenery, you found yourself getting sick more often than when you lived on your parent's farm surrounded by green grass, fields that stretched for miles and lots of animals. However this time you got sick. Runny nose, aching joints, pounding headache, hacking cough, fever that came and went as it pleased... The whole flu package, really.
You'd already started feeling a little off before Lando left for Austin on Wednesday and it had gradually gotten a little worse each day, but by Friday it all just hit like a wrecking ball. But you being you, decided not to say anything much about it and tell your boyfriend it was just a common cold you were dealing with back home.
He'd done so well in Qualifying on Friday and he should really be concentrating on his upcoming race and not his girlfriend's inane complaints from halfway across the globe. You didn't like worrying people. It didn't feel right plaguing someone else with your problems when surely you could somehow find a way to work it out yourself anyway.
But now it was Monday morning and you had curled up on the couch under the heaviest blanket you could find with a half empty tissue box and a giant mug of tea on the coffee table beside you a few hours ago already. You were cold and shivering like leaves in the wind on an icey autumn day like today, even with your hot drink and the warm blanket thrown across your body.
You couldn't have been more miserable. You felt like you were dying. You couldn't go to work, or leave the house because you simply felt awful and weak. So, you decided to just lay down on the couch and wait for Lando to get home.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of waiting for the familiar sound of a key turning in the lock, you perked up a little at the sound coming from the door across the room. Lando stepped inside and shut the door behind him with a soft sigh slipping past his lips, not noticing you.
"Hey... P2!" you croaked weakly and forced a small smile onto your lips when you saw your boyfriend step into your shared flat, suitcase in hand, his coat and shoes still on as well after he just made his way through Heathrow airport and probably (definitely) went through a mini heart attack too when his luggage didn't immediately come out with everything else from the flight, like he always does when you're flying somewhere.
He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he'd actually heard you call out to him. It was the last thing he expected to hear. Reasonable response, you had to concur— after all, you were supposed to be at work. Then he turned to face the couch and saw you laying there, basically drowning under the heavy fabric of your blanket.
"Hey, hey... What's wrong? Why aren't you at work?" he asked in a voice that showed obvious signs of worry as he quickly kicked his shoes off and went over to you, feeling your forehead with his cold palm. "Jesus. You're basically on fire, baby... I thought you just had a normal cough?!"
"Didn't wanna worry you," you chuckled with an innocent smile, but before you knew it, your chuckle turned into yet another harsh cough. According to your mum, you sounded like an elephant with tuberculosis, like she told you over the phone yesterday. Harsh but true comparison, you had to admit.
Lando groaned and shook his head in an exaggerated way. "Yeah but, you should worry me when you get a fever like this!" However his expression softened to one of sympathy as he sat down beside you on the edge of the beige couch, gently stroking your forehead in an attempt to make you feel more at ease.
"Why didn't you tell me you felt this bad when we talked yesterday?" he frowned, some of his soft curls falling onto his forehead.
"You just got P2 and you sounded so happy about that on the phone, so I didn't wanna dampen the mood," you respond with a shrug.
"The only thing you've got me feeling right now is worried, baby. Come on, you can hardly talk without having a coughing fit," he sighed, putting his arm around you and planting a kiss on the crown of your head. "Have you had anything to eat?"
"Not yet," you sniffled softly and shook your head, rubbing the bridge of your nose with your index finger and thumb. It felt like there was someone playing a damn drum solo against the inside of your skull. "Didn't have the energy to make myself anything more than tea. I feel like death..."
"I know, baby, I know..." Lando sighed softly and gently stroked your cheek with his thumb as he stood up and placed his hands on his hips, looking down at you. "I'll make you some toast, okay? But first let's get you to bed... The couch isn't comfortable enough for when my girl needs to rest. It'll give you a stiff neck, sweetheart."
Lando gently looped his arm around your waist and helped you get up from the couch, a soft groan escaping your throat. He held you upright as you slowly walked over to the bedroom where your boyfriend lied you down in bed and pulled the covers over your shivering body, enveloping you in a warm sea of soft bedsheets.
"Alright..." he said with a sympathetic gaze in his hazel eyes and fluffed up your pillow a little, so you could lay down more comfortably. "I'll make you something and I'll bring you your tea in a minute too. Oh and some of that cough syrup we have as well. I know you don't like it, but I don't like it when you sound like you're gonna cough up your lungs any second. Do you want me to make you some soup later too?"
"You can make soup?" you retorted raspily and covered your mouth as another cough slipped past your chapped lips.
"Well... no... But I can make soup from the can?" Lando suggested with a sheepish grin, which caused you to smile a bit as well. It was so nice to have someone who just wanted to help and make you feel better.
"That'd be nice, thank you..." you replied softly and smiled, though you quickly covered your mouth as he leaned down to kiss you. "No! I'll get you sick too!"
"Well, I sure as hell won't let you sleep alone tonight, so whether I kiss you now or have my arm around you for seven hours tonight doesn't really make a big difference, does it?" he chuckled and gently took your hand away from your face to press a chaste kiss against your pale lips.
"Stay with me afterwards?" you hummed softly, not yet pulling away from the tender sensation of his lips on yours and your hand in his.
"I'll stay as long as you want me to," said Lando in response and gently gave your hip a pat. "But first I'll get you something to eat and your tea from the living room, yeah?"

It's just a vase
Kimi Räikkönen x fem!reader
gn is alright too!
Tumblr media
Warnings: blood, sad reader, maybe slight panic attack, mentions of y/n BUT soft Kimi that loves y/n so mutch. And one Google translate
Hurt/Comfort angst and bit of fluff I guess? It's longer than I wanted it to be, but 💁‍♀️
summary: Kimi calmly reassure reader when she drop a glass, gently checking her hands for any injury.
Words: 680
---
It wasn't her fault, it really wasn't. That stupid vase just slipped out of her hands.
That's what she told herself.
And y/n being y/n, clumsy as always didn't mean to destroy it, even if it was by an  accident, she still feels horrible. It's just a stupid glass, nothing that you can repair, but still, she feels horrible.
She doesn't want him to know that she broke his favorite one, the one that she gave him on his birthday, as a present from her.
And what she doesn't want him to know, is that she had accidentally cut herself when she started to clean up the shards.
Y/n told herself that she's gonna clean it up before Kimi comes back. But her hand hurts and is still bleeding. At first it didn't hurt at all and the bleeding wasn't that bad, but the more she tried to help, the more it bled and hurt.
She couldn't do anything more than sit there, lean back against the couch and cry. She felt pathetic, "why i wasn't more careful?" now, fully crying, she didn't heard that Kimi came back from his training.
When he opened the door, he knew something wasn't right, maybe it's because he didn't got his "hey Kimi, you're finally home, I made your favorite" or "we can now watch that new movie you were talking about", no, the only think he heard was soft cries from the next room.
Without a second thought, Kimi storm to the living room of your shared apartment, to find you sitting on the floor crying with bloody hand and about millions of shards next to you. The bood now staining the new carpet she bought last week and how happy she was when they bought it, to their home.
"Hey, hey it's alright, y/n you hear me? It's alright ". Kimi said, calmly reassuring, kneeling in front of her. "Let me see your hand okay? It's alright I promise". He took her hand and examined it, upon seeing the large but not deep cut he knew it wasn't anything serious, but was still careful and conscious of the pain she must be feeling in the moment.
Carefully, he helped y/n stand up and go around the shards. "I'm sorry " was all she was able to say. "It's all right love, there's nothing to be sorry for". He got her shaking form to the bathroom and gently picked her up, to make her sit on the counter. "What happened Lumihiutale?". Kimi said as he started wrapping bandage around her hand, after he disinfected it.
Y/n looked at him, when her cries died after while, but was still shaking and had lump in her throat. "Well I-I was cleaning" she started speaking, voice weak and wobbly "a-and I accidentally dropped the vase and then it s-shattered and tried to clean it, but I had cut myself and it hurt a-and I..." she almost started to cry again, but Kimi had stopped it before she could.
"Hey, hey, look at me, it's alright, it's just a vase, yeah? A vase." He softly said to her. Putting his hands on each side of her head, looking straight to her eyes, his piercing blues looking into hers, kissing her slowly.
"Don't apologize, okay? I'm just glad that you are alright now" he said after he pulled away. Helping her down and making sure she was fine he said "c'mon i will clean it up and then we'll watch some movie, how about that, hm?"
Now when y/n wasn't crying anymore, she turned to him, carefully wrapping both of her hands around his torso and resting her head on his shoulder. Finally feeling better after the mess she accidentally made.
"Thank you Kimi" she whispered as she felt his arms wrapping around her, his left hand holding the back of her head, gently massaging her scalp and his other wrapping around her waist, kissing the top of her head.
"There's nothing to be thanking for Lumihiutale, I love you, alright?"
"Love you too Kimi".

Masterlist
Tumblr media
Everything had been going amazing for the couple. She was starting her PhD in psychology, and Oscar had signed with McLaren for a seat. They were ecstatic for eachother.
They had their own dynamic that worked for them. Spending time together when they could but being patient with the other if things didn't go to plan.
When they started dating, she had requested that her socials and information remain private. She didn't care if people knew they were dating. She just didn't want to deal with the fans and media while she was deep in her studies.
Things between them were great. Oscar tried to keep things as private as he could. It was simple during his formula 2 career when they started dating. There weren’t as many people watching his every step.
His fan base grew exponentially as soon as he signed with McLaren. All the sudden people were everywhere asking for pictures and autographs. All the while, people were asking about his dating life. They were asking questions about her.
When the Australian Grand Prix came around, she made sure she was there to see it. She wanted to support Oscar and his first formula 1 race. It was an exciting moment for him and you wanted to share it together.
The cameras and fans were relentless and ridiculous, in her opinion. Their was never a moment of peace since they wanted to know everything about Oscar and his guest.
After everything was said and done, the fans took nicely to her and Oscar. It was relieving for both of you. It gave the press team less to worry about. Not that either would have cared, but it was nice knowing he wouldn’t had to hear about it in meetings.
School had started picking up the pace. McLaren was struggling this season. It left both of them stressed and longing for each other. She wanted to support him more then what she was but her schedule didn’t allow for it.
Sometimes she would travel with Oscar but didn’t go to the track. It was a small gesture that he appreciated. He didn’t care where she was as long as she was cheering for him.
The fans had taken notice of her lack of attendance. Coming up with their own assumptions about why she wasn’t there. Calling her names that were untrue and hurtful
“Oscar deserves better.”
“Bet she just wants a top driver.”
“Maybe she has other guys when he’s gone.”
It was driving her insane. She knew it shouldn’t get under her skin, but it did. Oscar did deserve someone who could support him full time. Who cheered him on at every race. It was causing her more stress then she could manage.
She decided not to tell Oscar. The idea of burdening him anymore made her feel sick.
~
It was now the British Grand Prix and she had decided to go and support Oscar despite the work that was piling up on her plate. He had gotten new upgrades on his car and she was saying prayers that they worked.
She practically fell over when he finished fourth. Screaming in joy for the Australian who had been working so hard.
It was on their way out that everything seemed to fall apart.
Fans wanted pictures and the cameras were still in his face. He tried to shied the girl beside him from it, pulling into his side while he walked. It was then he heard what they were saying. Heat rising to his face.
“If you’re not going to say something nice then let us through please.” Oscar pushed past everyone and forced his way to their car.
He held her close that night and reassured her that they were spewing lies. This if they were acting like that then they weren’t real fans.
~
Oscar was shocked when she came to the Hungarian Grand Prix. He knew she was stressed about school. He saw the dark circles under her eyes. But she is absolutely determined.
Peoples criticism was getting worse by the day. Oscar had started to catch on since his PR team was now bringing it up but he didn’t want to push her.
It was the end of qualifying. Another success from Oscar. A success she didn’t get to see despite all her best efforts.
The thought of what everyone was saying ran wild in her head. An interaction with a few fans left her devastated. They were saying she was only here now because Oscar is doing well. How she should support him through it all. How he could do better then her. How he deserved more.
She was sobbing now. Her mind screaming insecurities. Her breath uneven and her hands clutching her head as she tried to block out the voices.
Oscar had been looking for her after the press conference. He wanted nothing more then to hold her in his arms and celebrate his achievement. He’d been looking for ten minutes with no sign of her.
He tried calling and texting, but had yet to receive an answer. Worry started to settle in his chest. His efforts now expedited only to run right into Lando.
“Have you seen y/n anywhere?” Oscar asks the Brit.
Lando, however, was out of breath. He had run around trying to find Oscar for a few minutes. “I heard her in your driver room. She sounds awful mate.”
Oscar didn’t waste a second moving in that direction. He felt a bit stupid for not having checked there first.
It didn’t take him long until he was swinging open the door to reveal her curled up on the floor. Her hands over her ears and body shaking.
He crouches down next to her. Slowly so he doesn’t scare her.
Sue didn't notice his presence. She couldn't even see her surroundings. Everything was going dark and she knew she needed to breathe or she would lose consciousness.
She heard faint yelling. "Lando!"
It was Oscar's voice. The sound almost drew her back to reality. But the dark confines of her mind had too much of a grip.
Oscar was ready to go into his own panicked state, but he needed to remain calm. He hears Lando slide into the doorway. His face dropping immediately now that he can actually see her.
Oscar takes her into his arms. Her curled up body was now placed between his legs. Her back against his chest.
She was completely absent. She wanted to protest and understand what was happening, but the fear of letting the voices in made her refrain from doing so.
It was difficult for Oscar to stay calm. He'd never seen her like this. He ran his fingers gently up and down her back. He uses his leg to push hers closer to the ground. Her body is trying to fight his, but the lack of air in her lungs makes it difficult.
Oscar wraps his arms around her now, pulling her further into him. Still trying every tech he knows to soothe her.
Lando came back with water and made his best attempt at coaching him through this.
She still was struggling to breathe, which concerned them both. Her hands gripped her head so hard he could see little spots of crimson in crescent shapes.
"Talk to her, mate. It might help her get out of her head."
Oscar nodded his head at Lando's suggestion. The Brit then ran off again to investigate what happened.
Instead of holding her around her middle, Oscar switched his tactics. Moving his hands to slip underneath hers. The little specks of blood now decorate his fingers.
Her mind was trying to grasp onto anything to bring her back. The thoughts are doing their best to pull her back under. She knows Oscar is there. She tries to ground herself with his touch.
He's repeating his words - a prayer falling from his lips willing her back to him. "I've got you. I'm here. Breathe. You're safe."
She tries to slow her erratic heart. Her body has been dry heaving and coughing from the sheer amount of static.
She finds the feeling in her arms and legs come back, using it to push herself further into Oscar. Then, finally, she can feel the thick cloud that has taken hold of her mind to start to filter through. The end of the tunnel in sight.
Her body practically goes limp. Oscar holds her up and leans her head on his chest. Trying to soothe the female in his lap.
Everything in her body hurts, but her lungs are finally getting some reprieve. She takes in the situation around her. Oscar's comforting touch keeps her present.
Her body stops trembling. Only little hiccups now escape as the tears slow. It hurts Oscar to see her like this. She looks broken and he dosen't know how he didn't catch it sooner.
"I'm sorry" falls from her lips. He just shushs her and continues to stroke her arm. "You deserve better than me."
Oscar is taken aback by her admission. He was too stunned to stop her before she continued on. "Other girls can be there to support you. They aren't as busy with school. They are prettier and can travel with you, and you wouldn't have to worry about them cheating -"
Oscar shifts them around until he can see her face. Her puffy teary eyes shattering him. He holds her face in his hands. “Other girls aren’t you.”
She can’t stop the tears from welling in her eyes again. A flurry of emotions tries to take hold once again.
“Who gave you that idea?”
She shakes her head. Willing him to ask anything else. Panic again rising into her throat as caught wrack her body. She tried to pull away from him. Her body starting to close in on itself again at the memories.
Oscar doesn’t let it happen. Holding her in place firmly yes every one of his touches are gentle and loving. He silently wills Lando to come back faster. His teammate has dealt with anxiety and would know better then him what to do.
“It’s okay, Love. We don’t have to talk about it.” He soothes and reassures her until her body goes lax agains his once again. Put exhaustion takes over and she can’t will herself to stay coherent and conscious any longer.
Oscar is relieved when she falls asleep on him. Her breathing becomes even and her body now relaxes.
Lando reappeared in the doorway ten minutes later; Out of breath and drenched in sweat. “Mate, you’re not gonna like this.”
~
The two boys moved the girl to the small couch and draped her against it gently.
Oscar was trying to hold in his rage. He wanted to storm out of the motor home and unleash his anger on everyone who ever said a word against his girl. The girl he loves. The one he chose and trusts and is ridiculously proud of. Her accomplishments deserve to be praised, not torn down by those who call themselves fans.
Lando had warned him against it. It would be a PR mess and might actually cause her more anxiety. So he bit his tongue and put on the Oscar everyone was used to seeing.
He practically sped through all his media duties. Wanting nothing more then to see that he got her back to the hotel room. Back to a safe environment where she could open up to him.
Oscar was done quickly and back in his room and changed within an hour. The woman asleep on the couch still breathing evenly.
He knew he didn’t need to, but he waited for Lando. The Brit had offered to help him get her back safely and fend off any media who tried to talk to them.
He welcomed the fact that they were distracted. Not caring much as passerby’s gave him weird looks.
~
She woke up in a foreign place. She distinctly remembers being at the track. Regardless, she couldn’t help but sink into the comfort.
Oscar her her shifting around. Gently seating himself next to her on the bed. “How are you feeling?”
“Fine.” She rasped. Her throat both sore and dry from her earlier wailing.
“Please don’t panic-“ he places a hand over hers. “- Lando told me what happened. We’ve both made statements about it and the PR team is doing the rest. Everyone agrees it isn’t right.”
A weight felt like it was being lifted of her chest. “Thank you.”
“Don’t thank me. It’s my job to make sure things like this don’t happen. I love you so much and I hated seeing you like this. I don’t car in anyone else sees it. I see it and I see you. And you want to know what I see?”
She shoot him a quizzical look, curious as to where he’s going with this.
He smiles. The smiles that makes her feel warm. The smile that make heat rise to her face.
“The greatest thing I could have ever asked for.l

Max Verstappen
Tumblr media
Max and you had a pretty healthy work schedule. Thanks to your flexible remote work, you could travel with him and support him in person. But there were times when you were needed back at the home office but despite the distance, Max made sure to keep you in the loop.
From video calls, to texting whenever one was free, to random pictures shared, you were always pretty aware of what the other was doing. So imagine your shock when minutes after hanging up on a call after congratulating him on his win, you failed to get a hold of him before pictures of him started going viral.
But now, all of that seemed like a distant memory as you stared at the damning evidence on your phone. Pictures of Max, smiling and carefree, dancing with another woman in a crowded club, her arms wrapped around him possessively.
Your heart sank as you scrolled through the images, each one a painful reminder of the betrayal you never saw coming. And then, there it was, the blurry photo that confirmed your worst fears - Max and the other woman locked in a passionate kiss.
The world around you seemed to blur as well as tears welled up in your eyes, hot and bitter against your cheeks. Without thinking, you began to dial Max's number, your fingers trembling with a mixture of anger and desperation.
But each call went unanswered, each voicemail left unheard. With each unanswered ring, your heart broke a little more, until you could no longer bear the weight of your pain.
It was an hour later when you were in your bed, crying your eyes out when your phone finally lit up with Max's name, the screen casting a harsh glow in the dimness of your room.
As much as your head told you to hang up and let that be the final answer, you picked it up and whispered a low. ”Hi?” Your voice barely a whisper, choked with emotion.
”Y/N,” Max’s breathy voice came. It was enough to throw you off again and new tears gathered in your eyes.
”Where were you?” The words escaped your lips before you could stop them, raw with hurt and anguish.
”Baby…” Max's voice wavered, and you could hear the weight of his guilt in every syllable. It spoke volumes, you knew what had happened and he knew that. ”I’m so sorry, Y/N.”
Your chest tightened at his words, the pain of his deceit threatening to consume you whole. And then, without warning, a strangled sob escaped your lips, the sound echoing in the silence of the room.
You could hear Max's sharp intake of breath on the other end of the line, a sound that only served to intensify your grief. But you were beyond caring about appearances now, your heart laid bare for him to see.
”I trusted you,” you choked out between sobs, the words a bitter indictment of the love you had once shared. ”Why would you do this to me?”
How could the man that made you feel like the only girl in the world for him do this to you? Did he even love you or was he just a really good actor?
Your voice quivered with pain as you struggled to maintain your composure,”You've broken me in ways I didn't even know were possible.”
Max's voice wavered as he tried to find the right words to express his remorse,”I never meant to hurt you, it was the biggest mistake of my life.”
The life he has made sure he spent with someone not you. His voice cracked further and you realized that he was also crying on the other end. ”I can't bear the thought of not having you in my life.”
There was a long pause, as if Max was searching for the right words to say. But what words could possibly undo the damage that had already been done, the trust that had been shattered beyond repair?
Your words cut through him, echoing the pain he had caused,”Did… did you even love me, Max?”
”Of course, I love you!” He spoke, his voice carrying a sense of hurt. As if questioning the audacity to even ask that and that angered you. It made you so mad because this was on him. He did this.
”I wish I could turn back time and make things right, I’m so sorry, Y/N.” Max's breath hitched as he spoke before you could. The wounds he had inflicted too deep to be healed with a simple apology. ”I never meant to make you doubt my love for you.”
And as you listened to his voice crack with emotion, you knew that there was only one thing left to do. ”I don't even recognize the person I fell in love with anymore.” You whispered with finality, your voice filled with a mixture of sadness and disbelief.
Was this really the man who had promised you a future filled with a family and laughter? The man who just made your heart bleed out?
Max caught on and rushed to get the words out,”Please, Y/N, don't hang up. I need you more than ever, I love y-”
You hung up because how dare he say that after what he did. He called you again and again after that and if you weren’t half dying in your apartment, maybe you could’ve scoffed at how the roles were switched.
However, all you could do was switch off your phone and wonder how the man who once kissed all your scars better, could leave deeper ones in their place. Leaving you to do the work to mend them all alone.
Lewis Hamilton
Tumblr media
It had all started the day you had foolishly decided to set up lunch to have the two most important people in your life, your bestfriend and your boyfriend, meet.
Lewis seemed genuinely enthusiastic about finally meeting the person who had been such a solid support in your life. Little did you anticipate that this innocent gathering would unravel into a scene of deception.
The signs were subtle at first. A quick exchange of numbers, a glance shared behind your back– easy to dismiss as innocent. But why would you look for such signs? When it included your most trusted humans on the planet?
But then came the slips, the accidental mentions of knowing each other's whereabouts better than you did.
”I don't think she'll pick up, she said she had an afternoon meeti-” Lewis caught himself on time before shrugging and ending with a: ”She posted it on her instagram, did you miss it?”
You laughed it off though it irked you. You were just glad that they were close before...
After an especially tiring day, you finally entered your house. Surprised to see the sitting room empty, where Lewis waits for you every time he's home early.
You sighed, instinctively petting Roscoe before moving inside the house. Desperate for a shower and clean clothes to get the day's stench off of you.
So imagine your shock when you walked into your bedroom,to discover Lewis and Rachel entwined in your bed, their bodies exposed and vulnerable. In your bed.
It took a second for you to process it while they both scrambled to get their clothes on. You just stared in disbelief while Rachel cried on the bed under covers and Lewis frantically wore his clothes while saying… something?
You felt like you were underwater for a second because you saw his mouth moving before his words started registering and tears started to pool in your eyes. The pain felt tangible, like a weight pressing down on your chest, as you confronted the unthinkable reality of their infidelity.
”Baby, let me explain. Ple- Please, this isn't what it looks like... I-”
You tore your eyes away from him before looking over at Rachel who was crying because she probably understood exactly what was happening.
You wanted to ask what exactly Lewis thought was going on but decided not to because your throat was closing up. The image of them together was burned into your brain. You just shook your head as tears fell from your eyes before turning around and walking out of the room.
As Lewis desperately jumbled to dress himself, his hands fumbling with buttons and zippers, he pleaded with you, his voice cracking with desperation.
”Y/N, please, you have to listen to me. This isn't what it looks like, I swear,” he implored, his eyes wide with panic as he reached out to touch your arm, but you flinched away as if his touch burned. Feeling disgusted and deceived.
”What do you mean it's not what it looks like?!” you finally managed to choke out, your voice trembling with damage and betrayal. ”I come home to find you two... in our bed, na- naked!”
Lewis's face contorted in anguish, his mind racing for the right words to say, but nothing seemed adequate in the face of your devastation.
”It's... it's a misunderstanding, Y/N, I promise,” he stammered, his voice strained with emotion. ”Rachel and I... we didn't plan for this to happen. It's just... things got out of hand, and we never meant to do you wrong.”
You shook your head in disbelief because you didn’t know what else to do truly, feeling as if the ground had been pulled out from beneath you. ”How could you do this to me, Lewis? I thought you… that you loved me,” your voice turned in a whisper.
All the times he had discussed the future rushed through your mind. He wanted to retire and repeatedly told you how he wanted to marry you. Your hands trembled as you suddenly remembered asking Rachel to be your bridesmaid.
Suddenly, the pressure on your chest got worse.
Lewis's eyes pleaded with you, his voice barely a whisper as he struggled to find the right words. ”I don't know, Y/N. I don't know what came over me. I love you, you have to believe me. Please don't leave, we can work through this together.”
But his words fell on deaf ears as you turned away from him, the pain in your heart too raw to bear. ”I trusted you, Lewis. I trusted both of you,” you whispered, your voice barely audible over the pounding of your heart.
As you moved towards the door, every step heavier than the last, Lewis's voice trembled with desperation, his hands reaching out to grasp yours, pleading for your attention.
”Y/N, please, don't leave,” he begged, his voice cracking with raw emotion. ”I messed up, I know I did, but I love you. Please, let me make it right.”
You paused, the weight of his words pressing down on you like a suffocating blanket. ”How can you say you love me after what you did?” you asked, your voice barely a whisper, thick with pain.
And with that, you turned away, leaving behind the shattered remains of the life you had once shared, the echoes of Lewis's pleas fading into the emptiness of the night. Swearing to never put your trust in anyone else ever again.
Carlos Sainz
Tumblr media
You had sworn off of relationships for so long after your last one that it was honestly a miracle, as your friends and family put it, that you agreed to go out with Carlos. But he was the perfect gentleman to you. The person who gave you hope for a better future. Giving you hope that maybe all the ‘cheesy’ discourse was for you too.
He knew how you were hurt the last time and reassured you about how special you were to him and how you were always enough. Enough for him.
It slowly became a running joke once you guys hit the two year mark. You were finally at a stage where you had a loving partner that you could trust blindly.
So to say that you were blindsided would be an understatement…
Your fingers trembled as you scrolled through Carlos's phone, your heart racing with each new message that appeared on the screen.
You never thought you'd be the type to snoop, but the nagging feeling in the pit of your stomach had become too much to ignore. He was so distant lately and so secretive about his phone, it was slowly killing you.
There it was, undeniable proof staring back at you in blue and white. Messages from an unknown number, filled with suggestive language and promises of secrecy. Your breath got caught in your throat as you read through the damning evidence, your heart sinking with each word.
‘Hey babe, can't wait to see you tonight ;) xoxo’
The message hit you like a punch to the gut, your mind reeling with disbelief. How could Carlos do this to you? You thought you had something special, something worth fighting for. But now, all those hopes and dreams lay shattered at your feet.
You tried to push down the rising tide of emotion, to find some innocent explanation for what you were seeing. But deep down, you knew the truth – Carlos was cheating on you.
When he emerged from the bathroom, you were waiting for him, phone in hand and tears in your eyes. And as you looked into his eyes, you knew that nothing would ever be the same again.
”Carlos,” you whispered, the weight of your words heavy in the air as he stepped into the room, his tousled hair and relaxed demeanor a stark contrast to the turmoil raging inside you.
You weren’t really sure why you weren’t screaming and thrashing things around already. It was like you were frozen on the spot.
”What's wrong?” he asked, concern etched into his features as he took in your tear-streaked face and the phone clutched tightly in your hand. Though, when you looked at him, all you could see was how he was your everything. How you had given him your everything.
And you still weren’t enough.
You struggled to find the words, to articulate the emotions coursing through you. ”I found... I found something on your phone,” you finally managed, your voice trembling with emotion.
Carlos's expression faltered, his eyes flickering with uncertainty as he took a hesitant step closer. ”What do you mean?” he asked, his voice tinged with apprehension.
You took a shaky breath, steeling yourself for the confrontation to come. ”Messages,” you began, your voice barely audible as you held up the phone, displaying the incriminating evidence for him to see. ”From someone... someone you've been seeing behind my back.”
Carlos's eyes widened in shock as he stared at the screen, his hand instinctively reaching out to take the phone from you. ”Y/N, I swear, I can explain,” he stammered, his voice tinged with desperation. Why was he reaching for the phone and not your hand?
But the words fell on deaf ears as the full weight of his betrayal hit you like a ton of bricks. ”Explain?” you echoed, your voice trembling with disbelief. ”How can you even explain this, Carlos? How could you do this to me?”
He reached out to touch you, to offer comfort or reassurance, but you recoiled, the sting of his infidelity too raw and painful to bear. ”I trusted you,” you choked out, tears streaming down your face as you backed away from him. ”How could you-”
Can love like this be lost too? You’ve been on your knees begging the universe to grant you one love that wouldn’t be snatched from you. Thinking all your prayers had been heard only for him to do it too.
Carlos's expression crumbled as he watched you retreat, his own anguish mirroring yours. ”I never meant for this to happen,” he pleaded, his voice thick with emotion. ”Please, Y/N, give me a chance to make things right.”
As Carlos pleaded with you, his words heavy with desperation, you couldn't help but feel a pang of doubt. His promises of love and devotion clashed with the evidence on his phone, leaving you torn between the man you thought you knew and the painful truth staring back at you.
You met his gaze, seeing the desperation etched into his features as he struggled to make you believe him. ”Can you hear me?” he implored, desperation lacing his words. ”You are always enough for me. Please, you have to believe me. I love you more than anything, Y/N.”
His words pulled at your heartstrings, the sincerity in his voice almost convincing you to give him another chance. But deep down, you knew that trust once broken was not easily repaired.
You met his gaze, feeling the weight of his plea bearing down on you. ”I hear you,” you replied softly, nodding through your tears, your voice tinged with sadness. ”But it's not that simple, Carlos. I want to believe you, but...”
Carlos's grip on you tightened, his body pressing against yours as he sought solace in your embrace. ”Please, don't leave,” he whispered, his voice filled with desperation. ”I'll do anything to make this right, to prove to you that you're the only one for me.”
Tears welled in your eyes as you pulled away, the pain of betrayal still raw and agonizing. ”No,” you murmured, your voice barely audible above the sound of your breaking heart. ”You did to us. You made me believe… I'm leaving. This is goodbye.”
With that, you turned and walked away, leaving Carlos standing alone in the wreckage of your brutally murdered relationship.
Charles Leclerc
Tumblr media
You had rushed back home because for the first time in what feels like forever, your boyfriend was back home. Charles was a man of many charms. Despite being with him for so long, he still had you blushing and getting butterflies every time he was around.
He was busy when you got home so you decided to wash up but as you paced back and forth in the living room, your heart racing with anxiety, you didn’t know what to do to figure out what exactly Charles was doing.
Charles had been on the phone for what felt like hours, his voice hushed but urgent as he spoke to someone on the other end of the line. Normally, you wouldn't think much of it, but something about his tone tonight had set off alarm bells in your mind.
You tried to focus on a book, anything to distract yourself from the gnawing feeling of unease in the pit of your stomach. But every word you read seemed to blur together, your mind consumed with worry.
Finally, you couldn't take it anymore. With trembling hands, you set the book aside and made your way to the kitchen, where Charles was still on the phone.
”...I can't risk it tonight,” you heard him say, his tone strained ”She's coming home soon, and I don't want to risk it.”
Your heart skipped a beat at his words. Who was he talking about? And why did he sound so nervous?
Curiosity getting the better of you, you crept closer, straining to hear the other end of the conversation.
”...I know, I know,” Charles continued, his voice growing even more frantic. ”But I can't keep doing this. It's not fair to her, and it's not fair to you.”
Your blood ran cold at his words. What did he mean, ‘not fair to her?’ And who the fuck was he talking to?
Before you could process it all, Charles abruptly ended the call and turned to find you standing in the doorway, your eyes wide with shock and hurt.
”Y/N,” he started, his voice wavering as he took in your expression. ”I... I didn't realize you were there.”
You struggled to find your voice, your mind racing with a thousand questions. ”Who were you talking to, Charles?” you managed to choke out, your voice barely above a whisper.
Charles' eyes flickered with guilt as he shifted uncomfortably under your gaze. ”It's... it's nothing, Y/N,” he stammered, but you could tell he was lying. ”Just a friend.”
But you weren't buying it. Not after what you had just heard. ”A friend?” you repeated, your voice rising with anger and hurt. ”Is that what you call my replacement?”
Charles' face paled at your accusation, his eyes widening in shock. ”Baby, it's not what you think,” he protested, but you could hear the desperation in his voice. He looked so scared, as if he knew he was gonna get caught up into lies.
”Then what is it, Charles?” you demanded, your voice trembling with emotion. ”Enlighten me.”
He hesitated, his gaze flickering away from yours as if unable to meet your eyes. ”It's... it's complicated,” he finally admitted, but his words offered little comfort.
”There's nothing complicated about cheating on someone you claim to love.” You were trying to compose yourself, not show him how deeply his words had cut you but your hands were trembling and your voice was cracking. Face pale and eyes glassy.
Charles winced at your words, his guilt written plainly across his face. ”You’re the only person I love,” he insisted, his voice barely above a whisper. ”It's just... things got out of hand.”
You felt like you had been punched in the gut. How could he stand there and try to justify his betrayal? How could he expect you to forgive him after this? Why the fuck was he the one looking distort?
”I trusted you, Charles,” you choked out, tears welling in your eyes. He shouldn’t be expecting you to treat him as a victim too when he was the one guilty. ”I thought we had something special.”
Charles' expression softened, his eyes brimming with remorse. ”We do, Y/N,” he said, his voice cracking with emotion. ”I love you, more than anything. Please, you have to believe me.”
But love now felt like a distant memory, tarnished by his infidelity. ”How can I believe anything you say after this?” You scoffed bitterly. Angry at yourself for crying in front of the man who has probably been sleeping with someone else for months now.
Charles reached out to you, his hand trembling as he brushed a tear from your cheek. ”I'll do anything to make it up to you, Y/N,” he pleaded, his voice filled with desperation. ”Just give me a chance to prove it.”
You whispered, your voice heavy with resignation,”There are no second chances for cheaters.”
Lando Norris
Tumblr media
Because of multiple torments inflicted by past lovers, you were always resistant to fall head first in any relationship. Hesitant to give your heart knowing recovering was going to be the absolute worst.
Comes in, Lando. The man who broke through all your barriers, took down the walls you put around yourself and had you love struck in a matter of time.
For a moment, everything was amazing. He was the best person you could've asked for. He looked at you as if you put the stars up in the sky.
Who could've thought?
Who could've thought that the same fucking man would have you breaking down at a family event in front of everyone.
The room buzzed with conversation as you sat at the dinner table, trying to ignore the growing tension in the air.
Lando's hand found yours under the table, his thumb tracing soothing circles on your palm. ”Are you okay?” he whispered, concern etched in his voice.
You forced a smile, nodding faintly. ”Yeah, just a bit overwhelmed,” you murmured, hoping to brush off your unease. Why was everyone looking at you with such pity?
But Lando's gaze remained fixed on you, his eyes searching yours for any sign of distress. ”You know you can talk to me, right?” he said softly, squeezing your hand gently.
Before you could respond, a sudden hush fell over the room, drawing your attention to the commotion across the room. You followed Lando's gaze, your heart sinking as you saw him make eye contact with one of your cousins, their faces morphing as if they were having a whispered conversation.
”What's going on?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper as dread coiled in the pit of your stomach.
You have seen this scene before and you did not like where this was going. Feeling overwhelmed, you got up and excused yourself from the table. Slightly glad to have Lando do the same.
This was all a confusion. You repeated in your head before standing outside the venue, away from distressed eyes and hushed gossips.
Lando's grip on your hand tightened, his expression unreadable as he turned to face you. ”I... I need to talk to you,” he said, his voice strained with emotion.
Your heart plummeted as you watched him fidget, every step feeling like a weight bearing down on your chest. ”What is it?” you asked, your voice trembling with apprehension.
Lando hesitated, his eyes darting away from yours as if unable to meet your gaze. ”I... I don't know how to say this,” he began, his voice faltering.
Just then, your cousin appeared at his side, her expression a mix of guilt and defiance. ”Y/N, we need to talk,” she said, her voice tinged with remorse.
They exchanged another glance and something in your mind stopped working.
Your breath caught in your throat as the pieces of the puzzle fell into place, the truth hitting you like a sledgehammer to the chest. ”No...” you whispered, the word barely a breath as tears welled in your eyes.
Lando reached out to you as you took a step away from them, his voice a desperate plea. ”Please, let me explain,” he begged, his eyes brimming with regret.
But you pulled away, the sting of deceit too raw and painful to bear. ”Not you too,” you choked out, your voice breaking with emotion. ”How could you do this to me?”
There were no answers, no explanations that could erase the pain of their breach of trust. They both just watched as you started crying softly. Apparently everyone in your family knew too.
As tears welled in your eyes, Lando's pleading voice cut through the air. ”Y/N, please, just give me a chance to explain.” His hand reached out towards you, but you recoiled, his touch now feeling like a betrayal.
”Explain what?” you retorted, your voice laced with disbelief. ”That you cheated on me with my cousin?”
Lando's eyes widened in panic but instead your cousin's voice broke through the tension, filled with regret. ”Y/N, I'm so sorry. It was a mistake, it shouldn't have happened.”
Anger surged within you at her words. ”Sleeping with my fucking boyfriend was a mistake?” you shot back, incredulous at the audacity of her apology.
Lando stepped forward, his expression a mix of remorse and longing. ”I never meant to cause you any pain, Y/N. Please believe me,” he pleaded, his voice trembling with emotion.
Your trust had shattered along with your heart.
His voice quivered as he spoke again, desperation lacing his words. ”I love you, Y/N. I made a stupid mistake, but it doesn't change how I feel about you.”
But love now felt like a distant memory, tarnished by their adultery.
”If this is love, I want no part of it,” you declared, your voice filled with anguish. Knowing deep down that you meant it.
Your cousin reached out to you, her eyes brimming with tears. ”Y/N, please, you have to understand...” But understanding felt beyond your reach, lost in a sea of pain and betrayal.
”Understand what?” you cried out, your voice breaking with emotion. ”That my own sister betrayed me with my… my boyfriend?”
Lando's plea echoed in the air, his voice thick with desperation. ”I'll do anything to make it up to you, Y/N. Just give me a chance.”
But the chance had already been squandered, lost in the wreckage of their infidelity.
”You had your chance, Lando, and you blew it.” You wish you could be angry and put them to their places but your chest was hurting so much that it was almost dizzy.
You felt sick and on the verge of passing out.
”I'll do anything to make things right, Y/N. Just tell me what to do.” But there was nothing they could do to undo the damage that had been done, no words or actions that could mend the broken pieces of your heart.
They have insulted you in front of your whole family.
”There's nothing you can do to fix this, Lando. You've ruined everything,” you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper as you turned away, the weight of their betrayal too heavy to bear.
As you walked away, their voices faded into the background, drowned out by the deafening roar of your own heartbreak. And as you stumbled out into the night, the stars above offering no solace, you vowed never to let anyone break you again.

LN4 - Reporting
Request: No. Genre: Fluff, Comfort Triggers: Sexual Assault (Graphic) Summary: You are a reporter working the F1 Japanese GP weekend, during a interview you get attacked. Struggleing with the aftermath, lando comes by to help you cope.
Not proofread - 2.8k Words
Tumblr media
It was a beautiful day at the Suzuka GP during the 2023 season of F1, it was your second year of being a reporter in the motorsport scene, doing content with the teams and even becoming friends with a good portion of the drivers. Specifically the top runners since they were the ones you interviewed the most, even being invited to team dinners along with Lissie and other media personel.
It was a beautiful and sunny day, Max had secured another P1 finish and the McLarens had made it a 2-3.  Oscar was still doing a different interview but Max Verstappen and Lando Norris had blessed your booth with their presence, it was loud. Fans all around you as you were set up pretty much in the middle of the paddock. This was a usual scene for you, it was where you felt really in your element, going with the flow of things and especially getting some exciting content done.
Both drivers gave you a big smile when they arrived at the spot designated for them. You hadn’t seen eachother in a week, it would be time for some proper catchup after the media duties were finally done. Since it was warm you were wearing a breathtaking flowery croptop praired with a pair of white pants, the outfit coming together summery yet still professional.
“Good day to the two of you, congratulations on your top finishes today, I hope you are very proud of yourselves. That was amazing to watch.” You started of the questioning as you gave the camera a smile. Behind the camera were only a couple of people, max and landos PR Managers as well as a camera operator and your own manager. Most of the tech part was done in a building not to far from you.
The Paddock didn’t allow too much space for any more people really. The only barrier between you and the fans being a volunteer and some drawn lines on the ground.
You were about half way through your interview and the drivers had been nicely awnsering all of your questions, throwing a joke in here and there.
You noticed the crowd behind you getting louder and a little bit more unsetteled but you couldn’t check, just relying on your hearing. What was going on? Probably just someone causing a little mayhem, Is what you told yourself, trying to focus on the task at hand. You noticed these kind of changes in your environment fairly easily, It was natural to be this hyper vigilant ever since you had been attacked by a mad man at the bar not accepting your decline as he tried to make advances toward you.
You hated to think about what that night did to you, how dirty you felt and how hurt you were. Since then your quick thinking and being able to read situations had saved you more than once. It was good but also tiring to be this aware at any given time in public.
Trying not to get lost in your own thoughts you turned your attention back to the motorsport athletes in front of you. Your next question was specifically for the young McLaren Driver. You took a breath and started your next question, “How does it feel to get a double podium-“ Especially with your teammate still being a rookie, That was how I wanted to end the question but I didn’t get to.
The murmurs of the crowd had gotten alarmingly loud but it was already too late to react. A arm snaked around my body from behind, a hand gripping your hair tightly and tugging your head backwards. Your head was spinning, the painful force of the pull on your long hair making your senses give up on you. Your hearing was gone, yet everything moved so slowly. Both hands of the tall figure attacking you from behind now grabbing your chest and squeezing both your breasts. What was happening?! Your body was spun around, and you saw the ground getting closer to my face, body and mind still somewhat frozen in place as all you could do was watch the asphalt of the paddock street racing towards you. The second your body hit the floor was when the time went back to normal. It was loud, deafening almost. Someone was yelling, people were leaping towards you. The crushing weight of the man still on your body, pressing up against your upper body, knees on your thigh, Pinned down. Your head had hit the floor and ur knees and hands were burning with the sensation of the rough material scraping the skin of the areas of your body taking the impact.
Then all of a sudden the weight on your body was gone, everything hurt. A arm reached for you, you body flinching at the movement. Someone was talking, what were they saying?
“Hey- you? Hey hey y/n, y/n-“ Your name was being called. Your vision starts to clear just enough to make out the two familiar faces looking at you with concern. “Are you okay?” you could finally make out the words. “Im- what. I’m okay..” was all you were able to say. You regained the feeling of your body. Looking around, you could see security making their way towards you.
Next to you was Max, holding down the man that must have been your attacker. He was ugly, disgusting, a disgusting human if you could even call him human. He was more an animal, the way he attacked you. On live TV. The realization that you might still be live hit you like a rock. You scrambled to get up. Your body barely complying.
“Don’t. Let the medics check you out. You hit your head darling.” The firm voice of Lando ordered. “No I’m okay, promise.” Was all you answered.
Security having taken over the violent man from Maxes strong grip. You gave a questioning look to your Manager, “Still live, are you good to finish and then we will stop for the day?”, they seriously wanted her to continue after what had just happened? All you wanted to do was run away, hide and wash the feeling of those rouge hands on your body .
You didn’t have time to answer as the camera pointed back at you. With quick fingers you fixed your blouse, wrapping your arms around the front of your body before letting out a sentence of goodbyes, “I’m sure some of you saw what just happened and have understanding for this interview having to be cut short. I am okay. See you next time.” Is what you managed to get out before the camera stopped rolling with a quiet click. The crew of the interview pierced its way towards the closed of part of the paddock.
As soon as you had arrived in safety, most people left. Max shooting you a sad look as he left. Only your manager, Landos and Lando himself stayed behind as they placed you in a small room. You didn’t say anything, you couldn’t say anything. It was like your mouth was glued shut. Memories of your previous experience resurfacing as the fresh feeling of those hands on you still ached badly. “Hey love, its okay, you’re safe. Tell us what you need.” Maya, your manager was the first to speak.
“Home.” Is all you could get out. It sounded chocked like there was someone wrapping their hand around your throat and squeezing it tightly. The room was silent, not even bubbly Lando daring to speak a word has he saw your emotionless body sit there, contemplating everything. They gave you a understanding look and it wasn’t long until you were in the back of a car being taken back to your hotel.
You don’t remember the way up to your hotel room, unlocking the door and thrown yourself onto the floor beside your bed. The images weren’t relenting, the disgusting feeling on your skin making you itch at it in a attempt to rid yourself of the stains of hands and body on your skin. It had made of feel helpless, like you didn’t stand a chance, why did it happen again. Why did that man do that, was it your fault? Had you done something? A rational part of you knowing its not your own fault, but your body feeling like you were the one that had done something wrong. Its sad what society made you believe. Your limbs start to tremble as the panic takes over your body.
You don’t know how much time has passed when your mind finally lets a little loose on the grip it has on your body and flashbacks. You try to sort your thoughts. Shower. That’s all you wanted, to get clean, atleast as much as you could after the events not even 2 hours earlier. The events the racetrack were probably calming down about now. The teams would still be working for a while but the fans were probably slowly thinning out.
Heaving your heavy body of the floor you made your way towards the big bathroom of you hotel room. Clothes being tossed carelessly into a corner somewhere along the way, you grabbed a oversized hoodie and some shorts, something clean to wear after you were done. You felt very empty all of a sudden, no tears leaving your eyes anymore. The hot water of the shower made you feel just a tiny bit better, as you took war to your body scrubbing down from head to toe. The shampoo burning on the cuts on your knees and hands, your head still hurting. The skin of your Chest and shoulders being red as you stepped out of the steamy class cabin. You didn’t have any strength left in you, quickly throwing on the tshirt and shorts before collapsing onto the soft carpet laying in front of the sink. Curling up and drowning in memories again. This time not shaking, not crying… just laying there, existing.
It felt like you’d been laying there for weeks but in reality it must have only been a couple of minutes. Your hair still dripping wet.  You snapped out of your trance when you heard the door of your room unlock. Who was it? No one else had a keycard? You were a little scared but also didn’t have it in you to move. Slowly steps moved into the dark room. “y/n? Are you here? Its Lando” The voice of the McLaren driver called through the room. You didn’t answer. Lando must have noticed the lights in the bathroom, the door half way open. You saw his head peek around the corner, hesitating not wanting to invade your privacy.
His heart hurt looking at your slumped figure on the floor. “I’m just here to check up on you after what happened. I’m so so sorry love. Is it okay if I come in?” he asked, something so soft about his voice. A raspy yeah escaped your lips, barely loud enough for him to hear you. He walked in, slowly lowering himself to your vision as he sat down not to far away from you, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. You also slowly started to lift yourself off the floor, almost getting dizzy as you did so. You took better look at the concerned man in front of you. He had a little first aid packet and some chocolate in his hands.
“Why are you here?” you said, it just slipped out and probably sounded a little more rude than you wanted to. “I wanted to see if I can help you, you looked so hurt when you left, im just incredibly worried. If you need space I can leave but please check in with me or someone else, I don’t want you to do anything stupid.” He said now looking insecure about his decision to come see you. “No. Please stay. I don’t want to be alone Lan.” You choked out before you could stop it. God you felt stupid, like a burden. His gaze onto you softened even more than it already had. “Anything I can do for you?”  “Actually yes, can you help me dry my hair? It hurts my hands when I do it..” this was so embarrassing you whised the ground would just swallow you up.
But Lando didn’t bat an eye as he slowly got up and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around your head and drying your hair with slow motions, you flinched at the initial contact and he hesitated for a second before he kept going. Once your hair was only left to be a little bit damp he took the towel away and stood up again. “Good?” “Good.” You said satisfied with the result. “Thank you.” You heaved yourself up on shaky legs making your way towards the bed. You sat on the edge. Lando coming out of the bathroom walked over and knelt infront of you.
You shot him a confused look as he pulled out the first aid kit again. “is it okay if I put some bandages on those cuts?” he asked gently. You nodded. “this might sting.” He quickly warned before spraying some disinfectant on the wounds. It stung, you let out a spall pained noise. He looked at you your pain almost reflecting in his blue eyes.  “is it okay if I touch you? Just to put the bandage on? You can do it yourself if you don’t want me to touch you?” He said. He actually asked for your constent. Something inside you melted at that, why didn’t everyone act like this. Why did some people take your consent for granted, abuse you and take away control over yourself. Why? You nodded again, and the white bandage soon made contact with the bruised skin of first your knees then your hands. He was so gentle, looking up for your approval before doing anything. He was so cautious, so gentle, it made you want to give HIM a hug. You sat up on the bed, resting against the headboard, scooting over a bit so there was space for lando. After a small thinking break he took the offer and sat down on the other side of the bed.
There was a akward silence for a while, Lando wanting to give you the chance to speak if you wanted too. After a couple of minutes you finally broke. “You know this isn’t the first time something like this has happened to me?” He looked at you with hurt puppy eyes. “I feel so disgusting, dirty, I know its not my fault but I also don’t. I can still feel his hands, his body on mine. I hate this so much-“ is all you can get out of your mouth before the flood of tears start streaming down your face. Here you are crying infront of fucking Lando Norris. Yes you were thankful he was there to help you but you never wanted anyone to see you like this. Broken. “Im so sorry love, what do you need, anything I can do to help you right now?” He said, he looked so loving, caring, just wanting to help you. “A hug, hold me for a second please….” You say, he looks at you concerned. But scoots a little closer. Arms open with a tiny smile on his lips. It’s a invitation to initiate contact how you liked it, not wanting to overstep. You gladly take up his inviting gesture, scoot closer and collapse into his arms.
Youre sobbing into his hoodie, head on the young drivers chest, his chin resting on the top of your head. His steady heartbeat giving you something to listen to, to focus on, getting his breathing in sync with your own. His strong arms are now wrapped around you firmly. One hand slowly stroking your hair. Faint, whispered words spilling from his mouth. “Youre safe love. Deep breaths.” And so on. His embrace making you feel safe and protected, slowly, very slowly slowing down your sobbing shaking body into a puddle of soft emotional embrace. You cries slowly but surely die down and he begins softly humming a song you cant quite make out, the vibration of his chest being weirdly soothing. His body radiated warmth as you began to feel more and more tired. “Thank you Lan.” You mumble slowly drifting off. You had never felt as safe as in Landos arms right now. “Always love. You ll be okay I promise. And im always here to help you when you need me.” He answers. Last thing you feel is his hand drawing circles on your back and the hand in your hair slowing down before you both drifted off to the land of the dreams… Sorry this was sad as fuck but it is what it is, thank you for reading my first official one shot :>

heelooososo requesting a lando x reader when she is going on a road trip with him and gets car sick requesting this as I’m sitting in the car and I feel like dying😭😭 thanku!!!!!
Heyy! You should really try ginger to ease motion sickness. That always helps me. Anything with ginger in it, really. Tea, too. Anyways, hope you enjoy!
Getting car sick — LN4
He planned a nice car trip, but you get motion sickness — Lando Norris x f!reader, comfort (honestly just Lando being an angel), no use of y/n word count: 930
The French Riviera really was as beautiful as everyone said. You'd gotten to experience that beauty first hand for the past few months since you moved down to Monaco with Lando. He'd moved there last year already while you were still back in London and tied down to your workplace, but after a lot of negotiations with your boss, you were finally able to work completely from home instead of having to come into the office every day.
Life was nice down here in the South of France. The sun was almost always out, it was always a nice temperature all year around and you were close to the sea. It was pretty much perfect, really, and your French was just getting better and better every day.
Last week Lando had the idea to just book you two a nice weekend getaway in a town down the coast about 30 minutes from Marseille. He didn't have a race this weekend and you two would be able to just relax as a couple after he'd been away a lot recently. To your dismay that also meant getting kicked out of bed at eight in the morning in order to hopefully avoid a bit of the traffic, tourists coming down from the north for their holidays would cause. You'd always loved the idea of road trips, but there was just one downside— you were prone to motion sickness and that was not a fun thing.
As the car sped along the motorway, winding its way through a beautiful mountain landscape, you sat in the passenger seat, your knuckles white as you clung to your seat. Your eyes were closed tightly, and your face a grimace of discomfort. Despite having taken preventative measures like focusing on a fixed point on the horizon and your breathing, you could feel the nauseating sensation of motion sickness creeping up on you like a predator about to overwhelm its prey.
"Lando," you mumbled not even halfway into the two and a half hour journey, swallowing hard. "I think... I think I'm going to be sick."
Lando glanced over at you, concern etching lines into his forehead. He knew you were prone to getting car sick on long rides, but had hoped you wouldn't today.
"Hey, it's okay," he said, his voice soothing as he gently took your hand, keeping the other one on the steering wheel. "Just take slow, deep breaths. There's a gas station in a few kilometres. I'll pull over there and you can get some fresh air, okay?"
You took his advice, focusing on the rhythm of your breathing. Then he pulled the car off the road after a few more minutes and found an empty spot to park in before turning off the engine. He reached over and placed a comforting hand on your back, rubbing gently, then dug into your travel bag on the backseat, pulling out a bottle of water and a pack of ginger chews, known to help with nausea. He handed them to you with a sympathetic smile, and you gratefully accepted, taking small sips of water and nibbling on the chews.
You sat there in silence for a while, the only sound being the chirping of the cicadas outside and the rustling of the surrounding pine trees through the windows Lando had opened so you could get some fresh air.
As color gradually returned to your face you released a soft sigh of relief. A small, grateful smile spread across your face as you turned to your boyfriend who'd been watching you with worried eyes as his thumb rubbed gentle circles into your palm. "I think I'm okay now," you murmured, you voice much steadier than before when you'd felt like an elephant was sitting on your chest.
Lando returned your smile, relief washing over him. He gave your hand a reassuring squeeze before speaking up.
"Do you maybe wanna take a quick walk or should we get going again?" he asked softly, nodding towards the parking lot surrounded by trees. You shook your head no. You'd be fine.
He restarted the engine, taking extra care to drive at a slower pace this time. The car eased back onto the road, the journey resuming with a newfound calmness.
You continued to snack on the ginger chews, now realizing their effectiveness. Every now and then, you'd take small sips from the water bottle, keeping your nausea at bay. The combination of these remedies and the slower speed of the car seemed to help manage your motion sickness better.
You two continued your journey through the winding road for about another one and a half hours, the scenery outside the window calming and serene. The sun was still high in the sky, casting a warm glow on top of the mountains and the sparse trees and bushes adorning them. Tranquility enveloped the car, the only sounds being the soft tunes from the radio and Lando's gentle humming.
As you drove further, your discomfort became a distant memory. You found yourself almost relaxing, leaning back into your seat and actually kind of enjoying the scenic beauty unfolding before your eyes. This road trip, despite its minor setback, was turning out to be quite the nice trip Lando had planned.
Your boyfriend, noticing your relaxed demeanor, smiled to himself. Even with the earlier episode of sudden motion sickness, he was glad he'd planned this trip. The South of France was breathtaking, and being able to share this life with his wonderful girl was something he wouldn't trade for anything.

Tags: Landoscar, Twinklaren, Oscar going through it, especially with that Brazil GP 2023, Hurt/Comfort, Character Analysis, Lando and Oscar end up together, in depth look into the quiet child experience, I know it personally.
Word Count: 1.5k
This work is also on AO3 under user roianamustang (me).
It’s always running, sprinting. It keeps on falling, tripping. It stumbles, gets back up, looks around, it moves. It never stops moving.
For all of his 22 years on this Earth, Oscar’s mind has never been quiet. Not like he is.
Tumblr media
He’s heard the remarks, even agreed with some of them.
Since he was a child, he remembers his mother being continuously praised on what a quiet, calm kid she had. He remembers his father being teased for how his son was not rowdy or mischievous. He remembers his sisters’ friends describing him as mysterious and cool, unassuming.
Now with his life on full display at McLaren, he reads on how unemotional, unenthusiastic he seems. He reads and he stays quiet.
He observes, he reflects. Eyes unblinking and the air still around him. Like it always seems to be.
I know.
Tumblr media
From an outsider’s point of view, he can understand. He can see why people's opinions of him are what they are. Putting himself in people’s shoes has always come as second nature to Oscar. It was getting out of those shoes that seemed to be the problem.
Sympathizing, empathizing, understanding he can do. Observation has been his strongest skill and it has sharpened over the years.
Yet, it seems, other people can never do it for him. They can never get it right. It doesn’t seem like they’ll start getting it now or any time soon. Sometimes it feels like they won’t ever get it, even in the far future.
Do I know?
Tumblr media
Little footsteps echoed in his mother’s shadow around the place. It’s the loudest he’s been. Oscar looks around, wide-eyed, intrigued, curious. Always taking things in. But they never seem to be able to get out.
I learn.
Tumblr media
Sleep.
Sleep is a favorite activity of his. It had his mother concerned when he was but a young boy, come up to him about it. Ask him. Ponder. Assume.
Oscar doesn’t think he will ever get over his mothers face looking confused, conflicted when he told her.
His brain jumps, it flies. If it couldn’t catch something, it would find another thing. His brain ran itself thin, it crouched, it needed sleep.
‘That’s not normal.’ his mom had said.
Recommended taking a break. Recommended letting himself breathe. Recommended to stop.
‘It’s not healthy.’ She’d pressed.
I know.
Tumblr media
When his hands touched the karting wheel, time didn’t stop. To be fair, it actually only seemed to go slower. He hadn’t done this before. Things he hasn't done or tried yet, aren't perfected. He shouldn’t expect results. Keep your expectations low, so they're either met or pleasantly surpassed.
That’s why it was unexpected, uncalculated. He pressed the pedal, he gripped the wheel, he didn't blink, he passed the first kid. Then the next one. Then the next, and the next and it just kept on going. He felt the wind, he saw the turns, he heard the noise.
He felt. He felt and it stopped. He felt and didn’t bolt from it. Didn’t run it dry, didn’t analyze. Didn’t think.
His heart beat loudly, resounding through his body. Echoing in his ears.
Yet.
It was quiet.
He won, and he kept on winning and he didn’t seem to be able to stop.
Satisfaction thrummed through his veins and entered his head. Lingering, altering.
I know now.
Tumblr media
After a while the inevitable happened. He grew, things became more important. They required thinking. They required analyzing, observing, seeing. It was a trained response, Oscar knew what to do. He moved on autopilot. He slept.
But he craved. Craved the silence. It seemed to slip away the higher he went.
He can make sacrifices, he understands.
I know.
Do I?
Tumblr media
Alpine was loud. Alpine was deafening and emotional. Alpine made Oscar feel, but not in the way he wanted to.
He felt but his mind raced faster. He felt but it didn’t feel exhilarating. He felt but he didn’t overtake, he didn’t take off.
He froze.
He felt and he couldn’t stop thinking.
The sacrifice would have been in vain. The silence lost, for nothing. What was the point of doing this, if at the very least his hard-earned success didn’t get him where he wanted? If his freshly departed sacrifice, felt like a freshly opened wound?
His F2 Championship was everything he wanted. But what about everything he wished?
I don’t know, not anymore.
Tumblr media
Oscar figured out pretty soon that the root of his problem was his yearning. He yearned the quiet, he yearned the success. And for two years now, he longed for revenge. But he didn’t do things blaringly, not like Alpine.
He does them unexpectedly, or so it seems to others anyway.
For the first time in a long time. Oscar Piastri overtakes.
@OscarPiastri
I understand that, without my agreement, Alpine F1 have put out a press release late this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. This is wrong and I have not signed a contract with Alpine for 2023. I will not be driving for Alpine next year.

I know again.
Tumblr media
That being said, when your constant variable is overanalyzing, new environments don’t add well to the equation. New environments mean new people, new people mean new expectations.
New expectations mean a higher probability for error.
But he could do this. He worked for it, he fought for it. He sacrificed for it.
He itched for it.
I know.
Tumblr media
When you let your mind wander, it creates new pathways, new possibilities. Wandering allows for running and running in a forest means getting lost.
His newest forest, seems to be going by the name of a Lando Norris.
I found out.
Tumblr media
Lando was noise. Lando was the unachievable. More years of experience meant more years of achievements. Lando was his closest teammate and his hardest rival.
But, as days passed, comfort became Lando.
Security transformed into Lando.
Silence translated to Lando. Not in Lando himself, no, of course not. To him. To Oscar.
Lando spoke and Oscar listened.
Lando asked and Oscar answered.
Lando touched and Oscar leaned.
Lando moved and Oscar followed.
Lando stopped and Oscar stopped.
I always knew.
Tumblr media
The year had started slow, but by God did it pick up the pace. It just needed some time to warm up those soft compound tyres. Just like Lando, who helped Oscar get more comfortable. With the car. With the team. With the new upgrades, the suddenly incessant meetings. With his ability to put in his input and have it be taken into consideration.
With Lando.
The better they got, the more media work they did. While in the past, Oscar may have dreaded it, he’s grown to like it.
The more media work they did, whether they noticed it or not, the closer they got. Bonded.
At the time Oscar hadn't noticed—something that doesn't just happen, that for the first time ever, he was the one being analyzed, looked into. Someone was getting in his shoes, and they seemed dead set on not leaving.
Without realizing it, Lando had become fresh air, first podiums, bright days, calm nights, quiet thoughts, content. Oscar felt content. His brain didn’t run, it walked, it discovered. It felt but it was ok.
I stumbled upon the discovery.
Tumblr media
The heat was unbearable, yes, exhausting. But it didn’t matter, because he had done it. He has proved it. He met the expectations, in fact he can confidently say he has surpassed them.
He spilled the water on his head, felt it go through each individual strand of hair, down his back, onto his hands. He felt exhilarated.
Was it the water or the newly discovered heaviness of a gaze?
I know who it was.
Tumblr media
He spilled the champagne at Lando on that podium, let it flow down the ridges of his back, the smile on his face, the hands clutching the bottle, the curls shining under the night lights. Grinned at it, laughed with it. Enjoyed it.
Did he say champagne?
He meant his own eyes.
Trailing. Following.
I knew.
Tumblr media
The first brush of lips was soft. It was a question, a request for permission.
Just like in his newly rediscovered passion for racing, winning, Oscar didn’t think. He felt. He acted. He nodded.
The first press of lips was gradual, tentative, exploring.
He sighed. He melted. He pulled.
Safety feels warm. Comfort feels free. Being understood feels like losing control, but you’re still holding the reins.
He’d always wanted a weighted blanket. Guess there was no need for that anymore when you have a lap full of Lando.
They laid down. With hands combing through his locks and lips brushing on his forehead, Oscar allowed himself to let go.
His eyes dropped. He felt warmth on the top of his head, around his body, encasing his heart. He felt and it was ok.
Nothing was sacrificed. It was planted, watered over the years. Waited for the seasons to change.
Until it bloomed, blossomed.
And this time Oscar slept and woke up feeling rested.
The view certainly helped.
I’ll know.
-End-
Notes:
I'll analyze all of the 'I know' and their versions:
1) I know, Oscar is well aware of how he seems to people and their opinions of him. He can't do much to change them, cause he can't do much to change himself. This is who he is. Besides they are wrong. He feels so much, it tends to get overwhelming.
2) Do I know?, Being highly empathetic with people allows you to see every aspect and reason for their actions or reactions, however most people don't do this. Their main focus is themselves, other people come second and so on. It feels like putting in the effort but never having any effort being put in you.
3) I learn, children are curious and their minds act like sponges. No matter how small they are they will understand and remember everything.
4) I know, Oscar is self-aware enough to know that thinking so much it physically makes you tired is not the usual. He can't just stop though, it's how he functions. This is directly taken from a personal experience with this same conversation.
5) I know now, he knew right then and there that racing would be his freedom, his life.
6) I know.
Do I?, Is he ready to make these sacrifices? Is he willing to put in the work? Is it worth it? Is racing what he wants for his future? These are all insinuated questions he asks himself.
7) I don't know, not anymore, Alpine was even more doubt and wait. Waiting made the doubt linger and never leave. The future seemed bleaker. The sacrifices worthless.
8) I know again, Oscar found a purpose, a reason to continue.
9) I know, there's no more time for waiting or hesitance. He figured out how these things work now. You push forward. There is no time for second guessing.
10) I found out, something new, unexpected. Lando himself.
11) I always knew, was it actually new and unexpected or was it exactly what he was waiting for?
12) I stumbled upon the discovery, Oscar's whole thing is the need for quiet, for his brain to just stop for a second. It used to be racing that gave him that feeling and while it is slowly returning, it seems to not be the only thing that has that affect on him. There seems to be something, or someone else too.
13) I know who it was, it was Lando's gaze spilling down his back. Mapping Oscar on that podium.
14) I knew, it was his own gaze, spilling down Lando's. Gazing.
15) I'll know, he doesn't have to think, to analyze. Let the future be unknown. If he wants to, he can make it happen. With Lando there, it is assured, safe
Please note that no matter how much I am writing here, it is all artistic speculation of what Oscar himself has decided to show the world. Do not forget that these drivers are real people.
I wrote this after my own personal experience. I find Oscar incredibly familiar and relatable. It doesn't help that I look enough like him that the merge filter on TikTok refuses to merge me with him specifically.
Thank you so much for the dividers to @cafekitsune and @saradika ! They are so pretty!
Thank you so much for reading! It would mean a lot if I managed to get some comments or reposts!
I have another story with Lestappen (Charles Leclerc x Max Verstappen), called 'Stop, but not forever, that I posted some days ago. If you like this please go and support that as well! It can be found on my Masterlist, at the Formula 1 one.
