LOV as music taste

Tomura Shigaraki: I think, as much as I am not fond of this, that Shigaraki would enjoy listening to edgy music (and I think he would do this specifically to appear edgy). So, stuff like Marilyn Manson, Mindless self indulgence, Nine Inch Nails or Insane Clown Posse...

Dabi: Alternative rock, post-punk or even just indie, I think he's got that TR/ST, Interpol, The Neighbourhood or even Chase Atlantic music taste, because I think he's into the mood and intensity of their songs.

Toga: Again, very fluid, as anything with Toga. It could range from many different genres, but her main go-to artists could probably be Florence + The Machines, Kikuo, Lykke Li or Melanie Martinez (probably her older work though, like Crybaby or K-12).

Kurogiri: I think Kurogiri likes to listen to calm, perhaps even emotional music - so classical music it is. Erik Satie, Antonin Dvorak, Antonio Vivaldi, Pyotr Tchaikovsky or Bedrich Smetana.

Mr. Compress: Mr. Compress would listen to something that matches his drama-oriented nature, so I think he'd be a fan of musicals - eg. Hamilton, Les Misérables, Wicked and obviously The Greatest Showman.

Even though Shigaraki doesn't like having the rest of the LoV around when he's with you, dates at his place are a must. How are you two gonna play videogames otherwise? He'll try to get you to play every game he has, but he also enjoys binge watching series together. Please, remember to bring snacks to him, he forgets to eat.

Ever heard of urban exploration? Toya knows the best abandoned places to hang out in and explore. He'd encourage you to bring a camera, and will take loads of nice photos of you, given you send some of them to him later. Almost getting arrested for trespassing wasn't in your plans, but it made it more fun for him.

Spinner doesn't really like going out, as it makes him nervous when people look at him. But when he's with you? That ain't a problem anymore. Side glances are accompanied by smiles when he puts an arm over your shoulder, and he finally feels like he can blend in. He loves to walk around the city, maybe stop at a cafe to offer you a snack.

Toga will plan so many dates with you. Too many. You'll go to the zoo, to the cinema, to a concert, to the local fair, just everywhere. Don't blame her, she always wanted to have a s/o to hang out with. You sometimes wonder if she has already planned your wedding, too. But after all, she always seems so happy to hold your hand, everywhere you might be.

If you let Twice choose where to go on a date, he'll insist on taking you to an amusement park. He just loves the idea of you having fun with him, and will try and win one of those animal plushies. Ok, maybe he stole it. You don't know exactly, and you don't want to. Let's keep it romantic.

Mr. Compress, of course, is one for sophisticated dates. Ever been to the opera? To a Shakespeare representation? Let's just say he really likes the theatre. You thought it would have been boring at first, but his snarky comments can make it quite entertaining. Keeping yourself from laughing out loud is the hardest part.

As he doesn't really get a lot of free time, most of the dates with Kurogiri happen in the dim-lit space of the pub he works at(or pretends to?).Still, he seems to have an infinite amount of interesting stories to tell. Also, all the guests of the pub seem to like your company. Going back home after closing hours isn't that scary, knowing all the worst people in the city are on your side.

I think he just doesn’t feel any kind of attraction towards anyone. Even a little repulsed by the idea of it.

I don’t have arguments for why i think he is genderfluid, but he is. It just feels right to me.

Dabi: bisexual with a preference for men.

He wants to dick down hawks so baaaaad

Does not have preference for any pronouns, doesn’t care how you choose to address him. In fact, don’t do address him at all.

Part of me screams demi too, like if you dont gain his trust and respect, he would be even grossed out if you tried to make advances. (Although is canon he can’t catch on when someone does).

I hate to say it, magne is straight. Nothing wrong with it of course… but like painfully straight

With many body changes she is used to being different everyday. At the beginning it was hard to accept it, but she slowly started to embrace it and get very upset when people use the wrong pronouns.

Although you’ll think you could just look at her and tell but nooooo, you have to ask. Could be into the most masculine body in the world and be she/her.

Twice: bisexual

and a hoe, so many girlfriends and boyfriends you’ll need more fingers to count them.

a kurogiri theory/hc.

I have a theory for why Tomura was so much colder towards Kurogiri than he was towards the rest of League. We see Tomura be very accommodating and, dare I say, kind towards most of the League. He doesn’t get angry when Spinner gets up in his face and yells at him, he doesn’t lash out when Toga pulls a knife on him during the Overhaul arc, he never gives Twice shit for the self imposed limits of his quirk, etc. But with Kurogiri we see him be very angry, I remember him even calling Kurogiri stupid and threatening him during the USJ incident.

I think that this anger towards Kurogiri is likely a consequence of how Kurogiri’s programming effected his an Tomura’s relationship when Tomura was growing up. We don’t know much about Kurogiri’s programming (there might be more info about it in Vigilantes but I haven’t read that, if someone has and there is more info about how he was made/what AFO did to him please let me know!!) so I am going to guess what sorts of things he is forced to do and not do.

Kurogiri was made from Shirakumo Oboro’s corpse, someone who (from what little i know about him in Vigilantes) is very kind, great with kids, and a hero hopeful. I’m sure if Shirakumo saw little Tomura and how he was being raised (read: groomed) by AFO, he would try to put a stop to it, so AFO would want to ensure that Shirakumo’s personality does not break through (as has been known to happen to Nomu).

So the first bit of programming I think AFO did to prevent that is pretty obvious: I think AFO programmed in that Kurogiri cannot deny any order given by AFO to either Kurogiri or Tomura.

I think something else AFO would have been worried about is Tomura growing too dependent on or too affectionate towards Kurogiri. The reason grooming works is because groomers chose a victim who is isolated. They usually don’t have good relationships with their peers or their parents, so they latch on to their groomer who is giving them the attention that they don’t get anywhere else. Because of this lack of a relationship with anyone else, it also means that the victim does not have anyone to talk to about their relationship with the groomer, so no one will be there to point out that what the groomer is doing is inappropriate.

This leads me to my guess on the second bit of programming Kurogiri was given: do not show Tomura affection.

Showing Tomura affection would make him more attached to Kurogiri, and consequently not solely dependent on AFO, thus making the grooming less likely to work. Kurogiri obviously took care of Tomura’s basic needs and protected him, that is his job, but I think anything beyond the bare minimum was likely not allowed. No hugs, no bedtime stories, just what would keep him alive, so that AFO is the sole provider of all of the “love” and affection that Tomura craves.

Now, how would that cause Tomura to have the tumultuous relationship that he has with Kurogiri by the time of USJ? Well, from what little we see of Tomura’s childhood after being taken in by AFO, it was pretty fucked up. Getting beaten up in the streets, frequently physically ill, constantly scratching his own throat out, being forced to kill… not great to say the least. Couple that suffering with a “caretaker” who can only do the bare minimum, who cannot comfort him when he is in pain, who cannot step in when AFO is pushing him too hard, and some resentment towards said “caretaker” is likely to form.

I don’t think that Tomura hates Kurogiri, and I think that logically he knows some of Kurogiri’s coldness towards his pain is a result of AFO’s influence, but feelings don’t always listen to logic. I think that the planning of AFO in harboring a tumultuous relationship between them worked, and Tomura now has some deep seeded resentment starting from a very young age towards Kurogiri that can’t just be removed by the logical understanding he has as an adult that Kurogiri is just doing what he has to.

anyway, that’s my guess. I’d love to hear what you guys think and any other bit of programming you think AFO did.

Kurogiri

I feel like Kurogiri would probably find out without you telling him, and rather than flying off the handle and using brute force, he would begin psychological warfare!

~ You had been quiet for weeks, Kurogiri began to get progressively more and more worried, you had never hidden anything from him, so something must be wrong. ~ You were meek and timid, not your usual bubbly self around him. As much as he hated the idea of violating your privacy, he needed to know what was happened. ~ He felt that if you were hiding something from him, he had the right to know. He was slightly paranoid that you were planning on breaking up with him, if you were, he didn't want to be surprised at the bombshell. ~ Searching your room while you were out did make him feel immensely guilty, but he knew something was wrong. ~ As he searched through your bedside dresser, he was shocked, you definitely weren't planning on breaking up with him, instead he found dozens of handwritten notes, if 'handwritten' was the right word. ~ The letters got increasingly scrawled, the words becoming more and more angry, the messages more perverted. ~ The letters started sweet, talking about your beauty and brains, compliment after compliment. But then, when the writer of the letters realised you weren't responding and throwing out their letters, they got vicious. ~ "I know you've read my letters, respond dammit! We were meant to be together! Don't make me force you!" ~ Kurogiri crumpled the letters in his hand, his anger rising quickly. ~ This was a chess match, and he was going to win. ~ Thus the match started, Kurogiri followed your stalker, changing things around and making them feel like they'd lost their mind. Eventually, Kurogiri decided to make an appearance. ~ Showing up behind the stalker, he grabbed him by the throat and pressed him against the wall, "I am only going to say this once, you stay away from my (y/n), unless you want your worthless, insignificant life to end in the most unfortunate way..." ~ Kurogiri growled, dropping the stalker and watching with a sly smirk as they ran, turning around, his smirk dropped seeing you standing there, a small smile on your lips as you giggled and walked off, Kurogiri hurrying to catch up with you.

Dabi

Everyone knows, Dabi is the 'punch now, ask questions later' sort of guy... He would burst in, quirk a-blazing (haha jokes) and demolish anyone he dares to hurt his sweetheart...

~ Dabi was there when you received the first note from the stalker, it wasn't all that bad, just a touch creepy. ~ Naturally, the first thing Dabi wanted was to hunt this guy (or girl) down and make them pay... But you insisted that it was probably a one time thing and they would back off. ~ Unfortunately, you were wrong, the notes only increased, eventually leading to you receiving pictures of yourself, not in any compromising scenarios, thankfully, but someone was still following you. ~ Following you to the store, to the library, to work and back to your home. ~ Dabi had had enough, and he was going to show this creep a thing or two! ~ It was no secret that the villain known as 'Dabi' had taken a shine to someone, the villain's sweetheart was a common news story, but nobody knew who it was... Until now. ~ Following the guy who was, in turn, following you from a safe distance, Dabi moved in for the kill. ~ Sneaking up behind the creep, Dabi covered his mouth with his hand, making sure to use a painfully strong grip, dragging him away from you and towards his car, letting his hands smoulder and burn the stalker's flesh if he tried to make any sounds or sudden movements. ~ Bundling him into his car, Dabi drove the stranger out into the middle of nowhere. ~ Letting him out of the car, Dabi had a twisted grin on his face as the man began to run, knowing he wouldn't get far. ~ Blue flames lit up his face as he followed in pursuit. ~ This was gonna be fun, all for his darling. ~ (And a bit for himself, let's be honest.)

Toga

Honestly, I feel like Toga wouldn't do much to help in the case of the stalker, if anything she would take notes! She loves you, don't get me wrong, and she intends on giving this creep the world of hurt, but she has her own agenda!

~ You sat in disbelief, watching as your girlfriend had a jaunty conversation with the person who had been stalking and harassing you for the last month or so. ~ You weren't too worried about this weirdo (the stalker, not your girlfriend), they seemed relatively harmless, you were surrounded by a group of notorious criminals after all... ~ What you were worried about, was the fact that your girlfriend seemed to be trying to make friends with your stalker... ~ "Look at how many pictures you've got of (y/n)! They're so cute aren't they!? How did you get such a good image from outside their work? I've been trying for ages! They come out all fuzzy!" ~ You sat shaking your head and pinching the bridge of your nose, Dabi was stood behind you, watching the scene in amusement, Shigaraki was just annoyed and Kurogiri was ignoring us all, as usual. ~ "Would you let me pick your brain? Obviously I don't want the most recent advice, I mean... You did get caught... But anything else would be great!" ~ Unfortunately for the creep. ~ Only Himiko was allowed to stalk you! ~ She would up draining the stalker of their blood, it wound up being quite useful, she was able to follow around the Class 1-A students without them being suspicious and even managed to frame the guy for a bunch of crimes before they found his body!

So, I wake up from a nap, right? And I had this weird dream where Dabi, the big, bad villain, is practically begging me to rescue him from a tiny spider on his table. I mean, can you imagine? Dabi, the tough guy, scared of a spider!

And it got me thinking, this dude's got a colossal arachnophobia, like a massive, over-the-top fear of spiders. Considering the League of Villains hangs out in abandoned places where bugs and spiders are like their roommates, I picture him putting on this hardcore poker face. Until that fateful day at the bar with Twice and Toga.

So, there they are, chilling, waiting for Kurogiri to pour some drinks, and Toga casually drops the bomb: "Hey Dabi, you got a spider in your hair." And let me tell you, Dabi freezes. I mean, literally freezes. His breath goes shallow, his usually edgy skin turns paler than a ghost, and he just stares at Toga, no blinking, no breathing.

After what feels like an eternity, Toga figures out what's going on, takes the spider off his hair. Dabi, not missing a beat, jumps up, starts throwing around the thickest slurs he can muster, threatens Toga and Twice with all sorts of consequences if they breathe a word about it (because he knows Kurogiri won't spill a damn thing), and then he storms out of the hideout for a few days lol

So between Hizashi and Aizawa both work like five jobs: Hizashi has his radio station, being a pro hero, and teaching; Aizawa has being a pro hero and teaching

Now if they had just started as teachers it would make sense that they have extra jobs because teaching doesn’t pay shit (support teachers and push for better wages, seriously. It’s bullshit how little educators get)

However, both started out as heroes, and I have to at least hope that hero work pays well enough for you to make a liveable wage. So why the extra jobs?

Sure the radio show could just be a little passion project, and teaching could just be to fill up empty time, but I want to add something more depressing to the mix

What if the reason they work extra jobs is because they made a pact between the two of them to provide for Oboro’s family after he died?

They were so close during their hero training, and I know Aizawa especially would feel so much guilt over what happened

They would’ve done everything in their power to make sure the Shirakumo family didn’t have to worry about a thing

LOV's romantic type

obvious disclaimer: This is just my opinion and it's only based on assumptions!!!

Tomura Shigaraki: Okay, I don't think that Shigaraki physically has a type per se, but personality-wise, I think he really values independence in his partners. Loyalty is also an obvious dealbreaker. I don't think he would like a push-over or someone who lets people toss them around easily.

Dabi: Physically speaking, I think Dabi really likes girls with piercings/tattoos. I can imagine him being the type of guy to go for an e-girl or a punk girl. Personality-wise, I think he is looking for someone who's down-to-earth, likes to have fun and doesn't stress things much, preferably a fling. He isn't really attracted to strict or authoritative people who boss others around.

Toga: She's literally up to anything, however, I'd say she has a preference for girls. I can imagine her dating a shy, not very out-spoken person. I know a lot of people stereotype Toga as "freaky", but I think she's really more of experimental or active, so it depends on the other person.

Kurogiri: Well, I don't really see him having a physical preference. He is very thoughtful and he and lust are technically contradictory terms. But I think he heavily values intelligence in relationships. He wants someone who's mature, calm and witty. He's kind of retired when it comes to the wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am and even if he was younger, I still think he'd be looking for more stable connections.

Mr. Compress: While I think Mr. Compress had a type when he was younger, I think the way we know him, he doesn't have any physical type, just like Kurogiri. Unlike Kurogiri though, I do think that Mr. Compress is still open to the idea of having a one-night stand, even though he is also looking for meaningful relations. He probably really loves someone who is charming and elegant, matching his energy. He loves someone who enjoys his tricks.
