It's been a very tough year for my mental health but writing this story for you all has been such a huge help.

Hongjoong laid out the map that you had seen the other day. He had city hall circled on the page and the routes highlighted. There were a few other things crossed out or underlined as well. Most of which were on the other side of Cromer.

“Here's a map of Cromer.” He told everyone.

“This is the mayor's home, but the stronghold is in city hall.” He pointed to an estate located on the other side of the city from where your family's hotel was.

After hearing that the mayor was involved with the cult, you figured there wouldn’t be much evidence of that in the city hall. Someone should still be going through the files, but the letter they had intercepted was personal, so it would be hidden in the mayor’s home office.

“I don't know.” You spoke up. “I don't think we should be heading for city hall.” You explained.

“What do you think then?” Yunho asked you. “We still need to take all the money back.”

“What about the evidence about them giving the money to Scienslaver?” You questioned. “One of us should go to the mayor's home and the judges.” You added.

“Why the judge?” Seognhwa asked.

“Quaid was appointed town judge two years ago, which was when the mayor started raising taxes.” You explained.

“Quaid?” Wooyoung spoke up. “The judge is named Quaid? Thomas?” He asked.

“Yeah.” You answered. “He was the one who signed mine and Yeosang's marriage certificate.”

“I knew he looked familiar.” The boy snapped his fingers, nodding his head as he thought back to the day you got married.

“You know him?” Hongjoong questioned.

“He goes to a lot of underground fighting.” Wooyoung told him. “Well used to. He made bets on people and would take the money back to Jo.”

Your eyebrows furrowed together when Wooyoung mentioned underground fighting. You figured it had to do with their life back in Aurora, but it still left you a bit worried. All Wooyoung did was add questions to the list.

“Not anymore it seems.” Yeosang said.

Quaid had clearly stopped placing bets on fighters to get money and moved onto a better form of income. Something must have happened back in the big city. But whatever it was, it seemed he was still trying to support the cult.

Gambling was no secret here in Cromer, but for someone like Klein, it might as well be criminal activity. While you had never personally met the man, you knew people were proud of him because he would take into account what everyone needed and wanted. Both the rich and the poor found ways to appreciate him.

“Klein grew up here in Cromer in the slums.” You started. “He has been one of the greatest mayors this town has ever seen. But ever since Quaid came up, things went downhill for him. He turned into a recluse and only seems to make demands and agreements from within his office.”

“If I know Quaid, the man is a manipulative bitch. He must have Klein wrapped around his finger.” Wooyoung told you.

You didn’t think evidence of the cult would be found within Klein’s office, but there could be things tying him to it. Quaid on the other hand probably had journals and stacks of files dedicated to the entire thing. Either way, you thought it would be best to enter both of their homes in order to have something to blackmail.

If it came down to it, the only one you would probably blackmail was Klein. Quaid was another story. He had no ties to the town–aside from being the county judge–he could easily skip town and not think twice about the people. They were opposite people who cared about opposite things. Klein was just too nice of a man to not fall into the temptations of sweet talk.

“So who's where?” Yunho asked.

“Groups of three.” You told them. “Three go to Quaid's home. Three to Klein's. And three to city hall–obviously at different times.” Some of them looked at you with wide eyes, while others nodded their heads with your idea.

“Three?” Jongho questioned. “Who are these three? There's 8 of us.”

“You're going to tell me I can't go?” You turned to the man, looking at him pointedly.

“It's dangerous-”

“I know Cromer much better than any of you. I know the people.” You cut Yunho off.

“Doll-” Mingi tried to calm you down.

“Princess goes.” Hongjoong stopped them all. “However, you're going with the team who's getting the horde.”

You nodded your head when he gave you a harsh look. Hongjoong was not going to allow you to argue with his plans over where you went, and you were not going to put yourself in that position. You respected his wishes, just like all the others. Though, you can’t lie and say you didn’t want to disobey him just a bit–only to see what would happen.

“That team will go at night when everyone's asleep. The others will have to do it when Quaid and Klein are out of their houses.” Hongjoong continued.

“Who's going where?” San asked.

“If Quaid is involved with the cult like you said, I wouldn’t put it behind him to have a bit more security on his things compared to Klein.” You started. “Whoever has the best ability at fighting should go there. Klein isn’t going to have much compared to him but the risk of going at night while he’s asleep, so that team is fit to go at the same time as Quaid’s.”

“That way–and I am begging you get out there–the police only have the chance of going to one house at a time.” You looked up when they all stayed quiet.

“What?” You blushed.

“You trying to take the captain's spot?” Seonghwa teased, elbowing the shorter man in his rib.

“At least she knows how to plan, unlike half of all of you.” Hongjoong rolled his eyes, scoffing.

The boys all began to protest, crying over who was able to come up with better plans than another. You laughed at how they turned unserious in a matter of seconds. It made all the worry about the whole thing go away for just a moment.

“I don’t think I’d find as much pleasure as Hongjoong with being called Captain.” You teased, causing all the boys to laugh at the blue haired man who turned away.

“Anyways.” Hongjoong cleared his throat. “Yunho, take Jongho and San to Quaid's house.” He began. “You three are the most experienced when it comes to fighting, just in case he has guards. Seonghwa, me and Mingi will go to Klein's home.”

“Wooyoung, Yeosang and Princess can take the horde from city hall. We'll wait outside for the loot and disperse it as soon as possible.” He looked up. “City hall heist should go down first, that way the following day everyone will be too busy trying to figure out what happened with all the money. Quaid and Klein will be too busy to be at home, which will be perfect for us to go into their homes then.”

“We’ll be look-outs.” You told Hongjoong, getting a nod from the man.

“Everyone okay with that?” When the captain got nods and agreements from everyone, he turned to you. “Princess?”

Everyone waited for your response. You gave them a grin.

“Whenever you give the order.”

canine is a multi - page single muse ( and base account friendly !!! ) carrd template, that includes a graphic pack optimized for the carrd !! canine includes pages for guidelines, bio, and connections ; the pack includes all graphics seen in the carrd. the graphics are very easy to edit PSD files that include my own PSD coloring. carrd demo is in the source. this is a pay what you can template and operates through ko-fi !!! you can pick up the carrd template here and the graphics pack here. important info under the cut — read before editing.

THE CARRD :

the graphics pack is not at all required for the template, but i highly recommend using the gradient header at the least.

the carrd is base account friendly ; you do not need an account upgrade to use it.

if you want to buy the template directly from my carrd storefront without going through ko-fi, you can do that here.

keep my credit in the navigation or DIE at my sword.

THE GRAPHIX :

the graphics pack is only available through ko-fi.

the pack is also pay what you can btw, and includes one of my PSD colorings.

once you enter an amount you'd like to pay ( or nothing at all ), you will receive a link to a google drive folder. from there, you can download all the assets, or pick and choose. again, i recommend using the header template at the very least.

BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THESE FONTS : zamruds + aurora. you will not be able to edit the graphics without these, but you can also replace the fonts if you'd like.

if you choose to use any of the graphics from the pack elsewhere ( mobile header, pfp, a diff carrd, etc ) please still mf credit me.

To combat the high rate of death among slaves, plantation owners demanded females start having children at 13.

By 20, the enslaved women would be expected to have about five children.

An enslaved woman was a sex tool beneath the level of moral considerations.

She was an economic good, useful, in addition to her menial labor, for breeding more slaves. To attain that purpose, the master mated her promiscuously according to his breeding plans.

The Master ,his son(s) and other members of his family took turns with her to increase the family's fortune & to satisfy his extramarital sexual desires. Guests and neighbors were also invited to this luxury.

As an inducement, plantation owners promised freedom for enslaved female once she bore 15 kids

Also The brutal enslavers also castrated Black males and use black females for gynecological research all while not providing them with anesthesia.

J. Marion Sims “the father of modern gynecology” purchased Black women slaves and used them as guinea pigs for his untested surgical experiments.

He repeatedly performed genital surgery on Black women WITHOUT ANESTHESIA because according to him, "Black women don't feel pain.”

Anarcha, one of those women, was an African-American slave woman who was forced to regularly undergo surgical experiments while positioned on Sims' table, squatting on all fours and FULLY AWAKE without the comfort of ANY anesthesia.

It would be more than appropriate to credit Anarcha, along with other nameless slave women, as the "MOTHERS OF GYNECOLOGY"

Slave masters also had sex farms where they would rape black men, women, and children. The raping of Black men was called buck breaking. Marriages among the African slaves were also not recognized by their white enslavers.

Ugh so. I last got new glasses somewhere around November/December 2021. Very shortly after, a little over a year ago, I literally fell straight on my face and the glasses bent severely - a technician or whatever they're called was able to get it more or less fine, but not exactly perfect, and it's always bothered me since (specifically above my left ear, where the frame presses against my skull, causing persistent pain). However, since glasses are super fucking expensive, I didn't buy new ones. Recently this prescription has also started giving me headaches, clearly indicating it is time for a new one. But I straight up cannot afford new glasses rn. I've discovered my insurance will subsidize a decent amount of the cost of a new pair at one specific store that is convenient for me anyway, but not enough to genuinely make a new pair affordable. So I'm just. Using my glasses less and less. Taking them off almost the moment I get home and using my phone super close to my face, which is terrible for my eyes but at least doesn't make my head hurt. I've also had a persistent migraine problem after a several month break from migraines - it's probably caused by recent high amounts of stress, such as the money troubles I've had over the last couple of months, but I don't think the glasses are helping.

Basically what I'm asking for here is... Money. There's a ko-fi linked in my linktree in my bio. Here's the thing - while I'd appreciate money for free, literally anything will help, I'm also absolutely willing to do commissions. I can write you poetry, a short fic for any fandom I'm familiar with (to be discussed on a case by case basis), hell I'll edit your school paper as long as it's in an area I have any knowledge on (or at least check it for typos). My DMs are open and you can feel free to send me a message once you've donated and we'll discuss. Commissions will get priority over my current wips, with the exception of the spider gwen fic which is supposed to be a reward for the blorbo bracket.

There is a target goal up on my ko-fi page of 350, but even if I get nowhere near that, I will take anything with me to get a new pair, probably in late June. It's just become unbearable.

I would, of course, appreciate a signal boost, although I don't want anybody to feel obligated. Please understand that you will see this post several times over the next few weeks, tho. Love y'all.

1. First come, first served kinda deal? Whichever ideas appease the inspiration gods the most?

2. Are the prices still gonna match with what's linked on your bio or are you planning on making changes to those??

3. In the same vein of topic, do you have any sort of price minimum or maximum? Or anything else that isn't already on that page that might affect pricing?

4. Are you gonna be accepting them through tumblr? Patreon? Ko-fi? Email? Some mix of the four?

Thank you for this! All the info on my commissions can be found on the Ko-fi listing (which I should have shared earlier so people who haven't had a commission from me in the past can peruse it!). It seems to have worked perfectly for previous rounds, even though there are other ways of going about it...

first come first served, but with so much interest (thank you!!), I'll definitely set a date and time when they'll open, which I'll share on here and put in my pinned post so people know in advance. No planned date yet (need to get my shit in order first!).

minimum is £5 for a 500 word story, up to £50 for a 5000 word story. I'm not writing more than that this time, otherwise it's an overwhelming amount of work.

accepting only through the ko-fi listing, and once this round has sold out, that's it. One purchase per person too, please.

The only thing that will change is that the stories will be posted for free on Patreon instead of on Tumblr, since I'm not sharing new work on Tumblr anymore due to the whole AI scraping thing. You will not have to pay to access these commissions on Patreon though, and they won't go up on early release or anything. They'll just go straight up, for free.

I should really change the commissions info page here on Tumblr to reflect the new setup, so thanks for the reminder! Hope that answers your questions, but if not, feel free to drop by again!

Payment is done in US dollars, through paypal or Ko-fi. I am flexible in terms of payment, with 100% of the commission amount paid upfront, 50% upfront-50% once completed, or discuss multiple payment plans on a case by case basis. I am unable to provide refunds at this current time, so please keep this in mind.

Once the commission is paid for, I cannot do any refunds

I’ll only accept upfront Paypal payments through Paypal invoices, or my Ko-fi commissions page. Do NOT send me money independently. After receiving payment I will start on your commission

I reserve the rights to use/display your commission on a portfolio, artist website, and social media. However, if you wish to keep your commission private, please let me know ahead of time.

Turn around times vary between 3 weeks to 2 months, depending on complexity of the artwork requested.

I will give periodical updates at each step of the process (sketch, line art, flat colors, full rendered and email finished piece).

Sketching usually takes a week once payment has been received. I will contact you to approve the initial sketch. Clients can make 1 major change at this stage, before being charged an additional $5 per change afterwards. This will be added to the total price.

I will send the finished product through an email address of your choice.

I reserve the right to decline any commission I am not comfortable working on, for any reason.

My Art cannot be used to train AI or make NFTs.

You may NOT claim my work as your own, trace, recolor/redraw, or redistribute my work for profit.

You may NOT use or repost someone else’s commission piece without my and the buyer’s permission. If you receive permission, you must use/post with credit

Your commission piece is NOT for commercial use. This is for personal use only.

If you are the buyer, you may post the finished commission whenever you want but please credit properly, or share it from my social media accounts.

If the commission is a gift for someone else, you are allowed to share the piece with the receiving party. (PST! Let me know what they think too!)

I can accept requests if you don’t have the adequate visual reference of your/the character that you want me to draw. Do your best to communicate effectively and I will meet you halfway. I will ask a lot of questions to better understand your request.

Picrew/ Character creator images (for ocs) are accepted, as long as you have another actual reference to pair it with: i.e. using the picrew to outline an outfit you want, or a change in hair/eye color. I will accept a Picrew/Character creator image if it's exactly what you want.

A very easy workaround to not being able to ask for money on AO3 is to link to a carrd with all your info on it - where you can be found on other social media, a bio page, a page with some fandom shenanigans like what ships you like and what character you stan, etc. - and put a link to a ko-fi on the other social media accounts, not on the carrd itself or AO3. It's not begging people for money, it's making note of one place where you are located in a list of them. People are not interested in paying you will not click on it, but they may end up following you on other social media and end up growing your online presence until someone comes along that will. And technically no one can prove you were paid for writing fanfic; for all the law knows, you were paid for your curated artisanal cat memes on Twitter or for your Instagram infographics about shipping data (shoutout to people who do that, seeing the pie chart breakdowns fascinate me) or any other number of things.

Also it's a good way to make fandom friends. People who are into the same fandoms as you see your sense of humor and personality/vibes on other sites and sometimes reach out to say hi, and then you end up chatting. It's a good way to find your fellow dorks (I say as a total dork). I've never done a carrd with a ko-fi link but I've benefited from it a lot. Sometimes you get really nice people reaching out with fanart inspired by the fic or with song recommendations that go with your fic, which is how I found my favorite band, which is how I ended up going to one of their shows, which is where I met my wife.

You can get a lot of cool benefits from fandom, you just have to interact with it in a way that's more mature than "gimme money". Respecting the rules of a place is just basic etiquette.

Also I'm autistic and for what it's worth your tone didn't read as condescending to/looking down on people, it read as "what part of 'this could get the archive shutdown' didn't you understand?!" which is a valid frustration to have given this debate happens again and again despite the explanations being perfectly clear the first time.
