hello. everyone avert your eyes as i go into overthinking mode. idk. something rlly fucks me up abt the way sol quietly and resigned goes "but this isnt really you" and "okay" (at like 38 min 45 seconds or somethign. and then when they attack him sol has the alert feat and cant be surprised. hes not surprised. is it even a betrayal if you knew this was the way it had to go down. sol sees two versions of swag in his challenge room and is already steeling himself for what he has to do. anyway. obviously this is very small and insignificant . BUT. idk. with these themes of hope & potential vs denial & refusal vs acceptance & resignation. man it fucks me up okay. sol started out being so naive and openly trusting. now sols just mad at the world.

Hobby Ideas

I am thinking about trying out new hobbies. I remember as a kid I used to crochet and knit. I was in elementary school and a couple of girls and I were really into it. We were even knitting and crocheting while in class and some of the teachers had to take them away from us until our free periods. It was so much fun! I haven’t tried it in over 20 years! My friend just sent me two yarns and a crochet stick thing and I’m so excited to get back into it! Maybe I can make my cat a sweater, that would be so cute.

I also want to get into baking more often. I’ll definitely should see if I can make some things without so much sugar.

Decorating has to be on my list! I still need to decorate my place and make it my space. I don’t know I’ve so lazy about it. I have a Pinterest board on how I would like my space to look like.

This year, my Make 9 includes some failures from last year's Make 9, some WIPs, and some projects that need alterations -- alongside the traditional new projects. I love all these works that have been abandoned or forgotten or neglected, and so part of my goal for this year is to give them new life.

I don't know that I'll get to everything, but these are the projects I'd love to get done in 2024.

Tough Love Sock in Sunset Spice (Sweetgeorgia): intended for a knit sweater design

Throttle Moto Jacket in handspun (p: we pull apart the dark): finish spinning yarn and knitting the jacket

Handspun (p: swirling solar winds): intended for a crochet shawl design

Hand-dyed color samples (p: do you love the color of the sky): working on color-matching and then spinning and knitting

Dyed in the Wool in Dear Diary (Spincycle): intended for a crochet headband design

Tough Love Sock in Magician (Sweetgeorgia): intended for a knit pullover design

Pelagia (Borgo de' Pazzi): intended for a knit tee design

Varjo by Anna Johanna (p: we have cookies): sleeves need to be frogged and reknit for a looser fit

gonna do a fun new thing called Limiting Screen Time <3 not really but like. just giving myself some dedicated time AWAY from computers/phone i think will help with, if nothing else, my god damn sleep schedule which has been in a fuckin disarray for the past few. years.
