How to get your life together : a guide
Tumblr media
1) Make a list of goals you want to achieve, if you don’t you’re going to forget about them. It could be yearly goals, it could be monthly goals or both (even better). Just write them down and put them somewhere you can see them every day. Also don’t forget about the smart rule :
Specific (simple, sensible, significant).
Measurable (meaningful, motivating).
Achievable (agreed, attainable).
Relevant (reasonable, realistic and resourced, results-based).
Time bound (time-based, time limited, time/cost limited, timely, time-sensitive).
2) Choose habits which will lead your towards your goals. You want to be a the top of your class ? Start by actually completing your homework, assignments and by paying attention in class. You want strong and healthy hair ? Stop using heat every day and start a hair care routine. Yes, it is that simple trust me.
3) Starts adding those habits to your daily life and be realistic. For exemple, if you want to achieve your dream body start exercising and eating healthy. You want to keep those achievable and enjoyable : if you used to never step away from your couch for too long, you are not going to exercise 5 times a week right away. Start small, start with maybe twice a week and then add more when you feel ready.
4) Stop making excuses. You cannot reach your goals if you find excuses to stay home and do nothing such as « I will start on Monday » or « I am a bit tired today so I’ll just rest ». Don’t, if you really are motivated you will start right now and won’t skip your workout. The less you do, the less you wanna do.
5) Remind yourself why you wanna reach those goals and motivate yourself. You cannot solely rely on motivation, you have to create it yourself. Make vision boards of you dream life and ask yourself why you want to get out of your actual situation. If you already feel miserable and lazy in your every day life it won’t hurt to at least try, right ?
6) Enjoy the steps. That one is the most important. If you feel like completing a workout is torture, you will last a week or two tops. If doing your skin care or a daily walk feels boring, you will stop doing it. Try making those interesting by watching a movie or listening a podcast at the same time, find a workout you’re actually able to enjoy.
7) Finally : enjoy your results. If you’ve kept up the work for months, even weeks you will see them. People will start praising you about your hair, your skin… You will be able to see those changes yourself when you look at your body or at your grades. You will also be more confident because when you decide to put in the work and get results, you will be so proud of yourself I can assure you that.

Femme Fatale Guide: How To Manage & Overcome Fear
Ultimately, fear is born out of anxiety over some sort of distrust –whether it's grounded in logic, emotion, perception, past experiences, etc.
Fear arises from an unknown – any new experience, opportunity, failure, relationship, changes in habits/routines, etc. So, ultimately, this fear is your way of coping with not distrusting others to do what you expect or desire and/or not trusting yourself to be able to cope with a certain environment, habit, responsibilities, changes, interpersonal conflict, etc.
To depersonalize fear, recognize that it's an anxious/emotional response to either a reasonable or illogical unknown/uncertainty. Then, I see what my realistic options are on how to handle the situation and proceed with my following actions by answering these questions:
Looking back at this moment in a year's time, what do I wish I would've done?
What red or green flags are my anxieties discounting or telling me to overlook?
How many of my concerns are grounded in reality, and how many are based on assumptions or negative self-talk?
If a friend was handling this situation, how would I proceed?
Once you answer these questions, you're forcing yourself to take the emotions out of the situation and see all of the key players + moving parts more objectively to make a rational decision.
You have to calculate the best possible outcome for yourself, but ultimately, the goal of overcoming fear is to stop holding yourself back from what you want and live without regrets.

Removing toxic habits and refocusing your energy can be so so powerful. We are so used to indulging in unhealthy habits that drain our energy that we forget what it's like to be in tune with our creativity & inspiration. No wonder you don't feel motivated when your entire energy is wasted on doomscrolling or consuming media that is concerned with drama, comparison, and insecurities. Stop, redirect, and focus. Your energy and time is one of the most valuable things at your disposal.

productivity tips that are not talked about enough!
Tumblr media
day blocking instead of time blocking is better if you’re working on multiple goals
if you’re working on multiple projects or you’re in school , work and also working on a side hustle or YouTube/social media career or any other goal/hobby I’ve found that dedicating one whole day to one of those is better than doing everything on the same day.
if I’m studying or engaging in any work I need time to get into the right mode. The quality of my work suffers if I spend only one hour doing something and then moving on to another task. Creative flow cannot be micro managed. If you get to the creative space where you want to film a video you probably still have a lot of inspiration and energy to film multiple videos but let’s say you decide you’re only going to film one video cause you have to spend the rest of the time studying you actually cut your creativity short cause what’s to say you’ll get into the same creative space tomorrow? the same goes for studying and work.
that’s why on the days that I have my corporate job I prefer to spend the rest of the day (when I get off work) tackling the hard tasks such as cleaning, cooking and making my apartment and space positive and clean for the next day so I can focus 100% on just writing and engaging in my hobbies.
minimize the risk of burnout
some days I have ample amount of energy and it feels like I’ll never stop cause working on my creative projects gives me more energy. But it’s important to still dial down and take breaks, eat good food and read a book or watch a movie cause if you overdo it you’ll get to the point where you lose interest in your creative work cause you overdid it.
if you’re like me and you get obsessed and hyper fixed with things and then you lose all interest that’s a good sign of burnout cause as much as we like to engage with our hyper fixations we don’t realize that it drains us even if we thing we’re having fun.
you need to have one day a week where you are allowed to REST and do whatever you want. wether that’s sleeping in or just being on your phone. for me personally since I’m on a dopamine detox I use that day to shower, fix my hair, do my nails, relax and clean the apartment cause that’s what relaxes me, cause I get to listen to an audio book while I do it. Especially if I plan to do something creative the day after I use the day before to tackle all of my need to do / boring tasks.
understand the importance of moving your body
I’m guilty of not getting enough exercise cause I fail to realize the benefits of going to the gym or just going for a walk. the benefit of fitness isn’t just that you get a better looking body but also that you get rid of a lot of trapped energy. lack of movement will lead to frustration and tiredness. moving the body gets rid of the icky energy and stress that accumulates throughout the day while meditation gets rid of mental stress.

If you have a goal:
Do something every single day towards reaching it. Even if it’s 5 min. Thinking about it is not enough.
You have to be committed. Remember that persistence is better than perfection.
Don’t wait ‘till you get it right- it’s the baby steps- the getting it wrong over and over again, the not-giving-up that gets it right aka PERSISTENCE.
The ambition and drive to perform gets you better results than just having the motivation.
You’ve got to get up everyday and do this FOR YOU.
Whatever it is.
Giving up CAN NEVER be an option.
Tell yourself that everyday before performing and I promise that every excuse in your book will become so small it will eventually disappear until you wake up one day living the reality of what once was a goal.
You can have anything you want if you work hard enough and all things if you don’t give up 💋

if you’re struggling to get off your phone, make your phone boring to be on.
the reason most of us are stuck on our phone scrolling for hours is because we are “bored” elsewhere in our life.
so we fill our time by using social media, games and other apps to entertain ourselves when, in fact, a lot of the time we are not fully entertained in the end.
i’m sure you know the sick and drained feeling you get after mindlessly scrolling for three hours straight. if you want it to stop, you need to stop giving into the screen and to stop giving into the screen, you need to take the power away from the screen.
so make your phone boring. delete your apps. time spent on social medias like tiktok, instagram, youtube etc can be reduced significantly just by deleting the app, or by adding an app timer. it’s the same with games or any other apps that are eating up your time and energy and giving nothing in return.
this is bound to be difficult given how greatly we rely on phones and social media. we’re “addicted” but it doesn’t need to stay that way.
so if you want to be on your phone less, my homework for you is to delete an app, any app that you know is a major distraction to you. if it’s too difficult to go cold turkey, then add an app timer and gradually reduce the time limits until you no longer feel like you rely on the app. you can do it!

What have your experiences throughout the first half of 2023 taught you about yourself? How can you leverage these self-discoveries to work towards becoming closer to embodying your ideal self? What habits, people, products, routines, or self-talk practices do you need to add or remove from your life to make these lifestyle changes possible for you?
Feel free to share any insights, accomplishments, or life lessons in the comments, too. Everyone deserves to feel heard and have the chance to celebrate their wins!
