⭑ You and Merlin both work as apprentice healers under Gaius. And although you weren’t born with magic, you’re an avid learner of the arts. 

⭑ When Merlin is away attending to Arthur, you’re usually shadowing Gaius, learning as much as you can about herbs and treatment. 

⭑ One morning, while preparing the tinctures for Gaius’ long day ahead, you heard a loud thump in Merlin’s room. 

  “Is everything alright in there?” You called out, hands picking up vials and sprinkling in rosemary. 

    “Absolutely fine,” came a deep drawl from the doorway. 

⭑ Your heart beat increased instantly. 

⭑ The crush on Gwaine appeared as soon as he winked at you that very morning. His charm worked on you, and yet you knew he was a flirtacious person. He treated many people the same. 

⭑ But you couldn’t help it. He was just so enigmatic. 

⭑ Merlin picked up on it easily; you became a danger to yourself whenever Gwaine was around - dropping things, stuttering, snorting whenever he makes a joke 

⭑ Men always made you feel uncomfortable, but with Gwaine, that wasn’t the case. His smooth talking was calming but he didn’t have any ill intentions. 

⭑ Gwaine appears behind you whenever you’re working on something. His proximity making your focus wane. 

   “What do we have here?” He’d pick up a glass jar, and hold it to the light. His front nearly against your back. 

  “Put that down, you’ll break it,” you quipped. 

“Me? I’m not the one with butter fingers-” 

⭑ Merlin wouldn’t tease you about your feelings for Gwaine. He knew your heart and only teased you when he knew your feelings wouldn’t be hurt. 

⭑ “I think you should tell him,” Merlin stated one night. You were both cleaning up from dinner, Gaius asleep. 

  “Tell who what?” You played innocent. 

“Y/n, you know who I’m talking about,” Merlin stacked the dishes and placed them in a sink. 

“And make myself look like an idiot? Which I already do already-” You shook your head, taking a thick book from the shelf and putting it on the table. 

    “I’m sure he would feel the same. I see the way he looks at you.” 

You perked up, your eyes flicking quickly to Merlin’s. “Has he said anything? Merlin don’t play with me.” 

  ‘I keep secrets, I do not tell them.” 

⭑ This information made you feel fuzzy. Gwaine? Could he really see you the same way you saw him? Positive and negative thoughts fought in your brain all night. 

⭑ The following morning you sat at the table, opposite Merlin. A bowl of porridge was in front of him and he was scoffing it down. 

⭑ “I’m going to do it,” you stated. Trying to be firm in your words, so that your thoughts might follow. 

⭑ “When? Today?” Merlin asked, his eyebrow quirking. 

    “I- yes.”

A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex). You are his queen and will be treated as such. But he requires cuddles as well.

H = Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.) Knight is very intent on his grooming in general. So I guess “well kept” would be the term. 

I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…)  Deeply romantic and ultimately caring.  He needs the romantic aspect for him to be interested much at all. 

J = Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon) Pretty rare when not in a relationship. Weirdly more when he is in a romantic relationship and away from his partner. 

K = Kink (One or more of their kinks)  Breeding. Like very very much so. 

Praise so much praise. He likes to praise his partner and  will melt under praise. 

Cockwarming but not in a teasing way, but wants partner on his lap, face to face.  Many kisses and soft languid touches. 

L = Location (Favorite places to do the do) Preferably a nice bed, mostly for comfort of his partner. Not shy but also not into risking getting caught 

M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)  Romance. No joke set up a candle light dinner for this guy and you are not even going to make it to the table. 

N = NO (Something they wouldn’t do, turn offs) Anything public or painful. Degradation is a massive NO.  

O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc) equally both, be ready for much praise during either. 

P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.) in general slow and sensual usually really intense. However he is very good at watching/listening to cues from his partners and knows exactly when to speed up/go harder. 

Q = Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.). No. Not really.  If his partner really wants to, he won't deny them though.

R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.) Is willing to experiment SOME. He has a list of hard nos.

S = Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last…) this is going to have to call for a smut fic for him, but he currently doesn’t know how many if he pushes himself. Definitely his partner is ready to sleep before he is pushed to the point of being unable to. 

T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?) no in general. Will use a vibe on a partner. Is willing to experiment with toys if partner brings it up.

U = Unfair (how much they like to tease) he is no tease. He doesn’t like to. 

V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make) can be loud, usually isn’t overly so. Mostly talking/praise. 

W = Wild Card (Get a random headcanon for the character of your choice) Loves when his partner wears pretty soft things. Not a fan of lace, too scratchy.  But silk or satin? A soft linen or cotton? (This also goes for regular clothes)

X = X-Ray (Let’s see what’s going on in those pants, picture or words) um… clone trooper? Do we need to cover this? Equally doesn't matter because he has educated himself enough to know that size is less important than technique. Not that he (or any of the guys) are lacking in that department.

Y = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?) middling, can become insatiable for short periods. 

Z = ZZZ (… how quickly they fall asleep afterwards) depending on how his partner is, he prefers to help each other clean up, wrap them in a blanket with tea while he puts fresh sheets on the bed. Then will pretty immediately fall asleep cuddling.  If the partner is more “I need cuddles now” he probably will fall asleep pretty quickly. Cuddling in general makes him fall asleep.

Lovely people! Hello, lovely people! We're back with a double round up and a double set of stats, because peach had no other tasks to procrastinate on last month and so she forgot the round up. Now she's got nothing but other tasks, so full procrastination mode has commenced and here she is!

In September, we got a wonder 54 fills created by 30 beautiful people! 47 were fics, five were artworks, and two were lovely lovely gifs.

Wanna know about ships? Merlin/Arthur was once again top of the list with 26, followed by gen at 14. MOODBOARDS

While looking through Pinterest, I was hit with the sudden idea of floating armour pieces combined with flowing cloth. I thought it’d be a pretty cool idea to do some sort of knight just doing their thing. The idea kinda resonated with me, not just because knights are really cool, but I felt I was kinda like some sort of soldier/knight doing things they’re being told to do; not really sure what I’m doing or where I’m going, just that I’m doing.

The cloth aspect was also something I wanted to be very prevalent, wherein the cloth itself would drape over the entire ‘body’ like a ghost. Like a dead knight not knowing that they’re dead (or maybe they do), and that they’re just going through the motions of what they were taught to do.

Something else which inspired me was the song ‘Soldier, Poet, King’. Though in this case, the soldier would be more like the king. Maybe the soldier tore cities down in their previous life, but now they’ve fallen under the stress of responsibility.

Obviously, I didn’t want the armour to be too detailed, just a general simple blocking of shapes, along with a cape. I was inspired by a bunch of armour on Pinterest, but I always rely on Overwatch for the general modelling artstyle I lean towards. This would give me space to experiment with other effects.

Another point of inspiration was the game Destiny and its Iron Banner armour sets. There’s a set called the Camelot set, which was one of my biggest inspirations idea-wise, since the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table tend to be associated with a sense of duty. I thought the idea was a really nice contrast between lost ghost and diligent knight.

As for the environment, I wanted it to be mainly empty. A black background contrasted with a bright glowing halo in the distance – like an eclipse sunset. This was to provide some form of mood lighting, as well as keep the attention on the moving knight figure. To me, it was like the idea of the sun on its way to rest after a day of hard work, only for its final brilliant moments to be blocked by the moon. As if it put in all that effort, only for it to be blocked at the very last moment.

Or a black hole, representing the futility of the knight’s actions in the eternal space.
