Doctor Who Femslash Drabble Exchange

Welcome to the Doctor Who Femslash Drabble Exchange! It is, as the name suggests, a drabble exchange for Doctor Who Femslash and its related fandoms.

Have you ever wanted to write a fic about Martha and Donna having fun in TARDIS without the Doctor? Or Amy meeting classic companion Jo Grant? Then this is the exchange for you!

A drabble is exactly 100 words, but this exchange also allows double drabbles (200 words) and triple drabbles (300 words).

This Ship Sunday we are featuring Janeway/Seven from Star Trek: Voyager.

Captain Kathryn Janeway is a captain of a starship in a universe far from Earth; Seven of Nine is rescued from the invasive alien species the Borg. Their relationship is adversarial at first, but it grows into a strong mentor-mentee relationship as Janeway helps Seven in her quest to find her humanity. Fans are drawn to their relationship because they challenge each other to examine their assumptions and to live up to each other's values. Their relationship has inspired fans to write novel-length fanfiction, be they AUs or canon compliant.

This Wank Wednesday we are focusing on The SekWester*Con Porn Debate, the controversial display and discussion of "erotic" fanworks.

In 1977 at SeKWester*Con, Too, a Star Trek convention, there were two panels that openly discussed fanworks featuring homoerotic sex. Plus, there was also the open sale of fanzines that included "erotic" art. This caused a great deal of discourse at the convention itself and in the weeks after. This ultimately lead to a rise in the use of age statements, a document or affirmation stating that a person is legally an adult in their state/country, in hopes of keeping explicit content out of the hands of minors.
