Hey look it’s demon Judas. I wanted to give him an extra spooky and corpse-like look, even when you can’t see his guts hanging out. There’s a reason for that, actually

Hi welcome to Christian Studies class. There’s two accounts of Judas dying in the Bible. One account states that he hung himself after turning Jesus in, dying by the branch of a tree in a garden. The other, less believed account is that he fell in a garden/field and his stomach burst open. But there’s a good theory that says, “Why not both?” Judas most probably hung himself, and his body was left out for a few days on end, collecting gas and pressure build-up. When Judas “fell,” he wasn’t alive, but rather long-dead. When his body hit the ground, the buildup burst from his stomach and spilled his guts. Hence why we have two accounts of his death.

I liked the third option and implemented it into AHOS. What isn’t shown is the type of punishment that Hell would have had for Judas. Certain biblical figures, like Judas and Cain, are kept in a separate layer of Hell where they suffer through their own personal punishment. Judas’ would have been an eternity of hanging from his own intestines, because we have to keep the edge in this house somehow. (You’ll see Cain’s punishment later on)

i really really like panivi's work ! they have some really good animation memes/pmvs of their characters. the animation memes that have a story that is being told through it are my favorite.

thinkin about one of my throwaway ocs that i actually really like so i’m gonna chatter a bit (A LOT) about him thanks and ur welcome

his name is gabriel and he’s a monkey anthro lmao and he lives in a world where humans and furries coexist. (it’s been a hot minute, but i’m pretty sure his inspiration originates from kipkune’s “close up” animation meme on youtube. they draw their ocs so charmingly i was just so taken with it)

and like... when he was an infant, he was gonna be a sacrifice for this religious group who wanted to awaken an all-powerful demon-god who’s been in slumber for... thousands of years? or something? and they were like halfway through the ritual when the demon-god awoke and was like “yo. you’re gonna kill a baby? what the fuck.” and proceeded to slaughter all of them!

except gabriel, who was an infant.

(some facts about the demon-god: it used to be like a pretty ruthless force—not necessarily evil, but definitely not good? idk—but the Thousand Year Nap gave it time to chill out and gain a new perspective and whatever, because it like... absorbed peoples dreams and whatever. idk! don’t ask questions)

anyways so this demon-god is like “well shit i can’t just leave this infant here, but if i don’t bind myself to SOMEONE then i’m gonna get severed from this realm Pretty Quick, and the only living being here to bind with is an INFANT”. cuz the thousand year nap left it pretty depleted of energy, so it couldn’t maintain the “doorway” for too long without a completed ritual. it weighed the pros and cons and decided it wasn’t really up for leaving some kid to just... die.

so it binds itself with gabriel and then takes him to like three towns over and then leaves him at some doorstep of a human couple. he tried to sever his connection with gabriel after that, but he couldn’t! it’s a permanent binding and a weak demon-god can’t really shatter that connection w/o probably harming the kid so it’s like “welp” and just hides itself inside of him

kid gets taken in by the human couple and raised by them and secretly by the demon-god, who keeps itself hidden from the parents and the whole village because like... discovering ur neighbor’s random doorstep kid is bound by a demon would probably make u uncomfortable, u know? or whatever

gabriel is aware of the demon-god, ofc, and names it “halsey” because it doesn’t really have a name, so halsey is like “hell yeah now i’m halsey and i got my bff best friends forever gabriel at my side and shits neat”

halsey grows in power over the years, to the point where it could probably sever the connection between itself and gabriel, but it’s like... kind of sort of his older brother figure almost??? like

idk the thousand year nap stripped a lot of the Ancient Age vibes from halsey so being awoken and bound to gabe gave it a sort of.... rebirth, i suppose. it still has its memories of its past life and it’s still like a bajillion years old, but there’s a sort of barrier between its past and its present and halsey doesn’t have much interest in breaking that. it’s perfectly content with being reborn as a companion to some regular monkey furry kid.

anyway so they grow up together—”grow up” being different when applied to halsey, but whatever—and when gabriel is 15 he moves out to go live in a clearing very close to the edge of the woods so he can do Magic and live in comfortable isolation and explore his cool demon powers

he specializes in healing teas/potions and in growing plants and making salves. uh. he’s very sweet and good-hearted and gives his salves and potions and teas away for free and really cheap or like.... unfair-to-him trades because he’s got pretty much all he needs and whatever. halsey likes to help. it’s cool
