kim sunoo
sweet, sunshine, best friend kim sunoo
it was kind of SO obvious he wanted to be friends
like he wants to be close to you soooo bad and maybe it’s bc he saw u playfully bullying riki
it was love at first sight and an instant best friendship the moment you finally met
your seats were assigned so u were sat next to each other
THANK GOD U WERE
you two are basically inseparable now
sunoo strikes me as the type to just walk into the classroom and walk straight towards where you’re seated
at school events, he’d leave his backpack on the seat next to him to reserve you a seat
then he’d go “(name)!” while waving from his seat it’s actually kind of embarrassing
there is never anxiety of being seated next to a stranger bc sunoo has your back
he’d grab an extra mini fan from his bag to give to U bc these school events r always so scorching hot
sunoo does that “leaning against your locker while you get things” thing
he is so unaware of how HANDSOME he looks
oh and btw if you don’t attend class, he probably won’t in solidarity
in the chances that he does attend class, he usually sends you photos of his notes and everything you need to know
he’d be like i’m soooooo bored 2 minutes into the class without you like it hasn’t even STARTED
just prepare for his spam messages
after class, you’d buy street food and just gossip over it
you’d stare at what he bought and he’d roll his eyes before pushing the stick towards you so you can bite off it
YES feeding each other … normal best friend things
anyways moving on
another thing in my vision is that he’s the provider of art materials
the teacher suddenly lets you make a poster????
you know you’re secured bc sunoo is ur bff and will let only YOU borrow his supplies
“sunoo, let me borrow your colored markers”
“ok, which colors do you want” ☺️☺️☺️☺️
flat out will say no to everyone else tho
he’s kind of intimidating honestly despite having the sweetest smile
LIKE he’s friends with everyone but not friends friends
do you guys get what i mean
he is just a completely different person with you bc he trusts u the most and he just becomes CRAZY
like yall let him keep his crazy too much .. thank god you’re there for him to unleash it to
he’s one of the people who plays volleyball with riki and friends
but he’s absolutely horrible please save him
altho … why does he look so handsome playing even tho he can’t receive the ball? 🤨
he’d just laugh and crumble in embarrassment and you’d be the number one person cheering for him
(update after ella’s rb,, full credits to her) u would def put the blame on his teammates
“RIKI DO BETTER” even if it was 100% sunoo’s fault like so real
weird specific love language? buying each other water
he’s playing volleyball? you have a bottle of water for him in case he wants to sit out the game and watch with you
you’re finished with your physical education practical exam? he’s waiting for you with his big ass water jug
BUT LIKEEEE why is there a change in the air suddenly 😩😩😩
why is your best friend so boyfriend material actually
he holds your hand… holds it so firmly
sunoo gives the best hugs too
he makes you laugh and he’s so thoughtful with his stupid water and his art materials
even carries your things for you sometimes
AND yall take good photos of each other
“does my hair look fine?”
he’d reach out to fix it … tuck it behind your ear or look at you so intensely before going back to smiling n saying yup all good!
during the sports festival, yall are off joining some type of singing jingle cheer competition which is usually the first event
so you guys just joke around for the rest of the week, watch some events, and take LOTS of photos
you would laugh at your classmates
maybe even cheer for some of your friends
just as long as you’re next to each other
you probably bad mouth the opposite team BUT TO YOURSELVES .. not out loud
would clap so hard when your team wins a point !!!
also back to the taking photos detail
he’d just be dragging you everywhere to take photos bc when is the best time but NOW
ofc u do take his photos .. u ltrly take the Best
“sunoo, look, you’re so handsome here!”
and then you look up at him to see his reaction and he’s already looking at you
uh oh.
your faces are so close to each other like SO close
let’s step back and check the label 😂
BEST FRIENDS !!!!!
tho he does save u out of ur misery by asking you out a week later
bc apparently the sudden shift in air also happened to HIM
he brings it up as a joke first bc he’s testing the waters and he’s not trynna get rejected
“imagine if we were dating…..” and a long lingering pause in the air afterward
if you joked back with like a “LOL”, he’d know u don’t feel the same
but you ltrly go 😮 and so speechless bc why is he suddenly bringing this up when you’ve spent the last few nights thinking about him
did those tiktok manifestations work
did that tiktok audio actually get sunoo to like u back
“um… well! well, you see…”
“i like you”
“THANK GOD”
you guys are like waaaaay more inseparable now that you’re dating
your friends will fake vomit around u .. but don’t worry it’s just bc they’re bitchless
while u and ur bf sunoo are happily in love
btw he gets jealous easily TEARSSSSSS
he gets all pouty but don’t worry, you just have to Hug him and give him a kiss and he’s all smiles again
oh, and i feel the need to inform you that hugs are his favorite thing in the world
and CHEEK kisses like specifically cheek kisses.. he loves them
his ideal dates r just when you’re at each other’s house
you can order takeout and do your skincare together … watch the latest movies
his family loves you too
so much that they include your favorite snacks when they go grocery shopping
“sunoo, get those chips that (name) rly likes. u dont know when she might come over next!”
like they are ANTICIPATING you
enjoy dating i love sunoo

lucky girl | kim sunoo
synopsis ; sure, you're already well known as enhypen member kim sunoo's girlfriend, but that doesn't hinder the thrill of tossing a coin and landing on heads when sunoo chooses you, in the midst of the crowd.
pairing ; idol!kimsunoo x gf!reader genre ; fluff, established rs wc ; 530 notes ; for @lilacnini and @nishions polaroid memories event ੈ♡˳
Tumblr media
The hashtag, ‘#ENHYPENSUNOO’ is trending again.
Or rather, what with all the recent concerts, fancalls and fansigns, all you’re seeing on your for you page are clips of your boyfriend interacting with his fangirls. How many times have you seen the caption, ‘Sunoo noticed me!’, or watched a video of Sunoo briefly interlocking fingers with another girl? You are always coming across concert videos with a shaking camera pointed towards Sunoo, who points their way with a warm smile and hand heart.
You quickly look up from your phone to cross the road, slowly growing tired of the repetitive posts you’re viewing.
But you’re pretty much used to it. Some of Sunoo’s fans have asked you whether or not you get jealous often, and you can safely (and honestly) say that you don’t. They look at you disbelievingly, but don’t question you further. They just slink back into the crowd, desperate for a glimpse of their idol.
You can’t blame them for being curious.
What you don’t ask them, however, even though you’re sorely tempted to, is, ‘why would I ever feel jealous?’ What’s there to be jealous about when Sunoo gives you morning kisses that only you receive? Why would you be overcome with envy seeing lame high-fives when you’re getting daily welcome-home hugs?
Don’t you get the best treatment out of all of them? Even though sometimes you do wish you could have the same memory, a moment you'll be able to cherish in your mind forever.
You run towards where the crowd congregates, screams and whistles for all the members arising from the hundreds of fans. A few brightly coloured heads at the edge of the crowd helps you distinguish where the members are. Rushing forward with only one purpose (to greet all the members, not just Sunoo, of course!), you squeeze past all the people. You don’t bother to wave towards all the fans who recognise you.
“Kim Sunoo!” You scream, probably blending in with all his fangirls when you reach the barricade and lean against it. You whip your phone out to capture this moment, whether he notices you or not, because all you want is to have your very own video to post, to caption with the tag “‘Kim Sunoo noticed me!”
He’s busy on the other side of the street, forming hand-hearts with dazed teenagers and waving cheerily at their general crowd. You’re starting to lose hope in him even seeing you, but when he turns around to check in on your side of the road, his eyes sparkle when they meet yours. He pretends not to act pleasantly surprised when you beckon him over.
“My girl,” he whispers happily, ignoring the collective gasp from everyone around you as he pulls you in and kisses your cheek. Heart starting to race, your cheeks grow warm where he kissed you, and you can’t help but gaze starstruck after him as he walks off, giggling teasingly your way.
And you capture it all on camera – granted, it’s most likely angled awkwardly towards the ground – but at least now you can caption a post with ‘My boyfriend noticed me!’. A beautiful, lasting memory that’s purely yours.

impress him
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: kindergarten teacher!sunoo x kindergarten teacher!y/n (she/her)
summary: Having a crush isn’t easy, especially when he has a naturally flirty personality. But luckily you have friend that has a great plan on how to impress your crush and get him to like you back.
words: 6.7k
story color: dark orange
warnings: mention of dead parents (very short and quick tho)
note: a little cute story for you :) I’m actually quite happy with how it turned out and I hope you like it too!!!!
masterlist of ‘enhypen as jobs’
Sunoo.
You can’t remember when or how you developed a crush on him. It all happened quickly, like a train passing by on a rainy day. With one blink of your eyes, one beat of your heart, one breath in your lungs, suddenly all you could think about was him. Night and day, first thing when you wake up in the morning and last thing when you fall asleep late at night. Your mind is filled with him, his smile, his laugh, his eyes, his mouth.
And watching him right now sitting at a table with two of your other colleagues, laughing and talking, drives a knife right through your heart, twists it and leaves you bleeding.
Sunoo has always had a flirty personality, compliments flying left and right when you spend time with him. It’s part of him to wink at everyone after saying yet another flirty comment, or placing his hand on peoples’ shoulders when he laughs. And you know he never means it serious. That’s just the way he is, the way he always has been. But it bothers you, because you don’t know what it means when he does those things with you. You don’t know if he sees you as just a friend, or more. You don’t even know if he could ever consider you as anything more than what you already are.
“Maybe you should stop staring at him because it’s slowly getting creepy.”, Jungwon, another one of your colleagues and your closest friends, says with a teasing grin on his face. He knows about your crush, because while you succeed in hiding it from Sunoo, everyone else in your life has guessed it after just spending a few hours with you. “I still don’t get why you don’t just go and confess to him.”
“Because…”, you answer, a sigh escaping your lips as you divert your gaze away from your crush and look at your friend instead. “The possibility of him rejecting me is pretty high. And we work together, every single day. I don’t want it to get awkward or make him feel uncomfortable.”
“Did you ever think about the possibility of him returning your feelings?” A laugh bubbles out of your throat after your friends’ question. Of course, you have. You have thought about Sunoo liking you back, but you quickly threw those thoughts away. Never has he shown any signs of feeling the same thing. He has always treated you the way he treats everyone else as well, there is nothing special there. And yet you still get your hopes up every single time he looks at you.
“Yeah, no. Jungwon I don’t think he likes me back.” Your friend blows out a breath before taking his phone out, typing furiously. “What are you doing?”
“I am searching for something.” A few seconds pass with your friends’ eyes skipping over his phone, typing every now and then before scrolling again. You wait patiently, stabbing at the food on your plate every now and then, eyes drifting to a certain someone more times than you want to admit. It’s hard not to look at him, to get engrossed with him. He is so captivating, his beauty lighting up the whole room. He has a presence that shines brighter than the sun. “There you go.”
Jungwon lays his phone down on the table, turning it around so you can see the things he has typed down in his notes. “How to impress your crush. Really, Jungwon? This is what you wrote down for the past few minutes?”
“This is a good plan, Y/n. You want Sunoo to like you, don’t you?” You nod your head carefully, eyes flickering to said boy just to see him already looking at you. He shows you one of his bright smiles, before looking at the people sitting at his table again. “Then just follow these steps and I promise you, by the end of the month Sunoo is going to be madly in love with you.”
1. Learn your crushes interests
Breathe in, breathe out, you repeat to yourself as you enter the kindergarten you work in. Just breathe and everything will be alright. But as soon as you see Sunoo sitting at a table with two children, your mind already begins to panic again. Seeing Sunoo with little kids has never been easy to you, melting at the gentle way he was playing with them. The children look up to him, idolize him, obsess over him. You get them, honestly, because you aren’t any different.
Jungwon and you spent the last two days gathering information on Sunoos interests, thinking of any possible way of engaging in those interests, figuring out how to approach him without being too obvious.
Upon seeing you, a bright smile appears on the boy’s face. Sunoo makes a move to stand up, to greet you, but the small child in front of him pulls him down again, complaining about not being done playing the game with him. You just show him an understanding smile, before putting your things down and starting to prepare breakfast for the kids.
“You need help with that?”, you hear a voice behind you, startling you out of your thoughts. You look up to see Sunoo standing beside you, gentle smile on his face.
“Oh, yeah, sure. You can cut the carrots if you want to.” He nods happily, grabbing a knife and doing your assignments immediately. Your gaze shifts to him every now and then, your head spinning with possible topics to start a conversation between the two of you. But every time you open your mouth to say something, your body stops you and you end up biting the words on your tongue.
“You look really tired today.”, Sunoo says, breaking the silence between the two of you. “I don’t mean that in a mean way, you still look beautiful, Y/n. I just want to ask if everything’s okay?”
Your cheeks turn into a faded shade of crimson, and you have to tell yourself to keep calm, before answering his question. “Yeah, uhm, I’m fine. I just stayed up the whole night watching a K-Drama and didn’t get much sleep.”
“A K-Drama?” A gasp escapes the boys’ lips, and his wide eyes look excitedly into yours. You smile at him, mimicking his excitement. “I love K-Dramas. I always watch them; I mean there is not a day going by where I am not watching one. What did you watch yesterday?”
“I finished watching 21st century girl.” Another gasp leaves Sunoos’ lips and you can’t help the chuckle that escapes you this time, enjoying his reactions.
“How did you like it? I cried my eyes out when I first watched it. I mean, I always cry whenever I watch it.”
“Yeah, I cried too. That’s another reason why I couldn’t sleep last night. I just kept on thinking about it and whenever I did the tears just streamed down my face. I couldn’t even stop it anymore.” Sunoo laughs slightly, nodding his head at your words.
“Yeah, I get what you mean. I’ve been there too. Do you watch a lot of K-Dramas or is it something you recently started doing?” A bright smile lights up your face. He is asking you questions about yourself. He is actually showing interest in you. Maybe Jungwons’ plan wasn’t so bad after all.
“Honestly, I just started getting into it. I’m currently trying to get through all the ones available on Netflix and I am honestly starting to get obsessed. Like what are they putting into those shows to make them so addicting?”
“Yeah, right? It’s like once you started watching K-Dramas, you can’t escape them anymore.” Sunoo turns his body to you after cutting the last carrot, hip leaning against the counter. “If you want to, I can make you a list with good ones to watch. I think I am an expert at this point, judging by the number of dramas I watched so far.”
“Oh, yeah that would be so nice of you, Sunoo.”, you tell him honestly. Your eyes meet his for a second, but you can’t face him for a long time. He stands so close to you, eyes not leaving your face for a second. It makes you flustered, lets you feel exposed under his burning gaze. That’s the effect he has on you. It’s easy for him to get you flustered, make you a stuttering self-conscious mess.
“I will get to it as soon as I’m home, I promise.”
-
There is a process between you and Sunoo, it’s small, but it’s there. Every break the two of you sit together, talking about one of the dramas he recommended, gossiping about characters and philosophizing about the deeper meanings, the hidden messages. You laugh, you smile, you grow. But it is still not enough, not enough to confess, and not enough to know if he feels the same about you.
But luckily you overheard a conversation Sunoo had with one of the other colleagues, talking about foods, snacks, desserts. So, it really wasn’t a surprise that you showed up the next day with his favorite ice cream in your back.
“Is that mint chocolate ice cream?” You smile at Sunoos question, seeing that your plan succeeded. You turn around to him, ice cream still in your hand, cocking your head at the boy in front of you.
“Yeah. Why? Do you also like it?”
“Like it? That doesn’t even come close. I love it.” He shows you a bright smile, eyes gleaming like those of a little child in a toy shop. “I didn’t think I would meet another person that likes mint chocolate. Every single one of my friends hates it. They make fun of me all the time for eating it.”
“Doesn’t sound like your friends have taste, because mint chocolate is an amazing flavor.” Sunoo nods in agreement, softly laughing at your statement. “I guess I found myself a new person to share this ice cream with. I can never finish this whole bowl by myself.” Taking out two spoons, you reach your arm out to offer him one of them. He happily takes it, sitting down right beside you, so close you almost forget how to breathe for a few seconds.
“I guess I found myself a new favorite colleague.”
2. Engage in more conversations
You curse under your breath as you read Jungwons’ message telling you the next step of your plan. Until now Sunoo started almost all the conversations with you. It isn’t like you don’t want to talk to him, there is nothing you want more, you just don’t know how. As soon as you stand in front of him, looking into his beautiful eyes, hearing his breathtaking voice, your brain stops working, your mouth loses the ability to form sentences and your breath only comes in rapid hiccups. It’s embarrassing, awkward, humiliating. That’s why you have been avoiding starting any conversation, but there is no way around it anymore. If you really want him to like you, to be intrigued by you, you have to make more first steps. This being the first one.
“Y/n, you came” Sunoo exclaims as he sees you enter the apartment of one of his friends. Two days ago, you found out that Sunoo and Jungwon have a shared friend named Jake, and that said friend just moved into town a few days prior. Jake decided to throw a little party for him and his friends, asking them to invite them their friends as well. Jungwon immediately sent you a text, informing you of the party and asking you to tag along with him. At first you were opposed, not being the type to go to parties or even socialize with anyone that wasn’t in your close friend group, but when Jungwon told you that Sunoo was also going to be there, you immediately agreed to come with him.
“Hey Sunoo.” You ignore Jungwons teasing chuckle behind you at the crack of your voice and show Sunoo a charming smile instead. “You look great.”
“Thank you, Y/n, that’s so nice of you.” Sunoos’ smile turns your stomach around, shakes it and drops it to the floor. Fogginess covers your brain, and you have to blink a few times to make sure you don’t drift back into the awkwardness you adapt as a habit whenever Sunoo speaks to you. “How about I show you around a bit? Jake is busy trying to figure out how to open a Champagne bottle, so we have some time before he will want to meet you.”
You nod at him, smiling brightly, and nervously taking his outstretched hand. You almost forgot Jungwon was still standing behind you, but quickly get reminded as he gives you a small nudge in Sunoos’ direction, making you stumble forward. Giving Jungwon a stern, but yet slightly appreciative look for bringing your back into reality, you follow Sunoo around the apartment. He shows you the bedroom, the bathroom, living room, kitchen and lastly the balcony. It’s where the two of you stop, taking in the view of the bright stars in the night sky.
“I used to always watch the stars with my mom.”, you start speaking, gathering all your nerves before continuing with your story. “My mom was obsessed with stars, their alignments, their meanings. She would tell me about all the constellations. When my dad passed away, she would always tell me that he is up there now, in the stars. That he is the brightest star in the night sky, watching over us every single hour of the day, even when we can’t see him. I would spend hours staring up at the stars, talking to the brightest one thinking it was my dad. I told him about my day, my thoughts, my worries and dreams.” Sunoo listens to you attentively, eyes never leaving your face while yours are focused at the million little lights shining in the sky.
“I really thought it was real, you know. I still think so. Every now and then I still talk to him, to his star, and I tell him about my life.” You smile to yourself, searching for the star in the sky and when you find it, you can’t help the sigh of relief escaping your lips. “I believe it because when my mom passed away a few years later, a star appeared right beside the one of my dad. I like to think that it’s them, watching over me. That even death couldn’t bring them apart.”
“Wow.”, Sunoo says, eyes not being able to leave your face. He can’t help the emotions he is feeling, sadness, grief, compassion, admiration. “Thank you for sharing this beautiful story with me. And I believe so too.” Sunoo scoots a bit closer to you, following your gaze up into the sky. “I think they are watching over you right now and I think that they are proud of the person you became, proud of every single thing you achieved so far.”
You smile softly, swallowing the tears that threaten to fall down on your cheeks. “Thank you, Sunoo. God, this means so much to me.” But before any of you can say anything a voice calls out to Sunoo, asking him to come in again.
“Guess Jake needs my help. Sorry we have to cut this short, but I really enjoyed spending more time with you, Y/n. I feel like I learn something new about you every single day.”
-
“No, Dylan. It’s not nice to take away someone else’s toy. How would you feel if someone took away your teddy bear?” The little boy in front of you sniffles a few times, wiping his eyes as small little tears roll down his cheek. This was the fourth time that he was taking away other kids toys and no matter how often you tell him to stop it, trying to get him to understand that it hurts the other children when he does that, he never seems to understand it. And while you know such behavior is a call for attention, it still frustrates you to tell him the same thing over and over again.
“You wouldn’t like that as well, right? That’s why you shouldn’t do it to the other children here as well. They want to play with the toys just as much as you do.” The little boy seems to only cry harder as your words, and you feel the patience running out of your system. Watching the whole encounter from further away, Sunoo sees you struggling. He sees that you need help.
“Dylan, come here.” The little boy waddles over to Sunoo, taking a seat on the older boys’ lap, looking at him with his big doe eyes. “You know what happens when you take someone’s toy away?” The little boy shakes his head. “It hurts the other person’s feelings. You take away something that brought them a lot of joy, and for a moment you take that joy away. That isn’t nice, is it?”
Sunoo gently wipes away his tears, showing him a soft encouraging smile. “Next time instead of stealing a toy from somehow, how about you ask them if you can have that toy? And if they say no, you can either wait until they are done playing with that toy, or you can ask them if they have another toy you can play with until they are done. How does that sound? Is that a good compromise?” Dylan nods his head, a small smile appearing on the boy’s face. “Thank you for listening and thank you for agreeing to the compromise. You can go back to playing now.”
You shake your head as you step closer to Sunoo. It never fails to impress you just how good Sunoo is with kids, always knowing the right things to say, always having a solution to every problem. “How are you so good with kids? Do you have younger siblings? A niece? A nephew?”
Sunoo chuckles at your words, shrugging his shoulders. “Nope, I have an older sister. That’s it.” He stands up again, dusting off his pants. “I guess I’ve just always been good with kids. I always wanted to work with them, and of course have some when I’m older.”
“You are going to be an amazing dad.” Those words slip out of your mouth before you can stop them, and as soon as they are out in the open, you drop your head in your hands with a groan, too embarrassed to look at the boy in front of you.
“Hey, no need to be embarrassed about your words.” Sunoo lays a comforting hand on your shoulder, not knowing that his touch is making it worse for you. “I really appreciate your words. You don’t know how much they mean to me.”
You just nod at him, head still buried in your hands, waiting for the blood that rushed into your cheeks to fade again. “Y/n.”, he calls out your name, lifting your head with his fingers, so you can’t do anything but to look at him. “I think that you are going to be an amazing mother as well.”
3. Make them laugh
Humor hasn’t been your greatest strength so far. You have always been too awkward to perform a joke with confidence, to make the whole room laugh or even slightly snicker at things you say. Jungwon swears you are one of the funniest people he has ever met, you think that he is biased and that it doesn’t count since he is your close friend and Sunoo is your crush. You could never joke with Sunoo the way you do with him.
Jungwon also told you to maybe search up a few jokes you think Sunoo would like and drop them at a random- fitting- time. You emphasized that it wouldn’t end well, that you would turn the situation awkward, the way you always do. But Jungwon just said to be confident, to trust in yourself and the process you made so far with Sunoo. Easier said than done, because while you stand beside him in the kitchen of the kindergarten, preparing their lunch, you find no right way to tell any of the jokes you spent hours trying to remember the whole night.
“You want to hear a joke?” Stupid. That was definitely the worst approach for this. Straight up asking him wasn’t what you had in mind, not at all. You wanted to be smooth about it, waiting for the right time. But as the right time never came, you got nervous. And the more nervous you get, the more likely you forget every piece of information in your head, including the jokes.
“Sure, why not? I always like a good joke.”
“I can’t promise you it’s good. All I can tell you is that they made me chuckle.” Sunoo turns his body to you, a sign you learned that shows you he is putting all his attention on you. You take a deep breath, wiping your sweaty hands on your pants. “How do you make an eggroll? You push it.”
Silence. Gruesome silence fills the space for a few seconds, and you know this was it. You just ripped apart the small chance you had with Sunoo, with one joke. Everything you worked on for the past weeks, you just tossed out of the window in not even ten seconds. You make yourself ready to dig a grave and bury yourself deep in it, never ever showing your face to anyone again. But before you can do that, a laugh tumbles out of the boy’s throat. An actual laugh, and it grows the more time passes. All you can do is watch him with wide eyes and mouth hung open.
Sunoo holds his stomach, wiping his eyes as he still laughs at your joke. “That was the worst joke I’ve ever heard.” He still lets out a few giggles, tipping his head back. Sunoo takes a few breaths, trying to calm himself down before facing you again. “Please tell me you have more of those jokes.”
You nod at him, still not processing the scene in front of you. But when you realize Sunoo is watching you with expecting eyes, you snap yourself out of your haze, telling him another joke you learned. “What do lawyers wear to court? Lawsuits.” And yet again the boy in front of you breaks out into another fit of laughter, but this time you join in, slightly chuckling at your own joke.
-
It has become a thing between the two of you. Whenever Sunoo needed to hear a joke, he would ask you to tell him one and proceed to laugh at it just the way he did the first time. Your confidence grew the more jokes you told, getting bolder and bolder with them. And Sunoo seems to love it, since he searches for you more often the past few days.
“I had the worst day.”, he says after the last parent left the kindergarten with their child. “First of all, I overslept today, and came way too late as you probably noticed. Then, as a punishment I got assigned to clean pretty much everything, but guess what, three children decided to throw up today and I had to clean it up. And to top that, I just got into an argument with a parent, because apparently their child isn’t getting educated probably in this kindergarten? Like excuse me, we are a kindergarten not a school. Your children aren’t here to learn math or geometry, they are here to play, make friends and prepare themselves for school.”
Sunoo drops his head on your shoulder. He has also been getting bolder when it comes to initiating physical touch with you. He is a very touchy person, you’ve seen it with his other friends, but noticing that he is adapting those same habits with you only shows you the progress you have been making. “I really, really need to hear one of your jokes right now.”
You smile at him, softly patting his head, but putting your hand down quickly after again. You have to hold yourself back from not engaging in those small touches, not wanting to overwhelm him or overstep any of his boundaries. “Okay, let me think about one.” Sunoo lifts his head again, looking at you with waiting eyes. “Why didn’t Han Solo enjoy his steak dinner? It was Chewie.”
And this moment right there, this short, sweet moment, is your favorite part. The moment when you can hear the soft sound of Sunoos’ laughter, the sweet melody filling your ears, warming you with the soft touch of joy. You can’t get enough of his laughter, wanting to hear it every single second of the day.
“How can you get better with every joke you are telling?”, he speaks between laughter, shaking his head in disbelief. “Oh, Y/n, you really do make my days so much better.”
4. Make subtle hints
After all those weeks, engaging into more conversations with Sunoo, getting to know him more and making him laugh countless times, you feel a lot more confident about the next step than you thought you would. Making hints, showing him, you are interested in him, doesn’t seem so frightening anymore. It suddenly seems so easy, as if you have been doing it all along already.
“I told you that you can do it.”, Jungwon exclaims, a bit too loudly, catching the looks of a few people around you in the small café the two of you decided to meet up. “I told you the list was going to work.”
“Hold your horses.”, you say, shaking your head at the boy in front of you. “Yes, we did grow closer, but nothing happened as well. I still don’t know if Sunoo likes me, or if he just thinks we are friends. I can’t be sure until he has told me.”
“You can be so stupid sometimes.” You frown at the words of your friend, not knowing what he means with that statement. “Come on, everyone can see from miles away how Sunoo is pinning over you. It’s extremely obvious.”
“You are reaching with that, Jungwon.” You can’t help but roll your eyes at him. Normally you appreciate Jungwon for feeding into your delusions, supporting your wishes, and routing for you and Sunoo, but with the real progress you made lately, this isn’t something you want to hear anymore. You want the truth, the honest truth. You don’t want the mindless support anymore; you want him to keep it real with you. “If he likes me back, I would have noticed that by now. And I haven’t. He isn’t even showing me any signs. Sunoo is treating me like he is treating his close friends.”
“You are so blind.” Ignoring that last comment, you take a bite of your cake, sighing at the familiar taste. “I still wish you luck with this step, Y/n. Let’s pray and hope you won’t embarrass yourself too much and ruin the chance you have with him.”
-
Sunoo smiles at you as he watches you enter the room again after leaving to put a band aid on a girl’s finger. It’s a Friday afternoon, twenty minutes before the parents are going to pick up their children. And you think it’s the perfect time to shoot your shot, to make the first move subtly hinting your crush to Sunoo.
“What are your plans for this fine Friday afternoon?”, you ask Sunoo as you both start packing your bags, ready to head home. “I planned on spending the night on the couch, watch one of the dramas you recommended to me earlier and enjoy a nice bowl of mint chocolate ice cream. And I thought that maybe you would like to join me?” Your heart is racing faster than a car on the highway, ringing loudly through your ears.
“That sounds like an amazing plan to spend the night.”, Sunoo says and for a moment you think he will take up on your offer, but when you see the sad smile on his face, you brace yourself for rejection. “I would love nothing more than to join you tonight, but I promised Jake I would hang out with him tonight. Him and his girlfriend broke up recently and he really needs some distraction.”
“Oh.”, you say, nodding your head at him. “Yeah, no, I totally understand that. I hope Jake feels better soon. You are a great friend for being there for him in such a time.”
Sunoo sighs at your words, ruffling his hair softly. “How about we do that next weekend? I am free then.”
“Next weekend? Yeah, of course. We can do that.” Hope fills your veins again, spreading through your whole body. And you forget the disappointment that lingered inside you just a moment ago.
“Great. Then that’s a date.”
-
Sitting beside Sunoo on your couch, in your apartment, in front of your tv, is definitely something that will take you a while to get used to. It’s so foreign seeing him in sweatpants, his hair falling softly onto his forehead and his face rid of any makeup. You swallow the lump in your throat and force your gaze away from him and back to the drama on the tv.
“God, they are so cute.”, Sunoo says after a while, watching the couple in the drama hold hands for the first time, shy and flustered. “This is the kind of love I want; you know? It’s so sweet and innocent. It’s so pure.”
You smile at his words, nodding your head softly, agreeing with his statement. “Yeah, me too. I love how soft dramas portray love. It’s so different from American dramas.”
“Yeah, I agree.” Sunoos’ eyes are trained to the tv, immersed into every single detail, not wanting to miss even a second. “This is the kind of love I want to give as well. I know I’m capable of this, but I just have to find the right person.”
“I think you would be an amazing boyfriend.”, you tell him, honestly. “The person who will call you their boyfriend in the future will be the luckiest person on this planet to have scored someone so kind and compassionate as you. Everyone deserves a Sunoo in their lives.” This is probably the boldest thing you said to him. And you are not sure where it came from, how you got the confidence to say what you said. But Sunoo seems to appreciate your words, showing you the softest, sweetest, smile he has ever given you. And you swear, you even see a faint hint of blush on his cheeks.
5. Be yourself
Be yourself.
Be yourself.
Be yourself.
You keep on repeating to yourself. This has to be the hardest step yet. You don’t know how to be yourself. You don’t even know how you are if you are being honest with yourself.
You don’t know how you want to live, how to find your flaws and your strengths, how to build up a security in yourself. How can you be yourself when you don’t even know yourself? Does Sunoo know who you are? You have been getting closer, opened up to each other, shared secrets in the whisper of the night, wishes as the gloomy sun filled up the sky with its light. But does he know you? Does he know what you are, who you are, where you are?
How can he know it when you don’t?
It’s been bothering you, day and night, robbing you from your sleep and stealing your appetite. You can’t stop thinking, obsessing. But no matter how much time you invest into thinking, you never seem to be getting an answer.
But spending so much time thinking also meant you started distancing yourself. Especially from Sunoo. You don’t know how you can engage in the last step, to ask him out, if you don’t know the simple answer to who you are. You think that Sunoo deserves a securer version of you, the person who knows what she wants, knows where her strengths lie. He doesn’t deserve the insecure, overthinking version of yourself that you are right now. So, you thought it would be for the best if you just distanced yourself from him, at least until you figured everything out.
But Sunoo doesn’t like that at all. He started worrying about you, but every time he tried asking you, you dodged him. And while he wants to give you your space, he can’t stop himself from worrying even more. Has he done something wrong? Did he say anything, do anything, that hurt you, that made you distance yourself from him?
He can’t take it anymore. He can’t keep watching you from a distance, hoping you would just tell him what’s wrong. He needs answers, and he needs them now. So, when the last parent leaves, Sunoo grabs your arm and pulls you into the break room.
“I know you probably need your space right now and the last thing you want is to talk to me, but I can’t take this anymore. Can you please just tell me what I did wrong for you to completely pull away from me? Did I hurt you?”
“Oh, God, Sunoo. No, you didn’t.” You shake your head hastily. When you started taking some space from Sunoo, all you thought about was getting a clear mind space first, getting answers before confessing to him. But you never thought of how Sunoo might feel. It didn’t cross your mind once that he could think it is his fault, that he would care so much. “Please don’t worry. This has nothing to do with you. I’m just not in the right mind, and I have a lot to think about.”
“Well, but it feels like it has to do with me, because you are normal with everyone else. You talk to all the colleagues the way you normally do, but it is me that you act different with.” You sigh as you hear his words, not ready for this conversation. This is the last thing you wanted to do today, not prepared for what is about to come. You didn’t think of the right words, the heartfelt message, the longing feelings.
“I can’t talk about this right now, Sunoo. If you just give me a bit more time, a few more days, then we can talk about all this.” But Sunoo isn’t listening to you, he just shakes his head, a long sigh slipping past the boy’s lips.
“But I can’t wait a few more days, Y/n. It’s already been days. I want to know now. It’s keeping me up at night, it’s driving me crazy. It hurts my heart just thinking about the possibility that I might have hurt you, drove you away. Please, just tell me. Whatever it is, I swear we can fix this. You have become such an important person in my life, I don’t want to lose you. I can’t lose you, Y/n.”
“I like you.” The words tumble out of your mouth before you can stop them. “I like you, Sunoo. I have for a while now. And I was trying to think of a way to confess to you, a way to find myself, to give you the best version of myself.”
“That’s it?”, Sunoo chuckles, shoulders lifting, and face overcome with amusement. “That’s why you have been avoiding me?” You nod your head carefully, scared of his next words. “I knew, Y/n. I’ve known it for a while now.”
“You knew?”, you ask him, eyes bulging out of your head.
“Yeah, I mean you haven’t been subtle about it. Especially lately. Don’t think I didn’t notice you picking up my interests, talking more to me and flirting with me.” You look to the floor, embarrassment evident on your face. This is it, your end, your misery. This is the part where you will get the rejection of your life. This is the part where you have to quit your job, because you will never be able to face Sunoo ever again in your life. You wait for it. You wait for the bomb to drop on you, to rip open your heart, to put a knife in it and twist it until it bleeds out. But it never comes. The bomb never explodes, and the knife never enters your heart. “I mean why else do you think I have been flirting back, engaging in all your little tries?”
“What?” Is all that leaves your mouth.
“Yeah, I like you back, Y/n. I have for the longest time. And I was so happy when you showed interest in me. I was always too shy to make a move on you, scared you would reject me. But when you started staring at me more, and when I noticed how you completely changed how you approach me, I knew that you like me back. That’s why I have been so bold as well. I thought that if I touch you more, or invite you to more hangouts, you will get the hints, but apparently that didn’t work out as planned.”
“You like me back?”
Sunoo laughs at your words, nodding his head and gently taking one of your hands in his, giving it a soft squeeze. “Yes, I like you back.” You just stare at him, not believing the words leaving his mouth. You followed this whole plan, for weeks, just to find out that Sunoo liked you all along. It’s almost funny, and you almost laugh at how absurd this all his. But you don’t because you remember that you still haven’t really said anything to him. “Aren’t you going to ask me out?”
“Yes, sorry, yes. I’m sorry, I’m still processing your words.” Taking a few breaths, you can’t fight the smile on your lips as you look at your intertwined hands. “Sunoo, would you like to go on an official date with me?”
“It would be my pleasure.”
Bonus
“I still can’t believe the two of you actually ended up with each other. I still remember Sunoo going on and on about his crush on Y/n.”, Jake says, making you all laugh softly at his words.
“I always knew.”, Jungwon turns in, making you look at him with confusion in your eyes. “I saw the way they looked at each other when the other one wasn’t watching, and I just knew they liked each other. And I overheard Sunoo talking to Jake about his crush on Y/n.”
“Wait, what?”, you exclaim, voice raising in more confusion. “You knew this the whole time? You knew Sunoo liked me and you didn’t tell me? You knew he liked me, and you still let me follow that stupid five step plan that YOU made for me?”
“Yep.”, Jungwon proudly says, showing you one of his wide grins.
“But why?”
“Wouldn’t it have been too easy if I just told you? I wanted to see you try, see you get out of your comfort zone. And I also wanted to have my own fun and believe me when I say I thoroughly enjoyed watching you get frustrated over every single little thing you said to Sunoo.” You gape at your friend, not believing the absurdity of this situation. But before you can complain to him, voice your anger at your friend’s disappointment in your suffering, he speaks up again. “But it worked, didn’t it? It took you longer, but it still worked out in the end.”
And you can’t disagree with him. Because it did work out. And you know it every single time you look at the boy who’s holding you in his arms. You know it from one single look that it worked out, that it was meant to be. And he knows it too, feels to, sees it every day.
It’s the kind of love he always wanted, the kind of love he dreamt of having, the kind of love he sees in all the dramas he watches. And now he has it. Now he has finally found his one person, the one person he always talked about.
He has found his soulmate, his love, his forever. Just like in the dramas. Only that it is so much better.

he opens his mouth to speak and you hold up a hand.
“don’t even think about saying a single word.”
you’re not really sure how you got into this situation. when you came back home for the summer break, you figured you wouldn’t be seeing anyone familiar anytime soon.
especially not your childhood best friend.
especially not while dressed in your old pajamas—ones that were printed with unicorns and ended well above your ankle as the lucky first pick out of your dusty closet.
you definitely didn’t expect to have any human interaction at the library at the lovely time of 2 am.
you internally curse at the turn of events.
“i don’t want to hear it, kim sunoo.”
you can’t even recall the last time you saw him. dressed in old clothes that were probably meant for a fifth grader, for crying out loud.
“i was just going to say you look cute,” he shrugs casually.
the book you were attempting to read slams shut.
you should’ve known those pajamas were still lucky, after all.

Trip. . .

As the plane touched down on Korean soil, Y/N couldn't contain her excitement. She had been away for what felt like an eternity, traversing the globe, collecting memories in every corner of the world. But now, she was back, and her heart raced with the thought of surprising Sunoo, her dearest friend, and perhaps something more.
Pulling her luggage behind her, Y/N navigated through the bustling streets of Seoul, making her way to the ENHYPEN house, a place that felt like a second home thanks to Sunoo's warm invitations and the members' welcoming nature. As she stood before the door, a mixture of nerves and anticipation bubbled inside her. She raised her hand to the doorbell, hesitating for a moment before pressing it firmly.
The door swung open, revealing Riki, whose initial look of confusion quickly transformed into a bright smile of recognition.
"Y/N? What a surprise! Come in, come in!" Riki exclaimed, stepping aside to let her through.
"Thank you, Riki. It's good to see you again," Y/N replied, stepping into the familiar warmth of the house.
Riki closed the door behind her, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Sunoo's in the shower right now, but make yourself at home. I have to know, though—how was your trip? Sunoo's been showing us all your photos. It looked amazing!"
Y/N laughed, settling herself onto the plush couch in the living room. "It was incredible, Riki. I've got stories for days."
As if on cue, Jungwon, Sunghoon, and Jake entered the room, their faces lighting up at the sight of her.
"Y/N! You're back!" Jungwon cheered, leading the others in a group hug that made Y/N's heart swell with affection.
"Did you bring us anything?" Sunghoon teased, earning a playful shove from Jake.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. You'll have to wait and see," Y/N teased back, enjoying the light-hearted banter.
Their conversation flowed effortlessly, stories of Y/N's adventures mingling with the members' own tales of their time apart. Laughter filled the room, creating a warm, convivial atmosphere. Jay and Heeseung eventually joined them, lured in by the sound of familiar voices, and the reunion felt complete.
However, the moment was fleeting, as the group had plans to meet other friends. Reluctantly, they bid Y/N goodbye, promising to catch up properly soon.
Left alone in the quiet house, Y/N took a moment to soak in the peace, her thoughts drifting to Sunoo. She wondered how he would react to her surprise visit. Lost in her musings, she barely registered the sound of the bathroom door opening until Sunoo himself appeared.
Dressed only in joggers, his hair wet from the shower, Sunoo was the picture of casual ease. He hummed a tune under his breath, completely unaware of Y/N's presence.
Y/N's breath hitched in her throat at the sight of him, her face flushing a deep red. Sunoo, despite his aversion to the gym, looked undeniably good, and the sight of his slightly toned body sent her heart into overdrive.
"Sunoo!" she blurted out before she could stop herself, rising to her feet.
Sunoo stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening in disbelief. "Y/N? Is that really you?" he stammered, his heart pounding at the sight of her.
In a few strides, Y/N closed the distance between them, throwing her arms around him in a tight hug. "I missed you," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
Sunoo hugged her back, a sense of completeness washing over him as he held her close. "I missed you more," he confessed, burying his face in her hair.
The familiar scent of her sent shivers down his spine, reigniting a flame he thought he had managed to keep at bay.
They stood there for what felt like an eternity, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around them fading away. Finally, Sunoo pulled back slightly, his gaze locking with Y/N's. There was a depth of emotion in his eyes, a silent confession of the feelings he had harbored for so long.
Without a word, Sunoo leaned in, capturing Y/N's lips with his own in a kiss that was both a hello and a testament to the unspoken bond they shared. It was passionate, tender, and spoke volumes of the journey they had been on, both together and apart.
As they pulled away, breathless, Y/N rested her forehead against Sunoo's, a smile playing on her lips. "I've traveled the world, Sunoo, but nothing compares to being here with you."
Sunoo chuckled, his heart full. "Let's make up for lost time then," he said, his voice low and lifted her up into his arms.
He carried her towards the bedroom, kicking the door shut with his foot. In seconds, Y/N found herself lying on top of the covers, Sunoo pressing her gently to the mattress, his hands running down her arms, her waist, and breasts. He paused momentarily to capture her mouth once more, before trailing kisses along her neck, slowly circling around to her ear. Y/N moaned softly, arching her back to welcome him closer.
"You're always in my head, Y/N. I'm so happy you're back from your trip." He whispered into her ear. nipping playfully at her lobe. "So much has happened while you were gone, we need to talk about it."
Y/N sighed contentedly as Sunoo trailed kisses down her jawline. She couldn't deny the tension building between them. Ever since she stepped off the plane, her heart had been beating at a frantic pace at the thought of reuniting with him. But that wasn't the only reason for the excitement buzzing through her veins.
"Sunoo," she sighed, her hands tracing his abs and his lower back.
"Hm?" he asked distractedly, as if his mind was elsewhere.
She arched her hips upward against his , urging him to take her, as eager as she was to be inside of him. "Sunoo, please, I need you." She panted, moving her hips suggestively against his cock.
Sunoo released a soft growl and sat up slightly. He removed her top and shorts, leaving her in her lace lingerie before removing his joggers. He knelt in front of her, pulling her underwear aside to bare her dripping core.
Her knees trembled slightly as he slid two fingers into her moist folds, the sheer pleasure sparking something within her that she hadn't felt in a long time.
She had forgotten how well Sunoo knew her body, and she relished in the fact that he seemed just as excited as she was. Taking one of her hands, he guided it to his erection, allowing her to stroke him gently as he moved his index and middle finger into her cunt.
"this how much I've been thinking about you, y/n. How much I've missed you?" He groaned and thrusted his finger faster into her. "I think you've felt the same."
"So hot, baby." He murmured against her shoulder, his words intoxicating her senses. She lifted her head, gasping at the raw hunger in his eyes. "Open your legs wider for me."
Y/N parted her thighs, bringing them as wide as possible, giving Sunoo plenty of room to move his fingers. Her head fell back as he explored her core with his digits, his thumb dipping lightly inside of her pussy, sending a wave of pleasure crashing over her. She gripped his shoulders tightly, desperate to hold on as long as she could.
Finally, Sunoo withdrew his fingers and positioned himself at her entrance, using one hand to support himself as he lowered himself onto her body.
Sunoo buried his head in her neck, his body shaking from the effort of holding back. She moaned, encouraging him to go further. With one last thrust, he buried himself balls deep inside of her, making Y/N cry out.
"Sunoo... oh god..." she moaned, reveling in the feeling of him filling her up.
"Good girl. So good." He breathed, pressing his forehead against hers.
His hands cupped her ass cheeks, squeezing them tightly, anchoring him as he began to thrust into her. For Y/N this was the best welcome back gift ever.
Every thrust brought her closer to climax, until finally she found herself flying over the edge, crying out his name as her body shook uncontrollably beneath him.
"Sunoo," she cried out and pulled him down for another kiss.
Sunoo let his load out into her, his hips stuttered before coming to a stop. He pulled away and chuckled softly at her, his bright, bubbly smile coming back as he pulled her closer.
Y/N giggled and nuzzled his neck. "Sorry about that," she laughed.
"What can I say? I love you, Y/N." Sunoo replied, his hands caressing hips gently.
Y/N blushed brightly, enjoying the intimacy. After months spent apart, she had no doubt that he loved her, too.
"I love you, too." She smiled.
Sunoo lifted his head, grinning and pecked her cheek. "Right let's get you taken cared of."
Sunoo was about to rise and attend to Y/N, ensuring she was comfortable after their moment of intimacy, when the door burst open. Jay, Jungwon, and Sunghoon, laden with bags from their recent trip to the shops, stood frozen in the doorway, their eyes going wide at the scene before them.
Reacting quickly, Sunoo grabbed the bed sheets, covering Y/N and himself in a hurried attempt to shield them from view.
"Whoa, did we interrupt something?" Jay blurted out, a mix of amusement and surprise in his tone.
"Um, we just came back and...didn't expect this," Sunghoon added, his eyes darting away, trying to find a neutral spot to focus on.
Jungwon, cheeks tinted with a blush, stammered, "Sorry, we should've knocked..."
Sunoo, a sheepish grin forming despite the awkwardness, replied, "Yeah, uh, surprise? We weren't expecting company."
Y/N, peering out from under the sheet, added with a nervous chuckle, "It's not exactly what it looks like. Well, maybe it is, but..."
"It's cool, it's cool. We just didn't know you two were... together, like that," Jay said, recovering from his initial shock.
"Yeah, when Y/N said she missed Sunoo, we didn't realize it was in a 'missed my boyfriend' way," Jungwon finally managed, finding his voice again.
Sunghoon, finally regaining some composure, quipped, "Guess the secret's out now. How long has this been a thing?"
Sunoo and Y/N exchanged a glance, a silent agreement passing between them. "Well, it kind of evolved a few months before Y/N's trip. We realized there was more to us than just friendship," Sunoo explained.
"Yeah, and we decided to keep it low-key, at least for a while," Y/N added, her voice steadying as she spoke.
Jay nodded, a smile breaking across his face. "Well, your secret's safe with us. Just maybe give us a heads-up next time so we can avoid the...uh, surprise."
"Definitely a lesson learned," Sunoo agreed, the tension in the room easing.
"Alright, we'll leave you two to...catch up more. Just shout if you need anything," Sunghoon said, motioning towards the door, leading the others out of the room.
As the door clicked shut, Sunoo let out a relieved sigh, turning to Y/N with an apologetic look. "Sorry about the chaos. Not how I imagined our secret coming out."
Y/N, now smiling genuinely, squeezed his hand reassuringly. "It's okay. Looks like we've got some explaining to do later, but for now, it's just us."
"Yeah, just us," Sunoo echoed, his voice soft, leaning in for a gentle kiss, the earlier interruption already fading into the background as they focused on each other, ready to navigate their newly revealed relationship together.

I don't understand why everything that I write which isn't related to Avatar is a flop like come oon
Dope!Sunoo teasing you on the way home cuz he knows that you got horny from his performance. That boy is sassy, have you seen him sticking out his tongue when performing ?! For xy reasons you would travel back with him and some Enhypen members and he would gently touch your tight and pretend it didn't happen. He's a tease, he just wants you to look at him with those pretty eyes of yours, begging silently for him to stop. He would literally roam your body with his eyes and then smile brightly when someone would look at you two.
Sunoo going back to the dorm and fucking you in his bed, wanting you to scream as loud as possible cuz he wants his hyungs to understand that you are taken and that he is a man ♡ You not letting any sound out cuz you are embarrassed, making him roll his eyes and try harder, faking pity when you're literally biting your own hand in order to muffle your moans.
"Aw~, poor baby. Got excited when you saw me on stage, huh ? Have you seen the way they were all looking at me ? You should let them now that I'm all yours, don't you think ?"
"You don't wanna make any sound ? Fine, but don't cry if I'm being rough with you."
"You can't even speak properly, dumb baby."
You two would go back in the living room and that mf wouldn't even hide the fact that he fucked you dumb. He wouldn't even fix his hair or yours, he would purposely put his shirt on the wrong way, but when they would address it to him, he would just laugh it off and tilt his head, acting like he doesn't get what they mean. He loves acting on both side of his personality.
"What do you mean 'we were loud' ? Perverts."
Please stop being so pretty.

✈︎ season of lilies
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the lilies have never stood as beautiful as they did after you left.
pairing : idol!sunoo x sick!gn!reader
warnings + genre : mcd, angst, hints of fluff, not gender specific but it does mention having a female roommate, sunoo calls reader lily as a nickname once. hinted established relationship.
wc : 0.6k
a/n : for u @onlyghxst ♡
Tumblr media
“I don’t have very much time left.” You spoke softly, voice as delicate as your weakened body. head gently rested against the side of your wheelchair as Sunoo pushed it through the indoor garden. Sunoo chose to just hum at your words knowing that if he opened his mouth to reply then his cries would spill out with the faucet in his eyes.
“I can feel it,” your tired eyes looked out towards your favourite spot in the garden, the place where you’d first met Sunoo’s group after they’d been invited to preform “I’m not going to get better.”
The lilies were in bloom, their pink and white petals open as the sun came in through the roof. “I know” Sunoo whispered as he crouched down beside you, his hand coming down to wrap around your own.
“But you’ll be okay, I know you will.” A small smile rose to your lips, certainty replacing the longing in your vows. Sunoo shook his head, his hair falling down over his eyes as they filled with tears.
“Eventually I will” He promised with his fingers crossed. He knew he wasn't going to heal from your passing but he wasn't going to tell you that, he wasn't going to let you carry the burdens of his onset mourning.
The doctors had told you that your symptoms were getting worse, that you won't make it to the next season.
As much as it hurt, you truly believed that if you spent the rest of your short life with Sunoo and the lilies, you won’t mind missing out in the future.
You’ve been living to die, preparing your own funeral with the boy sitting beside you with his warm hands entwined with your cold ones. “I want to come back as a lily, I hope that even after death you can find me in things that I loved, that we loved.” You looked away from the lilies after feeling Sunoo’s hand tighten around your own, heart melting at the sight of him silently crying.
“You will make the prettiest garden” And you did.
Sunoo stood on the stadium in some random park in Seoul, a microphone in his hands as Heeseung spoke from beside him.
It was that time of year again, the season of lilies. It's been two years since you left him, since the last petals fell from the hospital's flower garden. But even with you gone, he could still feel you.
His eyes connected with the wide garden to his left, genuinely smiling as he saw a singular lily standing tall in the center. The pink and white petals standing proudly, strong green leaves surrounding the stem.
‘I see you, my lily.’ his head tilted back as the sudden wind kissed his cheeks, his hair blowing back to reveal his forehead. He could almost feel your lips against his cheeks, your whispers in the wind.
Maybe in another life you wouldn't have left him so early, maybe you wouldn't have been sick, maybe you would've been able to see him achieving all your shared goals, a void full of maybes and heartbreaking nothings. But as his eyes opened and connected with a small girl in the crowd his heart mended.
The younger girl who you shared a hospital room with was sitting in the front row, both hands in front of her holding a bouquet of lilies and a bright smile that lit up even more after making contact with Sunoo’s. “They found a cure!” Her now healthy voice shouted out in excitement.
It was then when your love for lilies finally made sense to Sunoo, because they bloomed as miracles were made.

Tumblr media
Finally the last chapter to how our dear bad boys lived. Many of you would be surprised as to how the well-known sunshine of Belift High became a bad boy. it came pretty shocking to many when they found out how close sunoo was to the other boys.
Many students have heard of Kim Sunoo. he puts on a smile everyday without fail and treats everyone with respect. that is if you don’t get on his bad side. every bully in his grade could testify how terrifying sunoo became when he got mad. since many don’t see his anger, this was how the bullies described sunoo.
“His eyes were huge, he had a murderous look in his eyes. A creepy smile that adorned his lips. his voice unexpectedly becomes deep when he gets mad. i have chills remembering what happened.” one bully testified. many were kinda brushing it off since that did not sound like sunoo in any way and besides, it sounded like the bully was simply in love with sunoo.
But it was true, sunoo was terrifying. not many knew that sunoo’s pastime hobby was surprisingly underground boxing. who knew sunoo liked fighting? maybe it was used to relieve his stress from school. understandable.
now what about you? who was sunoo to you?
“(name), could you pass these to mrs.kim? She needs the spices since she hasn’t had the time to go grocery shopping.” your mom calls out.
“on it mom!”
Sunoo was your neighbour and well sort of your schoolmate. However, you’ve never once chatted with him. Okay, you did once but he simply ignored you when you were like 6 so you never bothered to chat up with him ever again. Kinda funny when both of your parents are best friends.
Your bedroom and his bedroom were adjacent to each other. which meant if your curtains weren’t shut, he would be able to see you and you would be able to see him. that was one of the reasons why you shut your curtains. another reason being sunoo’s cat loves to climb into your window and hang out with you.
“not again, loki.” you picked up the orange tabby cat and carried her next door. sunoo’s little brother, seojun, opens the door.
“oh! That’s where loki went. Thank you, (name) noona!” you hand seojun the cat. Loki meows at you wanting to be held by you again, fighting in the arms of the younger boy.
“anytime seojun. you should cat proof the windows though so loki doesn’t run away or get lost.”
“Mom said she did, i think she forgot to cover up sunoo hyung’s bedroom. i tell her that.”
“Alright.” you gave seojun a small pat on his head and went your own way.
Your relationship with the kim family was simple. Mr and Mrs.Kim were sweet to you, seojun loved you and treated you like an older sister he wished he had. With sunoo, it was complicated. like described before, your bedroom was literally next door to his so you would see him frequently escaping his home in the middle of the night to god knows where.
you didn’t exactly want to tell on him, what if he hurts you? what if he bullies you because you told on him to his parents? which was why you don’t meddle with his business. sure, sunoo was the sunshine but you lived next door, you could hear the conversations he had with his friends, you noticed how he came back with a pretty bloody shirt and bandaged up fist. you weren’t dumb, it was obvious sunoo was doing something pretty shady.
“hey (name), there are customers coming in. it’s rush hour soon, you better get your shit together.” your colleague and shift manager, Ava, says. you nodded at her and went to the cashier as the first few customers approached it.
rush hour, you had a love hate relationship with it. you loved it because it helped the cafe grow in popularity and reach through word of mouth across other neighbourhoods. however, there was one thing that meant. high schoolers from belift high. the snobbiest of the snobbiest. rich people went there and only those with good grades in middle school would get into that school. funny when belift high was one of your options, you did really well in middle school and so your scores were able to meet other student’s.
yet, you decided to not join because you knew belift high was never right for you. especially with the expensive school fees. sure, your parents were decently well-off but they weren’t ones to spend things harshly and so you begged your parents to not send you to belift. sure, they hesitated and didn’t mind paying but if you didn’t want it then they wouldn’t force you to go. hence, you were in hybe high instead, the next sort of upcoming school in the neighbourhood.
It was also ironically next to belift high, which you had to question the choices of where they built it. until you found that belift high and hybe high were practically owned by the same person. hybe high was simply an extra edition to commemorate the founder’s birthday. a token of appreciation or a birthday present to him in other words. yes, you were appalled. which is why some of the students of belift high would come over to hybe high and vice versa.
“take this to table 7, they have been waiting for quite some time. do help apologise to them and explain that we are unfortunately short staffed right now. I’ll handle the cashier for a bit, do help steven in the kitchen alright?” ava explains as she slides the tray over to you. you nod before bringing over the tray of drinks to table 7.
“hi, we are so sorry. currently, we are a little short staffed so desserts may take a while.” you say. the 7 boys who were busily chatting stopped and turned to you. you felt intimidated by their gaze. what’s with the leather jacket on the blonde one.
“it’s fine, thank you!” one of them said with a smile (you didn’t realise it was sunoo since your mind was all over the place). you bowed after placing the tray onto their table. you hear their chattering start up again after you left. that was awkward to say the least.
“sun. did you really have to answer her? she should have gotten the note that we want her to leave it on the table and that we aren’t blind and can see the restaurant is literally packed?” sunghoon says.
“hyung, can you not be stupid. not everyone can read minds.” sunoo rolls his eyes.
“Yeah hoon.” jake adds.
“all of you. you just stared and waited for her to read the room. this is why you guys have no bitches.” sunoo says.
“we do have bitches. in fact, heeseung recently got together with his girlfriend!”
“he pussied out multiple times and that poor girl literally was hurt multiple times by him.” sunoo folds his arms.
“jesus dr.phil, calm down.” jake huffs.
“what’s it to you anyways. usually you wouldn’t exactly get all defensive over girls.” heeseung says. ni-ki gasps like he just solved a scooby doo mystery.
“you like that girl don’t you!” ni-ki says. sunoo rolls his eyes.
“yeah, do you like her or something?”
“we’ve only been here a couple of times though, how can our dear sunoo fall in love that fast?”
“i don’t like her like that. i just simply find her pretty. why? Is it wrong to admire pretty girls? I thought jake hyung does that 24/7?” sunoo says.
“oh fuck off.” jake pouts.
now we go back to you. you were busy working in the kitchen helping Steven, aka one of the chefs. there were supposed to be two chefs on duty but unfortunately he had an emergency last minute so you were understaffed for the day. the fact that it was also a public holiday made it worst, more students came as they didn’t have anything to do. Hence, the cafe was packed for the whole day.
the cafe usually closes at 8pm so you only ever finish at 9pm due to cleaning and restocking of stocks. which was no surprise when you arrived home late at night. you dropped your bed on the table and laid on the bed, sighing in relief as you finally got to rest for the day. you hear scratching against the window and you instantly knew who it was.
“loki.” you whined. quickly, you stood up and opened up the window. loki quickly jumps in and starts brushing past your legs.
“loki, seriously how do you always manage to escape your own home.” you sighed. the cat mewls and tries to climb your legs. you picked her up and looked over at the clock.
10pm, it’s a little late to bring loki back home but you knew that seojun would probably be looking for him.
“you’re a little troublemaker, aren’t you?” you said to loki. she meows again. you grabbed the cat treat from your drawer and opened it up so loki could eat as you brought her next door.
“where are you going, (name)?” your mom asks.
“loki got into my room again so i’m bringing her back home.”
“alright.”
you went next door and clicked on the doorbell. you’d expect mrs.kim or seojun to open the door but you didn’t expect sunoo to open the door.
“umm hi, loki climbed into my room again so i’m here to hand her over back to you.” you say. sunoo hums, you hand loki over to him. “sorry for disturbing you late at night. i’ll get going now.” you turned to walk away.
“you’re that girl from the cafe.” sunoo says. you pause in your steps. “nice to see you. hope i see you more often.” sunoo says. you hear the door shut.
does he not remember you two were neighbours since he was young? was he just pretending you didn’t live next door? or did he really not know that both of your parents were best friends?
you shook the thought off and went home. of course, you shut your curtains since you didn’t want to sunoo to possibly peep you. you shut the lights off and laid in bed. you needed some sleep, after all, there was school tomorrow.
“loki, stop embarrassing me in front of (name).” sunoo groans. the cat meows.
“there you go again with your attitude! she isn’t your mother!” it meows again.
“yet?? what do you mean yet-”
“kim sunoo, stop talking to the cat!” mrs.kim yells.
“sorry mom!” sunoo shouts back. he turns his attention to the tabby cat and glares at it.
“this isn’t over, loki. what do you know that i don’t.” sunoo folds his arm.
The next morning, you were walking into school. for some odd reason, all eyes were on you. well what you thought when you realise someone else was walking behind you. you felt them sling their arm around you.
“felix, what do you want?”
“can’t a guy talk to his friend.”
“you can, if there isn’t tons of girls after you and i might become their prey for being your friend.”
“oh come (name).” felix pouts. “i heard that enhypen came to the cafe where you work at. did sunoo finally recognise you?”
“what do you think?” you placed your books into the locker. felix frowns. “loki escaped and came into my room last night and i had to send her back. guess who opened the door?”
“sunoo?”
“ding ding ding! you are right but he just recognises me as the girl who works in the cafe. I can’t believe after literally living next door to him for 19 years of our lives that he only calls me the cafe girl!”
“okay but why do you care if he notices you or not?” felix asks. you were about to say something but what could you say? why did you actually care? “ay, don’t tell me you have a crush on him.”
“I don’t, lix. can you not put unreasonable reasons out? you do realise rumours can form.”
“okay but who wouldn’t want to be caught in a rumour with belift’s sunshine?” felix says.
“me. i don’t want to.”
“you’ve already been involved with hybe’s sunshine!”
“yeah and i’m thankful it was only amongst hybe high and not belift high too!” you groaned, “do you know much girls were after me everyday trying to confirm if i was your girlfriend because you were so touchy with me? i had to explain that you were in love with someone else.”
“I’m sorry my dear best friend.” felix pouts. you flicked his forehead.
“forget it, let’s get to class. please tell yeonjun that he is going to be late again.” you groaned.
“on it.” felix takes out his phone to text your other best friend.
choi yeonjun, the jock everyone would love to be friends with. you have no idea how you and felix actually became friends with him but it’s been 3 years since you became friends. oh did i mention how he is also close with the enhypen gang? no? well, he is. he is also hybe’s resident playboy, are we really surprised though.
you settled on the chair only to hear someone running in and panting.
“MADE IT!” yeonjun says in between pants.
“congrats, you actually made it before Mr.Gabe comes in.” you say. the boy settles next to you. he grabs your water bottle and downs the water. you smacked him, leaving him to choke a little on the drink.
“that’s my bottle! you do realise you just touched my lips indirectly.” the realisation only makes yeonjun smirk.
“does that mean…i stole your first kiss?” yeonjun puckers his lips at you. felix pulls the boy back and pats his back.
“sorry buddy, if you wanna say who stole (name)’s first kiss…it was me. you missed your chance.” you rolled your eyes at felix’s words.
“it was a party and we were drunk. you were the one who came over me.”
“and you reciprocate it.”
“well what did you want me to do! I was drunk anyway.” you groaned.
“push him away?” yeonjun says.
“well- for fucks sake, just pay attention.” you folded your arms. the two boys don’t tease you further. they know if they did, you’d just get mad and you were terrifying when you were mad so they wanted to save themselves.
lunch rolls by, yeonjun was busy clinging onto you.
“yeonjun, please give me space.”
“but baby.” he pouts. you turned to felix.
“why is he like this?”
“the girl he hooked up with didn’t let him do aftercare. she just wanted it to be a one time thing.”
“damn, you just got rejected.”
“it’s not the first time, honestly.”
“hey, i have manners and i know girls love aftercare. i’m not just some dude who would leave the girl in a disgusting state.” yeonjun explains.
“how sweet of you yeonjun but you do realise if you do that…the girl will catch feelings and i know you don’t do feelings, baby.” you lift his chin with your fingers. you feel yeonjun melting into your touch. hmm maybe this was why you had rumours with your best friend, you were equally as touchy as them.
“you two are disgusting.” felix says. you giggled.
“jealous, lix?” you coo.
“I won’t lie but i think someone else is way more jealous.” felix points to the group behind you. you turned around and you swore you felt your heart drop.
“enhypen.” you mumbled under your breath. the tension between you and sunoo was very much evident in the air and he was just simply staring at you. you feel yeonjun letting you go and waving to the boys.
“hey! heeseung, we are still up for a match later on right?” yeonjun says.
“yeah.”
“hey, lix. i’m going to go, i forgot to grab something from the canteen.” you say. you quickly left before felix could even say anything.
“is that the (name) you have been talking about?” jake asks.
“yeah, why? I told you she’s pretty right?” yeonjun says. sunoo sighs.
“you guys get back to belift. i’m going to go explore hybe high.” sunoo says.
“but we don’t go to this school!” jake yells after sunoo.
“dude, i think she likes (name).” yeonjun says. the other boys deadpan.
“yeah we see that.”
“shit, i broke my own rule.”
“And that is?” jay questions.
“never go for your homie’s girl.”
“that’s a great idea, maybe you should listen to yeonjun’s advice, jake.” sunghoon cocks his brow.
“dude, how am i supposed to know you like her when you literally spend time hating on her.” jake whines.
“if sunoo was here, he would have probably said something like enemies to lovers.” jay adds.
“oh god, please don’t mention it.” jungwon says.
“should we go find him?”
“yeah, we shouldn’t get into more trouble.” heeseung says.
“as if we don’t have a huge bounty on us. they are probably planning our murder as we speak.” sunghoon says.
“again. we aren’t the mafia. there is no bounty on us. rather, they just want to beat us.” jay says.
“uhh, i should go find (name). you guys should find sunoo.” felix says.
“right, sorry. we should go.”
as for you, you were trying to walk when you bumped into someone.
“oh, i’m so sorry-” you looked straight at the person. “sunoo.”
“hey there cutie.” sunoo smiles. you felt your cheeks flush.
“come to my match tonight.”
“what?”
“i’m sure you must know i do underground boxing. come to my match.”
“but why?”
“to hang out. I’ll win for you.”
“no thanks.” you walked past sunoo.
“suit yourself but i’ll find a way to get to know you more.” you shiver at sunoo’s words. he wanted to get to know you more. your heart races.
“(name)!” felix yells out, he slings his arm around your shoulder.
“let’s get to class, hm?”
“yeah, let’s go.” sunoo was about to stop felix when heeseung grabs onto the boy and tugs on his ear.
“let’s go. we have a race to practice for. in your case, you have a boxing match to get ready for.”
“what? But the opponent is literally so easy to beat! I studied his matches! his swings suck.” sunoo complains as heeseung tugs him away.
The next few days went by quickly and sunoo didn’t bother you. the weekend rolls by, you didn’t file in for a shift for this week so you had time to yourself. that is until…
the doorbell rings and so you went to open the door. mrs.kim looked so distressed.
“(name) sweetie, oh thank god you are home! i have an emergency at work and unfortunately my husband won’t be home too. we need someone to look after seojun and maybe sunoo. could you watch over them?”
Watch over seojun and sunoo…more importantly sunoo. how were you going to watch over a teen your own age. he doesn’t even listen to you or his parents, he was wild.
“i can watch over seojun but mrs.kim, i’m not too sure about sunoo. me and him don’t talk at all and since we are in different schools, it makes it harder.”
“sunoo is really easy to care for, just feed him and force him to stay out of trouble. i’m sure you know he is a pretty wild boy.” you hummed at her words.
“mrs.kim, can i ask why you don’t stop sunoo from doing whatever he does.”
“well, i don’t support it but my husband…he used to do the same and he still is a part of a gang so i can’t say much.”
“I see.”
“so will you help? i could give money for you to buy some takeouts.”
“I’ll try-”
“Great! i’ve already informed your mom that you will be staying with the boys until tomorrow morning. you can sleep in the spare bedroom, i’ve already cleaned it up. just bring a set of clothes and you can take a shower in the guest bedroom.”
“mrs.kim-”
“thank you again, (name).” she hands you the keys to her house and quickly leaves. must be really important if she was rushing. you turned to your mom.
“mom, could you help me?” you huffed.
“mrs.kim, trusted you sweetie. Besides, you know today is mine and your dad’s anniversary.”
“yes mom.”
“i’m sorry honey.” she pats your head. you sighed and went to your room to grab a bag with your essentials. you didn’t need to pack much since it was just next door.
you entered the kim household and seojun was busy running after loki.
“LOKI WAIT! YOU CAN’T JUST EAT THE TREAT AND NOT DO A TRICK!” she runs to you and hides behind you. “oh noona, hi.” the younger boy smiles. you smiled too and picked loki up.
“is she causing trouble again?” you booped the cat’s nose and she licks your finger.
“yeah, i was teaching her a trick and she ate the treat without doing it. i thought i taught her better but she’s as stubborn as sunoo hyung.” seojun huffs. you ruffled the boy’s hair.
“come on, you are probably hungry. it’s almost lunch time.”
“oh right, mom gave you money. she asked me to guard it since sunoo hyung would’ve probably stole it.”
“you think lowly of your own brother. besides, i’m pretty sure he doesn’t need the money with the job he does.”
“what job does he do?” seojun asks. you were about to answer when…
“yeah, what job do i do, cutie.” sunoo smirks. seojun looks at sunoo and then you, he makes a disgusted face.
“are you two dating?”
“oh no, seojun we aren’t. he is just teasing.” you say.
“yet.” sunoo adds, “she hasn’t grown feelings for your dear brother just yet.” you rolled your eyes.
“as if.”
“anyways, i have to leave. match tonight.” he comes close, “my offer still stands.”
“i am not watching and you are not going. your mom already told me to watch over you and seojun.” sunoo laughs.
“i’m not seojun, he needs all the attention. though, it’s tempting to stay, when someone like you is watching over.” you scoffed.
“forget it. just go but you better come back before 10am. your parents are coming home then.”
“more than enough time. we even have time to makeou-” you cover seojun’s ears.
“don’t you dare finish that sentence. there is a child here.”
“i’m kidding.” he checks his phone, “well, i have to go now. hope you don’t have too much fun without me.” he kneels down to seojun’s height.
“and you little man, don’t go trying to steal my girl alright?”
“sunoo!” you yelled. he turns his back and waves before leaving to his match. the front door shuts and you sighed.
“sorry about sunoo hyung. i think he hangs out with many weird people. especially jake hyung.”
“do they always talk about whatever they do?”
“mhm, mostly about girls. i find it quite sad, do they feel nothing when they hurt another person’s feelings?”
“you know, seojun. for a 10 year old, you are really mature. don’t be like your brother please.”
“don’t worry noona! I won’t my life goal is to be a better guy than my brother.”
“that’s right, now what do you want for lunch?”
“how about some chicken?”
“of course.” you smiled.
it was about 11pm when you get a text from mrs.kim. the issue she had at work was surprisingly fixed quickly so she was coming home. your eyes widened as you read the text.
“seojun, do you have your brother’s number.”
“yeah, why?” he says as he munches on the pizza.
“we need to get your brother home or i’ll be in trouble.” you say. seojun’s eyes widened.
“mom’s coming home.” you nod. seojun hands you his phone and you called sunoo.
you’ve probably called him like 5 times in the span of 5 minutes and he still wasn’t picking up.
“shit shit.” you were panicking. by 6th call, he finally picks up. you heard panting on his side.
“hell-”
“come home now, kim sunoo.”
“woah, calm down. why should i come home. i just finished my match and now me and the boys are about to practice for our race.”
“your mom is coming home as we speak so fucking get your ass here, before me and you get scolded.”
“shit. i’ll come home.”
“you better run now.”
“I am!” you hear sunoo frantically packing his stuff and his friends questioning what’s wrong. “fuck, i’ll call you when i’m around the corner. open my bedroom window while you’re at it.”
“can’t you go by the front door?”
“too suspicious, besides, your mom is home.”
“and this is why you shouldn’t have gone to that match!”
“it was decently important.” sunoo says.
“yeah, for your pride!”
“fuck. I hurt myself.”
“just get here. i’ll treat your wounds.”
“and what if my heart is hurt?”
“not the time sunoo!”
“right, sorry!” he runs more. “okay, i’m around the corner. open the window now.”
you went to open the window and you hear someone jumping and landing in the backyard. you end the call and the window opens. sunoo shuts the window. he faces you and you notice a scratch on his face, his knee was bleeding a little. you sighed and grabbed his arm. you brought him to the bathroom and searched for the first aid kit.
he settles on the closed toilet lid. you put on some medicine on the q-tip and carefully treated his wounds on both his knee and face. he winces a little. you rolled your eyes.
“i thought you were an underground boxer, you’ve probably felt more pain than this.”
“i broke my arm once so yes, it was way more painful than this but this is still painful.” he points to you putting on the medicine. you sighed.
“thank you for at least running over here before your mom came home. i would’ve actually died since i’m the one babysitting you.”
“anytime. after all, wouldn’t want the girl i have a crush on get in trouble.”
“stop talking nonsense. you wouldn’t have feelings for me.”
“and why wouldn’t i? I’m human too, i’m obliged to like anyone i want that is of age.” you stopped what you were doing.
“we don’t mix. i should only remain as your neighbour and nothing more. that has always been how it is since we were kids.”
“(name).”
you heard the front the door open. you quickly placed a bandage on sunoo’s knee and cheek.
“let’s go.”
“(name).” you walked out of the bathroom.
“(name) sweetie, i’m so sorry to have troubled you. nothing bad happened right?” mrs.kim says. sunoo stands next to you. she was about to question sunoo’s bandage.
“nothing at all.” you say.
“oh, i see. sunoo and seojun must have roughhoused a little. as usual.” she smiles.
“mom!” seojun folds his arm and huffs.
“anyways, you are still free to stay (name) since your mom still thinks you are staying over to watch the boys.”
“no no, it’s okay. i should get home. i have to get ready for work tomorrow.”
“ah okay. take care then sweetie.” mrs.kim smiles. you smiled a little and nodded. you grabbed your bag and left for your house. Once you left. she turns to sunoo.
“you left the house didn’t you?”
“Mom-”
“i don’t want to get mad at (name) since i can tell she isn’t feeling too happy. what did you do to the poor girl?”
After that babysitting incident happened, you just didn’t talk to anyone about sunoo. not even felix or yeonjun. they were curious at first but since you didn’t want to talk about it, they respected your boundaries. as for sunoo, he was dying to visit hybe high to see you but his friends had always pulled him back.
“i just want to see her.”
“and she doesn’t, dude just move on.” sunghoon says.
“then you move on too! The girl you like clearly doesn’t like you back since you keep hurting her!” sunghoon clenches his fist ready to lunge at sunoo. jake holds sunghoon back while jay holds sunoo back.
“alright, you have to stop arguing.” heeseung says. jungwon was about to step in as their leader but yeonjun comes running to where they were.
“you guys have to get to hybe high and save (name).” hearing your name, sunoo pushes past jay.
“what happened to her.”
“me and felix tried looking around for her but we couldn’t find her.” sunoo groans.
“hyung, have any idea who it might be, who is messing with us.”
“sunoo, we made tons of enemies. we can’t just pinpoint one group-”
“the raiders.” jungwon says. Everyone turns to him, “they competed against sunoo in the last match, i’m sure they are out to target specifically him by using (name).”
“oh here we go again on our james bond shit.” jake sighs.
“Hey but james bond is cool.” ni-ki adds.
“let’s just go. yeonjun, please lead us to places you think (name) would be.” heeseung says.
you squirm around trying to free yourself, they finally remove the tape covering your mouth.
“what the fuck is this? you guys think you’re in an action movie?” the guy just rolls his eyes.
“sunoo just had to fall in love with someone so annoying.”
“great to know you find me annoying. I find you annoying too! besides, this is kind off predictable that you are only using me to lure sunoo to me.”
“very true.”
“alright, come on tell your sad sob story as to why you captured me to lure sunoo in.” you say.
“well our leader lost to sunoo in the boxing competition and the race. our whole gang thinks he cheated.” you were holding in your laughter.
“HAHAHA. i’m sorry but that’s it? just because your leader lost fair and square? how do you even cheat in boxing? Or racing.”
“It’s a serious matter. h-his pride was hurt.”
“boys and their pride. come on, not everyone needs to stay on top. who cares, you can always work hard and come back better and stronger. well, if you try hard enough of course.” you eyed them up and down.
“no, sunoo cheated so it’s only fair we-” the guy gets something thrown at the back of his head.
“doing it mexican mom style!” jay says. you looked down and noticed his timberlands were on the ground next to you.
“nice shot.” you say.
“thanks (name).”jay shouts. felix joins in.
“umm felix can you even-” felix does a back kick at the guy who was after him, the guy falls to the ground and enhypen was left shocked.
“what? I took taekwondo for like 7 years. only fair that i use my knowledge.” jungwon thumbs up at felix.
“nice one hyung.”
“thanks.” more guys kept coming and the boys fought them off. yeonjun helps to untie you.
“hey, damsel in distress.”
“am i really a damsel in distress when i quite literally talked back to them?” you say pointing the other gang. yeonjun shrugs.
“maybe not. I thought you’d be terrified. Oh and duck.” you duck, yeonjun kicked the guy. “you should run to sunoo.”
“and be his damsel in distress?”
“well these people clearly thought you and sunoo had something going on.”
“idiots.”
“(name), i don’t think they are the idiots. you are.”
“what?”
“duck again.” you duck. yeonjun kicks again. “i mean it. you looked like a sad abandoned puppy this whole week. i do believe you like sunoo and he is the perfect guy for you.”
“but yeon-”
“and don’t say that bullshit, ‘oh but his fangirls will..’ because fuck those girls, they are only after his dick and money. you aren’t. i can tell you’ve been crushing on the dude since the 3 years i knew you. even felix and he has filled me with everything in detail between you and sunoo.” you sighed.
“yeonjun, i am scared.”
“love is scary but you should take the risk. Especially knowing he does those things, that’s besides the point. go and confess to him.”
“now? While he is fighting those heaps of people.”
“oh don’t worry, leave it up to us. just drag him somewhere. Trust me.” you breathed in and went towards sunoo. you grabbed his arm as he was about to fight someone.
“we need to talk.”
“I was fighting the guy-” you kicked the guy where it hurts most and he falls to the ground. sunoo turns to you. “(name), what the actual fuck.”
“your welcome, now let’s go. i’m sure you wouldn’t want to be grounded.”
“alright?” you brought him towards belift high.
“I like you.” you nonchalantly say. sunoo’s eyes widened.
“but you always reject my advances and like you completely shut down every flirt i throw at you.”
“yeah well, i like you.” sunoo keeps quiet. “are you not going to say anything?”
he hugs you, “i like you too.” you fight a smile threatening to appear.
“since when.”
“umm, it’s cringey but since i first saw you.”
“sunoo, we got to know each other when we were 6.”
“hey, you can still have feelings when you are 6!”
“but you haven’t reached puberty!”
“so? love works in different ways.” sunoo says. you smacked his arm. he winces, “hey! that’s not what a girlfriend should do!”
“girlfriend huh?” you teased.
“well, you are my girlfriend…unless you don’t want to be.” sunoo pouts.
“I do but can i have a favour?”
“sure.”
“please quit either one of your secret jobs.”
“but they are both my hobbies.”
“i don’t want my boyfriend to come home with injuries. it worries me.”
“alright.” sunoo pouts.
“how about you join me at the cafe hmm?”
“working at the cafe?”
“yeah.” you say. sunoo thinks for a second, “it will bring popularity to the cafe and we need more helping hands anyways.” he doesn’t say anything.
“and i’m included too.”
“in that case, yes. i’ll work at the cafe with you!” you playfully rolled your eyes when sunoo pecks your cheek. he excitedly jumps.
how did you even fall for him?

– 6:53 pm ; how sunoo falls in love
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: kim sunoo x gn!reader genre: fluff trope: introvert x extrovert
Tumblr media
sunoo is the love that you kept high on its pedestal.
sunoo was love personified; you wouldn’t have it any other way.
and it was the same love that had you shy away whenever you’d see him. sunoo was intense in his own way; he was intense in such magic that you thought you were too low for someone like him.
and it was the same love that had you shy away whenever you’d see him. sunoo was intense in his own way; he was intense in such magic that you thought you were too low for someone like him.
sunoo thinks your excuse was preposterous.
he couldn’t understand that you wouldn’t see that he appreciated you listening whenever he talked and talked and talked. he couldn’t understand why you fail to notice how he desperately tries to catch your eyes whenever you steal glances at him.
“you have pretty eyes,” sunoo says one time as he scrolls through his phone.
“what?” you’d ask from your situation, sat on the floor beside his legs, as you were too busy reading the book that you have in your hand.
“i said you have pretty eyes,”
“how would you know?”
“you look at me quite too often.” he teases as he nudges you with his knee.
love with sunoo is innocent – it’s pure, but it is heart-warming.
the kind of love that you would catch looking at you when everyone seemed to not listen to your every word. the love that would catch even your faintest whispers and mutters and memorize them by heart as his way of knowing you. the love that would take note on how your eyes twinkled when a specific song played on the speakers as his playlist was on shuffle and trying to include that in his queue whenever you have a plan to hangout.
love listens. even at the intensity of emotions.
“i fucking hate them,” you’d say as you see his figure while trying to contain the tears in your eyes. and the second you say that sunoo’s phone is long discarded somewhere. making you sit somewhere comfortably, and he’ll give his attention to you.
love speaks for you. when you cannot find the words to say.
“do you want me to talk to them?”
“what, no!”
“then how will they know that you were hurt by what they did?”
love joins you even when you’re at the farthest in the room.
“sunoo!” you’d whisper excitedly as you see him walk towards you with a smile on the both of your faces. you’d grab his arm and wrap your arm around his, telling him everything you’ve observed from where you sat alone before he arrived.
love understands your silence.
“sun, i don’t really want to talk right now,” you’d say as you rubbed your temples out of stress. and sunoo smiles, nodding and kissing your hair as he sits somewhere near you just in case you’d need him.
love makes other understand your silence.
“are they alright?” jay asked sunoo one time when you went towards your room without acknowledging him in your shared flat.
“yes, don’t worry about it,” sunoo smiles genuinely, unfathomed by your disposition. because he knew better.
love makes you know love itself.
“why are you smiling like that?” you blushed when you catch him looking at you.
“i have always loved you, you know that?”
and you’ll smile, because of course, you always have.

#240117 : SUNOO의 💭 COLLAGE
collage ⋅ 1OO
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SUNOO's first photos on his camera had been you, but not your face.
you were captured in the essence of how your love flows in earth. in the grasses, in a cat that had walked up to him, and in the skies. in the calls of seagulls, your voice had been there.
in all love, he found his way back to you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
YOUR first joke upon meeting had been about your contrast in personalities.
with you and sunoo having both times of the sun and moon rising, you found one particularly leaning into your projection to others- hence the formation of the kuromi and my melody duo.
in shows, doodles, and papers, he had always found his way onto you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
BOTH of you have a love for soft materials.
like your hearts, they are fragile and easy to nurture. and just like one has to the other, you plant the material in your hand in care for it.
the seed growing in your heart under the name of sunoo is watered with gifts and kisses, but silence too.
you love sunoo in flowers and photos.

APPLE CIDER - kim sunoo
Tumblr media
summary! you and sunoo definitely don't like each other like that, it would be crazy right? that's definitely not why you're wearing the jumper he totally didn't say looked good on you...
warnings! none (lmk if there is any)
authors note! almost finished with the series now,, i don't quite know how i feel about that yet but thank you for all the support so far :)) series masterlist!
Tumblr media
“Here’s my number, you should call me later!”
Kim Sunoo, your newest seatmate, your newest friend, your newest crush. But no, not really because you don’t like sunoo in that way, or at least not that much - is what you keep telling yourself.
Being partnered with sunoo in a random change of seating plans was definitely not on your list of things that could possibly happen this year, but you weren’t complaining about it. How could you when he looked the way he did, and had that beautiful personality to match?
Sunoo liked seeing you smile and he liked to compliment you, one thing you could count on him for was always having something nice to say to you. Almost everyday a new one comes, “that jumper looks great on you”, “I really like your hair today, it’s cute, you should do it more often”. And do it more often you did, always waiting for sunoo to comment on it and when he did, then offering for him to play with it, asking him for a new style. You liked talking to Sunoo.
“You like apple cider too?”
It was little things that made you fall for sunoo really. The way his eyes would light up when he realised you guys had something in common and then proceed to ramble on excitedly about said thing, or the way he would always pay attention to you when you were speaking, and of course you can’t forget about his pretty little smile that literally lights up the entire room.
And as much as you wish that smile could only be for you, it isn’t and you were unfortunately reminded of that fact everyday when you see him laughing with the same girl that isn’t you. But they're just friends aren’t they? He doesn’t hold her hand like he does yours (you also liked holding his hand), he doesn’t compliment her like he does you, right? Was this unnecessary jealousy?
Maybe you do like Kim Sunoo.
00:00   incoming call from ‘Sunoo <3’
You definitely like Kim Sunoo.
Maybe he liked you back, maybe he doesn't. Or maybe he does but not that much, just like you.
Maybe you answer the phone, wanting to talk about how you guys definitely don’t like each other that much.

PAIRING... angel!sunoo x devil!reader | GENRE... fluff, romance, humor | WC... 0.3k | mentions of parties? | “you are the only one that i want to stay.”
Tumblr media
you’re not sure how you got into this situation. no one would have expected a devil and an angel in the same room, let alone sitting next to each other.
the subtle glances sent to each other don’t go unnoticed. at some point, you can’t keep your mouth shut.
“what brings you here?” you eye the angel warily.
he shrugs, fighting to keep a smile off his seemingly sparkling face. did all angels shine? you wonder.
“i could ask you the same question.”
you sigh, taking the red plastic devil horns off your head. “i don’t think i can keep the act up. i’m sorry… but why did you think this was the best couple costume choice?”
your boyfriend sunoo pouts. “i thought it would be cute.”
you immediately feel bad at his reaction. “i mean, i guess it‘s… not the worst one i’ve seen today?”
he beams, causing you to smile as well. “well, thank you for dressing up with me today, baby.”
to be honest, you wouldn’t have minded if it weren’t for the giant party that you were forced to go to. you know he could sense your hesitance as well.
“do you want to leave?”
you quickly shake your head, “it’s fine.. i can stay. maybe everyone else thinks we’re boring, though, since we keep staying on this couch.”
sunoo grabs your hand, intertwining your fingers.
“nah,” he whispers, “i could care less about everyone else. you are the only one that i want to stay.”

Dream State
Tumblr media
Paring: Sunoo x Reader
Summery: this story is based off the song DreamState by Dayseekers.
Warning: N/A
Style: SFW, Friendship, Romance, Soulmate
Tumblr media
Y/N awoke to a world where reality and dreams merged seamlessly, a place where the boundaries of time and space seemed irrelevant. Under the vast canvas of the night sky, speckled with stars like diamond dust, she found herself lying on a grassy hill. The air was cool, a gentle breeze caressing her face, carrying the playful dance of fireflies, their light flickering like tiny lanterns in the darkness. She sat up, her eyes adjusting to the ethereal beauty of this dream world.
As she wandered, lost in the tranquility of her surroundings, her path crossed with someone unexpected. Their eyes met, a moment of confusion hanging between them before he offered her a small, genuine smile. He had an air of familiarity, yet she couldn't place him.
"Hi, I'm Sunoo," he introduced himself with a warmth that felt comforting.
"I'm Y/N," she replied, her voice a whisper in the serene night.
They embarked on a journey through the dream, strolling through the sprawling valley under the watchful eyes of the stars. Y/N had never seen so many stars before; they were like a tapestry of light, each one telling its own ancient story.
As they walked, their conversation flowed effortlessly. Sunoo shared anecdotes that made her laugh, his voice a melody that seemed to harmonize with the night. Y/N found herself opening up, telling him stories she had never told anyone, her words weaving into the tapestry of their shared experience.
The more they talked, the more Y/N felt a strange sense of déjà vu, as if their souls had known each other for lifetimes. Sunoo's presence was comforting, his laughter infectious, and his insights profound. The night seemed endless, a realm where time held no sway, allowing them to explore the depths of their newfound connection.
But as the dream continued, a subtle change began to take place. Y/N noticed Sunoo's form starting to fade, his image becoming translucent like the morning mist. He noticed it too and looked at her with a hint of sadness.
"We're waking up, aren't we?" Y/N asked, her voice tinged with a mix of wonder and regret.
"It seems so," Sunoo replied, his smile bittersweet. "But this was real, wasn't it? Even if it was just a dream."
Y/N nodded, feeling a pang of sorrow at the thought of leaving this dream world and the connection they had forged. "Will we meet again, Sunoo? In another dream?"
"I hope so," he said, his voice fading like an echo. "In dreams, anything is possible."
The morning sun streamed through Y/N's window, painting her room in hues of gold and amber. She lay in bed for a moment longer, savoring the vivid memory of her dream. The encounter with Sunoo had been so real, so vivid, it lingered in her mind like a sweet melody. She felt a sense of exhilaration, a lightness in her heart that was rare in the rush of her everyday life.
Getting out of bed, Y/N followed her morning routine almost mechanically, her thoughts still anchored in the dream world. As she prepared for work, she couldn't help but wonder about Sunoo. Was he real? Would she ever encounter him again in her dreams? The questions tugged at her heart, filling her with a mix of hope and uncertainty.
Meanwhile, in another part of the world, in Seoul, South Korea, Sunoo woke up feeling unusually refreshed. The dream had left a profound impact on him, a sense of connection he couldn't shake off. As he got ready, his mind replayed the moments spent with Y/N under the starlit sky.
Entering the living room, Sunoo was greeted by the familiar faces of his ENHYPEN bandmates. They immediately noticed something different about him.
"You look different today, Sunoo. More... alive," Sunghoon remarked, handing him breakfast.
Sunoo chuckled, "I had the most incredible dream."
The others, intrigued, gathered around, eager to hear more. Sunoo described the valley, the blanket of stars above them, and most importantly, Y/N. He spoke of the conversations they had, the laughter they shared, and the surreal feeling of connection.
His bandmates listened intently, each reacting in their own way. Some were skeptical, others amused, but all were captivated by the vividness of his recounting.
"Sounds like you've made a dreamy connection," Jake teased, nudging Sunoo playfully.
Sunoo smiled, a distant look in his eyes. "It felt real, more real than any dream I've ever had."
Back in her world, Y/N arrived at work but found it hard to concentrate. Her mind kept drifting back to the dream. During her lunch break, she sat in the park, her gaze lost in the sky, pondering the possibility of a world where Sunoo existed.
As the day wore on, Sunoo and Y/N found themselves immersed in their respective realities, yet a part of them remained in that dream state, yearning for another encounter.
That night, as Y/N lay in bed, she closed her eyes, wishing with all her heart to return to the valley, to see Sunoo again. She drifted into sleep, her mind filled with stars and whispers of hope.
Similarly, Sunoo went to bed with a sense of anticipation. The possibility of meeting Y/N again in his dreams filled him with an unexplained joy.
In the depths of the night, in that mystical space between reality and dreams, their paths crossed again. This time, they found themselves on a moonlit beach, the sound of waves gently breaking on the shore.
"Sunoo!" Y/N exclaimed, running towards him.
He turned, a smile spreading across his face. "Y/N! You're here!"
They spent the night walking along the beach, talking about their lives in the waking world, sharing fears, hopes, and laughter. The connection deepened, their conversation flowing as naturally as the waves lapping at their feet.
As dawn approached, they both felt the inevitable pull of the waking world.
"I don't want this to end," Y/N whispered, her voice tinged with sadness.
"Neither do I," Sunoo replied, holding her hand. "But maybe, just maybe, we're more than just a dream."
They stood there, hand in hand, as the dream began to fade. Y/N's eyes fluttered open to the morning light, a sense of loss washing over her. Yet, within her heart, the connection with Sunoo remained, a beacon of hope in the sea of her everyday life.
Sunoo, too, woke up feeling a mix of happiness and longing. The dreams were becoming a refuge, a place where he could meet Y/N, away from the glare of the real world.
Days turned into weeks, and each night they met in their dreams, exploring fantastical landscapes, growing closer with each encounter. The dream world they shared became a refuge, a secret place untouched by the constraints of reality.
At work, Y/N found herself more distracted than usual. The vivid dreams with Sunoo lingered in her mind throughout the day. Her best friend, Emily, and her colleagues noticed the distant yet dreamy look in her eyes.
"Y/N, you've been miles away lately," Emily observed one day, concern lacing her voice. "What's on your mind?"
With a hesitant smile, Y/N shared the recurring dreams about Sunoo. Her colleagues listened with a mix of amusement and intrigue.
"It sounds like a fate or soulmate thing," one colleague teased, nudging her playfully.
"Imagine meeting someone in a dream and not wanting to wake up," another added, laughing.
When Emily asked about the man in her dreams, Y/N mentioned Sunoo's name. Emily's expression shifted momentarily, as if recognizing the name, but she said nothing further. This reaction left Y/N puzzled, stirring a mix of curiosity and doubt. Was Sunoo more than just a dream figure?
Meanwhile, Sunoo was filming an episode of EN-O'Clock with his group ENHYPEN, featuring Tomorrow x Together. His thoughts, however, were elsewhere, consumed by the enigmatic Y/N. He wondered if she was a real person or just a figment of his imagination.
During a break, Hueningkai and other TXT members noticed Sunoo's distant demeanor.
"Hey, Sunoo, you okay?" Hueningkai asked, a look of concern on his face.
Sunoo sighed, "I keep thinking about someone I met in my dreams. It feels too real to be just a dream, but I'm not sure."
The members exchanged glances, intrigued by his confession.
"Maybe she's out there, thinking about you too," Taehyun suggested, trying to offer some comfort.
Back in the real world, Y/N's heart fluttered every time she thought of Sunoo. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to these dreams, a connection that transcended the boundaries of dream and reality.
One evening, as Y/N lay in bed, she whispered into the darkness, "Sunoo, are you real?"
Miles away, Sunoo, lying in his own bed, whispered back to the void, "Y/N, I wish I knew if you were more than just a dream."
That night, they met again in their shared dream world. This time, they found themselves in a lush, enchanted forest, the moon casting a silver glow through the trees.
"Sunoo, do you ever wonder if we're more than just a dream to each other?" Y/N asked, her voice laced with emotion.
"I think about it all the time," Sunoo admitted, his eyes reflecting the moonlight. "In here, everything feels so real, so vivid. You feel real."
In their next dream, Y/N and Sunoo found themselves wandering through a picturesque street lined with quaint shops and cafes. They stumbled upon a charming flower cafe, its windows adorned with vibrant blooms. The people around them moved like shadows, faceless and indistinct, reinforcing the surreal nature of the dream.
As they entered the cafe, the aroma of fresh flowers and coffee enveloped them. They ordered their drinks and found a cozy corner table, away from the shadowy figures.
"Isn't it strange," Y/N began, stirring her coffee, "how we can create such beautiful places in our dreams?"
Sunoo nodded, his eyes meeting hers. "It's like our minds are painting a world where we can escape."
Their conversation flowed naturally as they delved into likes and dislikes, their favorite hobbies, and little quirks. Each revelation brought smiles and laughter, yet neither dared to broach the subject of their existence in the real world.
"Music is my escape," Sunoo shared, his eyes lighting up. "What about you, Y/N?"
"I love reading," she replied. "Books take me to different worlds, much like these dreams."
Their eyes locked with each encounter, a silent acknowledgment of the connection they felt.
In another dream, they found themselves in a tranquil forest. This dream was peaceful, a serene escape from the chaos of reality. They walked together, sometimes chatting, sometimes just enjoying the silence. They watched bees and butterflies flit among the flowers, the simplicity of the scene bringing them closer.
Y/N felt her heart flutter just being near Sunoo, and he experienced the same sensation. The emotions they felt in the dream began to seep into their waking lives, bringing them a sense of happiness and contentment they hadn't known before.
Back in the real world, Sunoo felt inspired to draw Y/N. He wanted to capture the essence of the girl who appeared in his dreams. With time and patience, he sketched her features, focusing on the details that made her unique.
On a lazy day in the dorm, he decided to share the drawing with his ENHYPEN bandmates.
"Who's this?" Riki asked, looking at the sketch.
"This is Y/N," Sunoo replied, a soft smile on his lips. "The girl I've been dreaming about."
The members gathered around, admiring the drawing. "She's really pretty," Sunghoon commented.
"You guys seem to have a special connection, even if it's just in your dreams," Jungwon added.
Sunoo nodded, his eyes reflecting a mix of joy and wistfulness. "Yeah, it feels like we've known each other forever."
Y/N's day had been overwhelming. At work, the pressure seemed unending, and then came the heart-wrenching news: her beloved grandmother had passed away. This loss felt like a void, swallowing her whole. Her grandmother had been her guiding star, her inspiration since childhood, and now she was gone.
That night, Y/N lay in bed, tears streaming down her face. She wanted to avoid sleep, to avoid showing Sunoo her pain, but exhaustion and grief overtook her, and she cried herself to sleep.
In her dream, she found herself in a dark, cold, and frightening place. Shadows loomed around her, the anxieties of her day transforming into haunting figures. She felt alone, scared, and desperately wished for Sunoo's comforting presence.
Suddenly, she felt a pair of warm arms wrap around her. Turning around, she saw Sunoo, his expression filled with concern.
"Sunoo..." she whispered, her voice breaking as she buried her face into his chest.
"I'm here, Y/N," Sunoo whispered back, his voice soft and reassuring. "You're not alone. I've got you."
Slowly, as they stood embraced, the dark shadows began to dissipate, replaced by the familiar hill under a starlit sky, reminiscent of their first encounter.
Y/N sobbed, her tears soaking Sunoo's shirt. He held her tighter, offering silent support.
After her tears subsided, Sunoo gently asked, "Y/N, what happened? You can tell me."
She looked up at him, her eyes red and swollen. "It was just... everything piled up today. Work was so stressful, and then... then I found out my grandmother passed away. She meant the world to me, Sunoo."
Sunoo's heart ached hearing her pain, a pain that felt too real for someone he thought existed only in dreams.
"Y/N, I wish I could do something to ease your pain," he said earnestly. "In here, we've shared so much. It almost feels like... like we're real to each other."
Y/N nodded, a weak smile on her lips. "You've become so important to me, Sunoo. In this world, at least."
There was a pause, a heavy silence filled with unspoken questions.
"Y/N, I need to ask you something," Sunoo said, his voice hesitant. "Are you... Are you real? Like, in the real world?"
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. She had wondered the same about him. "I am real, Sunoo. And you? Are you just a dream to me?"
The question hung in the air, a bridge between their dream world and reality, waiting to be crossed.
.
As Y/N and Sunoo sat under the vast, twinkling stars of their dream world, they found comfort in sharing the realities of their waking lives. Y/N spoke of her day-to-day experiences, her close relationship with her best friend, the challenges and rewards of her job, and her budding ambition to write a book.
"What are you planning to write about?" Sunoo asked, his eyes reflecting a sincere curiosity.
"It's still a work in progress. I've got a bunch of ideas, but nothing concrete yet," Y/N replied, a contemplative expression on her face.
"You know," Sunoo suggested thoughtfully, "you could write about something like our story - a girl and a boy meeting in a dream world."
Y/N's eyes brightened at the suggestion. "That's actually an intriguing idea," she said, her mind already spinning with potential plots and characters.
Their conversation then shifted to Sunoo's life. Initially hesitant, he opened up about being a member of the K-pop group ENHYPEN. Y/N, familiar with K-pop only through her friend, was fascinated.
"I've never really followed K-pop closely, but this is so interesting. Could you sing something for me?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
To their amusement, a guitar and a microphone appeared as if conjured by the dream itself, eliciting laughter from both. Sunoo picked up the guitar and sang one of his favorite songs, his voice echoing beautifully in the dream-scape. Y/N listened, completely captivated by the melody and his voice.
"That was amazing," she said, genuinely impressed. "I'll definitely look up ENHYPEN when I wake up."
As dawn approached, their dream avatars began to fade. "I wish we had more time," Y/N whispered, feeling a pang of sadness.
"I know," Sunoo replied softly. "But we'll meet again, here."
Waking up, Sunoo was brimming with excitement and rushed to tell his bandmates about Y/N. "She's real, guys! Y/N is a real person!" he exclaimed, his face flushed with exhilaration.
Heeseung, intrigued, chimed in, "This could be like a red string of fate kind of thing. A soulmate connection."
Sunoo's heart pounded at the thought. If Y/N was indeed real, he was determined to meet her in the real world, not just in dreams.
Meanwhile, Y/N woke up with a sense of urgency. She immediately researched ENHYPEN, and to her astonishment, there he was – Sunoo, exactly as he appeared in her dreams. She listened to their songs and was instantly drawn to their music.
"He's real," she thought, a mix of disbelief and excitement washing over her.
In the following days, their dreams grew more vivid, their connection deepening. Y/N couldn't stop discussing it with Emily. When she finally revealed Sunoo's identity, Emily, a K-pop fan, recognized the name.
"This has to be more than coincidence," Emily exclaimed. "It sounds like fate. You should go to Korea. Find him!"
Y/N pondered the idea but hesitated, fearing the uncertainties. What if Sunoo didn't remember the dreams? What if he wasn't the one sharing these dreamscapes with her?
"But you didn't even know about ENHYPEN before this," Emily argued. "How could you dream up someone you've never seen? There's something more to this. It's fate, Y/N."
On the other side of the world, Sunoo was en route to an event with ENHYPEN, his mind occupied with thoughts of Y/N. He was eager for nightfall, to return to the dream world and perhaps discuss meeting in reality.
However, his thoughts were abruptly shattered by a catastrophic crash. The vehicle he was in collided with another, and everything around him faded into darkness. A high-pitched ringing filled his ears, and then silence.
When Sunoo regained consciousness, he found himself in the dream world once again, on the familiar hill, but under a bright daytime sky. Confusion and fear gripped him as he pieced together what had happened. He realized he was in a coma, trapped in the dream world, alone without Y/N.
Panic set in as he considered the implications. He was stuck in a liminal space, disconnected from both his waking life and Y/N. The thought of being alone in this dream world, uncertain of his fate and longing for Y/N's presence, was overwhelming.
Sunoo sat there, under the glaring sun, grappling with his new reality. Y/N's day at work was as busy as ever, but amidst the rush of tasks and deadlines, a sudden, inexplicable chill ran down her spine. She paused, glancing around the warm room, feeling an unsettling sense of disquiet. Something felt off, but she couldn't pinpoint what it was.
Trying to shake off the feeling, she continued with her work, but a heavy weight seemed to settle on her shoulders, an unexplained burden that persisted throughout the day.
Exhausted, Y/N finally made her way home. She hoped a hot shower might dispel the unease that clung to her, but the warm water did little to soothe her troubled mind.
Deciding to turn in early, Y/N headed to bed, hoping sleep would offer some respite. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she drifted off into a deep slumber.
In her dream, she found herself once again on the familiar hill, surrounded by the sparkling stars and the gentle glow of fireflies. The dream's beauty was a stark contrast to her day's unease.
She then heard her name being called. Turning around, she saw Sunoo, his presence instantly lighting up her world. Her heart skipped a beat, as it always did at the sight of him.
Sunoo smiled at her, but his eyes betrayed a different story. They held a depth of emotion she hadn't seen before. Y/N rushed to him, and they embraced tightly, the hug lingering longer than usual. Sunoo's embrace was firmer, more desperate.
Sensing something amiss, Y/N whispered, "Is everything alright, Sunoo?"
He was cautious with his response. "I'm fine, just a stressful day with work. You know, the usual idol life. But I'm glad I'm here with you now," he replied, masking his true turmoil.
Despite his words, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. However, she decided not to press further, comforted by his presence.
As the dream continued, they walked hand in hand, fingers intertwined. Then, Sunoo broached a subject they'd both been dancing around. He spoke of meeting in the real world, expressing how much she meant to him in this dream space. He confessed his feelings, his voice laced with hope and longing.
Y/N's heart leapt at his confession. She felt the same, longing to bridge the gap between their dream and reality. Sunoo stopped and turned to face her, cupping her cheek gently in his hand.
"Sunoo," she whispered softly, her emotions swirling.
He leaned in, and their lips met in a tender, longing kiss. Y/N wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. The kiss deepened, a warm breeze enveloping them, making the moment feel astonishingly real.
Their lips were a perfect match, and his touch was warm and reassuring. When they finally pulled apart, they rested their foreheads together, their eyes locked in a silent conversation of longing and love.
But as the dream began to fade, Y/N noticed she was the one disappearing while Sunoo remained. Confusion clouded her face as she saw the pain and regret in his eyes, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Why are you not fading? What's happening, Sunoo?" she asked, panic rising in her voice.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N," Sunoo murmured, his voice breaking as he struggled to maintain his composure. "I'm so sorry."
Before she could ask more, Y/N faded completely, leaving Sunoo alone in the dream world. He sat there, tears streaming down his face, realizing the gravity of his situation. He was stuck in a coma, in a dream world without Y/N, waiting endlessly for her return.
In the real world, Y/N woke up feeling a deep sense of loss, the remnants of the dream lingering in her mind. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong with Sunoo. The dream had felt too intense, too emotional. She tried to convince herself it was just a dream, but her heart refused to believe it.
Y/N spent the day distracted, the image of Sunoo's tear-streaked face haunting her. She knew she needed to find out more about him, to discover if her fears were founded in reality.
Meanwhile, Sunoo remained in his coma, trapped in the dream world, a prisoner of his own mind. The loneliness was overwhelming, each moment stretching into eternity. He longed for Y/N, for the sound of her voice, the touch of her hand. The realization that he might never wake up, never see her in the real world, filled him with an indescribable sadness.
.
The monotonous beeping of the hospital machines filled the room where Sunoo lay motionless, his bandmates Riki, Jungwon, and Sunghoon keeping a solemn vigil by his side. They had been fortunate, traveling in a different car and escaping the collision unharmed, but their thoughts were consumed by Sunoo’s condition.
In another room, Heeseung lay with a broken arm, surrounded by Jay and Jake, who bore the marks of the accident in the form of bruises and cuts. Heeseung’s voice was filled with concern. “How’s Sunoo? Any change?”
Jake shook his head somberly. “He’s still in a coma. It’s been two weeks already.”
Back in Sunoo’s room, Jungwon voiced his worries. “Do you think he’ll ever wake up? It’s been so long.”
Sunghoon, deep in thought, pondered aloud, “I wonder if he’s still seeing Y/N in his coma. Maybe he’s happy there, with her.”
Riki quickly interjected, “Don’t talk like that. He’s going to wake up. We have to believe that.”
Their conversation shifted to Y/N, the girl who had become an integral part of Sunoo’s dreams. “If she’s real, like Sunoo said, we should try to find her,” Jungwon suggested.
“But she could be anywhere in the world,” Riki pointed out, skepticism in his voice.
Not wasting a moment, Sunghoon was already searching on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram, using the drawing Sunoo made of her as a reference. After a few minutes, he found a match on Instagram.
“That’s her. The name matches, and though it’s not perfect, the drawing kind of looks like her,” he said, showing them the profile. The quote in her bio read, “When dreams and reality collide,” and “Do you believe in fate?” Her profile song was “Dreamstate” by Dayseeker.
He clicked on one of her videos, where she spoke in an English accent about a dream where she met a guy, and how real it felt. Another video discussed meeting the same guy again, finding out they were real and sharing dreams, and asking if anyone believed in fate.
Later, Jake entered Sunoo’s room, phone in hand. “I found Y/N,” he announced. The group decided to leave the hospital to discuss how they could contact her.
Meanwhile, Y/N was haunted by an unsettling feeling that something was terribly wrong. The recent dreams with Sunoo were tinged with sadness, and he always remained when she faded away. Driven by a sudden impulse, she searched for ENHYPEN online. Her heart skipped a beat as articles about the car crash loaded on her screen. Seeing Sunoo’s face and reading about his two-week coma sent a shock through her system.
It all made sense now – why Sunoo hadn’t told her, why he seemed so pained in their dreams. He was scared that he might never wake up and never meet her outside the dream world.
Tears streamed down Y/N’s face as the realization sank in. Without a second thought, she booked a next-day flight to Korea and arranged a hotel stay. She had to see him, had to be there, even if it was just to sit by his side. The thought of Sunoo, alone and trapped in a coma, was unbearable.
As Y/N meticulously packed her bags, her mind was a whirlwind of emotions. Anxiety and fear intertwined with a hopeful anticipation. The thought of Sunoo, alone and unconscious in a hospital bed, propelled her forward. She clung to the belief that somehow, her presence would bridge the chasm between their shared dreams and the stark reality.
Meanwhile, in Korea, the ENHYPEN members gathered, weighed down by the gravity of the situation. They discussed how best to connect with Y/N, the enigmatic girl who had captured Sunoo's heart in a world of dreams.
"It's like something out of a fairy tale," Riki mused, a hint of wonder in his voice.
"But it's real for Sunoo," Heeseung added, his voice tinged with concern. "We have to do something. We owe it to him to at least try."
The group agreed, determined to find a way to bring Y/N and Sunoo together in the real world.
As her plane touched down in Korea, Y/N was overcome with a mix of emotions. She hurried to her hotel, her mind racing with thoughts of Sunoo. Uncertain of how to proceed, she decided to explore Seoul and locate the hospital where Sunoo was admitted.
Finding herself in a quaint cafe in the heart of Seoul, Y/N waited in line for a coffee, trying to gather her thoughts. As she stood there, lost in thought, Jay, who was just ahead of her in line, turned around.
Their eyes met, and Y/N offered a polite smile and a timid "hello" in her limited Korean.
Jay did a double-take, his eyes widening in recognition. He turned to her, a mix of curiosity and excitement in his eyes. They engaged in small talk, and when Y/N mentioned her name, Jay's demeanor changed.
"Wait, you're Y/N? The Y/N from Sunoo's dreams?" he asked, his voice rising in excitement.
His enthusiasm drew the attention of other customers, causing Y/N's face to flush with embarrassment. She nodded, confirming his suspicion.
"Yes, I'm Y/N. And you must be Jay, Sunoo's bandmate," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady despite the surreal nature of the encounter.
Jay's excitement was palpable. "I can't believe this! You're actually real. Sunoo talks about you all the time and about his dreams. We've been trying to find you!"
Y/N's heart raced at the confirmation that her connection with Sunoo extended beyond their shared dream world. "I came as soon as I found out about the accident. How is he? Can I see him?" she asked, her voice laced with worry.
Jay's expression sobered. "He's still in a coma. It's been tough on all of us, especially knowing how much he cares about you. Let me call the others, and we'll figure out how to get you to see him."
As Jay made the call, Y/N's mind was a flurry of thoughts and emotions. The reality of Sunoo's condition hit her hard, yet the fact that she was now connected to his world, his friends, gave her a glimmer of hope.
Jay hung up and turned to Y/N. "The guys are as shocked as I am. We're going to help you see Sunoo. He needs you now, more than ever."
As Jay and Y/N stepped out of the cafe, clutching their coffees, a wave of emotions washed over them. They met with the rest of ENHYPEN, who were equally shocked, emotional, and eager to meet Y/N, the girl from Sunoo's dreams.
Together, they made their way to the hospital, convincing the doctor to let Y/N see Sunoo by explaining she was a close friend. The weight of the moment grew heavier with each step towards Sunoo's room.
Y/N's heart pounded with a mixture of nervousness and anticipation. She chose Jay and Jake to accompany her into the room, while the others waited outside, their expressions a mix of hope and concern.
As they entered, Y/N's gaze immediately fell upon Sunoo, lying there in a coma, looking peaceful yet unnervingly still. The rhythmic beeping of the machines filled the room, a stark reminder of the gravity of the situation.
She took a seat beside him, gently taking his hand in hers. Her voice was soft but filled with emotion as she spoke to him. "Sunoo, it's Y/N. I'm here. I found you."
In the dream world, Sunoo sat on a deserted beach, feeling isolated and desperate. He had tried everything to wake up, even attempting to sleep within the dream, hoping it would somehow trigger his return to the waking world. He longed to see Y/N, to relive the memory of their kiss in reality.
As he wallowed in his sorrow, a faint voice began to break through the solitude. It was soft and distant, yet unmistakably Y/N's. Confused, he stood and followed the sound, her voice growing louder but still without a physical presence.
Then he heard her say she was with him, next to him in the hospital. Sunoo felt an inexplicable warmth in one hand, as if it was being held. Tears flowed freely down his cheeks. Y/N was there, with him, yet he was trapped in this dreamlike prison.
Back in the hospital, Y/N continued speaking to Sunoo, recounting their dream encounters and the kiss that had sealed their connection. Jay and Jake exchanged looks of astonishment; the details Y/N described matched Sunoo's dream narratives perfectly. The kiss, however, was new to them, as it had occurred during his coma.
As Y/N kissed Sunoo's hand, a single tear escaped from Sunoo's closed eyes, rolling down his cheek. His hand, in her gentle grasp, squeezed hers ever so slightly. It was a small, yet profound response, indicating that something was reaching him, breaking through the barriers of his comatose state.
Jake, witnessing this subtle yet significant reaction, hurried out of the room to find the doctor. The hope that had started as a flicker was now burning brighter.
Jay and Y/N remained by Sunoo's side, Y/N holding his hand, talking to him, urging him to find his way back to them. Each word was a lifeline, an anchor trying to pull Sunoo back from the depths of his unconsciousness.
"Sunoo, please come back to us. We're all here waiting for you," Y/N whispered, her voice breaking with emotion. "I'm here, Sunoo. Please, wake up."
In the bustling hospital corridor, Jake hurriedly explained to the doctor about Sunoo's reactions to Y/N's presence. "It’s Sunoo. He squeezed her hand and there were tears," he said, urgency lacing his voice.
The doctor, intrigued and cautiously optimistic, followed Jake back to Sunoo's room. The other members of ENHYPEN clustered around, a mix of hope and anxiety in their eyes.
Upon entering the room, the doctor observed the scene – Y/N holding Sunoo's hand, speaking to him with a gentle, unwavering voice. "Continue talking to him," the doctor encouraged Y/N. "It seems to be reaching him."
Encouraged by the doctor's words, Y/N spoke about Sunoo's music, expressing her longing to see him and his group perform live one day. She then shifted to talking about her book, how it was shaping up, inspired by their shared dreams.
"I can't wait for you to read it, Sunoo. It's our story, from a different perspective. And if you wake up soon, it'll have the happiest ending," she said, her voice filled with hope.
Finally, Y/N gathered her courage to express the words she had longed to say, words that Sunoo had only hoped to hear. "Sunoo, please. I love you," she whispered, clear and heartfelt.
In the dream world, Sunoo heard her confession. Tears fell from his eyes as he began to fade from the dream, his voice echoing in the space, "I love you too, Y/N. I'll tell you again when I wake up."
Back in the hospital room, a sudden change occurred. Sunoo's body jolted slightly, his grip on Y/N's hand strengthening as his eyes fluttered open. Jay and Jake gasped in disbelief, their eyes wide with shock and joy.
Jake spoke first, "Sunoo, are you okay?" But Sunoo's voice was hoarse, barely a whisper, betraying his long silence.
Sunoo's gaze then shifted to Y/N. His eyes, clouded with confusion, slowly roved over her face as if trying to place her in his awakened reality.
Y/N's heart plummeted with fear. Did he not remember her? Did their shared dreams mean nothing now?
But then, Sunoo blinked, and his expression transformed. The confusion gave way to recognition, then to a bright, knowing smile.
"Y/N..." he murmured, his voice weak but filled with warmth.
The doctor, witnessing the scene, was visibly impressed. "This is remarkable," he said, turning to the others in the room. "His response to her presence, it's extraordinary."
Y/N's eyes brimmed with tears, a mixture of relief and joy washing over her. "Sunoo, you're awake," she said, her voice trembling with emotion.
Sunoo tried to speak again, his voice barely above a whisper. "Y/N... I heard you... in my dreams."
The room was filled with a profound sense of wonder and elation. The other members, standing just outside the door, peered in, their faces lit up with smiles and tears. They had witnessed something miraculous - a bond so strong it transcended the barriers of unconsciousness, a love that had woven itself through the fabric of dreams into reality.
As the doctor began to check on Sunoo, ensuring his vital signs were stable, the atmosphere in the room was one of quiet celebration.
As the days passed, Y/N's visits to the hospital became the highlights of Sunoo's recovery. Each time she walked into the room, his face would light up with an unmistakable smile, a testament to the profound connection they shared.
During her visits, they talked endlessly. Sunoo shared more about his life as an idol, the ups and downs of his career, and the camaraderie he shared with his group members. He regaled her with anecdotes – humorous, embarrassing moments from their practices and casual hangouts, which brought laughter and groans from the other ENHYPEN members when they were around.
Then came a day when they found themselves alone, the room quiet except for the two of them. The mood shifted, becoming more intimate and reflective.
Sunoo turned to her, his expression serious yet filled with warmth. "I heard every word you said while I was in the coma, in the dream world. I remember all of it."
Y/N's heart fluttered at his confession, knowing that her words had reached him even in his deepest slumber.
Seeing the small space beside him on the bed, Sunoo shuffled, making room. He motioned for Y/N to join him. With a mix of shyness and excitement, Y/N carefully climbed onto the bed and snuggled close to him. The moment felt surreal, yet so right; her heart skipped a beat as he wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close.
Lying there, with her head resting on his shoulder, Sunoo whispered, "You mean so much to me. It's incredible how a dream brought us together."
Y/N looked up into his eyes, their gaze locking in a moment of deep understanding and affection. She leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on his lips, which he eagerly returned. When they finally pulled away, Sunoo echoed the words she had whispered to him in the hospital room before he awoke.
"I love you. I've wanted to say that for so long. It feels good to finally tell you now," he said, his voice tinged with emotion.
"I love you too, Sunoo," Y/N replied, her own voice filled with love and sincerity.
They leaned in for another kiss, a tender and sweet affirmation of their feelings.
It was during this intimate moment that Heeseung and Riki walked into the room, pausing at the sight of the two cuddled up together. For a moment, they just stood there, taking in the scene before them.
Riki couldn't help but tease, "Look at this, Heeseung. Seems like our Sunoo has found his dream girl, quite literally."
Heeseung smiled, a soft chuckle escaping him. "I guess dreams really do come true, huh?"
Sunoo and Y/N broke their embrace, both blushing slightly at being caught in such an intimate moment. Yet there was a sense of rightness to it, a feeling that what they had was meant to be.
"Guys, give us a moment," Sunoo said, his voice playful yet earnest.
Riki and Heeseung nodded, stepping out of the room with knowing smiles. As the door closed behind them, Sunoo turned back to Y/N, his eyes shining with happiness.
"This is just the beginning for us, isn't it?" he asked, his hand gently caressing her cheek.
Y/N nodded, her heart full. "Yes, the beginning of something beautiful."
The day Sunoo was finally discharged from the hospital was filled with a palpable sense of excitement and relief. The members of ENHYPEN and Y/N waited in the lobby, chatting amongst themselves, while Sunoo went to freshen up and change into the clothes his bandmates had brought for him.
When he emerged, dressed in his own clothes, the change in his demeanor was striking. His smile was brighter, his steps lighter, a clear sign of his eagerness to leave the confines of the hospital. He walked straight towards Y/N, wrapping his arms around her waist in a warm embrace, a gesture he had longed to make.
“I’ve been dreaming of this moment,” Sunoo said, his voice filled with happiness.
Y/N smiled, feeling his warmth. “I’m just glad you’re okay and out of here,” she replied, her heart swelling with affection.
As they exited the hospital, Sunoo asked Y/N about her remaining time in Korea. She mentioned she had a few weeks left, and his eyes lit up with plans.
“Then we’re going to make the most of it,” he declared. “I’ll take you to all my favorite places – the cafes, restaurants, everywhere I love in Seoul.”
The days that followed were a whirlwind of joy and exploration. Sunoo took Y/N on a tour of his world, sharing his favorite spots and creating new memories together. Their happiness was evident to all who saw them, and it wasn’t long before the news that Sunoo had a girlfriend – a special girlfriend – became known.
As the day of Y/N’s departure back to England approached, Sunoo’s mood turned visibly melancholic.
He clung to her, his face etched with a playful yet genuine pout. Y/N reassured him, “I’ll be back, Sunoo, and next time, for longer.”
The other ENHYPEN members watched from the car as Sunoo said his goodbyes. They had all grown fond of Y/N and would miss her presence. She had become more than just Sunoo’s girlfriend; she was a friend to them all.
As they shared their goodbye kiss, Sunoo, being his cheeky self, deepened the kiss, drawing a mix of laughter and blushes from both of them.
Back in England, Y/N recounted her entire experience to Emily, who was almost in disbelief. “I was joking when I said it might be fate, but this… this is like a miracle,” Emily exclaimed, her eyes wide with amazement.
Y/N smiled, her heart still full from the memories of her time in Korea. “It’s more than fate, Em. It’s like a dream come true,” she said, her thoughts drifting back to Sunoo, the dream world they had shared, and the reality they had created together.
Months passed, and the bond between Sunoo and Y/N continued to grow stronger despite the distance. Their daily conversations were filled with laughter, shared dreams, and plans for the future. Sunoo, ever enthusiastic and endearing, never missed an opportunity to express his excitement at seeing Y/N's face or hearing her voice over the phone.
As they chatted one day, Y/N was busy finalizing the details of her next trip to Korea. "I can't wait to see you again, Sunoo. We have so much to do together," she said, her voice tinged with anticipation.
"I'm counting down the days, Y/N. Every moment until you're here seems to stretch on forever," Sunoo replied, his tone playful yet sincere.
Curiosity getting the better of her, Y/N ventured to ask about Sunoo's fans' reactions to their relationship. "How are your fans taking the news about us?" she inquired gently.
Sunoo chuckled before responding, "I shared our story during a live broadcast. You should have seen their reactions! They were completely in awe, especially when I told them how you reached out to me during my coma."
"That's so sweet," Y/N said, her heart swelling with affection. "I'm glad they're supportive."
"You have no idea how much your love and support mean to me, Y/N. It's like a constant source of strength," Sunoo confessed, his voice soft yet filled with emotion.
Y/N smiled, feeling the warmth of his words through the phone. "And you to me, Sunoo. I feel so lucky to have you in my life."
The next day, Emily burst into Y/N's room with an infectious grin, brandishing two tickets to an ENHYPEN concert. "Guess what? We're going to see ENHYPEN live, front row! And it's in America!" she announced excitedly.
Y/N's eyes widened in disbelief. "You're kidding! That's amazing, Em!"
Emily, bubbling with excitement, continued, "I've planned everything – the flights, the hotel. And just think, you'll get to surprise Sunoo!"
Y/N laughed, a mixture of happiness and nerves fluttering in her stomach. "He's going to be so surprised. I can't believe you did this, Emily!"
As they made their preparations for the trip, Y/N couldn't help but feel a thrill of anticipation. The thought of seeing Sunoo perform live, of being there in the crowd, watching him on stage, filled her with an indescribable joy.
"Sunoo has no idea what's coming," Emily teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"I can't wait to see the look on his face," Y/N replied, her heart racing at the thought.
The days leading up to the concert were a blur of excitement and planning. Y/N and Emily talked endlessly about the trip, from what they would wear to how they would surprise Sunoo.
Finally, the day of the concert arrived. As they took their seats in the front row, the anticipation in the air was electric. The lights dimmed, and the crowd erupted into cheers as ENHYPEN took the stage.
Y/N's heart pounded in her chest as she watched Sunoo perform. He was incredible on stage, his presence magnetic. As their eyes met during one of the songs, Sunoo's expression shifted from surprise to pure joy.
He flashed her a smile that spoke volumes, a smile that said, "I'm so glad you're here."
Throughout the concert, Y/N and Emily were swept up in the energy and excitement of the music and the crowd. It was an unforgettable experience, made all the more special by the shared glances and smiles between Y/N and Sunoo.
After the concert, as they waited backstage to see Sunoo, Y/N's nerves returned. She fidgeted with her concert bracelet, her mind racing with what she would say to him.
"You're going to make his night," Emily reassured her, giving her a supportive squeeze on the shoulder.
When Sunoo finally emerged, his eyes immediately found Y/N in the crowd. He rushed over, wrapping her in a tight embrace that lifted her off her feet. "I can't believe you're here," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
Y/N hugged him back just as fiercely. "I wouldn't have missed it for the world," she said, her voice muffled against his shoulder.
As they pulled away, Sunoo's bandmates gathered around, each taking their turn to greet Y/N and Emily. The atmosphere was one of warmth and camaraderie, a perfect end to an already perfect night.
As the date of Y/N’s return to Korea drew near, she brimmed with excitement, not just for the reunion with Sunoo, but also for the surprises she had in store for him. Her book, Dream State inspired by their unique journey, was now complete – edited, proofread, and ready for publication. But that was only part of the surprise.
The main revelation, which she guarded closely, was her successful application for a work visa. She was moving to Korea for a substantial amount of time, a decision driven by her desire to be closer to Sunoo and to explore the new chapter of her life that had begun to unfold there.
Upon landing in Korea, Y/N felt a mixture of nerves and excitement. She headed straight to the place where she and Sunoo had agreed to meet. As she saw him waiting, her heart skipped a beat. He hadn’t noticed her yet, giving her a moment to admire him from afar.
Taking a deep breath, she walked up to him. “Sunoo!” she called out.
Sunoo turned, and his face lit up with pure joy at the sight of her. In an instant, he closed the distance between them, lifting her into his arms in a warm, enthusiastic embrace. Y/N wrapped her arms and legs around him, laughing as he spun her around.
“Y/N, you’re here! I’ve missed you so much,” Sunoo said, setting her down but keeping her close.
“I’ve missed you too, Sunoo. And I have some surprises for you,” Y/N replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
“A surprise? For me?” Sunoo’s curiosity was piqued.
“First, my book is finished. It’s all about our story – from dreams to reality. And it’s being published soon,” Y/N announced proudly.
“That’s amazing, Y/N! I can’t wait to read it,” Sunoo said, his eyes shining with pride.
“But there’s more,” Y/N continued, her heart pounding with anticipation. “I’ve got a work visa. I’m going to be staying in Korea for a lot longer than you think.”
Sunoo’s eyes widened in disbelief, and a moment later, his face broke into a wide, ecstatic grin. He pulled Y/N into a passionate, enthusiastic kiss, his happiness palpable.
As they broke the kiss, both of them breathless and grinning, the members of ENHYPEN approached, having witnessed the scene from a distance.
“Looks like Y/N has more than just a visit planned,” Heeseung commented with a smile.
“This is incredible! We’re going to have you around for a lot longer,” Jungwon added, his tone light and cheerful.
“Welcome to Korea, Y/N,” Jay said, joining in the chorus of welcoming voices.
The group’s reaction filled Y/N with a sense of belonging and joy. As the group chatted and laughed, making plans for the coming days, Y/N felt a deep sense of contentment. She was exactly where she was meant to be – with Sunoo, surrounded by friends, in a country that was quickly becoming her second home.
The days that followed were a blur of happiness and new experiences. Y/N started her new job, immersing herself in the culture and life in Korea. She and Sunoo spent every possible moment together, their love growing stronger with each passing day.
Sunoo often joked that their love story was like a fairy tale, one that he had never imagined would become his reality. Y/N would smile and remind him that sometimes, dreams do come true.
Their story, which had begun in a world of dreams, had blossomed into a beautiful reality, filled with love, laughter, and endless possibilities. And as they looked into each other’s eyes, they knew that this was just the beginning of their happily ever after.
