Idk about you all, but if a zombie apocalypse happens I'm just gonna turn into Ned Kelly. Get me a big suit of metal and some guns and I'll wander the bush like it's nobody's business.

day nineteen - ptsd
notes: for those who wanted a follow-up to 'presumed dead' and 'survivor's guilt', this one's for you
TW for (another) plane crash
read on AO3 or below
Trauma was a beast. It didn’t discriminate against who it affected or how, it just did. Trauma could (and would) change every aspect of your life. Trauma could make you unrecognizable.
Kelly Severide was completely different after the plane crash than he was before.
To the untrained, unfamiliar eye, Kelly seemed fine. He did his job to the level of excellence that was usually associated with him, he still hung out off-shift at Molly’s with the rest of the crew, he still taught classes at the Academy, and he still spent the rest of his free time with Stella. Those who knew Kelly, however, knew better.
They were aware of the nightmares and sleepless nights, how he often isolated himself in the firehouse, how he was quieter than usual, and how he was still attending regular therapy appointments of his own volition despite already being cleared by the CFD’s psychologist; they saw it all.
It has been six months since the plane crash and Kelly’s friends and teammates still struggled to find a way to help him. In the initial days after the accident and Kelly’s return to Chicago, the CFD chaplain and psychologist stopped by the station to help them all through the shock and trauma. The further removed from the situation they got, the easier it became to return to “normal”.
But not for Stella. And definitely not for Kelly. Their “normal” died when the plane went down and now, they were grappling with what their new normal would look like.
It was a challenge they faced every day.
… … …
Kelly was having a good day—a good week—for the first time in months. He’d been sleeping better, was more talkative, and had even started teasing Capp again. It was a welcomed sight for his wife and teammates.
But all good things must come to an end, as had been the usual for a while now.
It all started when Squad was called out with Squad 7 to a rescue on Lake Michigan. Dispatch had reported a crash and they assumed, at first, that a few boats had collided. Pulling up to the scene, they quickly learned that was not the case.
There, slowly sinking in the water of Lake Michigan, was a small plane. One of the wings had already sunk below the waterline and the rest of the plane was sure to follow soon. There was no time to waste; if there were still survivors, they needed out as soon as possible.
Cruz, Capp, and Tony shared a look before looking at their Lieutenant. This call was going to be a hard one, one that was sure to stir up some very unpleasant memories. If he needed to sit this one out, if he needed them to step up, they would with no hesitation and with no judgment. Even the guys from Squad 7 shot a look to Severide–news of the plane crash and Kelly’s almost demise had quickly made the rounds through the CFD, as had the after effects on Kelly. The CFD rumor mill was strong and things like that tended to spread fast.
They all watched as Severide took a deep breath and steeled himself. In a surprise to no one, Severide jumped right into action and started dishing out orders and directions. Within seconds there were Squad divers and boats in the water heading towards the plane.
… … …
It was a hard rescue, physically and emotionally. The damage to the plane was worse than they expected and of the six passengers on the plane, three were still alive but only one made it to the hospital alive. It wasn’t until after all the bodies and rescuers were out of the water that all of the victims of the crash were in the same family.
The ride back to the firehouse was a quiet one; no one spoke, no one made the usual jokes to help lighten the mood as they normally did after rough calls. There was a heaviness in the truck, memories of a situation so similar just a few months prior stirring up all too familiar feelings of grief that the loved ones of the victims lost today would be feeling.
When they pulled back into the station, Cruz, Capp, and Tony all climbed out of the truck as soon as it was parked. They were almost to the common room before they realized Severide wasn’t following them. Turning to look back at the Squad truck, they noticed Severide was still sitting in his spot in the passenger seat, staring off into space.
“Should we?” Capp asked, gesturing towards Severide and the Squad truck.
Cruz sighed and shook his head. “Give him a minute and we’ll send Stella out to talk to him.”
They continued into the common room where the rest of their teammates were.
“Hey! Squad’s back!” Mouch called out. “How was the call?”
The members of Squad sighed and collapsed into the first seat they could find. They were bone tired, not just from the physicality required during the rescue but the emotional drain as well.
“That well huh?”
“A plane crashed into Lake Michigan,” Cruz answered, blankly. “Six victims, all members of the same family. Only one made it to the hospital alive and it’s touch and go.”
The rest of the team sat up quickly in their seats at the mention of a plane crash. Stella, specifically, looked ready to throw up. All the fear and emotion from six months ago came flooding back at the mere mention of a plane crash. “Where’s Kelly?”
“He’s in the truck still.” Cruz started but before he could finish Stella was out of her seat and rushing to the truck bay.
The others watched her leave.
“How is he?” Boden asked, fully prepared to call in replacements for both his Squad and Truck lieutenants.
“He was great at the scene—collected and professional as always.” Tony answered.
Capp continued. “He kind of shut down in the truck on the way back though. Then again, we all did.”
“It shook him up more than he wanted us to see,” Cruz added. “And now that he doesn’t have a rescue to focus on, I think it’s all hitting him.”
Boden nodded. He couldn’t imagine what the Squad Lieutenant was feeling. “I’ll call in a floater for Kidd.” He looked at Cruz. “You okay to lead Squad for the rest of shift?”
“Yes Chief.”
… … …
Stella knew Kelly needed to go home after that call. She knew he wouldn’t be in the right headspace to continue the rest of the shift. She would’ve been more worried if he’d tried to fight her and Boden on the decision but the fact that he accepted being sent home without so much as a word told Stella the call had affected him far more than she realized.
Kelly didn’t say a word the entirety of the ride home or the trip up to the loft. He barely made it in the front door before dropping his bag and heading to take a shower.
Stella didn’t push or try to get him to talk. She knew he’d come talk to her eventually; she could see it bubbling up just under the surface.
She tried to keep the nerves at bay while waiting for Kelly to get out of the shower but as ten minutes turned to thirty, Stella became even more worried. She made her way to the bathroom and knocked on the closed door. “Kelly?”
She heard the shower still running but didn’t hear a response from Kelly. Opening the door, Stella entered the bathroom where she found Kelly on the floor of the shower, pushed up against the glass wall with his knees to his chest. Despite not being in the water’s direct stream and the water still being hot, Kelly was shaking.
Stella grabbed a towel, quickly turned the water off, and knelt down in front of Kelly. She draped the towel around him and it was then that Stella realized Kelly wasn’t shaking from the cold–he was shaking from the hyperventilating sobs wracking his body. Recognizing a panic attack, Stella moved closer to Kelly, the knees and legs of her jeans now thoroughly soaked from the shower floor, and grabbed his hand. “Kelly? Hey, focus on me. I need you to breathe..”
“I - I can’t.” Kelly choked out.
“Yes you can,” Stella nodded encouragingly. She moved his hand to her chest. “Focus on my breathing.”
It took several agonizing minutes but Kelly finally managed to get his breathing under control. When Kelly was ready, Stella helped him dry off and get changed and sat him on the couch with a cup of coffee while she quickly ducked into their bedroom to change herself.
She joined Kelly on the couch and her heart hurt to see his hands still shaking. Stella just hugged him close, vowed to be there for him whenever he was ready to talk, and prayed this was just a blip in his recovery and not an entire setback.

Tumblr media
Word Count: 974

A/N: Okay, so I had a bit of trouble with getting the words out for this one, so I don’t know how I feel about it but here it is I guess. I just wrote this today, so you know haha.
BRETTSEY MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Matt glanced at Sylvie’s last message to him from a few hours ago.
Out for a call, I’ll call you after.
He’d typed a usual reply but he hadn’t heard back from her. It wasn’t like Sylvie to be out of contact for so long, even when she was on shift. She’d always found time in between to send him a message to let him know that a call went well, as did he. It was a little thing they did now that they found themselves so far away from each other.
Now, Matt was starting to get worried, so he reached for his phone again and dialed his best friend’s number, but even Kelly’s phone rang and rang before the line cut out.
Matt was about to try someone else when Kelly’s name lit up across his screen again.
“Sev.” Matt answered the phone.
“Hey, Casey.”
“I haven’t heard from Sylvie in a few hours, I’m starting to get a little worried. Is everything okay?”
There was a short silence.
“I’m not being weirdly overprotective, alright? She usually doesn’t…” Matt started to defend himself to his best friend when Kelly interrupted him.
“Look, she didn’t want me to tell you in case you got worried but she’s in the hospital.”
Matt froze. “In the hospital like dropping off a patient in the hospital?” He asked, even though he knew the answer.
Kelly didn’t answer.
“What do you mean she’s in the hospital, I thought it was a routine call!” Matt’s stressed voice burst through.
Kelly told Matt as much as he knew - it had been a routine call, 61 had responded to a call by themselves but something had gone wrong and there’d been a collapse.
“She was in a collapse?” Matt shot to his feet.
“Casey, she’s okay. I got her out, alright? But they wanted to keep her in just to be safe, to make sure the concussion wasn’t too serious.” Kelly assured him, although even Kelly knew that it was easier said than done. He’d been in Matt’s shoes before. He still remembered the time he’d got the call that Stella was in the hospital after the car accident, and he’d practically flew to the hospital. At least, he’d been in Chicago, Med was just a drive away. Matt must feel ten times worse.
“Matt, Stella and I got her, alright? I’ll get her to call you.” Kelly assured, before they both hung up.
Tumblr media
Sylvie looked up when Kelly stepped in.
“You told him, didn’t you?” She asked, just a little reproachfully when she saw the look on Kelly’s face.
Kelly put his hands out. “Sorry. In my defense, he was already kind of freaking out.”
Sylvie narrowed her eyes at him but sighed. “I’ll call him. I didn’t want him to you know feel all…”
“Casey?” Kelly ventured as Sylvie paused. “It’s Casey.”
Sylvie glanced at Stella who threw a grin. “Exactly, like how Kelly will be Kelly.”
They exchanged a smile and Stella stood. “Call him, and we’ll swing by again later, alright?” She squeezed her best friend's hand.
Sylvie nodded. “Thanks, guys.”
Sylvie watched them walk out before she picked up her phone to call Matt.
Tumblr media
Sylvie hadn’t even realized when she’d nodded off to sleep but she was woken by a touch on the top of her head. Part of her wanted to keep her eyes closed because she was sure it was a dream. This was Matt’s touch, and it was most definitely a dream.
But reflexively, she opened her eyes, Matt’s face now swimming into view.
At first, Sylvie thought she was still in the process of waking up, until she realized…
“Matt?”
The worried expression on his face quickly gave way to a smile.
“Sylvie.” Her name passed his lips in tandem with a sigh of relief.
“What are you… You’re…”
Matt just smiled, leaning forward to put his arms around her, his hand going protectively to the back of her head gently. “You okay?” Matt asked.
“I’m… Matt, why are you here? What about the boys? You…”
Matt smiled and turned, just as Griffin and Ben walked in. “It was their idea.”
“Hey Sylvie. Matt was going out of his mind, it was getting a little hard to watch.” Griffin greeted, as Ben just quietly put a basket down on her table, nodding with a smile.
Sylvie smiled, swiveling her head back towards Matt, who reached down for her hand.
“I told you I was fine. I called you to tell you it was a stupid concussion, at least after Severide outed me.” Sylvie said, making a face. “You didn’t have to fly all the way here. I'm only still in the hospital because Chief said I have to stay.”
Sylvie glanced at the clock. “It is literally the middle of the night, how did you even get in?”
Matt smiled and shrugged. “Pulled a favor. I did use to work in Chicago.”
A smile flit across Sylvie’s face and Griffin smiled, dragging his brother out of the room on the pretense of going to get food from the vending machine.
“I was worried.” Matt whispered.
Sylvie just quietly pulled Matt back down into a hug, closing her eyes against his chest. “Can I be a little happy that you guys flew here for a stupid concussion?”
Matt smiled, pressing a kiss to Sylvie’s temple. “You can be ‘a lot’ happy. We’re staying for a few days at least.”
Sylvie leaned backwards to look at Matt, who smiled. “The boys are on break, I pulled my emergency furlough. Their stuff’s already at Sev’s.”
Sylvie raised an eyebrow and Matt smiled. “They’re staying with Sev tonight. I’m going to be here.”
“It’s just a concussion.” Sylvie said, although she couldn’t have been smiling any wider.
Matt smiled back. “And?”
Sylvie shook her head and Matt just leaned forward to press his lips gently against hers.

What’s your top 5 favorite Rollisi moments?
I apologize, as this ask was sent days ago and I'm just now getting around to it because ya know, life, and because I took my sweet time thinking over these scenes.
It's a long one, under the cut!
1. The Scene (the kiss). This kiss has everything. It’s unexpected yet long overdue. It’s tender, it’s loving. There’s swaying. There’s standing on tip toes to reach Tol and there’s bending down to reach Smol. There’s water, city lights, a romantic atmosphere. There's tears (barely) but it's an excuse to touch faces! There's cheek caressing, there's longing, lingering stares, there's hesitance in transitioning from best friends to lovers. Light banter, nervous laughter. THE UNFINISHED SPEECH. I know I'm all over the place with this but SO ARE MY FEELINGS. So much has led up to this moment and I must say, the payoff was excellent. Perfect first kiss.
2. The Fight. Dare I name the one fight they got in that caused them to be labeled “toxic” by haters? I do dare. Why, one may ask? *shakes out piece of paper* Though they are fueled by their lack of sleep and unsaid feelings for each other at the time, there’s still some bite to Amanda’s bark on her part. She’s clearly upset over him leaving her, feels abandoned. Perhaps this is a feeling she’s used to from her own family trauma, but Carisi leaving the precinct particularly hurt not only because she has strong feelings for him at this point, but because he was the only one that ever was there for her in a way no one else was. I think she came to rely on him more than she may have even realized and that all spilled out in that small fight in the squad room. And he was so taken aback, obviously thought she was happy for him but of course she’s going to tell him she is because she doesn’t want to hurt him. The fight is so natural, happens unexpectedly but develops organically. The main reason it’s my number two? Giddish and Scanavino’s best acting, imo. And I’ve only seen the actual scene about three times because it makes me semi uncomfortable. It’s uncomfortable watching people argue. It was so intimate and clearly turned personal, it almost feels wrong to be watching them go at it (in a bad way. Heh). But I think that’s a testament to the acting! A+++ scene! I dream of writing a fight scene as well as this one!
3. The Hospital. Truly, this episode was packed with Rollisi moments from start to finish. I love every moment we get with them individually (hand grab, anyone? Or when he makes her LAUGH at such an emotional moment in the hospital. I could go on about this scene in detail but I’ll stop). My favorite moment of the episode is actually the last scene of them. After Rollins gets rid of her father's (ex) wife, she’s so proud of herself for doing what she feels is right and that reflects in her face when she smiles at Carisi. It’s so simple and subtle, but there’s so much love in that look. Kelli is a master at giving these loving looks and perfect expressions. It’s also a wonderful contrast to how she used to look at Carisi in the beginning - from season 16, when she thought he was a bit of a goof. Now she looks at him like he hung the got damn moon. We don't get to see Carisi's face here, but I imagine he's looking quite amused at her, maybe even charmed by her a little bit. I'm also obsessed with the way Amanda's eyelashes flutter down when he moves closer to her. Flirting over Amanda's bedridden father? The ✨romance!✨ Swoon!
4. The Elevator. This used to be number one for me, until we got the goodness in season 22. There’s something very special about this hug. It’s not even a hug, really. It’s clinging, desperate, need that one particular person and only this person kind of thing. It’s, of course, devastating that Rollins had to go through the whole thing with Bucci and possibly leaving her children without a mother, but like I said, something special about the way this led to letting the audience see who she really trusts as she let’s herself fall apart and into Carisi’s arms. Sure, she trusts her squad, but she also wants them to know she’s ok at all times. Even tells her own therapist this once or twice. She even *begins* to tell Carisi she’s fine, her usual response when asked if she’s alright, but then the second he says her name, it’s like a switch is flicked and she’s sobbing into him. DON’T THINK I FORGOT ABOUT SCANAVINO. He’s always there when she needs it. He’s patient with her, kind, takes her into him with absolutely no hesitation. This scene happens episodes after their fight in the squad room. It’s clear there is no more lingering tension between them in the elevator scene. It’s the way he says “I got you” not once but TWICE, as if he needs her to hear it. Needs to make sure she understands that he’s there not just in the moment, but he’s got her always. No matter what happens between them or with their jobs — and this comes back around in his wedding speech, as well. 🤧 But also, fave part of that scene? When he holds her tighter, leans his head against hers many times, and then closes his eyes. Cannot stand to hear her sobs, or see her in any kind of pain. Oh, my heart. My heaaaaaaart.
5. Rain check. Lots of great acting here. Is anyone surprised? No, but there’s a bit of a range of emotions in this particular scene and it’s acted so beautifully, I could write a whole paper. I’ll try and keep it brief (ha, yeah right). I don’t think Amanda would ever have a problem getting a man anytime anywhere, but I do think it was a big deal for her to ask this man out. I think maybe her intentions at the time may have been less than trying for a relationship, but she was open to trying something with him. I also think it was a big deal because it felt very planned. The outfit felt planned, the way she made him laugh, the hair toss an attempt to flirt. Though she also had this vulnerability about her that only exists with him. She’s putting herself out there, she’s saying that she’s willing to try and I think that is a big step for her, even if she was only open to a FWB situation (that totally 100% wouldn’t have worked bc *feelings*). Carisi, however, rejects her. You can see in his face that he’s so reluctant to do this but he does. Obviously, he’s had feelings for the woman for so long but is protecting himself. Almost like he knows she may think she’s ready to try something with him, but he also knew it wasn’t their time yet. Also, after he tells her he can’t, the immediate disappointment Amanda has? Heart-wrenching, tbh. She looks so upset and gets off from sitting on the edge of his desk so fast. Like. BABYYYYY.
Honorable Mentions: Threats! I’m kind of cheating here, but there’s nothing like an OTP that will kill for the other. I’m -of course- talking about Carisi’s “if Rollins gets shot over this, I’m gonna take ALL of them out.” And also Amanda’s message to Mesner: “if you go after Counselor Carisi or anyone in my family again, it will be your last day on earth. I’ll kill you myself.” Ooh, there’s something so secks see about being violently protective over your significant other. I don’t condone it irl, but let me have the ✨drama✨on tv.
Thank you for this question! I had fun going over some great scenes!

Tear You To Pieces, Chapter 8
TITLE: Tear You To Pieces CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: Chapter 8 AUTHOR: fanficshiddles ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine Loki was sent to make up for his deeds by helping out The Avengers at the tower. Everyone thinks he’s changed, but he is just biding his time. He manipulates and uses someone who works there, who has a crush on him, to get exactly what he wants.  RATING: M
WARNINGS FOR THIS FIC: DARK LOKI, RAPE/NON-CON, MANIPULATION, MURDER, VIOLENCE, EMOTIONAL ABUSE, KIDNAPPING
  Kelly was almost sick when she saw a pile of bodies right by the front doors of the tower. But when she got closer, she realised it wasn’t just any pile of bodies. It was a statement.
Natasha, Clint, Tony, Pepper, Fury and Bruce. Along with some other SHIELD agents.
‘Oh god, no!’ She sobbed and took a step backwards, her entire body was shaking in fear.
She looked up at the tower and suddenly dread flooded all through her. Her sister…
‘MARIA!’ She screamed and ran into the tower, past the pile of bodies.
The lifts were all broken, the electricity not working anymore. She ran as fast as she could up the stairs, taking three at a time where possible. She was out of breath and her legs burned in agony, but she couldn’t stop. She needed to try and reach her before he did.
Even if it was eerily quiet now, except for the sounds of sirens outside the tower…
She passed some more bodies in the stairwell, it broke her heart with each one she passed. The guilt was horrible, building up within her. She couldn’t believe she had been so foolish and trusted him, believed that he had changed.
Anger rushed through her as well as sadness and guilt, but she needed to concentrate and just find Maria. But when she finally got to the top floor, she went straight to the control room where her sister normally was. There was no sign of her. Just some dead bodies hunched over the controls…
After checking her room, still she had no luck. The corridors and rooms were all falling apart. Holes in the walls and roof, lightings and wires hanging out everywhere, the place was a complete mess.
Rushing into the common room, the cold wind breezed in and made her shiver. The large glass windows were all shattered, leaving no protection from the cold.
She felt a lump in her throat when she saw Steve lying dead, his costume torn. His shield was nowhere to be seen. Loki had killed the Avengers…
About to crouch down to Steve, she noticed another body a bit further away. And she let out a wail and a cry, it was her sister.
Slowly, she walked over towards Maria’s body. ‘No, no, no, no.’ She cried as she fell to her knees beside her. She leaned over her sister and tried shaking her shoulders, but there was a huge blow to her head and her eyes were open. She was cold, so cold…
‘NO!’ Kelly screamed as she then pressed her face into Maria’s chest, utterly broken. ‘I’m sorry… I’m so sorry. This is all my fault.’ She sobbed into her.
While mourning her sister, she failed to hear Loki coming into the room, cracking bits of glass under his boots.
‘You shouldn’t be here, pet.’ Loki hummed low as he strolled across the room towards her.
She gasped when she saw Loki, and as much as she wanted to cower away from him and run, she didn’t want to leave her sister’s body either. She leaned over her sister more, tears still falling down her face. ‘You… you MONSTER! WHY? Why would you do... THIS?’ She yelled at him bravely, or perhaps foolishly.
Loki smirked as he stepped over Steve’s body without so much as a thought as he continued towards the mortal girl.
‘You should be kneeling before me, thanking me for sparing you.’ He hissed at her, drawing ever closer to her, unhurriedly, but with purpose with his large strides.
She shook her head quickly. ‘No… no! I could never thank you. You used me!’ She screamed at him.
He chuckled darkly. ‘Oh no, I’ve not even begun to use you yet. There is still something you’ve been keeping from me.’
Loki was just a few feet away from her now, with the most menacing look on his face that she had ever seen. It chilled her to the core. She knew she needed to run, she couldn’t let him reach her.
Looking down longingly at her sister for the last time, she scrambled to her feet and attempted to run.
Loki laughed at her. ‘Oh, pet. I thought you’d know by now how much I love to play.’ He growled.
Kelly ran towards the lift, forgetting it was broken. She pushed the buttons in a panic as Loki leisurely strolled towards her, unhurried and looking incredibly menacing with the biggest grin on his face.
Deciding on a different tactic, she made a run back to the stairwell door, doing a big circle past Loki as she most definitely didn’t want to end up anywhere near him.
She heard Loki chuckling darkly as she was almost there, but then suddenly he appeared right on front of her. Blocking her way out. She skidded to a halt, not wanting to run right into him. She backed away, then turned to run but another Loki appeared.
Then another, and another... Until she was surrounded by seven Loki’s, leaving her nowhere else to run. She cried out in fear and fell down to her knees, tucking her head into her arms she cried and prayed that it was all just a horrible nightmare. That she would wake up at any moment and everything would be fine…
‘Kneeling for me already, what a good girl.’ Loki teased as his clones vanished and he approached her.
He reached down and slid his fingers through her hair, seeing her visibly tremble under his touch. Both in fear and still some arousal, he could easily tell. His gentle touch turned rough as he gripped her hair and pulled her head back, so she was forced to look up at him through teary eyes.
‘Aww, come now, pet. It’s me, you don’t need to fear me…’ He hummed and slid his hand down to stroke her cheek softly. ‘Unless you misbehave and are naughty. So, be a good girl and do as you’re told, won’t you?’
Kelly’s lower lip quivered as she hesitantly nodded, not wanting to anger him. She knew his strength and power, that it was pointless to even try and get away from him.
‘Good girl, now get your pretty little ass over to the sofa and get on your hands and knees, bum facing outwards to me.’ He demanded and tilted his head in the direction of said sofa.
Her eyes widened, she didn’t make a move until Loki raised an eyebrow at her, waiting for her to do as she was told. Not wanting to risk it, she got up on wobbly legs and made her way there. She was barely at the sofa when Loki pushed her down onto it, hurrying her up.
‘We don’t have all day, pet. So don’t waste my time.’ He snarled at her as she tried to get into the position he wanted.
She let out a sob when he grabbed the top of her leggings and yanked them down along with her knickers, down around her thighs.
‘Ohhh, yes. Finally, I will get to claim what is rightfully mine. What you’ve been keeping from me all this time.’ He cooed and, with a surprisingly gentle touch, he caressed her bum first for a moment and then his fingers began to get dangerously close to her cunt.
‘Ple… please, don’t.’ She whimpered as she closed her eyes and hung her head down.
‘No amount of begging will help, pet. I should have taken you a long time ago.’ He said low as he slid his fingers through her folds.
Kelly felt sick at what he was about to do, she had thought and hoped that Loki would be her first time… But not like this, not in this way. Not this Loki.
She was nauseated at herself when she felt her body betraying her from the way his fingers were skilfully sliding up and down, rubbing over her clit that was getting more and more sensitive with every second that passed.
‘Ooo, I think you want this more than you want to admit.’ Loki chuckled. ‘You’re already getting wet, and I’ve barely even begun.’
Loki slid a finger down to her tight opening and he had just started to slowly push into her, making her whine in disagreement, when there was a loud whirring noise from outside. He looked over through the what once was a large window, to see a space ship pulling up outside.
It was some more heroes that had come to try and take down Loki. Kelly felt relief flood through her. But at the same time, more dread. As she knew if The Avengers hadn’t been able to beat him, how could anyone else do it?
Loki snarled angrily at the interruption. He looked down at Kelly, who was still shaking from head to toe and jumping at every little noise from the other heroes that were coming into the building. With a sigh, Loki hauled her up to her feet.
‘I am going to send you to safety, far from here. But you stay exactly where I put you… Because we are far from done here.’ He growled into her ear in warning and narrowed his eyes at her momentarily, then he teleported her away to safety, before going to deal with the low life heroes that had ruined his moment.
-
Kelly let out a yelp as she landed on a hard wooden floor on her bare bum, her leggings and knickers were still down around her thighs. She looked around in alarm, but was slightly relieved to see she was somewhere safe, it was a hotel room.
After getting up and pulling her leggings back up, she rushed over to the window, her eyes widened when she saw London Bridge right outside. Loki really had sent her far away…
But she quickly got her brain working and focusing, there was no way in hell she was going to hang around and wait for him to come get her, to rape her. So she bolted out of the room as quickly as possible, surprised that there was no spell on the door, but highly relieved.
No one cared about her leaving the hotel, the receptionist and everyone else was too busy concentrating on the news with what was going on in New York. But Kelly couldn’t bear to look at the TV, so she ran away, as fast as she possibly could out onto the streets of London.
-
Loki wiped out the second wave of so-called heroes with terrifying ease.
He had the biggest, most wicked grin on his face as he was surrounded by their bodies. The power was surging through him, adrenaline running high. It was the best feeling in the Universe. And he was loving every single second of it.
But this was only the beginning.
Before getting the whole of New York to bow to him, he had something else he needed to deal with first.
Kelly Hill.
He teleported to the hotel room in London where he had placed her. When he arrived in the room, he was displeased to see the bed had not even been sat on. He marched over to the bathroom and flung the door wide open, but she wasn’t there.
Roaring in anger, he stormed out of the room and flung every single door wide open as he passed, shouting her name as he walked down the corridor, causing other poor residents to scream and cower in their rooms in fear. Relief flooding them when he walked on by.
Everyone in the world knew of what he’d done in New York to the Avengers. It was all over the news and in special alerts to everyone’s smartphones.
The receptionist downstairs almost fainted in fear when Loki, enraged, approached her.
‘Room 504. Where is she?’ He snarled at her.
‘I… I… I don’t know… There… was no one… in that room… it’s empty.’ The woman blurted out quickly, shaking from head to toe.
Loki’s nose scrunched up and the vein in his neck was close to bursting as he angrily yelled out and his telekinesis exploded, causing glass to shatter and furniture to fly everywhere. Injuring a few mortals, not that he really cared as he stormed out of the hotel.
He glared up and down the road, but there was no sign of Kelly at all.

Song I Wrote To: “Sanctuary” by Welshly Arms
Note: THANK YOU. That is all I can really say. I have never written something this long and I am forever grateful for the handful of you that have stuck with it for all these months. Happy TWD 10c premiere and I can’t wait to write even more for you though I may need a break for a bit! I hope you also listen to the song for this chapter, I think it fully encapsulates the relationship between Negan and the reader! ALL OFFICIAL DIALOG IS PROPERTY OF AMC
————-
They say that Death rode on a pale horse as Hell followed behind, but they had never considered that Hell was with them all along and that they were only waiting for someone to swing the sword.
Your sword hung on your hip as the rumbling sound of the Dead crashed over you in waves. From the tower window, it looked as if the ground was alive with insects rather than crumbling bones and rotting flesh.
As soon as Gabriel sounded the alarm, you and Negan went off to help where you still could. Michonne was frantically searching for Judith who had run out after her uncle in hopes of helping. She only began to relax after Daryl had gotten through to her to tell her that they were on their way back to the tower.
They also had Kelly and Carol with them.
Gabriel was running around with blankets, extra weapons, and ever extra bottles of water for those he would be moving out of the tower as the herd got closer. You were starting to feel a bit out of sorts. You had been waiting for this moment since Beta had singled you out in the clearing during the fair and yet, you didn’t know if you were ready to face him for the last time, but you had to be.
At this point, it was either him or you.
The Walkers were a big problem, but then there were the Whisperers that moved within the herd. There was no way to properly single them out without wasting long-distance ammo. These were the days that you missed the armory back in Alexandria.
The only guns in the group were Gabriel’s shotgun and Rick’s colt python in which Judith carried. It wasn’t enough and you knew that. The only hope that any of you had was that Michonne and Gabriel’s plan of diverting the horde would stand up.
When Daryl and the others returned, Gabriel explained what he wanted to do.
“Is that even going to work?” you asked as you stood in the hallway.
“It’s the only thing we’ve got,” Gabriel said. “If we can get the stereos working and lead the horde away, it may be the only thing capable of drawing away this large of herd.”
“What about the Whisperers in the herd?” Kelly asked. “Isn’t their whole thing herding the Dead towards a certain area?”
“Negan said that it’s more complicated than that,” you said. “It’s not an exact science. If they try to force the Walkers, they start to become more aware of the Living among them. It never ends well.”
“Meaning what?” Carol asked.
“Meaning I don’t like our odds,” Michonne said.
“Neither do I,” you agreed.
“It’s either this or we wait to be slaughtered,” Gabriel said. “And considering we got kids in here, I don’t like that idea at all.”
“Of course not,” Michonne said. “Okay, so we get to the wagons on the outskirts and we get them hooked up, then what? Where do we take them?”
“We can figure that out once we get them away from the tower,” you said. “Beta isn’t going to stop until we are all dead. He can’t take on all of us at once so he’s using his Walkers. This may be the only opportunity that we have to get to him.”
“Beta is not the only enemy out there,” Carol said.
“That’s rich coming from you,” you shot back and Daryl got between the two of you.
“Easy,” he warned. “We are not going to get anything done by fighting among ourselves. Gabriel is right, we have to get to the wagons.”
“We have to get through that horde before we do anything,” you said.
“We’ve done it before,” Daryl said and you quickly realized what he meant as did the others. Michonne made a face of disgust along with your own.
“Well, this isn’t going to be pleasant at all,” you said.
“Never is,” Michonne added, “but we gotta do it.” Frowning down at Paul’s coat, you sighed.
“Fine, someone find us some Walkers,” you said, “and make them extra bloody.”
--------
“Have I told you yet that I hate this plan,” Negan said as you finished strapping your knives to your thighs and storing more in your coat.
“Many times,” you said with a sigh.
“And yet, you’re going through with it,” he said.
“Like Gabe said, we don’t have many other options,” you said, turning to him. “Unless you know if any RPG’s just happen to be in this very building with useable ammunition.”
“Afraid not,” Negan said with a frown.
“Then it looks like we are shit out of luck, honey,” you said as you double-checked your weapon on your hip. “I know you’re worried about me, but I have to do this and so do you.”
“Nah,” Negan said, disagreeing. “I’m not exactly an invisible force when it comes to these assholes. I’ll stick out too much, you’re going to have to do this part without me.”
You knew he was right. There was no doubt that Beta had found Alpha’s head and knew that Negan was the last one to be with her. While Beta still wanted to kill you, right now, Negan was number one on his kill list. You were just hoping that he would be too distracted with his own vengeance to recognize yours. If you could keep hold of even an ounce of surprise, then this would be a whole lot easier.
“I get it,” you said. “I don’t like it, but I do understand.”
“Thanks,” he said. You then pulled him in for a harsh kiss, putting all your passion into it. If this was the last time you held him like that, then you were going to make it count. Pulling back, you stared into his eyes, eager to see that fire. When you did, you gave him a half-smile.
“Now or never, big man,” you said. “Are you with me?”
“Damn right,” he said before pressing a kiss to your forehead. He then pushed you back towards the main hallway where you were supposed to meet Daryl in order to don your Walker disguise. As you walked away, he felt as if you were taking a part of him with you and he prayed that part would be enough to keep you safe.
----------
“Our plan is the same,” Gabriel said as Negan listened at the side. “Lead the horde away, just not from Oceanside as we had planned. Once the Walkers are clear, we evacuate to Rendezvous Point B. Luke, We ready?” Gabriel asked Luke who was standing next to Jules.
“Yeah, yeah. Uh, technically,” Luke said with an attempt at a reassuring smile. “Okay. So, these are the final pieces that we need to connect to the wagon. But in order for it to do the pied piper thing that we need it to do over the cliff, we gotta get from A to B, and I gotta plug and plug,” he said.
“And then we should be good to go?”  Kelly asked.
“Hopefully,” Luke said.
“That wagon is on the other side of the horde,” Beatrice said.
“Which is why we have these,” Daryl grunted as he and Jerry dragged in two extra-large Walkers into the foyer of the tower.
“Oh man, this is just wrong,” Luke said.
“But it works,” Gabriel said. “Trust me, I know.” Negan smirked at that, remembering that time he and Gabriel had done the guts trick to get back into the Sanctuary. That time felt like another lifetime ago now that he was thinking about it.
Negan stepped away from the group temporarily, heading to one of the vacant watchpoints. His eyes scanned the horde for Beta, but he couldn’t see the man amongst his Dead. If Beta was out there, he was staying out of sight for a reason. Negan never pegged the man as one who would lead the army. He was more of a free agent when it came to taking orders from his Alpha. However, now with Alpha gone, it seemed as if the Beta had finally taken command of the pack.
It wasn’t very reassuring.
Negan had seen some large hordes since this had all started. He had even told you about a particular one that scared the hell out of him. Negan didn’t think a tow truck would be able to get through this one even if it had a flame thrower attached to it. Michonne was right, he didn’t like their odds either.
Taking one last look, Negan turned away and headed back into the fold.
As he neared the main area of the fighters who were waiting to go out, he noticed you, soaked in Walker blood, trying not to gag. If it was any other scenario, he would think it was adorable.
It was a moment later that Daryl noticed Negan.
“Hey,” Daryl called, approaching Negan, “why you clean?”
“I ain't goin’,” Negan declared.
“You've done this more than any of us,” Daryl said. “How the hell is this any different?”
“I am on the tip-top of every skins' kill list. Especially Fee Fi Fo asshole. So, if the idea is to get through without drawing a shitload of attention, then I am the last person these people want standing next to them,” Negan said, not liking the idea of more of these people dying because of him.
“That's a bunch of bullshit,” Daryl said, shaking his head. “You wanna be a part of this? You gotta put your ass on the line just like everybody else and (Y/N) needs you by their side.”
“They understand,”  Negan said.
“Do they?” Daryl scoffed.
“Yeah, I do,” you said as you approached. “I thought we could do this together, but we can’t. At least, not this part.” Negan nodded, agreeing with you.
“We’re just leading the horde away,” Daryl said.
“You are,” you said. “I’m not.”
Daryl understood your words immediately. Negan, who had already guessed your plan, was silent as he stood by your side. Daryl was shaking his head as he looked at you. You were one of his closest friends and he was just realizing how serious you were when it came to getting to Beta. He had been so focused on Carol’s vendetta against Alpha, that he had missed the signs of your own fury.
“No,” he said, “not like this.”
“I’ve already made my decision, Daryl,” you said. “You’re not going to change my mind. Look, Gabriel is staying behind to protect the kids and I need you to disperse the herd.”
“Are you hearin’ this?” Daryl asked Michonne who was nearby.
“I am,” she said with a nod, “ and I am trusting that they know what they’re doing.”
“Fucking ridiculous,” Daryl said as he stormed away.
“Great, so if I die, he’ll be dancing on my grave,” you said as you watched him walk away.
“Daryl will be fine,” Michonne assured you. “Besides, Daryl doesn’t dance,” she said with a wink and a nod before going to follow him in preparation to leave.
-----------
You lost sight of Negan shortly after the group headed out of the tower.
While you were still covered in the Walker guts, you weren’t leaving just yet. You had a plan and you needed to stick with it. Standing across from Dianne, you watched as your family began to move through the Dead. You could make out a few of them, but not everyone. Also with the sun beginning to set, you knew that it was only a matter of time before you lost all visibility.
Everything that had happened since that first wind storm, was suddenly echoing around in your head. You had lost people shortly after that night and it just kept crashing down like that tree that collapsed the wall behind your house. You weren’t even sure if your house was still standing at this point. Aaron and Alden had radioed to say that the horde had moved through Alexandria, trampling it. They were supposed to keep on them, but then their line had gone silent and nobody was hearing from them.
It was making you nervous, not knowing where your friends were. You knew that Enid was worried, but she was staying busy, looking after the kids with Siddiq who was constantly hovering over Rosita and Coco. Considering they were the only doctors in the group, they would not be going out into the horde until it was clear. They would head straight for the meeting point and even then it was a risk to have them out there. However, you knew that they were strong fighters and that they would do everything to survive. They had proved that the night Alpha had taken them.
The Fair seemed so long ago. That moment of you walking up the hill to see your friends and family on pikes still haunted you, but you used those feelings of horror and despair to keep your vision alive. The vision you had of your future with both Negan and Lydia by your side.
You had always fought for family and you were not going to let Beta take that away from you.
A sudden scream broke you out of your thoughts as Beatrice went down in the horde. Dianne was stunned next to you as you watched the woman being torn apart by Beta’s guardians. You knew that Carol had been with her, but you couldn’t tell if she was down as well. You couldn’t look away as blood and flesh were covering the Walkers as they feasted on your friend.
Holding your head higher, you moved away from the window and headed towards the elevator shaft. Catching Negan’s eye who stood near Lydia, you nodded to him. He nodded back and with one final look, you grabbed the rope and began to propel down, adjusting your focus not on your family above, but the enemy below.
-------
“They're coming up,” Judith said, who was staring at the stairwell in horror. Gabriel pushed her back, holding her tightly.
“You all know what to do,” Gabriel said. “Dianne, you get the first group. Children and wounded come second. If Rosita argues, just come and find me.”
The evacuation went smoothly as Dianne got everyone out, even Rosita and her baby. It was going well, but Negan knew it wasn’t nearly done. There was more work to be done.
Not too far away from Gabriel, Negan spoke to Lydia. “You know how this ends,” he said with a sigh.
“I don't and neither do you,” Lydia argued, looking up at him with those big brown eyes of hers.
“Come on, kid,” Negan said. “You being here when the shitstorm hits ain't changing what definitely is happening.”
“I'm not leaving,” she said defiantly.
“They're never gonna trust me, you,” Negan said, knowing well enough that no matter who he wanted to spend his life with, he would never be more than what these people remember from eight years ago. “Doesn't matter what we do now. You can just slip out, down, and dance your way through the Dead.”
“So can you,” Lydia pointed out, gesturing to the Whisperer mask he still had in his jacket.
“Like you said, I ain't no hero,” Negan said.
“You could be,” Lydia prompted.
“Well,” Negan said, pulling her into his side. “I guess that's what I'm doing now. You be careful, kiddo, and you know what?” Negan then pulled out another mask from his coat, one that Lydia instantly recognized as her mother’s. “You take this and you use it for good, you know, if that’s something you feel like doin’, alright?”
Lydia took the mask in her hands and clutched it in a fist.
“Don’t die,” she whispered. “Please, Negan, I can’t lose any more family.”
“I ain’t plannin’ on it,” he said as he kissed the top of her head and then turned his back on the room. Lydia watched as Negan took hold of the rope that led into the elevator shaft. Not looking back, he began to descend. He didn’t stop until his boots found solid ground again.
Shoving the mask onto his face, Negan pushed out into the world, ready to face anything that it threw at him. Even if it was for the last time.
He was on the outskirts of the horde when he exited the building, but he didn’t see any Whisperers and he didn’t see you. He didn’t think you would be waiting out in the open so he figured you had disappeared into the trees or even the horde itself.
Pulling the bat off his shoulder, Negan looked down at what you had coined “Lucille 2.0”. His hand wrapped around the end of the bat, feeling the familiar grip. With a deep breath, he held it close to his face one last time. “Thanks, old girl,” he whispered before tossing the bat into the horde of Walkers. He watched as it disappeared amongst the Dead and felt another weight disappear from his shoulders.
Drawing his knife, Negan began to move through the herd in hopes of finding you and the man you were going to take down. He just hoped that Daryl’s plan started to work and that the building behind him didn’t succumb to the wave of Walkers among him.
-----------
Something was wrong, that much you knew.
You didn’t know what it was, but the horde had stopped moving in the direction of the cliffside. You could hear the crashing of metal and cracking of stone behind you as the horde moved into the building.
The only good thing was that only the Whisperers could move up into the building and you were just hoping Gabriel had enough fighters to keep them back. However, he was also trying to evacuate people so it could easily go bad very quickly.
Fresh blood was splattered on nearby Walkers and you were praying that it was Whisperer blood and not the blood of your family. You wanted to stop and search for any bodies, but so far, you had gone undetected in the herd and you needed to keep it that way.
Shouts of alarm came from the building, but you couldn’t turn back and so, you kept Walking.
It was well into the evening when everything seemed to slow down. You had been moving through the horde slowly, taking out any Whisperer that recognized you. It was easy to do, a few quick slashes and the blood would attract the Dead. However, as you killed more of them, they began to realize the enemy had infiltrated their own army.
It was a few minutes later that you saw a familiar face in the crowd. Magna moved behind a slow-moving form and then slit their throat. The Whisperer fell to the ground as Walkers fell upon them, and then, Magna was gone.
You heard more sounds of choking as more Whisperers fell to the phantom movements of your friends and family. You could never pinpoint where they were in the crowd, but soon, you began to join in the stealth mission. Using your smaller blades, you cut down Whisperers, silencing them once and for all.
When one went to stab you first, Kelly was there in a second, slitting their throat, and throwing them down to the ground. You nodded to her as you passed by and she reached out and grabbed your hand quickly before continuing on.
Everything was going as planned, but you couldn’t find Lydia. You didn’t know if she had joined up with Daryl or had stayed behind with Gabriel. You hoped that Negan had eyes on her, but you didn’t know where he was either.
As the sun finally set and darkness fell, the horde began to thin and the enemy was finally exposed.
Negan saw him first.
Beta stood amongst the dwindling Dead acting as if he was the king of them all. A moment on the left, caught both men’s attention as Alpha’s mask moved through the crowd.
Negan shook his head at the move Lydia had made. If he wasn’t sure that she wasn't, he would have thought she really was his kid considering how daring she was with taunting Beta like this.
Beta stared at her in awe until she disappeared again from view. It was enough of a distraction for Negan to move in.
He knew you had to be close so with a smirk, he let loose his memorable melodic whistle, something he hadn’t done in a while.
He just hoped that you would get the meaning. He was essentially sending up a flare in the form of a few notes. “Come get him,” Negan whispered as he approached Beta. “Hey, shithead,” he spoke louder, gaining the attention of Beta.
The larger man instantly locked onto Negan’s position with ferocity. Recognizing him, Beta charged right for him. Negan braced himself for impact when Beta threw a Walker at him. “Shit!” Negan said as the Dead man fell upon him, its jaws fighting their way towards his throat. Pulling his knife, Negan finished off the Walker, kicking it away, but Beta wasn’t done.
He threw himself toward Negan as the latter tried to get to his feet. Beta aimed his fist at Negan’s head, catching him in the temple and Negan went down hard. Blinking back the black spots in his vision, he focused back on the enemy above him.
“For Alpha,” Beta growled. Negan stared him down as Beta raised his knives above his head, ready to strike true, but a sound from his left made him turn. He snarled as you came running from the horde with your sword in your hand. Beta didn’t have any time to move as you rushed past him, your blade slashing out to the side and cutting both of the man’s Achilles tendons.
Beta yelled out in pain as blood pooled from his ankles. Negan pushed him off of him as you circled back. Kicking his knives from his hands, you reached down and shoved your blade into Beta’s shoulder. The same shoulder you had injured in your fight with him in Alexandria. Beta bared his teeth at you and that’s when you noticed the new mask on his face.
It was half of Alpha’s own face.
He seemed to be sneering at you as you reached forward and placed your hand on his throat, forcing him to look at you. “I’ll kill you,” he spat.
“You make veiled threats,” you said, quoting what he had first said to you in the clearing as your friends were being slaughtered by his Alpha. “I told you that I wasn’t going to die like this. Not by you or anyone.” Beta yelled, trying to get up and attack you when suddenly Daryl appeared out of the darkness.
Pulling his blades, Daryl brought them down into Beta’s back, keeping him in place. The shock of pain sent Beta back to the ground. Blood bubbled at his lips and you leaned in closer, making sure your face was the last one that he saw. “Killer,” Beta spat at you as Daryl pulled his blades from Beta’s body.
“No,” you said as you pulled back and then in one fluid motion, buried your sword up into his chest. “Survivor,” you corrected as you withdrew your weapon and kicked him to the ground and towards his own Walkers who smelled the fresh blood immediately.
Negan and Daryl instantly, stepped in front of you as you watched the Dead tear apart Beta. The sound of tearing flesh and the growls of the Walkers had never sounded so liberating before. Negan slowly took hold of his mask and tore it from his face, letting it drop to the ground beside him. Daryl, who had been the first one to fight Beta, let out a breath that spoke louder than words.
They had won.
“Now is it over?” you asked, leaning on your sword,
“Yeah,” Daryl said. “It’s over. Come on,” he said as he passed Negan, knocking his fist against the taller man’s shoulder. Negan then reached down and took your hand in his and without looking back, walked away from the bloodbath that had ended the war.
---------
The sun was rising by the time, you managed to find the group again.
You, Daryl, and Negan found Carol first. The woman looked as if she had been through hell, but she lit up as soon as she saw her best friend. Daryl grabbed her first, hugging her close. It immediately reminded you of when they had reunited after Terminus.
Looking around, you couldn’t find the person you had been worried about since you had dropped down the elevator shaft. “Lydia,” you said, “where is she?” Carol looked up from her moment with Daryl and approached you.
“Rendezvous point,” Carol said. “She went looking for you. Both of you,” she said, sending a look to Negan. You didn’t hesitate to start running through the trees. Negan was right behind you as you jumped over old roots and fallen branches. Your only thoughts were on Lydia and if she was okay. Seeing the break in the trees ahead of you, you slid to a stop, your eyes scanning the area.
Negan arrived right behind you, but then, he froze. He felt as if the world was suddenly pulled out from under his feet. Everything around him felt on fire as he beheld who was kneeling in front of Judith, speaking softly to her.
Maggie Rhee.
You noticed his hesitation immediately. “What’s wrong? Do you not see her?” you asked, still looking around for Lydia.
“(Y/N)…” Negan said slowly.
“What?” you asked and then he was nodding over to where he was looking. Turning, your eyes found Maggie who had finally noticed Negan. The woman was staring at him as if she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Negan swallowed thickly as Maggie stared him down.
There weren’t many people in the world that scared him as much as Maggie Rhee did and he was not looking forward to the words she would definitely be throwing at him. “Ignore her,” you said.
“(Y/N),” he said again. You grabbed him by his shoulders and turned him back to face you. He did, looking down at you with worry in his eyes.
“Just for right now,” you said. “We need to find‒”
“Hey!” a familiar voice called out and you could have sunk to the ground at the amount of relief that flooded your system.
“Oh, thank god,” you said as you turned to see Lydia running towards you. Her eyes were red-rimmed and she looked exhausted but she was alive and that was all that mattered. Lydia ran right to you, throwing her arms around you and Negan. You didn’t hesitate to follow suit, wrapping your arms around both of them.
Your family.
Negan squeezed both of you tight in his arms, finally letting his heart settle from all the adrenaline that was pulsing through him. “Is he dead?” Lydia asked as she was pressed between you two.
“He’s dead,” you whispered. “I promise, we got him.” Lydia pressed herself tighter to you before she stepped back with a relieved expression on her face. You then grabbed her and checked her for injuries. Lydia was doing the same as she checked over you and Negan. When Lydia noticed the blossoming head wound on Negan’s forehead, she became worried.
“I’m fine, kiddo,” he assured her. “I’ll take a bruise over a body bag any day.” Lydia then looked from him to you and then back at him.
“Does this mean you’re staying?” she asked, looking at him with hope in her eyes.
“Nothing is going to make me leave you,” he said. “Either of you.” Lydia let out a breath as she moved in to hug him again, coiling her arms around his waist. He held her back and sent a wink to you over her shoulder. You moved and picked up his hand, pressing a kiss to the back of his knuckles, not caring who was watching.
You would deal with her later.
“So, now what?” Lydia asked.
“Now, we start fresh,” you said, taking her hand in yours, Lydia leaned into Negan, her head resting on his chest. “And who knows, maybe we discover a little more about each other along the way.”
“I like the sound of that,” Negan said as he tugged you into his side.
“Me too,” Lydia sighed.
“Good cause I am not giving up on either of you,” you said, trying not to get emotional, but it was futile. Letting a tear fall, you smiled at them. “You’re my family,” you choked out.
“Ain’t that the truth,” Negan said as he leaned down and pulled you in for a kiss. You kissed him back quickly, knowing there was a future ahead of you filled with more. “I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you, too,” you said. “Until the end of our little universe.” Negan grinned at that as he pulled you and Lydia in closer, holding onto his found family.
There was a lot more to come and you knew that. With Maggie’s reappearance, it was not going to be easy and there were always going to be more enemies and wars to fight. However, because you had the man you loved and a kid who was a hell of a fighter, you knew you were going to be okay no matter what the new world threw at you.
After years of feeling like an outsider, you finally felt whole and it was all because you took a chance and spoke to the big bad wolf.
THE END.

not ur friend
colson doubts whether a post-break up friendship with you is a good idea, and you make the decision for him.
a/n: i wrote this at the end of march and i thought no way would i post it after colson’s birthday! but here we are lol. warning: hella angst
wc: 1.5k
You hit record on your phone and leaned back, taking in a breath.
“Let’s do this.”
You were going to sing a cover of ‘not your friend’ by Jeremy Zucker and post it on your Instagram. It was the best idea for a comeback you could think of.
Last night, your ex boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly to the world and Colson to you, posted a very long thread of tweets all about your recent break up. You knew he was either high or drunk, but he at least didn’t directly include your name in his twitter rant.
But it wasn’t like that helped very much as your relationship was very public. And the things he said about you were not the kindest, to say the least.
Colson’s last tweet was him pondering if being friends with you post-break up would be good for him. So you decided to answer his question. Luck was simply on your side because it was the 21st of April.
You strummed the blue guitar in your lap, a present from Colson to drive the point home even further. “Yeah, tomorrow is your birthday. I thought it was last Thursday, boy. We know you love a party, go celebrate and I'll be on my way to distant shores if you weren't so insecure. You'd learn to close each open door for me. Oh, babe.”
You looked up and made eye contact with the camera, feeling like you were looking Colson in the eye. “Hang up, if you ever think of calling me up. Not afraid to say it, darling. Sorry, I'm not sorry if it hurts. I don't mean to make it worse. I've decided that I'm not your fucking friend. Right now, there's not much that we agree on. Sit down if you need someone to lean on. Honest, if I'm coming to your place, it's to say it to your face. I've decided that I'm not your fucking friend.”
You smiled to yourself and let your fingers play the guitar riff after the chorus. “I’ve decided that I’m not your fucking friend.” You stopped and let the guitar notes fade out and looked at the camera.
You flipped the camera off with both hands and stopped the recording.
Colson let out a frustrated sigh when the video started again on Slim’s Instagram page, indicating it ended.
“Fuck’s sake.” He muttered, taking Slim’s phone into his own hands.
You had blocked him on every social media platform after what he did last night. There were no words to describe how guilty and stupid he felt for the now deleted tweets, but it was too late. Not only had everyone seen them and knew who they were about, him feeling guilty would fix nothing.
The fact that you even offered to stay friends after what he did to you was a blessing and he went and fucked that up too.
Colson read through the comments that you left on instead of disabling them. If it wasn’t clear who you were talking about, the comments were full of his name and his Instagram tag. And he did not blame you. He would do the same thing to himself if he were you.
You had mentioned before how you hated being known as ‘Machine Gun Kelly’s Longest Hook Up’. Every drama channel and celebrity news outlet was obsessed with your relationship, creating false break up rumors every week. He couldn’t imagine how bad it was for you now that it was really over after all this time.
He knew how badly he messed up and so did everyone around him.
“Do ‘Waste Love’.” Rook spoke up, breaking the silence.
“What?”
“Do ‘Waste Love’ on your page. As your response. It fits, you fucked up.”
“It’s not like she’s gonna see it. She blocked me on everything.”
“No, that means she’s gonna see it even more. You fucked up and you need to apologize. What you did was so fucking-”
“Alright alright! I get it. Don’t need to join the fucking choir, Rook.” Even though it pissed him off that he was right, Colson did what Rook told him to do.
His friends were right. So he sat on his balcony and recorded an acoustic version of ‘Waste Love’. His voice cracked so many times that he got tired of starting again and just left it in. He almost cried, but he didn’t. He knew if you saw it though, you would be able to tell.
Even though he wasn’t sure you would see it, he got the confirmation that you did minutes after he posted the video to all his platforms.

Colson’s leg jumped up and down like crazy as he waited for you to pick. You blocked his number, sure. But he knew you would never block Pete’s number.
You and Pete became inseparable after you got together with Colson, a bond like brother and sister. He knew that after your break up, you spent the night at Pete’s place. Pete gave him the usual ‘not mad, just disappointed’ speech when Colson begged him to come over. Pete thought nothing of it, but Colson had a plan.
As soon as Pete left the room for something, Colson grabbed his friend’s phone and locked the door. He ignored Pete’s banging on the door as he waited for you to pick up.
“Hello?” You answered, voice thick with tears. Colson’s plan didn’t really go past this, he never thought he would actually get away with any of it let alone have the balls to do it. “Pete? Are you alright? What’s going on? If you don’t talk, I’m calling an ambulance.”
Colson knew that when you were emotional, your brain always went to the worst scenarios. “He’s- He’s alright.” Colson said quietly.
You went silent when you heard his voice. “Fuck’s sake.” You sighed. “I thought I told you not to fucking call me.”
“I couldn’t, y/n. I needed to hear your voice.”
“You don’t have the right to say that anymore.” You mumbled, tears welling up in your eyes. “You lost it when you-”
“Please.” Colson choked out. “Please don’t say it. You know I never meant to. It wasn’t me. When he comes out, I lose myself.”
“Yeah, okay.” Colson could hear the eye roll in your words. “Colson, don’t call me. You’re making this worse than it needs to be.”
“I didn’t mean the twitter thing.” He blurted out, anything to keep you on the line. “I was drunk and I tried to call you. But you blocked my number, and I got so mad.”
“So you told everyone about my personal shit? Low fucking blow, Colson. I trusted you with my insecurities, and you went and aired them out to the world.” You felt yourself start, voice rising in volume and every word coming out sharper than the next. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath. “I’m not doing this again. Just… Just unlock the door and give the phone to Pete.”
“But-” He didn’t even question the fact that you knew the exact situation on the other side of the phone. You know him better than he knows himself. Even after what he did to you.
“Colson, please. I can’t do this with you anymore. I just can’t. You have to deal with the consequences of your actions. Give the fucking phone to Pete.”
Colson pulled the phone away from his ear and looked down at it in complete disbelief.
It really was over.
He slowly walked to the door and unlocked it, finding Pete sitting on the floor with the most furious look on his face. He didn’t say anything, he just stood up and took the phone out of Colson’s hand.
“Hey, I’m sorry. He locked me out and…” Pete’s words to you sounded like they were coming from above the surface to Colson’s drowning ears. He numbly slid to the floor and just looked down at his feet.
He didn’t know when Pete hung up the phone with you. Or when Pete sat down next to him, until he slid his arm around his shoulders.
“I thought she was the one.” Colson mumbled, eyes still staring at nothing in particular.
Pete just sat in silence, waiting for him to keep going.
“I knew she was. Is. Is the one. Can’t imagine my life without her.” Colson continued. “Had it all planned out.”
“Colson, man.” Pete sighed. “You’ll get over it. You just need time.”
“I was gonna marry her.”
Pete couldn’t say anything even if he wanted to. Marry her? Was this the same Colson he knew?
Colson’s hand went to his pocket and he pulled out a ring. “I bought it a couple months ago. Was waiting for that special moment. Or I didn’t have the balls. I’m not sure. But I missed my shot.”
“Fucking shit.” Pete whispered, everything hitting him now. The gravity of the situation. He knew how bad you were taking it. But he didn’t know Colson was in love in love. “You fucked up real bad.”
“I fucked up real bad.” Colson chuckled dryly and nodded, twisting the ring between his fingers. “Happy fucking birthday to me.”

Back In Town Pt. 1
Summary: You come back home after a 24 month long deployment and see Jay Halstead and Greg Gerwitz your best friends but you also see your ex who you never thought you would see again.
Pairing:  Reader x Adam Ruzek, Kelly Severide, Jay Halstead, Greg ‘Mouse’ Gerwitz, Intelligence
Warning/s: Mentions of guns, cheating
Tumblr media
You walked into Molly's a local bar that had opened up while you were overseas in Afghanistan. You grew up in Canaryville alongside Adam Ruzek who you dated for many years until you found out he had cheated while you were in Iran for the first time. After 5 years together you had to call it quits. You sat down at the bar ignoring that you were in your uniform, spending your first few hours back in Chicago in a bar.
"You're new about here what can I get you?" An older guy asked as you placed your hat on the bar
"Whiskey on rocks please" You answered with a small smile. You ran your hand over the last name embroidered on to the hat "Y/L/N" it read. If you had asked yourself 3 years ago what name would have been on that hat you would have replied "Y/L/N-Ruzek". You wanted to keep your last name cause you were the only girl left on your side of the family. The man handed you a Whiskey on rocks
"Y/L/N When did you get back in?" You turned around to see Jay Halstead leaning on the bar next to you. You, Jay and Greg Gerwitz aka Mouse all severed together a good few years back but they left the army and you redeployed for a few years
"Like an hour ago although I'm back at my parents house" You scrunched your face up thinking about that
"Ditch your bags and run?" You let out a small laugh
"My bags are in my sister's car so in a way yeah"
"I've got someone you might want to see follow me" Jay grabbed your drink while you grabbed your hat placing it back on your head. To be honest you didn't need to but it was a habit that would be hard to forget
"So what you going to do now you're back?" Jay asked making small talk
"Well I'm not sure. I can be a cop, firefighter, paramedic or doctor"
"You'll decide soon enough" You nodded taking your drink from Jay and taking a sip of it
"Real alcohol tastes good" You said smiling something which was a rare sight. You were tough when you were kidnapped people found it so hard to break you they would normally just give up. You reached a table and saw 2 familiar faces. One you missed dearly and another you never wanted to see again. Greg Gerwitz and Adam Ruzek you silently prayed that Adam didn't recognise you.
"Am I dreaming or is Y/N Y/L/N standing in front of me?" Mouse asked getting up and hugging you.
"It must be a better dream than mines are" You joked hugging Mouse back being careful not to spill your drink
"What are you doing back in Chicago? When did you get in? Where are you staying? How was your parents divorce?" Mouse threw off questions and you let out a small laugh. It was amazing how easy Mouse and Jay could make you laugh even through the hard times
"Well my tour finished, I got back in an hour ago, I'm staying with my mom and my mom got everything in the divorce for obvious reasons"
"I mean how the hell did he kill someone he's harmless he wouldn't even kill a spider"
"Yeah I know" You ignored the fact Adam was staring at you as both Mouse and Jay threw their arms over your shoulders.
"We'll be back guys" Jay said as Jay and Mouse started leading you somewhere.
"Where are we going?" You asked
"Just shut up Y/L/N" Jay said and you slapped him around the head. Back at the intelligence table everyone had noticed Adam staring at you.
“I’m gonna say this for Ruzek here. She’s hot” Kevin said as Kim slapped him.
“The one that got away” Adam muttered loud enough for people to hear but not understand him
“What was that?” Hailey asked and he shrugged dowing the last of his beer. Back over to where Jay and Mouse were dragging you they pushed you down onto a chair
“Mouse watch her” Jay instructed as you finished the last of your drink
“So what was that with Ruzek back there?” Mouse asked and you shrugged
“Who’s Ruzek?” You questioned playing dumb
“Oh come on Y/L/N don’t act dumb you avoided his eyes but no one else's” You sighed standing up
“Look Mouse I’m just gonna head home” He lifted the corner of your shirt up to expose the tattoo on your hip
“A.R means Adam Ruzek he’s the one who cheated isn’t he?” You nodded slowly
“I don’t think about him when I look at the tattoo I think about my favorite gun” Mouse laughed slightly
“ArmaLite Rifle” You nodded
“Exactly” Jay walked back over with his brother Will Halstead who you wrapped in a hug. When you got back after your 3rd tour you were injured and wouldn’t let a doctor look at you until Jay convinced you to let Will look at you.
“Y/N it’s good to see you back in the 3 musketeers these 2 were getting a bit boring without you” Jay slapped his brother as you let out a small laugh “I better get back before I lose my head but it was good seeing you Y/N” You bid Will your goodbyes as Jay dragged you over to the bar
“Herrmann 3 whiskey on rocks, 3 shots” You looked at Jay with wide eyes
“I came here to have 1 drink not get drunk”
“Oh well enjoy it” He said wrapping his arms around your shoulder. The older man who you had just learned was called Herrmann handed you three shots. You, Jay and Mouse grabbed one
“To Y/L/N being back in Chicago” You all downed the shots as some guy caught your eye
“Who’s that?” You asked nudging your head towards the guy laughing with his friends at the bar
“Kelly Severide, Chicago’s womaniser I wouldn’t get involved with him”
“What happens if I just want a one night stand?”
“Then Mouse is there” He said pulling the hat off your head and handing it to the bartender telling him you’ll collect it at the end of the night. Him and Mouse dragged you back to the table they were sitting at before
“Halstead who’s this?” A blonde asked
“Yeah Jay who’s this” You heard Will from behind you causing you to turn around and slap him upside the head
“Don’t you have somewhere better to be William?”
“Y/N/N one of these days you will love me” You let out a small laugh
“In your dreams” You joked
“Ok Y/N, Will stop fighting. Guys this is Y/N Y/L/N she was in the rangers with us. Y/N this is the intelligence unit. We have Kim Burgess, Kevin Atwater, Adam Ruzek, Antonio Dawson and Erin Lindsay” You smiled
“Hey it was great meeting you all but I’m gonna go” You saw Mouse slyly point to your hip which caused you to nod slowly
“Go hook up with Severide he’s not as bad as Jay made him out to be” Mouse whispered in your ear as you hugged him goodbye. You walked over and leaned against the bar.
“You hear to get another drink or your hat?” The latina woman asked
“Just my hat please”
“I’m Gabby Dawson” She introduced herself
“Y/L/N, Y/N Y/L/N sorry the last name first is a bit of a bit” You explained motioning to your uniform
“Hey don’t worry about it give me a minute. Severide what can I get you?” Gabby asked Kelly Severide the guy who caught my eye earlier. You zoned out looking around the rustic bar for the first time. Paying real attention to all the details, the markings on the wood, the fairy lights on the ceilings and how everyone seemed to know each other.
“Hey you new about here?” Kelly Severide asked sitting on the stool next to were you were standing
“Not exactly I grew up in Canaryville but I’m just back from deployment” You stated with a smile
“Kelly Severide” He introduced himself with a smile that was hard to resist
“Y/N Y/L/N”
“I’m about to get out of here if you want a lift” He offered
“Are you sure? I don’t mind calling an uber I have great self-defence skills” You joked
“No come on”
“Hold on how do I know you aren’t about to kidnap me?” You questioned with a smile
“I saw you with Halstead and to be honest I don’t want to be on the bad side of his boss anyway I’m a lieutenant with the CFD” You let out a small hum
“You don’t by any chance have any job openings? You asked as you followed him out to his car
“I would have to ask Chief if I could have someone else on Squad. Why?”
“I’ve been deployed for the last 24 months and I need a job. I’ve got training to be a doctor, paramedic, firefighter or police officer I was really undecided after each tour” You stated as he held the door open for you. You climbed into his passenger side
“You’ve got loads of choice but I’ll speak to chief tomorrow anyway where am I taking you?” You glanced at the time
“Erm shit I didn’t think that far ahead. Just take me to a hotel nearby I can’t be bothered with my mom being like ‘oh your home’ or ‘at least you’re better than your father’ or something along those lines”
“Are you sure I have a spare bedroom and some clothes you can use”
“Are you sure I don’t want to intrude I mean you’re already driving me”
“I’m sure I’m taking you to mine”
“Thank you” You said with a smile
“Don’t worry about it I don’t have anyone at home”
“Yeah I heard you’re Chicago’s womaniser” You smirked
“Been asking about me?” You shrugged
“Don’t say you didn’t ask about me”
“Ok you caught me there but no one knew who you were” Your phone started ringing so you answered it
“Y/L/N” You answered calmly the worst going through your head
“Hey Mouse gave me your number” Adam’s voice came through the phone
“So you deleted my number”
“Did you delete mine?”
“What do you want and why couldn’t this have been a text?” You snapped
“Look Y/N I’m sorry I made a giant mistake all those years ago but you can see I’m somewhere better”
“Why am I supposed to believe you just cause your now a cop doesn’t mean I trust you” You hung up and lay your head back on the headrest
“I don’t want to impose but are you ok that sounded heated”
“My ex he cheated on me on my first deployment we were together 5 years” You said keeping it simple. You arrived at Kelly’s and he lead you into his appartment and he showed you to the guest bedroom before giving you one of his shirts and a pair of joggers. You told him you would join him after getting changed which is what you did. You were now sitting on the couch with him watching the replays of the hockey game that was on the previous night. You kept stealing glances at him and you caught him doing the same thing a few times. ‘What harm is it going to do?’ ‘One night no strings attached’ ‘He could be your boss’ All these thoughts were going through your head but you fought them off and kissed him. Much to your surprise he kissed back. Tongues and lips moving in sync until you were both struggling for air which was when yous pulled back
“I shouldn’t have done th-” You started off but he cut you off kissing you again. He picked you up in one swift movement wrapping your legs around his waist as he carried you through to his bedroom. You kicked the door shut behind you before he lay you down on the bed.
“Are you sure you want to continue?” He asked voice low as you nodded
“Definitely” You and Kelly spent the night together doing stuff you never thought you would do any time soon but it was fun. He had shift the next morning so you didn’t go for to long but it was still fun.

“Are you coming?” Hailey called up the stairs to Jay who was taking an abnormally long time to grab his shoes.
The couple had moved in together just over a month into dating, anyone on the outside may think that they were moving too fast, but to them, they’d waited long enough. So over the past few weeks Jay had slowly been moving his things into Hailey’s apartment and now that they had finally sold his place, it was official.
“Yeah I’m ready, sorry” Jay replied as he came down the stairs.
“What took you so long?” his partner questioned.
“I couldn’t find my shoes” he said honestly “I guess I’m still getting used to living here”
“We’ll get used to it, I don’t plan on letting you leave anytime soon” Hailey responded with a light chuckle and placed a soft kiss on Jay’s lips.
“Oh, don’t worry, wouldn’t have it any other way” Jay said as he reached for Hailey’s hips to pull her closer and kissed her again.
After a moment they broke apart and Hailey checked her phone for the time.
“Come on, we gotta go, the others are probably already there” she stated as she laced her fingers between Jay’s and pulled them both through the door, locking it behind her.
Stella was just waking up from a nap when she got a message from Hailey.
‘Sorry we might be a little late, but we’re on our way, see you in a bit’
“Shit” the firefighter whispered under her breath as she nudged her sleeping boyfriend awake. “Kelly, we gotta get up, we said we’d meet Hailey and the others at Molly’s”
The pair had been on shift the previous day and got home from one of the longest nights of their life that morning. Call after call they couldn’t seem to catch a break so, naturally, when they got home they slept.
Luckily they had both already showered so all they needed to do was get changed and go, they also happened to live a lot closer to the bar than Jay and Hailey did so time was on their side.
Once they were both changed and Stella had put a little bit of make up on they were out the door and on their way, due to the location of their apartment, they would actually be on time.
Natalie and Crockett made it to Molly’s first out of the three couples but they weren’t there long before Stella and Kelly showed up, closely followed by Hailey and Jay.
Nat had told Crockett about Hailey’s invitation to meet her and the other first responders at Molly’s last week and at first he was hesitant, simply because he still felt like the new guy but he quickly accepted when Nat talked some sense into him saying something along the lines of ‘Well the best way to change that is to get out and spend time with your friends, otherwise everyone will see you as the new guy forever’. He knows that he’s not technically new anymore anyway, but because of the pandemic it had been hard to be social. This meant he had made few friends outside of the hospital and despite being there a whole year before the pandemic hit, back then he was actually the new guy meaning he was just trying to get settled and wasn’t too focussed on making friends.
The group of six however had grown fairly close after spending a few long nights at Molly’s together. Stella and Hailey had become friends very quickly after Hailey helped the firefighter out when she got a bad feeling on a call and together they found the abducted kids.
This naturally lead Kelly and Jay to spend some time with each other once the detectives’ relationship was out in the open. Natalie and Crockett seemed to fit perfectly into the group, Nat being good friends with the girls already and as for Crockett, he fell into conversation easily with Jay and Kelly, all three guys having a similar sense of humour and a shared love of sports.
This was the first night that they had actually planned that all six of them would spend together and it was an idea that Hailey and Nat had when the police officer brought a victim into Med.
“Hey guys, sorry we’re late” Hailey said as her and Jay made their way to the table where their friends were sitting.
“It’s all good, nice to see you guys” Crockett replied.
Jay smiled and offered to buy the first round.
The six of them sat together at the table for the better part of an hour, sharing stories, laughing, talking about anything but work. It was like a breath of fresh air that none of them knew they needed.
Eventually the guys split off from their partners as the game started and made their way to the bar to watch it on the TV.
The girls remained at the table, looking over at their boyfriends occasionally and not being able to help but smile.
“So how are you and Jay doing?” Stella asked Hailey “ya know, with living together and being out in the open and all”.
Jay and Hailey has revealed their relationship to their colleagues just a few weeks before they started to move Jay’s stuff in. They figured it was time to tell everyone (if they didn’t already know) and they knew there was no way they’d be able to hide it once they lived together anyway.
They went to Voight first, he told them he’d known for a while but as long as it wasn’t affecting how they worked, which it wasn’t, he didn’t plan on saying anything until they did. They signed all the HR forms that they needed to and Voight told them he was glad to see them both happy and that they deserved it after everything. The partners were very relieved and grateful towards their boss and how he reacted to this new level of their relationship.
Like Voight, the rest of the unit were very congratulatory towards the partners when they were told the news, and they all payed up when Kevin reminded them that he had guessed the closest therefore won the bet. The team had had a bet on when the detectives would get together since Jay got kidnapped and shot trying to help Angela, they knew it was only a matter of time until the detectives admitted their feelings that everyone else could see were there but seemingly they had no idea about.
“It’s going great” Hailey responded “living together has been really fun and our relationship has never been a problem at work” she finished with a smile and a quick glance at her boyfriend who was now on the edge of his seat which she assumed had everything to do with the game they were watching.
“How about you? How are you guys doing?” Hailey added referring to the slight mishap that Stella and Kelly had made it through.
“Yeah is that all over now?” the doctor at the table questioned.
“Yeah yeah, we’re doing fine. You know, Kelly’s Kelly and I wouldn’t change him for anyone, but sometimes he can be a real piece of work” Stella said.
“I hear that” Natalie responded receiving a laugh from her friends.
“And what about you Nat? How’s your hot surgeon boyfriend?” Stella asked in a teasing tone with a chuckle.
“Ahh he’s good” she replied with a smile “funniest guy i know” she added receiving an ‘aww’ from both Hailey and Stella.
The three girls carried on chatting, often gazing over at their boyfriends when they celebrated something in the game or when one of them said something causing the other two to laugh loud. All three were beyond happy right where they were in that moment.
About half an hour later the game was over and the guys made their way back over to the table.
“Hey guys, how was the game?” Nat asked no one in particular as her boyfriend took a seat next to her and she leant against his side.
“Great! We won” Kelly said as he placed his hand on Stella’s neck and sat down beside her.
“We could tell” she replied, referring to the loud cheers that came from the bar when the game finished.
Jay took a seat next to Hailey and put his arm over her shoulders with his hand hanging down by her side, the perfect place for her to play with his fingers. This was something she did very often when they were eating or drinking together, whether it was across the table or leant against his side it still sent a spark through his arm to his heart.
As it got later and later the bar started to empty and eventually the group decided to call it a night. They all grabbed their jackets off the back of their chairs and made their way outside once they’d thanked Herrman who had been serving them all night.
Once they were outside they all parted ways. Kelly had his arm around Stella as she was attempting to keep him steady since he’d maybe had one too many to drink. Seeing as she still felt pretty beat from their last shift she, on the other hand, hadn’t had much to drink so was still able to drive.
Differently, neither Natalie or Crockett had held back on the drinking since they were both coming off a week being on call and not being able to drink at all so after Nat and Hailey hugged goodbye, Crockett grabbed his girlfriend’s hand and helped her into the cab he’d called.
Hailey and Jay were also probably ok to drive but decided against it based on the fact that they didn’t actually live that far away and it would definitely be safer to walk.
It was a cold evening so Hailey was hugged closely into Jay’s side as they started walking, one of her hands in her pocket and one around his back, his in a similar way but due to their height difference his non-pocketed hand was over her shoulders not around her back.
‘Tonight was really fun, thanks for inviting us all Hailey’ Nat sent to the group chat with Hailey and Stella that they had made one evening for a reason they can’t remember as her and Crockett made it back into her apartment.
“Hey, thanks for making me go tonight, I really do love spending time with the guys” Crockett expressed to his girlfriend as he took his shoes off and hung up their jackets.
“Is it only the guys you wanted to spend time with?” Nat responded in a flirty tone.
Crockett smiled and decided to play along “Yeah, well, there is this one girl that I wanted to see”
“Oh yeah, who would that be?” Nat said as she looped her arms around his shoulders.
“She’s a doctor at Med actually” he continued the joke “brunette, really pretty, funny too” the surgeon continued as he placed his hands on Natalie’s hips.
“Hmm, she sounds great”
“Oh, she is”
And with that, the couple connected lips and he lifted her up as she wrapped her legs around his waist. Their kiss deepening as they made their way into the bedroom.
Stella and Kelly’s arrival to their apartment was a different story. Stella parked her truck outside and they steadily made it up the stairs to their door. Keeping Kelly close to her side, she unlocked it and made her way straight towards their bedroom where she lay her already half-asleep boyfriend down.
She attempted to keep him awake long enough to get him changed but she very quickly gave in to just removing his shoes and his jacket then laying down next to him after getting herself changed and falling asleep too.
“Hails?” Jay called from their bed as he heard the shower turn off.
“What’s up?” his girlfriend responded as she walked out of the bathroom towel drying her hair.
“Your phone’s been going off, Nat and Stella saying thanks” he explained, handing her her phone.
“You reading my messages huh?” Hailey prodded playfully as she folded the towel up and put it down, climbing in to bed next to Jay and taking her phone from him.
He couldn’t think of anything witty to say in response so instead he gave her a quick kiss on the lips and pulled her close to him.
On their walk home they had both admitted that they weirdly weren’t that tired so Jay decided to find something for them to watch on TV while she checked her phone as they lay side by side, his arm behind her head and their legs tangled together under the bed sheets.
Hailey let out a quiet laugh as she opened the group chat and saw a picture of Kelly passed out in bed that Stella had sent followed by a message saying, ‘some of us maybe had too much fun’.
Her laugh caused Jay to turn to look at her phone too, the picture making him chuckle. “I’m honestly not sure how Kelly had so much more to drink than me or Crockett” he said, causing Hailey to laugh.
She put down her phone and hugged closer into Jay’s side, placing her head on his chest. He placed a kiss in her hair and they both turned their attention to the TV and fell asleep pretty quickly, clearly a little more tired than they had originally thought.

Baby Now and Forever
Tumblr media
Summary: R gets turned into a baby. Alex gets black mail opportunities,  and Lena can’t get away.
A/n: Baby Danvers is now a baby
Warning: Cuteness overload, I think
Lena Luthor x Reader, Kara Danvers x Reader, Alex Danvers x Reader
Word Count: 2261
Kara didn’t see it coming. It’s in the Danvers Sister’s blood to protect. No one had any idea what the weapon was going to do.
“(Y/n)!” Kara ran to the pile of clothes.
Alex punched the guy, for a brief moment she looked towards her two sisters. She was in shock seeing just a pile of clothes before she grabbed his collar.
“What did you do!” Alex kept punching.
He only laughed even when Alex punched. Kara moved your clothes out of the way, her mouth hung open as her hands trembled.
A piercing scream, Alex knew all too well, made the other laugh harder as Alex stood frozen. Having the perfect window for opportunity, the man dressed in all black ran towards his ‘baby gun’, or that’s what Nia had gone to call it later on.
“She shouldn’t have ran, it would’ve done nothing on Supergirl.” He wiped an imaginary tear. “Now she’ll have to live with it!” He held the gun above his head.
“No!” Alex couldn’t get there fast enough as Kara had you in her arms. The gun crashed to pieces before he was stunned and fell onto his back.
The Danvers trio entered through the D.E.O balcony. Alex on one side of Kara’s arms while you were on the other, wrapped in her cape.
“Agent Dox, do we have anything on this gun?” Alex huffed, she had countless nights in which you had kept her up. She was not about to do it again.
“I would have to look through the pieces to find a solution.” Brainy grabbed the bin with broken pieces.
“There’s a solution to this right?” Alex yelled towards Brainy in a panic.
“Fear not! This is not permanent!”
“We better call mom, she always knew what to do.” Alex looked at you.
“I think it’ll be okay. She’s so cute Alex,” Kara cooed.
“Yeah wait until she starts crying,” Alex rolled her eyes.
“If you don’t need me anymore, I’m gonna head home. D.E.O is not a place for a baby. You’re still coming tonight for game night right?”
Kara flew off before she could get an answer.
“Kara has no idea what she’s up against.” Alex mumbled.
~~~~~
“I don’t know what you want!” Kara cried with a pillow over her head.
The moment she got home you had started crying. She did not remember taking care of Kal-El to be this hard. You were on the couch, pillows surrounding you with your snot covered, tear covered form.
The door opened on its own, and Kara has never been happier to see Eliza.
“Eliza, please make her stop crying!” Kara cried.
Eliza carried you which caused you to cry harder. “Truthfully Kara, Jeremiah was always the one to calm her down.”
Kara began to cry harder.
“Kara?” A soft voice asked from the door. The brunette stuck her head in.
“Lena!”
“Oh good. I heard a baby crying and for a second I thought I was on the wrong floor.” Lena smiled.
Your cries softened as Lena entered Kara’s apartment. Lena had to take a step back, who had a child and didn’t tell her? And why was this baby reaching out towards her?
“Kara, please tell me this baby is not any one of Superfriends. Cause I was definitely not gone for that long on my business trip.”
Kara frowned and bit her lower lip. “Well I can say it isn’t any one of Superfriend’s, but it is a Superfriend.”
Lena’s eyes widened and turned towards the figure in Eliza’s arms. She looked around the apartment and realized you were nowhere to be seen.
“(Y/n)?”
“She got turned into a baby during our mission. Brainy is working on a way to fix this now.” Kara plopped onto the couch.
You whined, almost falling out of your mother’s arms. Eliza knew that look all too well. That was the actions you would make to be held by Alex or Jeremiah. Lena paled when Eliza held you out towards her.
“She wants to be held by you.”
“I-I never held a baby before.”
“You can hold her while sitting on the couch, if you’re afraid of dropping her.”
Lena was led to the couch by Eliza’s free hand and before she knew it she was holding you in her arms. You immediately calmed down as Kara cheered.
Lena was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that a tiny human, you, was in her arms holding on to her pointer finger. She was stuck in a trance staring into your eyes.
Nia and Alex had run into each other at  the base of Kara’s apartment building. Nia was beaming with excitement as Kara had mentioned a surprise.
“What is the surprise!” Nia screamed as she pushed open the door.
Lena panicked which caused you the cry. You reached and grabbed for Lena obviously there was nothing wrong about that. But your reaching and grabbing was at Lena’s breasts.
Lena’s face flushed red while Alex laughed and pulled out her phone. Lena really didn’t want her photo taken, as people would see her incapable of childcare. She had immediately moved you into Eliza’s arms.
That wasn’t such a great idea on her part when you started bawling.
“Oh no! Mom I’m getting PTSD.” Alex covered her ears.
“Alexandra you’re being dramatic, you were six when (Y/n) was born.” Eliza bounced you open and down.
“She cried for an average of three hours every night!”
“You’re not planning to make me do all the work right? Cause when you said you wanted kids, the baby crying part is part of the whole package. We might not even get a baby, we might get a little boy or girl who has terrible tantrums.” Kelly smirked from Kara’s open door.
“Can someone please calm (Y/n) down before we talk about other babies? Superhearing here.” Kara groaned
“Well she did the best with Lena.”
“No,no as much as I love (Y/n) I can’t.” Lena shook and waved her hands.
“Okay you’re gonna have to because if not she,” Alex pointed to you. “will cry forever.”
“Who got her to stop crying when she was a baby?” Lena asked
“Jeremiah...”
“W-who is (Y/n)’s most favorite person now?” Lena asked, desperately hoping that it would not be her.
“Kara/Alex.” Nia and Kelly said at the same time.
“I am obviously not her favorite, she pulled my hair and blew out my ear drums.”
“That leaves me! I’m gonna use this as a blackmail opportunity,” Alex chuckled evilly. “Okay (Y/n), come to big sissy.”
“Sissy?” Nia smiled before Alex turned towards her with a glare.
“Not a word or I’m going to make sure Dreamer doesn’t ever wake up.”
“Alex,” Both Kelly and Eliza scolded.
You snuggled into Alex’s neck with small whimpers and whines. When it came down to it, the bond between a big sister and a little sister was one of the most loving things. You were doing okay until Lena walked towards the kitchen for a glass of wine.
You kicked and flailed, hitting Alex in her chin. She bounced and shushed you, but you were still restless. Whining and crying while looking at Lena in the kitchen over Alex’s shoulder.
Something clicked in Eliza’s mind, she carried you out of Alex’s arms.
“I think I know who is (Y/n)’s favorite person.”
“Who?” Alex asked, a bit offended.
“The lovely Lena of course.”
Lena’s head snapped up while she poured her wine to look at Eliza with wide eyes. She tried to blink the truth away before she shook her head.
“I-I can’t be her favorite person. I’m a Luthor. I’m a spawn of a devil. (Y/n)’s going to get hurt by me.”
The room looked around at each other. Kelly approached the Luthor.
“Lena hun, I don’t think that you know that we don’t see you like that. You’re a brilliant and beautiful person who has been through trauma. I understand why you might be scared, this is very new to all of us. It’s hard I’ll give you that, trying and trying to prove to everyone you’re not like the rest of the Luthors. The only person you have to prove yourself to is yourself. And I know it’s different and it’s easier said than done but if there is anyone who would support you it would be (Y/n).” Kelly comforted Lena.
Lena looked at Kelly’s smile before she turned towards you in Eliza’s arms. She took a big sip out of her wine, sighed and reached her arms out to hold you. It was the least she could do, with all the love you have given her.
She held you closely as you cooed. Lena always loved a Danvers hug, and this was no different. You had turned into a baby but there was no difference to how much love she felt.
This has all overwhelmed her as she began to ugly cry. You moved your hands up to Lena’s eyes and patted her tears away. There was just something about a baby’s innocence that was so precious. They don’t know anything in the world yet cried when their mother was distressed. To not know anything but know that pain is bad.
To have a family, despite all that you have gone through to be in your corner. Loving and cherishing you for who you are, despite the circumstances. Lena was constantly reminded by you that she was enough, if it wasn’t you it was Kara, Kelly, Nia, Alex, Brainy, J’onn and even Eliza. She also hated the fact that it took a baby to make her figure that out.
“Fear not Superfriends! Brainy has solved the equation!” Brainy held the baby gun in his arms. “Oh it seems little (Y/n) is taking a liking to being little. I will go put this away at the DEO and come back.”
“NO!” Everyone screamed.”
“You didn’t have to scream.” Brainy moved towards Alex and gave her the gun.
“Why are you giving this to me?”
“When the ray is used, (Y/n) will grow back to her adult size. Her clothes would not. Leaving her in her birthday suit. Ooh scones!”
Alex took you from Lena’s arms before motioning Kara to follow her into your room. Alex placed you on your bed and shot you with the baby gun, when you were full grown Kara sped to dress you in black sweats and a black T-shirt.
“How are we at home?” You looked around the room.
“You were turned into a baby.”
“Oh so that’s what the gun did.” You pushed yourself off the bed and onto your feet.
“It’s good to have you back, you were a hassle.” Kara hugged you.
“Oh so the Girl of Steel couldn’t handle me,” you teased. “Game night is still happening right?” You and Kara headed towards your door.
“Not so fast baby Danvers. I have a few questions to ask you.” Alex had her arms crossed.
“I jumped in front of Kara to save her because the world needed her more than me, The last thing I remember was getting hit by the gun and I didn’t steal your poptarts in your office.”
“I was gonna ask you why you wanted to be with Lena in your baby form and why,” she pulled her phone out of pocket showing you a photo of you and Lena looking at each other with nothing but love in your eyes and why you were reaching towards her boobs.
“Oh,” you blushed. “That has a very good explanation, that is because I’m in love with Lena,” you smiled.
Alex and Kara smirked at each other. “Lena!” Kara sped out while Alex wrapped her arms around you. The next thing you knew you were in your room with Lena, the door shut close. You tried to open the door but gave up trying knowing Kara and Alex were probably holding the door.
“Hi,” you smiled at Lena.
“Hi.”
~~~~~
“Babe,” Lena groaned. The baby’s cry echoing in your house.
Lena reached over towards your side of the bed and opened her eyes. Your blankets was pushed towards the middle with your side of the bed empty. Lena heard soft shushing from the baby monitor and headed towards your daughter’s room. You were bouncing her up and down but couldn’t get her to stop crying.
“Mommy has a meeting tomorrow, let’s let her sleep huh.”
Your daughter, Lauren, was still fussing. A soft knock and a chuckle came from behind you. Lauren cooed and immediately calmed down in Lena’s arms.
“She just wanted you,” you pouted.
“Don’t take it the hard way, my two girls just love me. She’s just like you, not wanting to be away from me for too long. But at least she didn’t reach for my boobs.” Lena smirked.
“You are not going to let me live that down are you.”
“Never. Like I always say...”
“Baby now and forever.” You both said together.
“I’m really regretting jumping in front of Kara now.”
“I’m not, I know you’d do the same for me and our little girl.”
“Please I would use you as a shield to protect our little girl.”
“Only if I don’t use you first,” Lena smirked.
You kissed her forehead before leading her to the rocking chair.
“You can go back to sleep.”
“No I’m gonna be with you and our baby now and forever.”

Tumblr media
You were standing in the kitchen washing the breakfast dishes as Eddie buzzed around you. He was shoving the things he would need for his shift at the 118 into his duffel bag. Everything seemed to be scattered in every corner of your shared apartment.
“So, do you have anything planned for today?” he asked, pausing to glance up at you.
“Not really,” you shrugged. “I might be grabbing lunch with Kelly but that’s it.”
“You should take some time to do something nice for yourself then. You've seemed a bit down lately and you’re always working so hard taking care of things around here. You deserve it.”
“Oh, my god, you sound like Evan,” you said, rolling your eyes. “He’s always saying I give too much, that I don’t take enough time for myself.”
“He’s right,” Eddie chuckled. “As your twin, he knows you better than anyone so you should probably listen to him. And me, because I know what I’m talking about, too,” he added, almost as an afterthought.
You smiled and shook your head at him in response. Eddie left the room, presumably to try and figure out what was taking Christopher so long to get ready for school. As soon as he disappeared from sight, the smile dropped straight off of your face. You would be doing something for yourself today, but it was neither fun nor enjoyable. In fact, it was absolutely petrifying.
A few minutes later Eddie reentered the room, Christopher in tow. “Go ahead and grab your backpack, buddy. We gotta go,” Eddie said as he walked over to you.
Your hands were stuck in the soapy, water filled sink when he approached you from the side. He rested one hand on your hip and looked at you earnestly.
“Seriously, please take some time for yourself today. Even if it’s just to walk down the street and grab a coffee.”
“I will,” you said, nodding in agreement. He smiled and pressed a quick kiss to your lips, satisfied with your response.
Christopher had finished getting his things for school and was now waiting patiently for his dad. Eddie gave your hip a quick squeeze before crossing the apartment, grabbing his duffle, and meeting Christopher at the door.
“Love you!” they both called out as they opened the door and stepped through.
“Love you, too,” you called back, the door slamming shut behind them with an eerie finality.
You looked around the doctor’s office, your leg bouncing up and down uncontrollably. To say you were nervous was an understatement. This was your second appointment this week. You had gone in for your yearly check-up, and while performing your routine breast exam the doctor had found a lump. Breast cancer was rare in women your age, but not an impossibility.
The door in front of you opened and a nurse stepped through, calling your name. You stood and followed her through the door and back to an exam room. Your nerves were skyrocketing when the doctor finally came and got you for your mammogram. When it was over, she returned you to the exam room where you waited again, this time for the results.
The waiting was the hardest part. You had waited three days between appointments, one hour in the waiting room, and now twenty minutes for your exam results. This was potentially just the beginning of the waiting, and it was already excruciating.
The doctor entered the room with a grim look on her face. She hadn’t liked what she had seen on the mammogram and wanted to do a biopsy. You would need to make an appointment with a specialist in a different part of the practice for a later date, but she wanted you to begin preparing now. Your head spun as you listened to her describe the procedure. It was pretty non-invasive, just a needle removing some cells that would be sent off to a lab and tested. You would be able to go home immediately after with slight swelling and minimal pain. The results would come back four days later. You could make your appointment with the secretary on the way out.
You walked back down the hallway toward the waiting room in a daze, unsure of how to process the information that had just been thrown at you. The doctor had insisted that there was nothing to worry about yet, but that did nothing to stop the influx of emotions that were currently coursing through your body. You stopped briefly at the front desk and made your next appointment for six days from the current one. Your motions were zombie-like as you exited the doctor’s office and headed home.
You awoke the next morning feeling unsteady. You were having trouble processing. So you decided to pretend like everything was fine.
This is exactly what you were doing when Eddie arrived home from his shift. He walked through the door and found you sitting at the kitchen table, joking with Christopher over chocolate chip pancakes.
“Hey guys.” He walked over the table, stopping to ruffle Christopher’s hair and press a kiss to the top of your head. You put some pancakes onto his plate as he slid into his chair.
“You have about five minutes until we have to leave for school,” you said to Christopher. He nodded in response before turning and starting to chatter at Eddie.
While they talked, you pushed your pancake pieces around on your plate, not at all interested in actually eating them. You were so interested in looking down at your plate that you didn’t notice the small glances Eddie was shooting your way.
“Alright, kiddo,” you said a few short minutes later. “Time to go.”
Christopher nodded, clearly disappointed, but stood anyway and walked to the counter to get his lunch.
“I’ll clean this up,” Eddie said, gesturing to the breakfast remnants in front of you.
“Thanks,” you said. You moved to get up and follow Christopher but Eddie’s hand on your arm stopped you.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just didn’t sleep well last night.” You shot him a small smile and stood up. Eddie’s eyes tracked your back the entire way as you walked toward the front door.
He sighed as it opened up and closed behind you. The smile that you had attempted to give him hadn’t reached your eyes. Something was wrong.
You ran circles around Eddie for the next six days. Every time he questioned your mood you managed to skirt around it or give some half baked excuse as to why you were acting that way. You knew he was hurt by your behavior, but you didn’t want to tell him anything until you had definitive answers. That way he didn’t have to share in as much of the waiting. It would be easier for him. You didn’t want him to worry if it turned out to be nothing.
You sent him off to his shift with a bright smile on the morning of your biopsy appointment. As you drove to the doctor’s office, you couldn’t help but feel guilty. He deserved better than what you were currently giving him, but at the moment it was all you could manage.
As soon as you arrived at the doctor’s office, you were whisked away for your biopsy. The procedure was relatively quick with minimal pain. You were slightly tender and swollen, but it wasn’t anything noticeable that would impact the rest of your day. Now, it was time for more waiting.
You were driving home when your phone rang. When you answered you were slightly surprised to hear Athena’s voice on the other end of the line.
“Hey girl, you up to anything pressing right now?” she asked.
You considered her question carefully before responding. “No, I’m just heading home.”
“Well you better turn that car around and head this way. I’m at the station making lunch and I would love it if you would join. I could use some help in the kitchen and I know a couple boys that would love to see you.”
It was an invitation you couldn’t deny. If you did, you knew she would say something to Eddie or Buck and then they would definitely know something was wrong.
“I’ll be right over!” You brightened your voice and it rose an octave.
As you hung up the phone and turned your car around in the direction of the station, you wondered when your life had suddenly become such a lie.
You wandered across the apparatus floor on auto-pilot. All you could think about was the test results you were waiting for.
As you approached the stairs, Buck came up behind you and wrapped his arms around your middle. You startled at the touch and let out a surprised gasp.
He released you instantly. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” He smiled, apologetically. “What are you doing here?”
You ran your palm across your forehead as you organized your thoughts. “Uh, lunch. Athena called and told me she was cooking for you guys today.”
“Awesome. I think it’s going to be a little while before it’s ready, but she’s upstairs. Eddie was over rolling hoses last I saw him.” He pointed towards the side of the truck as he explained.
“Okay,” you said, turning to head up the stairs.
Buck placed a hand on your shoulder to keep you from turning away. “Are you alright? You seem distracted.”
You plastered a smile on as you nodded. “Yeah. It’s just been a long morning.”
You could see that he didn’t quite believe you but he let it go, for now. You continued up to greet Athena and thank her for the invite.
Eddie walked up next to Buck as you cleared the top step. Buck looked over at him before he looked back up. “Does she seem off to you?”
Eddie frowned. “Yeah, she’s been off all week. She didn’t even come say hi to me just now. Did she say anything to you about something going on?”
Buck shook his head. “No, just said it’s been a long morning.”
Eddie sighed as he headed over towards the weight room, deciding to give you some space until lunch was ready.

The Client
Tumblr media
Featuring Football coach Chip Kelly
I'm a 24 year old male escort. A friend of mine introduced me to an escort service, and I found it to be an easy way to make money on the side while going to school. Anyway, a co-worker was sick one evening and recommended me to take his place. He told his client I had the same body type, similar looks and equally as “talented" as he was so he agreed to meet me.
At around 9:30 pm, I was knocking on his hotel door when it suddenly opened. There stood Chip Kelly, head coach for the UCLA Bruins in just a hotel bathrobe. I just stood at the door, speechless. I knew Jay's client was famous, but he never told me who it was and I never bothered to ask. I took a deep breath and said, “I’m Jerry. And you must be Mr. Smith."
"Yes, yes, Mr. Smith." He said as he closed the door behind me.
"Jay is sorry he couldn't make it tonight, but I hope I can fill in nicely." I said, sounding businesslike.
"Oh yes, you'll do fine Jerry." He said, giving me a look over. I was enjoying the role play, particularly as it was real.
As a smile began to form on Chip's face. Before I knew what happened, his lips crashed into mine, his tongue pushing its way into my mouth. Oh my god, I’m making out with Chip Kelly! We made out for a minute or two, and our hunger for each other was plainly obvious as we clawed at each other’s bodies. I pulled off Chip's robe, touching and caressing every inch of his body, trying to touch what I've only glimpsed at all this time while he almost ripped off all of my clothes.
Though not quite as hairy as some of the "daddies" I liked to see, there was plenty of body hair to enjoy. His forearms weren't particularly hairy also leading to masculine hands that I'd admired. The brown fur on his chest hung like moss on a branch. It continued down his stomach, getting darker and thicker until it ended in a black bush above his rising cock.
At some point, I laid him down on the bed, licking and sucking his nipples as I rubbed the head of his cock, spreading his pre-cum like lube. I kissed my way down his chest, leaving a trail of saliva all the way to his cock (I estimated it to be around 7 inches, and inch shorter than me). Spreading his legs wide, allowing me better access. I held his foreskin back, again working my tongue around his dickhead. My other hand was feeling the hair on his balls.
His uncut rod had a thickness that filled my mouth nicely has I slid my lips over it and took it in down to its base. I could smell that old fashioned cologne again along with his natural musk. My tongue worked his fully erect shaft as I moved slowly up and down. I looked up to Chip to see his eyes were closed and was moaning softly, "Mmm... That's it."
My left hand was rubbing his thigh while the other was holding his cock, sucking wildly on it. His breathing became really heavy as started thrusting into my throat, making me gag. Quickly, I went back to stroking his now wet cock. First slow and then fast, tugging and pulling on it while licking around the tip.
“So, Mr. Smith," I said, using his fake name.
"Jay gave me some instructions on what you like to do. Would you like me to perform them for you?" I asked with a smile on my face.
"Damn right, I do! And you’d better do it well if you want a big tip!" He teased.
“Yes Sir. What the customer wants, the customer gets!" I replied still stroking his cock.
Quickly, grabbed my jeans, took out a small bottle of lube and gave it to him before I turned over on my belly, offering my ass to him. Chip began to lube up his cock as he got behind me and he started to rub some of the jelly in my ass. I soon felt the head of his dick as he pushed the head into my pale pink button of an asshole. I gasped as the head pushed past the ring of muscle and into me. He stroked slowly, working the whole 7" into me till his hips pressed against my ass. I was in heaven having my hole stretch by a hard cock, feeling his heart beat inside me though his pulsing manhood.
He gripped my hips firmly and began to stroke in and out of me. Still slowly at first. He pulled out till the head almost slipped out then thrust it smoothly back in, each thrust felt better than the last one. His rhythm began to pick up speed and he grunted with pleasure. I could hear him getting out of breath and he was dripping sweat. Chip was soon grunting and pounding my ass like a wild animal. He fucked me harder and harder and our breathing became heavier.
"I'm cumming." He screamed and started to tense up and then was shooting in me. Each shot was hotter than the last.
When he was finished he pulled out of me and laid down on the bed beside me. I still had my hard on though as I couldn't stop thinking about how I was being fucked by Chip Kelly so it wouldn't go away. Seeing it, Chip reached over with his hand and started to jack my cock off for me.
"You have a nice cock, Jerry." He said as he continued to stroke my cock, "Why don't you just give me a good fuck?"
"Sure Mr. Smith." I said as I quickly grabbed the bottle of lube.
I took a big glop of jelly and started to put it on his firm ass, working in a finger into Chip slowly. While I finished rubbing jelly all over my cock, Chip was lifting his legs and spreading it wide to welcome me as the head of my dick penetrated my hole. It was tight and hot. Chip moaned as I started to slip more of my cock into him until I was totally inside him and my balls touching his butt.
"Aaahhh Oowww Great. Fuck me, Jerry." Chip moaned.
That was the start of the most glorious 20 minutes of intense fucking. I was impressed with Chip’s skill as a lover because it was clear that I wasn't the first to fuck him. We fucked in many different positions, each one gave him a different set of thrills. We ended up where we started, Chip on his back and I in between his opened legs as I pounded him like there was no tomorrow. His cock was leaking all over his belly and I knew from the look on his face that he was getting close to cumming.
By the time I was getting close, Chip had reached his orgasm. With a loud cry, he grabbed the bed sheets and his cock spewed cum all over his chest and stomach. His body convulsed with each spurt as he emptied out his seed onto his body. This brought on my own climax as I gave one tremendous shove and buried my dick deep inside his bowels. My dick jerked inside him as my warm fluid coated the walls of his guts. It was so intense, knowing that it was Chip Kelly who's butt I was reaming out, that I almost passed out.
It took me a minute for my body to calm down as I collapsed on top of him. I was catching my breath when I realize my dick was still rock hard, embedded deeply in his ass. Without saying a word, I gave Chip a wet French kiss. As my tongue explored his mouth, I slowly pulled my still hard cock out of my hole. But before the head cleared the sphincter, without warning, I slammed it back in really hard, making a loud slapping sound. My hips crashing into his butt causing Chip to gasp into my mouth. It started off rather slow, but 3 minutes into it, we were both huffing and puffing, the passion returned to both of us.
"You are such a good client, Mr. Smith, this round is on the house!"

Rollins Goes To Jail
Characters: Olivia Benson, Ella Alina Benson, Fin Tutuola, Kim Rollins, Amanda Rollins
Relationship: Olivia Benson/ Original Female Character
Warnings: Slight Spoilers for Season 14 Episode 15
Read on AO3
Based on Season 14 Episode 15 where Amanda's sister comes to visit her and Amanda ends up going to jail. Some episode spoilers but nothing to serious. Ella is terrified for her Aunt 'Manda and Olivia stands up for her other female detective.
Ella had just entered the precinct when she called out to the blonde woman that was walking in front of her, “Aunt ‘Manda?”
The woman turned around and Ella immediately knew that it was not Amanda looking back at her. It was her sister Kim. A pit formed in her stomach as she clutched the straps of her backpack closer around her.
“You must be that little girl Amanda is always talking about,” Kim smiled, “Do you know where she is?”
Ella shrugged pointing towards the bullpen, “In there probably. I just got here.”
Kim nodded and walked off to find Amanda. Ella turned on her heel immediately going to the back door of Cragen’s office. She knocked gently before entering and closing the door behind her. Cragen looked up from his paperwork letting out a sigh.
“What did you do now Ella? You only come in that door when Olivia is mad at you.”
Ella rolled her eyes before sitting down, “Nothing PawPaw. I’m avoiding Aunt ‘Manda’s sister. She gives me the creeps.”
Cragen nodded his head, “Alright, you can hide out here but you have to do your homework. I cleaned off that corner spot for you.”
Ella grinned and pulled her chair to the spot that had been made for her. She went to work on her assignments in the quiet of Cragen’s office listening to the slow jazz that he always had playing at a low volume from a radio that he kept in his window.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I covered for you,” Fin said as he noticed Amanda rushing into the bullpen.
“Sorry, my sister is back in town,” Amanda said, placing her coffee on her desk.
“What’s her problem now?”
“She’s..pregnant. Jeff is the father. Her abusive ex. She broke it off with him and I guess he followed up here.”
“Look if he is stalking her we can get a temp order,” Olivia said, stepping in protectively.
Olivia didn’t follow the rest of the conversation staring down at the blonde she knew was adamantly claiming that she didn’t need anyones help. She had grown very fond of the rookie now they had been working cases more closely together. It wasn’t until Amanda looked up at Olivia with pleading eyes that she snapped back into the present moment. She placed a reassuring hand on Amanda’s shoulder.
“We are family Amanda. We will protect you,” Olivia said with a look of relief washing over Amanda’s face.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Consider yourself served,” Olivia grinned as she handed the order of protection to Jeff.
He made up a couple of excuses and then he said something that made Olivia turn back, “Amanda can’t keep me from my baby.” “Want us to bring you in right now?”
Jeff shrunk away from Olivia and then her and Fin made their final exit. Out in the hallway Fin glanced over at Olivia who still had her fists clenched.
“What was that Liv?” He asked her as they climbed into the car.
“I was protecting your partner and making sure that her sister didn’t get raped again,” Olivia retorted as the car came to life.
“I get that but you are going to cut your hand with how tightly your fist is curled.”
Olivia looked down and released her hand a small curse coming to her lips as she noticed a small spot of blood forming on her palm. She wiped it away quickly and then placed it down on her black dress pants.
“I am just worried about her Fin… her sister is bad news,” Olivia said.
“But there is something more to this Liv.” “It’s not like that, Fin. I am seeing someone.”
“Well unless that person is secretly Amanda then they are the wrong person,” Fin replied as they pulled into the precinct.
Olivia didn’t reply merely pushing her way out of the car and slamming the door.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Mom! Is Aunt ‘Manda hurt?” Ella said as Olivia hung up the phone and grabbed her badge from the table.
“No, there was a shooting in her apartment. She was the one who fired the shot so I am just going to check on her and try to get in front of the issue,” Olivia sighed before kissing Ella gently on the forehead, “And no. You can not come with me. Stay here with Cassidy. He is still sleeping in my room.”
“I don’t want to be here alone with him,” Ella groaned, “He yells at me all the time. I want to see Aunt ‘Manda.”
“You can see her after she gets checked out at the hospital. I will come and get you and bring you right to her okay? For now just read your book for your and Munch’s book club.”
“You promise?”
“Cross my heart and hope to die.” Ella seemed content with this compromise and gave Olivia a hug before rushing off to her room. Olivia made a mental note to talk to Cassidy later about being nicer to Ella but for now, all of her thoughts were on Amanda. She needed to make sure that her friend was okay.

Fin, Kim, and Amanda had barely walked into Fin’s apartment Ella was pushing through the door. She still had her backpack slung over her shoulders Amanda’s hoodie hanging around her. She hadn’t taken it off except to wash it twice since Amanda had given it to her over a month ago.
“Hey kid, I know your Mom taught you how to knock before you go into people’s apartments,” Fin said as Ella rushed right past him into Amanda’s surprised arms.
“She did, but I wanted to see ‘Manda and Mom thinks I’m still at my weekly study session,” Ella shrugged.
“Oh Ella,” Amanda sighed, placing her head on top of Ella’s, “Your Momma is gonna kill you if she figured out that you lied to her and started skipping school activities. I will be fine and will talk to you after your study session."
"I'll take you back before your Mom notices," Fin said placing a hand on Ella's backpack, "I promise I will take good care of Amanda."
Ella nodded her head and followed Fin out the door after saying I love you to Amanda and giving her one final hug.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amanda entered her apartment with Fin looking around at the emptiness that Kelly had left her with. Without saying anything she rushed to her bedroom. Propped in the window was the framed picture of her and Ella. She grabbed it and hugged it close to her. Tears streamed down her face as Fin entered her bedroom.
“She left the picture of me and Ella,” Rollins sniffled, “She gave it to me for my birthday. It is the only thing that I love so I guess that is some good news.”
“How about you stay at my place tonight? Till we can figure this out,” Fin asked.
Before Amanda could respond, another voice called out to her, “Aunt ‘Manda?”
Olivia and Ella entered the bedroom as Amanda tried to quickly wipe away her tears. Ella rushed to Amanda wrapping her arms around her. Amanda kissed the top of her forehead gently. Olivia looked around the room shocked.
“Please stay with us Aunt ‘Manda,” Ella keeping her head pressed against Amanda’s chest.
“I don’t..” Amanda started.
“I insist Amanda,” Olivia told her with a small smile, “We should give Fin back his bachelor pad for a while.”
Amanda merely nodded as Ella wrapped her hand around hers. They left the apartment, locking the empty space and walking down the stairs. When they arrived at Olivia's apartment Amanda immediately felt a sense of calm come over her. Ella offered to make dinner claiming that she made the best mac and cheese of the Benson household. Olivia accepted gratefully and went to her room to find Amanda some clothes.
“You really didn’t have to let me stay Liv. I don’t mean to intrude on your space,” Amanda said, still holding the clothes Olivia gave her close to her chest.
“Amanda, I already told you it is okay. You are actually doing me a favor. Ever since you got arrested Ella hasn’t been able to sleep. The first time she stayed up all night with nightmares. Then I finally let her sleep in my room but that didn’t help much. We were both up the whole night tossing and turning. We both have been worried,” Olivia reassured her, “You are doing the Benson household a large favor by staying with us.” Amanda smiled and then went to get changed. She stood in the bathroom for a moment enjoying the smell of Olivia that radiated around her. When she stepped back out into the living room Ella was putting on her best waitress impression serving Olivia and Amanda their food. When dinner was done Ella insisted that Amanda sleep in her room with her. They spent hours laughing until Olivia’s voice finally rang out into the apartment.
“Children! Two people in this apartment have work tomorrow and a little miss thing has an exam tomorrow. It is almost midnight! Go to bed or I will split you up!”
“Sorry, Mom!” Ella called out.
“Sorry, Liv!” Amanda yelled.
After their apologies, there was another series of giggles. Olivia merely shook her head and smiled. Ella was finally happy again.

description: having a run in with some sleazy guy at a party was always your biggest fear, luckily you had your amazing boyfriend to protect you when it actually happened
pairing: machine gun kelly x female!reader

protective colson yes please!
Tumblr media
Colson smiled at his girlfriend. She awkwardly smiled back and gave him a small wave. He felt bad for dragging her here knowing that she wasn’t a fan of crazy parties like he was, but he liked having her with him. He liked showing off that he had the most beautiful girl in the planet as his girlfriend, and in general he just liked being with her. It was just one party, if she didn’t want to come again he’d never make her.
Colson turned away for just a minute to grab drinks for the two of them. He was definitely not drunk enough yet, and (Y/N) was barley tipsy. He wasn’t about to get her drunk, but he knew alcohol would help her to loosen up a bit. Again, if she didn’t want to have any more he wouldn’t force it upon her.
“How’s (Y/N) handling her first big bash?” Rook asked him, pouring himself another drink as well.
“She’s still feeling very awkward about it all,” Colson responded. “If she doesn’t feel comfortable soon I might just call a cab and go home. I feel sorta bad for bringing her knowing how she feels about these sorts of things.”
“Yeah, but it comes with dating a guy who’s known for partying, she’ll have to get used to it.”
Colson shrugged. “I mean not really. If she’s not down to come I’m not going to make her anymore. It’s a respect thing, man.”
Rook clapped Colson on the shoulder. “You know what? You’re a great man, Kells.”
Colson laughed at his friend. “I don’t think you need anymore alcohol, Rook. You seem lit enough.”
Rook waved Colson’s comment off and chugged his entire drink. Colson rolled his eyes but laughed again. Rook wiped his mouth with his sleeve and asked, “So where is your lady, Kells?”
Colson turned to where (Y/N) once stood to find her missing. His brows furrowed together as he left Rook and the drink table to search for her. He figured maybe she had gone to the bathroom or wandered off to be by herself.
When he turned a corner, he found out he was sorely mistaken.
(Y/N), who was definitely far from drunk just minutes ago, was stumbling as if she were drunk. She was pinned against a wall by some guy who was definitely way too close for Colson’s comfort. She kept trying to push him away but it was as if she didn’t have control over her own body. He was trying to kiss her, but she managed to turn her head away and mutter, “No” repeatedly.
“Come on, baby. Just one, no one will know. It won’t hurt,” he told her. Even his tone of voice pissed Colson off.
Forgetting the two drinks in his hands, Colson dropped them onto the floor and immediately attacked the guy. He grabbed him and threw him onto the ground, causing his girlfriend to collapse onto the floor, thus confirming Colson’s suspicions that she had been drugged. He pinned the guy to the ground and began punching him until Colson’s fist was red with the perv’s blood. The only thing that could stop him was his boys coming to pull him off the guy, who was also covered in his own blood.
“Who the fuck do you think you are?!” he snapped. “Just because you’re some hot shot rapper doesn’t mean you can go around beating people! You’re lucky I don’t sue your ass!”
“Go right the fuck ahead, I’ll tell the lawyers how you drugged my girl and tried to take advantage of her!” Colson snapped back.
The guy rolled his eyes. “What kind of proof do you have of that? Maybe your slut of a girlfriend just got really drunk and came on to me.”
Colson moved like he was about to lunge at the guy again, but Baze grabbed him and held him back. “I saw you approached (Y/N) and give her a drink. She refused you multiple times but you essentially forced her to drink it. I turned away for a second and when I looked back you both were gone.”
The guy’s face paled. “Th-that’s not concrete evidence. It’s your word against mine.”
“Well, I have pictures,” Colson bluffed, hoping he sounded convincing enough. “If you want to take me to court I’ll gladly show them to a judge. I’m sure they’d love to see you all over a girl who’s barley conscious and continuing to tell you no.”
Without another response, the guy quickly left. Colson was so angry he was debating running after him, but then he remembered his unconscious girlfriend. He quickly dropped to his knees beside her and picked her up in his arms. She was breathing, just unconscious.
“I gotta get her home,” he said. “Either of you sober enough to drive? I’ve had a few, and I’d rather be with her in the back in case something happens.”
“I haven’t drank, I’ll drive you dude,” Pete told him.
Colson picked (Y/N) up and carried her to Pete’s car. Colson sat in the back with (Y/N)’s head on his lap. He ran his fingers through her hair as they drove, watching her closely for any irregularities in her breathing or in case anything happened.
Why did I make her go? Why couldn’t I just let her stay home? None of this would’ve happened if it wasn’t for me.
“Did you really get pictures of the dude?” Pete asked as they slowed to yet another stop light.
“I fucking wish I did,” Colson responded. “I’d have his ass in court tomorrow. I wasn’t smart enough to get any concrete evidence, I was just so angry I beat the shit out of the guy.”
“He deserved the beating,” Pete assured his friend. “What a fucking perv. Is (Y/N) okay back there?”
“She’s still breathing. I’m hoping she’ll wake up when we get home and throw that shit up.” Anger washed over Colson again and before he could stop himself, he hit the head rest in front of him. “This is my fucking fault! Why did I make her come with me? Then I left her by herself knowing she doesn’t even like being around drunk people! I’m so fucking stupid.”
“Dude, take a breath,” Pete told him. “You couldn’t have known this was going to happen. You got to her in time, and she’s okay. Don’t be so hard on yourself.”
Colson nodded, although his worry didn’t completely leave his mind.
He thanks Pete and carried (Y/N) to their shared bedroom. He laid her down on her side and put pillows against her back so she wouldn’t roll onto her back in the night. He didn’t want to sleep next to her in fear that he’d knock the pillows away or restrain her without realizing it in his sleep. He set up a makeshift bed on the floor and, after who knows how long, he finally drifted off to sleep.
~~~~~~
He wasn’t sure what time it was when he woke up to the sound of his girlfriend throwing up. He felt exhausted, but then again he always did lately. It took him a few seconds to register what was happening before he jumped up from the floor and raced to the bathroom.
(Y/N) was sat next to the toilet, throwing up whatever little contents were left in her stomach. Her face was pale and her hair hung down on either side of her head, like a curtain blocking her face. Colson grabbed a cloth and wet it with cold water. He handed it to (Y/N) before sitting next to he and pulling her hair back out of her face.
“How are you feeling?” he asked her.
“Like shit,” she responded, her voice raspy from throwing up. She dabbed her face with the wet cloth, happy to have something cold to put against her burning face.
Colson looked down at his lap. “How...how much do you remember about last night?”
(Y/N) leaned back against him, resting her head against his chest. “I remember watching you going to get us drinks, and then this guy came up to me and asked if I wanted the drink he had picked up for his girlfriend. Told me he got it and she ditched him and he had no one else to give it to because he didn’t know anyone else at the party. I declined and said I was here with someone who was getting me a drink, and he said how that’s nice that I’d actually wait around for you and goes on about his girlfriend. I really believed him. I guess I’m just too gullible or I see the good in people too much or whatever bullshit it was, because I felt so sorry that I took it. I wasn’t planning on drinking it, but he was looking at me so expectantly that I just took a tiny sip and was going to throw the rest out when he wasn’t looking. Almost immediately I started feeling woozy, and then...”
When she trailed off, Colson wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly. “God, I’m so sorry (Y/N). This is all my fault. I’m sorry I ever asked you to go.”
“Colson, this isn’t your fault. If I remember correctly, and really I’m not sure if I do cause everything now is a blur, but you came and found me in record timing, and proceeded to beat the guy senseless when you did find us.”
Colson chuckled. “You saw that, huh?”
“It was the last thing I saw before I passed out.”
Colson kissed the top of her head and gave her a tight squeeze. “You’ll never have to go to one of those parties ever again. I won’t even go anymore. I never want to put you in danger like that again. You mean to much to me to let anything happen to you.”
(Y/N) turned in Colson’s arms to face him. She kissed his cheek and smiled sheepishly at him. “I love you so much.”
Colson smiled back. “I love you, too. Come on, I’m gonna run you a hot bath and let you relax today.”
Could Have Been More Part 2
Fandom: Chicago PD / One Chicago / Chicago Fire
Series: Could Have Been More
Part 1 // Part 2 // Part 3 // Part 4 // Part 5 (Final)
Character/s: Voight x Reader,
Warning/s: murder/death
Word Count: 1,569
Request: I really loved Could have been more are you going to do a part 2
Summary: Actions have consequences... and Y/N’s explosive relationship with Voight isn’t even the half of it
Tumblr media
Well the cat was out of the bag about you and Voight, except... there was now no more you and Voight. You’d woken up well before your alarm, lying in bed and thinking over the events of the other day until it was actually time for you to get up for shift. No one had directly said anything about it at work, you knew one of the girls had no so subtly told the others to zip it about the whole thing, but you didn’t mind, you’d rather not talk about it at work, or at all.
When your alarm finally sounded you untangled yourself from your covers and went to take a shower, hoping your head would clear and your feelings would go down the drain with the water. God this was a messy situation, and not your normal, run of the mill messy break up that you could talk about with all of your friends, where would you even start?
You had no doubt news of your relationship with Voight had gone beyond the walls of 51 now, not that anyone in Intelligence would dare say a word... okay, maybe Adam would, but he’d shut up pretty quickly.
With a sigh you shut off the water and got ready for work, eyes flicking to your phone screen, half a hope he’d call. You’d tried to call his exactly once afterwards, but you’d hung up before you could even see if he picked up or not, not that he called you back anyway. Your phone did actually ring at that moment, but to your more than slight disappointment it was just Stella telling you to move your ass, they were downstairs ready to pick you up for work.
“Ready to face the day?” Emily asked as you climbed into the back seat. It had been the end of the week when everything went down, you’d had the weekend to mull over your break up, but it also meant you hadn’t seen anyone else from work since either.
“Ready as I’ll ever be I guess,” you said as Stella took off, staring out the window as the houses and buildings passed you by, lost in thought about what the day might bring.
Sylvie squeezed your knee and brought you back into the car. “I’ll bet no one’ll even mention it,” she tried to reassure you, but it didn’t do any good, so she quickly changed the subject, and you spent the rest of the short drive discussing Capp’s new and alarming hat collection.
Shift started off... normal, to your surprise, not to say that you weren’t relieved. Sure, conversation was a little quieter than normal as you went with your partner to grab breakfast before you were inevitably pulled away on call, but the briefing had gone smoothly, and so had double checking the ambo’s inventory.
You were just about thinking you could make it through the rest of the day when Herrmann let out a very loud sigh and put his paper down as you and Sylvie took your seats at the table. Mouch shot him a glare from across the room and Ritter shook his head. You lower your fork, your egg half way to your mouth.
“Don’t-” Mouch said from the couch, rolling his eyes in defeat when Herrmann spoke anyway.
“Voight?” He asked in disbelief, combining so many questions into one simple work, when? where? why? how? what... the hell were you thinking?
Gallo suddenly found his food very interesting and Cruz threw a cushion at Herrmann, but he held his ground, eye brow raised in expectation of some kind of answer.
“What about him?” You replied, getting back to eating and trying to act as casually as possible. It looked like Kelly was trying to decide whether to intervene or disappear into his own chair when Herrmann continued.
“Oh come on, everyone here’s thinking the same thing I am, they just don’t want a bollocking from Foster-” he ignored the look he gave her and carried on, “but you can’t honestly expect us not to be a little curious, I mean, you and Voight-”
“Herrmann,” Boden snapped from across the room, entering in the door way and pointing at him, “that’s enough.”
“But Chief-” Herrmann protested, mercifully cut off by the alarm signalling the need of ambo 61 for a shooting. You gratefully shoved some more of your food in your mouth and hurried out the door with Syvlie, nodding your thanks to Boden for trying. You could hear him scolding Herrmann as you climbed in, glad to be driving so you could distract yourself.
“Sorry about that,” Sylvie said, giving you a sympathetic and understanding smile, you didn’t know what you’d do without her.
“Eh, it was what I expected, especially from Herrmann,” you replied, turning the corner and heading down a side road. Up ahead you could see several police cars and a crowd of people.
“Uh oh,” Sylvie said as you slowed the vehicle, looking for a way to get through, but the crowd was blocking the road too much and everyone was staring in the direction of the police line, ignoring you entirely. “Looks like we’re pushing our way through on foot,” she decided as you climbed out the ambo and went to grab as your med bags and a back board.
You and Sylvie pushed your way through as best you could, the police at the tape helping you through when they noticed you struggling. You saw several bodies, most DOA’s if you had to guess.
“Where do you need us?” Your partner asked, dragging you away from the site of carnage on the street as the officer pointed to a house just a little up the road. There was about a dozen police officers there from what you could tell, and they all moved out the way to let you through as you noted at least three more bodies leading up the drive.
When you entered the house you saw a man lying on the carpet, but before you could kneel down to check his pulse a voice stopped you. “Not that one, he’s gone, we’ve got a few survivors in the back,” you turned back to see Voight in the doorway, Sylvie cautiously looking between the two of you.
“Lead the way,” you told him and he nodded, gesturing you to follow him through to the back of the house. You may be hurting, but you were a professional, you’d damn well act like it and you knew he would too.
“What happened here?” Sylvie asked finally, stepping over a pool of blood and a broken vase.
“Mass murder,” Voight replied and you shivered a little. You’d never gotten used to how calm he could be around death, but he’d been doing this job for a long time.
In the back you found a few shaken and battered 20 somethings, two men and a woman, being talked to by various members of Intelligence. You headed over to the woman talking to Adam, who stepped back to allow you to check her out.
“Hey, my name’s Y/N, what’s yours?” You asked as you shined a torch in her eyes and felt the cut on the back of her head.
“Melanie,” she winced, face wet with tears. “Why did this happen?” She whispered, and you glanced at Adam as you went into your bag for some wipes and a bandage.
“That’s what we’re going to do our best to figure out,” Voight said before Adam could reply, wandering over to where you were working. Adam took that as his clue to take his leave, looking between the two of you, his eyes asking the same question Herrmann did earlier.
You finished patching Melanie up, she had a serious gash on her head that would need to be treated and checked out at Med, and a major concussion, but other than that the rest were superficial cuts and scrapes, whoever hit her on the head must have though it was a decisive blow.
Sending Melanie away with another paramedic that had arrived on scene you turned to head off towards Sylvie. Voight grabbed your arm to stop you, shaking his head and giving your arm a tug to follow him. You head off out into an emply side room.
“I need to get back to work Hank,” you told him, glancing at the door, worried who’d just seen him pull you in here, wanting to at least maintain your professionalism.
“Listen to me for a second,” he said as you noticed he never let go of your arm. He noticed too, pulling his hand away quickly and taking a step back. “You remember that case from last week?”
You nodded, “of course I do, but here isn’t really the place-” Voight cut you off, his features soft and his eyes full of concern as he spoke.
“The manager, Albert Strauss, the one who got away,” he took a breath, “this was him,” he said finally.
You stood in shock, mouth open, horror and guilt filling your mind. “What did I do?...” You mumbled, covering your mouth in shock.
“You did what you thought was right, Y/N-” he tried, reaching out his hand but you pushed it away, taking a shaky step back, your legs threatening to give out.
There was at least eight dead bodies here... what had you done?
Meant To Be: Part 9
Pairings: Machine Gun Kelly x Reader
Warnings: Swearing, drug use, cheating
Word Count: 5,975
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 / Part 7 / Part 8
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You woke up one morning two weeks after being back in the States with a familiar, uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach.
“He’s cheating on me.” You said to Sawyer when she finally came down to make a cup of coffee before she headed out back to the pool to edit a new book for the day.
“He’s not cheating.” She said as she glanced over at you as you served Gage his breakfast.
“Soy, I know this feeling. I have felt this feeling before. He’s cheating.”
“Sweetheart, just breathe. He’s not cheating on you, he’s just doing shows...”
“No...” You interrupted with a shake of your head. “No, see I know this man. I know this man so well, that I can see the signs before he even realizes he’s making the moves.”
“OK, so what are the signs?” She asked as she leaned against the counter and took a sip of her coffee. You hesitated for a moment, before simply scowling and looking over at her.
“I’m not crazy here.” You snapped. “I know that man better than I know myself. And I know he’s slept with some one else or he’s going to tonight. I can feel it to my core...”
“OK, did you try calling him?”
“Six times since I woke up.” You said with a nod as you made yourself a bowl of cereal. “No answer, no text back. He never misses his morning call...”
“OK, let me call JP and see...”
“There’s no point.” You said with a shake of your head. “If I have this feeling now, it means I’m already too late. And besides that, it’s almost concert time there, so he won’t answer.”
“(Y/N), are you sure it’s not just a pregnancy thing? Maybe?”
“No.” You sighed with a shake of your head. “Every single time this man has cheated on me, I knew.” With a shake of your head, you looked over at her with a hint of tears in your eyes. “I’m not crazy.”
“No, sweetie, I believe you.” She said with a nod as she stepped over and pulled you into a hug. “We’ll figure it out, OK?” With a nod, you started to cry for a moment, before pulling back to control yourself.
“Four hours.” You told her with a sniffle. “I’ll bet you a thousand dollars that within the next four hours, I’ll have my answer.”
“Hun, let me text Rook...”
“Don’t you dare.” You interrupted. “If that man can’t keep a fucking promise himself without having someone else breathing down his neck about it, then he can make and sleep in his own fucking bed about it.”
“OK. I won’t text Rook. But try not to obsess about it, sweets. I’m sure it’s nothing.”
“We’ll see.” You huffed as you turned to start eating your own breakfast. “We’ll just wait and see.”
“And pray for the best.” She added as she picked up her manuscript off the counter to get some work done while you both waited. You did your best to try and distract yourself for the better part of the morning, but you still religiously checked your Instagram, waiting for the backstage videos you knew the guys always posted to their stories to appear to find what you were looking for. Baze was the first one to deliver, and boy did he deliver.
“I told you.” You said to Sawyer as you walked out to the patio with your phone in your hand. She looked up from her work at the live video with her brow furrowed.
“What am I... oh.” She said as Baze turned to left, giving you both a crystal clear shot of Kels leading some blonde woman neither of you knew out of the green room by the hand. “Holy shit. Wait, this is live.”
“I told you.” You said as you took your phone back with a shake of your head. “I know this feeling. I know this man like the back of my Goddamn hand.”
“Wait, let me call Rook.”
“Don’t bother.” You replied as you turned to head back inside. “I’m going house hunting, you coming?”
“Wait... shit.” She groaned as she threw her pens in the manuscript and jumped up to chase after you. “Are you serious?”
“I told him I wasn’t playing fucking games this time.” You said as you picked up your packed diaper bag, and your son, who you had already gotten dressed and ready to go because you knew this was going to happen, whether people believed you or not. “I’m not doing this to my kids. He can get fucked for all I care now.”
“OK, well wait for me to change at least.” She said as she dashed over to the stairs.
“We’ll be in the car.” You told her as you unlocked the front door. “We have an appointment with a realtor in an hour.” The hour was more than enough time for the three of you to make it to your realtor’s office so she could help you find a nice, move in ready house to rent, and the appointment was timed perfectly so you could make the FaceTime call that put the nail in the coffin of your relationship as well.
“Hey...” Colson panted when he finally answered the call as he pushed his hair back out of his face. “Sorry, it’s been a crazy day. You OK?”
“Show me your room.” You said evenly.
“What?” He asked as panic raced across his blue eyes. “Babe, I’m trying to sleep.”
“Bullshit, Colson.” You interrupted as he got up and quickly headed over to the bathroom. “Room, now.”
“I gotta pee.” He lied.
“Show me your Goddamn room!” You screamed a few seconds before the half dressed blonde dashed across the background and out the hotel room door. “And there it is.” You huffed and shook your head as he quickly tried to explain, while Sawyer looked absolutely stunned beside you.
“Babe, it’s not...”
“I’m done, Kels.” You said evenly. “We’re done.”
“(Y/N), it’s not what...” He started as you hung up the phone and put his calls on silent.
“How did you know that?“ Your friend asked as she looked over at you in disbelief.
“Because I know everything.” You said as you made your next phone call before your appointment time. “Junior. Shut up, I need a huge favor, but you can’t tell dad, and I will pay for everything.”
“Oh, shit.” Your brother sighed through the speaker. “What, you in jail again?”
“I need you and a few friends to come out to California to help me move. Today. Like next flight out, today.” You sighed as tears started falling down your cheeks. “I need... I need my brother...”
“OK, I’m coming.” He said with zero hesitation simply because of the shift in your tone. “I’m coming right now.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I told you not to tell dad.”
“I had to tell dad.” Junior said as he headed in to your old house later that afternoon to finish packing up your things and get the boxes you couldn’t move into a rented U Haul. “Had to take off work last minute.”
“And you’re crazy if you think I wasn’t going to come rescue my daughter.” Ross finished as he stepped inside beside your sister and her husband to say hi. “You may not think to highly of me, but you’re still my kid.”
“You didn’t tell mom, right?”
“No one’s talked to mom since she took you to court.” Tabby said as she kissed your cheek. “Thanks for letting us know about that, by the way.”
“Figured y’all would side with her.” You confessed honestly.
“Alright, what’s going, and where is it going?” Junior asked as he looked around the down stairs.
“Any cardboard box or tote that you see out is going.” You instructed with a sniffle. “There’s some more upstairs, and all the furniture from Gage’s room that I’m taking with me, but I still have more to pack...”
“Alright, boys. Get these boxes outta here.” Ross instructed as he looked at Tabby. “You go help your sister.”
“There’s two boxes in the kitchen marked with giant F’s that are fragile and food.” You called out as you headed upstairs. “Those can go in my car with that big cooler!”
“Is he coming back soon?” Tabby asked as she followed you up.
“No idea.” You sighed as you walked into your room, where Sawyer was packing up your bathroom stuff for you while keeping an eye on your napping son in your bed. “We haven’t heard anything from our inside man about him canceling any shows, so my guess is no.”
“But my boyfriend and I are both stuck between a rock and a hard place here.” Sawyer called out as she set the bathroom box on the floor by your bed. “I’m not allowed to tell him she’s moving out until she’s completely moved out, and he is probably not allowed to tell me if and when he’s coming home.”
“Still sorry about that.” You said as you dumped arm fulls of clothes into a box from your dresser drawers with your sister.
“I know.” Your friend said as she moved on to the closet. “I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that you fucking called this shit before it happened.”
“Oh, she’s done that since she was a kid.” Tabby chimed in as she packed the jewelry off the top of the dresser in pairs of socks so it wouldn’t get lost. “She knew my dad was seeing someone before anyone else. She knew my first boyfriend was going to be abusive before he even hit me the first time. She knew when I met my husband that he was the one and same with Junior’s fiancée. She’s the relationship crystal ball.”
“That’s wild!”
“Yea, not so much fun when you know the father of your kids is going to cheat on you... again. Nor when I can’t fucking see that he’s just a piece of shit douche bag time after time…” You muttered as you pushed the next full box toward the door. “And he fucking knows I can feel that shit too, yet he still thinks he slick.”
“Well he’s just a dummy.” Tabby said with a quick nod as she looked around the room. “What next?”
“Gage’s room is the last thing.” You said as you pointed out of the room at the nursery door. “Everything is going. The letters on the walls, the cameras, the lamps. Everything. Wait, take boxes.” You said as you kicked a stack of totes in her direction. She grabbed the totes and headed out as you went over with an empty box to clean out your bedside table and all the other nicknacks you had out in the room.
“Who was she?”
“Oh.” You gasped as you looked over your shoulder. “That’s my sister, Tabby. My dad’s downstairs too, which is really interesting, since I’ve always figured they wanted nothing to do with me.”
“Family steps up in weird ways, at weird times.” Your friend said as she closed the second closet box and pushed it into the middle of the room. “I’ll go help her.” It took your little tribe only forty-five minutes to clean all of your stuff out of Colson’s place, and only twenty minutes to unpack just the boxes from your storage unit. You hated that you’d have to replace all of the furniture in there, but even after a year, it still reeked of cigarette smoke, and had various sized burn holes you hadn’t paid much attention to when you packed it up originally. It took even less time to unpack everything at your new place since there was no real furniture to move yet, and you were just finishing up when the half dozen pizzas you got as a thank you for the guy’s help were delivered to your door.
“What are you gunna do ‘bout furniture, kiddo?” Your dad asked as he looked around the open concept kitchen and living room.
“I’ll deal with it tomorrow.” You sighed with a shake of your head. “Go to a hotel or something tonight.”
“OK, well then I’ll call the U Haul place and book the truck an extra day, and then the hotel we’re at and get you a room with my points.”
“Dad, no.”
“Hush.” He said as he looked down at his grandson, who was pulling at his jean leg to show him a toy. “Wat’cha got there, kiddo? A truck?! Does the truck go ‘vroom vroom’?” You smiled at your old man as he sat down on the floor with a giant smile you hadn’t seen in years to play with his first grandson and one of the toys Gage had pulled out of one of his totes.
“You can tell Rook.” You said softly as you looked over at Soy. “Just tell him his kids are safe.”
“OK.” She nearly whispered as she picked up her cell phone to step out to make the call. “I’m really sorry, (Y/N).”
“So am I.” You sighed as you walked over to the nearest box to start unpacking your life once again as tears fell slowly down your cheeks.
“Come on, boys. Work’s not done yet.” Junior said when he saw what you were doing as he set his crust down on his plate and wiped his hands off on his jeans. “Kitchen first.”
——
“We’re goin’ to the Costco…” Your dad announced early the next morning when you opened your hotel room door with a scowl on your face.
“Daddy, it’s five-thirty in the fucking morning. Costco don’t open until nine.”
“And we’re goin’ to the Walmart.” He finished with a nod. “Get your things, you’re wasting daylight. Breakfast is gettin’ served, and the boys are gettin’ rowdy…”
“OK, OK.” You sighed, knowing that he would just keep talking about absolutely nothing until you did what you were told. “Let me wake up the kid and get dressed.”
“Be ready in twenty minutes.” He said as he turned to continue his wake up visits. “Got a lot to do today.”
“Of course we do.” You huffed as you closed the door behind you with a shake of your head. You got yourself ready as fast as you could, letting Gage get as much sleep as you could until you had to get him up. You were shocked that he woke up on the right side of the bed, and was in a very happy mood. His infectious smile and adorable laugh brightened your morning, and reminded you just why you were in the situation you found yourself in. You were just putting him in his stroller with your diaper bag on your shoulder, when your dad knocked on your door again.
“I’m coming, I’m coming.” You huffed as you snapped the tray in place and unlocked the breaks. You grabbed your phone, that had dozens of missed calls and texts on it, and threw it and your room key into your bag on your way out the door. “You are so impatient, old man.”
“You were getting up this early for the farm.” He said as the two of you led the group to the elevators. “This is the time you should always start your day.”
“He called me to try to wake me up at two thirty.” Junior complained with a shake of his head. “We were still drinking at two thirty.”
“Where the hell did you go drinking at?” You asked as you looked over at him.
“At Ope’s…” He said slowly as if it were the most obvious answer in the world. “Where we stayed last night…”
“Where the fuck is Ope’s?”
“I’m Ope. Well, I’m Opie.” A very tall man behind you said, which made you turn around to look at him. You double took at the familiar face, and tried to find it in your mind as your brow furrowed.
“Wait, I know you…”
“I would hope so.” He laughed. “I’ve been friends with your brother since we were all kids.”
“No, that’s not it.” You said with a shake of your head as you turned toward him a little more. “I know you from here. From LA.”
“I would hope so.” He laughed even harder with a nod. “I was your photographer for Penthouse for the last year you were working.” Your face dropped and completely paled as he swiped his hand at you. “Don’t worry about it. You were pretty fucked up back then, and dealing with your ex’s shit on a regular basis so I don’t take it personally.”
“Oh, my God. I am so, so sorry.”
“It’s fine.” He chuckled as he pat your shoulder. “Really, it is.”
“I’m sober now.” You clarified even though you knew you didn’t have to. “Two years or something like that.”
“Good for you.” He said as he glanced over at you with a smile. “I was always hoping you’d get there. Watching you head toward rock bottom was kinda scary.”
“Scarier to live it, I promise.” You said as you dropped your diaper bag on a long table by the hotel’s buffet and parked the stroller where you’d be able to see your son.
“Oh, I bet. But thank God you made it out on the other side.”
“I more thank God Gage made it out on the other side alive and healthy after my OD.” You said as you started the automatic pancake machine and grabbed some scrambled eggs first to cool them down for your son. “Wait, so how in the hell did you get into photography? And did I even recognize you back then, or am I just that shitty of a person?”
“Oh, you’re just that shitty of a person.” He teased as he worked around you to make his own breakfast. “You looked right past me.”
“OK, you’re rude!” You laughed as you whacked his hand as he reached for the bacon tongs. “No, you don’t get any now.”
“Girl, I dare you to try.” He shot back as he lightly body checked you out of the way. “Stand in the way of a man and his bacon. You’re the rude one!”
“Hey, quit!” You laughed as you wrestled him for the tongs. “You are standing between a pregnant woman and bacon! Quit it! I know your mother!”
“Your sister just doesn’t know how to be single, does she?” Your dad asked Tabby as he sat down with his coffee and oatmeal, like he did every morning.
“Has she ever?” She asked as she sipped on her coffee and waited for her turn at the currently crowded buffet.
“Least he’s home grown.” Ross said with a shrug. “Better than that asshole she was seeing.”
“They’re not gunna get together.” Junior said over your loud laugh as he sat down at the table with his two full plates.
“Twenty bucks says you’re wrong.” Tabby said under her breath as you and Opie came over to eat and feed Gage.
“Deal.”
——
“OK, y’all need to stop.” “No seriously, quit.” “OK, I don’t need to decorate, Tabitha!” “Guys, my towels are perfectly fine.” “I swear to fucking God.”
“When you gunna learn, (Y/N)?” Junior asked as your group stood in line with carts of food, spices, towels, toys, “proper clothes” for you and Gage, and other things deemed ‘necessities’ by your family.
“Each one of you had a college fund.” Ross said as he unloaded the second of three carts onto the conveyer belt. “None of ya went to college, so your sister got hers when she got married and bought a house, Junior got his when he bought a house, you’re getting yours when you need it. But I swear to the Lord above, child.” He said as he stopped and looked up at you with a point of his finger. “Do not abuse this generosity. This is for my grandchildren to have a good life, and for you to raise them up proper. You take care of this stuff, you hear me? Don’t you go back to that man and just throw this shit in storage. All he’s ever done is hurt you anyways; I don’t care what he’s done good otherwise. All three’a ya deserve better.”
“Yes sir.” You said with a nod as you put your hand on your bump. “I understand.”
“You better.” He said with a nod of his head as he went back to what he was doing as your brother snickered silently behind his back. “Or you can deal with Anne and hear all about how I’m just pissing my hard earned money away.”
“Dad, why are you starting fights with the woman that already hates me?” You sighed as you grabbed a stuffed bunny rabbit from Gage before he threw it again to get Tabby’s attention behind you.
“Because you are my child.” He said as he stood up straight and looked at you seriously. “And my children will always come first. You remember that, you hear me?”
“That’s why we are where we are.” You said as you looked down at your son and ran your hand across the back of his head. “For them.”
“Then we keep going.” He said with a nod as he went back to work. You shook your head at him and leaned down to kiss your son’s head as a selfless love you hadn’t felt in a long, long time washed over.
“I love you, Dad.” You said softly as you pushed your cart up for him to unload. “Thank you.” He nodded his head as he looked up at you for a single, priceless moment.
“Love you too. Gage Michael, don’t you throw that rabbit at your aunt!”
“Child, I swear to God.” You groaned as you took the rabbit from him, causing your first of many early morning tantrums so you could pay for his new favorite toy. “You’re going to kill me one of these days.”
“That’s what I said about you, too.” Your dad huffed as he took the tags off the bunny and passed it back to you. “And yet I’m still standing here breathing.”
“Shut up, Dad.” You laughed with a shake of your head.
——
“You calling to say good night to your son?” You asked when you finally answered your phone later that night. “Because we are not speaking right now.”
“What the fuck, bitch?!” Colson roared as you put together a baby gate at the top of one of the stairs in the interesting split level house that had too much personality for you to pass up on. “Where’s my fucking son?!”
“He’s um…” You said as you looked up across the split staircase at your master bedroom, and then the general area of the room that was now designated as the nursery for the baby on the way, the bathroom that room shared with Gage’s, and finally his room and the laundry room behind you, most of which was behind a wall. You knew exactly where he was since you could hear him watching a movie with your sister in your room while your dad and brother set up his room and Opie and Tabby’s husband, Mike set up the nursery furniture for you, but you shrugged your shoulders and went back to doing your share of the work. “I don’t know. I think he took my keys, though. Try Mexico…?”
“Dude, I swear to fuck, I will call the mother fucking cops.”
“Fucking chill, he’s watching Thomas the train with my sister.”
“No, where… the fuck… is my child?!” He repeated. “Because he sure as fuck isn’t in my fucking house where’s he’s fucking supposed to be!”
“Nope. He’s in mine.” You said as you tightened the last zip tie so you wouldn’t leave marks on the banisters, and checked that the gate swung open, closed, and locked the way it was supposed to like the one on the other side, and the one at the bottom of the stairs did.
“Babe, why the fuck did you move out?!” He asked as you picked up your cell phone to head to your room to grab the outlet covers to put in downstairs in the living room, dining room, and kitchen next.
“Because you fucking cheated on me!” You screamed as you stopped just outside the door. “Yet again! And I told you that I wasn’t playing that fucking game this time. So we’re done. And we’re done for good. Now, do you want to say good night to your son, or are we just gunna try this again tomorrow?” You watched him fight his demons on whether he wanted to keep fighting with you, or see his son, but he knew you well enough to know that if he tried, you would hang up the phone and go back to ignoring him again.
“Where’s my son?” With a nod of your head, you walked into your room and smiled at your child.
“Hey, Gage. Look, it’s Daddy!”
“Hey buddy!” He cooed, and being on the other side of the screen, you could hear the regret in his voice as his new reality washed over him with the flash of your new bedroom. “You being good for Mommy, huh? Yea. Hey Tabby.”
“Colson.” Your sister said as she picked up a single Cheerio and ate it with a distasteful look on toward him on her face.
“I miss you little man. I miss you a whole lot. And Daddy’s coming home real soon to come see you and Mommy.”
“Mommy has plans.” You said as you did your bedroom and bathroom with the outlet covers first since you were there.
“I’ll be home in a couple days, buddy.” He sighed. “And Daddy loves you so much.”
“Can you say bye bye?” You asked as you pushed a cover into an outlet and turned to get your phone. “Say bye bye to Daddy. Uncle Junior probably has your bed set up by now.”
“Wait, can you just…” Colson said as you reached out to hang up. “Babe, just wait…”
“Colson, I can’t.” You said as you picked up the phone. “Don’t call me unless it’s to say good morning or good night to Gage. We can talk when you get done sleeping with road sluts.”
“Babe…”
“Good bye, Kels.” You sighed as tears welled in your eyes, and you quickly hung up the phone before he could see you cry.
“Here, I’ll do the outlets up here.” Tabby said as she got up off the bed with a small smile. “You watch the movie for a bit.”
“Thanks, Tab.” You sniffled as you climbed on the bed next to your little boy, who was so enthralled with the show he hadn’t even noticed you had hung up with his dad. “We’re gunna be OK, baby boy.” You told him softly as you pulled him into your arms with silent tears falling down your face. “I promised you. We’re gunna be OK.”
——
You didn’t immediately recognize the black pick up in your drive way when you came back from the airport the next afternoon, but the fading UNC sticker on the bumper made you smile and gave you your answer as you pulled into your drive way beside it. Opie glanced over from his phone and took one more drag of his cigarette before putting it out on the bottom of his flip flop as you got out of the car.
“So I found a box in the back seat of my car.” He said with a giant smirk as he left the cigarette butt on the tire of his truck on his way to the passenger side. “Missing some panties?”
“So you’re the reason I’m going commando today.” You laughed as you pulled your sleeping son out of the back. You stopped in front of him to glance in the box he was holding as you adjusted the strap of your diaper bag on your shoulder, before looking up into his brown eyes. “Well, looks like you can officially say you got into my panties a lot quicker than most.”
“First of all, wow.” He laughed as his face flushed behind his beard the slightest bit. “But secondly, I also saw you in your panties long before anyone else did. Or have you forgotten the many adventures of drunken (Y/N) at your brother’s middle school graduation party?”
“Listen, swimming in your underwear is never a bad idea.” You laughed as you locked up your car and headed inside. “And I wasn’t drunk, I was perfectly coherent, thank you.”
“Sweetheart, we were all drunk.” He chuckled. “We were just kids.”
“And for some reason, my father thought it’d be a good idea to leave us all alone that night.” You sighed with a shake of her head. “Thank God for Anne in that situation alone.”
“I’d have to agree with you there. Where do you want this?”
“Just leave it by the stairs. I’ll carry it up later...”
“I got it.” He said as he opened the baby gate. “On your bed?”
“Perfect.” You said as you laid Gage down in his pack and play so he’d keep napping a while longer.
“So what are your plans for the rest of the afternoon?” Ope asked as he came back down stairs. You sighed loudly as you kicked off your shoes and sat down on your sectional couch.
“I guess I have to find a job.” You breathed as you ran your fingers through your hair. “Don’t know what the hell a pregnant, ex junkie, ex model is gunna do for work...”
“Call your agent.” He said as he leaned over the back of the other side of the couch. “Tell him to get you into a TV show role or something. They’re always looking for people.”
“Oh, yay. I can be that kind of celebrity now.” You laughed as you turned and laid down to get comfortable. “You hanging out, or you got some place to be?”
“I can hang a bit.” He said as he stood up straight and came around the couch to sit down on the opposite side. “I just figured you’d wanna nap... oh. That’s a nice fucking couch.”
“Shoes off if you’re napping too then.” You giggled as you rolled onto your side and found a comfortable spot. “It’s a really nice fucking couch.”
“Oh, I could get used to this.” He said as he put his shoes under the coffee table and laid down completely, easily taking up the entire right side with his six foot four frame.
“Spots available, apply within.” You sighed as you closed your eyes for a moment. “Quit touching me.”
“I’m not touching you.” He said as he purposely hit your foot with his shin as he got comfortable himself. “You’re in my space.”
“Oh, get out.” You laughed as you opened your eyes to look at him with a smile. He smirked back and propped himself up on his hand.
“I have to say, I’m really fucking glad to see you smiling again. It got really scary there for a while.”
“How’d you get into photography in the first place?” You asked as you pulled out a blanket from the shelf under the coffee table and tossed it over to him before grabbing one for yourself.
“I’ve always been into it.” He said with a shrug as he tossed the blanket down his legs as far as it would go. “It’s what I went to college for. I just managed to get lucky with my portfolio when I got out here. You remember KaceyJo? She was in your grade?”
“Didn’t y’all get married?”
“Divorced about five years ago.” He said with a nod. “But she did a lot of modeling for me around town when we were married. So I had a portfolio full of awesome Smoky Mountain views and her in various poses in those shots. So I stood out.”
“Probably helps that you’re a hot, bearded giant that could rock a man bun for days.” You pointed out with a small grin. “But I may be harboring an old school girl crush.”
“You had a crush on me?” He asked as he sat up the slightest bit. “How the fuck did I not know that?”
“Because I told Tabby I’d break her snow globe collection if she told anyone. She was the only person that knew. Dude, why else would I go swimming in my underwear in front of Junior?!”
“Wow.” He huffed with a shake of his head. “The things you learn years later at reunions. Well, now you kinda have an answer on why I worked my way to Penthouse for a year.”
“What, for me?”
“You weren’t the only one with a crush back then.” He said with a shrug. “I just told Junior that I’d tell Laura about that night he spend with Molly when they first got together if he ratted me out and he told me you were forever off limits.”
“Oh, good old skanky Molly. Wonder whatever happened to her.”
“Slept her way up Wall Street last I heard.”
“Par for the course.” He nodded his head in agreement as he took his keys and phone out of his shorts pocket and put them and his bandana on the coffee table. “I’m really sorry, Ope.”
“Don’t be, sweetheart.” He said as he brushed his toes against your ankle for comfort. “I saw how toxic he was for you. He fed into that shit so bad, I wanted to knock his ass out every time he came to set. And you were so far in the rabbit hole, only God could get you out at that point. So I did what my church going upbringing told me to. I prayed. First time in a decade at least, but fuck if I didn’t try. Only thing I could do after you threw a bottle of tequila at my face for trying to talk to you.” You groaned and turned cherry red as you tried to cover your face with a blanket, but he chuckled and leaned over enough to grab the material to pull it away.
“It’s OK.” He reassured as you looked up at him with tears in your eyes. “I don’t blame you. We all go through rough patches in life, it’s what we do after hitting rock bottom that matters. I went through some shit when KaceyJo and I split up. Got in a few bar fights, got arrested, had to do anger management, lost my job. But I’m better off now. Got a good job, got friends... you became a mother, and you’ve got a roof over their heads, and you’re taking steps to do the best you can by them now. That’s what matters now. Not what you did two years ago. What you’re doing right now.” With a nod of your head, you started to cry, and Opie got up and came over to your side of the couch to lay down in front of you.
“I’m sorry.” You choked as you scooted back for him so he could wrap you in his arms.
“It’s OK, sweetheart.” He said softly as he rubbed your back. “I forgive you. I forgive you for everything.” You shook your head the slightest bit and gently held on to his shirt while he laid with you wordlessly to let you feel every emotion you had about your time as an addict since you got sober that you hadn’t been able to do with Colson until you cried yourself to sleep in the safety of an old friend’s arms.
