Imagine Kayden Break is definitely the type of lover who may not show how much he loves you by words but would definitely my actions. Although the two of you would fight so often, he would never let you sleep with unfinished business between the two of you. No matter how often he would walk out in the middle of the fight, he would still come back home to you, even though most of them would often cause other round of fight, most of them could and would result with the two of you on the bed both naked.

Imagine, Kayden was definitely not a boyfriend nor husband material other than his looks. With most of the time his patience barely hangs on a thread ready to snap at any moment.

Imagine it was not the healthiest nor was it a toxic relationship. The two of you were just... having your own ways of showing love and respect for each other in your own unique way. Even though Kayden was always away, you don't mind. In the first place, looking back, it seems like things have never been official for the two of you, it just... It just went that way, with him coming back to you messed up or not and you accepting him with open arms with no further questions. You were his what he thought his nonexistent home and clarity he never new he have due to his crazy way of thinking. With him being the same as for you, he was your home.

Imagine despite not seeing each other most of the time, Kayden never forgot your anniversary. Even though the two of you never really go out as the two of you were actually busy with your own lives. Kayden always come, never once missing your anniversary. And as if knowing his presence was enough, the two of you would often just be in each other's arms, talking about some crazy stuffs, coming up with so many different fighting theories that you two may or may not soon try.

Imagine being in a relationship with the one and only Kayden Break, the crazy, lunatic fighting maniac, known for his arrogant behaviour only means that you have got to be just as crazy, is not crazier than him because let's be honest. Only those who are crazy enough like him would be able to handle him andnin fact you are. I have no idea what’s going on in the webtoon because I haven’t read it in months. Please have whatever this is.

“God fucking damnit!”

Kayden knew this was inevitable. He knew the moment he opened up to you and let your smile shake his world, you’d break his heart. It was an outcome he expected from the beginning, but for a time, he believed everything would be okay. Because he was strong, nothing would happen to you.

Then everything happened.

He was there, kneeling on the floor. Your body is limp in his arms. Red of blood warmed his hands. There was too much, too much that was outside of you and not inside. Your eyes are open and empty. They gaze towards the sky and take in nothing above. He was too familiar with this stare, familiar enough that it made him sick in the stomach to see it from you.

“No, not now,” not ever. Not like this.

He can save you, somehow. He can—No, he should’ve prevented this from happening to begin with. He should’ve been stronger. Maybe then, he would’ve been able to do something to make the pain stop.

God, anything to make the pain stop.

“Hey, you’ve been quiet for a while.”

Kartein’s statement is nothing more than a mere mention of his current stupor, but it annoys Kayden to have his peace disturbed all the same. Kayden clicks his tongue and returns to staring out of the window. The two of them have traveled far from Jiwoo’s home to attend to the Frame businesses. However, he had not expected to end up in this city again.

To say it brings up a few bad memories is an understatement, but Kayden digresses. This is a problem of his alone, Kartein shouldn’t be privy to it and Jiwoo has enough to deal with at the moment. Besides, if Kayden couldn’t tackle this problem alone, he would never get over it.

Seeing Kayden’s lack of response, Kartein doesn’t press. He only comes up to the window and admires the view outside. At this late hour of the night, no soul except for the desperate dwells the streets. It is comforting, in a sense, for Kayden to look down on these from a distance. It puts a space between him and the memories he wants to forget.

“Beautiful city, isn’t it?” Kartein says. “If I remember correctly, you were first known around these areas…”

“Yeah.” Kayden replies conversationally.

“Back then, you weren’t running alone,” Kartein’s remark makes Kayden flinch, but he doesn’t notice it, “what was that girl you were with…?”

Kayden frowns, “It doesn’t matter. She’s not here anymore.”

He can feel Kartein’s stare on him. It’s perturbing and unwanted. He never talked about this to anyone and if his luck was willing, he will go down to his grave with this.

“I’m sorry.”

Sorry won’t bring her back. Kayden bites down on his tongue to prevent his bad mood from taking control of his better senses. “Yeah.” It was a problem of his own. No one else should stick their neck out to help him deal with it. You, of all people, should have never done that.

If you did, then you’d be here now, with him. The thought put a bitter taste in his mouth. Cursed city and all the troubles it brings him. And the worse of it might be the fact that even after he got stronger and made all those who inflicted this pain suffered tenfold, no matter he begged and pleaded back then, the pain never stopped hurting.

Not now, not ever.

There was once a saying in the Port Mafia that made everyone tremble in fear that is equivalent of the Awakeners hearing Kayden's name

'The greatest misfortune of being Dazai's enemy is the fact you are her enemy.'

Whether Kayden is aware of who you really are or not, it was wise of him to keep you on your good side.

But is that really the case? Were you still the same person you were back in the Port Mafia? Do people still need to heed the warnings about you?

You had asked Kartein about it once during your unexpected stay in Jiwoo's abode. He was silent for a few minutes and you thought he also doesn't have the answer you were looking for.

Actually, it didn't need to be a wise answer, you only need his opinion and outlook regarding to your change. Kartein knows you way back in the PM, not on a personal level but enough to trust his opinions on you.

"A stranger won't be able to tell the difference. If I'm being honest, I can't also tell what change are you referring to."

"This might get difficult. Apparently, one of the Top 10 Awakeners is planning an ambush in the World Academy."

You snorted, "And you're expecting me to diffuse the situation?" Atsushi was more confused than comprehensive.

"Awakeners? I thought Ability users don't meddle in with their business?"

Awakeners and Ability users are basically the epitome of the phrase 'two sides of a coin' and no one can be categorized as a hero nor a villain.

"Correct, however, this is a special request from someone with strong connection on both parties." Ranpo supplied as he keeps chowing down his sweets.

"You read my mind, Atsushi-kun." You made your way out of your office, not that you were doing something productive anyway.

"Ranpo-san, why did the President accept such request?"

Your investigation led you back in South Korea, more precisely, in the Academy of Awakeners where the retired strongest in Korea resides as a principal.

Jiyoung and Inhyuk were the first ones who got informed of your arrival and immediately greeted you at the airport.

And Jiwoo certainly wasn't far behind the news as he begged Kayden to give him an off day to see you.

Even Subin went with Jiyoung to see you. Kartein is only excited to brag about his new attained skill of turning into a cat. Wooin, ever the sweetest big boi, bought extra food to treat you for your return. Now that you're back, Jisuk and Kayden's sixth senses of protecting their precious cinnamon roll are on high alert.

Their mixed reactions caused mayhem on the way to Jiwoo's home, while the lad is certainly delighted to have you back, others have different opinions.

You had forgotten why you were actually in Korea and hang out with them for the rest of the day. It's an oddity how easily you lose yourself to the fun whenever you're with them, especially to Jiwoo who's easy to have fun with.

"I'm so glad you came back! You never got to say farewell to us when you left last time." The blonde boy pouted.

Wooin wordlessly nodded at the back as the your group walk to Jiwoo's house to drop the shopping bags they bought, "You just disappeared out of nowhere then came back without a notice."

Kayden seemed to pick up your unusual furrowed eyebrows and had doubts to question you or just let you be. He finds it highly suspicious you went back to Korea just to have fun with his apprentice. You must have some business going on.

But his pride won't let him inquire what's boggling your mind, he simply watches you struggle to come up with a solution to your own problem. You're a grown woman anyway.

By the time Jiwoo and his friends are gearing up for their return in the Academy, you disappeared, again. Unlike last time, they were more concerned about your whereabouts as you have left a note that says "I'll be back with a surprise.''

Either your dead body hanging is on the way to surprise them or you got murdered.

That's all the options Kayden could think of, and no, he doesn't take constructive criticism.

"A new instructor? Who is it?" Jiwoo overheard from the students there was a new teacher who taught them. . . questionable things.

Thinking his friends might know who it is, he asked them, but it seems as though they're clueless as who it is.

"Moshi Moshi!" Jisuk fell over his chair and nearly threw the culprit over the window, "WHO THE HEL— Huh?! It's you again?! What are you doing here?"

In contrary to his reaction, Jiwoo welcomed you with open arms, "Y/N, I'm so glad you're here!"

You chuckled at this and patted his head, "Are you now? Don't worry, you won't get rid of me that soon."

"Why's that?" Subin looked particularly surprised but refrained herself from embracing you out of relief that you survived another day with your suicide tendencies.

You grinned like a chesire cat, "I'll be your mentor from now on!"

⚡Kayden hisses and jolts awake from the cold shock caused by you sneaking your legs under the blanket and his hoodie and sinking your frozen toes into his stiff yet warm belly. You snicker at his reaction with a cheeky smile.

⚡he glares at you for a moment before diving his hand under the layers to grab your feet and drag them closer to the front part of his belly and onto his lap.

⚡All while lightly caressing and massaging your ankle absentmindedly with one hand as he focused on the TV again.

⚡as a stillness settles back in, you were about to shoot your shot but got interrupted.

⚡"Why not just come here if you're so cold? " Kayden muttered as he stared at the TV, giving you a side eye after he'd finished.

⚡"I'll get too hot! " you retort with a pout.

⚡there's a pause, as if he's contemplating something and it leaves the air feeling heavy. You start to wonder what he's thinking about when--

⚡"you're very hot and I still eat you. " Kayden starts with a nonchalant tone but breaks into a snort at the end as you stare at him in disgust because of the unbelievably corny joke.

⚡your expression of utter horror and disgust leaves him wheezing as he clamps one hand over his mouth and the other clutches his stomach.

⚡"you're so lame. " you sigh through your nose, biting the corner of your lips to hold it down from curling up into a smile.

⚡"and you're annoying." He breathes after having calmed down.

⚡"Whatever asshole! " you mutter with a huff and an eye role.

⚡and then silence falls over for a few minutes.

⚡ but just as kayden starts to fall asleep again, you wiggle and dig your toes into his belly. Causing him to get pulled back into reality and give you an arched brow along with a side eye. Urging you to spill why you have tortured his poor stomach again.

⚡his brows have a slight pinch to them as he begrudgingly gets up and heads to the kitchen.

⚡takes him about a minute or two of searching and yelling back from the kitchen, asking where the oranges are.

⚡returns and collapses onto the couch, almost crushing you poor feet but soon resumes the position you guys were previously in. "Hey!! (•ˋ _ ˊ•)" "Oops. ( ͡° ʖ�� ͡°)"

⚡holds out the orange towards you and gets confused when you ask him to peel it. "Can you peel it for me too? (´∩ω∩｀)" "（∵）？"

⚡because from his perspective, he doesn't see a reason why you can't peel it yourself and is feeling rather lazy after fetching it for you. He means like, you don't even have to get off the couch to do it now. So loss of warmth isn't an issue anymore. So it's no longer making sense to him.

⚡he now feels like he's done enough and that you're being too lazy by making him do everything when you clearly saw he was just about going to fall asleep. And being roused awake twice also annoyed him a lot, so you could say he's a bit pissy about that too.

⚡and also, he's not really one to obey and follow orders. At least not for long.

⚡grabbing the orange and gingerly peeling it. Looking back at you as he grabbed a piece. Scotting back close to you as you move away and into a corner with your face covered by your hands.

⚡your position allows him to pin you in place as you have no where left to go now. Trapped between the arm-rest and a solid wall of muscle.

⚡leaning in, he put the piece inside his mouth. Which made you want to cry all over again.

In the beginning, the pedicure is 4/10, it is messy and not well done.

I feel like he would not even know how to paint a straight line of nail polish on your nails.

So you end up doing his instead that night and I think he would be annoyed about it since he's not good at it.

He definitely practices in secret while grumbling to himself about how he's gonna be sooo much better than you the next time you have a pedicure night.

And true to his word next time you had pedicure night he made one of the cutest nails ever.

And he was so proud of himself boasting about how great he was and how the great Kayden was good at everything.

The pedicure now is a solid 8.5/10.

Kartein

He's actually surprisingly good at it deserving a 7/10.

I feel like he had a phase where he always had some type of nail polish to match his different clothing styles.

So your pedicure nights end up with you doing each other's nails while having a face mask and eating some healthy snacks like whatever flavored dip with carrots/cucumber and more.

Definitely talking shit about people (Kayden) but also giving beauty advice to each other.

Definitely shit-talking people and mocking the characters in the movie for making idiotic decisions.

In the end you two fall asleep in each other's arms until one of you falls off the bed/couch and wakes up the other making them laugh at the one that fell off until the other on the floor pulls them down too.

When you received a phone message from Kayden telling you to come into South Korea after months of no news about him after all the anxious nights hoping he was alright upon hearing the news of him clashing with the top 10 and is currently injured with the rumor of point of no return. You dropped everything and went there as fast as you could. Maybe it was because you're a non-awakened person but you are more careful than ever. Kayden is a powerful individual with countless enemies waiting for his downfall. You knew better than to stand out when you are just a normal, vulnerable individual that could become his weakness anytime.

By the time you manage to reach South Korea, you were not in a hurry to meet up with anybody. Even after Kayden had given you his next instructions which is to meet up with his disciple, an awakened one named Seo Jiwoo, one you badly want to meet, after all, what could your boyfriend be teaching him when you knew better than his nasty attitude towards others.

Anyways, rather than meeting up with this said disciple, you took your time wandering around in the country. It was such a beautiful place to visit. You were really enjoying yourself as much as to your boyfriend's displeasure.

So imagine the coincidence when you met a bunch of teenagers in the grocery as you were struggling to carry your stuffs and they offer to help you up, you were just about to decline but due to the fact that you cannot carry it alone, you let them be. Offering your thanks and apologies as they carry your stuffs into your current accommodation neighborhood when it turns out that one of them were living in the same neighborhood. They were such a lively bunch too, making you laugh from time to time.

You laugh, wanting to shift on your position but could not, not when your boyfriend's arm were warped around your shoulder, tapping your shoulder with his fingers as he just sat there laying his back on the sofa right next to you legs cross with a scowl on his face. He was not mad as the youngsters right in front of you were thinking, in fact, your boyfriend is sulking.

After a while of talking, the four have finally decided to went off, Jiwoo's house was near anyways so you stood by your door waving them goodbye. Just when they were out of your sigh only then did you heard a familiar voice you haven't heard for so long. "So, you're single huh?" There he was, arms spread out on the couch as he sat there in a relax manner, he was giving you such eye, not the intimidating one, its the other.

"Come on now Kayden, you knew what I'm doing that for, don't be upset." You chuckle, walking your way towards him. "Don't be angry no? I'm sorry." "Oh even your disciple?" When he did not say anything, you could only laugh.

"Right, he was a great child. You taught him well." "Didn't I?" He look up, your eyes met his as you felt him smirk on your skin. "Yes. You did well Kayden." You shift on his lap so you're facing him before putting your hands on his cheeks. "You're not mad anymore?" You wanted to say sulking but as if he would ever admit. Sucheon has neither the capability nor desire to be a fuckboy. Purposefully drives people away and has far too much trauma to even think of putting his dick anywhere. Also has the charisma of a rabid wet rat.

Duke is such a fuckboy, but in a political, ulterior motive kinda way. He'll dick anyone down if it means he can emotionally manipulate them with it, or he can use it as a bargaining chip to get what he wants. He's a charmer, good-looking, and had one of the highest prestige in the academy; he could literally ask nicely and he'd have someone in bed with him. On the other end of the spectrum, Ian is a "i cannot for the life of me keep it in my pants" fuckboi. He's young, attractive, has a crazy amount of prestige to his name, and also has hormones he cannot keep under a leash. Anywhere he goes, he's bound to at least attract someone for the night. He's crazy flirty and leads people on just for the sake of his ego, but never gets attached on his side. It's only because of that he doesn't get in serious trouble with his grandpa for it.

Jisuk has the capability, but no desire. He has the laid back, chill, fratboy adittude that could easily pass as fuckboi, but ask him what his body count is and he'll immediately assume you're talking about death count. Not interested at all in that sort of thing, but he could if he tried.

Gahin doesn't have a crazy high body count like Duke does, but do not let this man ever get in your head. He's got the most inflated ego, but his face card is absolutely lethal and he knows it-to the point where his ego gets glossed over. Not a love bomber, but a serial flirter who plays his honey trap well. Probably stringing along like. five people, and like three are unintentional. Does it half because he likes to stroke his ego and half because he thinks it's important to have a handful of "followers" in your corner.

Curtin does not entertain anything like that; thinks his worth is beyond one night stands. He already knows he's beautiful, why would he need some simpering rat in his bed telling him that? Stringing people along seems cumbersome and annoying, no thank you.

On the other hand, Kayden doesn't have an issue getting down and dirty. He knows he's handsome and the hot shit, but he likes having his ego stroked to inflate that; and what better way through having a roster? He'll rarely ever actually entertain them, but he does sometimes when he's feeling especially shitty or bored.

"The audacity of that man!"

You worked to be offended. You really did. But even the ire in your voice was cracked by the laughter threatening to break out. Trying to pretend to be something you weren't didn't bode well for you. It only took three seconds of staying under the duress of Kayden's unimpressed glare for you to break.

Your laughter broke. Then it was joined by Kartein. The two of you made quite the circus of yourselves, laughing at Kayden's expense.

"I cannot believe—" you stopped to wheeze "—I cannot believe he—" again, you wheezed "—he was going to get you a c—" you laughed hard enough to almost fell down the bed, Kayden grabbed you by the neck and dragged you back, only for you to keep laughing at him "—another cat to mate with."

"Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want," Kayden deadpanned, "do me a favour and choke on it, too."

Your laughter sent you to the edge of the bed again. This time, Kartein had managed to recover from his mirth and pushed you back by the head. You rolled around on the mattress and almost died from the sheer hysteria. "He wanted your kittens! I can't believe it, he asked for the Great Kayden for his great babies!"

Kayden slapped his face with a singular paw and wiped down the vexation on his face. But it remained, stuck to his features like glue. "I will kill that man the next time I see him coming around." He growled, fist clenched. "Wanting me to mate with a cat was one thing, but only for the purpose of taking away my spawn? The gall of that old bag."

"That is where your priority lies?" You almost howled with laughter and rolled a bit too close to the edge again in your outburst. Jiwoo stopped you with his palm before you slipped past the edge and nudged you back in. "Worrying about your hypothetical cat-baby instead of I don't know... bestiality?"

"Shut." He grumbled and pressed a paw square to your mouth. It didn't stop you from continuing to shudder with giggles, but his action prevented the noises from alerting everyone within the vicinity. "Wouldn't you be worried if it was your spawn, too?"

You swatted at his hand, freeing your mouth from his constriction. "Ew," you stuck your tongue out at him, "I would never."

Kayden snorted, "Say that when you're in heat."

"In what?" Suddenly, all of your laughter died. You sprung up on all four, eyes wide with anticipation.

That single sign of terror alone was enough for him to grin maliciously. "Don't you know? Female cats suffer heat when they're... in the breeding cycle. You won't be able to stay away then, just you wait."

Immediately, you hopped down the bed and landed on your feet. Your human feet. His taunting spooked you out of the transformation completely. In fact, fear of any lingering feline trait got you scooting straight towards the window, far away from him as possible.

"Don't you dare, you oversized mongrel." You hissed, more aggravated than a threatened cat.

Seeing your scared response was apparently delicious enough for Kayden that he overlooked your insult completely. Instead, he chose to cackle meanly, "No need to be shy, weren't you the one who seek me out in the first place?"

"That was after you got fatally wounded—wait, don't come near me, stay away!" You glared from him, then to Kartein, "you to—wait, never mind, you don't have balls," then glared back at Kayden, "but you, you stay away."

With that, you opened the window and promptly clambered out of the room, never minded that you were on the higher floor of an apartment building.

Jiwoo's eyes followed you nervously, then turned back to his master, "...Will she be okay?"

Kayden only snickered, "Yeah, sure," he said, "she's a big girl, she can take care of herself," then, his cackles got evil again, "but once she's back, I will be here to remind her of this all over again."

As he often did, Kayden came out of this victoriously. However, there was an unsuspecting victim in all of this, he who received the stray blow from the terrified you.

"...Didn't have to bring my balls into this," Kartein muttered sourly.

Though, Kayden didn't care. That was what he got for joining you in the circus, too. Better for you both to know than mess with him now.
