Oh geez. Okay, here we go:

1. like a wolf at a live heart

I could not entirely say why, but this is probably my top fic I've ever written in any fandom. The vibes just hit for me, and it was a very self-indulgent burst of playing around with prose that I had a lot of fun with.

2. The Burnt Heart

I just love time loops as a concept, though I'm incredibly picky about reading them. I'm also a sucker for repetition as a narrative device/narrative indicator, so crafting this fic was super satisfying. Also, Alpha is just. such a bastard. I adore him.

3. I have lived with shades so long

Crack treated seriously is the best part of any fandom, imo, and this fic is fully crack in concept, just...played mostly straight. Also everyone is an emotionally constipated idiot. Also also Dooku is a fascinating character to me, and getting to poke him with a stick is highly entertaining.

4. taken kneeling

It's impossible for me to express in words how much I adore Hardcase as a character, and getting to shove him into an emotionally-fraught role as a badass ARC trooper in a grittier, more unsettling version of canon is so fun. Particularly when he's playing in contrast to a much darker and more ruthless Obi-Wan as chaotic neutral-leaning-evil Sith Lord. Just - the frayed hope! The lost dreams! The toll of war on the most resilient and most fragile! I love it.

5. I got trouble in mind

This one is just...fun? I had fun writing it, and I had fun with the characters and how they connected, and I really enjoyed the Sith monsters and their constant interruptions and all the humor that came from that. Just - sometimes you need a stupid sexy romp that puts the characters through lots of angry development before they get nice things, and this is that.

🥰a lot of them tbh but the first one that comes to mind is some sunny day by @pretentiouswreckingball <3 one of the sweetest and loveliest stories i've ever read, it's quite literally a boost of serotonin and it made me so happy i cried. loops' writing is like a breeze of fresh air, like sitting in a patch of grass and feeling the sun on ur skin so !! if u want something to brighten ur day this is IT

💌hmm idk if it counts but @grimjobs's the left right game au gave me the strength + inspiration to start working again on my own left right game au!! i started outlining it a while ago and then . sort of forgot about it . but i read shan's fic and i loved it SO MUCH it made me wanna go back to it <333 absolutely gonna gift it to him whenever i write it + post it

Aaaaahhh, that Lex reblog reminds me of the good old days when I was deep into Clex. Smallville did a great job of showing the sheer tragedy of their relationship. Now I need to find some Clex fluff 🫠

God yeah. Smallville had so many problems, but Michael Rosenbaum as Lex was such a good choice, and the main reason I ship him and Clark. Just. Perfection.

(Also. Have you read iHero on AO3? I'd link it but the archive is down for me rn. It's probably my all-time favorite Clex fic, and one of the reasons I love crack treated seriously so much.)

Which outfit do you like the most?

I really love Isildur's yellow/brown-ish long sleeved tunic, it looks so comfy and practical (holds up well in the case of explosions and near drownings!) and there are some really nice details on the sleeves (the embroidery and leather wrist ties!). It's really hard to choose between that and the blue Sea Guard tunic he, Valandil, and Ontamo wear. I'm also obsessed with Eärien's costuming, in particular her blue dress, I love the detailing on the sleeves and belt and all the gold elements.

I have to say surrendered at the start of the game by @monroesimons, I really can't stop thinking about it. I pitched the ot3 in a groupchat thinking "this is insane, no one else is going to vibe with this concept" but Valandil/Elendil/Miriel are so real to me now I'm losing sleep over them, and I'm not the only one apparently lol. Anyway, highly highly highly recommend that fic, it's a work in progress but regularly updated and it's truly the perfect blend of angst (the pining!), smut (contents extremely hot, handle with care!), and character study (such a thoughtful treatment of the history between the characters and the various power imbalance elements). Moral of the story: share your off the wall ot3 ideas, you never know when a friend will be inspired to write 34 chapter fic fulfilling all your hopes and dreams!
