Kakashi x Tenzou fic snippet

Past experience has taught me that having multiple long fics on the boil at the same time is Not Fun, and some stories just don’t get off the ground no matter how hard I wish for it. But some snippets are just too good to waste!

So while Like Oil For Leather has me in a chokehold for the foreseeable future, please enjoy some silly Kakayama shenanigans where Tenzou gets a very private education from his senpai:

Tenzou tossed back his third--fourth?--drink balefully and played with his little paper umbrella. “Honey trap missions are the easiest. I never get to be the honey trap.”

Kakashi didn’t bother looking up from his book. “That’s because you can’t seduce a viagra-crazed pervert even in a maid costume.”

“That’s not true! I’m plenty cute. It’s not my fault I don’t have any experience. People don’t want me because I remind them of Orochimaru’s sick experiments.”

“False.” Kakashi held up a finger. “People don’t want you because you’re a huge dweeb.”

“False! They are just jealous of my ability to kick ass.”

Kakashi sighed. “You’re not going to shut up about this, are you?”

“No, I’m not! This is discrimination, I’m making a complaint to HR and taking it all the way to the top if I have to.”

“I admire your drunken resolve, but I have a better idea.” Kakashi put down his book and fixed him with a stare. “I teach you how to seduce someone, and we never speak of it again.”

Tenzou sniggered. “Yeah right. I’ve seen the way you interact with humans. ‘Kakashi-sama, Sex God’ is not the first thing that comes to mind.”

“The secret to effective seduction,” Kakashi plucked the cocktail umbrella from Tenzou’s fingers, “is knowing when to initiate.” Suddenly he was right there, the Vs of their thighs intersecting. Even through the layers Tenzou could feel the warm strength in the leg pressed against his. He swallowed as Kakashi splayed his long-fingered hands at the top of Tenzou’s thighs and leaned in. The urge to laugh had disappeared. Tenzou was acutely aware of his own breathing, and the warm gust of breath over his ear as Kakashi murmured: “And you won’t have to call me Kakashi-sama. Just senpai will suffice.”

Oh shit. Tenzou’s heart was pounding like he was on mission, his fight or flight kicking into overdrive but neither response was right for this. He groped for some words, any words, to defuse the tension. “Will I have to take notes?”

“I prefer hands-on learning.” The hands in question were now cradling his hips, and fuck if Tenzou was confused about what he wanted, his dick was not. 

“W--when do we start?”

“When you’re sober.” Just as suddenly the heat bracketing him was gone. Kakashi had retreated to his section of the bar and buried his nose again in his book. “Regretting last night’s decisions in the cold light of day is much more fun without a hangover.”
