Stickers

Overhaul was a man that made countless lifes a living hell. For being the type of man he is and a yakuza, it was always a piece of cake for him to make even the toughest man around Japan fall on the floor on their knees and literally cry and beg for their life's.

But... he never thought that he could ruin someone's life by... snatching a fork out of his their hand when he was about to poke the outlet or when he took Kaito's out of Pops arms once because the poor elder had to go to the bathroom. And surely he never thought he could make someone cry this hard by just... throwing away a band aid the kid was using for the whole day.

It wasn't even because Kaito got hurt, he just found it cool the drawings on the band air and proclaimed he was wearing it forever... well, until he decided to take off after Kaito had taken a bath.

"What was I suppose to do? Frame it?" Kai asked in sarcasm as you sighed while the kid wailed on the floor about his missing band-aid.

"Kaito baby-" you tried to approach your son but the kid cried harder and scurried over to a corner of the room to just curl up and sob. "Oh God..."

"We can just leave him until he is-" he winced when you elbowed his arm as he glared at you.

For being his wife, you could do things that not even Pops would ever have the courage or patience to with Chisaki Kai. Despite his attitude and personality, Kai deeply cared and loved you and his son on his own way... but Kaito was sure testing his patience those last months.

"There there..." You cooed while going near your son and patting his back until the boy's loud sobs turned into soft hiccups as he crawled on your lap before you stood up with him on your arms "its okay, you can always get a new one."

"But that one was cool..." the little boy whimpered as he sniffed, a trail of snot failing onto your shoulder as your husband grimaced at it and quickly grabbed something to wipe it... even if it had gotten to your shirt already.

"It's was just a band-aid." He muttered, hoping his son had at least a bit of reason in him.

Spoilers, he didn't. Because he is a 3 years old.

"IT WASN'T!" The boy suddenly screamed making you and Kai wince before the kid returned to his sobs as you could only glare at your husband.

Kai only groaned before leaving the room, leaving you with jaw open at his audacity.

After only a few minutes of you trying to calm Kaito down, and a bit annoyed at your husband's intensity towards his own son, you saw the man himself entering the room with a very annoyed expression but holding a notebook you had never saw it in your life.

You arched a eyebrow at him until he just waved at you and made Kaito look up at him, tilting his chubby chin up from where he was hiding in your shoulder.

"There, take this and stop crying over a band-aid." Kai simply took a whole page of the notebook out and mentioned for his son to take it... your eyes widened at it along with your son's.

It was a whole page of untouched and preserved stickers... stickers for a little boy practically.

Kaito's eyes seemed to shine as he awed at it as you slowly put him down. The kid's wobbly lips turned into a big smile and dashed to hug his father's legs as Kai flinched at it but soon pat his son's head before the little boy ran out of the room.

"Where did you even get this? And so quick too?" You muttered in astonishment but soon noticed the tip of his ears turning a faint color of pink.

"... it was.. an old notebook of mine. I liked to keep those and not use them, that one it's probably the only one I had with actual stickers for kids to use." He muttered in embarrassment as you almost cried at how fucking cute this new information of your husband was.

"You're so adorable." You whimpered as your husband growled at you before he winced at the sudden hug and kisses you were giving him now "And such a cute father as well."

"Stop this woman." He growled while looking at everywhere except for you as you kissed his jaw, then cheeks and finally the place where he longed for, his lips.

The kiss was some sorta of innocent, but it brought how much you two bond actually was strong and deep, giving him a warm feeling he could never describe it while in you brought happiness all over your mind... and a bit of warmth down.

"Could never imagine you were this type of kid to keep your stickers." You snickered after you broke the kiss, your hands carrying his scalp and arms wrapped around his neck as he scoffed, yet with his arms wrapped around your waist. "Although I got to ask something Kai..."

He only arched an eyebrow at you, a silent way to tell you to carry on.

"Was it a REALLY good idea to give him a full page of stickers?" You asked a bit in hesitation and soon you saw those usually monotonous golden eyes widening in terror at his own mistake.

"Shit shit SHIT-" He started to freak out as both of you darted out of the room to chase your kid that had a full page PF stickers ready to be glued basically... EVERWHERE.

You sighed in relief at finding Kaito was only sticking the stickers on Pops as Kai's eye twitched a bit.

The elder looked up at both of you, an arm full of childish stickers on and even one of a car was glued to his right cheek but thankfully far away from his beard.

"The boy wanted to play and I couldn't just say no to those (Y/e) eyes of his." The old man merely chuckled as Kaito mumbled to give him his left hand to stick another one.

"Mama papa it looks like tattoos!" The boy exclaimed while lifting the older man arm up.

You giggled while Kai could only deadpan. The elder suddenly widening his eyes and smiling much like the grinch would until he whispered something onto Kaito's ears.

The kid nodded and soon grabbed the page that was remaining some stickers and went towards Kai, ready to give him one.

"No. Don't you dare." Kai growled but the kid soon started to laugh and run after his father.

You looked at the elder and the man only chuckled.

"You can't give Kai a break, can't you?" You muttered with a shake of your head but still giggling no less.

"No my dear, accept this as a karma for what he did to me when he was younger." The elder cackled.

At the end of the day, Kai had to begrudily let his son glue at least one sticker on him or else he would be throwing a fit of sobs once again.

Truthfully, I don't think Gosho understands the meaning of making Kaishin cousins. What kind of family doesn't even know each others names. Like the fact that neither of the brothers felt the need to introduce them. Did they even introduced their wives, because till now all of interactions between family are related to Yukiko's apprenticeship under Toichi.

You can't tell Shinichi wouldn't have added 2+2 together. Also, this completely changes the dynamics of Shinichi being involved with BO. Because either thier family just became involved with another Big Bad Organisation or Yusakuu knew the Organisation after Shinichi but didn't give him all the information.

Ofcourse, that's not counting all the trauma they inflicted on Kaito with decisions. All Gosho has proved is that they (Yasakuu & Toichi, and some extent Chisaki & Yukiko) are NOT fit guardians At All.

Heya, I'm Vee, 18+ years old, female (she/her) from the CET timezone! I'm looking for a few new Fandom Roleplays!

I'm looking for Canon x OC, FxM only (will double for AxA) and very much offer to Double! I only roleplay on Discord.

I am semi-literate to literate. I can write a couple paragraphs, but I prefere not having too much pressure when it comes to length. I usually type around the max. length on Discord, sometimes more. But somedays it might be a bit less.

I write my OC in first person and the character I double as (plus any additional ones) in third person.

I am in college and not the most active (most likely no rapid fire), yet I try to answer regularly and ask of my partner to be patient. Roleplaying is just a hobby for me, so I don't wanna force myself to reply, if I still got work to do or wanna spend my freetime with something else.

I am a big fan of Romance, Angst and Drama! I also like mature themes and topics, like unhealthy relationships, perhaps some yandere here and there and a couple AUs! Smut is possible, yet would I prefere to let it be an afterthought, instead of the whole story.

Is there a reason why I decided to remake a fic of my family au? No, not really, but I wanted to.

Why did he agreed on this? Why?

He could be free of any eyebags,. He could have more time om his work, projects to get the hassaikai back to their glory... more PRIVATE time with you.

But no. No, no no. Have a kid Chisaki they said, it will be a great experience they said.

"Daddy I threw up." The four years old boy mumbled in the door of his office and he could only grimace at the hint of the puke on the corner of his son's lips and all over his shirt.

It wasn't a fucking great experience at all when it came to this.

Kaito had came down with a lot of bad case of colds recently... ever since he was put into a pree school at least. It was normal for kids to get easily sick when they get introduced to a new environment with lots of children in it.

But he swore to all above that sometimes he would even beg to you, ON HIS KNEES EVEN, that if you guys just could home school your son since it was getting him sick like this VERY single time.

But you refused.

At first he was enraged but then you came with a very valid point.

'Kaito needs to interact with more people outside the yakuza... I don't have anything against the precepts, but I think our son deserves to have a normal childhood with actual friends close to his age at least.'

He hated when you were right...

He also wouldn't particularly enjoy that his son got too close with precepts either... he did killed Mimic for teaching Kaito the word 'shit'...

It also didn't help that YOU WERE OUT. You had went along with Chrono to retrieve the medicines the doctor had prescribed on the last visit so now he was basically alone with his kid.

His very dirty and sick kid.

"Good lord..." he growled and stood up from his chair as the boy bounced back and forth... despite being sick, Kaito was still fairly acting like it wasn't a big deal...

"Where is mommy?" The boy as he leaded him to the bathroom to get him cleaned, grab some towels..... and a new pair of gloves.

"Out." He groaned while carefully sliding the shirt off his son and immediately dumping into the basket of clothes ... the smell was almost making him wanting to throw his guts out as well...

"I want mommy... " the boy grumbled "You don't know how to do this..."

"Excuse me?" He breathed out in offense at this kid basically telling him he can't do something right "Get in the shower Kaito. Now."

"No."

This brat....

"Get in there before I make you." He growled and the little boy, already used to his father's attics, just had the audacity to show his tongue at him and turn his back to him.

"You dont how to wash my hair." The four years complained and Chisaki's right eye started to twitch.

"What do you mean by that-"

"Mommy does it better than you."

He groaned... his son was just as stubborn as him and he swore this was karma sended by the old man himself that ALSO was the one that proclaimed he wanted grandkids.

He just took his gloves off and went to grab Kaito's by the waist but the calm and collected kid started to trash around and making a fuss and even yelled when he was put under the water...

He also got splashed as well.... his dress t shirt and black pants now completely soaked.

Kaito when he got sick he acted like it didn't bother him, but he also would get extremely annoyed, clingy and even bossy...

And the fact that the kid also made a fuss to GET OUT of the shower he DIDN'T want to enter at first also started to pick on his damn nerves...

"What did you even ate before you threw up?" He growled while drying the kid who was sniffing for both being sick and crying out earlier about his father taking him out of the water.

"Just some sliced apples... and a chocolate bar uncle Rappa gave me-"

"WHAT?!" He accidentally yelled, immediately feeling like a dick for making his son flinch from the sound..

It reminding him of... her.

"... you can't eat those things when you got problems on your stomach." He said more calmly and drying his son's hair way gentler than usual "It just makes things worse and it ends with you throwing up."

Kaito's (E/c) looked up to his father and nodded, more calm than earlier as Kai sighed... The kid wasn't dumb, he knew when his father was out of patient or just tired... he could even sense it when the yakuza leader was down in the dumb.

Call it whatever you want. But the kid swore it was a talent that only him and his mother could have. The ability to understand Chisaki Kai.

His grandmother always told him that so he believed it.

"Sorry." The kid finally mumbled catching Kai's attention... usually golden cold eyes softening a bit.

"... is fine." He patted his son's head... he resisted the urge to smirk when his son's closed his eyes with a small giggle.

"Hey! I'm back from the- oh." You immediately stopped on your tracks in the living room as soon as you saw Kai, holding his son like a dog, making him take a liquid medicine.

"MOMMY HELP HE IS TRYING TO KILL ME!" the boy whined and immediately got out of his father's death grip to run into you while sobbing a bit...

"He just threw up minutes ago." Kai growled while pointing to the culprit you had just picked up.

"He threw up and you didn't made a fuss out of it?" You teased your husband who only growled at you "I'm shocked."

"No. He was bad at it. See mama?" Kaito pulled a bit his hair "He forced me to take a shower and my hair is now weird... daddy also mentioned he would kill uncle Rappa."

"Listen here you little sh-"

"KAI!"

"He is asleep.." You sighed in relief before closing the door to your son's room and but soon catching your husband unusual expression of... worry? Dread? You couldn't exactly tell.

Apparently sensing your gaze on him he just stayed with his arms crossed over his chest before sighing.

"I don't think is normal for a infant to get constantly sick like this..."

Ah... so that was it.

He was worried. Worried that his son would only get worse on his health, worried that Kaito would be sick like this all of time.

Kai wouldn't ever say that out loud.. he would never express it with words that he was worried or cared for either Kaito or you... his actions though, express it louder how much he actually cared. From offering small acts of service to satisfy your wants and even allow himself to get out of his comfort zone to touch you...to protecting his kid on the playground like a angry wolf protecting his cub only because the kid had pushed Kaito with a bit more strength than usual.

Chisaki could be very bad with emotions... but he had them, and believing it or not, he felt them strongly.

"Is alright... the doctor already told us it's a common cold... Kaito is still young and is still developing his immune system..." You mumbled, offering to touch his arm as a warning to not make him uncomfortable.

He simply sighed, a sign you could touch him as you started to carres his upper arm...

"... is not a very... pleasant sensation to see him... on this state. I mean, not only is a mess and this brat gets even more audacious as usual but..." he stopped himself from talking with a scowl before widening his eyes when you made him turn to kiss his lips.

"I'm worried for our son too. But he is strong, just like his parents." You smiled up at your husband before he scoffed, turning to look back to his son's room. A faint blush present on the tip of his ears.

He didn't liked the feeling of his chest contracting in a painfully way every time when Kaito sobbed a bit that he was feeling weird and went straight to you as a comfort... he despised the idea of possibly getting whatever Kaito had but he also felt that it would hurt less if he got this damn cold rather his first born...

It was a very complicated feeling.

But...

Whenever he spotted his son. Giggling, laughing, running... playing with you, Chrono or Pops... it meant that he was well again... he was indeed health.

So yeah... things like seeing your smile and his son's smile... was worth all the nights without sleep or even the worst feeling of deep worry...

.... he didn't regret it. He would go back in time and agree all over again with you to have that brat he swore he would protect you and with his life.

Starting over

Last Detective Conan fic-- well, it’s a series, actually--, because I don’t like much the other ones that I haven’t mentioned yet.

So, today we have Starting over (which is a ridiculous name... but fitting), started back in 2015 and last updated in 2017. Another KaiShin... “story”, of course. More... well, below, as always.

Technically speaking, this series has an end. It’s also not quite complete, because I left several things up in the air that I planned to write... at some point... but, it’s finished with a proper ending, too. So, I’d... say it’s finished. Just... might receive some more parts at some point. But, really, only parts 1 & 7 (first and last) are quite necessary... or not even that, because they can all stand alone, so...

Like I mentioned, I started (over) back in 2015, when I was wondering how to get Kaito and Shinichi together after a canon where Conan manages to get back to his body. So, I wrote a one-shot with the two interacting after the whole antidote thing! Then, one year later, I decided, “ok, that wasn’t romantic at all, let’s give them some romance,” which is how Starting over (the series) began.

Since, I’ve written 5 other stories for the series. A meeting between Kaito and Yukiko, Shinichi and Ran breaking up (though they never actually dated), Shinichi meeting Kaito’s friends (+ the regional witch), Kaito being overprotective, and the aftermath of the break-up (with Ran, that is).

It’s a story that might grow at an point, but isn’t too likely, any more. I had plans, had things that I wanted to add (some Haibara, for example, and Yuusaku. Probably Chisaki, too, but not too sure there... oh, and some Tantei-dan, too), but I’ve since wandered off the fandom, and... while there is the chance I return to it at some point (like I said, the first story was posted in 2015, while the last update was in 2017, so it’s not like I never return to my old fandoms...), I don’t put much hope in it. Unfortunately.

But, like I said, it’s all very much complete, on its own. Most things added afterwards were just to build on the two morons growing closer, or things that might’ve stood in their way if I hadn’t... ah, decided to toss it to the side, at the beginning.

(mainly Ran. I mean. Ran and Shinichi are awful to each other, and I’ll stand by that no matter what. They are good friends? Yes. They work well as siblings? Yes. They work well as romantic partners? Hell no! What Shinichi did to Ran was just... ughhhh. I have so many feelings about it that, if I were to discuss it, better to make it a separate post, because it’d be a rant. Anyway, at least I liked what I did to Ran in this series. Really, we need to talk is one of my favourite stories in this series!)

So. Yes. That. If anyone has any interest in a post-canon KaiShin story(...ies), it’s here. Starting over, with the story of same name, yay. Go ahead and knock yourselves out, if you want to! (but also... take into consideration this thing wrote itself throughout 2-3 years, and my writing... changed. A bit --or lot-- in between as I grew up, so...)

It was very common to see the twins fighting. To bear witness to them attempting to kill one another until they were mutually exhausted and drawn to a stalemate. The area would be covered in holes, spikes, and walls- the Chisaki siblings would be worn down on either side of the room, panting and exhausted. Unable to overhaul anything else for continued combat due to pain in their arms. Afterwards Kaito would shuffle back to his office with Hari’s help, and Kai would return to his room adjacent to Eri’s. Both seeking to (metaphorically) lick their wounds and recover.

Today, however, was different. Today was the day of the Raid at long last. Kai had generously provided Nighteye with additional information, enough evidence of criminal activity to get his twin locked up for the rest of his life. And, he'd even promised to assist in the Raid himself. To take on Kaito directly, letting the others work through the facility to detain the other yakuza and acquire Eri. All while the medical hero preoccupied the villain.

A fact that he did not share with Nighteye however, was that he didn't plan to arrest his twin at all. He expected that one of them wouldn't be coming out of this fight alive. Either he would arrive on top and put a permanent end to Eri's tormentor, or he would die and hope for Eri to grow up happily at UA. Either way, this fight would prove to be their last. Either way, Kai could be happy with his attempt.

A flurry of spikes shot towards him, only to be blocked by a sturdy wall. The action was repeated in reverse. Both knew the other was out for blood. Both knew to not exhaust themselves quite yet. Both knew this fight would end in death.

Kai, having left divots to climb with, rushed to the top of his wall, contacting the ceiling now. Pillars shot down all around his twin, an attempt to crush him into paste made futile when the other overhauled them into a fine dust. Vision became compromised for both of them, but Kaito knew where his twin was perched in that moment. A column of rock pierced the veil of dust, colliding harshly with the hero's chest and knocking him down from his wall. Down to the ground, where the air was forced from his lungs and he was reduced to a fit of bloody and painful coughing.

There was definitely something broken. A few ribs he needed to repair at the very least. Propping up onto one elbow, he lifted a hand to his own chest and prepared to fix himself quickly. But before he could make contact-

"Master Overhaul!" Dread crept into Chisaki, hearing the voice of one of his twin's puppets and heavy footsteps getting closer. He figured that this person would attack him, make the already strained fight become even more against him. Assure him of his apparent upcoming death. But no, instead the person knelt down in front of him, allowing Chisaki a clear view of the yakuza member; Yu Hojo. "Master- what's going on? Who are you fighting?"

Relief bloomed in Kai's chest in that moment, a slight thankfulness that he and his twin shared the same abysmal sense of style… and in plague masks. That even as a hero, he resembled the other enough for this confusion to be made possible. That now? He had a chance to win.

Not taking the time to answer Hojo, Chisaki reached up and grabbed his face. The other hand moved those last few inches to press his own chest. With not a moment to lose, he overhauled them both; repairing his own injuries and fusing them into the clearest amalgamation he could picture. He honestly hadn’t made use of this facet of his quirk often, unlike his twin. But still, he’d done it occasionally to capture villains. He knew how to do it. What he needed; something agile, not too large, and defensive enough that his twin could not easily harm him again.

Light blinked, hidden from Kaito’s view by the wall, as Kai chose the form he’d use to kill the other.

Something with spikes. Something with crystalized claws. A porcupine of crystals encasing his entire back, spilling down his spine until they were stacking on top of one another. Further and further down, forming a tail that thrashed out behind him and left deep gashes in the nearest wall. It all weighed heavily on him, forcing him to lean forward to maintain balance. It hurt, his quirk always hurt, but he knew this would be the boost he needed. The means by which he could win and save Eri years of torment.

His form was completed, and Hojo’s mind was suppressed deep within him. Though Kai was a hero, he felt no guilt in forcing the other to be an accomplice here.

As the last wisps of dust began to clear from the destroyed pillars, the hero clawed his way back up the wall. He perched atop it, silent as death, before plunging headlong into the remaining dust. Where his twin undoubtedly was hiding and recovering. He didn’t need to see the other though. All he needed to do was land, turn, and thrash his newly made crystal tail across the entire dusty area. To break apart whatever chunks of rubble remained, until he felt it. Contact with something that made a very unpleasant squish before being flung out of the dust and into a wall.

Leaning forward, Kai charged in that direction. He wouldn’t- couldn’t give the other time to heal. So as soon as he cleared the visual obstruction, as soon as he could see his twin? Chisaki slammed his tail into the ground, pushing him up and sending him colliding harshly with the other. They spiralled to the ground, with Kai easily righting himself and locating the other’s sprawled form. Kaito was lifting his hand, about to hit the ground and create who knows what…

But Kai didn’t allow it. He turned, lashing claws and hearing a meaty thud, and a brutal crunch. Blood dripped from his crystalized talons, as well as from the hand that sat severed a few feet away. Not letting either of them fully process the situation, Kai plunged all of the claws from his opposite hand into the back of Kaito’s remaining one, tearing into the palm like butter and lifting it up. Pulling it away from anything that he might be able to overhaul. His twin screamed as Kai began to steadily move his fingers apart, gradually tearing it apart.

“You deserve this.” He hissed, yellow gaze turning from the bloody mess down to his sibling. His twin. “You deserve more than this.” Kai remembered how they were. Alone on the streets before being taken in by Pops. Staying at each other’s side constantly. Never one without the other…

Until Eri showed up. Eri whom Kai taught himself to care about. Eri whom Kaito saw as only a means to an end, a tool.

Steadily, the jagged crystal tail lifted, swaying a bit until it was lined up perfectly over the other. “If only you’d listened...then I wouldn’t have to do this to the only blood family I have left.”

The screams of pain subsided for a moment, eyes full of pain and anger alike turning to look at the crystal covered hero directly. “Do- Don’t do this… Kai we can talk about this, you won’t ever have to see me again. Please-”

Steadily, the Medical Hero’s gaze locked with Kaito’s. He said nothing to him in response. Simply closed his eyes, and slammed the spiked tail down on top of his twin. Over… and over again. Every time there was a meaty thump, the feeling of something warm and wet covering what skin he had exposed. Kai could feel his chest tightening, his breathing becoming shallow as he kept it up. Soon he slipped his claws out of the mangled hand, tail slamming down one more time before slowly sliding away from whatever corpse it had left. Chisaki felt the bitter warmth of tears rolling down his cheeks and he forced his eyes to open. To witness what he’d done- what he’d had to do.

The sight made him want to retch into his own mask. His twin’s body, nothing more than a bloody mess. Meaty chunks, shattered pieces of bone, clothing torn to shreds by each impact. It was no longer his brother. Barely even a corpse anymore. The mess would have to be mopped up, not carried off. There weren’t even enough solid pieces left to put in a shoe box…

On shaking legs, Chisaki stood. Forced himself to stand. The weight of crystals still forced him into a hunched position, and the weight in his chest made the tail too heavy to lift. He would keep this twisted fusion for the time being. Just long enough to get him to the police. Just long enough to explain that he’d had no choice but to end the Yakuza boss. That it was life or death.

They would trust him. He was intimidating, but they would trust him. Then he could take Eri, and give her a good life. Get her into school, into a safe home. Away from this awful place. He could mourn the loss of his blood relative in silence. Where nobody but he knew the truth of the fight.
