GENSHIN MANGA SPOILERS! but honestly if you haven’t read it by now it’s your fault alone
So why did Kaeya initially try to hurt Collei?
The obvious answer- he was trying to defend Mondstadt, Collei was a very suspicious figure at the time, and he knew that being aggressive towards her would probably draw out her hidden powers and reveal herself as the culprit of the Black Fire incident.
But there’s more to it than that.
Kaeya canonically loves, LOVES kids. He adores them- there’s lots of times in the game where he talks about how precious childhood is and how he wants to protect the purity of childhood dreams for as long as possible before kids have to grow up and face the real world (kinda similar to Childe). In 3.8, it shows how he is literally willing to do anything to protect a child- Klee, when he literally throws aside his own sibling issues in order to shield Klee from being exposed to the same thing and scolds a couple of bickering brothers for upsetting her.
Additionally, there’s his whole thing with Mika and how he’s basically a big brother figure to the entirety of Mondstadt’s population under 17. The highly implied bond between Bennett, Razor, Fischl and him, even.
Anyway this whole aspect of his character obviously stems from his own childhood and how tainted it was by his hidden identity, so like he probably doesn’t want any other kids to have to go through such hardship especially while they’re still young.
So if he loves kids so much, and wants to protect them so badly, why did he not hesitate to become a full blown villain against Collei, literally wounding an innocent 12-year old girl?
Because he sees himself in her.
Collei hates herself (or at least she used to LOL). She hates the burden (her powers) that was forced upon her from a young age, and those powers inevitably label her as a bad person, one who can harness evil powers to kill And hurt and whatever. It makes her feel like she has no real control over herself, and that she has no self-identity- she doesn’t think of herself as a regular person, instead a monster. And she hates, hates, hates herself for it, but she shoves all of it down under a mask.
Sound familiar to a certain cavalry captain?
That’s why Kaeya didnt hesitate to Go after her. He knows her too well, knows that she’s hiding her true identity under a well-crafted face, that there’s something evil and dark in her- because that’s exactly who he was as a kid.
But then this panel happens.
Tumblr media
Collei, evidently so tired of living such a torn life, gives up and offers her life to Kaeya just so that the torment can end, which stops Kaeya in his tracks, because that’s when she reminds him off himself just a little too much.
Kaeya, so caught up in her uncontrollable evil, forgets that she’s just a child, one who never should’ve been forced to deal with such a thing, and certainly not want to die because of it.
That’s exactly what happens internally to him, as well. Over the years, Kaeya internalized being a traitor so much, that often he convinces himself that he’s truly not a good person. Yes, he acknowledges that it’s really not his fault, but that still gets lost and it shows through when Kaeya shows us how willing he is to get himself harmed- because of his self hatred, he places so little value in his own wellbeing and his own life, because he thinks that all harm that comes to him is deserved and that it’s better off if he’s dead anyway so that he doesn’t have to deal with being torn apart every day.
No I’m not making this up, it’s in how he literally covers for Diluc all the time and risks himself in the process, and how Adelinde told us about that one time Kaeya literally took Diluc’s punishment for himself when they snuck into the wine cellars. There’s lots of times, even throughout in the game where Kaeya tries to convince us he’s not a good person- he quite literally says that, at some point.
Only when Collei shows that she’s in the exact same position does Kaeya realize what he’s doing and stops himself. Only then does he remember how painful and hard it really is, and he ends up helping to save Collei and removing her powers, because that’s one burden he can help take off, unlike his own.
Idk man for me the Kaeya vs Collei fight (I like to call it the chapter where collei gave us the hottest panel of Kaeya choking ever) told a story about Kaeya’s internalizations, too, and his own-self hatred and how deep it really goes. BRB CRYING

i can't get my mind off of kaeya's hangout. kaeya's unending thoughtfulness and kindness. kaeya thinking of everyone from back home while he was away, missing them and going out of his way to get all of them personalized gifts. kaeya missing his family and them missing him even more. kaeya directly quoting shakespeare and thus pleasing my classic lit enthusiast self. adelinde answering the long debated question of which ragnvindr sibling was a little menace and which was the one following said menace in every step (turns out i was right amongst many who thought the same). kaeya most certainly knowing of venti's identity and venti struggling to keep his act up around him. kaeya getting albedo and klee matching gifts, a set, further emphasizing their great found family bond and his own belonging to it. crepus indulging in kaeya's shenanigans and making him his own semi-alcoholic drink as a treat. kaeya playing all the characters (the bandit, the prince...) without needing to stay in character, for it is he himself that speaks from them. adelinde knowing exactly how kaeya likes his food. kaeya - unable to get diluc's name out of his mouth - alberich. my personal headcanon of kaeya being fond of birds (enjoying birdwatching and singing to them) proving to be true. diona wanting to curse every drunkard with anemo archon's wrath not knowing that her beloved archon is a drunkard himself. kaeya's endearing and genuine love for people and being around them. the foreshadowing for kaeya's own story in the play he acted in and him admitting it resonates with him deeply, thus explaining why he knows it by heart. kaeya canonically embodying his nickname 'prince charming' and serving as an eye candy for many. kaeya's wish to rid himself of the shackles of fate, to rise above it and challenge his destiny. kaeya proudly stating his connection to diluc and crepus, without batting an eye. adelinde reminding him that he has always been one of their own, and that he always shall be. kaeya dancing the night away in a land far from home and having genuine fun. hoyoverse giving us a jeanlisa, kaebedo and kaejean moment all in the same scene. kaeya's and klee's shared childlike wonder and mutual understanding. kaeya revealing the secret behind the coin he constantly plays with. diluc memorizing every lie and excuse of kaeya's that he uses to spend time and indulge in pleasure in his rightful home. kaeya subtly implying that he only acts part-time currently (if you understand what i'm hinting at). the ending 'the grapes of warmth' being a reference to steinbeck's 'the grapes of wrath', once again pleasing my nerdy ass. diluc being protective over his staff and dawn winery family. kaeya being a typical younger sibling and taking every chance to tease the older one. venti sneezing around diona. klee's misunderstanding of the events surrounding kaeya making the situation twice as wholesome. kaeya, once more, doing everything in his power to help jean and make her work life easier. kaeya knowing the schedule of the winery staff members and diluc despite not being around as much. diluc willing to openly display another one of kaeya's gifts inside the winery. adelinde serving us a ragbros childhood story along with a nice, home-cooked meal each time we meet her. kaeya being a beloved son not only to his adoptive father, but to many. diluc's staff trying to cover for his darknight hero vigilante persona as if kaeya doesn't know about it. kaeya helping out the people in need, out of the good of his heart, no questions asked and not needing anything in return. the ragbros nation predicting plenty of scenarios, one of them being grape picking that, as it turns out, kaeya indeed participated in. venti writing kaeya a personalized poem, once again accepting him as a child of mondstadt.

Hello! i absolutely love your work <33 can i request sagau scaramouche rates your taste in genshin boys pt 2. with diluc, kaeya and zhongli??
SAGAU SCARAMOUCHE RATES YOUR TASTE IN GENSHIN MEN PT. 2
Tumblr media
❀ synopsis: you introduce your friend/unofficial sibling to your lover, what could possibly go wrong? everything...
❀ notes: AJNDJNEHBFH MY FIRST REQUEST!!! thank you so much for the support and reblogs, I'm also very honored you like my writing! here's the first part
❀ pronouns: none specified
Tumblr media
Diluc Ragnvindr: 2/10
Diluc is this 🤏 close to receiving a 1/10 if he continues to invade you and Scaramouche's sibling bonding time. Obviously, the two don't get along (and will probably never get along) due to Diluc's past and Scara's trust issues, the two argue a lot about you while you're just there vibing with the lamp grass unaware of the commotion.
He's heard of it all, the youngest Cavalry Captain who left the Knights to pursue Monstadt's enemies alone. He'd sometimes use his knowledge of Diluc's past to provoke him, and boy does it provoke him. The two went into a full-blown fistfight at one point, with the occasional use of a vision since their weapons have been thrown aside by the other.
Scaramouche is clingy to the ones who stay by his side, and Diluc is protective of the ones he loves, so you can imagine what it was like when Diluc saw you walking along with Scaramouche (who Diluc knows as the Balladeer, the 6th harbinger of the Fatui) when you told him that you would be introducing a very close friend of yours. It started with Diluc carrying you on his shoulder and running away, with a wild Scaramouche on his tail. And ended with Diluc being treated by Barbara and Scaramouche being treated by Nahida.
You really have to manage your time here, the two won't ever get along and if you spend more time with the other, the one you didn't spend time with will go visit the other and start demanding that they leave you alone. Diluc would wonder how you could ever tolerate and even care for Scaramouche, whatever your reason is he wouldn't be able to understand. Scaramouche would ask when will you break up with Diluc, and would pout if you reply that you wouldn't break up with him.
Tumblr media
Kaeya: 3/10
Just right next to Venti, and he would soon be ranked right next to his brother if Kaeya doesn't learn to shut the fuck up-
Arrogant, lazy, and a teasing prick. How many more traits can Kaeya have to piss people off? Scaramouche already looks down on humans, and seeing Kaeya with you disgusts him as he believes you deserve so much better. their first impressions of each other were bad, you can feel the tension in the air when the two just stood there with fake smiles.
He hates it when Kaeya tags along in your travels, even insisting on helping the both of you with your journeys when he has free time. Scaramouche would make a passive-aggressive comment on how the two of you don't need his help, and that you are both capable of defending each other. if you agreed to Kaeya joining Scaramouche would be appalled, before turning around so no one can see the expression on his face. Why did you agree??
The two are in a contest with how much they're provoking each other. If the other one breaks and lash out, the one who didn't wins. Their words to each other are sharp, and even when they're having a decent conversation with the other it's only when you're around, and even then it has slight undertones and hidden threats. Good lord, I hope you have a lot of patience.
Tumblr media
Zhongli/Rex Lapis/Morax: 4/10
You know that situation where someone's little sister is dating a boy and the big brother tries to be intimidating but the boy she's dating is taller and stronger than the big brother. Yeah that's the situation Scaramouche is in, but you are not a little girl nor is Zhongli just a human boy.
He's very annoyed with the situation, he's supposed to be the reliable one! What is this skyscraper of a man doing here?! Ngl he might be a tad bit insecure with the situation and would be at arm's length around you the entire time Zhongli was around the both of you. After the first few weeks of introducing him to Zhongli Scaramouche would notice just how pathetic this man is for you, and would find it amusing to watch.
Though it would soon turn to annoyance when Zhongli slowly starts dedicating all his time to you and going as far as to do his paperwork right next to you. This pet of yours is slowly turning into a pest, and he wants to get rid of it immediately. Zhongli would notice how Scaramouche is excluding him from your travels and would confront him about it in private. After the confrontation the atmosphere between the two became suffocating.
The only thing holding back Zhongli from throwing an entire mountain at the child was the fact that you and Scaramouche have a bond similar to siblings. The two of you insult each other but it never held any sort of ill-intent, and you both travel together frequently. Zhongli would rather die than be hated by you, and killing/hurting Scaramouche is a one-way ticket to being hated. So for now, he would just try to spend as much time with you, even if it means being next to the purple haired brat.

Of course siblings will be the reason why I'm now attached to Genshin. :')
Tumblr media
Headcanon: The only times these two have a normal conversation without the bickering or awkwardness is when Kaeya talks about gossip.
I don't even see Diluc as someone who seeks out gossip (unless related to his darknight hero duties), but he knows about it anyway because Kaeya keeps informing him about the latest gossip in Mondstadt. That's their weird way of bonding in their somewhat neutral relationship.
Please. Sibling reconciliation quest when-

✤ — Universe: Sister! ✤ — Concept: The twin travelers Aether and Lumine lament over the loss of their older sibling following their argument and the destruction of their homeland. Little did they know who awaits their presence in the realm of the Abyss. ✤ — Characters: Aether & Lumine (platonic), Paimon, Diluc, Kaeya, Dainsleif A/N: Look at what's finally out of the prison called my drafts lmao- Dishing out some delicious plate of sibling angst. Behold, (Sister)AbyssLeader!MC. Ah yes, Aether & Lumine need hugs, they're terribly sad. Now, let's explore a common misunderstanding between siblings :))
Tumblr media
“Please just reconcile already.”
It's quiet—a poignant sound that demands to be heard through the dissonance. And it's heard.
“... Pardon?”
The clash of fiery bellows and icy roars meets again only to melt and vaporize in the wind. Silence is all that ensues until eyes start turning.
In the dead of the night, in a tavern now holding a few people in its belligerent-turned atmosphere, something breaks; patience.
There is a small, tentative voice. Shaken with understanding.
“Lumine-”
“Make up already! You shouldn't-” the blonde in question blinks as if she's trying to keep something at bay, “Siblings shouldn't fight. You'll regret it so please,”
The air is cold.
“Before it's too late... you need to get along.”
No one says a thing. They allow the gravity—the truth in her words to sink in.
But the female Traveler can no longer stand the idea of being in the same room with another pair of siblings who refuse to meet eye to eye.
It's far too similar, far too much in essence that she's the one that's hurting for their sake. So she leaves in a hurry, a sight to behold for a Traveler that's known to be composed.
Her twin brother follows without any ounce of hesitance.
The door shuts, leaving two men to ponder over their blazing glares and frigid tones that have now dissipated in an uneasy silence.
No one is awake on the eve of midnight to witness the Honorary Knights depart with faces contorted into emotions deemed impossible for them to even feature.
Their steps are heavy as they carried themselves past the gates of Mondstadt; a jolly city that isn't so jolly to them anymore.
What hangs in the air—a tension of their own—isn't addressed until their feet have crossed the threshold bridging Mondstat to the crossroads.
“I know what you're going to say, Aether, don't. I just can't help it, okay?”
They shy away from the blue moon and its light, heading towards the canopy of shades provided by the great tree in Windrise. The moon is too stark of a reminder that pains them still.
“Master Diluc... and Captain Kaeya,” two siblings whose bond fell out in their passing years, the same pair they've seen fighting just a while ago, “In the end, all they'll have is each other. If they keep fighting, then... a time will come..”
“You are my younger siblings, it's my responsibility to look after you.” “Don't be hasty, you two.”
“When they will regret it.”
“Were you two world-hopping again? How many times do I have to say that you should at least tell me? It's just the three of us.” “I can't bear to imagine a world without you two.”
Lumine allows herself to fall by the roots of the tree, the swaying of the tall grass reminiscent of the loving caress on her person.
Her throat starts to burn, “And- and..”
“It'd be too late.” Aether completes in his twin's stead, voice profuse with dolor.
Too late.
Two simple words with a meaning so irreversible, a weight too heavy to bear that it will capsize the mightiest of ships and collapse the strongest of towers.
This eventide is the famed and glorified Travelers' own descent into their void of great travail.
What's witnessed to be as firm as a primordial rock, as composed as the still waters, breaks with a small crevice on their form. At long last.
“She was crying, Aether. [Name] never cries, but-” her hands are trembling, unsure what to do with them until she settles for clasping them, “But our homeworld fissured before she can get to us.”
Warmth swarms them—and it's far from being the comforting kind. It is evocative of a time of old, of a time when a world burns.
The siblings hate how centuries—maybe even a millennium now—have already elapsed and still, the sweltering heat of the flames can be felt.
“We were consumed by the flames but we were still able to flee. [Name] didn't know that-”
“You don't know if that's true.”
“She didn't know that we survived! She saw us plummet and she was trying to get to us but we were already transported before she could!” her rising voice astounds her brother, “She probably thought we're still there.. probably stayed behind so she can look for us- she could've perished and-!”
A hand lands upon her shoulder, without a doubt to try and stabilize whatever rationality, sense, and composure is left.
“Lumine, calm down."
Yet even Aether is far from being composed if his shaky hand is anything to go by. Still, his gesture is appreciated, and his sibling mellows out her hysterics to tiny stammers.
It's a painful sight to see; Lumine caving in on herself, trying not to let the tremors seize full control as it did with her brother. Someone needs to- someone needs to have a clear head between them.
Though that's easier said than done.
“It's just that- I- we-”
And the high from emotions suppressed due to the sudden thrust into a different world, the fresh wound of an argument that can't be taken back, they have already made itself known.
The cracks are there and it's too late to hinder it. Now they're breaking.
And they're breaking apart.
“All she ever wanted was to protect us. Do you really think that [Name] would leave after not seeing us flee first?”
Tumblr media
“Just tell me if you're leaving, is that so hard to do? I'm not belittling either of you.”
The same old misunderstanding, how many times have they gone over this?
Aether released a sharp, clipped exhale. He then lifts his eyes to stare upon the slightly larger form of his older sibling, her enormous wings, grander and mightier... and the powerful nimbus exuding off of her.
“Then why do you have to be there in each of our battles? If you could just let us finish, you would see how perfectly capable we are on our own.” it isn't a lie, after all, they were her 'students', too.
[Name] only blinks, face passive, seemingly indifferent. “I worry.”
Worry? The twins try not to think much of their sister's blank visage.
Try not to think that her concern is superficial and exists only for show—that in fact, she does not feel anything. Because they know that [Name] has always been a feeling kind of individual.
Underneath that front of blankness lies a person who feels too much- loves too much for them. Baring those emotions for everyone to see just never has been, well, '[Name]'.
“That's the thing! You worry too much!” Aether bursts, failing to ensure his sangfroid.
There is a gentle tug on his cape, succeeded with a whisper of his name and a 'calm yourself', and he sighs. That second, there is an attempt to assuage his thinning patience before the argument turns uglier than necessary.
But that's almost impossible.
“You're my little siblings. I want to keep you safe, cooperate with me, why don't you?” it's a gentle thing to say, delivered just as gently.
But the aggro that's been accumulating for plenty of years distorts how they perceive such benignity.
Gone is the loving sister they're so fond of, and in her stead is a being with the same face carrying a semblance of care. Such is how their psyche, suffused with spite, warps a supposedly pleasant image into a mockery.
The twins share a look before nodding, their wings lifting them off the ground with the intention to venture past their world once more.
[Name] tenses, blank face displaying a small crevice that leaks alarm as she asks where they're going.
“Far from home for now... just to, to compose ourselves.”
“I don't think you should leave,” her voice is evident with dread, “Lately something's amiss with-”
Lumine sighs, “See, [Name], this is why we don't tell you... you refuse to let us leave.”
A beat of silence.
Did it really come off like that? [Name] swallows with a blink of her golden eyes. I had no intention to... I only ever wanted to know where they're going, it's...
Not knowing where her siblings are is what shakes her to the core.
She lowers her head, the epiphany dawning like the sun, “I... My apologies. I'm sorry.”
“We'll come back,” Aether assures her, though his voice does little to conceal his desire to satiate his wanderlust.
“Don't leave... Aether, Lumine.”
There is a fissure in [Name]'s visage, showing concern and fear upon hearing those words. But her siblings are no longer there to see it.
The twins traveled far and beyond as they dreamt of, only flying to their homeworld after a set time to fulfill their promise of return.
But the world they come back into is no longer the world they left from.
Crimson paints the sky, bleeding with rain that fails to quell the raging inferno. Voices ring in a babel—a chorus singing a requiem in the crumbling, burning earth.
They have no time to wonder why everything's falling apart. There is only one objective. Where, where is—
“Lumine! Aether! Where are you?!”
It's a voice so uncharacteristically profuse with panic that has them veering their eyes from left to right. But the smog hinders their sights, the most they can do is to try and swerve away from equally distressed people who are in the middle of fleeing.
Aether flies through the haze with his twin following behind, hissing at the heat of the enormous flames.
There's another call of his name, nearer than before, and he turns to change course—but someone collides against him. Immediately, his balance is tipped and he's falling in the banquet of flames.
Lumine reaches for him with a yell, their bodies cloaking with a golden light as they descend further into the scorching element.
It's meant to be blazing hot, and they really would've burned if not for the sheltering gold that takes care in preparing to transport them to a faraway world. To safety.
But then [Name] appears just above the flickering tips of the conflagration, features contorted in horror as she continues her cries of their names.
Lumine gasps, reaching out her hand, “[Name]!”
But by the time their older sibling turns down, golden eyes dilating, the flames ravage the twins whole and they're nowhere to be seen.
Tumblr media
“I miss her so much, Aether, it hurts.”
Rivers spill from both eyes and neither has any intent to stop them.
“We couldn't even- we couldn't even apologize.”
Although they are here side by side, together, they are incomplete; they're meant to be a family of three.
“She might be gone now and I hate to think that our last memory together was us fighting.”
Not two.
Lumine fidgets with her hands, unsure what to do with their tremors. She wonders if she should just hide her face in them, or clench them in a semblance of fortitude.
Doing neither, she opts to just clasp and wring her fingers together in an otiose assay to mimic her sister's firm yet gentle hold on it.
She swallows, voice tight, “We don't even have anything in her memory.”
Aether's chest squeezes in remorse as his remaining sibling takes to leaning on his shoulder. He deems it strange to suddenly be the pillar of comfort, a role that's once suited for his older sister.
“I miss [Name], too,” his voice is barely audible on purpose, afraid that it'll waver if it gets any louder, “I'm just as guilty as you are. But she won't like it if we're to keep this up... we need to be strong.”
That indeed is true.
“I'm sure that... she would like us to be that way.”
An older sibling wishes for nothing but the strength of their younger kin; strength to overcome hurdles, to keep their chins up, and to keep on living.
But when adversity comes that threatens one's mettle... when a situation is tailored to enervate you, strength and weakness come to play.
When at its face, which will reign supreme? Vigor or frailty?
Will you fortify—
The Abyss Herald falters under the might of the golden suns, its cursed life a mere second away from snapping into nothingness.
But before it can proceed, there's a swift blur of [c].
—Or will you crumble?
An arching sweep glimmering with stars cuts through the fracas of navy and marigold, deflecting the onslaught of attacks in an easy strike.
The twins skid far back in the violet-tinted site raging with abyssal energy, ears picking up on their recently acquired companion—Dainsleif—and his sharp demand of 'wait'. Followed by a name.
A familiar name that has them stilling.
Dainsleif vanishes into the portal—without care for the Herald—before the Travelers can see who he's chasing, and the portal closes behind him.
They reach an answer implying that his chase is all for naught, though, because whoever he's chasing has no intentions to be caught. And whoever that is is coming back.
No openings are visible until a second later, when a fissure breaks through reality and out saunters a figure whose direction is towards the inverted statue.
“King...” murmurs the abyssal creature.
The title, though perfectly heard, is not paid any attention. No, the siblings focus on the lone figure upon the demolished steps leading towards the forgotten statue.
Aureate eyes widen and settle upon the distant figure of a woman. The same person being lamented over since the twins' arrival in Teyvat.
Despite being sequined in violet and gold, despite being cloaked in the stars... there is no mistaking those [c] tresses. Nor the aura she carries with each step.
Can it be?
“[N]-” Lumine starts, her voice tiny, “[Name]... ? Is that really you?”
A question breathed in a whisper so hushed, yet, it is not unheard.
[Name] looks just as surprised as they are, though her reaction is much more mellow and composed—as if she's considered the thought of them being alive and has clung to that chance.
“Aether... Lumine,” her voice is uncharacteristically soft, opposing the rigidity of her features. “You're alive.”
But underneath that firm layer of coldness, the younger siblings know—they feel the relief. The mutual happiness.
Such can be seen in the glossing of [Name]'s golden eyes, the only similar feature she has with the two.
Hearing their respective names be called out for so long—after long, long centuries spent in unconscious grief—all but beckons the twins' eyes to water.
Sister... !
“We- we are!” Lumine, the first to snap out of her trance, steps forward with a trembling smile.
She cannot believe this- this miracle.
“We're safe. And- and we're complete!” she grabs Aether's hand in hers to add emphasis on the fact that they're all in one place.
Together. Like they used to.
As a family of three.
The blond reaches her hand out in invitation, “Come, let's—”
But maybe that's just wishful thinking.
The unexplained aversion of eyes and the slight change of direction to face the abyssal portal makes Lumine pause her words and drop her hand.
Something does not bode well.
Fraught with dread—and the desire not to ascertain the answer but alas must be done—the air grows colder.
Aether is the next one to step forward, having caught the appearance of a frosty expression on his older sister's face. It's so foreign, so unlike her, so different from the warm fondness on her otherwise blank visage.
What's wrong?
“[Name]?” he does not notice how afraid he sounded.
His approach has not heeded any mind, though, because [Name] is not batting an eye towards him—at them—at all. Instead, she is strolling to the open portal being looked over by the Herald.
She's not looking at them. She's not doing anything- she's-
Leaving?
Their other traveling companion—a sad thing to note that they've forgotten Paimon's presence—shrieks in fluster when Aether bounces to a sprint, hand outreached.
“[Name]-!”
The woman in question slinks to the side, eyes glazed over with a shadow that presages a warning.
Spears of glittering gold rain from above like judgements of the divine, falling around the twins in a circle. A cage.
They've seen it a hundred times, having known their sister's mode of fighting throughout their life. But something is amiss with these spears, they aren't as... gentle as usual.
For even if [Name] seeks to encase someone, she assures that nothing can harm them. Despite having a prisoner, she does not spill their blood in their cages, not until necessary.
But when Lumine seizes hold of the spears, she cries out at the deep, cutting sensation upon her palms. She starts to tremble in her endeavors of searching for the reason why, but [Name]'s eyes remain blank and cold.
It is then apparent that the woman has no plan to let her siblings go after her. Much like what she'd done to Dainsleif.
Which sets a fine line—a division, a rift between them. When supposedly, there should be nothing.
There have always been no such partitions between them, regardless of the mires and disputes. In the end, the three of them never fail to look past it.
“Why are you doing this?” Lumine whispers, voice strained, tinged with disbelief. Why are you turning us away?
Her hands remain motionless at her side, unsure what to do with them now that she can't grasp onto the spears lest she's wounded further.
[Name] blinks once, then turns away. Her eyes still encompass that faraway look, too distant as if she's locked in a time so long ago.
Then with a monotonous voice, she answers, “... To save.”
The twins go still. Save?
“The both of you are in no condition to be with me. Only after you have completed your journey will you understand.”
This particular statement flies by their heads, far too wrapped around the answer 'to save'. To save who? What?
Is it because they turned away from her wishes to keep them safe, that she decided to go astray and fixate on saving someone else?
“Wait- where are you going?!” Aether fusses with wide eyes, seeing the older one of the three beginning to enter the portal.
“Don't leave us-!”
“Where are you going?”
Is it because they couldn't apologize? Because they took her warning for granted?
Lumine makes a quick observation of her cage of golden spears, trying to find a way out, but no such thing is present. She's resigned to striking them with her sword, but it does nothing.
There's no time to think. No time to do anything.
[Name] is leaving and they don't know when they'll see her again, or if they ever will and it's terrifying to imagine.
Is this what she felt?
Lumine is almost powerless, what with her shaking knees. She's afraid, she's too afraid.
In their time in Teyvat, they come to know that it isn't any light-hearted world they know. Teyvat is a dark, dark world shrouded with false, feathery happiness.
[Name] being far too deep in verboten matters of this world entails risks, risks that may cost her life and they can't bear to imagine-
Strewn pride aside, Lumine shouts, “Take us with you! Sister!”
“Don't leave... Aether, Lumine.”
Chagrined, [Name] shakes her head. The distress in her siblings' voices fails to sway her resolve. Not to say that it would in the first place.
The fact is castrating to the twins, who grow cold at this epiphany.
Their hopes of seeing [Name] crumble into resignation dissipates when they realize that she only looks exasperated.
“Until the time to reunite comes, this is our farewell.” she says, only gracing them with one last look before resuming her amble towards the portal.
No. The thought rings through both of the twins' minds.
Reduced to mere whispers, Aether clenches the fabric of his pants, knuckles white as his hurting throat sounds out pleas.
“We're sorry... please, we just saw each other again, don't do this.”
Five hundred years apart, clasping on nothing but the memory of an argument that tore them asunder, their desperation is understandable.
But even their sorries do not touch [Name]'s heart.
When this is again realized, the fear in their chests intensifies.
“Wait.” Lumine murmurs, heart racing. “Don't...”
The Herald bows as its leader passes by, chin held high, unbothered, indifferent—uncaring.
Seeing it ripples the twins with such dread and desperation. They can't believe- they can't believe this.
It's so hypocritical to feel this fear when they too, often left their sister behind bearing the same insouciance. But they feel the fear, feel the horror, and the hysteria—because people only ever feel these when they are the ones playing the tragic role.
Vision befogged with mist, eyes stinging with water, Aether grits his teeth and grabs ahold of the spears.
Pain blossoms in his palms and blood begin to trickle, but that pain is little compared to seeing someone leave.
Turn around. He pleads, but no god hears his pleas.
“We can handle ourselves just fine, [Name]. Don't worry so much.”
“No... no, wait.. ! Sister! Sister!” he exclaims, eyesight blurry as tears start to spill.
He doesn't even know why—is it because lacerations have sliced his hands? Or because [Name] refused the idea of becoming a family again?
In his cloud of reflection, he fails to realize that the cage has disintegrated and his twin is racing with a speed he hasn't seen.
“[Name]!!” Lumine calls, fingertips brushing against the back of her older sister, but she merely passes through the cloak of blue and black—and the portal closes.
Defeated, she sinks to the ground, eyes wide, “Ah... no.”
Paimon does not know how to use her voice as the pair grieves on the stone floor, next to the portal that took their sibling away.
She left no traces, not even a glimmer of flaxen dust from the spears she conjured. Nothing.
Just another memory of her presence—of her departure.
Now, both Aether and Lumine are the ones to soothe the anguish in their hearts.
“... Come back.”
Now, they are the ones to whisper the same words they heard but paid no attention to.

a/n: yes, MC is referred to as a 'King' despite being a woman, this is because the title of 'King' is the highest (and thus most powerful person) in a reigning dynasty. And MC is stronger than the twins (granted we don't know how exactly strong they are but just envision-). So, er, Saber moment? 😆

"how long will it take for you to give up on me?"
- in which you ask him just how long it'll take for your autumn love to completely fall apart. P.1 [ANGST]
CHARACTERS: Diluc, Childe and Xiao (separately) x gn! reader
Tumblr media
Being in a relationship with someone who was still grieving over the death of his late father was exhausting. Terribly so. Even now as you find your bodies intertwined, having the sweetest and most passionate night - holding on like it's the last you'll see of each other ever again, you wonder if this was a stroke of luck or the reason for your demise.
Diluc was quite literally, in all aspects - the perfect partner, both in paper and in reality. He often took you out to late night dinners whenever you had overtime, he left you little trinkets all over the house, and he even introduced you to his father as the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. It was all going so well.
But when Crepus Ragnvindr had suddenly died from a heart attack, Diluc didn't take the news well. He began to neglect himself, only ever focusing on you. Who were you with? Why were you home so late? By god, what if you got into a sudden accident?!
It was another night spent shouting and throwing. A pair of strong arms wrap itself around your waist, pulling you closer to him like he was afraid he'll lose you - like you weren't just at each other's throats earlier because apparently, hanging out with your friends and getting home a tad bit late is a crime punishable by death now.
Diluc was obsessive over you and your well being - you must understand, he can't lose the only other person in his life left! Kaeya has long left him and so has Crepus. It was just you and him against this cruel, cruel world.
But it was suffocating you. HE was suffocating you. It was too much. His love isn't passionate and home anymore, it was heavy.
"How long will it take for you to just... Let me go, 'Luc? I can't do this anymore." You laugh, pretending as if you were talking to a conscious person.
He doesn't say anything. But you knew if he'd heard it, he'd call you ungrateful and selfish. And another fight breaks out, the cycle simply repeats.
But Diluc won't back down, no - he will never.
For all he wanted was your safety, don't you see?
Tumblr media
Childe was a family oriented man, above all. He made it clear to you from the very first day that before he was your lover - he was a son and an older brother. He treasured his siblings and would often be out with them, leaving you all alone in the house with nothing to do but clean, wait for him and act like a loving spouse - which, you weren't. "Yet," he said, but you aren't so sure if you would stick around long enough.
Most of the time you felt more like a servant rather than his partner, you took up more than half of the responsibilities around the house and you barely even saw each other because he was either out working or with his siblings.
One time, however, when his youngest brother - Teucer, was in the house playing and running around while Childe left you to "bond" with him (when really it was just an excuse for him to leave and go to his work without his brother finding what he did for a living), did things start to go south. He accidentally knocked one of the only portraits you had from your childhood, a competition that you won in which both of your parents were in the frame - from more than a decade ago. It was your father's last gift to you before he accidentally got into a car crash.
Unable to control your anger - you lashed out at the young child, making him cry. You hadn't noticed that Childe was right by the door frame.
He immediately stormed over and kneeled down to console his little brother who was a crying mess, barely stuttering out an "I'm sorry," and "I'll never do it again."
Childe was fuming, but so were you.
"GET OUT." His voice was hard and stern.
"FINE THEN!" You screamed, running up the stairs and hastily grabbing your things.
From the corner of your eye you see Childe rush into the room, he pulls your arm over and asks, "Are you fucking serious [name]? Once you step out of our house it's over."
"YOUR house. Not mine. I'm sick and tired of your bullshit, I'm giving up. You knew how much that portrait meant to me." You spat venom.
"For fucks sakes Teucer is just a child! He makes mistakes, and the picture isn't ruined - look! It's just the frame, stop being so immature [name] it's fixable!" Childe argues.
"I don't give a fuck if it was just the frame, this single thing held much more value to me than you'll ever do." You seethe, grabbing the picture out of his hand and pushing him away to leave.
Tumblr media
Loving Xiao was easy, but understanding him was another thing. You thought that with time, the distance between the two of you will slowly disappear - but it never did.
No matter how much he claimed to love you, he refused to tell you anything about what was bothering him and how he felt. Communication was a foreign thing in your relationship, and you knew that continuing on like this would prove to be difficult. So you broke things off, despite loving him with your whole being.
Surprisingly, he took it quite well. No questions asked, no why's and where did it all go wrong. Perhaps he also thought that things were never gonna work out between you two. At least, you thought. The subtle change was there, it began with him slowly avoiding you to openly walking out whenever his eyes met yours. The air between the both of you had taken a nasty turn, for better for him - for worst for you.
Eventually he began meeting someone else, and his world began to light up again. You often pass by the couple enjoying their time together. Seeing Xiao look much more happier with her rather than he was with you was like a jab to your ego, what does she have that you don't? Why is she capable of making him smile that way when you can't? You want to be bitter about how easily he's given up on mending things with you - but you know it yourself that you have no right. Especially when you were the one who had broken up with him first.
Xiao was in the hands of someone better now, better than you'll ever be. So why feel envious? Why feel sour?
You crumble with regret when you realize that had you just given him time - a little more time to feel at ease with you, he would have opened up too. He would've treated you the same as he did her now - hell, possibly even better. He was always capable of change - but you just didn't trust him. Xiao didn't give up on you, you did.

Yes I WANT Klee and Albedo to feel at home in Dawn Winery after the amounts of time Kaeya drags them there. YES I want Albedo and Diluc to have a 4 hour chess match with their little siblings rooting for them (Or, Kaeya rooting for Albedo and Klee for Diluc cus Pyro Solidatary). Y E S I want Albedo and Addie to get along and bond over Klee (and making fun of Diluc and Kaeya), Albedo teaching her how to tuck her in and all the special little things she likes for when he's too busy to do it himself or when she's at the winery with the brothers. YES I want Diluc to teach Klee to channel her vision through a sword, and I want her to teach him how to make Diluc shaped bombs. y e s I want the entire household to be chaotic in the morning, Diluc yelling because where the fuck did all the hair brushes in the mansion go, Kaeya running around trying to find Klee's bag, Albedo running after Klee to brush her hair (he has the brush), and Adelinde calmly ignoring everything and making tea and breakfast. Oh my GOD I want them to be a family holy SHIT

Genshin Thoughts/Theories No One Asked For (Spoilers) —Relationship Edition, Part 2
I'm writing these posts on the Tumblr app, and I hit the 10-image limit on the last post, so I had to separate them. So, here's the second part of the Relationship Edition of "Thoughts No One Asked For."
3. The Traveler and the Abyss Twin
Tumblr media
It would be an injustice to discuss relationships in Genshin Impact without mentioning the relationship that started it all: Aether and Lumine.
For the purpose of this analysis, however, I'm going to refer to them as the Traveler and the Abyss Twin to avoid confusion. After all, the content I'm going to discuss will namely relate to the experiences of the Traveler, rather Aether and Lumine themselves.
Okay? Okay.
Tumblr media
Genshin Impact opens with the above cutscene: a battle between the twins and the Unknown God, presumably during the Cataclysm. Her reasons for interferring with us remain unclear, but regardless of what her true intentions were, the Traveler is dealt a devastating blow all the same: we lose our sibling.
It's obvious to me that from how this scene plays out, the Traveler and the Abyss Twin have a profound bond. The Traveler, once apprehended by the Unknown God, appears more concerned about the whereabouts of their sibling than their own wellbeing, shouting the now iconic, "give my sister/brother back!"
In contrast, the Abyss Twin doesn't express themselves much throughout cutscene. However, based on the expression they make when they're initially captured, the Abyss Twin is equally distressed by the separation as the Traveler is. It's almost, as though, there has never been an instant in their long lives where they've ever walked into tomorrow without each other.
So, I think it's safe to assume I wasn't the only one surprised when the Abyss Twin was revealed to be, well, the Abyss Twin.
Tumblr media
The scene, itself, was phenomenal. The Traveler's heartbreak, their disbelief—it showcased more of their relationship with their sibling than I think is initially obvious. As though the Traveler couldn't have imagined a single scenario where their sibling would leave them behind—especially after being separated for so long.
Even now, as we near Fontaine's curtain call, we still have no clear answers to why the Abyss Twin has aligned with the Abyss Order. Their motives and aims are completely opaque to us. Nonetheless, I refuse to believe the Abyss Twin is indifferent to the Traveler. If anything, I think they're just as secure in their bond with the Traveler as they've always been.
Before the Abyss Twin leaves the Traveler behind, they tell them: "Once you reach the end of your journey, as I did, you will see for yourself the true nature of this world." To me, this sounds like the Abyss Twin expects the Traveler to reach the same conclusion about Teyvet as they have, and will eventually rejoin them in favour of the Abyss.
But, I'm not so sure about that.
In spite of their visual similarities, and of course, their relative "closeness," the Traveler and their sibling are still their own people. Moreover, it's presumably been centuries since the Abyss Twin journeyed through Teyvet, so that stands to reason that the world, itself, has also evolved in significant ways.
In fact, I think that by the time we do come to the end of our journey, the Traveler will align themselves with Teyvet to protect them from their sibling. Tragic, but likely, in my opinion.
Tumblr media
4. Diluc and Kaeya
I know I briefly touched on their relationship in another post, but I have a lot of thoughts about Diluc and Kaeya. So, let's delve into them.
Tumblr media
Since Crepus' death, Diluc's and Kaeya's relationship has been marked by bitterness and resentment.
Their decisions, that night, had irreversible consequences—both for them as individuals and for their once positive relationship.
I mean, Diluc almost killed Kaeya. And, I believe if Kaeya hadn't gained his Cryo Vision when he did, Diluc would've succeeded. After all, Diluc was the Calvary Captain for the Knights of Favonius at the time, and while Kaeya was no doubt trained in combat, he didn't have Diluc's raw strength or his honed skill. Kaeya was no match for him.
As for Kaeya himself, I struggle to understand what he was thinking—revealing his origins to Diluc, only hours after their father's death. I have speculated that it was most likely guilt that led him to that particular confession, but by God, the timing. It truly couldn't have been worse than that.
Tumblr media
Nonetheless, I stand by what I said in that other post: I don't believe Kaeya expected Diluc to lose it the way he did.
Until then, their relationship had been the most enduring aspect of their young, adolescent lives. So much so that the people of Mondstadt often likened them to twins. Their foundations, both as friends and as brothers, seemed like it could withstand anything. And I believe that's why Kaeya confessed it at all.
He trusted in their relationship. He trusted that, while his brother would be furious, their differences could eventually be resolved. But that's not how it turned out. Not even in the slightest. Kaeya's cold, biting jabs at Diluc we see in-game seem to be born from that perceived betrayal. After all, in all the lies Kaeya was forced to tell, the one truth he held onto was his brother's faith in him.
Diluc, on the other hand, was already at the edge of his endurance. His father was dead, and based on what was presented to us in the Genshin webtoon, it's implied he was forced to take Crepus' life to spare him from all the adverse effects caused by his Delusion. Emotionally, Diluc was an exposed nerve, and Kaeya's truth was the final straw.
He lashed out, and he aimed to kill. Almost as though the last few hours had accumulated into a rage that blinded him entirely. Kaeya was all he had left, but in that moment, Diluc was no longer certain he even had that. His best friend, his brother, had been lying to him all this time. How could he be certain of anything? Let alone be certain of a relationship built on half-truths and deception. So, that's why I think Diluc makes all those scathing, ill-mannered comments in-game at Kaeya's expense.
Tumblr media
I don't know if the rift gaping between them can ever be bridged, not after all that happened that night, but if there is a chance, it will have to start with them acknowledging their own mistakes. Otherwise, their relationship will endure as we see it now: fractured and irreparable.

Hi hello yes.
I saw the post about dead characters reborn and how crepus adopted creator! Reader and my first thought was-
Oh shit Diluc and Kaeya are both (technically) the creators siblings now.
How do they react to this?
Three words.
Complete. System. Crash.
They’re beyond the point of just being confused, they’re both having a fundamental breakdown because how are they supposed to process this new information?!
Though they won’t ever have the same kind of close bond that they had before that fateful day, someone who really knew them would be able to testify that the two had been treating each other a bit more kindly.
It’s not perfect, but it’s something.
If it makes you happy, they’re willing to at least put in the effort to make things better.
They’ll almost certainly be a bit awkward and formal about it all at first, but if you treat them as though they really are your brothers, that won’t last long.
That may not be exactly always going to go in your favor though [Name]~! After all, Kaeya does have a tendency to tease, and after all he’s been through, Diluc can be a bit overprotective.
If you ever encounter anyone rude of unpleasant during your time in the Nation of Freedom, rest assured you won’t have to deal with them again. No no, their not dead, but a firm admonishment from the Calvary Capitan would have been persuasive enough, let alone the ominous letter slipped under the door under the cover of night signed by the Darknight Hero.
If you mention this in front of them, Kaeya will politely find an excuse to slip out and compose himself before returning to the conversation. He’s fine with a lot of things when it comes to you, but showing his embarrassed expression in front of Diluc? Not a chance.
Diluc on the other hand, has one of two responses, and the result is entirely random. Either he’ll turn away with a small huff and claim he has no idea what your referring to, or he’ll just avoid eye contact while blushing heavily.
All in all, they’ll just need a bit to open up to you is all.

I have a question!
So in Academy au, let's say that the reader has a brother, who likes to fight and tease reader, what will the genshin boys do with this? Let's say the reader cares for their brother in secret, like a Diluc and Kaeya relationship, they often fight but there are some scenes where they show that they do care for each other.
What would they do?
to be completely honest, this feels like a situation that would deeply affect diluc and kaeya!
the falling out from so many years ago has greatly distanced kaeya away from his adoptive family, to the point where he lives separately from the dawn winery manor (of course, in a luxurious penthouse funded by his father because hey, gotta mooch off when you can). if the brothers pass by each other in the halls they try to not notice each other at all, but when their eyes do meet there is both obvious hostility and a melancholiness they try to hide.
perhaps their relationship worsens when they finally meet you, the hardworking student who, despite all your flaws, has become their unwilling savior. you soothe diluc's disgust for the impureness of society, the last hope of a perfect soul. kaeya has become dependent on your presence no matter how much he tries to hide it behind a flirty facade. you give one hope, the other companionship.
so when the two manage to stumble upon you and your brother, nostalgia and a dull ache in their chest make it hard to breathe.
you're both fighting, shouting swears, and hissing threats with such animosity that it's hard to distinguish whether or not they're real. you stomp off, obviously frustrated, while your brother puts up a finger and sticks a tongue at your back. the following day, however, they find you running after your brother while waving a lunch box in the air. you nag at him for forgetting his lunch ( they find out that you've dutifully woken up early and cooked your family's meals ) while he complains to you for making the box's contents all messy and ugly.
he comes off a brat, your brother, and the red-and-blue duo also thinks so. he whines and teases you, not mindful of your boundaries, and he seems like he doesn't do anything for you in return.
more time passes and they finally glimpse the soft smile whenever he hears your name being praised by admirers, or the sparkle in his eye when he sees your name on trophies and medals hung in the halls. there is jealousy, sure, some inferiority complex, but he tries his hardest. diluc sees how hard he works to not muddy your name. kaeya observes how heated he gets when someone mocks you and your low standing.
it becomes apparent that you siblings still have the bond that they used to have. the kind where you can still smile and care for each other openly despite your differences.
it's a surprise when kaeya and diluc are suddenly face-to-face with your brother whose eyes brim with immense suspicious. he threatens them, the fool that he is, to stop lurking near you. he sees how they look at you and how dark and despairing their gazes can get.
they've suffered enough for the family, your brother hisses with a crack in his voice. they don't deserve any of this anymore.
it's the first time in their journey to claim you as theirs that they've truly hesitated.

Kaeya Headcanons!!!!!!!!!! (FF = Found Family)
Tumblr media
Kaeya Alberich-Ragnvindr
he/they/she
23
Genderflux, Demisexual, Demiromantic, Bi
In an unlabeled relationship with Huffman Schmidt
Family: Crepus Ragnvindr (Dad), Diluc Ragnvindr (Brother), Jean (FF Sister), Eula (FF Sister), Bennett (FF Brother), Klee (FF Sister), Collei (FF Sister)
Best Friend: Rosaria Nacht
Kaeya is genderflux. This basically means that they're genderfluid with fluctuating intensities. They feel masculine most of the time, but often feel like a girl, too. They paint their nails different colors to let people know what pronouns to use. Is this me projecting onto Kaeya? Maybe.
Kaeya loves wearing dresses. They make him feel beautiful. However, he also loves suits. It's always a challenge to pick out an outfit for special occasions. One constant in his outfits is the fluffy scarf.
Kaeya's right eye is partially blind. It has a burn scar over it from his fight with Diluc. He uses his eyepatch and his hair to cover it.
She has nerve damage in both of her hands and her left shoulder from severe burns.
Her left leg is a prosthetic, which she often switches out for a peg leg to play pirate with the kids of Mondstadt. It was amputated when Crepus first adopted her, as it was severely damaged.
Despite what most people believe, Kaeya is actually incredibly shy. Although he is beloved by many people in Mondstadt, he is very selective about the people he gets close to. This is due in part to his paranoia. There are few people who’ve given him any reason to trust him in the past, why should he start now? One of the few people he opened his heart to ended up dead, and the other almost killed him.
Kaeya and Eula bond over their family issues. Kaeya sees her as a sister. They’re both considered untrustworthy by people in Mondstadt, so they support each other as much as they can.
Kaeya taught Bennett how to use his sword. They still meet up to spar sometimes, and Kaeya’s constantly giving him tips. It reminds Kaeya of sparring with Diluc when they were kids.
After Collei left Mondstadt, Kaeya felt incredibly guilty about the way they went about their investigation. They went to Sumeru with the traveler and apologized to her, explaining what happened. After a while, they became best friends and now see each other as siblings.
Kaeya has 3 big dogs: an Icelandic sheepdog named Sigrid, an Australian shepherd named Eira, and an Irish setter named Annika. He also has a cat, a Scottish fold named Fiske. The three dogs are girls, but Fiske is a boy. All of his pets live inside his house and, a lot of times, they sleep (or at least try to sleep) in his bed. He loves them too much to say no, even though they each have their own comfy beds. All of them were strays who were terrified of people until Kaeya came along.
Kaeya’s house is incredibly clean, despite the amount of pets he has. He's a very tidy person.
Kaeya is a great cook. She doesn’t often cook for herself, though. She's too busy with her work to bother. She makes home cooked meals for her pets more often than she does for herself.
It took forever for Kaeya to notice that Huffman was into them. But when they did notice, they began to realize just how much they liked him back. Kaeya doesn't fall first, but when they do, they fall hard.
Kaeya helps Mika train to use his vision.
Speaking of Mika, Kaeya uses his position as Captain to make Huffman and Mika spend time together and bond by bringing both of them on missions with him. He doesn't have a good relationship with his brother, but maybe he can save the Schmidts from that same fate.
Kaeya is often invited to other nations for diplomatic parties. This is due to his charm and charisma. He's invited to Fatui-run balls at the Zapolyarny Palace, where he gathers intel on the Harbingers without them noticing. He's just that chill.
They still send letters to Diluc occasionally, updating him on their life. They also send birdseed for his falcon.

Didn't you once make a genshin pokemon au? How's that going?
If I had any ounce of artistic ability, I'd be sketching the hell out of this au
For now it's just a list of every genshin character and the pokemon I think they would train based on their design and personality. Some are the same elemental type as the character's Vision while others are based on designs and backstories
And note that these are all personal partner choices!!
had to put everything under the cut because it really is every genshin character
Traveler: Swoobat, Solrock (Aether)/Lunatone (Lumine), Alolan Raichu, Celebi (borrowed!), Dewott
side note, the traveler switches partner when they would switch elements in the game. at times when the traveler can use multiple elements is when they use multiple partners, if that makes sense
Bold means Gym Leader
Italicized means Archon
Khaenri’ah - Psychic Gym? Ghost Gym? What are they???

Okay so lore time:
Visions = Pokéballs
Archons and other ancient beings, depending on their stories - some of them (at least Venti and Zhongli) - were “Divine” Pokémon that took on human forms once their species died out and now can train Pokémon like regular people
Unlike other regions where Pokéballs are all over the place, Teyvat only has “Vision Balls” which are gifted to people by the Divine Seven. It’s tricky to explain, but trainers whose Pokémon use Vision Balls can power-up their partners further than just their Pokemon traveling around by their sides
But because training Pokémon like this was invented by the Divine Seven in this region, the Raiden Shogun is seizing all Pokéballs from her area of jurisdiction so that no trainer may become as powerful as she, the Divine Gym Leader
Of course, other people can have Pokémon without Vision Balls, but those who have been gifted Pokéballs are said to be the most powerful trainers in the region
And then there’s the Traveler who can use the effects of a Vision Ball, but without one
Delusions could be like artificial Vision Balls that boost Pokémons’ abilities a fuck ton, but at the expense of their energy and potentially life force
Vision Balls boost the bond between trainer and Pokémon, Delusions exploit this
I’ve planned that the Abyss Order is corrupting Pokémon across the region using psychic type moves for their own purposes
Teyvat as a region is a giant melting pot of different Pokémon
The Fatui want to bring glory to the Ice Gym, the Abyss Order wants to restore their lost power
And Dainsleif was cursed when the Divine Seven had Khaenri’ah destroyed, just like Genshin lore
What do y'all think?

Welcome to Kaeluc's official Tumblr fan blog. Kaeluc or LucKae describes a shipping (mating) between Kaeya Alberich and Diluc Ragnvindr from the game Genshin Impact. Kaeluc is one of the most popular Shippings in Genshin Impact and therefore the most hated. Shippers (fans) love the dynamic between the couple, as the two are very opposites, but still have such a bond with each other that they can sense each other's thoughts. Even the person who draws the Genshin Impact webcomics ships this ship, and Mihoyo itself tweeted fanart confirming the pair. Antis argue that Kaeya and Diluc are adoptive brothers and therefore cannot have a relationship. In the original Chinese version, however, they are only sworn brothers, which does not represent family relationships. Especially becaue a romance between adoptive siblings is not forbidden in every country. ~*~ This blog reposts posts from the couple on Tumblr and rarely creates its own posts from time to time. So you can decide whether you want to follow or not.

I just saw your posts about the reader being diluc’s younger sibling and I was wondering how the reunion would turn out. I imagine that by the time they meet again years later that the reader has through the ranks of the fatui. Not exactly harbinger level (idk) but like its clear that they are important to the other harbingers and the tsaritsa. And they come back with signora during the beginning of the game to get venti’s gnosis and probably has a verbal smackdown with diluc (who is remorseful for their last interaction after getting years of self reflection and realizing he was at fault for almost killing them and ruining their relationship with each other). They probably fought each other when they first reunited (reader doing shady fatui stuff and diluc as the dark knight hero) and they manage to knock each others masks off and the reader retreats after theirs gets knocked off. I feel like diluc would probably apologize (not exactly forgive or be the same sibling dynamics but to civil again) and the reader basically isn’t having it and puts emphasis on how diluc cut them off back then and how now their roles are reversed leaving a stunned diluc behind. Not to mention their grudge with kaeya who didn’t even check on them after he left and basically let them get taken by the fatui.
YOO I kinda ran out of writer juice for today BUT before I forget, everything you said makes so much sense. It wouldn't be a tearful reunion, nor a completely violent one. (I apologise if it doesn't turn out great or anything like that I'm sleepy :') F)
If Diluc was still willing to talk with the Kaeya via mail, I can only imagine he'll regret the shit out of his actions as time goes by.
And while he goes thru existential crisis for abandoning a 13 y/o in a puddle of mud, just because they were protecting the secret of someone they loved, reader sharpens their hate for him.
What they don't expect though is to tear up from nostalgia after he knocks off their mask.
The harbingers, being fond of them in their own way, make sure to talk reader into cutting their bonds with their brothers once and for all. Since they hurt them and stuff. It's kinda manipulative BUT they have "good" intentions (and are right lmao).
Meanwhile Diluc feels twice the piece of shit because the first thing he does after three years of absolutely zero news about their sibling is to make them cry LOL.
He tries desperately to find something, anything about his sibling after that. He knows they're fatui, and yet despite his endless networks he can't find them. Hell he even asks kaeya for help, who gladly obliges him because he feels thrice the piece of shit and needs to apologise as well (with love <3)
In the end reader willingly goes to angle's share, while signora does her stuff with venti and the traveller. It somehow end up in a heated discussion between the three of them (though I doubt they'd force the subject if reader rejected their apologies) and bam: reader, fed up with their pathetic bullshit, pulls the collar of their uniform down and shows the scars Diluc left behind.
"How many times I tried to forget you, both of you. But this damn thing won't leave me alone. Here, are you happy now? Do you get why I can't sweep it all under the rug?"
And before it escalates further they leave, while Diluc and Kaeya just want to dig up a hole and die in here from the sheer amount of shame and regret.
Yes I'm feeling angsty today how could you tell? 😃
