prior to ACME Night’s interesting lineup of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Jack Stauber’s SHOP: A Pop Opera, and Futurama featuring, for the second time on ACME Night, “Parasites Lost”.

Of course classic Tom and Jerry wasn’t the only thing Tom and Jerry that aired on CN... Tom & Jerry Kids Show returned to the network after 17 YEARS since it last aired on CN!

so i've been rewatching dc animated movies recently and i genuinely don't understand how justice league: crisis on two earths is so loved especially by COMIC STANS.... besides the villains being lame outside of owlman, i just can't get behind the fact that they had rose wilson get with j'onn (who was known to be a minor in comics at the time) and brainwash us into accepting it. and arguably, this is me including a small bit of bias after finding out that superwoman is supposed to be MARY BATSON AKA MARY MARVEL. who KISSES batman. and they even joke about the rose & j'onn romance in the end by having j'onn say something like "knowing my luck, she's probably evil in my universe." well you're not wrong except she's also a TEENAGER. it's so ickyyyyy

Earth 3 Black Canary

The White Cat costume first appeared in JLA: Earth-2 and it's placement in a display case is a reference to the Golden Age Black Canary members of the JSA who would later become the mother to the modern age Black Canary.

Her second appearance this time in the flesh was in Countdown #31 as a member of the Crime Society this worlds JSA. If I had to guess this would be the daughter of the first White Cat.

Scream Queen was the name of the earth 3 Black Canary counterpart seen in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths working as a maid man for Johnny Quick. Her name is a reference to Nina Skorzeny the lead singer of the monstrous band Scare Tactics and both of them take their name from the phrase "Scream Queen" which was used to describe Fay Wray performance in the first King Kong Movie and would go on to be a phrases commonly used when referring to women in horror movies.

Lastly but most recently Black Siren aka Dinah first appearing is a cameo in Crime Syndicate #2 she then went on to have a speaking role in Suicide Squad #5 in which she was forcefully recruited to the primary Suicide Squad by Bloodsport. Her outfit of course is based on her appearance in League: Crisis on Two Earths and took her name from the heroic character who was a reference to the golden age Black Canary and appeared in the Justice League TV Show Episode: 18.

The identity was also used as an evil earth 2 Dinah Laurel Lance on the arrow TV show.

I just watched the Justice League: Crisis on Two Worlds movie, the one where they fight the Crime Syndicate from Earth-3 and... Batman is absolutely pulling no punches in this movie

The first scene has him tell Flash he isn't sure if the new teleporter technology will work before teleporting Flash up to the Watchtower, then he just takes the giant pretzel out of his hands and starts eating it.

I do love that Wonder Woman is just like 'Barry, he was kidding ;)' She just gets Bruce's humor

Then later they need to make an interdimensional portal that involves somebody vibrating super fast and Batman immediately says that Flash isn't fast enough and they need the evil australian speedster instead. and that's a total lie. they're equally fast, he just didn't want Flash to do it because it literally ends up killing johnny quick. bro said 'i'm not gonna make my friend do it'

then he straps owlman to a bomb and sends him to an empty dimension to blow up. like he did not have to do that. he wanted to. yes it's owlman's bomb that he was going to use to destroy all of reality but batman isn't usually that vindictive. maybe genocide of all human life across the multiverse for the heck of it was a step too far. but it also just seems like bruce is annoyed to be there since he turned down the mission at first on the basis that another earth was not their problem

In Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, it shows this world has the alternate versions of Wonder Woman and Batman together as a couple. It makes you question if this implies that the real Bruce and Diana are compatible.

On one hand, the immediate answer is no because this is the opposite dimension. They're together in the bad one, so they shouldn't be in the good one.

But on the other hand, you have to examine why these two work well as a couple.

Superwoman is a vindictive, domineering, and promiscuous brute who values Owlman's drive and passion. She immediately drops her ambitions at the prospect of something greater. Owlman is a complete nihilist who is souly driven by his mission to find purpose. They're down to have a little fun before it all goes down. Their craziness compliments each other.

Now examine Diana and Bruce. Wonder Woman is a selfless, supportive, strong-willed agent of peace and love who will stand for anything as long as she believes it's right.

As Owlman's opposite, Batman is the most caring person there is. He does what he does because he belives there is value in every life. His purpose is defined by his mission to preserve all of that. Bruce and Diana's VIRTUES compliment each other.

Therefore, I believe that WonderBat is a good ship on a fundamental level.
