Okay! This is just something my brain handed me while talking about my minecraft servers lore with friends, and there may be a little CSD au inspiration, but I'll keep it to a minimum

Basically, in that smp, the gods are so powerful that they can't interact with the mortal realm without causing mass destruction

So! A solution is! A mortal vessel to puppet around!

Now this au is gonna be a lil different, no minecraft or found family for the gods, but i think its neat

I've decided for this au there are "old" gods and "new" gods, and I'll think of better names, and that only old gods use vessels, new gods are not powerful enough to need them

Now, Vessel Stuff™️:

A god must manually mark their intended vessel (comes in the form of a tattoo looking thing, unique to each vessel)

Each mark on the Mark can either be a spell or decoration (usually spells! Illusion spells help the vessel hide the mark from other mortals or even other gods)

The Vesseling Process is rather painful (in my smp writing, i described it as "like every nerve was on fire", but i may tone it down here)

Vessels take on physical traits from their Gods (wings, horns/antlers, eye colors, fur, tails, etc.)

As time goes on, a vessel will obtain powers from said god
